birthday/age headcannons

for whatever reason, i wanted to share birthday headcannons for my ninjago au (including Hanna). and to go with them is the ages I have each character at the finale of Dragon's Rising Season 2.

i don't have any reason for placement of when someone's bday is, well. kinda? but it's not super major so uh yeah. if I have an explanation, i'll give it. if not, then i don't lol

also, some people have a "chronological" age AND a "physical" age. Chronological age is how many years they've been a living "being". Physical age is how many years old they are on a biological level, including but not limited too: Mental age, Emotional age, Body age, and Appeared age.

Hanna, Lloyd, and Zane, at least for the physical age, don't really matter since they either don't age or age REALLYYY slowly. yk, nindroid and oni/dragon/harmonizer genes and everything lmao.

also minor spoiler warning for Seabound and Dragon's Rising Season 2 obviously.

Kai's birthday is May 19th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Kai is 26 years old. - his b-day is in May bc it's a warmer month and because it includes lots of rainfall. the rain being a connection to his mother being the former elemental master of water.

Cole's birthday is August 25th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Cole is 28 years old. - he just give's August baby vibes. idk why - also, it's confirmed he's technically the oldest ninja, so, he's almost thirty. it is also my explanation as to why he lost against Frak, because he's getting older lol

Jay's birthday is April 5th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Jay is 25 years old. - April is a super stormy month, and what do storms include? lightning!! thus he was born in April.

Zane's birthday is December 10th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Zane is Chronologically 90 years old & Physically 27 years old. - pretty sure his birthday just makes sense. - as for his age, it's because he spent decades in the Never Realm as the ice emperor which impacted his chronological age. but, since he's a nindroid, it didn't impact his physical age.

Nya's birthday is October 20th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Nya is Chronologically 25 years old & Physically 23 years old. - don't ask why she was born in October. i just decided it. - as for why she has a chronological and physical age, it's because when she was merged in the sea, in my au, her birthday past twice making her chronologically 2 years older. but, because she didn't physically age since she was literally water, she remained the age she was before merging with the sea.

Lloyd's birthday is June 22nd. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Lloyd is Chronologically 21 years old & Physically 24 years old. - he's such a June baby. bundle of sunshine this boy. - in my au, he was 11 years old at the start of Child's Play. then, the tomorrow's tea made him become 14 years old.

Hanna's birthday is January 13th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Hanna is 23 years old. - January has some of the shortest days in a year, meaning the sky is black most of the time. plus, it's super snowy (or should be) making the ground white. - her hair is black and white. so. yeah.

Arin's birthday is March 3rd. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Arin is 15 years old. - younger brother energy. - also idk why i chose March i just did.

Sora's birthday is August 12th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Sora is 16 years old. - also gives August vibes. - she's so big sister.

Wyldfyer's birthday is July 7th. Dragon's Rising Season 2 finale, Wyldfyer is 15 years old. - elemental master of heat? bam. you are now born in July.

E.M. Forster's journal entries relating to Maurice in his "Locked Diary"

Apologies in advance—I only had about an hour in the library to skim through the entire source, "The Journals and Diaries of E.M. Forster vol 2", which contains every journal entry of Forster from 1910 to the late 1960's. I thus probably missed some mentions of Maurice. But surprisingly, there were much fewer Maurice entries than expected—and many are short and subtle.

6th December, 1913:

The first mention of Maurice: "my novel goes slower."

(Some context: the short story mentioned here is Forster's gay erotic story which "shocked" his mentor Dickinson—and caused a rift between them. Meredith is the real-life Clive Durham who read Maurice's writing in progress and was utterly repelled by the story.)

31st December, 1913:

The second mention is also the most important and iconic one: "Edward Carpenter! Edward Carpenter! Edward Carpenter!"

The entry is a part of Forster's 1913 end-of-year reflection. It shows Forster mentally struggling with whether to proceed with the novel. It's also confirmed that the day he formulated the love story in his mond during his visit to Edward Carpenter and George Merrill—the real-life Maurice and Alec—is 13th of September, 1913.

Also, the Greenwood here is not the same greenwood Maurice and Alec escape to. It's Leonard Greenwood, a close confidante of Forster who was very important in producing and preserving the first manuscript of Maurice, and who fell apart with Forster later.

June, 1914:

Completely my fault—I failed to capture the exact date and wider context, but I do remember it being a very brief mention of Maurice in the summer of 1914.

31st December, 1914:

Another end of year reflection. We see that Forster was able to mend his relationship with Dickinson who liked and approved Maurice. Also, we can guess of Meredith (H.O.M.)'s continuing aversion to the novel, Greenwood's relationship with Forster deteriorating, and Forster feeling indebted to Edward Carpenter (E.C.).

(The next and last entry about Maurice I found is from the '1950s... I might have missed some mentions. But it must be noted that Maurice was revised many times between 1914 and 1959. There was even a point in 1932 when Forster finalized a manuscript that had a much less satisfying ending between Maurice and Alec without the epilogue.

Forster's letters with his friends who've read Maurice do show us his own thoughts on the story's ending as well as what drove his revisions across decades. His diary, however, does not.)

31st December, 1952 and 1st January, 1953:

Context: in 1951/1952, Forster was encouraged by another gay novelist Christopher Isherwood to add more scenes between Maurice and Alec, and so Forster did, enthusiastically and very quickly—after many years of refusing Isherwood's requests to add more scenes (we don't know what Isherwood said to Forster to sway him). Hence, the hotel chapter after the British museum was manually added to the 1932 finalized manuscript—clipped in, actually. The "Maurice's end" mentioned here is probably not the hotel chapter, however, but likely Maurice's final farewell to Clive.

That's it. Though the novel wasn't completely finalized until 1959 when Forster managed to unite Maurice and Alec at the boathouse in explicit writing. Before then, their reunion was only implied, which is why the 1932 ending is a big let-down since it didn't have the monologue.

Lastly, some interesting diary entries from Forster:

Why was Forster drawn to lower class men? Carpenter explained himself.

2. Forster moving on from his first love Mohammed el Adl, a lower-class Egyptian who ended up marrying a woman and likely broke up with Forster on very bad terms. (Spoiler alert: Forster failed to move on... Plenty of mentions and entries about Mohammed later on.)

