Got some facts about the Stain arc in TABF that I’m gonna share under the cut.
You know, I just realized I never elaborated on how Midoriya arrived on the scene during the Stain fight in TABF.
In canon, we know he overhears Manual saying he can’t find Iida, so Midoriya correctly assumes that Iida has gone after Stain since he knew what happened to Tensei deeply affected Iida.
However, things are obviously different in TABF. Tensei isn’t paralyzed, so Iida isn’t out for revenge. So, while he did decide to go intern in Hosu, there’s nothing suggesting that he’s after Stain. For all Midoriya knows, Iida could’ve just gotten separated from Manual which technically is what happened.
Oh yeah, that reminds me. I never did say that Mumei actually had a role in Iida getting separated from Manual, did I? Surely, y’all must have been wondering what happened in TABF since I never specified how Iida got separated from Manual.
Well, here’s a basic rundown of what happened: Iida is with Manual when the Nomu attack the city. Rather than run off on his own cause he sees Stain, Iida, who’s running with Manual, runs into a barrier courtesy of Mumei which appears in between Iida and Manual.
Due to the fires in that area, which Mumei played a role in, smoke is everywhere, making it hard to see. As a result, Manual doesn’t notice that he has lost Iida since he can’t hear Iida over all the noise caused by the Nomu attacks.
Iida realizes he’s hit a wall aka the barrier and decides to head a different direction since he can’t tell what kind of wall it is and he doesn’t want to just indiscriminately destroy it. This is how Mumei ends up leading him toward the alley where Stain and Fortune are.
The reason Mumei went to all this trouble was because AFO paid him to. AFO wanted to see what Fortune would do in this situation and how things would turn out if Iida showed up like he did in her vision. Obviously, he has no way of knowing for sure if Fortune had a vision involving Iida but it makes the most sense since her visions typically just focus on UA.
Basically, this was AFO’s way to amuse himself and to test Fortune to see if she was someone he should take an interest in. That’s also why he gave Yobi a second Quirk and sent her after Fortune. That was Fortune’s final test before he asked Mumei to bring her back during the summer camp attack.
Anyway, back to Midoriya, why would he go looking for Iida when he has no proof that Iida would go after Stain?
It was because his intuition was going into overdrive, screaming at him that something was wrong. Even though nothing was proving that Iida was with Stain, he knew something was going on, so he followed in his canon counterpart’s footsteps.
What he didn’t realize at the time was that his intuition wasn’t screaming at him because Iida was in danger. It was because Fortune was in danger.
Yes, that’s right. Midoriya has a “Fortune is in danger” special sixth sense. This is the first time it was ever used since the USJ attack didn’t really count due to the damage she suffered was caused by her Quirk.
Even though it’s early on in the semester, I like the idea of there already being this special bond between Midoriya and Fortune where they can sense if something is wrong. It’s not super strong yet, but it’s definitely there.
Plus, I just think it’s important for a hero to have that special sense where they just know something is wrong. They don’t know how they know this, but they just know.
In case you’re wondering, the other students who have this special sense, which gets developed during the course of their first year, are Todoroki, Uraraka, Bakugou, and Shinsou. And the person with the strongest version of this sense overall is naturally Aizawa haha
#TABF HCs#I just realized I never mentioned how iida went into the alley#I knew I never said anything about midoriya#but I forgot I never said anything about mumei's role in that lol#also I can't remember if iida has wireless communications in his helmet#where he can talk to manual#if he does I"m sure he just told manual#that he'll meet up with him#after taking the long way around#then manual lost contact with him#cause of the stain fight#since iida stopped responding to him once he reached the alley#those five students are the ones with the strongest special sense#iida and tokoyami are honorable mentions haha

Can i regurst a gojo x reader smut where y/n is gojo’s ex girlfriend and also a strong jujutsu sorcerer and they get back together asdfghjkl 🥺😂? Tyy 🥺
hehhee yes ma’am here u are!!! i actually loved writing this one (i think i just have a thing for writing gojo lately lmao) anyway! i! hope! you! enjoy!
to heaven and back
gojo satoru x f! sorcerer!reader
synopsis: you and your ex, gojo satoru, beat the hell out of a few special grade curses and then head back to his house to rekindle an old (and kind of kinky) flame
tags/warnings: nsfw (18+), smut, handcuffs, blindfolding, little bit of oral sex, teasing, alcohol consumption, some fluff at the end? just a little
word count: 3.1k
You lifted your elegant glass of random wine that you could care less about knowing the name of, and took a long sip. All of these old rich bastards talked way too much about brand names, aging, and what cheese paired well with each wine. They were missing what was really important — which one would get you drunk the quickest.
These kinds of formal events weren’t really your scene, and having to listen to a bunch of old, conservative, high-up jujutsu leaders was terribly boring — so why not take this opportunity to get a little tipsy? You deserved it for putting up with all of these assholes. After all, the only reason they invited you to this prestigious event was for protection. If that pesky band of special grade curses caught wind that all of the higher ups from both Kyoto and Tokyo were in the same place, they were sure to launch some kind of attack. The old, wrinkly douchebags couldn’t care less about your opinions of the jujutsu world and how you would change it, they only liked you for incredible cursed technique.
And so here you were, spitefully wearing your most elegant dress and downing glasses of wine in an attempt to drown out all of the nonsense around you. There was only one thing that could make this event any worse and—
“Hello everyone! The strongest jujutsu sorcerer has arrived — I know you were all looking forward to my appearance”.
And there it was. There was that one thing that could make this event any worse. Gojo Satoru.
You dipped your head low, burying yourself in your glass of wine and praying to any god who would listen to not let this man see you. It’s been over two years since the two of you broke up, but he still wasn’t someone you enjoyed running into.
Gojo was terribly notorious for having a long line of girls at his disposal, and with his incredible strength and annoyingly good-looks, it wasn’t hard to understand why. The two of you had never been in an officially committed relationship, and so technically Gojo was free to do as he pleased — but you were practically dating and your heart ached every time you caught wind of him being with another woman. And so two years ago you cut things off with him for good — you were tired of being the one he always ran back to at the end of the day.
He’d looked at you with eyes full of pain that night, begging and pleading to stay with him. He showed you a vulnerable side to him that you had never seen before — and he swore to you that if you had asked to make things official, he would have committed himself to you fully. You declined however, because you felt like you shouldn’t have needed to ask for that kind of thing — but maybe that was just your ego getting in the way.
“Hey, beautiful, I’ve never seen you around before, you must be from the Tokyo campus,” Some random assistant casually leaned against the counter you were sitting at and shook you out of your thoughts.
“If you’ve never seen me before then you must not be very important,” You shot him a distasteful glance, taking another sip of your wine.
The man’s face lit up with panic — he must not have been expecting such retaliation to his pathetic attempt of flirting.
“Are you bothering her?” A familiar voice came from behind you — a long, slender hand slapping down onto your shoulder, “Please don’t flirt with my wife”.
“Ah- Wife? I’m so sorry, sir,” The man stumbled over his words, bowing his head to Gojo and scurrying away.
Gojo wasted no time sliding into the seat next to you and pouring himself a glass of wine from the bottle you’d already been working on.
“Really? You’re telling people I’m your wife now?” You gave him a deadpanned look.
“It worked, didn’t it?” He shrugged his shoulders and took a sip from his glass.
You rolled your eyes hard, “Why are you here, Satoru?”
“Same reason as you. The old, conservative pussies are afraid those special grades might attack — so why not invite their two prized sorcerers to protect them?”
“Fair,” You let out a heavy sigh, “Not sure that was their best move though — I don’t think either one of us is very motivated to save these fuckers”.
“No, but I brought my students with me today. So, if anything does happen, make sure you put on a show for them,” He winked, already topping off his wine glass.
You looked over to see a few kids sitting a couple tables away from the two of you, chatting amongst themselves and wondering why the fuck they had to be here.
And so an hour or two went by, and to your surprise, you found yourself laughing hysterically alongside Gojo. The two of you had definitely drank a bit too much, and your personalities complimented each other a little too perfectly. You shared the same terrible sense of humor and he had quite the knack for bringing out this lighthearted side of you. You had missed moments like this these past two years.
Neither of you were paying any attention to the current debate that was occurring between the higher ups when a loud crash sent broken pieces of glass flying through the grand hall. Sure enough, the curses had made their appearance and came flying into the building through a now broken window.
“It’s our time to shine, huh?” Gojo looked over at you, and you imagined that his icy blue eyes were swirling with excitement under that mask.
“Yeah, let’s make this quick,” You found a warm ball of excitement churning in your own stomach — it’d been a long time since the two of you had fought together.
Your technique revolved around the manipulation of cursed energy and converting it into light. You could wrap yourself in a shield of light, send curse-filled bursts of light at your enemies, and move at the speed of light as well — which was almost as efficient as Gojo’s teleportation abilities. You had a series of more advanced moves as well, but those required more energy output and therefore you used them a little less often.
The two of you were both able to move so fast that the curses really didn’t stand a chance. You found yourself laughing as you flipped through the air, hurling balls of light at the curses as Gojo worked closer in hand-to-hand combat. At one point, while the two of you were flying past each other, Gojo stuck out his hand and gave you a high five, both of you smiling like maniacs who enjoyed fighting a little too much.
Between Gojo’s Limitless and your extreme agility and bursts of light, the curses were quickly forced to flee. Both of you were feeling much too drunk and much too lazy to chase after them, even with all of the higher ups begging you to do so. Gojo simply flipped them off and stuck out his tongue, saying that he did what they paid him to do — keep the curses away — and now that the curses had been scared off, he was no longer needed.
“You want to come back with me, relieve more of our old memories together? I remember how much you loved sleeping in my king sized bed,” Gojo looked back at you, offering one of his large, slender hands.
Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was your stupid, stupid heart, but you reached out and took his hand, “Fuck it, let’s go”.
Gojo’s house on the outskirts of the Tokyo campus was just as you remembered — sleek black interior with modern furniture and extravagantly silky sheets on his bed — his same bed that you were currently sprawled out on, laying in nothing but your undergarments.
Gojo joined you a couple minutes later, his bare skin warm and familiar against yours. He pressed a few sloppy kisses to your lips, both of you still incredibly tipsy and unable to stop the small giggles from leaking out between your lips while you kissed.
“Take the blind fold off you weirdo,” You pulled at the back of the black fabric.
“Mmm, okay,” He mumbled, undoing the knot and exposing his piercing blue eyes.
“So pretty,” You murmured under your breath — his eyes really were the most beautiful thing you’d ever seen in your life
His fluffy silver hair fell down messily over his face, a drunken smile stretched across his lips. His smile quickly turned into a devilish grin as he slipped the mask over your eyes instead, tying a tight not at the back of your head.
“This isn’t what I meant,” You droned, but you didn’t argue — you certainly weren’t opposed to being blindfolded.
“It looks good on you,” He slurred, his words messy and his lips even messier as he pressed them back against yours.
The kisses seemed to last forever, and both of you were perfectly okay with that — your hands taking their time exploring each other’s bodies for the first time in far too long.
Gojo’s hands worked their way up your back, tracing lines along your toned muscles until he finally reached the nape of your neck. His fingers entangled themselves in your hair, soft hums coming from his lips.
“I still have handcuffs, if you’re still into that sort of thing,” he mused, massaging his fingertips into your scalp.
“Damn, I can’t believe you remember what I like. I thought my preferences would have gotten lost among the sea of other women you were pleasing,” You let the snarky remark roll off your tongue, though there was clearly no real spite in your words — you’re both adults and what happened then was in the past now.
“It wasn’t even that many,” He defended, “And you were the only one who ever mattered”.
“I’m flattered,” You laughed, “Now, where are those handcuffs?”
Gojo stifled a deep laugh, his hands leaving your hair as he lifted himself up and stood from the bed. When he returned a few moments later, there was cool metal wrapping around both of your wrists. He had two sets of handcuffs, putting one on each wrist and then hooking the other side to the bed posts.
You were entirely at his disposal now, your hands secured over your head and your vision blocked off by the black mask.
“I could tickle you right now and there’s nothing you could do,” Gojo observed aloud, pressing kisses up the side of your torso.
“Satoru, I would kick the living shit out of you,” You threaten, goosebumps growing under your skin.
“Yeah, but you can’t touch me unless I let you,” He retaliated, his soft hands reaching underneath your bra to feel your breasts.
You groaned in response — his Limitless really did make him impossible.
He cupped each of his hands around your firm lumps, gently massaging them between his fingers. His cool fingertips then made their way down to your lower body, swiftly removing your remaining underwear. You were now completely exposed to him, chills running down your spine as you wondered what he would do next.
You heard a shaky breath leave his lips, his hungry hands massaging circles into your thighs, “God, you’re so beautiful. I missed you so much, you know that?”
“I’m sure you did,” You breathed, “I’m a wonderful person to be around”.
Gojo let out a hearty laugh, and you heard what you assumed to be the sound of his own underwear getting thrown to the floor. A few seconds later he was straddling your torso, his warm thighs wrapped around your body. You couldn’t see it, but you knew his massive member had to be right in front of your face now.
“Remind me what that pretty mouth can do,” He cooed, pressing the tip of his length gently to your lips.
You graciously granted him access, parting your lips and taking the head of his cock into your mouth. You swirled your tongue around the sensitive tip, earning a few twitches from Gojo’s body. You began to bob your head back and forth as much as the handcuffs allowed, a few quiet moans leaving his throat in response.
He began to move his hips against you, gingerly pushing his member deeper and deeper into your mouth until you were taking the full length down your throat. He groaned and let a few curse words slide from between his teeth — your mouth was wrapped so perfectly around him. Tears pricked at your eyes and a couple rough gags ripped through your throat, Gojo finally pulling away and allowing you to catch your breath.
After that, you felt a single one of his long, slim fingers slide into your mouth, and you wasted no time wrapping it in your tongue and sucking hard.
“Good girl,” He murmured, plucking his finger back out of your mouth and moving it down to your aching entrance.
Between the saliva on his finger and the slick juices around your opening — his finger slid in effortlessly. He started moving in quick movements, curling his finger up into your g-spot each time. A few light moans left your lips, your fists clenching in the cuffs as your yearned for more. His finger felt good, but you wanted the real thing — you needed it.
“Satoru, please,” You practically whined his name, a tiny bit ashamed for how desperate you were for him right now.
“Patience, love,” He clicked his tongue and your heart did somersaults at the endearing name.
He removed his singular finger and intertwined it with a second one before sliding them back into your cavern. He picked up a steady pace again, your breath hitching in your throat. Two fingers was certainly better than one, but the continuous teasing was just making you even more desperate to feel his member inside of you. You mumbled his name over and over, small pleads and shameless whispers leaving your mouth as you bucked your hips against his hands.
“No ones fucked you as good as I used to, have they? You’re horribly desperate right now” He clicked his tongue again, removing his fingers and moving them up to your clit. He rubbed the smallest, softest circles against the small nub, your core growing warmer with desire.
“I won’t make you wait any longer then,” He whispered, sitting back and positioning the head of his length against your throbbing cunt.
“Please,” You mumbled fervently, any ego or pride that you once had was completely down the drain now.
Your pleads were finally rewarded, Gojo pressing himself deep into your tight walls. The immediate feeling was complete bliss, your head rolling back in pleasure as you heard a throaty moan creep it’s way out of Gojo’s mouth. His moans were so pretty — god, you’d missed the sound of them.
He moved in and out at a tantalizingly slow pace at first, your hips bucking and wiggling as you made fervent attempts to make him go faster.
