keyla detmer describing HERSELF as macho adds such a hilarious level of characterization to her, like here’s this woman who looks like she shops exclusively at lululemon and makes space pinterest™️ moodboards in her spare time but she is now confirming something the audience has seen hints of throughout the show, which is that she has 100% hold my beer energy and is knowingly cocky as hell and cannot wait to do donuts in a starship again

I of course believe that detmer and owosekun are dating because I have brain cells but I always thought they were compatible bc of their similarities but now I’m seeing it’s absolutely a case of opposites attracting, owosekun is literally one of THE most competent and well composed members of the discovery crew and I just KNOW that 50% of her interactions with detmer are “wow I love her so much” and the other 50% is her talking detmer out of impulsively doing the dumbest shit imagineable