Context: the relationship between Mohammed and Forster is much like the one between Maurice and Alec—they probably had their own episodes about class struggles and "blackmail" in real life—except the happy ending.

3. Um... Did Forster and Bob have a lot of rough sex?

4. Lastly, some mentions of Edward Carpenter and George Merrill in his diaries after Forster became neighbor with them since they moved from Millthorpe to Guilford.

I like how George Merrill is described as "skittish". You'll know it's very characteristic of him if you've read Edward Carpenter's biography on George Merrill.

Context: Moh. refers to Mohammed. This was around 1922 after Mohammed left Forster and got married and then died. We can see that the end of their time together was rather unpleasant.

All about me and Pipes' Directory

Well, hello Tumblr in general and writeblr in particular! Had this account for a while (Branding is important), and with the return of my enter key I can actually format this stuff appropriately!

So heya! I'm Cecelia/ClearedPipes, I'm British and all of 23 years old! I use she/her pronouns, and am an employed individual (So may not be available 24/7).

I read the Hunger Games for the first time at 12, and have spent a hell of a long time since (from ~15) reading the fanfiction people produce! I started properly publishing it in June of 2024, and that's (not) all she wrote)! My AO3 and FFN accounts are both ClearedPipes, and how I got to that name is courtesy of a not so long story I've prepared to post on Friday, June 13th 2025 (my 1 year anniversary)I am also a District 1 (Hunger Games) enthusiast, so treat that as you will!

Outside of the Hunger Games, well. I'm soon to be engaged to a lovely woman, my favourite musical artists are too diverse to talk about in certainty (Amelie Farren, Nightwish and Ramin Djawadi being my 3 most listened artists speaks to this), and my favourite books are Angels and Demons, The Hunger Games (hope you'd expected this) and the ASOIAF set. Stannis Baratheon haters DNI (For legal reasons this is a joke).

In visual media, my favourite movies are The Rock (1996), National Treasure 1/2 and the first 4 Pirates of the Caribbean because 5 is... also there. My favourite shows are Game of Thrones, The X-Files, Doctor Who and Andor (Arcane is also up there)

I'd expect most of you are here for the writing, which I do way too much of. I've got a few active projects at the moment (Albeit have fully handled one of them and got it all predone), so that's fun! Posting dates for my big fics are every Friday (Alternating between LIAB and NBC), so that's when you can expect me to get handling things!

2024 January Media Post Thingy

i dont post on tumblr.com a whole lot i mostly just love to reblog but i wanna see if this novelty thing sticks because for like 2020-2022 i had like a text file i did that i stopped doing in 2023 or so for like video games in particular and i unno it was fun but i got distracted cus half that month i was doing retail anything special happen this year yet? not especially, but since soon ill be very busy with something that IS indeed special, and my bday, i may as well make a post now bc i feel like i will be preoccupied for the first good bit of febuary personally ( exciting life stuff ! ) last disclaimer is that at some point i would want to add movies and shows to this list when i get around to it , but for me december and january've kinda blended in that regard.. me and my friends watched Wonka recently and i was kinda so-so on that just cus' i think the original movies a certain way i guess. oops. i think there were other movies/ shows too and comics as well but once again, december-january blurr for me. Furthermore, any piece of media i pick out for this will also have a completely arbitrary doc-ism secondary title just because i feel like it. Enjoy! VIDEO GAMES! ! MARIO GALAXY 2 < SECOND ROUNDEST MARIO GAME >

I wanna say i spent from the first of january to the third on this game, but my Wii Menu calendar is a little fucked up....

Whoops! Regardless, i do have a bit of a background of not completely " gel-ing " with the original Mario Galaxy gameplay wise in my own friendgroup, to mostly dismayed reactions n junk. In short, i think artistically the game's merits are absolutely fantastic, but since i played it on the switch 3d mario collection some time after sunshine, i do think the control scheme is overall pretty limited, and that does apply to mario galaxy 2, i guess, but methodically, i think playing this game on a wiimote does make the limitation feel i guess more fair in terms of like camera control and deliberacy n stuff... the galaxy games and presentation are completely amazing works of art obviously and theres some good music here but i think between galaxy 1 and 2 i definitely prefer 2 mechanically. i enjoy the level scenarios more thats primarily it, i think. I'm so-and-so on how comets work and how many stars you need to get to get to the end ( I think how comets spawn is a little filler-ey and waiting for them to appear in a level i don't know it'll appear in was a little obtuse to figure out, even if i did eventually manage it and actually enjoy the challenges they offer. its mostly just really annoying comet spawning mechanics that were a drag. a very deliberately- controlling mario i guess and being more familiar with galaxy's control probably was why i was able to enjoy this one more ? Yay! I think i still enjoy 3d world more then this and most other 3D marios, though. It's a good video game and i liked the boss fights in it, theyre surprisingly cool and dynamic for what i'm used to from the mario series. I didn't do the special world, though. i wasn't compelled to go that far past the credits. ( You'd think this game's doc-ism title would come from it being the sequel to mario galaxy, and thus, second roundest, but honestly, i think in terms of the mario series scale, Mario Pinball Land has round mario in it, and galaxy 2's starship mario is definitely, i think, rounder then the comet observatory from galaxy one. That makes Mario Galaxy the third-roundest mario game! )

From around the 6th to the 13th, I ended up playing --- ACTRAISER RENAISSANCE < THE CEREAL-BOX GOD GAME >

actraiser is definitely a mixed video game for me, because i definitely see the merit in it. It's a very unconventional splicing of both sidescrolling and city-development game, a " remake " of a novel SNES/Famicom game with the same premise. You're like a big god of light guy who sends your soul into this little warrior guy who cleanses the land of monsters for around 6 different settlements to florish in with the assistance of a cute little angel friend and whatever area's flavor of local legend the game gives you after a story event or two to hold down the place from encroaching monster dens and such; and, apparently exclusive to this version, there's also little tower-defense segments that come in waves around four or five times per area, which in my opinion are kind of this game's weakest link, but not without like Some kind of merit. At the end of each town segment, there is also a big boss fight, usually tying into the story in some way.