“So eager…” He shook his head, continuing to move at a pace that was absolutely agonizing — you thought you might die if he didn’t rail the hell out of you soon.
“Please, fuck,” You gasped, “Stop moving so goddamn slowly”.
“Your whines are so pretty, baby. Say my name and maybe I’ll give you what you want,” He murmured, his voice low and husky.
“Fucking hell,” You gritted your teeth, “Please Satoru, please fuck me already”.
“Shit,” He mumbled under his breath, your words sending electricity coursing through his body.
After hearing you say that, he was quick to give you what you wanted, picking up his pace and wrapping his hands firmly around your hips. Strangled combinations of moans, whimpers, and cries filled the air as they flew from your mouth. You didn’t care how loud or desperate you sounded, you wanted him to know how good he was making you feel.
The two of you were an entangled mess of sweaty skin and throaty moans, Gojo filling your ears with praises and compliments the entire time. His lengthy member railed into you over and over, hitting that perfect pleasure point with each stroke and sending warm surges of ecstasy through your veins.
Your bodies moved together in sync, your breaths aligning and your climaxes threatening to arrive simultaneously. After a few more firm strokes, you felt yourself drowning in pleasure — euphoria crashing through your body like waves. Gojo reached his end point just a few moments later, his loud cuss words and strangled moans filling your ears.
The two of you rode out your orgasms together, and almost immediately afterwards Gojo collapsed next to you. He lazily reached up and uncuffed each of your hands, leaving the cuffs dangling from his bed posts just in case there was a round two in his future. He rolled the sticky condom off his member and tossed into a nearby trash bin, a relaxed sigh slipping between his parted lips. You peeled the black mask off of your eyes, finally able to meet his again.
He was staring at you with eyes filled with all kinds of emotions — the emotions that he’d been too afraid to admit to the first time the two of you were together. But he wasn’t afraid of commitment anymore, he was absolutely certain about what he wanted, and it was you.
“Stay with me,” He asked, his eyes pleading with you, “I’m ready this time, I promise. I’m all yours, if you’ll have me”.
You found a small smile tugging at the edges of your lips as you looked deeper into his eyes, “Of course I’ll stay, as long as you still feel this way when you wake up sober tomorrow”.
“I’ll feel this way forever,” He pressed his head into you and mumbled into your chest, “And I’ll remind you as many times as you need to hear it”.
You wrapped your arms around him in response, the two of you fitting impeccably together. He placed a few gentle kisses to your skin before his breathes began to slow. You found your own breathing to be evening out, your cloudy thoughts pushing you closer and closer to sleep. The two of you slowly drifted off together, your heavy breaths falling perfectly in sync.

HEADCANON + GOJO SATORU || the gojo twins
request: HELLO^^ so I’ve been wondering this so long but do you think it would even be possible if Gojo had a twin sister that also has the sixth eye ? Probably not but, I’d kinda want to know what the clans higher ups and curses react to 2 sixth eye user.
note: I am glad I am not the only one thinking about this lol. like what if they were two gojos? absolute chaos the world has ever seen. i love it, this entire prompt lives in my head rent free lol
pronouns: she/her
gojotwins!au masterlist
imagine the other clan’s reactions when they learn that not one, but two of the gojo clan’s newest heirs were born with the highly coveted Six Eyes?
gojo satoru and y/n - the newest members of the gojo clan, twins that are born with the Six Eyes. a first case that has ever happened in the family’s history. it was this monumental moment when the higher ups realise that things are going to be interesting
by the way - you’re the older twin lol. just so you can poke jabs at gojo for the rest of your life by using the line. “i’m the older sibling here!”
“only by like, two minutes!”
that being said though, over-protective twin brother who will scare all your boyfriends/girlfriends the first time they meet because of his height and overly nice personality that scares people even more
you’re just as bad though - if any girl or guy walks out of his room after a night of fun you will probably be a little bitch and make them feel awkward until gojo wakes up
“can’t you be a little nicer to them?” gojo groans after the person he slept with last night quickly left after an awkward cup of morning coffee with you. “I actually liked them a lot.”
but it’s all done with love, and if the other realise their significant other makes them happy, they will back off
the moment you two entered jujutsu tech, then yaga-sensei was about to hand in his retirement slip early with the sheer chaos that his year of students were bringing him
ieiri was delighted that she wasn’t going to be the only girl at school; geto was amused how you two were basically copy and paste of each other, just in different genders
surprisingly enough, think you’d be the one who’d be the more studious and definitely more interesting in learning how to hone your skills better - gojo probably still has this ‘i am the strongest’ mentality that the elders planted in him because ✨misogyny✨
but he loves to compete with you - and you’re the only one who’d he ever admit defeat to, and will defend your honour whenever the elders talk down on you because you’re a girl. and to them, girls are just meant to be ‘a pretty face with strong genes to bring a strong generation into the world’
he’s probably the one who talked your elders out of arranging a marriage between you and an heir to another important family like the kamo clan - because there is no way in hell is he going to let some random ass man take you away from him
probably joking told you that if all else fails, to marry geto on the spot - and let’s be honest here, who wouldn’t? Geto looks so damn fine both the anime and especially in the Gojo Past Arch. rail me daddy-
*cough cough*
anyway - ever since that comment, geto and you might pretend to flirt with each other to get gojo riled up. playfully brushing your hand along his arm, playing with his hair between your fingers whenever you two talk, geto leaning close to you to whisper something in your ear with a smirk, or him resting his hand around your waist whenever he leads you about
it always gets gojo riled up, and he’d get in between the both of you; whining for you to give him attention instead
you probably sneak into his room, even as you got older, to hide in his arms whenever you have a nightmare - and he’d wordlessly just hold you close and cuddle you to sleep again no matter how old you two are
both of you share the same braincell - same reactions, expressions, and sometimes even finishing each other’s sentences. sometimes you two even say the same thing at the same time, to which you two just high five each other with a laugh
freaks everyone out a little, since it’s just so random and natural for the both of you to do it
nanami hates it whenever he has to accompany you two - as his senpais, he can’t complain much. he does learn a lot, yet at the same time, he can’t stand it when the both of you are sent on a mission together
with you he’s fine; but he barely tolerates gojo
ijichi loves you, since you compliment him on the smallest of things, or smile at him warmly whenever he does something right; may have a crush on you that he refuses to reveal to anyone
both of you probably have shopping trips every weekend; don’t tell me you two don’t splurge on clothing when you two can charge whatever it is you want to the gojo clan account
you two probably got a lot of those roadside modelling offers - and sometimes you’d probably even joke about leaving the whole jujutsu world behind to become a model instead
“i mean - it pays. and all i need to do is sit and look pretty.”
a lot of ‘did not!’ and ‘did too!’ arguments all day long
you two love to taunt the Curses together before you kill them - it makes them only more scared, but the ‘chase more fun’
“say, toru - it looks so weak for a semi-first, no?”
“must be a new born - how pathetic.”
bags of candies all over the place - somehow he got you addicted to candy as well, so whenever you two travel, you always buy different candies and different treats
when geto betrayed you all in your third year, gojo turned to you as his pillar of familiarity; even more so when he was force to kill his best friend a few years later. the both of you leaned on each other as you start to pick the pieces of yourselves once more
both you and your brother share the same idea of changing the jujutsu world from the inside out, so you two decided to take up teaching together under the command of now principal yaga
poor man is deciding if he now regrets accepting both of your applications
you took in megumi as your own by the way - so megumi respects you a lot since you’re like the mother he never had. but at the same time, he wouldn’t be surprise if he heard that you do something stupid with your twin brother
feel like gojo and you will spend your free time probably trying to unlock more secrets of the Limitless and how to use your Six Eyes better - and Gojo will teach you how to probably use Hallow Purple and how to use Reverse Cursed Techniques with the held of ieiri as well
you took in maki, inumaki and even panda as your own kids as well - teaching them whenever gojo is forced to go and solve some issue the higher ups throw at him; making the kids super protective of you
even when yuta came, you didn’t care about the special grade curse that was stuck inside of him; treating him like an actual person and training him up and build his confidence once more
when you heard what happened to the special-grade cursed object that megumi was tasked on taking the following year, you laughed your ass off for 10 minutes while megumi tried not to show his annoyance
“y/n-sensei, i almost died. it is not funny.”
but you still took yuji in as your own child, and when you were giving him a tour around campus, you raised an eyebrow when a pair of lips appeared on the side of his cheek
“even though i want to kill that white haired bastard, i might spare your pretty little face.”
“hello to you too, sukuna.” you greeted with a smile while yuji slapped a hand over the mouth, apologising to you with a wild blush on his face. you just laughed and reassured the poor boy it was alright
when nobara came, you adopted her as well; and she loves you, and loves how in tune with the trends you are. you two even have a girl’s night where you talk about everything that happens and have a few rants about boys
all in all - highkey chaotic, but with more common sense then your younger twin brother gojo and knows how to act professional whenever you need to. you also tend to adopt all the students that walks through your doors, and they view you as a parental figure as well. you and your brother are a menace together, but you two get things done and no one can really complain
gojo is protective, but when it comes to you it’s worse lol. but you’re just as bad when it comes to making sure ‘your baby brother’ is safe. you two tend to be super sassy and throw shade at each other, but when it comes down to the basics, you two love each other a lot and will go the extra mile to make sure that each other are safe

Bad Influence - Beelsnack's 666 Follower Special!!
(Technically I'm over 666 - shoutout to the porn bots)
But seriously, holy shit, there's a lot of you. Thank you all so much for liking my stuff, and for interacting with me and sending me good vibes and all of that. I hope I can keep giving you guys quality work!!
And yes, I am a nerd and I consider 666 a milestone for a blog for a bunch of demons. No, I'm not sorry.
-----
Lucifer: He couldn’t help but wonder when the change had set in.
When the human first arrived in the Devildom, they had been humble and meek. If anyone complimented them, they deflected it with the mastery and resignation of someone who had been doing it for far longer than they should have. And if someone thanked them? You would think their entire world was dissolving around them.
But now?
He extended a gloved hand towards them as they descended the stairs. Tonight was one of the rare nights where they had the opportunity to be alone without one of his brothers tagging along, and they had been planning this date for nearly a week now. They slipped their hand in his without any of the hesitation they would have shown at first. They knew they deserved his reverence.
“You look radiant as always, my dear,” he curled his fingers around theirs as they reached the bottom step, bringing the backs of their knuckles to his lips. “Surely there is no star in the sky that could outshine you.”
They laughed - his theatrics always did amuse them. “You do have amazing taste, after all.”
He chuckled as well, guiding the two of them to the front door. “Of course. Do you think the Avatar of Pride would associate with anyone less than the best?”
“Definitely not,” the wind that came through the door when they opened it blew their hair away from their face, and Lucifer couldn’t help but preen at the fact that he had helped that quivering little animal grow into the proud swan that stood before him.
“Speaking of the best, where are we going for dinner?”
“Don’t worry, my dear,” he laughed as they made their way out into the night. “You deserve the world, and the world you shall get.”
“Unless ‘the world’ means a steak dinner, I’m not interested.”
Mammon: “Come on, don’t leave me hangin’ out here!”
The curtain covering the entrance to the changing room rustled, and Mammon heard a faint “Fine, fine, just give me a sec!” before it finally opened and out stepped the human.
Mammon always thought they looked good no matter what they were wearing, even if it was one of his old t-shirts and a pair of shorts. Actually, especially if it was one of his old t-shirts and a pair of shorts. But seeing them decked out in his fashion brand - one he had both designed and modeled - was definitely making him feel some type of way.
He let out a low whistle when they stopped in front of the chair he had seated himself in. The results of his own shopping spree were tucked haphazardly into a colorful assortment of bags at his feet, but the human had taken a bit longer than he did picking out their stuff. And damn, was he glad they did, because otherwise he wouldn’t get the chance to see them modeling his clothes.
It was a private fashion show, just for him.
The outfit itself was pretty simple. A black fitted tee beneath a cropped leather jacket, a pair of faded dark-blue skinny jeans, and a pair of black sneaks with a gold stripe going up the side. But the thing that brought the whole outfit together was the long necklace with a topaz pendent resting against their breastbone.
“Well?” they asked, giving him a spin before striking a pose before him. “What do you think?”
For a moment, he couldn’t speak. The human wearing his clothes...it was the next best thing to them walking around with “I Belong To Mammon” tattooed on their forehead.
“I, uh...I guess you...um,” he swallowed thickly. “Ya look alright, I guess.”
“That’s tsundere for ‘you look hot,’ right?” they grinned before spinning around to look in the mirror. “Man, this is a whole look! I have to have it!”
If this had been a few months ago, the human would have waffled back and forth about whether or not to buy anything. It didn’t matter how much they wanted something, it was almost like they just couldn’t do anything nice for themselves. There was being frugal, and then there was deprivation. Now, though, was completely different.
“I wonder if I should get some shades to go with?” they mumbled, looking themselves over in the mirror. “I think that would really pull it together, don’t you?”
“Just don’t go for the Ray Bans, it’s a fucking scam.”
Leviathan: "Come on, come on, come on…"
Very rarely was Levi the one watching someone else play games, unless it was a stream. And as mind-blowingly awesome it would be to watch the human stream one of his current faves, he definitely didn't want other people seeing how adorable they looked when they were focused.
They had come to him with absolute determination in their eyes, begging him to help them out. There were a limited amount of UR armor sets in the event, and they needed to get their hands on one. And, well, what kind of friend would he be if he didn't help them out?
(The fact that he already scored the armor is irrelevant.)
So, here they were, camped out in the pillow nest that they often made for themselves when gaming in his room, laser focused on the screen with Levi giving them guidance. The event level was brutal, but they were in the final hours, so it was crunch time.
"Okay, this boss is easy once you know the attack pattern. Four regular slashes, a jab, then you've got about five seconds to get behind a pillar before it uses the AOE."
"Gotcha."
Even then, it was a long battle, and they had used up most of their healing potions by the time the monster let out an anguished roar and disintegrated into a pile of bones. The human held their breath as they moved towards it to gather their loot.
"Yes!!"
They practically leaped out of the pillow nest in triumph. There, right on the top of the loot list in shimmering gold font, and the UR armor that they had been coveting.
"I got it! I got it!" they cheered. "Levi, I finally got it!"
"Hell yeah you did!" the two of them shared a crisp high five as the results of the campaign loaded on the screen. It was updating in real time, so they could watch as the final moments of the event ticked away.
Levi knew what they were looking for. Early on in the dungeon, another player had done them real dirty, sniping them from a few levels above and then taunting them over VC about how they would never get the armor now. So of course that only inspired the human to work harder, and here they were.
3...2...1
Event over. Quickly, the human scrolled up to the beginning of the list, checking the names of all the players who scored the armor.
Levi sat next to them, chewing his lip. What was that person's tag again? He didn't remember.
Suddenly, the human let out a snort that turned into a full-on giggle fit.
"They didn't get it!" they cackled like a hyena. "Serves them right, the jackass!"
Levi was pretty sure it wasn't a good idea to laugh at the misfortune of others. But, he knew better than anyone that spite was a hell of a motivator. When they had first gotten themselves isekai’d into the Devildom, they had let demons walk all over them, Levi had personally witnessed a lower-level demon shove them out of the way to get a sandwich they had been reaching for, and the human just stood there and let them take it. But they had grown to be a little more selfish, and if they wanted something, they were taking it.
And maybe, just maybe, seeing them like that turned him on just a little bit.
Satan: "You want to come and say that to my face?"
