I had a hard time deciding how to start that post but decided to go with:

Cherik - X men

There are multiple reasons why this ship means the world to me and will be allways close to my heart.

First, at all I grew up with the xmen movies. Cuddled up with my best friend, in her bed, watching the old x men movies (xm1 to 3) until 2 o’clock in the night. It is a feeling like coming home. And the underlying queer theme allways attracted me.

Second: I am a sucker for the enemies to lover trope. It is this amazing thing that no matter how much they “hate” each other, or how long they have not seen eachother, or how deeply they hurted eachother if one one of them is in danger the other one will allways run and save the other one. This is love imo

Also they are as canon as they could be in Hollywood. My headcanon for young!Cherik is similar to the one Michael Fassbender has for them. They are married, doing a fishing trip around the whole world, to come back at the end to Genosha raising, teaching and carrying for a new generation of mutant kids.

For old Cherik: They are happily living together in the school, due to the utopia Wolverine created in Days of future past. Magneto is probably teaching the kids mechanics

And there are allready rumors that Marvel wants to recast them. If they will touch our happy Cherik ending with their rotten hands i will riot!

Stormpilot - Star Wars

Yeah i still use that name. Because i am on this boat since the beginning. It is a little bit damaged but still sailing so this is my happy ship.

I was never a big Star Wars fan but these two dudes made me fall in love with Star Wats because even before i realized i was queer i knew this ship was special and make history, in one way or another. And we did, didn’t we? We are now taken seriously. Shipping is not a “ugly” fangirl thing anymore but people start to realize taht it is also a scream for representation. But we still have to go a long way

I love that this kind of a “love at the first sight” thing (at least for Poe). And that they have an instead chemistry with eachother. I was sitting in TROS and smiling like an idiot everytime they were on screen and cried buckets when they were both single and together in the end. They treat eschother well and have a deep respect for eachother. There is no macho behavior just pure friendship with a lot of gay tension. Every scene with them in TROS was a blast. And i am sure Finn is now slowly realizing he is love with Poe as well. Poe gives Finn his ring. Finn finds out he is a long lost prince and learns jedi tricks. And then they marry. And adopt a lot of droids children!

They are my hope. And they will be my first tattoo.

Phrack (Phryne x Jack) - MFMM

One of the few straight ships i actively ship. They are so damn well written. There is nothing toxic about their relationship. And the slow burn tension is killing you slowly. How they care for eachother without Jack being Phrynes savior. And how Phyrne allways gets calm perfect Jack irritated is so cute.

Also the moments where Phyrne is teasing Jack or Jack calls Phryne “Phryne” instead of “Miss Fisher” like he normally does.  And that Jack is ready to learn how to accept gay people and working independent women through Phryne is beautiful.

No headcanons here. I just want to watch the upcoming movie “Miss Fisher and the crypt of tears” that explains what happenes directly after the season 3 finale.

Keyla x Joann - Star Trek Discovery

There is not too much to say about them. I just hope they will be canon. They didn’t had much screentime yet but everytime they are together it feels like they are dating since years. And Keyla is confirmed bisexual. I hope we will see them together in season 3. If not i will just keep on pretending that they got married at the end, adopted a lot of space kitten and live their best lives as speca wIw.

Also the are holding hands in that scene above, fight me!

Michael x Tilly - Star Trek Discovery

Nothing better then space wIw pairings.

I like how they deeply care for eachother and Tilly was ready to accept Michael even though she was an outcast. And Michael was ready to accept Tilly even though she normally can not deal with talkactive people.

Tilly helped Michael a lot to express her feelings  while Michael helped Tilly to fight for her dream as a Captain.

Also they canonly hold hands multiple times. They are so soft around eachother. I am so ready for season 3.

Sherlock x Joan x Marcus - Elementary

I actually ship them in every variation (because above all Johnlock) but here i make an expactation. The deep care they have for eachother. They had a few problems at the start but if someone feels bad now, both are ready to help that person. Joan is constantly checking on Marcus personal live, and lives with Sherlock anyway, while Sherlock constantly looks out for Joan and Marcus and looks that they find happines. And Marcus has thought multiple times about moving in with Sherlock and Joan.

While Sherlock doesn’t really liked to be touched both Joan and Marcus have iconic hug scenes with Sherlock. And after Joan and Sherlock find out that Marcus will move to a new job they both do everything they can so Marcus will be successful, The epsiode ends with Sherlock looking at Marcus for a really long time, smiling like a love sick dork, while he lefts with  “ It’s alright, it’s alright, it’s alright now, I’m fine with how it all went down “ playing the background.