( I think one of the things that genuinely pushed me to give the game a try was the cute angel design in it..... ) (I usually take an excessive number of screenshots whenever i'm playing on switch, just because doing so is very easy and i'm a sentimental freak ( For actraiser R, this is 148 screenshots ) ) ( If i continue doing this next month, i'll try to include the foresight to actually use my capture card for images, instead of taking pictures with my phone.. ) ( I think one of the things that genuinely pushed me to give the game a try was the cute angel design in it..... ) (I usually take an excessive number of screenshots whenever i'm playing on switch, just because doing so is very easy and i'm a sentimental freak ( For actraiser R, this is 148 screenshots ) ) ( If i continue doing this next month, i'll try to include the foresight to actually use my capture card for images, instead of taking pictures with my phone.. ) Some things i like that this game does, alot ---

i think it has a very very cool " world select " map. one very postive thing is that it updates in real time with your progress in the area, so you can watch it all expand from your little sky palace once you've done your buisness there. it's really satisfying and pretty... this game's got really good 2d art, i think. I've heard people be mixed on the sidescroller art in comparison, but i think it's got a charm to it. I think it's cute and while its probably more a budgetary limitation, i do like how everything kind of looks like one of those fantasy stills you can sometimes buy from arts and crafts stores. The framerate on them is like a bit lower then what you'd expect from a modern game but mechanically its still very responsive, which makes me feel like it's a stylistic choice to look more stop-motioney, i guess. Maybe im just a fan of ham, i unno.

In terms of the overhead segments, it's pretty basic and automated, which is fine by me, and perfectly workable for what it is, i think, conceptually ( they build out on your own but you do kind of " guide their hand " when it comes to where paths go, at least. It does lead to a weird meta thing being to zap your own people with holy lightning to destroy stuff you don't want though, which feels flavorfully odd for a benevolent god.... I guess it's fair enough

the main problem with the game is that the tower defense segments, the main major feature and addition of this remake, does kind of take the game's pacing and drop flat in the middle of it. They're usually decently long segments where you can only indirectly fight, and are kind of slow. They also usually need you to protect or have a certain number of buildings left by the end of it ( having all of your farms in tact by the end, defending the main temple, not having every house burned down ) which can be a bit more difficult then it sounds. i dont think the segments are bad or anything, there's just.... entirely too many of them??? like mechanically theyre fine they just happen every other second between story events and it feels kind of padded after like the second one in one area, and there's about 5 per area of increasing difficulty. i definitely think if anything could be reined back, it'd be that. I don't think the story is too special , either, the angel kind of just quips sassily about the story at you from time to time and your followers make requests of you at the temple, usually manifesting in the town segements as " have x number of y " or getting the population to a set threshold, or getting x number of resources. The structure of each area isn't shaken up too much, mostly just " new settlement, find a guy, guy isnt so sure about this lord of light guy but through fighting alongside u and some small character arch, they become a champion of yours or something and you meet the scary boss guy and kill them and weaken the big bad dark lords forces behind it all, but there were two segments i liked, both pretty late-game, with the ice wyvern and this guy named shemall whose only affront to you is having a more popular humanitarian ideology ( who actually becomes the dominant ideology in the segment leaving the church literally empty for a good portion of it , and is only tied into the status quo by the dark lord himself possessing the other temple and shit and starting a really really bad storm of eeevil , who i like a bit ) and a boss in the last area who was implied to once be a force of good but ultimately subservient to the bad guys will, which is basic but i tihnk neat. also they have cool designs. )

Shrug! I think it's neat but it has problems that bog it down! Waah! i dont regret playing it or anything but it's like a 7! ( It's kind of like a game you'd get in one of those cereal boxes, and it's a little cheap, but its endearing to me ? ) TOREE 3D < LEAST-CONSEQUENCIAL SPOILER AWARD >

finished this game the same day i finished actraiser, in one sitting. Ummm... i know this game's like a crowd favorite, and it's, like, solid, but i don't really have all that much to say about it ..... Like, it's an OK platformer, with like really great value for your dollar, but i don't really have all that much to say about it, endearment-wise. I think also that the VHS horror elements are largely unnecessary and are kind of whatever, but I know i'm not really the audience for it. That's the spoiler, i guess. Around the same time, in a date range I don't remember, I basically ended up completely reorganizing my room for Life Stuff, and ended up giving a really cool fan project a try, from a series i've always wanted to try more of, if not for the language barrier, in the form of -- STARFY ORIGINS ( Densetsu no Stafy ) < SPLASHABLE VIDEO GAME >

Waaaaaaaa ! i love starfy ( Stafy? ) You probably wouldn't have the background on it unless you knew me, but i'm a real DS head, and one of my earliest games on the system, one i have vivid memories with, was The Legendary Starfy, an " underwater platformer ", mostly known as being a kirby-like game in style, and being the last entry in a mostly untranslated series of platformers that're japanese-exclusive!

Essentially, what this means for me was that there was , for a very long portion of my kid-years, a bunch of video games out there that i knew i'd be instantly endeared by if ONLY i could play them ( since, even at the time, gba emulation for me was kind of mystical and out of my ability ) ; and , at least in my mind, that meant it'd have just as many lovable characters and such as the the starfy I got to play, anecdotaly meaning the only exposure i'd have to these games beforehand is ferverously looking up stuff on the starfy wiki and watching youtube videos of the final bosses and stuff; basically just lementing for years that " aww,, theres no translation. i guess it's just too obscure " with the rest of the starfy fans i've heard about online, until recently! I emulated this game on Vita and overall i'd just have to say its a cute, decently-novel-but-slightly-padded 2d sidescroller. I'd say it was like ok-levels of worth the wait, but im honestly just floored that a translation of the first game happened at all, and i think its awesome what's been done. It's selfish to want, but i'd really like to try the other DS starfy game sometime, whenever that's translated. It's honestly one of the few loose-end games i can even think of and mechanically that one's a whole lot more out there then this one, which, other then the novelty of playing this game i've only heard murmurs of for over a decade, is just kind of alright. kudos to the fan translators making this game work out!!! I wonder if the team that did this have plans for the others now that this game's been translated....