Satan stood there in stunned silence as the human spun on their heel to look the demons right in the eyes. They had their back to him, so Satan couldn't see the look on their face, but whatever it was made the two lesser demons flinch.
"Hey, come on, Human, we were just joking."
"Yeah, no need to get all worked up."
They scoffed, and Satan knew them well enough to know that they were rolling their eyes. "Is that right? So you don't think I'm a...what was it? A fleshy meat sack who thinks they can get what they want by sleeping with the strongest demons in the Devildom?"
Another flinch. Satan chuckled to himself.. Did those morons really think they wouldn't hear them? Humans might not have super-heightened senses but they weren't deaf.
A small crowd had begun gathering around them, waiting to see what would happen. It wasn't every day one of the human exchange students squared up to a demon.
"You've got some nerve," the human drew themself up to their full height - which, admittedly, was laughable compared to most demons - and crossed their arms. "What do you think Lord Diavolo would do to demons who messed with his exchange students?"
"I believe there's a special spot in the Royal Torture Chambers for such demons," Satan came to stand next to them, and the other demons downright cowered. "If I recall correctly, there's an Iron Maiden down there."
"Ooh, cool!"
"Alright, we get it!" One of the demons cried, throwing their hands up defensively. "We're sorry!"
Satan opened his mouth to spit a curse at them, but the human beat him to it. "I've got Lord Diavolo on speed dial, so start running."
The two demons turned tail and booked it down the hallway, nearly crashing into Beelzebub as he turned the corner with a sandwich hanging out of his mouth. He stood frozen for a moment before he swallowed and turned to Satan and the human.
"Were those two bothering you guys?"
Satan cast a sideways look at the human before a wicked grin spread across his face.
"They took care of it."
Asmodeus: "Well, someone's feeling bold tonight."
The door had barely shut behind the two of them before the human was pressing Asmo against it, mouthing at his neck as their hands traveled down the front of his silk blouse. He shuddered gleefully as their breath ghosted against his ear lobe.
"I can't help it," they murmured, fingers skirting just beneath the hem of his shirt. "You looked so good out there."
"I look good all the time, darling," he hummed, reaching up to grab a fistful of hair to gently pry them away from his neck.
"You looked especially good," they huffed as he let go of their hair. "Dancing like that, I could barely wait until we got home."
"Aw, sweetheart, you should have come to join me." Asmo rolled his hips in an echo of the dancing he had been doing at the club, delighting when he felt them shiver against him. "We could have put on a show that would have captivated the whole Devildom."
"I don't think the staff would appreciate it."
"They would be too busy watching to care," Asmo giggled, diving down to capture their lips in a quick and dirty kiss. "Although I can't say I'm not thrilled to be getting a private show."
Beelzebub: “Man, this place has the best barbecue!”
Dinner dates were a pretty common thing for the two of them. Over the course of the human’s stay in the Devildom, the two of them had figured out which restaurants would put up with Beel’s appetite and which would visibly freeze when the Avatar of Gluttony entered the establishment. The Hellfire Barbecue was one of the good places, probably because Beel made sure to tip really well, and one time personally went into the kitchen to tip the chef. Or, well, he tried, anyway. He ended up giving the money to the human and told them to give it to the chef because he knew if he went in there he would devour everything. But the sentiment was still there.
Beel smiled down at the human as they wiped the barbecue sauce off of their face. “You finished all of it this time.”
“Huh?” they glanced at their plate. “Oh. Yeah, I guess I did.”
“You usually don’t.”
“I was really hungry, I guess.” they grinned sheepishly.
Beel distinctly remembered the human telling him that they always tried to save some food for later. Whether it was being resourceful or because they had a weird sense of shame around eating too much, Beel didn’t know, but he had never pressed in case it was a sensitive issue. But, seeing them indulge themselves and looking genuinely full and satisfied made him happy. And was probably his main motivation for taking them out to dinner so often.
Well, that and getting his own food.
“I like watching you eat.” Beel said, waving to the owner as he passed by.
“You...like watching me eat.” the human repeated, looking somewhat confused.
“You look so happy when you eat good food,” Beel smiled. “I like seeing you happy.”
Belphegor: Oh, how the tables have tabled.
“Come on, I don’t feel like dealing with Lucifer’s lectures today.” Belphie grumbled, tugging half-heartedly on the human’s arm that was flung around his waist. “We should get up soon.”
For all of his complaining, Belphie didn’t move. If anything, he snuggled down deeper into the bed. He loved when the human agreed to have a sleepover in the attic with him. They got uninterrupted cuddle and nap time, since nobody dared to come up to the attic except Beel. And Beel was almost always welcome to join the cuddle puddle.
“Five more minutes…” the human mumbled sleepily, burying their face into Belphie’s neck. The soft, contented sigh they let out tickled, and he squirmed a little.
“Aren’t you usually the one waking me up?” Belphie nuzzled his nose against their hair.
“But it’s comfy here,” they whined. “I don’t want to get up.”
“You just don’t want to do the presentation in class today.”
“Your point?”
Belphie laughed. “Can’t say I disagree.”
“I did all the hard work anyway,” they shrugged. “We’ll make Mammon give the report.”
“Sounds like a plan to me.”
The two of them settled back down into the nest of pillows. The human had almost drifted back to sleep when Belphie brought his nose down to theirs to nuzzle them together.
“You’re cute when you’re sleepy.”
“You’re cute when you shut up and let me sleep.”

A Cursed Reality- JJk x Male Reader (Ch.6)
I love you all. But I refuse to proofread this. I hope it isn’t horrible. If it is I can promise the next one won’t be. This is kind of long but kind of short and has parts taken directly from the manga but I also switch it up here and there.
Last || Next
“[Name] i’m worried about you”
"Why?"
"Because you were hysterical over yuji's body and now you're just fine"
"My cursed technique doesn't fail. It just...doesn't. I’m Fine. Yuji's fine. i'm just waiting for him to wake up"
Megumi looked at him concerned before turning and looking at Kugisaki. They recalled how gojo described [Name] when he'd been sent out on a mission with inumaki
"He's my best student. A little unhinged but he means well. Do Not get on his bad side. if he learns how to fully use his cursed technique [Name] has a shot at dethroning me as the strongest"
They looked at him in disbelief. sure [Name] was strong. Strong enough to not fear Sukuna but they couldn't believe he'd be stronger than Gojo. That was god-like power and it didn't make sense for someone like [Name] who fights over cheez-its and dislikes people because they "felt wrong" to be in the running for the strongest jujutsu sorcerer. One of the strongest... maybe.
"Well..." Gojo interrupted their thought "That won't happen anytime soon" He gave a closed eye smile to reassure the first years. If they'd known him a little better they'd know he was lying. [Name]'s power relied on emotions. And with him increasingly getting attached to people like Nanami, Gojo and the first years—and Inumaki of course, he grew stronger and more out of control. To avoid a repeat of what'd happen a couple years ago, They'd begun honing [Name]'s skill within Gojo's infinity. It was the only way to release such a massive amount of cursed energy undetected.
[Name]'s dislike towards the higher ups would only prove a threat if he grew more powerful. Gojo was raised in the world of jujutsu, primed to be a shaman. [Name] became a shaman because of a terrible accident. Someone raised outside of their society with no desire to follow their hierarchy is a threat. He would be like Geto Suguru but worse. Especially since he had an attachment to the vessel of Sukuna.
"I hope [Name]-san will be okay"
"He'll get over it. by the way when did you switch to calling him [Name]-san Fushiguro?"
"He's been asking me to stop calling him senpai for a while now. But seeing him like that over Yuji's body. It really humanized him. He's only just 17 years old"
"[Name] honey"
"Satoru"
"Oh wow first name okay. how about we take a break and come back after Shoko examines the body"
"No i'm gonna be here when he wakes up"
"Okay"
Gojo gently pat [Name]'s head, leaving his hand to rest before walking closer to Ijichi who was shocked by the scene between the two.It was obvious to anyone that [Name] and Gojo were close, Gojo being the only one who could give [Name] orders without any pushback and [Name] being the only person since Geto who could truly make Gojo soft. What was more shocking was the state [Name] was in. Since he'd arrived in Tokyo they'd only seen the colder more composed aspect of him.
"Why are you placating him Gojo? You’re letting him sit there and believe his friend will just rise from the dead?"
"He needs this. He needs to grieve and if I tried to stop him he could simply tell me to go die and then what would I do?" (Probably not die you idiot. fight back)
Ijichi went silent after that remembering exactly how petty [Name] got when he was upset. He could and most certainly would tell someone to go and die. or fall in a ditch. The get lost one was a real nuisance.
Shoko looked at Ijichi’s face and realized it wasn’t worth arguing. It wasn’t her turn to say anything, she’d let the rest of their conversation play out before she makes her dramatic entrance. She could only hope they wouldn’t make too much of a fuss as she was getting anxious to dissect the vessel’s body.
“It was intentional wasn’t it”
“What do you mean?” Ijichi asked, his heart thumping audibly. This piqued [Name]’s interest too, but like Shoko he’d let the scene play out a little before speaking up. He wanted to wait until his two cents would help make a dollar.
“The enemy was special grade. Five rescue targets who weren’t even confirmed alive. There’s no way I’d send in first-years for that.” Gojo Answered “I had to pull some strings to get a stay of execution for Itadori. Those crusty ass higher ups used a special grade to get rid of him in my absence. If the other two had died that would’ve been icing on the cake right”
“But when the mission was planned… there was no indication of special grade” Ijichi nervously choked out. Gojo’s bloodlust was overwhelming and kind of scary. He’d much prefer if [Name] ordered him to get lost
“What they didn’t count on was [Name] seeing through their plans. He’s a genius, my student. It would be a pain trying to find the culprit so maybe I should just kill them all”
“You’re being emotional for once. You really had a soft spot for him, huh?” Shoko spoke as she made her entrance
“Sure, I’m a nice guy who looks out for his students.”
Nice guy. Shoko almost scoffed “Don’t pick on Ijichi too much He’s caught in the middle between us and the higher ups”
“Besides” [Name] spoke up “It’d really get on their nerves when they learned the plan failed. Especially because of me. They should suffer a little before they die, no?”
Shoko gave [Name] a quick glance before continuing, from the corner of her eye she could see Gojo smiling at the second year. He must have a couple more soft spots than she realized. “So.. this is Sukuna’s vessel. I can dissect him anyway I want”
“You better make it worth it”
“I will who do you think I am”
“Sorry puppy, endure it a little. We can get our revenge when you wake up” [Name] whispered
“What use is he dead?” Nobara asked with her chin on her hand “[Name] might be having some monumental breakdown but at least he’s still strong… and alive” she paused for a second. “Hey is this the first time a friend of yours has died?
“A classmate yeah”
“Really? You seem fine”
“Look who’s talking”
“Of course. I’ve only known him for two weeks. I’m not the kind of girl who cries over a guy like that”
Fushiguro noticed her lip quivering and chose not to say anything as she pulled herself together.
“Man it’s hot”
“Yeah I wonder when we’ll get our summer uniforms.”
“Sheesh. You’re more moody than usual Megumi. What is this a funeral?”
“Zen’in senpai”
“Don’t you dare call me by my last-”
“Maki! Maki!” Panda called “He really did die. It happened yesterday. A first-year boy”
“Fish flakes”
“You ARE A LITTLE LATE. Now I look like a cold hearted demon”
“Well you pretty much are”
“Tuna Mayo”
“Who are these people?” Nobara asked Fushiguro. He introduced her to the second years. Panda, Maki and the infamous Toge Inumaki”
“Ahh so this is [Name]’s boyfriend”
“HAH!” Maki laughed “The two of them are close but I think i’d prefer Inumaki with Okkotsu”
Megumi tilted his head at the suggestion “Okkotsu senpai isn’t here but he’s the only one I can sincerely respect. He’s abroad right now”
Nobara paid very little attention to whatever Fushiguro was saying caught up in Panda’s… pandaness. The only thing that truly broke her out of her curiosity was the mentioning of a goodwill event. Considering it was less of a charity event and more like a battle royale it was right up Nobara’s alley.
“You’re in right?” Maki egged on “Do it for your fallen friend”
“We’re in” Kugisaki and Fushiguro chorused
“But if I think both the training and the goodwill event are pointless. I’m out”
“Same here” Megumi agreed
“Heh. it should be fun putting you guys in your place”
“Fish flakes”
“Inumaki senpai.” Megumi looked away, finding the distance much more appealing “He’s not alright. But he will be.”
“Salmon” Inumaki knew [Name] would be alright. This was THE [Name] [L.Name]. He was the main character. When the MC disappears, they just come back stronger.

New Altered Reality Chapter!
A03 / FF
I think it’s been like . . two years since I updated this story XD oops. The story is linked at the top if you want the full chapter and/or story. This is only a portion of the new chapter because it’s over 6k words
"Why don't you go train for a little while? It might take your mind off things." Rin made the suggestion as gentle as possible, ignoring the frustration that seethed just beneath the surface of her calm. She wanted the apartment to herself for a few hours and desperately needed Kakashi to stop fussing over her. Then, she'd be able to relax the way that she was supposed to. The man's constant attention put her on edge.
Since the doctor's appointment four days ago, Kakashi had been acting like a brooding hen. When Rin stood up to get her book from the bedroom, he'd jumped to his feet and offered to go instead. He didn't want her standing long enough to cook or clean, so he'd taken over those duties as well. While Kakashi was decent in the kitchen, he'd kept everything bland and refused to add any salt to the dishes. If the man mentioned her blood pressure one more time, Rin was fairly certain that hers would rise to dangerous levels when she yelled at him.
At Rin's words, Kakashi glanced up from the book in his lap. The man's brow furrowed as he marked his place with a finger. "What if you need something while I'm gone?"
"Then, I'll get it myself," Rin answered. She moderated her tone to placating rather than annoyed. It was more difficult than she expected. "I'm hardly an invalid, you know?"
"The doctor said you needed rest." Kakashi argued for the umpteenth time, as if Rin had forgotten it, as if he would give her a chance to forget it.
Rin held up her hand to stop Kakashi's next arguments before they could form. Slowly, she counted to five under her breath. The idea of laying in bed or on the couch for even one minute longer made her physically ill. She had done everything that she was supposed to: drinking glass after glass of water to keep herself hydrated, keeping the lights dim and the room quiet, resting on her left side whenever possible. There had been a dozen tiny things that might make a difference, or might not.
While that scenario would sound like a dream for some women, to Rin, it was a nightmare. She missed the days when training and missions kept her mind and body racing. When she was in the village, Rin kept herself busy wherever the hospital needed an extra set of hands. She hadn't chosen her specialization yet, but she was leaning toward pediatrics. Most medical nin worked in triage and emergencies, but there were plenty of quiet days as well. Rin liked the idea of helping children feel better rather than focusing on battle injuries.
Rin realized that her mind had drifted from the topic at hand and brought her eyes back to Kakashi. She couldn't help but appreciate the changes in her husband in the past few days, even when they annoyed her. In some ways, he was more like himself and others, he was totally different. Rin could manage the symptoms of her pregnancy; she'd done that when morning sickness left her more or less living on the bathroom floor for two months. But, she couldn't handle the hovering worry that radiated off of Kakashi.
"Why don't you go see if Minato has an update on your team?" Rin suggested, pushing into a sitting position.