I haven’t watched season 7 yet but with Marcus risking his career for both Joan and Sherlock i hope he will finally moves in with them.

It was midnight by ship’s time.

Work continued around the clock. Shields were again at full strength. Both internal and external comms remained inoperable forcing the crew to rely on runners and communicators. Tomorrow they would test the repaired spore drive. The warp and impulse engines had suffered the heaviest damage. Their restoration remained a couple of days away.

Michael had the bridge and would deal with anything urgent.

Sleep, which Saru once could summon at will, remained elusive. Another side effect of his Vahar'ai. In its stead the sequence of events played over and over in his mind, like an unwelcome song you cannot get out of your head. Owo reporting the passing meteor. Detmer adjusting course. The space rock bouncing off the shuttle’s shields and exploding, vaporizing everything in a wide radius including Keyla, Bonnie, and Jett.

Tilly has a serious and secret (so she believes) crush on Discovery’s temporary commander, Christopher Pike. Saru’s Vahar'ai has triggered his species version of puberty with Pike serving as a stand-in father figure. Pike has a second and secret mission on Discovery in addition to sorting out the mystery of the seven signals. Restless while Enterprise is docked for repairs, Una takes a vacation.

This is hurt/comfort story of dangers, heroics, rescues, awkward situations, getting to know your crewmates, friendship, dating, romance, and the trajectory of first love for a young girl as she finds her place in her chosen profession. As well as the stranded in a cave during a storm trope. Pike whump. And a shirtless Pike stripped to his underwear.

Summary: In the golden age of piracy, the crew of Discovery mutinies and seizes their own destiny. For Owosekun and Detmer, this includes being incredibly gay for each other. A little bit Jacky Faber, a little bit Black Sails, a little bit Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, a little bit Pirates of the Caribbean, a lot bit “I just want them to kiss!!” Elements of both seasons of Disco in a blender.

Thoughts on Discovery S3E4

I am so happy to see so much of Hugh. I always feel like he gets less of a spotlight than he should, he’s DELIGHTFUL and he deserves it after that bullshit they pulled with him back in Season 1. 

(Cut for spoilers beyond this point)

And his speech at the start of the episode was SPOT ON. That “Surviving can turn into living again” thing. Oof. I have BEEN there and I love to see it acknowledged. 

I also appreciate that Hugh has as snarky a bedside manner with Adira as he does with Paul (Seriously, they should just officially adopt them at this point CMON).

Also, are they just straight up gonna make him the ship’s counselor? I’m not 100% sure on how good an example it is if he’s just suddenly ship’s counselor with the requisite degree/training, but gosh, it was nice to see him in kind of a quasi-counselor role. It fits him very well.

I also continue to LOVE Adira. They have a good heart, and just the right amount of snarky teenage rebellion, and I really love that their relationships with Michael and Hugh are shaping up to be just and entertaining and heartwarming as their relationship with Paul.

Interesting to see the first appearance of Zora! It makes me a little taken aback, though. Does this mean Discovery gets abandoned like we saw in the Calypso Short Trek this season? If so, that’s kind of a bummer, given it implies that the Federation is going to revert to the Vdraysh again over X years. Then again, maybe that was just a temporary abandon ship by Saru and they come right back and they’ll retcon/”Clarify” that Zora was never abandoned for a thousand years and just has some internal clock inconsistencies from the time leap? It would kind of destroy the emotional core of Calypso a bit, but would at least tie up some bows and mean we keep the Discovery we know and love instead of getting a new ship just to satisfy the parameters of a 10 minute mini-ep that may or may not have been planned to coincide with the time jump storyline of s2/s3 in the first place. 

Regardless, I love Zora and I hope she gets a happy ending, dammit. And I hate the idea that her story might end abandoned in a nebula with Michael’s mission to reform the Federation ultimately doomed to failure and a reversion to some warlike V’draysh. And I can understand if they decide to give the crew a shiny new 29th century discovery but I LIKE the current ship :(

On the plus side, Saru seems to trust her as of the end of this ep, so I’m hopeful they’re “retcon”/clarify Calypso away from the “Discovery was abandoned for 1k+ years” thing that episode originally seemed to imply.

On the other end of that, Saru remains an awkward turtle duck, and I love him for that. I’m glad he listened to Zora’s advice, even if it didn't turn out well. This crew needs a COUNSELOR, ugh ;_;

Still, the follow up was nice, and that Tilly & Saru scene shows both why Saru is a good captain and why Tilly will be a good captain someday, if that’s how she chooses to go.