Cool bullethell shmup with really tight gameplay my friend endeared me to with a single screenshot and a slightly empassioned ramble i forget the exact context of

idk i think this green girl is neat and the arcade style bullethell gameplay's really fun on steam deck; i just think the girls should be like 7 years older each then what the game says because the loli aspects of this game are kind of uncomfortable and unavoidable and i don't like them at all... the gothic horror halloween aestetic the game has otherwise absolutely rocks and is just up my alley, though. i guess its just part of the style theyre going for, but it's a really unfortunate Japanese quirk you kind of have to just tolerate for the other Very Good aspects the game has gameplay and artisticly wise ( music and art direction is awesome )

Another game my friend reccomended whicch is completely awwesome and my entire aestetic and i love it alot and i think its my game of the year unless something else comes around and im absolutely floored with it and i went into it completely endeared and its completely wrecked my vernacular and its so pretty and its so artistic and its so different and its so pretty and its so girl and its so gay and im Elise and im in the woods i like being in the woods this game has the best aestetic of any game ive played ever and it feels like no competition and ummmmmmmmmmm

idk just fucking look at it its so so so so good i love this games world so sooso osososoos s oso ososo o os so mcuh its so good it so nice its so charactered genuinely great little slice of life slash horror slash social sim game with admittedly some jank portions of it that piss me off a little bit but holy fucking shit this games aestetic is the best besy best best bersy tbest best thing ever made i think its really really good pelease watch this segment on youtube its so silly

im not gonna type anything else this game Is its narrative and i dont wanna spoil anything but its great its got a lovely dark fable aestetic and i think everyone should play it especially if you like rpg maker horror type games / are gay as hell / love fairytale aestetics like I do

i like ummmm Lebkuchen by the way. if u wanna know what my ending is. there is some fucked up shit that happens in this game though despite how absolutely adorable it looks. everything in this game points to it being one of my favorites of all time or at the very least it will definitely poison my brain forever at the expense of my friends who havent played it yet. Waaah..... no i dont think talking about a fanmade pokemon rom hack after arguably a massive artistic achievement is disrespectful thats just how the month flows POKEMON ROWE < I broke it, oops... >

really cool open-world emerald rom hack, similar to crystal clear and the like. I've technically played it already, but this is the first time i've completed it, though i completely broke the game really early into it that undermined it in a way i didnt realize for about 7 gyms, before i accidentally nuked the overworld with a massive bug that scrambled my player's gender and made the overworld color pallete fuck-ey, which, im not ggoing tto blame the developer on, i'm summing that up to a cosmic ray or something. i think with time and with more polish i could see myself liking this more then crystal clear, but time'll see. ( Team was as below )

MIGHTY GUNVOLT < tie in video game i've ever played >

typing this like an hour ins making me realize this docism thing might not stick but mighty gunvolt is neat i guess i never finished it when i first played gunvolt and obsessed over that when it was new ( Mighty gunvolt came as a free download if you bought the first game digitally, you see ) because of the first boss, but now as a more experienced gamer, that's really just because the fire boss is kind of just a weird difficulty spike at the start that the rest of the game difficulty wise doesnt really match up to. It's a cute, very short ( i beat all 3 character campaigns in two hours , liesurely ) platformer styled like megaman, and that's all it really needed to be at the time. i wouldnt go out of my way to play it these days if it wasnt for my own baggage with the gunvolt series in general, and if it wasnt for my much greater affection for its sequel, mighty gunvolt burst.... I'm just gonna say if this game interests you , you really should just play burst instead. Even if you've played the latter before, you're really not missing out on much more then a moderately ok side scroller. it sure is a tie in demake on the early 3ds ! 6180 THE MOON

Surprisingly, this game's on alot of platforms? I just kind of chose it on a whim 'cus it was on the top of the list of H-SHOP stuff and i was looking for something short to play, but it's pretty artsy.

It's a puzzle-platformer where the gimick is that the ball wraps around the screen when you fall down or up, which works really well with the 3ds in my opinion. with the compression and stuff on the 3ds and how the game was laid out, it affectionately reminds me of a flash game you'd find on coolmath or the such, and its very relaxed ( if a little wonky ) . i dont have anything bad to say on it or anything its just a small little game i played on a whim. it's very minimalistic, if you're into that aestetic, you might like this. That's the last of the wholy " new " stuff i finished this month, and id say overall its a solid start for me, and kind of out of season ( very octobery-feeling game lineup in retrospect..! But that month's always usually crowded with obligations and stuff, so i doubt i'd be in a mood for them even at that time of year.. )

Also, i gave a try to cavestory on wiiware, first time i've played the game in a few years now since the switch rerelease! I think its just as fun as i found it when i first discovered it on 3ds, and, while i have a friend who adamantly disagrees, i actually really do like the OST of this version. It's a cute mutation on the games ost that in my opinion enhances the kind of forelorn vibe the game originally had, and i really like the blown up art of this version of cave story, even if it does have nichalis's hands all up in the matter. since it's unlocked from the start, i played the game on Curly Story till the true ending. I still love this game alot. Sometime i'll trick a certain individual into finishing it, i hope.

That's all i have to say! this is the first time i've made such a big post on any kind of social media period, so, hopefully its not unreadably disjointed or self-absorbed. Whatever!

Can you refresh my memory and tell me if Kamoshida's palace event was splitted in two parts? Because they could do that with Maruki's and so give us both Crow and Violet.

And like. If they dont give us black mask Akechi in a *gacha* it means they hate money.

Also more delulu take but I think the Maruki's palace event will be relased on march, thus finishing the crossover events with P5 a little before the game turns 1 year old. And kickstarting either crossover with Reload or Golden. Thus giving us at least 2 more years of crossover content. And maybe if p6 is really relased in 2025, they might even do a crossover with that once they finish the modern trilogy (im not sure if they will touch p1 and p2 till those get a remake)

The Castle Chapter was not split into two parts; so far every Palace has gotten one single event that covered that chapter completely. Even when two chapters are connected by the story, they've still been (at least mostly) separate events! The Museum and Bank chapters shared some features, but the chapters themselves were still separate. I thought this was relatively clear with how I've organized the summary posts, but let me know if there's a way I can make that more obvious!

If we do the math, it's possible that the Royal collab could take much longer than you're suggesting, unfortunately. Assuming they continue the same schedule, the updates in the future should look like this:

The summer event was also a set of event updates, if you recall, and we're set to get our next three event updates right around December and the start of next year! That seems like prime time to have another event, to me. And the next event update falls right around Valentine's Day, which we know we're getting some kind of event for! I'm not sure if both of these updates will be for holidays instead of the collab, or if they might celebrate the holidays in some other way (the 6-month anniversary just gave rewards), but I think it's worth considering both the best and worst-case scenarios here.