Apprehension entered Kakashi's eyes. The man still hadn't been able to explain his nervousness over the chunin exams, no matter how much he tried. Rin almost felt bad for bringing up the memory, almost. Team Seven was the only distraction that could get Kakashi out of her hair for an hour or two. Sensing the man's wavering resolve, Rin pushed. "I'm just going to take a bath anyway. A cool one," Rin amended when Kakashi opened his mouth. He had been reading one of her many books about the dos and don't of pregnancy; Rin wished that she'd thrown them out once she finished.
"I'm sure he would have sent someone if there was news," Kakashi countered. His voice lacked its usual certainty, however. He wanted to know what was happening with his students as much as Rin wanted some time to breathe.
Rin nodded, running a hand through her hair. "Probably, but it would be good for you to get your mind off this mess." She gestured around the apartment. "Besides, if I need you, I can create a clone to find you. I still know how to do some things."
Over the past few months, Rin had been developing her chakra control. Once her pregnancy had been confirmed, she'd been removed from active duty. With missions off the table, she spent more time at the hospital. Even so, Rin was only permitted to assist with certain cases, so she spent her free time working through exercises that improved her control. Hopefully, that would allow her the freedom to study more medical ninjutsu after the baby was born. If she'd learned anything from being on a team with hotheaded Obito and reckless Kakashi, it was that a medic was always necessary.
"You promise you'll come find me if you need anything?" Kakashi's voice held a note of uncertainty that surprised Rin. When she nodded, he tucked a strip of cloth into the book on his lap and placed it on the table. "I won't be gone long, but maybe you're right. I'm sure there are rumors about teams finishing the second exam by now."
"Take your time," Rin offered, schooling her face to impassivity. If she looked hopeful at the free time, Kakashi would see the trap. He stood, stretching the stiff muscles in his back, then glanced in her direction. A slight frown appeared on his face.
He's debating whether or not to kiss me, Rin realized with a start. While Kakashi had changed significantly over the past few days, the hesitancy about displaying emotions with her remained. Honestly, it didn't bother Rin as much as his lost memories did. Kakashi had always been private and reserved with his affections. Deciding to meet him halfway, Rin caught his hand with hers and squeezed. Kakashi exhaled in relief.
"Go on," Rin prompted, dropping her fingers away. "I'll be good, I promise."
A smile tugged at the corners of Kakashi's mouth as he stepped closer. To Rin's surprise, he leaned in and pressed a warm kiss to her forehead. An unfamiliar explosion of heat washed through her chest at the gesture. "I'll bring dinner home," Kakashi continued, completely unaware of the effect he had on her. "Don't even think of trying to make it while I'm gone."
"Promise," Rin laughed, hoping that her smile disguised the fact that she had just been considering that very thing.
When the door shut behind Kakashi, Rin glanced at the calendar on the wall. She calculated how much longer she'd have to endure Kakashi's worrying before life could get back to normal. If everything went perfectly, they would meet their son in twelve weeks; Rin could hang on that long. She didn't have a choice.
When a brief knock sounded on the office door, Minato glanced up from the paperwork in his hand. Shikaku slipped through before he had time to answer, and Minato's heart leaped into his throat. "Has there been news?"
The second chunin exam was coming to a close, and there still hadn't been any word of Naruto's team. Minato knew that his son and his teammates were talented shinobi, but the exams were designed to be taxing. He'd seen just as many groups fail because of bad luck as poor skill. With the relative peace in the shinobi nations, fewer genin were advanced to the next rank. Minato agreed with the changes, but he could still remember all too well how quickly the ninja wars had started.
Shikaku shook his head as he shut the door behind him. "None about Team Seven."
Minato understood what the man wasn't saying; there were more important things to worry about than Naruto's advancement. Shikaku's son was also competing in the exams, he had to be wondering about the same things as Minato, but Shikaku remained detached. He stayed focused on the other matters that required his attention to keep the village running. Shikaku had been an excellent pick as Minato's second in command, and Minato didn't know what he would do without him most days.
Dipping his head in understanding, Minato pressed a thumb and forefinger against his eyes to stave off a headache. It had been a stressful week. When he wasn't torn between worries over Kakashi's memory and Naruto's performance, Minato had been dealing with chaos of having multiple villages together. There had been half a dozen fights to break up, tempers that needed soothing, and the exhaustion of hosting delegates. He cringed. "What is it this time? A broken nose over which kage is the strongest? Blood feud over the death of a distant relative? A comment taken the wrong way?"
"None of the above." Shikaku didn't crack a smile at Minato's attempted levity. Whatever he had come to say must be bad. Minato waited in silence. "I wasn't sure what to make of the report, so I brought it to you immediately. Someone made an attempt against the village barrier."
Minato shifted, mind flashing back to Kakashi's warning about Orochimaru. Even so, he forced himself to think logically rather than responding with a knee jerk reaction. "Did the Anbu tasked with that portion of the village find anything out of the ordinary? Which team was it?"
Again, Shikaku shook his head. "Obito's team deemed it a false alarm, something bound to happen with this many foreigners in the village."
Minato nodded without answering. Technically, his advisor shouldn't know the names of the men and women in Anbu, but Obito's presence hadn't been easy to hide, especially from someone who worked closely with Minato. Shikaku had been an effective jonin commander because he knew the strengths and weaknesses of every jonin in the village. There were few who weren't under his purview at some point, but Minato had no doubt that the man knew them as well. He wouldn't be good at his job if he didn't.
"Was there any evidence to suggest otherwise, anything at all?" Minato hated asking the question, but he couldn't afford to be lax with village safety during the chunin exams. There had been too many warnings to write this off as a coincidence. Though, he knew that if Shikaku had more information, he would have supplied it already.
Shikaku's sigh spoke volumes. He'd been under the same pressure as Minato the past couple of weeks. "No, everything appears to be in order."
Minato wondered if Shikaku had been thinking about Kakashi's warning when he brought that message. As much as Minato wanted to, he hadn't been able to keep that solely between himself and Inoichi. He relied on Shikaku too much to withhold such critical information. Even so, he held back as much as he could about Kakashi's memory loss. Until he figured out the cause, the less that everyone else knew, the better.
Tapping long fingers against the polished wood of his desk, Minato considered. He wanted to hear the report from his Anbu, but that would require summoning Obito. Or, perhaps, he could get by with asking Tenzo about it. The remorse that Obito had shown for what he did to Kakashi wasn't enough; the boy needed to realize that his behavior would not be tolerated. Minato decided to summon Tenzo once Shikaku left and get the full report on the disturbance. Though, he suspected it was a false alarm.
Sensing that he'd only skimmed the surface of Shikaku's reports, Minato nodded. "What else?"
A wry grin twisted the jonin's commander's face as he glanced down at the notes in his hand. "Uchiha Fugaku has requested a private meeting with you." Minato's eyebrows rose at that, wondering who Fugaku would want to talk about, one of his sons or Obito. It wasn't like the clan head to meet with Minato for something minor.
Minato dipped his head in understanding, then Shikaku continued his thought. "He requests a private meeting in the Uchiha compound."
The locale didn't surprise Minato. Fugaku must have found out something about the mystery surrounding Kakashi, but it wasn't something he wanted to risk being overhead. Which meant that it probably touched on some clan secret. Having the Hokage come to the compound instead of the other way around would raise the clan's opinion of Fugaku, at least. There were still some people, particularly in the Uchiha clan, who wished that Fugaku had become Hokage instead of Minato. Hopefully the man's information would be worth the hassle.
Minato glanced at the clock. It wasn't quite noon, and he was already longing for home. "When am I supposed to be there?"
Shikaku consulted his notes to be sure he was correct before speaking. "Tonight. Your schedule was too full to allow time during the day, and with the second exam ending in the morning, there wasn't another opportunity."
Fugaku didn't want to wait that long, Minato realized after a moment. He dipped his head in understanding; there were a million loose ends that needed to be tied up before the final exam could begin. Even problems as important as this one had to wait. Minato rubbed at his temples in frustration, then gestured for Shikaku to continue. "What else?"

(Hibiki (響) Okamoto (岡本) -- 17 years old -- Jujutsu High ( Third Year ) FC: Atau Rindo
Hibiki is a student at Jujutsu High with a Heavenly Restriction placed on him from birth that renders him deaf. He can’t hear any sound whatsoever except a very special sound. He can hear the sounds of curses and cursed energy on a very special wavelength only he can pick up. It’s the only sound he can perceive and as a result makes him one of the strongest sensors and trackers out there. It’s damn near impossible to hide from him when he’s listening as long as you have some form of cursed energy. ( See extra info under a read more because I don’t want to spoil anyone by mistake ).
He’s a third-year student at Jujutsu High and the only one who didn’t get in trouble because he doesn’t do much to warrant trouble. Hibiki supports his classmates and their vision, but isn’t willing to jeopardize himself due to his living situation.
Originally Hibiki was born to a family of non-sorcerers who didn’t understand the cause of his deafness at birth. Since he could never ‘hear’ he’s been trained in JSL and ASL and carries a notebook and pen around with him. But one day he began to speak about hearing ‘things’ despite not being able to hear his parents voices. Eventually his parents took him to a therapist who happened to be a sorcerer who confirmed his condition and offered to have him placed in the care of those who would understand his condition and ability better. Hibiki did choose to take the deal, but keep in mind there is no ill will on his end towards his parents nor do they hate him. The sorcerer who helped him simply explained to the parents that their son was being offered a scholarship to attend a private boarding school, and he had decided he wanted to go. He still keeps in touch with them to this day, but keeps the existence of cursed spirits and such a secret. Hibiki doesn’t want to worry them unnecessarily.
Because of his deal with the sorcerer, he was ‘in the case’ of Jujutsu High prior to officially joining the school. He had a small little apartment and an allowance to basically keep him fed, and attended public school before Jujutsu High. After school he also had very basic training regarding cursed energy and just basic self-care things so he could sufficiently take care of himself. He was always checked up on daily though and wasn’t left entirely alone.
As for combat abilities, Hibiki’s offensive skills are a little below average. He’s mainly skilled in hand-to-hand and with a small field to protect himself but doesn’t engage deliberately almost ever. His innate technique allows him to reduce the amount of gravity affecting him momentarily, but increases the gravity around him within a five foot radius. He can’t apply it to anyone else but himself and it drains his own cursed energy to maintain the effect. He’s training to see if he can cause the cursed energy drain to apply to those within the affected radius but has not had any success with that yet.
Extra notes : Because his heavenly technique relies on cursed energy existence, he would not be able to sense Toji OR Maki once she lost her cursed energy.

Anime Husbandos (in order from admitting them to myself)
I didn’t feel too confident about this list my first time around looking back on it I forgot about a lot of my fave boys and a more recent one that has stolen my heart. I wanted to do a more updated list talking about this because it is one of my favorite conversation topics. Admitting to myself that yes I had a type wasn’t easy for me. Especially when that type wasn’t easy for me to find in real life. I spent a lot of time lying to myself saying that I didn’t love them as much as I said that I did but in reality that was just a facade. I’ve become a lot more open and honest about the type of person that I’m interested in during quarantine. You’ll realize pretty quickly that it is still the goofball type but there are some changes from my original list that I made last year. With all that said and done let’s talk cuties!!
The first official husbando that I remember having was when I was back in middle school. I was in the eighth grade and had just started watching Durarara. If you’ve kept up to date with my favorite characters from my favorite shows it should come as a surprise to nobody that my first husbando that I remember admitting to my best friend that I had a thing for was Masaomi Kida. He’s a goofball, of course. But there was so much more to him than just a joke and an adorable laugh. He was deeper than that and due to the pain and trauma that he went through with the Yellow Scarves he swore that he was going to live everyday to the fullest. I might not have finished this show all the way through with it’s second season and everything but I will always have a big soft spot for Masaomi Kida. I loved laughing with him, learning more about him and overtime I fell in love with him.
We’re going to go in order from the first that I admitted to myself to the most recent one just to keep things fair for everybody else. And also I’m going to keep it one character per show and each character will have a gif for them (I’m already remembering the days of getting lost in Masaomi Kida’s eyes seriously somebody send help). The second main husbando that I admitted to myself happened when I was 13. It was the third anime that I ever watched even before Durarara but technically I admitted my love for Masaomi before this character. Anybody who has talked to me for more than five minutes knows that above all else my favorite anime husbando of them all is Tamaki Suoh from Ouran HighSchool Host Club. This goofy French boy stole my heart from the first time that he ever flirted with Haruhi. Ever since then let’s face facts I’ve been a lost cause of fangirling trash. Nobody has ever made me laugh as hard as Tamaki Suoh. One has come close, so very close and he’ll be later on down the list but nobody has touched the number one spot. Tamaki is romantic, goofy, flirty, but at the same time he’s kind, lonely, a bit of a lost soul and beautiful. He made the club out to be his family because had none. That fact hit me hard when I was younger. I wanted to give this poor beautiful soul a hug. I also desperately wanted to find my own but I haven’t given up hope yet. I am going to find my Tamaki one of these days. I don’t care how long it takes me to find him.
(One of my biggest anxieties for the future is HD Tamaki with better animated eyes and romantic notions. It will probably be the death of me you will never hear me post ever again.)
I didn’t have another anime husbando for a really long time mostly because I stopped watching anime due to the bullying that started happening to me. There were characters that I loved like Edward Elric but he’s not one of my husbandos technically. No we’re here to talk about an action anime with superpowers that ruined my life. Fellas that have stuck around this long to hear me ramble let’s talk about Class President Tenya Iida. I love this baby so much it’s kind of ridiculous. I didn’t really at first it wasn’t until the second season when everything changed for me. When he got his arch during the Hero Killer that honestly made me weep so damn hard that’s when everything changed for me. I fell in love with his ability to put his friends above everything else in his life. He is so goofy but at the end of the day the thing that I loved the most about him is the fact that he puts his friends above all else. Once he learned that he had to protect his friends he got so much better at being a good friend. That’s what I loved the most about him!! He is friend shaped and I want to give him a big old hug.
(I decided to pick a goofy gif for Iida because this as the first time I had ever laughed my ass off at something that he was doing.)
Anybody that has ever heard me ramble their ear off about this show knows that my favorite male character that I would put myself up with is Kakeru Manabe vice president of the Student Council or in his opinion The School Defense Force. Kakeru is in the best way I can describe him is the same way his English voice actor Aaron Dismuke would, a rascal. He loves to mess with people and cause chaos because it’s more fun to him than the life that he used to live. He’s been through hell and come out more goofy and bubbly because of it. Kakeru embodies strength to me. Even though some might see him as annoying or inferior because of his loud nature I beg to differ. In my honest opinion Kakeru is one of the strongest male characters in the Fruits Basket canon. He is this source of light that just makes everything better just by being there. With his goofy nature, his sense of humor, his way of making people want to follow him and his levels of bringing out the best side of Yuki I fell so deeply in love with this character that he is the closest to rival my love for Tamaki.
(I can’t wait to see blushing Kakeru just help me somebody lmao I think I’m way past asexual tactile garbage at this point. I just want to cuddle him.)
My last and newest husbando is one that I just finished last week. For those that are still with me let’s talk about Chrome from Dr Stone. This show has easily become my newest obsession. I almost instantly fell completely in love with this goofball “sorcerer” turned scientist. From his what I thought was adorable catchphrase that suited his character, to his overly excited nature whenever he got the opportunity to go and search for rocks and minerals for The Kingdom of Science. His devotion to Ruri was something that I was both jealous of and found incredibly sweet and charming (I’m realizing that everybody on this list aside from Iida has a canon love interest.) Watching him grow and learn more about science in the modern world was one of my favorite things about my newest obsession. He was always willing to help out Senku no matter what the job meant for him. Even if that job was going into a toxic gas filled lake. He was willing to put his life on the line for everyone in the group in order to save the woman that he had loved since he was a little kid. That was the moment when I looked at Chrome and realized just how special he truly was. Not many would give their lives for a simple notion of love but knowing that his heart was truly that big it brought a tear to my eye. Chrome is incredibly sweet, goofy, intelligent, incredibly passionate about the things that he loves and always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends when he needs them.
