Matt or Chris accidentally walking into your room while you’re changing
chris:
I feel like Chris would for sure be a little flustered and, of course, respectful, BUT he would also not hold back his gaze and let it linger in your body a little, asking himself "how the fuck I didn't noticed how hot she was before?", for sure saying something silly too
- A SMALL BLURB FOR YA -
Chris's bedroom was a chaotic mess, as usual. His bed unmade, while clothes were strewn across the floor. Y/N, his best friend, had known him long enough to not be fazed by the clutter. Today, she was using his room to change into a new outfit for their night out - the triplets having decided to have dinner at BOA, trusting him to respect her privacy.
She was halfway through pulling up her skirt, her back turned towards the door, when it suddenly swung open.
"Hey, Y/N, have you seen my-" Chris's voice trailed off abruptly.
There he stood, frozen in the doorway, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. Y/N, wearing nothing but her bra and the skirt that was still bunched up around her thighs, turned her head sharply to see him standing there, dumbfounded.
"CHRIS!" She screamed, her voice a mix of shock and embarrassment. She hastily tried to cover herself with the top she was about to put on, fumbling and flustered. "What are you doing?!"
Chris didn't move. His eyes were fixed on her, blinking only occasionally as if to confirm he wasn't imagining the sight before him. His cheeks flushed a deep red, yet he couldn't help but take in every detail of her bare skin.
"I'm-I'm sorry!" he stammered, but his feet remained glued to the spot. "I just- wow, you- uh, you look... wow."
"Chris, stop fucking staring!" Y/N squealed, trying to pull her top over her head while keeping her modesty intact. She was mortified but couldn't help but notice the way his gaze lingered appreciatively over her body.
Realizing he was still gawking, Chris shook his head as if snapping out of a trance. He took a step back, a mischievous grin creeping onto his face.
"You know, Y/N, if I had known you'd look this good, I would've barged in sooner."
"Get out!" Y/N yelled, now using one hand to throw one of his shoes that were close to her feet at him. The shoe missed him by inches, but it was enough to make him stumble backward, laughing.
"Alright, alright, I'm going!" He chuckled, raising his arms and backing out of the room. "But seriously, you should consider making this a regular thing."
Y/N groaned, her face burning with embarrassment as she finished dressing. Outside the door, Chris's laughter echoed down the hallway, leaving her both flustered and slightly amused at the absurdity of the situation.
matt:
we all know that Matt is a respectful king and SO SO soft 😩 he would be so flustered and so fucking lost, I feel like he would act like a lost puppy, not knowing where to look (even tho his eyes wanted to look at you so bad bc wow, you're so hot and pretty), and he would apologize a lot while you felt like laughing at the poor boy 😭
- HERE'S A LITTLE BLURBB -
Matt strolled down the small hallway that lead to his bedroom. He had just returned from the kitchen with a snack, ready to relax in his room. Y/N, his best friend, was in town and staying with him and his brothers for the weekend.
As Matt approached his bedroom door, he remembered Y/N had borrowed his room to change clothes. He absentmindedly pushed the door open, not thinking much of it. The sight that greeted him made him freeze in his tracks, snack forgotten in his hand.
Y/N stood in the middle of the room, halfway through changing, with her back to the door. She was in the process of pulling on a shirt, her upper body almost completely exposed except for a delicate lace bra. Her skin glowed softly under the room's warm light, and her hair cascaded down her back in waves.
Matt's brain short-circuited. His eyes widened, and his mouth fell open. He was struck by how stunning she looked, and for a split second, he couldn't tear his gaze away. His cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and he felt an awkward heat spread through his body.
Y/N, hearing the door open, turned her head slightly and saw Matt standing there, looking like a deer caught in headlights. Her initial shock quickly morphed into amusement. She couldn't help but notice how flustered he looked, his eyes darting everywhere except at her.
"Matt!" She exclaimed, trying to suppress a giggle. "A little privacy, please?"
Matt snapped back to reality, his eyes still wide with embarrassment, looking like a lost puppy.
"Oh my god, Y/N, I’m so sorry!" He stammered, averting his gaze to the floor. He fumbled with the door handle, attempting to close it but failing miserably as his nerves got the better of him. "I didn’t mean to- I mean, I wasn’t trying to- Oh God!"
Y/N couldn't hold back her laughter anymore.
"It's okay, Matt. Just close the door."
He finally managed to pull the door shut, standing on the other side with his back against it, his heart pounding in his chest and his brain repeatedly exposing the rushed image it captured of her. Inside the room, Y/N quickly finished changing, still chuckling to herself. She could imagine Matt’s flustered expression, and it made her chest warm with affection.
A moment later, she opened the door to find Matt still standing there, looking mortified, staring at nothing, with a still un-opened snack in hand. She reached out and lightly touched his arm, her touch snapping him out of his daze.
"Hey, it’s really okay." She said softly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "No harm done."
Matt’s cheeks were still flushed, but he managed a sheepish smile.
"I’m really sorry, Y/N. I swear, I didn’t mean to walk in on you."
"I know, Matt. It’s fine. Really." She laughed again, the sound light.
He rubbed the back of his neck, still looking like a lost puppy.
"You’re, uh, really pretty. Like glowing and... and all." He blurted out, then immediately regretted it, his blush deepening.
Y/N’s laughter softened into a tender smile.
"Thanks, Matt. You’re pretty cute when you’re all flustered, you know."
He groaned, covering his face with his hands.
"Stop, you’re making it worse."

oh my goodness! your james potter fic is amazing!! can I request something where they’re walking to a cafe or a restaurant and he follows the sidewalk rule? <3
in my james potter era again? kidding, i’m taking all requests! (can you see how hard i’m trying to keep you guys sending requests?) thank you for requesting, love! i hope this is what you were looking for!
cw: fem!reader, mostly shy!reader (reader does do a few non-shy actions tho), established relationship, minimal kissing, james being a sweetheart, 0.8k
<3
“hey, jamie, do you know where my scarf is?” you ask, and your footsteps echo down the staircase as you make your way towards the front door in a rush. james stands still for a moment, hand resting on the doorknob, eyes watching closely as you gently pat down your hair, as if it’s a mess. you’re pulling on your coat when your eyes meet his, frantic and questioning, awaiting his response.
