���It’s your fault!” Caleb screamed at them. “My master is dead and it’s because of you!” The teen turned and ran down the dark cave.

“Kid, wait!” Hunter called after him, intending to try and catch him, but a firm hand on his shoulder stopped him.

“Let him go,” Crosshair urged. “We’re already down one man; we can’t risk losing you, too.”

Hunter sighed and looked to where Tech was trying to put splints on Wrecker’s legs with the few supplies and resources they had in this abandoned mine. They were down by a lot more than just one man.

The avalanche had started seemingly out of nowhere. They’d run as fast as they could in a desperate and futile attempt to escape it. By some miracle, they’d almost literally stumbled upon an open mine shaft and scrambled in. They’d been with General Bilaba’s battalion. She and her young commander or apprentice or padawan or whatever those mysterious Jedi called themselves had kept pace with them as they ran. Hunter was able to snatch the young man and toss him into the mine…but he hadn’t been fast enough to save the general.

The tunnel had collapsed behind them as the avalanche raged above them, falling rock and debris trapping Wrecker’s legs, breaking both of them. As far as Hunter knew, they were the only ones who’d survived the disaster, and now they were stuck inside the mountain until they could find some way to escape. But they couldn’t do that until they could devise some sort of litter for Wrecker.

And now Caleb had run off, angry and devastated over his master’s death.

Hunter sighed again as he turned away from where the kid had disappeared. There was nothing they could do for now, especially if he didn’t even want their help. The only hope they had, the only option before them, was to find a way to survive. And maybe, just maybe, Caleb would find a way, too.

Robot/ficto talk time because being a robot is weird for me sometimes 🤖

Being very different from most robots can be hard because I sometimes feel like I don't have the right to call myself one (ik I don't need permission from anyone for who i am, I'm just mentally ill). I'm not tech savy and have no interest in learning, and I have a learning disability that severley impacts the way I can do/understand a lot of things robots are 'supposed' to be good at. This only names a few reasons. But also that's literally a key aspect of my being that was done on purpose (I was built to be just Some Guy), and it becomes kinda euphoric when I think about it that way? It's a strange and complicated thing for me but it helps to know my creator literally nerfed some of my abilities for a reason and I'm literally just supposed to be his little guy. Like, I have some abilities, but for the most part he intentionally made me to be explicitly average/relatable to humans and their capabilities, and that gives me some peace of mind :]