(I would give this baby so many bowls of ramen just to see his eyes light up when we hunting for minerals together!! He’s just way too cute and precious and I love him so much.)

weekly fic roundup #4 (bnha)
weekly fic roundups cover boku no hero academia fanfiction, and generally showcases gen whump fic.
for more fic recs, check out my fic rec tag & my weekly fic roundups.
*due to the sheer amount of fics i’m reccing this week, this fic is going under a read more cut, but please go through and take a look at all of them! there’s around 24 fics on this list.
this weekly fic roundup covers the week mar 8-15.
Tristeza by ViolentlyRed
gen; 6/5k; 1/1 complete; bakugou & aizawa
"Through the lenses of three AM, Bakugou looks a lot smaller in the streetlight of a hospital parking lot."
Or, Aizawa comes to a few conclusions in the span and the aftermath of one long, stressful night.
(Bakugou is hurt and sick and Aizawa is robbed of his sleep and his sanity, yet again)
thoughts: ugh, what a good fic. it hurts in all the right ways, and dadzawa and hurt!bakugou is satisfying in a visceral way.
Wonders Never Ceased by ViolentlyRed
gen; 2.6k; 1/1 complete; bakugou & aizawa
Two calamitous days.
He gets the call from Tsukauchi sometime around nine in the morning.
Or, everything is awful, Bakugou is not okay, Aizawa's heart aches and they somehow get through it.
thoughts: and another bakugou whump from the same author. really a treat.
In Harm’s Way by VIKAN
gen; 19.7k; 1/1 complete; todoroki, kirishima, & bakugou
Todoroki isn't feeling so good, Kirishima is concerned, and Bakugou doesn't care at all.
thoughts: oh, yes. putting these three together makes for an interesting dynamic, especially because it’s todoroki’s pov while he’s dying just a little bit and two idiots don’t know what to do. todoroki whump!
Blooming Gladiolus, Fall to the Ground by twilighteve
gen; 19.5k; chapters 5/? ongoing
When Midoriya Hisashi finally comes home from years-long work outside the country, Izuku expected to have some family down time that he hadn’t ever had with him since… well, forever. Catching-up talk, maybe. Chatting while drinking coffee or eating ice cream at some fancy outdoor patio. Definitely fumbling around for an explanation about him developing a Quirk pretty much out of nowhere.
However, his expectations were turned upside down, because apparently, his father isn’t what he seems, and Izuku doesn’t know what to expect anymore.
What Izuku knows is that the appearance of Midoriya Hisashi triggers a domino effect that sends his whole world toppling down. And honestly, being accused of turning around and becoming a villain is just a bonus. When have life ever passed the chance to fuck him over, anyway?
thoughts: this is, hands down, my favorite fic of the week. i was completely blown away by the sheer concept of the fic. it’s so interesting, and such an original take on “villain” (in a loose sense) Hisashi that i won’t spoil, but it makes for an interesting and tense read. please read this. i absolutely lost it reading this fic.
Get Well Soon by brickboat
gen; 9k; 1/1 complete; jirou & all might
Super hearing can give you access to information that others aren't privy to.
That's not always a good thing.
thoughts: what a mess. i love fics like these that explore what consequences can come with quirks.. like overhearing things you should very much not be hearing.
Oxygen Mask by cinnabee
multi; 2.6k; 1/1 complete; izuku & bakugou (izuku/bakugou)
Static. Smoke. Heat. Katsuki's eyes land on a green lump in the corner, lit up like a ghost by an emergency lantern on the floor a few feet away. Not dreaming. Real. Deku. His fingers squeak across the respirator strapped to his own face. Deku's respirator.
OR: Katsuki wakes up trapped in a burning building with an unconscious partner, very little time, and a borrowed respirator.
thoughts: i’m a fan! [this fic is pre-relationship, so can be read platonically or romantically.]
[rec list continues under the cut]
A Simple Mistake by Silverkleptfox
gen; 5k; 1/1 complete; izuku, iida, & todoroki
It was a basic, run-of-the mill rescue, until a simple mistake from each of the heroes put Todoroki’s life in danger.
thoughts: yes, please! it’s just fun to see how mistakes can blow out of proportion and cause repercussions...
Alexithymia by LunaLucrea
gen; 2.4k; 1/? ongoing; izuku & aizawa
After a relatively benign villain encounter during an off campus lesson, Izuku suddenly feels too much.
thoughts: intriguing start to a new fic! i’ve read the author’s other works before and am extremely excited about this one. quirk-related whump, sign me up.
A Hero for a Villain by ZeroUnitRGB
gen; 3k; 1/1 complete
“With an appearance like that, you must’ve been bullied a lot as a kid.”
Those words had not been used to disparage Shouji’s appearance. Rather, they most certainly came from a place of sympathy. Shouji had a hard time believing they were evidence of the villain’s hypocrisy, but a reflection of his own loneliness. So even though he was a hero student on the opposite path, he’d made a vow back then. And even though it had been years ago, he swore he would see it through.
thoughts: oh, shouji is so underappreciated and this fic is a great look into his character and his thoughts! i really enjoyed it. [contains heroes: rising spoilers]
Mockingbird by angst_goblin
gen; 10.8k; 2/2 complete; izuku & aizawa, izuku & all might, izuku & bakugou, class 1-a
Izuku gets de-aged to 3 years old and Shota Aizawa is really not being paid enough to deal with any of this.
thoughts: while deaging fics are usually not my fare, this fic was an absolute find and such a great read. sweet, soft, angsty, and funny - covers it all and wraps it in a package of tiny deku.
It’s a Long Road (We All Need Help Sometimes) by TDFawkes
gen; 15.7k; chapters 10/31 ongoing; izuku & aizawa, izuku & all might
Aizawa wouldn’t say it to the boy’s face yet, but Midoriya was bound to quite the future in the hero world. Quite the natural.
That being said, Midoriya caused Aizawa many problems while in his class, ranging from slight headaches to near panic attacks.
thoughts: catching up on whumptober fic and i love seeing the whump in this one.
seeing red by pleurer
gen; 819 words; chapters 1/1 complete; izuku & aizawa, kirishima & aizawa
Aizawa wasn’t even surprised to hear the sound of scuffling outside of the dorms at midnight. Disappointed, maybe. But not surprised.
thoughts: a short, nice read.
Revelation by murple
gen; 4.9k; chapters 3/? ongoing
Class 1A has always known there was something different about Midoriya. It was the way All Might was closer to him than any other student. It was the way he rapidly went from having no control over his quirk to being one of the strongest in the class. It was the way he never really talked about his life before UA. It was obvious he was hiding something.
But secrets can only be kept for so long in a class of curious teenagers, especially when one of them has a quirk specially suited for eavesdropping.
OR
All Might and Izuku have another chat. Jirou shares some things that weren't meant to be shared.
thoughts: really enjoyed this one. another messy “jirou overhears something she shouldn’t have” fic, and i like how it’s turning out! i love a good secrets revealed fic.
give me everything you have (and then some) by laurenshappenstobemyboyfriend
gen; 7.1k; 1/1 complete; izuku & shinsou
"Midoriya, which one of these guys do you think you want to manage?" the girl next to him asks. "I think the shadow quirk bird boy looks pretty powerful. I'll try and nab him after this."
Midoriya agrees, but his eyes are drawn to a different boy. The one with the mind quirk that can control anyone. The one that lost on a fluke. The one who everyone else already thinks of as a villain to be.
"I think I'll go for that one," he says, pointing to the purple haired boy. "He looks like he can be something great."
thoughts: oh, i loved this au to bits. this fic turned my heart inside-out. i loved the dynamic, and i loved seeing how management student!izuku differs from canon in both a bittersweet and touching way, and how that changes his path forward. (and his relationship with shinsou).
Nice to Meet You? by Allwalkfree
gen; 9.5k; 11/? ongoing; bakugou & amajiki

To Heal (Shadow of Kyoshi fic)
Chapter 1: The Other Side of Peace
Chapter 2: Master and Student
Chapter 3: A Cause for Celebration
Chapter 4: Taking Off The Mask
Chapter 5: Call to Action
Epilogue
Kirima found herself bending the water coming out of the cracks of the ceiling, trying to add new drops to the shape she was precariously creating. It was a way to pass the time while everyone waited for Hei-ran to show up. Wong tried copying Kirima by collecting floating dust, which was plentiful at the estate’s entrance. It was one of the bigger rooms in the entire complex, which would be more lively with the usual maids doing their work but now appeared like dead space.
Kyoshi was off to the side of the room, her anxiousness stood out among the other bored members of the Flying Opera Company. Out of all of them, she was the one waiting for Hei-ran’s arrival with the most anticipation. Though it didn’t feel like anticipation, more like dread. Dread at having to talk to Hei-ran again but also dread for what Atuat’s diagnosis would be once she finally sat down with Rangi. Kyoshi already took her back to the infirmary since they would be showing up soon, but time kept making the tension of the wait more palpable. The thoughts came running back into her head, so she tried to create a distraction for herself.
Kyoshi saw a puddle created from the rain and tried to bend it. It began to move up in the air for a few moments but limply came back down to the ground. She attempted to move it again but it only yielded the same results. Her fingers began to strain. Something was wrong. She should have easily bent a puddle of this size like it was nothing. Why was it refusing to bend now?
Kirima continued to gather water droplets, oblivious to Kyoshi’s struggle. “So when is the old grouch showing up, we’ve been waiting for hours.”
Wong shrugged, his dust pile along with him. “Maybe they got caught in…..boat traffic?”
Kirima carelessly let the water formation out of the air, splashing into the ground. She pushed her hair back and let out an air of frustration. “Well, I guess its no harm waiting for another few hours,” she spoke sarcastically, more than what was usual for her. “Who knows, maybe she’ll show up busting through those doors right no-”
Before she could finish her sentence, the doors busted open. Everyone in the room flinched in surprise, Wong accidentally flinging his floating dust pile right into his face. At the open doorway stood an ominous silhouette, with a smaller less intimidating silhouette standing behind it. The silhouettes revealed themselves to be Hei-ran and Ataut, both drenched from the rain. Hei-ran looked like she was possessed by the spirit of fear and anger, revealed by her strained stance and a face that could instill terror into the strongest warrior. Atuat smiled and waved at everyone.
Hei-ran looked as though she were about to speak, a very terrifying concept for everyone in the room. Instead, she quickly got out her chalkboard and began writing furiously. After only a few seconds she turned the board around for everyone to see.
“WHERE IS SHE!?”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyoshi could hear part of the one-way argument outside the infirmary. It was hard to hear what was going on since Hei-ran’s scribbling sometimes got louder than Rangi. She barely heard any of what was said except for one key thing: “It wasn’t her fault.”
Her heart sinks. There could be a lot of implications to that, even with context. Kyoshi slumped down on one of the nearby benches, a feeling of defeat across her face. She knew she was done for. Kyoshi promised to protect her daughter with everything she had, and even then she slipped up. She anticipated the berating, being called a menace to her daughter that only puts her in danger.
As those thoughts began arising, she noticed another nearby puddle. She breathed in, reached her hand out, and tried again. The water wouldn’t even budge this time. It felt like hitting a liquid wall, it was impossible and yet it was happening. Her frustration got the better of her as she slammed her fist into the other side of the wooden bench, leaving a massive hole. It took a moment for her to realize what she did. She grimaced while trying to flatten the fragments of the wooden plank back into place. Then she heard the infirmary door open.
Hei-ran appeared from around the corner. She took a look at Kyoshi, then the other side of the bench. She decided standing was fine. They both sat (or in Hei-ran’s case, stood) in silence for many moments.
Kyoshi tried to speak before Hei-ran sped through an entire piece of chalk.
“Before you say anything, Rangi told me the whole story. Including the part where you saved her.”
Kyoshi slowly glanced down at the bottom of the chalkboard.
“And I’m sorry about Yun, you did the right thing.”
That name still opened up wounds for Kyoshi. Even now it was hard for her to accept everything that had happened, that it was now all in the past. Her friend was gone. He was gone a long time ago.
She felt a pat from Hei-ran on her shoulder. She seemed to understand the pain Kyoshi was feeling now, since Yun was also her student. Hei-ran wasn’t one for emotions so something like this meant she was serious. For the years that Kyoshi has known Rangi’s mother, this felt like the most sincere gesture she’s given to her.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyoshi decided to go back to her work as Atuat was starting her checkup on Rangi. When she returned to her workspace, she found Jinpa had left her a pile of letters. Most of them were from diplomats across the Four Nations inviting her to visit their towns and villages. Most of them she would have to decline since her main priority was the situation with Fire Lord Zoryu.
But her mind kept drifting back to Rangi. She was reading the notes but not processing them. Her focus was off, her mind was on other worrying things.
Jinpa came into the room, carrying another sack full of letters and invitations. Kyoshi broke her waning attention on her work, only to grimace at the approaching pile. “Where are all these letters coming from?”
“Well, most of these were from the hideout in Ba Sing Se. We’re just finally getting them sent back here. Sorry if it's a bit…..excessive.”
Kyoshi let out a long sigh as she put down the paper she was holding. “It’s probably for the best, I needed to get this all sorted out anyways. How much more is there?”
“Oh, only five.”
“Five more letters?”
“Oh, no…..five more crates of letters.”
Kyoshi gave Jinpa a piercing stare, one that showed little emotion except for slight annoyance. Jinpa awkwardly smiled tip-toeing backward out of the room.
“I-I’ll be back,” Jinpa pointed his thumb down the hall. “With more…..” He finally exited the doorway.
Kyoshi breathed through her nose and looked back down at the table. She noticed that it was covered in a blanket of documents and invitations. And this wasn’t all of what she had to look through today.
She decided to take a break. Kyoshi began walking down the halls of the estate, heading to the infirmary. While Zoryu was her top priority as the Avatar, Rangi’s health became her top personal priority.
Kyoshi passed by Hei-ran, who was sleeping on the bench that she put a hole through. She was sleeping, but in reality, it looked more like a stiffly adjusted power nap. It must have been the equivalent of sleeping for a military official. She quietly snuck her past the terrifying woman, making it to the infirmary doors before Atuat opened them up.
Kyoshi stopped in her tracks, moving out of the way so Atuat could get some space. She quietly closed the doors and wiped a bit of sweat from her brow.
Kyoshi slightly raised her hand. “So how is sh-”
Atuat put a finger against her lips, signaling for Kyoshi to lower her voice. Kyoshi hunched down and grimaced, not realizing how loud she said that.
“Sorry” she whispered.
“It’s alright kiddo. She's sleeping right now but should be back up in about an hour.”
“I’m surprised how quick it was.”
“Well, when ya know what your doing the process is pretty simple.” She grinned with the same kind of arrogant flair that Rangi would give off.
But that only reminded Kyoshi about the most pressing question. She struggled to come up with the words. She lowered her head, she couldn’t stand to see the sympathetic looks if her worst suspicions come true.
“....Sifu Atuat.” Her voice was shaking before she could even ask.
“Yes sweetie?”
“There's just one more question I have. About her injury. When I first healed her, I wasn’t sure if there was any permanent internal damage. Later on, I had a suspicion that it might be more serious than that, because of how deep the spear had gone in and the chance of infection. Sifu Atuat…..is she going to die?”