“no, I haven’t seen it, lovely.” james responds, his hand leaving the door as he takes a couple steps towards you, “where did you see it last? he asks, his tone patient as you search your mind for the answer to his question.
“I don’t know, I don’t remember,” you reply with a deep sigh, disappointment radiating off your face. james feels a tug at his heart, desperate to make you feel better.
“how about you take mine and we can look for yours when we get home?” james suggests, already tugging at the end of his scarf and offering it to you.
your face lights up and you find yourself forgetting all about your missing scarf in a heartbeat, “oh, you’re the best,” you practically swoon, quickly taking the scarf from james and wrapping it around your neck. you then grab james’ face with both of your clothed gloves and kiss him so quickly that he doesn’t have a chance to kiss back, but he doesn’t have to because you mean it as a ‘thank you’ to his kindness towards you, “okay, lets go before the cafe gets too busy.” you say, covering your nerves from your bold action and not noticing james’ silent moment of complete infatuation towards you because you’re quick to grab his hand and tug him towards the front door.
when the breeze of the cold winter morning hits your face, you’re suddenly extra grateful that james lent you his scarf. you peek a glance at him, as you walk down the sidewalk hand-in-hand, a light dusting of snow covering the top. you notice his cheeks are red, the color spreading down to his neck and into his coat. hoping to make him feel better, you wrap your other hand around his bicep and lean your head onto his arm. james glances down at your attempt to warm him up with a gentle smile grazing his frozen lips.
“if you’re wondering, i’m warming you up.” you confess, noticing his eyes on you and breaking the comfortable silence with your gentle words. james chuckles, the sound warming you more than you did him.
“thank you, darling,” james begins, a smirk tugging at his lips as he looks at you, “if this is what you’re like when I lend you my scarf, maybe we don’t need to find yours.”
you roll your eyes but your cheeks flush at his suggestion, “you’d like that.” you retort, kicking at the small amounts of snow beneath your feet.
“yes, I would.” james replies with zero hesitation, nuzzling his nose into your pink-tinted cheek, from both the cold and his words. you giggle, pushing his face away from yours, but james pursues, wanting to hear more of his absolute favorite sound come from your mouth. when you finally get him to stop, you take a deep breath, allowing your oxygen-deprived lungs air from all the laughing.
then, you retangle yourself within james’ arms before whispering, “maybe, we don’t need to find my scarf.” james smiles because he hears your words, even when you think he doesn’t.
as you continue the walk to your favorite cafe, you cross a street, ending on the opposite side of the sidewalk. james gently grabs your wrist, causing you to release your grip on his arm, before he’s pulling you around to his other side. you look up at him, confusion written across your face, but james doesn’t seem fazed in the slightest. you notice which side of the sidewalk you now stand on and only now do you realize the reason for james’ abrupt actions. a smile creeps onto your face and you look at your toes to hide your excitement, however james knows you too well.
“what are you smiling at down there?” james asks and you can hear the wide grin on his face in his tone, the way it questions you with joy hidden underneath the surface.
“nothing.” you sing out, turning your head to look at james, and for a moment the two of you just walk, staring at each other with silly grins on your faces.
“right.” james hums, finally looking away to watch the sidewalk in front of you, making sure to steer you in the direction of the cafe.
a giggle bubbles from your chest, “just thinking about how much I love you.” you say, leaning your head on his arm once more.
james kisses the top of your head, “I love you more, lovely.” he replies and you know it’s true. because everything he does is for you. and if you even tried to do the same amount of things that he does for you, he would still manage to top it every time.
you sigh, a sound of complete contentment as the two of you continue to walk, “I know.”

pairing: kang taehyun x fem!reader
genre: angst, some fluff if you squint, strangers (kinda) to lovers, college au, major character death, death in general (both on page and mentioned), kinda dead dove, talks about grief
synopsis: this has to be the worst day of your life. and just your luck, the day keeps repeating. over and over again. and you don’t know why. you get to relive the same day where you finally garner the courage to ask your crush, kang taehyun, out and get to relive the part where he rejects you each time.
word count: 13.6k┊masterlist
a/n: omg first 10k+ word fic!! happy birthday tyun!! this is lowkey inspired by a manga series called orange (which is one of my all time favorite mangas! you should really check it out because it’s so so so good but please look up tws), that one episode of supernatural where sam repeats the same day, and lowkey life is strange lmao. i am so so sorry my baby hyuka :( this was really interesting to write tho, so i hope you enjoy! ♡
if you had to experience another valentine’s day over again, you’d personally find and kill cupid yourself. you were sick of this day, sick of your confession, sick of the stupid crush you had. and most of all, you were sick of being stuck in this fucking time loop.
you don’t even know how you got in this situation. how the universe decided that, yes, y/n should experience the day where she gets rejected by her crush over and over again! wouldn’t that be so much fun? rest assured, it is not.
no matter what you did, your confession of liking kang taehyun always came to the surface, no matter how much you avoided him. whether that be from your actual mouth, or from someone else’s somehow. you didn’t even know how, since you haven’t told anybody about your crush—well, except your roommate chaewon, but that was purely coincidental and you were sure she wouldn’t tell anyone. and no matter what you did, or how you acted, or how you dressed, taehyun would always reject you.
this all had to be some sick joke that everyone was in on. what was the point of it all? you sighed as you woke up in your room, once again, on valentine’s day.
you looked over to your nightstand like you have for the five hundred and forty-seventh time. the confession letter you had spent so long on the night before—well, not the night before—was laying there. it's pretty pink paper with elaborate cursive writing, love doodles, and glitter mocking you. you glared at it as you got ready for your classes. you had tried once to leave it at your dorm room, to not give it to taehyun at all, but then your roommate showed up with it in the hallways.