Best-case scenario, like you implied, we get the last part of the original collab in the event updates from December 5th to January 2nd, adding Crow and wrapping up that collab. Then, the Royal collab only lasts one event update, from February 13th to March 13th, adding both Violet and Black Mask.

Two other possible scenarios I can imagine, however:

1) The December 5th to January 2nd update is a holiday event, and then the February 13th to March 13th update is the Valentine's Day event, meaning the original collab doesn't end until the April 24th to May 22nd event update, and then they add Royal in the July 10th to August 7th update after.

2) They stick to an alternating schedule for collab events vs. other events, so the December 5th to January 2nd update is a holiday event, then the February 13th to March 13th update is a collab event update. The April 24th to My 22nd update is another holiday/other event, and we get Royal in the July 10th to August 7th update.

It also feels possible they could push the Royal event out even further, for any number of reasons, but I don't think we'll know for sure until they announce some future update plans, heh. But these all feel reasonably possible to me.

Definitely, though, I agree there's plenty of things left for them to cross over with, heh! If the first three Persona games ever get remakes, I'd absolutely love to have collabs with them as well, but given the book with the SMT: If... reference, I do have this small (probably unrealistic) glimmer of hope that they might consider collabs with them even if remakes aren't announced any time soon, especially if they've finished collabs with the other modern Persona games by that point. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Descendants Headcanons/Wickedverse Guide

Some of these aren't so much "headcanons" as things I'm using in my post-canon universe, named the Wickedverse. Me and my sister share this universe, so she has a lot of influence with some of these. Will get updated as I add/change ideas.

Lore

Centuries before Auradon was formed, there was a great war between the kingdoms. After years of fighting, they made an agreement on territory and everyone closed their borders. This lead to kingdoms/cities to develop at different rates, due to different resources. Many years later, all the fairytales/stories happen over the course of seven years or so. Then, Auradon is formed.

The formation of Auradon (and the Isle) created the Age of Goodness (AOG). Upon it's creation, was year 1.

Since Descendants takes place twenty years after the AOG, it is year twenty

The first Isle book takes place in the July before Descendants. Descendants occurs in September-October (as Ben's birthday is in October), and Wicked World happens in November. The second and third Isle books take place in January of year 21. Since D2 takes place six months after D1 it occurs in March of 21. The fourth Isle book takes place in May of 22. D3, taking place after the older have graduated, occurs in June of year 22.

Some other Disney properties are included that aren't specifically mention in canon: Frozen, Frozen II, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (TV series), Encanto, Big Hero 6, Raya, and definitely more.

Mal and Ben's wedding is on the 13th of April, almost a year after D3.

Sometime after D3, the Isle of the Lost is renamed the Isle of the Found.

Family

Uma and Freddie are twin sisters, having been separated after Dr. Facilier and Ursula broke up. Freddie and Uma were unaware of this, and found out in the events of Never Knew I Lost You (coming soon).

In addition, Celia has a different mother, an OC named Lauren.

This is also why Facilier seemed to dislike Freddie (though, her abuse portrayed in the Wickedverse is probably worse than it is in canon), as he dislikes her mother. Whereas he favored Celia, since he likes her mother. Also why Ursula didn't care much about Uma, having become despondent after losing her partner and daughter.

King Philip has three sisters, Brigitte, Bianca, and Marya, taken from the book A Twisted Tale: Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell. Bianca is Ariana's mother and Marya has a daughter named Naomi.

Lumiere is married to Fairy Godmother, and is Jane's father.

Evie and Dizzy have the same father, Hans, making them half-sisters.

Doug's mother, named Clarita in this universe, is from Encanto. Agustin is her maternal uncle, making him Doug's great uncle.

Jay's mother was a woman from Agrabah named Lulu. She dealt in some shady business, thus why she was sent to the Isle. She died from an illness when Jay was five.

The sea witches mentioned in the first Isle book are Morgana's daughter, and Uma's cousins, instead of sisters.

Hadie's mother is an OC named Lian Teng. She is the sister of one of the Huns that survived the avalanche. He was all she had, so she followed him to the Isle. She worked in Hades's Souvlaki and her and Hades had a brief relationship a while after his break up with Maleficent. Hadie is three years younger than Mal.

Harriet, Harry, and CJ's mother is a woman named Red Jessica from Jake and the Neverland Pirates TV series. However, she is only the same character; her role and relationship with Hook is different in the Wickedverse than the cartoon.

Carlos's father is Bruno Madrigal from Encanto (inspired by @silverloreley 's headcanon and discussions). Bruno had a bad vision about Cruella and went to warn her about it. They had an unexpected connection, and one thing led to another.

Melody (from the Little Mermaid sequel) and Zephyr (from the Hunchback of Notre Dame sequel) are married and have a (currently unamed) child.

Friendships

Prior to the events of Wicked World, and possibly D1, Jordan and Ally become best friends after Jordan helps Ally out of a bad relationship.

Jane and Freddie become best friends during the events of Wicked World.

Likewise, Uma and Audrey become best friends sometime after the events of Descendants 3.

Because of the discovery of Uma and Freddie being twins, they start spending time together. To not leave Jane and Audrey out, the four of them hang out together often, forming a friend group similar to the Core Four.

A few months before the Bal wedding, Lonnie and CJ meet and become best friends.

Characters

As a reason for why Carlos was not at Mal and Ben's wedding (and why the rest of the Core Four were sad about it), he develops COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and goes into a coma a couple weeks before the wedding. He wakes up a few weeks afterwards.

Some last name headcanons:

Dwarf last names are from gems and the Seven Dwarves' last name is Lazuli, from lapis lazuli. This makes Doug's full name Doug Lazuli.

Maleficent and Mal's last name is Dragonheart, making Mal's full name Maleficent "Mal" Bertha Dragonheart.

Ben's last name is Leroi, meaning "the king" in French (taken from @hitchell-mope)

Evie's last name is Grimhilde, mostly taken from the fandom.

Jane's last name is Faery, and Fairy Godmother's real name is Joan.

Audrey gives up her birthright to rule Auroria, deciding that isn't the path for her. Naomi will rule Auroria instead. (Which was also what they were planning to do when they thought Audrey would be queen of Auradon).

Uma becomes leader of the Isle after D3, with Harry, Gil, and her crew acting as her advisors/council/soldiers.