The brief period of silence made the wait worse. Kyoshi closed her eyes, her hands turning into fists waiting for the dreadful reply. She had to prepare herself for her worst nightmare to become her reality.
“Nope.”
Kyoshi’s eye shot open. She unbowed her head, her face frozen with confusion.
Atuat could read her confusion as clearly as Hei-ran’s chalkboard. “Oh believe me, I was shocked too. Considering how you described the injury, I thought it would be much more serious. But I made a thorough check and there wasn’t a single puncture to any of her vital organs, or any organs really. To be honest, it doesn’t make much sense to me.”
The wind was knocked out of Kyoshi. She had been expecting the worst for quite some time, so she didn’t really know how to react when something went right for once.
Atuat pointed at Kyoshi, her voice was quick and direct. “Did you do the extraction technique every day, like we talked about in training.”
Kyoshi’s face was still frozen, so she replied with a nod. Atuat stroked her chin, trying to assess the possibilities. The seriousness didn’t last long as she jokingly nudged Kyoshi on the side.
“Maybe the spirits blessed you with some kind of special healing powers.”
The tension broke from Kyoshi’s face, letting out a light chuckle. Atuat joined in.
“But seriously, I don’t know what you did, but it worked. She’s in good health now. The only thing she's got from it is a scar on her back.” Her eyes measured Kyoshi up and down, then she chuckled again. “You know, it looks like you’ve made a fine water healer of yourself.”
Kyoshi breathed a sigh of relief, a relief that was impossible to describe. She didn’t know it then, but she was smiling. It wasn’t like the fake smiles that she had to put on before. She bowed, her hand connecting to her fist. “Thank you, Sifu.”
Atuat ruffled Kyoshi’s hair while she was still bowed. “Oh come on, you don’t always have to call me Sifu.”
It was strange to her, having a Sifu who was more of a friend than a teacher. But at the same time, what she did teach Kyoshi became invaluable when the moment needed it.
She unbowed herself, letting her hair stay ruffled. Atuat darted her eyes at the infirmary doors.
“Come now, I know there's someone you want to see.”

🍄🌻💐🌼 for the ask meme. Either or both characters (or mix-n-match). c: And 💫 for you!
You are a gem, thank you for asking!!
🍄 What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?
For Luca -
I like to imagine that Jacob was low-key the best cook in the family, and that he passed on his secret arts to Luca during their quality time. After he disappeared, Luca was left, more or less, to take care of themself. To make their own dinner, and so on. I’d imagine they’re quite good at traditional, muggle cooking. Their favorite thing to make, and they would do so as a holiday tradition, is Pumpkin Pie. (Treacle Tart got nothing on #BestPie) But as for comfort food, I think it would be as simple as fish n chips, especially since they like any and all things with potato. What really calms them down though, is tea. Chamomile by preference, but any tea will do. They make a habit of drinking it every night before bed.
For Gail -
Gail and Jacob do not get along nearly as well as either of them do with Luca. So Gail would not have learned Jacob’s trade, and while it would still fall to her to take on responsibilities that a child shouldn’t have to, the cooking part would not come nearly so easily to her. Fact: Gail burns everything. Including water. She gets easily stressed out and ultimately resorts to involving magic in her cooking, which, while it is a shortcut, tends to result in everything being tasteless. Gail doesn’t have nearly the sweet tooth that Luca has, but she does have a particular weakness for mint chocolate-chip ice cream. She refuses to cry in front of other people, so she needs some comfortable garbage food for when she inevitably lets it all out. One final note - Gail drinks a lot of coffee. Like, a lot. Usually without sweetener. But it’s a fix for her.
🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?
For Luca -
One of Luca’s greatest strengths lies in their empathy, and how emotionally open they are. As a result, they’re able to notice the minor details in a person, if they spend enough time with them. The way Rowan firmly adjusts their glasses whenever they decide on a new goal. The way Tonks wrinkles her nose when she’s annoyed. Little quirks and habits like that, which help define the people in their life and keep them grounded. Luca lives for the people they’ve grown close to, the found-family that’s been established - especially as they get older and more mature, able to understand the failings and problems of the Fawley family itself. There’s a kind of unique joy in using this observational skill to make their friends feel better, too. Luca often feels like a burden, so if they can engage with a close friend and point out these quirks to them, it can make both parties feel better. Penny having a stressful day? Enter Luca to remind her to take her braids out once classes are over, since she sometimes gets a headache if she keeps them in too long. Chiara has a post-full moon “hangover?” Luca is the one who’s memorized Borf’s schedule and knows where to find them and bring them to her. Little things like this help Luca feel like they’re being helpful, that they belong.
For Gail -
Gail is simultaneously much more outgoing, and far less open. She engages with people but never gets vulnerable. She’s cheerful and pleasant, but only on a surface level. Gail boxes a lot of her emotions because she operates on a mindset of what is useful, and what isn’t. She might be having a terrible day and need to break down, but that wastes time, and doesn’t accomplish anything. So she buries it. Ignoring her anxiety allows her to come off as quite dauntless, but it’s always borrowed time. Sooner or later, she has to let it out. But when she’s alone and lets her emotions out, it can be quite cleansing. Gail has a strange and unhealthy cycle of managing her stress, letting it build up and then expelling it. Usually in private, unless she manages to find a fix, like Quidditch. But she always feels much better after the fact, and it’s these moments that she looks forward too. Watching the stars as the moonlight shines down on her tear-stained face. Getting that first cup of coffee in the morning after a night of sleeping fitfully. If she has a break-down and trashes her room or breaks her possessions…then repairing them and cleaning up everything can be very therapeutic. The satisfaction of catching the Snitch…that’s a high that she can ride for at least the next several hours. To talk about the “little things” that Gail treasures takes one down a dangerous path. Because while she is by no means an addict…she does have that type of personality. She doesn’t drink at all, period. But if she did…not only would she be a lightweight, she’d very much be in danger of becoming dependent, as alluded to, she unconsciously leans on “fixes.”
💐 How does your OC handle being unwell or forced to rest in bed? Who cares for them and in what ways? Does your OC enjoy being doted on or are they a terrible patient? Reversed: is your OC good at taking care of others who are ill or in need?
For Luca -
Poor Luca has an unfortunate pattern of winding up in the Hospital Wing or otherwise in need of medical care. Usually because of varying mental illnesses that the Wizarding World is entirely baffled by. Sadly, Luca eventually gets somewhat used to waking up in an Infirmary. While I wouldn’t say they enjoy being doted on at all, I also wouldn’t call them a terrible patient - but it just depends on who’s treating them. Being taken care of is partially a relief, but it also invokes Luca’s fear that they are a burden and their sense that they don’t deserve the care they’re getting. As for who would take care of them, I again have to give reference to the ultimate squad, the badger squad. Very likely, assuming it wasn’t Madam Pomfrey or other teachers, Luca would be cared for by Rowan, Penny, Chiara, and Tonks. Post-Year Five, throw Ben in as well. If it was their friends, whom they adore and respect, Luca would likely be a lot more comfortable. If it was the staff of Hogwarts, barring Flitwick, Luca would be very antsy and want to whole ordeal to be over with. They do not trust the majority of their teachers at all.
Flipping the situation in reverse, we see Luca at their strongest. They were born to be a caretaker, of any sort. To tend to magical creatures, to teach younger, less experiences students..and yes, to heal the sick and the wounded. Granted, Luca doesn’t entirely have the skill-set for Healing, since they’re abysmal at Herbology and only passable at Potions. But both of Luca’s parents were Healers, so they naturally picked up a few things. The main strength they have in looking after those in need really comes from their attitude. Luca is endlessly patient and forgiving to a fault. They might fail in a number of other situations, but this? This is where they shine.
For Gail -
Bringing things back around, being bed-ridden or otherwise incapacitated is going to have a strong impact on Gail, but it might depend on the context whether it brings out the best in her, or the worst. Because this girl needs a rest. There is no denying that she could really use a break, but she also occupies herself and distracts herself from her pain by keeping busy. She doesn’t really know how to not be busy. Grinding that to a halt could have unforeseen side-effects. It just depends mainly on how bad her anxiety is. The loss of control will either be a panic-button, or a source of immense relief. Though Gail will never admit is, she actually does like being doted on. She likes getting that kind of attention and being made to feel loved. Suffice it to say, her primary mentors and care-givers never gave her that love. So she craves it without even understanding that she craves it. Meanwhile, Gail has a squad of her own - mainly Rowan, Badeea, Talbott, Barnaby, and on occasion, Ben. If even one of them found her in a less than ideal state, they would not rest until she was well again. However, unlike Luca, Gail has a lot of respect for the staff, and a particular bond with McGonagall. She highly respects Dumbledore, and authority figures in general. So she would feel safe no matter who was in charge of her care.
Gail as a Healer or someone in charge of another person’s care…is again, a situation that would depend highly on the context. Gail is driven and tries to keep things professional, but she deals with emotional context just like anyone else. She has the skill-set that Luca does not. She got Outstandings on all the O.W.L.s that Healers want, and she earned those marks. But what she’s lacking is that inherent sense of kindness and mercy. How careful Gail would be as a caretaker would depend on how much she cared about her patient. If it was someone she didn’t really know, she would likely want to outsource it. If it was someone she disliked or hated…it would be a battle with her own integrity, but she might be inclined to refuse. But if it was Ben who was in trouble? Or Badeea, or Talbott? You better believe Gail would push everyone else aside and take control of the situation herself. She also values family above all else, so if it were Luca or Jacob, she would regard it as her obligation to see things through - no matter what her feelings might be.
🌺 What does your OC do to calm down when they’re scared or after a nightmare? Do they have any special comfort items or need to be reassured by a specific person? How do they handle this if they’re alone?
For Luca -
(It’s like this question was made for the Fawleys.) Luca has, and has always had, severe issues with sleeping. Such problems were exacerbated by a near-death experience with a Lethifold when they were young. It gave them claustophobia, insomnia, and an irrational fear of cloth. They would have night terrors, nightmares, and sleep paralysis. The only thing that pacified these issues was putting an end to sleeping alone. As far back as first year, Luca and their Hufflepuff squad devised a sleeping cycle, where they would partner up to share beds in the night. Had to keep it low-key, since most people wouldn’t get that it was platonic, but it worked wonders. I don’t know if I would say Luca is an extravert, as they definitely don’t seem like the type - but with the right people, they can emotionally heal and deal with things much easier. They’re able to figure things out with their friends, particularly Rowan. I don’t know that I would say they have any comfort items, but they do have “Beatrice Jr” the stuffed puffskein that Beatrice made for them. And they also have a furry, purring companion who is always guarding them. Talking to their loves ones to figure everything out is Luca’s go-to after a mental breakdown or a nightmare. But if they find themselves alone…they’ll either write an unsent letter to someone in their family, or go for a walk. Usually winding up in the Creature Reserve.
For Gail -
As I alluded to, she has the unfortunate habit of putting everything in boxes. To keep herself grounded, Gail will frantically try to normalize everything. Come up with an explanation for her issues, even if the explanation is unsound…or she’ll label the issue as a physical problem that needs to be dealt with, and take immediate steps to make that happen. Gail is a low-key control freak with a pathological need to have all of her struggles, well, under control. She manages, because she can’t not manage or admit to herself that she’s drowning. As a result, she rarely asks for help, except from the very small list of people she’s willing to cry in front of. Which consists of family, Ben, and maybe someone like Badeea. Though Gail chooses to isolate herself in dealing with anxiety, it isn’t helping and she knows it. She just can’t admit to herself that she’s desperate for someone to ask if she’s okay, or hug her just a bit longer than needed…because she knows that she’ll burst into tears if someone does. To that end, I think the best thing for Gail would be just that. For her to be reassured by those she trusts, and to be shown that it’s not the end of the world if she lets someone else in. Fun fact, she actually does have a comfort object. Wearing the key to her school trunk around her neck at all times, to prevent anyone from breaking into it - which has happened before. Waking up from a nightmare and grabbing onto the key until it digs into her skin and draws blood…again, it grounds Gail. Helps her slowly come down from an anxiety attack.
💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?
Gonna discuss them both at once for this one. Frankly, I think my favorite thing about the Fawley twins is that I ended up writing them as twins. In many ways, they feel like two sides of the same coin to me. This is because, while I have several AUs stewing in my head, I keep finding myself reluctant to actually write one where Luca and Gail were raised together. In almost every idea I have, they grew up separately, and didn’t meet until young adulthood. It almost feels like an instrumental, fundamental part of their dynamic. That they yearn for the companionship and connection of having a twin sibling…but they don’t really get that. After all, a twin is a free best friend, right? Well, no. Gail and Luca are similar in some ways, but different in the ways that really matter. They have different values, different habits, different ways of approaching life. They get on each other’s nerves. But ultimately, they do get along. It just depends on the timeline. But I also think it’s telling that Luca adores Jacob and Gail…does care about him, but only because he’s family. She pretty much can’t stand him. Likewise, she can’t stand Tulip, who Luca has always had a soft spot for. She’s much more lawful and has faith in specific values. She’s a pragmatist. Luca keeps things open, and judges things on a case by case basis. Gives peopel the benefit of the doubt. They’re an idealist.
Luca and Gail aren’t polar opposites, but they’re not Fred and George either.
Oh boy. That was a lot of fun. Thank you so much!!

to all the villains i’ve loved before: part one
so since tumblr decided to be evil today, i’ve decided to just make this post about the top five villains that i love and save it periodically as much as i possibly can so that i don’t lose anything i say. i’m upset i lost so much that i said about a few of these characters in particular because it was all very heartfelt and loving but you know. you win some, you lose some!
if you all like this i can make a few more posts because i have plenty of villains that i’ve loved in my lifetime that i will not shut up about. plus, some are just funny little mei stories of me being morally conflicted as a child over whether or not it was acceptable for me to have a crush on this character or not
surprise surprise! i grew out of that phase eventually but i would like to caution everyone that these are villains. they have done horrible things but i do not condone their actions by any means.
now that we have that out of the way, here comes me being extremely soft over five chaotic bastards for as long as it takes me to explain how much i love them. which i never will be able to. so i guess here’s a condensed version of why i love them? i don’t know! all i know is that this will be long and soft and loving so strap yourselves in.
