Yooooo what if

What if the player characters aren't able to hop through time and space, but the villains are? I don't know a lot of good examples from fiction but "immortals vs time travelers" could be a super interesting series of conflicts. Either that or playing separate groups across history who have to repel the incursions of artifact hunters... Rather than worry about what the PCs know, you could go through their lives linearly. One of them is born as Ati in Punt, 6000 BCE. She sees her first agent of the Museum in 3200 BCE - strangers watching at the burial of a priest near Memphis. She will see her last agent of the Museum when she and her allies bring their plans to an end and bring back the stolen treasures. But the agents see her, try to recruit or bribe or kill her, dozens or hundreds of times, and all out of order (it seems).

What kind of immortal people would want to stand up to a time-traveling agency? Vampires? Mummies? Maybe something like from the Old Guard movie?

Being recruited to keep various relics and artifacts safe from a dimension hopping organization known only as "The British Museum".

RPG a Day, Day Six

Favorite game you never get to play: As a Forever GM, I almost never get to play any RPG on the tabletop.

Now, there's those TimeWatch and Night's Black Agents mini-campaigns that I keep threatening my players with, but those are more "fun concepts to play around with" at this point.