As far as Grey Tal goes.... I think it would hurt less if CBS/TPTB didn’t spend so much time hyping him up as the first trans character only to have him be DoA? It feels like Hugh all over again (and I’m still at least 60% sure they only resurrected him because of fan outcry). Like, these big corporations need to stop expecting props for queer rep if they only mean to kill said queer folk within a few episodes of their intro. And twist at the end aside, Grey was killed very quickly and unceremoniously, even moreso than Hugh, during a time when Trans people in particular still face premature death due to violence and murder and poverty at much higher rates than cishet people.

It also means we’re left wondering if Adira’s NB status is meant to be the result of Alien weirdness with their Trill symbiote instead of, you know, NB humans existing from the bout as far back as humans have been sapient.  Hell, As far as I can recall, their NB status still has yet to be spoken in canon, so we don’t know if their pronouns are she/they, just she, some other pronoun combo, and/or if they don’t even yet realize they’re NB at this point in the story

I dunno, I feel like we deserve better, as usual. Their love was so wonderful, and then Gray just dies? I don't know. It feels like GLAAD hyping this is just like GLAAD Hyping Assassin’s Creed Odyssey while ignore the compulsory het they put in the first DLC all over again.

As much as I love Discovery, it is REALLY hard to love the part where they have to give up so much pain and loss for our queer people, especially related to specifically being queer and in love with other queer people. We get enough of that pain and loss IRL.

I hope they can make something good of Grey and Adira’s story. Still. Can’t we just get some nice, safe, HAPPY queers for once? What is this obsession with making them all go through hell? Hugh died and left Stamets traumatized and we had to wait for a completely new season before Hugh came back with NO Guarantee he would and just some wishful thinking on the Mushroom magic, Jett lost her wife, and now Grey and Adira are repeating Hugh and Paul’s story. I suppose there’s a path for somehow bringing Grey back corporeally since he appears to somehow be a separate entity from Tal who can appear to Adira, but why do we have to go through the same song and dance with him we went through with Hugh? Can we just have one happy Queer couple that doesn’t get separated by death, temporarily or permanently?

I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker for the show for me, but I don’t blame anyone for whom it is, and at the least it’s just part of an exhausting pattern. 

Still, if I can disconnect from that for just a moment, I still love Adira a whole lot. I am glad they’re sticking around at least and I hope we continue to see them being affectionately snarky with Michael and Hugh and Paul for a long time to come, but I also hope the narrative is more open about their NB status and doesn’t fall back “it’s the symbiont,” damn it. And that final scene, in another world it would have been absolutely AMAZING just... good, solid queer love, two gay as hell kids being affectionate together. It would be SO GOOD if it wasn’t tainted by Discovery’s weird insistence on inserting death in every queer relationship.

I’m so glad Keyla is finally getting help. I’m really am. She deserves it (and cmon, I’m not saying TPTB owes us Joyla, but that look during the exercise part and that ‘lean against each other’ thing in the shuttle bay at the end were NOT straight).

Anyway, final word:

Trill stuff: Interesting and cool

Adira: The best

Queer stuff: STOP KILLING YOUR GAYS ITS TAINTING EVERYTHING AND I HATE IT but also I still smiled and teared up a bit at the queer affection.

B-Plot: Painful, but I appreciate the exploration of trauma and the steps toward healing

"Certainly is, now get up and eat. We don't want you passing out at the ceremony." She tells me

I do as I'm told and get myself breakfast in the kitchen of the apartment she, Michael Burnham and the rest of my bridal party are staying in with me. For today is the day I become Mrs Emma Pike.

My husband to be, Captain Christopher Pike is staying in separate rooms in the apartment block on the Starbase we're currently on.

Christopher is due to return to the USS Enterprise, having served his time on the USS Discovery and we have decided to get married before we go. I'll miss my friends on Discovery but a life without Christopher isn't worth thinking about.

After a decent breakfast, I shower, wash my hair thoroughly, before drying it slightly with a towel, put on my dressing gown and put myself in my bridal party's capable hands.

Tilly does my hair, Keyla my makeup and Joann and Michael help me with my dress and veil. By the time they're done I scarcely recognise myself.

"So what do you think?" Tilly asks as I admire myself in the mirror.

"I look incredible, thank you all so much," I tell them

"You're welcome, now if we're all ready it's time to go." Michael declares handing me my bouquet

I place my veil over my face and we all travel to the church together. As we do so I can't help but think about all Christopher and I have been through, and how this day is a new chapter for us.