1. sano kojima
well, this one comes with a bit of a story!
one night, my friend and i were talking and she was telling me about this fanfic she was working on! she let me read a bit of it and i was immediately interested in it, and asked her to link me to it when she was done and she posted it on ao3! so she did but, alongside that link, she told me that i’d probably actually enjoy the game she wrote about if i enjoyed the fanfic she wrote that much and sent me the link to the game he was from, saying that i’d like a different character from it. me, having absolutely no idea what i was getting into but trusting my friends to know my tastes entirely, decided to play it!
and that’s how i fell in love with sano!
i can’t say if it was just how late at night it was that made me fall for him so hard or if i was just particularly lonely then or whatever, but all i know is that i don’t think there’s a single other character that i’ve fallen this hard for in my entire lifetime (though mello is definitely a close second, which i think says something). i actually got insanely pissed off when i got one of his bad endings the first time i played it because i thought i was doing pretty well! all things considered, he seemed to actually like me, which rarely happens whenever i have to impress a character in a game romantically because i suck, but it just felt like everything was going well! and considering the type of game it is, well, i think it’s easy to see why i was so shocked. however when i got the bad ending, i looked up cheats straight away and fixed my only mistake and got one of his good endings and the rest is really history! that very night i actually started writing a fic about him, not one of the two that are posted (and please, never read the one i wrote with my best friend. it’s so bad. i regret it), but i still go back and reread it time to time because it holds a special place in my heart.
i cannot express my love for sano in a single tumblr post - let alone, one he has to share with a few other characters i love to bits - but i can try my best! i think a part of it is that i’ve never really had someone as stable and mature as him in my life, so i kind of latched onto that part of his personality for dear life. he’s very blunt in the way he deals with your feelings, that much is true, but it’s not blunt in a very condescending way? it’s just like, “yeah, we all feel like this sometimes, and it’s okay” which was? definitely not something i was expecting from his character? he’s very shy which is super cute - he actually gets all flustered in the beginning if you say you want to learn more about him, and asks why you’d want to know more about him, which i adore - and his blushing face... god it’s adorable. i always imagine his laugh and his voice to be really soothing too. i’ve written about both of them so often they feel more real than my own headcanons at this point, but it makes me soft. not to mention he’s just hot. he’s a sadist, i don’t know if i mentioned that, and some of his lines... they really speak to me. the things he does to you in the game aren’t, uh, very nice but i rather enjoyed them. he even has a sense of humor which is surprising? in one of his routes he just makes jokes with you the entire time which is so sweet. he’s very caring, too. he might injure you but he takes insanely good care of your wounds afterwards, and tries to make sure you’re not in too much excessive pain beyond what he inflicts on you, which is adorable. god he’s adorable just thinking about this is making me all soft. did i mention that he’s also half snake demon? because he is! he’s always cold which is why he lights a fire at one point in the game, to keep himself warm, but he’s very shy about his actual demon form which is so cute... i love him with all of my heart, okay? i forgot to say he’s a doctor. well, i don’t think he’s a legal doctor, considering his age, but he sure is smart like one. and i rather love intelligence in a character so it’s astonishing to me. i’m gonna stop rambling because this will just be a post where i talk about how much i love sano for five hours straight but point is: i love him.
2. victor vale
victor’s rather new to my life - i only just read vicious for the first time last year, and i’m rereading it now and it’s been a blast - but he’s definitely wormed his way into my heart.
victor’s just powerful. that’s the best way i can describe him, both with the actual power he has and his own personality, and it’s so absolutely mesmerizing. some of the lines written in regards to his character, whether it be his dialogue or internal monologue, just carry this energy to them that’s so insanely powerful? that’s such a bad way to describe it, but really, there aren’t many words i’ve found that can fully encapsulate the sheer badass nature of “victor vale was not a fucking sidekick.” i didn’t mention that - he broke out of prison just so he could defeat his ex-best friend from college, eli ever, after being in prison for ten years - and if that isn’t dedication, i don’t know what is. you have to keep in mind, eli’s invincible. his power is literally regeneration. while victor might be able to manipulate pain, even he can’t kill someone who regenerates. but he wants to try. all he cares about is the chance to make eli hurt, to make him scream and pay for the hell he put him through and his self-righteousness that’s caused him to become a serial killer, and that’s what i love so much. he’s cold, intelligent, and ruthless - three of my favorite traits in any villain, but that’s not all! he’s actually a bit soft, deep down! he “adopts” a girl named sydney throughout the course of the novel, as well as a dog named dol, whom he raises alongside his cellmate he escaped with from prison named mitch. they’re such a chaotic little family but i love them to death, and victor’s actually sweet to all of them, in his own way. not to mention that he’s still not over the death of the only girl he ever loved, angie, even if he inadvertently caused her death himself. i don’t know. he’s just awesome. and such a badass. and i love him. and he was a med student so bonus points to him for that!
3. kaz brekker
oh goodness gracious, kaz brekker. i read six of crows last year and i cannot tell you the amount of feelings i had for most of the cast without becoming a giant mess because wow did leigh bardugo write some very attractive characters but kaz was the one who just screamed my type. he’s the entire reason i actually decided to read six of crows and i’m not mad about that decision in the slightest because wow did i fall hard for kaz brekker. he’s sort of one of those self-proclaimed “businessmen” who scams people out of money because he can, which makes sense considering that’s how he wound up losing his brother at a young age, but the way he goes about it... well, it’s interesting, to say the least. his dialogue specifically is just amazing. especially when he’s flirting a bit with his love interest, inej, which in the beginning is just over-dramatic fake flirting but it’s adorable. he calls her his darling inej and my heart about melted. i should mention that he always dresses obnoxiously nice, the majority of people in ketterdam are poor and struggling, which is a bonus. and he has leather gloves. he’s wonderful because he’s such a badass - this bastard has a limp and can fight like nobody’s business - yet he cares about his little team. as much as he might hate to admit it, he does have a fondness for each of them in his heart, which i find sweet. not to mention his entire motivations for becoming as ruthless as he is revolve around his brother who succumbed to the plague that kaz himself survived at age ten, leaving him alone in ketterdam with nobody to rely on but himself. he’s such a fighter and i love that so much about him. he took his scars and turned them into revenge and i think that’s one of his strongest points as a character, his dedication to screwing over the man who screwed him over. i just love kaz brekker i can’t take it he’s gorgeous and deserves the world.
4. mello
and here’s the only character who i’ve ever possessed a love for that’s even slightly comparable to that i feel for sano.
mello... where do i even begin? mello was another character i found at just the right point in my life. he’s the one who taught me what an inferiority complex was and showed me how bad my own was, but made me understand exactly why it was i loved villains so much. because they make their own decisions, regardless of if they’re immoral or not. i admire anyone who has the courage that it takes to be like, “no. i’m not going to become who you thought i was” and strive to be better than they were expected to be, to become more. mello was the first time i really saw that expressed in such a painfully raw way emotion wise so i wound up rooting for him to beat near and light and become the winner in this messed up game that was happening. sadly, as most of you probably know mello’s fate, that is not what wound up happening and needless to say, i was heartbroken about it. mello is truly one of the characters who i will say deserved better. it’s not often that i think a villain deserves a happy ending but goddammit, mello did. he deserved so much better. he was constantly compared to near and shamed for his impulsiveness and it just broke my heart to see how much he was internally struggling to become the best. when i realized that near used him in his own plan, i was so beyond pissed off.
mello is attractive. he’s badass - he rides a motorcycle, wears pretty much all leather, has such an attractive voice, and not to mention just carries himself in a way that i’m so drawn to - but i love him for so much more than just that. i love him because of what he represents - of who he represents - and i truly wish that more people fully understood his character because he is one of the most relatable villains i’ve found so far. i don’t know. i still have so many strong feelings towards him and miss him so, so much every single time i think about him.
5. laito sakamaki
i’m gonna be honest with all of you here and say i cannot figure out, for the absolute life of me, why in the world i love laito sakamaki. he doesn’t fit my type at all? in the slightest? there’s nothing about him that would scream mei’s favorite diabolik lovers character? if anything, reiji should be my favorite but alas, while he is very attractive looks wise, his personality drives me up a wall. laito actually used to be probably my least favorite out of the boys alongside reiji, but i randomly warmed up to him recently and i’m glad(?) about that decision. he’s a mess. he’s so flirtatious and does not know by any means what personal space is and is just very forward with yui, to say the least, but i’ll be damned if this vampire boy does not have one of the hottest voices on the planet. daisuke hirakawa actually is going to voice lucien, a hot doctor from a different dating sim, in an upcoming anime adaptation of said game which i am very excited about because god does this man have a fantastic voice... laito’s just such an asshole and maybe that’s why i love him? maybe i love the way that he’s persistently awful and so flirtatious in the way that he is awful? then there’s the church scene in the anime which... if you have not scene the church scene, that’s probably for the best but his dialogue in that scene ruined me. everything about that scene ruined me. i could barely breathe watching that scene because it is one of the most attractive things i have ever seen in my entire life and i adore it.
#mei rambles#jesus christ this took longer than i thought#i hope you enjoy?#i guess?#i don't really know this post is a HOT mess

British LegendsxPokémon
Ladies of the Lake
I know in Swsh there will no longer be mega-evolution and an international dex, I choose to believe that Gamefreak did this for gameplay mechanics because Pokémon lore and gameplay are different. This is also my FanFiction, so I can fix it how I want.
Inspiration for the teams: Whatever I didn’t give Lancelot and I like you. (I have five water type master and neither one of them share a Pokémon… and there’s more to spare. There are so many water Pokémon)
In this story, the Lady of the Lakes are Druids, like Merlin. Druids are like spiritual professors. They give advice to young trainers. They tell stories. They speak with Pokémon. They know magic. They live in magical areas, the Ladies of the Lake live in or on the lake. And they give you your first Pokémon. There is a magical ceremony where they call upon a Mythical Pokémon and they use their mythical magic give you a Pokémon egg, which could be any Pokémon because it’s chosen through magic. So like Arthur gets a special shiny Growlith, others like Lancelot gets the most common Pokémon of them all, Magikarp (literally is the most common Pokémon). So, I will give you which Mythical Pokémon is connected with each Lady.
Lady of the Lake 1
The one who gives Arthur Excalibur
She is the most powerful of all the Lady of the Lakes, she is only second in power after Merlin. She is the keeper of Excalibur, the ancient sword forged in Annwen and only given to chosen of the legendaries of Galar. Honestly, Excalibur is a nice mix of both legendaries, it’s the best offense since it’s a powerful sword that can cut through anything but the scarber is best defense one can ask for since it heal you. Anyway, when Zacian chooses Arthur as his champion, they (assuming Zacian will be genderless like most legendaries) bring him to this Lady of the Lake.
Swarmpert is the muscles protecting the entrance of the lake. I’m imagining the only way you can get to it is through a waterfall, think the entrance to El Dorado in the Road to El Dorado. When the Lady needs she will mega evolve him.
Slowking talks with the ones allowed to enter. He also has control over the other Pokémon and is often used as a translator.
I like Kingler and giant crab that can crush diamond is nice protection (Shellder’s shell is as hard as diamond and it’s said that his big claw can crush Shellder’s shell.).
Araquanid is cool and if I saw it I would runaway. A+ protection.
Octillery is a tank but as an octopus Pokémon. It’s good at protecting magical swords.
Hail Helix. ‘Nough said.
The mythical Pokémon that comes when she is called is Volcanion. No explanation, I just think it’s cool that she can call about Volcanion which makes me think that she is always surrounded by steam and fog. Or you know she is coming because the whole place becomes foggy and then she walks in and the fog dissipates.
Lady of the Lake 2
Vivianne aka Lancelot’s foster mother
She is most famous for stealing Lancelot away and raising him. She’s least powerful of these three Ladies of the Lake. She tends to prefer making enchanted items staying on her island raising her son to be a good knight. She is convinced that Lancelot will be the best Pokémon Knight out there, that she spends her time training him. She eventually tells him of his family and sends him off on his quest. I’m making her a proud mother who likes to spy on her child with a Beauty and the Beast Style magic mirror. She also gives him tons of magical items to protect him.
Apparently despite making me laugh every time I see this poor thing, Mega-Slowbro is an amazing tank. So, One of Lancelot’s greatest achievements is beating her Mega-Slowbro.
For some reason the water starters were the hardest to give out until I remember hey there are Ladies of the Lake. Guess who gets this awesome crocodile? You do.
It’s a water fairy, I had to give one to one of these ladies.
I got a magical feeling from Whismcash. Though, I admit if there was a salmon Pokémon I would have given her that Pokémon first, because of the salmon of knowledge.
Golisopod is cool. Do I need to give me reason then that?
We need more electric/water Pokémon, it’s such a cool pairing. Anyway, Lancelot might borrow Lanturn from time to time.
Manaphy>Phione.
Lady of the Lake 3
Nimue aka the one that defeats Merlin
Nimue, the student of Merlin who then defeated him and trapped him. She’s not evil, she does love learning and bragging that she overtook Merlin as the main priest of Arthur’s court. So, while Lady of the Lake 1 is the most powerful and the leader, Nimue is the one that has the most interactions with non-Ladies of the lake.
Her main baby is Blastoise, her first Pokémon. He is protective of her and will do whatever he wants her to do.
Floatzel is playful and when Nimue wants to be dramatic and extra mystical/fae, she’ll use him to lead people to her.
I am assuming Drednaw does not evolve into something. It doesn’t look like it has an evolution nor does the website blurb give me evolution vibes. And the website I use to make this team doesn’t have any Swsh Pokémon yet. So that’s why Drednaw looks weird. Anyway, I saw when this Pokémon came out and I’m like let’s give you to one of the ladies of the lake. Nimue is powerful enough to tame him.
I gave every Lady a water/ground Pokémon because why not. It’s nice protection against those electric Pokémon. And has the youngest of the ladies, she gets the derpy one.
Swanna doesn’t get enough love. So, let’s give her some love.
Starmie is awesome. ‘Nough said.
Little Kaldeo is the main Mythical of the youngest of the Ladies. They are power yet young, like Nimue.
EDIT
Lady of the Lake 4
The one with beef with Balin
I don’t want to kill off the strongest Lady of Lake and it makes more sense if I separated her and the first Lady of the Lake. Now, after she is beheaded by Balin le Sauvage, Arthur takes the Pokémon and keeps them in his menagerie. He likes to troll people with a buff Bibarel. Also, Bruxish terrifies poachers. After the destruction of Camelot, they come with Morgana to Avalon.
Sure, I forgot about her and made her team of the Pokémon I had yet to put in a team in three minutes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love these Pokémon.
Golduck wasn’t given away because I had too many Kanto Pokémons on teams. So perfect timing. And it makes sense a Lady of the Lake would have a Kappa based Pokémon.
I love you Bibarel.
Gorebyss is wicked. Seriously, those Pokémon Dex entries are terrifying. That’s the face of a monster. And it’s pink and pretty. It works well with a Fae master.
Pelipper, I miss you (my Pelipper died on my ORAS nuzlock).
Ummm, okay the two others were given away because I didn’t know what else to do with them.
Previous in series: Gym Leaders part 4
Next in series : Maid Marion (Leaving Arthuriana for a post and going back to my normal format)

BNHA Angst Week
Day 1: Betrayal // Apologies
No. No. This can’t be. Pichu and Shitty Hair can’t be the traitors. They can’t be. They just can’t be. They can’t. No...
“Goodbye, Bakugou, Midoriya.” Kaminari shoots a bolt of lighting from his fingers like a gun. The impact launches both boys out of the window.
They land on something that cushions their fall. They both hears voices around them, asking if they’re alright, what happened, and so on. But neither take note.
Izuku hears someone that sounds like Aizawa and Yagi, while Katsuki notices when Deku starts moving. Katsuki follows.
Aizawa pinches the bridge of his nose, a report clutched in one hand. Various coffee mugs litter his desk, his hair tied in a messy bun. Aizawa sighs, before looking back at the papers.
That mission wasn’t supposed to end this way.
It was supposed to be a simple disaster relief rescue op. A mere misfire of a child’s newly manifested Quirk. Right?
It was supposed to be the students going in to get people out of the area and taking them to the paramedics. The younger students farther from the danger while the older ones were closer. Pros were littered around the area so no villain could come in to attack them.
That’s how it was supposed to go, right?
Wrong.
The attack was rigged. The misfire occured in a kindergarten, but it wasn’t a child who caused it.
It was a Nomu. A Nomu that disappeared not long after the ‘misfire.’
Once the Pros and interns were sent out, the attack started. Nomu, newer, better, stronger, faster, all came out and started rampaging. Every Pro sent out to help with the rescue immediately switched gears to fight off the beasts while the students continue the rescue.
What was the league after this time?
