You know I see a lot of posts about how if Nathan got the help he needed he might not have done all the stuff but like…. That dude was DEEPLY fucked up lmao. Like I think people are kinda underestimating how fucked up Nathan was.

Jefferson might have pushed him- but the dude wasn’t exactly forced into helping him. He was persuaded, yes maybe even groomed, into participating but my sympathy of that fact ended when he never told anyone about Rachel. He knew Rachel was dead, he knew where she was, he knew that doing what they were doing could kill people and he did it AT LEAST two more times- once completely on his own!

I don’t know if Nathan would have actually been fine with help. Maybe he would have! But that dude was a ticking time bomb before Jefferson got a hold on him. To me it really does sound like he just influenced how he expressed it.

idk, had the weird feeling today at like 8pm like oh, should i have done something Fun for my last day of my 20s??? should i have done something stupid/childish just to say i did something wild on my last day of my 20s instead of going to work and making dinner and then going to the gym like a responsible grown up??

but then i thought no, i dont need to do anything crazy because im perfectly comfortable going into my 30s and im also perfectly comfortable with my life rn. i worked so hard in my 20s to get to the point where i have a job i Love in the field i studied so many years for, a cute little apartment and friends i can hang out with whenever

and then it just made me think of 19 year old me about to be 20 and how i don't at all remember what i did for my 20th birthday but i Do know i would've done it So extremely depressed because i was so mentally unwell at that age, holy shit

and while there are def some things about my life now that 19 year old me would be kinda disappointment in if she say my life today, they are all such not actually important things and only seem important to an actual child. even more important i know there are even more things 19 year old me would be amazed that i was doing/had done in the next decade and that just makes me feel good

anyways, every year i get older is another year i did not expect to see (not in an outwardly suicidal way, more in a anxious, 'i thought something would've just happened to me because life is weird and often violent or accidentally cruel' kinda way) so i do tend to look forward to every new year of my life :)