“y/n! you forgot your confession letter to taehyun!” your roommate, chaewon, had practically yelled as she jogged over to where you were coming out of your class. heads turned to the both of you and you wished you could be six feet under. you quickly glanced around and made direct eye contact with taehyun, who was frozen mid stride with an open notebook in hand. you fled the scene and avoided him like the plague for the rest of the day, only for him to come up to you himself as you were getting lunch a good ways away from campus. “hey… about the confession letter… i’m really flattered, truly, but it just isn’t gonna work between us. i’m not looking for a relationship right now, i’m sorry.” he had said, before turning and walking away, leaving you gaping in the restaurant.
those words have been replaying in your head over and over for the past five hundred and forty-two loops. “it just isn’t gonna work between us,” at least he was kind about it.
you were tempted to just stay in your pajamas, but you’ve already done that last loop. yawning as you put your bookbag over your shoulders, you exited your dorm room and made your way to your first class of the day. no matter how much sleep you get in each loop, you were still dead tired. courtesy of staying up all night the night you made the confession letter.
realization hits you and you turn back towards your dorm at the same time that chaewon comes out of it, your confession letter in her hand. “y/n, you forgot your confession letter!” the both of you say at the same time, you mainly copying what she has said so many times before. “i know,” you added. chaewon’s eyes widened in shock, a smile spreading across her face. you took the letter from her and shoved it deep within your bookbag, definitely crumpling it.
“i’m in a time loop, chaewon. i know exactly what you’re gonna say.” you sighed and ran a hand down your face as you stifled another yawn. “sure, i can guess the next three words that are gonna come out of your mouth. lemon, eight, and cutie patootie, which are four words by the way.”
chaewon’s face dropped even more in shock. you just sighed deeper. “i’m gonna need your help today. that confession letter i made last night… it cannot get to taehyun. do you hear me?” chaewon just nodded and you gave a small nod back. you turned and began your way to your class again.
luckily for you, you shared your first class with taehyun. photography 101 with mr. kim. today’s class dealt with polaroid cameras, which you were also sick of dealing with. you sat in the empty seat near the window where you always sat and got your notebook out as class started to begin. if you were honest, you chose this seat cause it gives you the best view of your crush. the sunlight filtered hazily through the window illuminating taehyun’s features, making him look even more dreamy. it probably wasn’t the best idea, since you spent most of the class staring at him and wanting to take a picture of him; rather than paying attention to your teacher and what he wanted you to take pictures of.
you tried your hardest to focus this loop around. you wished that after how many times you lived this day, your crush would just disappear. i mean, you would think getting rejected five hundred and forty-six times would help right? wrong.
at first, you thought of the time loop as a blessing in disguise. there to help you fix your mistakes and finally get the guy you’ve been crushing on for a while now. wrong, again. for the first hundred or so loops you tried everything in your power to curate yourself to taehyun’s tastes. even going so far to dye your hair and buy a bunch of new clothes. nothing worked. it was hopeless. so now you’ve been spending the past four hundred and so on loops trying to get out of the loop. also hopeless. you just couldn’t crack what was keeping you here, on this day. and why you of all people.
mr. kim had given all the students in the class polaroid cameras, not the modern ones, but one of those old ones from the ninties. you rushed to get your things as class ended, polaroid camera in hand, when you ran face first into someone and spilled the contents of your half open bookbag all over the floor.
the polaroid camera had fallen from your hands and bounced off your foot, snapping a picture and momentarily blinding you with the flash. “if that camera is broken y/n you will be paying for it!” mr. kim’s voice had loudly spoken as you blinked rapidly and tried to get the spots out of your eyes.
“sorry!” you mumbled to whoever you bumped into as you crouched to the floor to grab your things. they crouched next to you and helped you. “don’t worry about it!” you heard a familiar voice say. you froze, hand in the air ready to grab your notebook, as taehyun’s voice rang through your ears.
the letter, you thought. the gears in your brain started working again, breaking you out of your frozen state, and you began getting your things off the floor faster. you shoved them into your bookbag without caring if things got bent or folded. taehyun handed you a couple textbooks, which you all but snatched from him, and also shoved those into your bookbag. after getting to your feet, you mumbled another sorry, before turning to fly out the door again.
“y/n, wait!” taehyun called from behind you. you froze again. please don’t be the letter, please don’t be the letter, please don’t be the le you thought. you slowly turned and saw him rise to his feet, your notebook in hand. he held it out to you, a small smile on his face. “you almost forgot this,” taehyun spoke.
“thank you,” you replied in a small voice, returning his smile. you took the notebook from him and bolted out the class. on the brightside, at least it would’ve been a short loop if taehyun had grabbed the letter. no doubt, once he saw the big ‘to taehyun, from y/n’ on the front in big glittery letters he would’ve rejected you right then and there and the day would restart.
the only time the day has progressed past the rejection was the first ever day, before the loop started. you had been so excited to give taehyun the letter, even if the sleepiness was tearing you apart. it was valentine’s day, the day of love, and you thought that today was absolutely perfect to tell him about your feelings. after all, at least you wouldn’t be alone in sharing your feelings for someone.
everywhere you looked, new couples sprang up. it made you giddy inside. that’s going to be me, you thought. you couldn’t wait, you had the whole confession planned out. after your classes for the day were over, you were gonna wait outside the arts building for taehyun. the sun would be setting and with the perfect backdrop of a beautiful sunset, you would hand him your letter. taehyun would read it, a smile crossing his face, and he would accept your confession, making your wish come true. it would be written in the shooting stars. then the two of you would start dating and run off into said sunset, blah blah blah.
except, that’s not how it all happened. you waited outside the arts building, the setting sun in the background. you had waited for forty-five minutes, unaware that the class was delayed thirty minutes and that taehyun would stay behind for another fifteen for help from the teacher. by the time he came out, it was dark outside. you were cold and annoyed, and the confession letter was held limply in your hand, spare glitter piling up on the ground.
when you had silently handed it to him, he looked at the monstrosity in shock. it was clear at first glance he knew what it was, and it was only made even more apparent when he opened the envelope and read the letter inside. “o-oh…” he stuttered out, and your heart dropped and the deliberate blankness of his face. “y/n, i’m—“ that’s all you could bear to hear before you just nodded and swallowed thickly, tears rimming your eyes, and ran off.
you had cried in your dorm room all night. the whole interaction replaying in your head as you wished and wished for a miracle until you fell asleep from exhaustion. imagine your shock when you woke up again, confession letter on your nightstand and the day reading as valentine’s day. a joke, it all was, all you hoped. it wasn’t. only one good thing came from the time loop, nobody remembered anything from the previous loop. only the previous day, february thirteenth.
you had gotten back to your dorm room, not having classes until later in the day and desperate for sleep, when you stepped out of the way of chaewon’s hands. “how did you—oh my god! you really are in a time loop!” chaewon exclaimed. you stepped past her and made your way to your dresser to change your clothes. “yes, and i’m very tired and would like to sleep the day away.”