To put it simple, here’s what happened and here’s what they wanted.
One of the builds the problem children’s team was suppose to check apparently housed a researcher and they were tasked with getting any USBs or files they found to the Pros immediately.
Kirishima found a USJ that was labeled ‘Quirk...’ the rest of the text was faded. The USJ could’ve contained information ranging from Quirk records of civilians or even Pros. To new findings in Quirk research.
Kirishima wouldn’t put it in the case they were given to store important files.
That’s when Kurogiri appeared, and Kaminari and Kirishima revealed themselves to be traitors. Kaminari attacked Bakugou and Midoriya soon after, launching them out the window.
Thankfully, there was a Pro on the scene that specializes in saving people when they jump or fall out of buildings. If it wasn’t for them saving Midoriya and Bakugou, everyone would’ve thought that Kaminari and Kirishima were simply kidnapped while Midoriya and Bakugou were killed by the fall.
It’s been a week since Shadow Strike and Black Berserker betrayed U.A.. Everyone in class 1-A was trying to cope with the information.
The fact that Kaminari, the electrifying lovable idiot, and Kirishima, the guy with the soft heart but a strong Quirk, betrayed them... It was painful. It made no sense. That means their friendship with them was all a lie? A tool used to further increase their credibility as a regular student?
Many of them felt so stupid and used. All of them became quieter than usual, more hesitant to talk or socialize.
Ashido and Jirou spend most of their time in their rooms, no one knows what they do in there but Sero and Yaoyorozu each visit Ashido and Jirou respectfully.
Todoroki was more distant than even before the sports festival.
Iida was almost completely silent.
But the ones hit hardest by this are Bakugou, Midoriya, and Aizawa.
Bakugou and Midoriya were there that day. The day those two revealed themselves to be the traitors.
Bakugou’s first real friends turned out to have just been using him. While Midoriya feels an all too familiar sense of betrayal when all of his peers, except maybe Kacchan, left him behind when he was found to be Quirkless.
Aizawa was the one to get it out of them, and he was the one who had to tell the other students. He had grown to care and, dare I say it, love these kids— his kids so, so much in less than a year of knowing each other. To know not just one, but two of them were traitors and they slipped right under his radar... not to mention... they hurt Midoriya and Bakugou, not just physically... if the look in their eyes once they were found was an indicator...
Everyone else in U.A. felt... not pity. No— sympathy for the class. The class that almost all of the first years started to loath, has all of U.A.’s support. Even Monoma from class B came over to try and comfort them along with the rest of class B and Kan-sensei.
One day during another joint training session between both hero courses, Midoriya snaps.
“Midoriya!” Aizawa exclaims, activating his Quirk.
CRACK!
A huge dent is made it the wall. Even without the strength of his Quirk, Midoriya made a dent in the wall five times bigger than his own fist.
Next to Midoriya, Bakugou had his legs close to his chest. A few tears rolling down his face.
“Why,” Izuku whispers, not looking up from when he punched the wall. No one makes an attempt to answer, but they know someone has to.
Eventually, Iida steps forward.
“Mi- Midoriya-kun... they were working for the leag—”
“That’s not what I fucking meant!” He growls. Everyone takes a step back, because Midoriya’s shouting and Bakugou’s crying. Did what happen hit them hard enough for their personalities to change?
“Then,” Uraraka mutters, stepping forward, “Then what do you mean... Deku-kun?”
“I mean why the fuck did I see hesitance in their eyes when they betrayed us?! Why did Kirishima not look at anyone in the eye during that?! Why did it seem like Kaminari was actually surprised that Katsuki and I felt betrayed?! Why did it seem like I still saw my friends in them?!” Izuku readies his other fist to punch the wall, but is stopped by a weak tug at his shirt.
Kacchan.
Katsuki looks up to Izuku, and everyone flinches back. Because Katsuki looks so hurt, broken, and vulnerable.
It feels wrong. So, so wrong.
They shouldn’t see one of the strongest people in their class— in their grade look so small, broken, and hurt. Because if he’s falling apart, then...
The sparking rage around Izuku dissipates, like the energy from his Quirk.
“Kacchan...” The anger in his eyes simmers down to a deep sadness that pulls at their heartstrings. The person with the brightest smile shouldn’t look that miserable.
“How do you think I feel? The first real friends I had since you turn out to be fucking traitors!” Katsuki snaps, his voice broken and cracking from his tears, “...it doesn’t help that they looked as if they didn’t want to betray us. As if they actually cared.”
Class was dismissed early.
Class 1-A and 1-B had a joint class movie night with their teachers and some other students that wanted to watch (well, mainly to comfort the 1-A kids). Izuku and Katsuki sat on opposite sides of Toshinori, the man in question having an arm slung around each boys’ shoulder. The two boys fall asleep on Toshinori’s shoulders.
It’s the first time they’ve properly slept since that incident.
Eijirou looks into the window and his heart twist painfully in his chest. His hair is back to being it’s plain black colour to better blend with the darkness he now roams in.
Someone walks behind him, and Eijirou turns. It’s Denki.
“You ready?”
Eijirou shakes his head, before looking to the ground, “Do you regret it? Leaving?”
Denki pauses, before placing a hand on Eijirou’s shoulder, “I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss them. But we’ve chosen our faith...” Denki chuckles, it’s dry and deprecating, sad almost, “Looong before we even met them...”
Eijirou looks back into the dorms, “I wish... things had been different...”
Denki nods, eyes shifting to the dorms, “So do I, but alas, the world isn’t as kind as we wish... we can’t turn back now...”
Eijirou locks eyes with Denki. Yes we can.
Denki shakes his head. No. Don’t.
Denki turns and walks off, “Let’s go.”
Eijirou nods, taking one last long look at his class.
They’re all snuggled together on the couch floor, some of them snuggling with the other students from other classes.
Aizawa was sleeping near Bakugou and Midoriya’s feet in his signature yellow sleeping bag, with Shinsou was lying on the floor next to him. No blanket, just a pillow as he was doing the ‘draw me like one of your french girls pose’ as he looked at the TV. Seeming to have dozed off.
Uraraka and Todoroki were leaning on Midoriya, same with Bakugou but with Ashido and Sero leaning on him. Both pairs clearly trying to comfort their friend, even in their sleep. They were always so kind and caring.
Everyone else was sprawled across random pieces of furniture or leaning on other people. Monoma was sleep on Vlad King’s shoulder while Tetsutetsu was lying on Monoma’s stomach. Jirou and Yaomomo were curled together with Kendou in a fluffy blanket cocoon. Neijire and Mirio were leaning back to back on each other, with Tamaki being held to Mirio’s chest.
Ejirou turns with tears falling from his eyes. The class dozing soundly as the movie closes off.
A breeze blows by, whispering sweet lies to their ears.
They’ve made their choice. But who’s to say they can’t make another one?
Change fate you two. Twist the future. Make it better.
Brighter.
You can do it.
Heroes.
Eijirou and Denki pause, before shaking their heads.
Foolish of them to think they could ever be heroes, right?

55. Dorimuchimu
read the scarecrow and the bell on ao3
index | from the beginning | < previous | next >
I've said it once, I've said it twice, I've said it a thousand fucking times That I'm OK, that I'm fine, that it's all just in my mind But this has got the best of me, and I can't seem to sleep It's not 'cause you're not with me, it's 'cause you never leave -It Never Ends, Bring Me The Horizon
Four days had passed before Rei had the courage to face Naru again. She awoke far too early with a fire in her belly, an anxiety, that she needed to quench. Without a second of hesitation, she slipped on her shoes and raced toward the cemetery.
It was ANBU custom that a shinobi destroy their body before death so as to prevent the enemy from getting ahold of valuable information. After all, you can glean just as much from a dead body as you can a living one. Therefore, Naru was never even buried but rather memorialized in some sort of bogus mock grave. Quite frankly, it made Rei sick but she presumed she would rather have a fake grave than nothing at all. It took her some time to actually find it but when she did, she immediately realized how terrible of a decision she had made.
Despite there not even being a body, she felt as if she had to tread carefully so as to not stand directly over where Naru’s corpse would’ve been. She swore she had heard something somewhere about that being bad, though she wasn’t quite sure why. Maybe it was bad luck. Whatever. It wasn’t important. She knelt down before the gravestone, her fingers tracing over her etched name, and then slapped her hand hard in hopes of waking up from this terrible nightmare. It was too surreal, none of this could possibly be happening. Maybe if she just squeezed her eyes shut tight enough and said a bunch of words backwards, she would reverse time and Naru would come bounding up behind her with that new hairstyle she was contemplating. They would stop for food and laugh and gossip and everything would be as it was once more. But that was stupid. No amount of wishing was ever going to change things back. Death was finite, irrevocable. There was nothing she could do.
She couldn’t tell whether it had been hours or mere minutes when a voice suddenly spoke to her from behind. “Fancy seeing you here, Carrots” it called, and Rei recognized it immediately. She turned slowly, catching Sekkachi staring down at her. Backlit by a blinding sun, she looked almost demonic.
“Can I not pay my respects?” Rei said sourly as she turned back around. She caught Sekkachi approach in her periphery and set a small bouquet of flowers down before the grave. They knelt there in silence for a long while, an uneasiness hanging in the air. Without Naru to bind them, Rei and Sekkachi felt out of place and awkward. “It still doesn’t feel real” Rei murmured, breaking the silence. “None of this feels real.”
“Yeah, well, get used to it” Sekkachi spat. Despite the hostility of her words, there was a fragile undercurrent to her tone. Defeatist, cynical, heartbroken.
Rei shook her head, an airy laugh breaking past her lips. “To think, we were the strongest kunoichi team of our generation…”
“The Dream Girls” Sekkachi replied, slightly bitter.
“Dorimuchimu” Rei said. That word held so much weight to it, so much meaning both positive and negative. She wondered how Chikara-sensei felt about all of this. Losing one of your students, even if they had long ago graduated from your tutelage, no doubt stung. If they could only go back to those old days when they were young and naïve, so full of life and high spirits. The weight of other’s harsh criticism didn’t feel quite so heavy. They were destined to fail, and yet exceeded every expectation.
An all-girls team can’t possibly get any work done, they would say. They’re so weak. That’s too much estrogen for one team. It was a wonder none of them ever quit, but they all had their reasons to pursue a career like this. And they had Chikara: a powerhouse of a woman, tall and thick and tan. She accepted them as if they were her own children. Whatever their faults in the personal sphere didn’t matter. The only thing that was important now was teamwork, and damn were they a perfect combination. The very things that people argued would destine them for failure only contributed to their success. Tiny Rei was the sly spy, chatty Naru the intelligent deceiver, and aggressive Sekkachi the brute force. Soon their names were known across the five great nations: Chikara’s Dream Girls. Short-lived ecstasy.
“Feels so anticlimactic” Rei murmured, reminiscing about it all. “Falling apart like this.”
“No” Sekkachi countered, “No, we fell apart way before any of this.” As much as she respected the good things, Sekkachi was not blind to the reality of their formation. They were little girls with power, but also imperfections. That was the trouble with growing up—it also entailed growing apart and growing against. The very things that strengthened them as comrades only weakened them as friends. They were destined to fail from the very start.
It was true that their progress, as well, was a point of contention. Where Rei and Naru excelled into the ANBU, Sekkachi was never given the privilege. Lord Third only ever promoted her as far as “specialized jonin,” which for all intents and purposes didn’t mean shit. Just a coat of gold paint on a cheap plastic knock off as if to make it feel shiny and worthwhile. In the end, it didn’t mean anything.
Rei shook her head. “Don’t say that” she whispered. “Something like that would make Naru mad.”
“Well, Naru isn’t here anymore, Rei!” Sekkachi suddenly exploded, leaping to her feet. “It’s not like she can hear us!” Taken aback, Rei turned to her slowly, her heart pounding. Sekkachi’s face was growing redder by the second. She was teetering on the verge of madness after having held herself back for far too long.
“Sekkachi, please….” Rei whispered, slowly standing herself. She really didn’t want to do this. Not right now. “This isn’t the right place to argue—”
“As if it’s your place to say!” Sekkachi shouted. “If it wasn’t for you, Naru would still be here!”
Her words were like a kunai to the chest. Rei staggered backwards, suddenly breathless. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. Her entire body went numb. After a few moments of gasping and glitchy recalculating, she finally choked out, “I-I didn’t mean to…”
Sekkachi balled up her fist and for a moment Rei was certain she was going to strike her. However, a softness slowly filled her eyes and she began to lower her hand. “That doesn’t mean anything” Sekkachi growled. Her voice quaked, and for the first time in a long time she was holding back tears. “You don’t get a free pass by saying sorry. I want you to live with the guilt of what you’ve done every single day for the rest of your miserable life.”
Now Rei was fighting back tears. She clenched her fists at her sides so hard, her nails dug deep into her palms. A lump rose in her throat and the earth began to swing back and forth beneath her feet. “I know…I know…I wish it had been me instead. It should’ve been me…oh god, it should’ve been me…”
“Your tears aren’t going to help you win my sympathy, Rei” Sekkachi snapped. “I refuse to sit by and watch you get everything you ever wanted while having stolen this from me.” She gestured to Naru’s grave, and a sickening fear began to well up inside of Rei.
“W-what do you mean…?” the redhead asked, though she was terrified of the answer. She wasn’t stupid. She could make the inferences. All the pieces of this tragic puzzle began coming together in her head and it only added to the crushing weight.
Sekkachi sniffled and tried to act tough, unaffected, but was failing. “I had plans, you know” she said. “I had things I wanted, too. A happy life. Good future. Loving relationship. But the one person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, I was too much of a fucking coward to confess to. And now…now it’s too fucking late!”—here, she kicked the small bouquet of flowers she had placed by Naru’s grave. “She’s gone and there’s nothing I can fucking do about it!”
The sky was spinning. This was so much worse than she expected. Rei gasped for breath, trying to make sense of everything. Her entire world felt like one bizarre dream where nothing made sense and everything was fake. “Y-you mean…the bookshop…and—”
“Yes, you fucking idiot!” Sekkachi screamed. “It was Naru! It was all for fucking Naru! And now she’s motherfucking gone, and I’ll never be able to tell her how much my stupid ass fucking loved her, and there’s nothing I can do about it!” At this point, there was no holding back now. The dam had broken and tears were spilling down Sekkachi’s face. It was the most raw and gruesome display of emotion Rei had ever seen her express in public, if not in the entire course of their friendship. She gripped her stomach, tugging at the chub on her sides, and shrieked in agony. “This is all your fucking fault!”
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry…I’m so fucking sorry…” Rei wailed, falling to her knees. She curled up on the ground, pressing a hand to Naru’s gravestone in hopes that perhaps wherever her spirit was, it would flutter down to bring them peace or reassurance or some other poetic bullshit she knew wasn’t actually attainable.
Sekkachi knelt down and grabbed Rei by her shirt collar, a tearful anger overflowing from inside of her. Through clenched teeth, she growled, “Sorry isn’t going to bring her back to me.” Then she tossed Rei back into the ground and walked off feeling dirty and disgusting and depressed.
Rei gripped the grass as she watched her leave, feeling the natural little bugs of the terrain crawl through her tangled hair and across her fingers. Something inside of her was dying, rancid and raw, threatening to overtake her entire body. Her forearms itched for something sharp, some way to drain herself of this darkness, but she was too worn down to move. She would just have to suffer through the hunger. She turned to the sky and stared directly at the sun until black spots clouded her vision, then pressed the heels of her hands into her eye sockets and whispered, “It never ends…it never ends…”