OCs

Varian and Cassandra (from the Tangles series) are married and have two kids, Caelan and Valeria.

Anna and Kristoff are married and two sons, Alaric and Kade.

Raya has a son named River.

Maleficent has a younger brother named Kaveh, who comes to Auradon a few years after D3 to help stop a new threat. He previously lived in the Moorlands, the ancestral home of dark fairies and Maleficent's homeland.

Ally has a (currently unnamed) older brother.

Snow White and Prince Florian have a (currently unnamed) child.

Scar (who was turned into a human before being put on the Isle) has a daughter named Safiya.

Mirabel is married to a man named Rico and they have two kids, Anabel and Matteo. Others from Encanto also have kids, but most are currently unnamed.

What is wrong with that?

1)"Not everyone's flavour of ice cream." Yeah! Definitely not Lithuanians'. Yk why?

This lady's name is Loreta Asanavičiute, she liked to sing in the folklore ensemble, she was an accountant, and she was killed on January 13th, 1991, in Vilnius. She was 23 years old. Defending the independence of Lithuania, together with other citizens of Vilnius, she stood guard at the Television Tower, protecting it from capture. Being run over by the tracks of a russian tank, she died in the Red Cross Hospital from her injuries, which caused slow, continuous bleeding.

I wonder if the artist mentioned above would have guts to show this art to the parents of this girl? Many people, whose loved ones were killed by russians, are still alive and in their mind, surprise-surprise! My professor had to suture the lungs of one guy, who also was heavily injured that day by russians. Op, would you have guts to come to Lithuania and show this art to Lithuanians, to my professor, for example? I don't think so. People like op really don't think about minor stuff like other people's mass murders by russia... or they're just cowards.

2)Drawing drunk Lithuania hugging russia... Op, I know you're from Brazil, so I won't demand a lot of knowledge about the history of Europe from you - but you still should know that one of favourite russian tactics towards the occupied lands is to make locals drunk. They imported simply gigantic quantities of vodka to get people drunk, so that they would become stupid and controllable. It was like this for CENTURIES, so many old families and clans in Eastern Europe have even stricter laws about alcohol consumption than in Shariat. Alcoholism in Eastern Europe is not a "fancy funny gopnik feature" - it's a huge historical tragedy, it's just less popular than Holodomor and Holocaust because the consequences weren't sudden. Seriously, if you drew Muslim people as pigs, it would be less offensive.

3)Lithuanians really don't like Belarus, for a lot of reasons. And when people try to sew Lithuania and Belarus together, the more they popularise idea of "Lithuania being in love with Belarus" - the angrier it makes Lithuanians, thus, causing them discriminating Belaruthians even more, thus, making Belaruthians (a LOT of whom lives in Lithuania) feel really unsafe. PLEASE don't make our lives miserable.

In conclusion: you like a problematic ship and you know that it can harm real people? Create your own private Tumblr community! It is possible! It is free! Or just find an already existing one - and DON'T post publicly Lithuania/russia, especially tagging these countries. Because countries are very much real. I wish I was Brazilian, so I wouldn't have to care about being suddenly raped and murdered by russians.

Improve your taste and knowledge, op, and have a long and boring life.

Puget Sound Socialist Rifle Association Statement on Washington State bills 1180 and 1240. (These bills are so-called “Assault Weapons Bans.”)

We sent a member to a public comment session on these bills but unfortunately they did not get a chance to speak. What follows is the statement we had prepared.

“The right to self-defense is a natural right, intuitive and "self-evident" to all rational beings. It is formalized in our state constitution (Art. 1 Sec. 24) and codified in our state laws (RCW 9A.16.20 Sec. 3). The incidence of hate crimes is increasing in Washington and elsewhere; victims of these crimes, primarily members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, should not be hindered in their ability to exercise the right to self-defense.

In fact, the rhetoric around our trans citizens has become so toxic that none of our many trans members felt comfortable sharing their name and face in a space where many of the speakers today and at least one representative on this committee seek to deny them a peaceful existence. One member did provide a statement and I would like to share her words with you now.

‘I am a transgender woman living in a country that appears to be descending into a transphobic fever dream. I am a gun owner. It appears that the two-party system is now a choice between a party of predominant gun owners that wants my community dead and a party that wants to prevent my community from effectively defending itself. In recent years, my community has experienced a rise in hate towards us and thus we have participated in a rise in self-defense training and gun ownership. We are supposed to have a right to self-defense according to the Washington constitution and a right to own firearms according to the U.S. constitution. Arbitrary and restrictive laws on gun ownership violate those principles. In the absence of effective firearms, I do not trust the police to defend us in the case of a dire emergency or even in day-to day life. I have been threatened, sneered at, and physically hurt by police in Washington State. Two SPD officers participated in the storming of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. More Americans were killed by police in 2022 than any previous year on record. So why is it that the police deserve to carry AR-15 rifles and I do not? Is my life less precious than theirs? I do not believe so.’

Now, the rationale of those supporting this bill and likely the thoughts of some committee members right now is that it is law enforcement's job to intervene in such instances. That is a fatally flawed assumption.

Federal courts up to and including the supreme court have ruled repeatedly that the police have no constitutional duty to protect citizens who are not in custody, (DeShaney vs. Winnebago, 1989[3]; Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales, 2004 [4]), and if you're a homicide victim, there's a 1 in 3 chance that police won't even identify a suspect[6], and as of 2020, about a 50% chance that your murderer will be convicted[7]. We're left to conclude that we must keep ourselves safe.

This bill claims this is a public health emergency but in 2022 in WA more people were killed by police than in mass shootings and despite being 13th in gun sales nationwide, WA was 39th in gun violence in 2022.The FBI notes that in 2019, about 2.5% of all murders were committed with rifles of any kind, less than 1/4 of what was committed with knives [8].

However, attempting to reduce gun violence is a worthwhile endeavor. Over the course of decades, study after study have concluded that the greatest indicator for violent crime and gun violence is economic circumstance. Poverty. This bill does not attempt to address the cause of gun violence. It is merely a misguided and ultimately ineffective attempt to address a symptom.

Passage of this bill would merely be a pyrrhic victory for democrats. Doing nothing to address the cause or symptoms of violent crime while providing ammunition for conservatives to campaign against vulnerable seats locally and nationwide. It would force more citizens to rely on ineffective and untrustworthy law enforcement while ignoring the scary but undeniable fact that ultimately, we keep us safe.”