“well, what about taehyun? what about your confession? does he know yet?” chaewon asked as you slipped some shorts and a plain t-shirt on. you turned to her, shaking your head. “no, and it’s for the best that he never finds out.”
chaewon furrowed her eyebrows. “why did something bad happen in the last loop? how many times have you relieved this day?” you just laughed wryly, “you have absolutely no idea.”
“we gotta find some way to sway his mind!” she then exclaimed. you shook your head furiously, sitting down heavily on your bed. “there’s no use, chaewon. he doesn’t like me like that. like, at all.” you tried to keep the sadness from creeping into your tone. chaewon sat on her bed, a pout on her lips. “the only thing we can do is make sure that he doesn’t even see the letter at all,” you added.
“well where is it? have you tried burning it?” chaewon asked. you stood to retrieve your book bag. “i have actually, didn’t work.” it was around the two hundredth loop when you were getting deeply frustrated. there was a campfire party happening that you went to after avoiding taehyun for the whole day. you had thought that you were finally in the clear, even let yourself begin to hope a little. that’s when you decided to just burn the letter and let it all be done with.
it sat in the fire, the edges burning, before a magical gust of wind blew it out of the embers. right into taehyun’s hands.
you literally couldn’t believe your eyes. there was literally no way that the letter just did that. that’s when you knew that this loop was a curse, that you’d be doomed to repeat this day until the end of time. and probably after that too. your mouth had dropped, taehyun looked over to you with furrowed eyebrows. you get the rest.
“i know, you don’t like me…” you had trailed off, overlapping his words. you turned to walk away and the next thing you knew, you were waking up in your bed again.
you were rummaging through your messy bookbag when chaewon replied, “have you tried confessing to someone else?” you paused and turned to her. “i haven’t… actually…” you trailed in thought. this whole time you were so focused on your feelings for taehyun, you hadn’t even thought about anyone else. “i’m not sure it would even work,” you said. “even after all this time i still like him.”
“well, you have all this time… why don’t you try to start developing feelings for someone else and get over the feelings you have for taehyun?” chaewon said. you thought it over for a second. that doesn’t sound that bad of an idea. you already know that taehyun doesn’t and never will like you back, so what’s the harm? maybe it’ll actually work and you can be free from this loop. “who would i even like?” you asked, momentarily abandoning your bag.
chaewon pressed her lips together for a moment before shrugging. “there’s plenty of attractive people here, you could choose anybody!” you sighed deeply. “i can’t just choose someone to like… it doesn’t really work that way.” chaewon shrugged again. “it could at least help!”
you guess she was somewhat right. narrow the pool of people. you could go based on personality, or at least those the personalities you know of. whichever personalities clash with yours can get crossed off. “whatever,” you mumbled. “i guess it could work. i’ll think about it.” chaewon clapped happily as you returned to your bag for the letter.
heart dropping, you flipped your bag over and watched the contents inside fall to the floor. looking through the pile frantically, you came up with nothing. the letter was gone. chaewon called your name and you looked up at her, face paled. “it’s gone… the letter… it’s gone.” she crouched down next to you with furrowed brows and began searching herself. when she came up with nothing also, she sat back on the ground. “if you don’t have it, then where is it?”
that’s when you noticed a polaroid tucked under one of your notebooks. you pulled it out and stared at it. chaewon leaned over to get a look at it too. “taehyun must have it,” you said. the polaroid was a blurry picture of you and taehyun from class earlier that morning. “but if he has it…” you trailed. if he has it, then why hasn’t the day restarted?
you and chaewon spent the next forty-five minutes searching every nook and cranny of your room for the letter and still came up with nothing. you had explained to her how the time loop worked—as far as you knew it—and what it meant if taehyun had seen the letter. “so what does this mean?” chaewon asked, the two of you were sitting on your floor after cleaning up the mess you made. “i have no idea,” you replied. “i hope it means that all of this is over. but who knows if he actually has the letter. maybe somebody else picked it up when i dropped all my stuff.”
picking up the polaroid again, you stared hard at it. stupid camera. if you hadn't focused so much on it, you wouldn’t have ran into taehyun and dropped the letter in the first place. you rose to your feet, your class was about to start. “you’ll find it, y/n. and then maybe this whole day will stop repeating.” chaewon spoke, trying to comfort you. you just nodded solemnly, setting the polaroid on your desk.
suddenly you felt super dizzy and nauseous, and there was a heaviness on your heart. you held your stomach as you doubled over. chaewon jumped to her feet, her hand coming to your back as she bent to see your face. “y/n? what’s wrong?” all you could do was shake your head. you didn’t know. you’ve never felt like this before.
the next thing you knew, you were waking up in your bed to your alarm. you looked around your empty dorm room with confused eyes. did the day restart? you looked to your nightstand. there the letter sat. slowly, you got out of your bed and stood in front of it.
how weird. that has never happened when you restarted a loop before. taehyun didn’t even reject you, the day just started over. maybe it doesn’t have to be face to face? but, you didn’t get a text or anything. and if it was a mental thing, the day would be over before you even woke up.
you were getting ready for the day when chaewon came in from her early morning class. quickly, you explained to her the time loop again and proved the validity of your statement. “we’ll talk later about it, i have to get to class.” you said as you turned to the door. that’s when your eye caught something.
the polaroid you accidentally took from the last loop. it was still sitting on your desk in the exact place you sat it down. you ran over to your desk and snatched the picture, holding it up. you felt chaewon come up behind you. “what is it? oh! is that you and taehyun? when did you take this?” chaewon asked.
