In honor of Orktober, a parade of projects ancient and current. First up is the scrap trakk, at this point it just needs some orky glyphs on the broad surfaces at the front and on the gun shield to call it complete.

Ancient stuff; #1 is a card model using a template from a white dwarf magazine, I need to upgrade it with armor plates and rivets. #2 is a pair of Runtherders. #3 is a Blood Axe Commando captain, a metal banner pole holder from 1988, a modified metal orc body with plastic arms and a Space Marine heavy bolter, and a mekboy from GorkaMorka. #4 is a Weirdboy with minders from the early 1990s, and an Eldar tinboy.

Digging through my old minis I'm very tempted to go back and put little highlights here and there to help there colors pop, I went through a period where everything got dark washes and was very muted.

I feel so bad for selling the sword he crafted for me the very next second he gave it to Geralt

10. Regis by Marta Dettlaff

This card holds a very special place in my heart not because it’s portraying my favorite character from the books and a lot of good birbs but because of the composition. It was the first premium I crafted even tho as a total greenhorn I knew I wouldn’t even use it. Plus you’ll see a lot of moons in the background on this list.

9. Crimson Curse by Christof Grobelski

I remember seeing the trailer for the first Gwent expansion and how it blew me away with it’s cool artwork. These damn colors are soooooo *chef’s kiss*. Red plus dark blue looks so good together. Moon in the background? Check.

8. Abaya by Adrian Smith 

Smith’s artwork in Gwent has always stood out to me in a very positive way. I love how much character his art has.

7. Spontaneous Evolution by Zuzanna Kapuścińska

Card from upcoming expansion. I love how horrifying this art is. Gives me major The Thing vibes. Bloody red moon in the background? Instant fave.

6. Vivaldi Bank by Christof Grobelski

Another artwork by Grobelski. I’m putting this on the list for my love for architecture and Novigrad.

5. Tinboy by Valeriy Vegera

I love the messiness of this artwork, it’s very rough, colors are great. Man, that faceless dude with hood in the background? Fucking delicious.

Peaceful, soft, this is how love feels and Chlewinska pictured it perfectly.

Colors go brrr squirrel cute, I love the way Katarzyna Bekus draws faces.

2. Anything Lorenzo Mastroianni has touched

Lorenzo’s artstyle is the best thing that happened to Gwent. That dude is a time traveler from the past. It’s so rare for a digital artist to mimic real life oil paintings in such good way. I could stare at Iris: Shade forever and it belongs in the museum.

1.  Phoenix by Anna Podedworna

I love this card, it’s probably my favorite gwent card and I’m so happy it has such a nice artwork. Akreon’s art in Gwent has always been praised and for a very good reason. I LOVE Phoenix. I love how creative Podedworna was while making this illustration. This is the first time I saw a phoenix as something more than regular birb but in flames. It’s terrifying and majestic at the same time. Also, what a cool idea to put a tiny birb inside of the phoenix’s ribcage.