Wednesday's Zodiac Sign is Libra!

Investigating post...

Establishing show timeline:

1. Claim: the Year is 2022

Proof: Weems! The first Poe Cup took place in 1897 and the current one is the 125th...thus, 2022.

Now lets narrow that year down to at least a season. I say Fall!

2. Claim: The Show runs from somewhere September-ish to about late-November/Early December.

Supporting clues:

School is already in session in the first episode. Could be anywhere from first school day to several.

Undetermined time later we learn that Nevermore doesn't usually accept students mid-term implying that it's not definitely not between terms or end of school year.

Wednesday tries to escape during the Harvest Festival which is typically a Fall event.

Weather: everyone is running around in light clothes and leaves are bright green in the first two episodes, going steadily browner and yellower. SNOW in the last episode. Which means that Season 1 definitely ran before the Winter and ended with an early Winter break.

Number of full moons in show: 3

Episode 1: Why aren't you wolfing out? My guess is that this was the September full moon around mid-month because school was already in session.

Then we know that no more than a week passed between Episode 4 and 5 because in E4 Wednesday sneaks into the coroners office just before his last day (and Thing sticks bubblegum on the camera) and in E5 Reggie the coroner dies...and the Sheriff claims he saw him last week.

Episode 6: Wednesday's birthday episode and the Gates Mansion incident.

My guess is these things all happen in October because we haven't had a full moon episode since the first and the few time flags we do have indicate that only a couple of weeks could have passed since Ep1.

Episode 8: Full bloodmoon. Enid Finally wolfs out.

Logically since the Gates Mansion full moon wasn't a blood moon an entire month must have passed between Ep6 and 8 making this somewhere around November which matches the weather signals.

3. Claim: Wednesday could only have been born on 13th October 2006.

Now this is just math. We know from Episode 6 that she's turning 16.

So that means she was born in 2006.

It's standard Addams Family lore that Wednesday was born on Friday the 13th.

And 2006 only had two Friday the 13ths: January and October.

And since we established that the show runs during the Fall semester...

Wednesday could only have been born in October - which is right on brand for her anyway because it's also the month of Halloween! YAS!

REDEMPTION

Os Ferventis Prison ⤬ January 13th 12AM 1706.

BOILING MOUTH, a prison with a reputation to house lunatics, murderers and the scum of the earth. Savery is a form of survival beyond this impossible prison that stands tall like a tower - located near the fortress of Solaro. To dream of death is mercy to those shackled like animals for slaughter in this madman’s house. Here you’re chained by the throat to suffer silence as you bide your time in the despair of awaiting to be offered a measly plot in a nameless graveyard. Surrounded by the ocean on all sides, it is a sentence murmured for the damned - pray to all the Gods and perhaps they shall grant you a painful and restful demise.

But tonight is a night like no other.

Solaro shines in its glory as it celebrates its Emperor’s birth. Crowned and hailed as the almighty and great Emperor Antiochus II, the country and its many citizens are expected to hold extravagant festivities offered in gold, pearls, land and people. And thus, the ornate revelry of the kingdom has set the stage for an impossible mission that has never been achieved before. A dangerous idea set in motion by one arrogant man. Painstakingly, GOD KILLER has spent the last several years orchestrating an intricate plan into motion. The beginning is now, and from the shadows he shall step to launch forward in the Great Pirate Race. With or without birthright, it’s time to make his own mark.

Yet despite the chaos that follows and the unraveling of events from the outside, the Captain who’s set forth all in motion remains missing.

Instead, he’s sent a message - one for each squadron; carefully selected and chosen to join him on the race for the hunt of GOD. Each and every one invited for select criteria; that being - degenerate filth with the appetite for violence and crimes, each being worse than the next. And yet there’s pride in his decision, one that feels like the start of cementing a myth itself. Freedom lies beyond the horizon, this is the first trial that stands in this crew’s path. Paradise is impossible if you haven’t tasted Hell.

Machinations set into motion - the Marines have set their focus elsewhere for this evening, some choosing to succumb to all the sins offered to man. And through careful persuasion of twisted mouths; blood between the knuckles and a blade plunged through tender skin - each and every one has assembled. And yet, they stand amongst their enemies in perplexation as a note is left, messily scrawled in words that appear akin to chicken scratchings.

A note marked with AT, a scribble of what appears to be a knife and a skull in the corner.

If you’re reading this, I’m already long fucking gone. But, this isn’t to say that I’ve abandoned you from the proposition I’ve made. Rather, I’ve provided an opportunity for each and every single one of you to join me on my journey to capturing GENESIS. Your first trial lies ahead. You don’t have much time so unless you’d prefer to rot to your death, I’d hurry the fuck up. Also, it's up to you to remove the collars on your neck, if you don’t it’ll detonate the moment you step off this prison.

The group reads the note to their annoyance as they stand amongst each other. CROOKED HOUND pries the piece of paper off the wall, they flip it over to study the back, “I believe it’s for the best we work together to make it out alive.” FLOWER OF ICE seemingly nods her head but her eyes flitter to MASTER OF DEATH in utmost distraction - a person of interest who was finally standing before her. MOON BLADE parts her mouth, “I think that’s a brilliant idea brother,” a feigned innocence in her voice as she licks the corner of her lips, a dig just for him. BLOOD THIEF ignores the others and is the first to navigate in another direction. From a distance, the sound of footsteps and quiet murmurs could be heard from the approaching guards.

There is no other choice but to move onward, the collective group making their way to an iron door. And it’s with the strength of FLOWER OF ICE that unlatches it, making way for them.

Pitter patter.

It continues to drip.

A gurgle of sound echoes from beneath the ground. “Oh no …” MOON BLADE is first to notice.

There’s nothing quite like walking through filth and being knee high in the putrid stench of contaminated water in combination with excessive waste disposal.

[ 𝐔𝐍𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 ] MADAME MASSACRE, DEMON EATER, QUEEN OF PLAGUE, KING OF DROUGHT, CURSED SOLDIER, RAZOR FIST.

The hostility is thick in the air as there is indisputable tension lingering between all parties. CURSED SOLDIER is the first to speak, “there’s something on the back of this.”