“i didn’t…” you trailed. “at least, not this loop. this is from the last loop. how is it here?” what is going on? chaewon took the polaroid from you to get a closer look. “that is so strange…” you nodded in agreement.
you left for your class after putting the polaroid back in a safe space on your desk. for the most part, the day was the same, except this time you took your time with your items and made sure your bookbag was zipped all the way.
when you were walking out of the classroom, you heard your name being called from across the hallway. you panicked for a second, thinking you forgot the letter and chaewon was here to spill your crush again. turning to the direction your name was called, you were shocked to see taehyun walking up to you.
your throat closed up the closer and closer he got until he was standing in front of you and you could hardly breathe. this was it, the letter somehow slipped from your bookbag and ended up magically in his hands. he was here to reject you and the day would repeat again and again. “i have more classes, but do you mind if we talk later on today? this afternoon?” taehyun asked. your eyes widened.
what did he want to talk about? you racked your brain for answers that didn’t come to you. this never happened in a loop before. usually, taehyun just straight up rejects you. “uh—sure!” you manage to push out, a nervous smile playing on your lips. he smiled back, handing you a small piece of paper with his number on it. “i’ll text you the when and where.” you nodded numbly as he said goodbye and walked away. did you just get his number? just like that?
“what do you think he wants to talk about?” you asked chaewon. “do you think he remembers the last loop? knows why it ended so abruptly and why that polaroid remained?” she sat across from you on the floor, a puzzled look on her face that was the same as yours. she thought for a moment before shrugging. “i honestly have no idea…” her face then lit up with a thought. “what if your letter from the last loop remained too and since he allegedly had it, he read it early? but since it’s the basis of the loop—or so you think—it got copied somehow?”
that actually didn’t sound too far off. it would help make sense of the way the last loop ended. also on why he suddenly wanted to talk to you. “you might be onto something, chaewon…” you trailed as you thought more on what she said. “but the loop resets when he rejects me, and he always rejects me. so if he had already read it, he would’ve already rejected me.”
“maybe the rules changed… you did say he didn’t explicitly reject you last loop. maybe things are changing. maybe the loop is starting to end and that’s why all these weird things are happening?” chaewon interjected. you sighed deeply and just shrugged. your head was spinning from it all. “i guess i’ll find out later today.” just in that moment you got a text from taehyun. you had texted him earlier saying that this was your number.
hey, it’s taehyun! can we meet at the benches next to the arts building in three hours?
you breathed in sharply. chaewon leaned over and pulled your phone down so she could read the text. “let me know what he says!” you just laughed a little and nodded, standing to your feet to get ready for your next class. you typed a quick text back to him.
yeah, that works for me. see you there!
you heart was pounding rapidly in your chest. you hoped that what chaewon said was true, that things were changing and the loops were finally coming to an end. you don’t know how much longer of this time loop you could take.
it was the meeting time for you to see taehyun. you had grabbed the polaroid from the last loop from your desk to ask him about and see if he had any answers. the chill of the morning had settled into a cool warmth. you saw taehyun waiting for you on the bench and felt goosebumps rise on your skin as you wished you brought a jacket.
his head turned to you at the sound of your approaching footsteps and he rose to his feet. “hi,” you said shyly as the both of you sat on the bench. you sat your bookbag on the bench next to you. “hi,” he replied, a small smile on his face. “what did you want to talk about?” you asked him.
taehyun turned to dig in his bag. your hands shook slightly in anticipation. he then turned back to you, a crumpled envelope in his hands. it was your confession letter. confusion washed over you. but your letter was in your bag? taehyun opened his mouth to speak but you held up a hand to stop him.
reaching in your bag, you grabbed your letter and held it out next to the one taehyun had and compared the two. they were exactly the same, except for taehyun’s version being crumpled and a little worse for wear. was chaewon right? both you and taehyun stared at the letters in confusion. “impossible…” you muttered under your breath.
you looked up at him, “there’s no way you should have this letter…” you were truly at a loss for words. taehyun’s confused eyes looked at you. “you dropped it…” taehyun began to speak before trailing off. you stared at each other for a moment.
“no, i didn’t—i mean i did, but that was… you shouldn’t—what is happening?” you stumbled over your words.
“wait… you remember dropping it? when we bumped into each other?” taehyun asked you. you stared at him with wide eyes. instead of answering his question you asked, “you’ve been repeating this day too?”
taehyun looked taken aback for a second before slowly nodding. your eyes never left him as you thought about what this meant. all those loops of you pining, changing yourself, and obsessing over his acception; all those things you did to try and get him to like you, he remembers? all those loops he rejected you over and over… you knew he didn’t like you, that much was obvious, but the fact that he remembered every five hundred and forty-eighth rejection caused your heart to hurt in a way you never thought it could.
embarrassment heated your cheeks. in order to save face a little bit, you turned and reached in your own bag for the polaroid. you held it out next to the matching letters. “how did these survive the last loop if…” you trailed off as you snuck a glance at him. you didn’t want to bring up how he rejects you each time you confess to him. he gently took the polaroid from your hands as he analyzed it.
taehyun’s face lit up briefly and he pulled out the polaroid camera from his bag. suddenly, you were blinded by the flash as he aimed the camera towards you. “hey! what the—“ you got cut off by another flash, this time aimed towards him. you watched him in confusion as he sat the pictures down on top of the letters and you both waited for the pictures to develop.
as the image came in, you could see how the both of you were blurred in them, yet everything else wasn’t. you leaned forward slightly to see them closer. even the bench wasn’t blurred. you took the camera from taehyun and ran up to the random person walking past. “photography assignment, sorry!” you muttered out before aiming the camera at the two of you steadily and taking a picture. the person looked at you weirdly before continuing on their way.
