Opinion on Charmy

He's fun! Not my favorite Sonic character but definitely up there. I love kid characters and I especially love it when kid characters act realistically for their age.

This answer's kinda short so I hope you don't mind if I add in some headcanons I feel strongly about.

he was found and "adopted" by vector when he was just a teeny tiny slimy grub, the mobian equivalent to a preemie so he spent several months in and out of the hospital and needed oxygen support until his lungs fully developed (mobian bees have lungs i've decided)

his name in the original knuckles chaotix seems to be a pretty straightforward description but in the modern versions it's 100% sarcastic. Said with love ofc.

has adhd and drinks chaos cola like water to focus

his favorite color is yellow bc his favorite flowers are sunflowers and dandelions and daisies :)

she's so cool and badass and she is underrated in a way that not many people understand. she's underrated as in, she's underused and even tho in many cases sega could have profited from her use, they never properly took full advantage of her potential, throwing it all away and making her a regulr side character along the rest of the sonic cast.

she's a kitty who grew up on her own, without friends, inheriting a kingdom and a set of Emeralds that she had to protect for some reason. I don't think she fully understands that reason to this day. only that she has to do it because it's part of who she is. just like knuckles, she's a guardian because she has to and not because she chooses to. just like sonic, she will strive to save her people and her world, putting herself through hell to achieve her goals. she's stubborn like the both of them. she's courageous and persistent. she's strong and noble. an enemy's mistake could be their last ;)

she controls fire! she would walk through fire for her friends! she doesn't understand friendship, not fully and she doesn't know why people actually like her, why people are not afraid of her powers. she doesn't know why sonic fought with her the day they met even tho he didn't want to. it's a question she still hasn't gotten an answer to.

I headcannon that Zor is really into mythology. Like to the point it’s a special interest. He has a bunch of random facts about different mythologies, both zetien and Mobium.

He is also convinced tails is some sort of mythological creature, maybe created by a sorcerer (he fits a shit load of myth descriptions, Zor has started a list). Everyone else thinks he’s over thinking things and don’t really believe him

Zor being into mythology seems really fitting for him. He's already dabbling in some kind of magic, it makes sense he'd have an interest in folklore as well. Maybe evencryptids as well?

Uh.. I guess my hottest take is that I don't really care too much about the game canon as a lot of people seem to do. As in, whatever is happening in the games is 100% what should be followed at all times.

I don't play a lot of the games anyway, I enjoy Sonic's supplemental material a lot more than the games more often than not. Not from lack of interest, I'm just not a very avid game player any more.

Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhh thank you for asking. Its a very difficult question for me. Design-wise its 100% Doodles. He has the best design I've ever made so far. In terms of character as a whole im really a big fan of Unum, Steno and Igneo. Their entire dynamic is very fun to develop and write even if it does make me scream in anguish a tiny bit

I remember hearing theory that the Jackle Squad wasn’t killed by Shadow, but instead by Eggman. I’m curious what you think of this?

that was my theory! or at least one that i also hold. the idea was that shadow injured them enough to send them home, and then eggman destroyed their camp behind infinite's back to eliminate ties to the outside world.

it's not quite as impactful, but it would be more in character for shadow.