“Well tell us what the hell it is,” QUEEN OF PLAGUE hisses the words with lethality. The others glance at the paper, there are two drawings, both which appear entirely unfamiliar to all. “It’s a series of arrows,” DEMON EATER pieces together, “and a fucking symbol,” MADAME MASSACRE finishes. “Let’s fucking go then, I’m planning to make it out alive,” RAZOR FIST announces as he sprints off first. KING OF DROUGHT follows quietly after but his steps are paced more carefully as he looks toward the signs on the wall and the paper.

It isn’t long before they arrive at a twelve foot door, made of steel, intricate carvings marked on all parts. DEMON EATER lifts up the paper - the symbol matching perfectly. Now lies the problem of opening the gateway to whatever hell lies beyond. “Fuck, do you think we can run through that?”

“Unless you want to die,” says KING OF DROUGHT to RAZOR FIST.

“Let’s look around, there’s got to be a way in.” DEMON EATER interrupts.

[ 𝐌𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐃 ]

[ 𝐔𝐍𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 ] SAINT GUILLOTINE, CHILD OF FLAMES, LITTLE MISS RED, BELLS OF HELL, SUNKEN WITCH, ANGEL OF TERROR.

LITTLE MISS RED flips over the note this time - the words are written in a language she doesn’t quite understand. The others stare at the words in equal confusion, some blatantly more lost than others. “I can’t read,” SAINT GUILLOTINE confesses. ANGEL OF TERROR eyes the other, making no verbal comment but the expression that lingers on his face is enough to reveal his feelings.

“We should fucking burn it,” CHILD OF FLAMES declares, pyromancy apparently the answer to everything. “And where would we get the fire?” SUNKEN WITCH remarks, a brow turned upward.

“Read it later, we got a prison to escape,” BELLS OF HELL quips. The path that unfolds before them is one that looks both decrypt and touched by grime. It appears to be a secluded area within the prison that’s never been touched. The walls are covered with what appears to be moss and vines, small insects crawling through the cracks present. The group walks onward with little trouble.

But a rumble can be heard from a distance.

Commissions will be open till 20th of January 2023

My commissions will be closed on the 20th of January and won't open again till the 13th of February, this is because I will be going on holiday during the first week of Feb as a B-Day gift from my parents to me and my twin, and thus I want to make sure everything is ready for the trip and also I don't want to be trying to finish commission work the day before I leave, or start any when I return so I'm giving my self a few days grace before I getting back to work, that is all ^_^ If your interested in my commission prices check the journal below, if you have any questions about prices please ask, and I'm happy to give a quote for potential commission work! Because nobody has added any concrete historical instances of this happening, here are some excerpts from the letters exchanged between Mary II and Sophie von Hannover, a relative somewhat older than her in whom Mary confided many of her most private thoughts and feelings, especially when her husband, William III, was at war on the continent:

Mary to the Electress Sophie, Kensington, 12/2 June 1690. My cousin. Though I make use at present of the return of Mr Schütz [a courtier at Sophie's court] to write to you, I hope you will do me the justice to belie that I should not have neglected responding to your obliging letter of the 7th/17th of the last month any longer. If something I have said is of some consolation, I assure you that I have much need of such myself, the King being on his departure. I cannot boast possessing any fortitude of spirit, but I see that one gets used to afflictions. I have had those so long that they are not new to me; this current one, however, appears to me to be still greater. You may well judge that I have all the reason in the world to be in agony for a husband and dare I say such a husband, i am yet a daughter and do not know what wishes I must make for a father.

Mary to the Electress Sophie, Whitehall, 23rd/13th October 1691. From Whitehall, this 23rd/13th October 1691. My cousin. I am in the last anger against myself to see that I have had two of your letters to which I have not yet responded, and especially since I found out from one of the two that this is not the first time that I have been pained by my negligence, but you have so much consideration for me that I hope you will excuse it once more. I admit that when the King is not here, I am so overwhelmed among affairs, to which I am not at all suited, and the worry I have for him whhen he is exposed to all the mishaps that could befall him at war, that often, I forget myself and do not that which I should, to the discontent of my best friends.

Mary to the Electress Sophie, Kensington, 26th January 1692. From Kensington this 26th January 1692. My cousin. I certainly do not deserve the obliging letters you sent me, for it takes me so long to respond to them.

Mary to the Electress Sophie, Whitehall, 1st July/21st June 1692. From Whitehall, this 1st July/21st June 1692. My cousin. I always have the misfortune to appear negligent towards you, and this is presently at such a point that I don't know where to begin my letter, having one from you which, though without date, I see very well that it was written too long ago to not have received a response yet. I don't know myself why I don't make any more excuses at all, but I beg you nevertheless to do me the justice of beliving that there were many things that contributed to this fault, a bad cold, many affairs, a month in continous fears for a battle in Flanders (which god has not yet permitted).

TL; DR: There you have it. Sometimes, people take time to write back because:

being Queen is hard (their job that they don't like is very stressful)

they are exhausted and worried because the King, who is "such a husband" is away to do battle against some other, less worthy king (they miss their partner/someone else in their life and struggle with that)

the less worthy king the valiant husband-king is fighting is also their dad (they have struggles in their family/private life)

they were busy

they had a bad cold (or other illness)

they just don't currently have the mental energy to reply.

In all seriousness, I can recommend reading Mary's letters to Sophie. It is evident how much Mary emotionally relied on Sophie, and how liberating it was to her that, instead of expressing annoyance, Sophie realised that Mary was not doing well and thus decided to simply not date her letters, to make it easier for Mary to reply whenever she felt up to it. As this is their private correspondence, it hightlights the personal relationship between these two women, who never met in person - they only ever knew each other through letters, and remained pen-pals, so to speak, until Mary's death.

Do you think people used to have ADHD Text Reply Anxiety back in the day. Do you think there was some girl in the 1870s going "Oh, a letter from Esther, how delightful! I must make time to write her a reply this evening!" And then later she was like "It has been 5 months since Esther wrote me, and I am yet to reply. I fear I have tarried far too long, and if she receives a letter from me now it will seem terribly rude and she will want nothing to do with me. And yet, it is ruder still to not write her at all! I fear I am the only one to blame for my current predicament, as I am most terribly forgetful. Ah, but what a fool I am! I shall pray this evening for guidance from the Lord"