you walked back over to taehyun as the photo developed and stopped right in front of him in shock as the image developed. “what is it?” taehyun asked, standing to his feet and coming by your side.
in the polaroid, it was only you who was blurred, not the other person. “this is so weird…” you breathed. taehyun nodded in agreement. “do you think this has to do with the time loop?” he then asked, referring to the blurriness. shrugging a little, you leaned over to the bench and grabbed the other three polaroids and held them all together. “it has to,” you replied.
you then turned to him, “how does the loop end for you? is it different each time or does something specific trigger it?” taehyun’s eyes suddenly averted and you saw his shoulders sag ever so slightly. he moves to sit back on the bench. “um… it’s my friend… he—he dies.” your eyes widen and you stare at him for a moment, mouth agape. “oh! oh… i’m so sorry taehyun…” you trailed off, also sitting on the bench.
taehyun clears his throat, opting to change the subject. “how does it restart for you?” taehyun asks. you hesitate for a second. is it appropriate to bring up him rejecting you after he just told you that his friend dying resets his loop? “uh… well, this feels really inappropriate to bring up after everything, but it’s when you reject me.” you manage to push out. taehyun’s eyebrows raise as he glances over to you. the awkwardness in the air is so thick you’d have trouble cutting it with a knife.
“wait…” you trail off. you haven’t heard anything about someone dying today. does that mean he experiences more of the day than you do? “your day extends farther than mine does. if we’re both in the same loop, how does that work?” taehyun hummed in thought. “i’m not sure… but without any interruptions or changes, my day always ends at the same time. eight forty-five P.M.” he then looked up to you. “have you made it that far? or past it?”
you looked down at your feet, not wanting to meet his gaze. it only happened a couple of times, enough to count on one hand. the last being the one where you tried burning the letter and it didn’t work. “a handful of times, but it was only by avoiding giving you the letter. you always ended up with it somehow…” you replied. taehyun nodded, more to himself. he must’ve remembered the times. “well there’s two letters now,” taehyun motioned to the letters, “so maybe the loop will change? i mean, i obviously know about the letter and the contents and you’re still here. that has to mean something, right?” you nodded in agreement, ignoring the fact that he essentially just rejected you again. it honestly didn’t even phase you anymore after all this time.
“what if our loops merged and mine now ends when yours does?” you threw out. it would make sense as to why you’re still on the bench talking. taehyun shrugged, “it’s possible…”
you turned to him fully, your hopeful eyes gleaming in the sunny afternoon light. “there’s two of us now, i can help you save your friend! and we can get them and chaewon together and come up with a plan! maybe saving them is what gets us out of the time loop.” when you noticed that he wasn’t responding, you shrunk back a little into the bench. “…if you’re okay with that.” you added in a quiet voice.
you could practically see the gears in taehyun’s head turning as he thought. it was another moment before he opened his mouth to respond to your proposal. “i guess it wouldn’t hurt… and while we’re at it we can test the time loop merging theory.” taehyun finally said. a wide grin pushed its way onto your face. you began cleaning up your things, making sure to shove the letter back into your bag even if he already knew about it, as you stood to your feet. taehyun gave you a confused look.
“where are you going?” he asked you. you gave him a confused smile, “to go get your friend and chaewon… if we’re gonna save your friend we have to start now!” taehyun slowly began cleaning his stuff up. “but… we have classes…” you let out a loud laugh and taehyun stood to his feet after putting his stuff away. “what’s a class that you’ve experienced almost six hundred times to saving your friend?”
taehyun slowly started to nod, “you’re right.” you nodded back to him. “of course i am. let’s go save your friend!” you grabbed his wrist and pulled him in the direction of the dorms. chaewon didn’t have a class right now, if you remember correctly.
you wished you were in a loop of seeing chaewon’s face when you brought taehyun to your dorm room instead of him rejecting you. chaewon in fact didn’t have classes, you were right. you pushed the door open to your shared dorm room, scaring her half to death. chaewon’s eyes widened and her mouth went slack as you pulled taehyun into the room and shut the door.
“change of plans…” you spoke, turning to the two of them. you motioned a finger in between you and taehyun. “he’s in a time loop too and we’re gonna save his friend from dying.” if chaewon’s jaw could drop further it would. she sputtered for a moment, trying to push her words out. “i know, i know. i was shocked and very embarrassed too. but we have work to do.”
taehyun turned to you. “embarrassed?” he asked. you felt your cheeks heat up. did he really have to ask that question? “well… you did reject me almost six hundred times. and you have memories of every single one. that is very embarrassing for me…” you turned away from him, suddenly finding your desk very interesting, as you talked. you heard an “oh…” from behind you and felt yourself die a little more inside.
you pulled out an empty unused notebook from your desk drawer and turned back to chaewon and taehyun. chaewon managed to pick her jaw off the floor and her eyes weren’t as wide. “who are we saving?” chaewon asked. the two of you turned to taehyun. his eyes widened ever so slightly from the sudden spotlight. “um… his name is hueningkai. he’s my best friend.” chaewon nodded, looking down slightly. “let’s get to work then! we have people to save, everyone!”
taehyun then led the two of you back to where hueningkai’s class was happening, which was building b. the three of you were standing outside of his classroom when taehyun glanced inside. “he’s still in class, but we can just wait—“ he was cut off by you barging into the classroom. another good thing that came out of this loop is that you pretty much don’t have fear about anything anymore—for the most part.
you looked back at taehyun as the teacher stopped mid sentence and the group of students stared at you confused. “which one is him?” you asked him. taehyun gaped at you, eyes wide. you sighed and turned back to the class. “hueningkai?” you asked aloud. “please step forward. uh… it’s very import—important business that you’re needed for.” you then remembered the teacher and quickly added, “the dean sent us.”
the teacher waved his hand and a guy close to the back stood slowly. hueningkai packed his things up and made his way to the front of the classroom. you gave him an awkward smile as the two of you walked out of the classroom, shutting the door behind you.