Before I know it we've arrived at the church. The girls get out first, followed by me. At the entrance of the church, I meet Saru who is going to give me away. We don't say anything to each other, but smile at one another, before I take his arm, the doors open and I begin my walk down the aisle.

It's then I see him, standing at the altar. My Christopher Pike. My Captain. My husband to be. My future. The love of my life. He looks so dashingly handsome in his Starfleet uniform. More so than usual. He's joined by Sarek, the Vulcan ambassador who's kindly agreed to marry us, Spock (Michael's adopted half Vulcan/half human brother), Paul Staments (the engineering officer from Discovery) and Leland (an old friend of Christopher's). 

As I walk down the aisle all we see is each other, and I barely notice Saru handing me over to him.

In fact, I only come back to reality when Christopher leans down and whispers in my ear

"You look beautiful."

I smile up at him and blush

"Thanks, you look good too."

Sarek coughs slightly to get our attention

"Captain Pike, Emma if I may?" He prompts

"Of course, please proceed." Christopher turns his attention to him, as do I.

Sarek then begins the welcome

"We are gathered here today, in the sight of friends, family and Starfleet high command to witness the union of Captain Christopher Pike and Ensign Emma in holy matrimony."

Christopher squeezes my hand gently as we stand there. We've both waited a long time for this moment.

Sarek continues.

"Before I go on any further, I must ask you, do you both come here of your own free will, being of sound mind and body?"

"We do." The two of us reply in unison. 

"Very well then, does anyone here today know of any reason whatsoever as to why this couple may not be joined?"

There's silence before Sarek moves onto our wedding vows

"The couple will now exchange vows. For this occasion, they have chosen to write their own vows. Captain Pike, you may go first."

The two of us turn to face one another, and I gaze at my husband to be as he speaks

"Emma, you are without a doubt the woman of my dreams. I have never fallen in love with anyone, in quite the same way as I have with you. You're beautiful, you're kind, you're caring, you've stood by me and the crew when things got hard and I love you for that. I love you with every beat of my heart, every fibre of my being. So, from this day forward I take you as my wedded wife. I hereby swear to love you, to cherish you, to support you, encourage you and protect you from all harm."

His words are sincere and I can't help but be incredibly touched by them. I have to wipe away stray tears before taking my turn

"Christopher Pike. Where do I begin with you? You are everything I want and need in a man and in a husband. You're brave, kind, understanding, honourable, gentle, respectful and twice the person I could ever hope to be. You're the prince charming in my fairytale. Our fairytale. You're the knight in shining armour who saves me from danger. I can only hope that by being your wife I can become as good a person as you, and repay you for all you've done for me. But I promise you now that I will love you as you love me, I will always stand by you, I will be faithful to you and I will make you proud to call me your wife."

Christopher's blue eyes gleam with a mix of tears of joy and the love he has for me as I say these words.

With our vows exchanged, we then exchange rings. Spock hands mine to Christopher to give to me, whilst Tilly gives me Christopher's to give to him. They're silver bands with the words "Love is a promise" in them.

Again, Christopher goes first

"With this ring, I thee wed. With this ring, I give my life to you."

I then do the same

"With this ring, I thee wed. With this ring, I give my life to you."

The rings fit perfectly and as we continue to look at one another we know what's coming next.

Sarek turns to us both and asks us the immortal, timeless question

"Do you Captain Christopher Pike take this woman as your lawfully wedded wife. For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do you part?"

"I do"

Christopher answers without a moment's hesitation. Yet his answer causes my heart to skip a beat. In a good way. 

Sarek asks me the same question

"Do you Emma take Captain Christopher Pike to be your lawfully wedded husband? For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, 'til death do you part?"

I don't need to think about my response. Christopher Pike is all I will ever want and need in my life.

"I do"

My answer is clear and sincere.

Sarek smiles at us both. He addresses the congregation

"Captain Christopher Pike and Ensign Emma have sworn their lives to and declared their love for one another. It is my great honour then to pronounce them as husband and wife. Captain pike you may now kiss your bride."

Christopher lifts up my veil, places his hands on my cheeks and seals his lips to mine. I, of course, return the kiss, and although we've kissed many times before, this kiss feels more incredible. Because we are now husband and wife.

We eventually pull away for air to the rapturous applause of our congregation.

Our crew are beaming at us and I can see Tilly crying happily.

With the ceremony over, we walk back up the aisle to celebrate our marriage.
