what constitutes being a monster in spn is so deeply interesting bc so much of the show is used to argue that monstrosity is not about what you are but what you do. And that you can always be a better person, your monstrous traits aren’t necessarily actually monstrous.

but as the show goes on we learn that this is only true if dean deems you human. So sams monstrous traits must be buried deep and thrown out in order for him to be good. Sams monstrous friends are inherently evil bc dean says so. Deans monstrous friends are fine though, of course.

I’m just eternally wishing for a version of this show where sams abilities are so deeply ingrained in him that he can’t ever get rid of them. And he’s allowed to be a hero regardless. Give me a season 5 where sams eyes randomly go yellow. Or he has to deal with demon traps or he needs to control his emotions bc anger from him can be literally explosive, but regardless of all of this he still shows dean more compassion than dean ever leant to him in season 4. And regardless of all this he still beats the devil.

There was a shift of shadow to one side and when she saw the figure she relaxed again. "Shanks." It was a soft breathy moan. They had an agreement since she never knew when he would return, whenever he was there he could waltz into her tavern and take her. The bar near the border with the Shipyard had been a suggestion from Jax who said Elijah might enjoy the view on the rooftop. He was right, and he'd been sitting there looking over the lights and listening to the music filtering up from the first level, almost done with his drink and feeling pleasantly light headed. That came crashing down when he saw Leon approaching, and suddenly Elijah was wishing the vampire had come sooner when he was clear headed. This was wolf territory, but that never seemed to have stopped Leon before, so why would it now. "Hello Leon. It's been a while."

The dragon knew someone was going to come up and make a comment about his speech eventually. He didn't know how long it was actually going to take for that to happen in any regard, but he figured that with the number of people that were at Ozzie's at the time, it was going to be sooner rather than later. And sooner happened to be the case here as well. He had mainly retired to a part of the bar in the back, shrinking himself down to not take up as big of a presence at the bar itself. He was mainly trying to forget some of the things he had been dealing with the past few days, but he couldn't exactly say why so many people had wanted to take others to court.

Maybe it was just the case of someone finding a loophole and wanting to try and end someone they didn't like through legal means. This had not been something he had expected to happen, but it was something he wanted to make more official that trying to end people through Satan's court was not the best way of going about things. Sure, his court was there to maintain law throughout Hell, but he wasn't about to start just killing people left, right, and center or anything.

He swirled his drink around a bit in the cup as he looked at it, nearly being startled by the sound of someone speaking. He raised his head to glance at who happened to be approaching and gave a friendly smile to Molly as she approached the bar. He moved a bit to allow some space for her to move over and sit, if she so wanted to, but he didn't really have an idea why she was approaching him. To be fair, he didn't really ever seem to be able to figure out why people did that, but hey, he didn't mind the company sometimes.

He gave a brief chuckle at her words though before taking another sip of the drink and placing the glass back down to look her way.

❝And here I would have thought that my speech would have put everyone to sleep,❞ he chuckled softly and gave a brief nod to her as polite as he could be, ❝What have I done to have you grace my presence though? Surely one speech about my court was not enough to draw company over.❞

He imagined there was more than what met the eye here but he couldn't tell what it was just yet. If he had to guess it was just to see if someone could get with him for the evening. Again, not entirely opposed, he just liked to try and figure out what to get into before anything else happened. But, from what he could tell so far... Molly wasn't bad company. He certainly had worse before.

❝If you're at least going to be gracing me with your presence, perhaps I can at least get you a drink? I'm happy to help out in that department.❞

Makino coughed as she rushed to open a window, grabbing her towel along the way start fanning the smoke out of the pubs kitchen. She had stepped out for maybe thirty minutes to run for some supplies she had just gotten delivered.

"I didn't think you would try cooking!" She shouted back, still waving the smoke away. "Why didn't you wait? I left you food you wouldn't have to cook on the counter!" Makino sighed softly, wondering what he even had been trying to cook.