it was dead silent as the four of you walked out of the building. once you were in the clear of listening ears, you stopped and turned. hueningkai’s eyebrows were raised in confusion, an awkward smile on his face, as he looked between you and taehyun. “there’s no important business from the dean, she lied,” chaewon said. taehyun stepped towards hueningkai. “look, kai, this is gonna sound really weird but—“
you stepped to hueningkai and put your hands on his shoulders as you looked him in the eyes. “listen man, you’re gonna die today.” you heard a gasp come from behind you and taehyun started to say your name. you ignored both. “but that’s okay! because us two—” you motioned to you and taehyun with a finger “—are stuck in a time loop and we’re gonna save you!” you released him and took a couple steps back, nodding to yourself with a satisfied smile.
hueningkai looked absolutely terrified. “i’m gonna die?!” he exclaimed, taking a step back. chaewon took quick steps towards him, trying to give comfort. “no! well… i mean, yes, but we’re gonna stop that from happening!” she gave you a sharp glare and you noticed that taehyun had his head in his hands. maybe telling him outright was a bad idea…
taehyun pushed the two of you back. “kai… you get into an accident at eight forty-five… you don’t end up making it. i’ve been trapped in this time loop trying to make sure that you don’t die.” hueningkai took a deep breath as he stared at taehyun with furrowed eyebrows. he then ran a hand through his dark hair. “okay… so i die today. never thought i would say that.” hueningkai looked between the three of you. “so how do i not die today?”
you pulled the notebook out of your bag as you began coming up with the pillars of the plan. “first, we all go together in some safe space where we know nothing’s going to happen to you. also so we can see how far we can push the day before it resets for taehyun and i.” you started. “how about our dorm room?” chaewon asked. you turned to taehyun and hueningkai. they looked at each for a second before shrugging. “let’s head there now then!” you added.
thankfully nothing happened on the walk from hueningkai’s class to your dorm room. chaewon had gone out to get snacks and other things for the long night you all were about to have. you all decided that you were gonna skip the rest of your classes as well.
you were in the process of writing the ways that taehyun had tried to save hueningkai that ultimately ended up failing when hueningkai asked, “just how many times have you watched me die?” there was a pained expression on taehyun’s face that he tried to mask with a wistful smile. he looked towards you, “how many loops has it been now?” you stopped to think. “this is the five hundred and forty-ninth loop.” taehyun turned back to hueningkai. “um… about five hundred and forty-seven times, give or take.” hueningkai’s face paled significantly.
taehyun scrunched his face up as he looked back towards you. “if this loop just resets, what’s the point of writing this all down then?” that made you stop dead in your tracks. what was the point? “can’t you take a picture of it?” hueningkai asked. taehyun had filled him in on everything on the walk to the dorms. you looked at him with knitted eyebrows. “well, you said the polaroids stayed when you went into a new loop… just take a picture of it!” he added.
you guess that made sense. “but what if they don’t stay since it’s not of us?” taehyun asked. you pulled your polaroid camera from your bag and held up the notebook next to taehyun’s face as you got close. you quickly snapped the picture and sat it down on the hardwood floor in the center of you all as you waited for it to develop. “problem solved!” you smiled. taehyun blinked rapidly at you.
just then, chaewon came through the door with a couple bags in her hands. “i got snacks!” she exclaimed. she sat them on her desk and sat in the empty spot of the semi-circle. “what did i miss?” she asked as she leaned over to look at the newly developed polaroid on the ground. “writing down all the ways taehyun failed to save my life!” hueningkai laughed, before he saw the grave expression on taehyun’s face. “joking!” he then quickly added. hueningkai put his hand on taehyun’s shoulder. “it’s okay taehyun, we’re gonna figure it out. i’m gonna get saved and you’re both gonna get out of this time loop!”
“speaking of…” you trailed. you held the camera up so the four of you were all in frame. “say cheese!” you said, smiling for the camera. you heard a chorus of “cheese!” behind you as you snapped the picture. you sat that polaroid next to the other one on the floor. “just to make explaining more easier.” you added.
“if you keep snapping pictures you’re gonna run out of film,” said taehyun. you laughed a little, “it’s practically unlimited, given the loop.” he shrugged slightly, agreeing with you. “have either of you figured out why you’re blurry in the pictures?” chaewon asked you and taehyun. you both shook your head. hueningkai perked up. “maybe it’s because everyone and everything around you is essentially stagnant. like, technically none of us change by the end of the loop. we’ll all reset. but the two of you do—even if it’s not physically. you have the memories and experiences of the past however many loops you’ve been through!”
it was as if suddenly things started to click into place. “you’re right! if you think about it, we’ve been in this loop for like a year and a half days wise. yeah, some days were shorter and longer than others, but a year and a half nonetheless! time around us is kinda frozen if you think about it. maybe the camera picks up on that and we’re blurry because we’re the only things in motion!” you were waving your hands in the air, speaking a mile a minute, hoping you were getting your point across. taehyun’s face lit up more and more as you spoke and he nodded along.
“do you think it’s the same with our phones?” taehyun asked as he pulled out his phone. you all shrugged. he turned the camera towards you all and snapped a picture. taehyun turned back towards you all with a confused expression. hueningkai leaned next to him over his phone. “what is it?” you asked as you leaned forward. “it didn’t even take the picture… how weird,” taehyun replied. you looked over at chaewon. she raised an eyebrow at you, “maybe it’s because it’s new technology?” none of you really had an explanation.
the rest of the night went by pretty insignificantly. you all had gotten a bunch of blankets to make a makeshift bed on the floor for taehyun and hueningkai. everything started to go wrong in the middle of the movie you were all watching.
the four of you were sitting on the floor, a laptop with the movie playing in front of you, when all of a sudden you heard coughing. you snapped your head over to hueningkai, who’s face was turning red by the second. “oh my god! is he choking?” you heard chaewon ask as taehyun started frantically hitting hueningkai’s back. you jumped up to grab a water bottle.
handing the water bottle to hueningkai, he croaks out, “it’s my throat…” he tried getting the water bottle open to no avail. “is he allergic?” you turned to taehyun and asked, referring to the popcorn you were all eating. he was practically drowning hueningkai with water as he rapidly shook his head. hueningkai was turning blue. you, taehyun, and chaewon were all flying around the small dorm room trying anything to help hueningkai but it seemed as if nothing was working.
