From Rogue: The Savage Land #1 (2025) by Tim Seeley & Zulema Scotto Lavina
This was a rather sweet moment, but I was hoping there would be at least a mention of Mystique as Rogue was reminiscing about her past. And it would also be interesting if she would acknowledge how the absorbed memories can be a font of distress as well as comfort, since she struggled with that in the past. Still, it was nice to see Storm represented there as she was the first person Rogue touched with consent

Tim Seeley's Rogue > Gail Simone's Rogue.
Seeley gets her character on a deeper level and writes her well, whereas Simone continuously misses the mark. The first issue of Rogue: The Savage Land #1 out sold her issue of Uncanny X-Men #8 in January and required a reprint because of its success. Her fans are in denial and calling anyone who buys the issue horney perverts. I'm secretly reveling in her downfall because of the snide remarks she's made on social media toward Seeley and Rogue: The Savage Land and towards fans of Rogueneto. It's completely uncalled for. Writers should be supporting each other, and it's unprofessional to do otherwise. Gail Simone and the puritanical antiship cult she's fostered online can cry harder.

"Nightwing isn't *really* Romani. It was only mentioned in one or two issues and then basically never again." ... Seriously?
I can only imagine this kind of statement comes from people who don't actually read Nightwing comics. But for all the deniers out there...

Friendly reminder that Romani people-- not to mention mixed Romani-- can have a huge range of skin tones, including light or 'white-passing' as we so often see with Dick. His father was alluded to being of Italian-Romani descent in Post-Crisis and New 52, and his mother was stated to be a French-Romani immigrant in Rebirth. It's unclear whether his father being Rom is still canon with the whole Gray Son of Gotham thing, but it's entirely possible it is, leaving the safe assumption that Dick is somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 Romani.
*His "barely decipherable accent" could simply be due to the fact Dick was raised surrounded by many people with all kinds of accents so he didn't learn a definitive one (think not Gothamite, Midwestern, etc. but a blend) or this could be Grant Morrison attempting a nod at his Roma heritage without really considering Dick did, in fact, grow up speaking fluent English rather than purely a Romani dialect which wouldn't be surprising considering their writing of other minority characters (*cough* Talia).
**The Cirque Romanès is a real French-Romani circus Mary Grayson and Raptor were canonically part of. For extra clarity, however, Tim Seeley confirmed on Twitter that Mary is indeed Romani.

Red Sonja vs. the Army of Darkness #2 by Tim Seeley and Jim Terry. Cover by Björn Barends. Variant covers by (2) Seeley, (3) Tom Raney and (4) Nikkol Jelenic. Out in May.
"THE GREATEST PARTNERSHIP SINCE BONNIE AND CLYDE!
Now that they're stuck with each other and facing off against both a Deadite horde and Kulan Gath, Sonja and Ash form an uneasy… alliance? Yeah, let's go with that. But can the She-Devil with a Sword and the hapless hero with a boomstick cooperate long enough to stop this fresh influx of evil into the Hyborian Age? And more important - is that… a Deadite unicorn?!?
Comic book necromancers TIM SEELEY (Hack/Slash, Batman Eternal) and JIM TERRY (Sundowners, Alice Cooper vs. Chaos) delve into the forbidden realms to bring you the second issue of Red Sonja vs. The Army of Darkness - featuring torturously tinted covers wrought by the gnarled hands of SEELEY, BJORN BARENDS, TOM RANEY, and NIKKOL JELENIC!"