suddenly, it seemed as if everything stopped. you looked to taehyun, who had frozen in his spot. he looked back to you, his eyes wide and glossy, and you realized that hueningkai’s chest wasn’t moving.
the next moment, you were waking up in your bed the morning of february fourteenth, marking the five hundred and fiftieth loop. you didn’t waste any time. the polaroids from the last loop sat on top of your dresser where you had put them before the movie. you grabbed them just as chaewon came into the dorm room.
convincing her wasn’t that hard to begin with, but it was significantly easier with the polaroids. especially the one of the four of you. the two of you rushed to your morning class that you shared with taehyun, hoping that he has the same idea with hueningkai.
you saw him rushing up the hallway opposite from you, a confused hueningkai in tow. you barely stopped for a breath when you reached them as you pulled out the polaroids. “time loop, understand?” you asked hueningkai. he looked at the polaroid for a brief moment before nodding. you exhaled and doubled over, you and chaewon had practically ran across campus. looking down, you also realized that you were still in your pajamas.
“um… so that didn’t work…” you breathed, turning to taehyun. he simply nodded, eyes to the floor. he too was in his pajamas. the two of you must’ve looked crazy. “i don’t understand…” taehyun trailed off. he led the three of you towards the exit of the building. “if he wasn’t choking, then how did he…” he added, looking off to the side.
you stopped and waved them all over to the bench to sit. taehyun ran his hands through his hair. “i don’t know,” you spoke quietly. chaewon and hueningkai both gave you confused looks. you forgot that they didn’t remember the last loop. quickly, you filled them in on what happened, watching as shocked expression took over their faces.
“and you’re sure you’re not allergic to popcorn?” chaewon asked, leaning forward to look at hueningkai. “butter? salt? anything that goes into making popcorn?” hueningkai shook his head, “no… not at all. i’m confused as to how that happened too.”
taehyun was quiet next to you. his head was in his hands and he was bent over. you put a hand on his back as you leaned down a little. “taehyun?” you asked quietly. you felt him inhale deeply. he sat up slowly and rubbed at his eyes.
“five hundred and fifty times…” taehyun started. “five hundred and fifty times and you would think that i would be somewhat used to it by now. use to death.” he dragged his hands away from his eyes. they landed heavily in his lap. your hand moved from his back to his shoulder. taehyun turned to his right to face hueningkai, “i’m so sorry, kai. i don’t know how to save you.”
you shook your head at that even though he wasn’t facing you. taehyun continued, “at this point, i don’t even know if it’s possible. you would think it would be, given the circumstances, but each loop keeps proving me wrong. i don’t know what else to do, but i can’t just let you die.” his voice cracked as he spoke and got lower and lower until his last sentence was just above a whisper. you felt your heart break at his sentiment.
you couldn’t help but think about how foolish you’ve been for the majority of this time loop. you spent so much time trying to get taehyun to like you back while he’s spent the whole time loop trying to save his best friend from a brutal ending. that time could’ve been spent coming up with ideas together, using your combined ideas to try and save hueningkai from death. but no, you were changing your appearance and crying over the fact he kept rejecting you. how idiotic. your face flushed with shame and embarrassment.
“we are going to save him,” you spoke confidently. taehyun turned to you, his face was stained with tears. “how? i’ve tried everything and nothing has worked.” you stood from the bench, thankfully the area around you wasn’t that populated with students.
“we have to get to the roots of the time loop,” you said, hitting your fist on your palm. “we don’t know how we got into it, we don’t know how to get out of it, and we don’t know why we’re the only two who are initially aware of it. so we have to start listing what we do know and work from there. we both know how the time loop restarts, and it has basically been confirmed that our loop restarts have been merged.” you didn’t want to outright list the reason, it was clear they understood what it was. no use in pushing the knife deeper into the wound.
you continued, “we need to know if there’s a general cutoff point to each loop.” chaewon nodded along, “do you remember what the time was when the last loop ended?” she spoke softly as she glanced over to taehyun and hueningkai. you shook your head. taehyun wiped his cheeks and furrowed his brows. “i think it was midnight?” he said, uncertainty in his voice. “i remember checking my phone like ten minutes before everything happened and it was 11:47pm.”
“and you said i was completely fine before…” hueningkai motioned over to you. you nodded. “so i would say that the general cutoff would be midnight, or the second before. it would make sense… you’re only limited to this one day within the loop.” hueningkai looked around at the three of you, seeing if you got what he was saying. you all nodded.
you motioned for them all to stand. “alright let’s go then!” taehyun stood and gave you a confused look, “go where?” you gave him a slightly amused look as you raised your eyebrows. “we’re gonna need a lot more than a notebook if we’re gonna plan this all out.”
you were thankful that you were on a college campus, so the confused and curious looks were at a minimum as the four of you carried four large poster boards across the sidewalks. you were heading to the library where chaewon had set up a meeting room for you all to sit down and work through your plan.
once you got to the library and the room chaewon had reserved, you breathed in deeply as you shut and locked the door behind you. hueningkai was laying the poster boards across the large table side by side. you walked over and began opening the pack of permanent markers you had bought as taehyun put both of your polaroid cameras on the table.
“okay,” you sighed as you began, opening the marker and leaning over the table to write on one of the poster boards. in big letters at the top you wrote ‘WHAT WE KNOW’ and added a bullet point for the loop ending at midnight, or the second before, exactly. “so we know that the loop ends at least the second before midnight.” you spoke and stood straight. “and we know that hueningkai wasn’t choking on anything. so that means we can conclude it was some magic of the time loop itself. the next thing we need to figure out is how to trick the loop.”
taehyun turned to look up at you from his seat next to you. “trick the loop? what do you mean?” before you could speak, chaewon did. “the day was just about to change, right, meaning that you had almost broken the loop. but at the last moment, hueningkai suddenly died. that means that somehow the time loop itself is aware. which means—“
“we have to trick it!” you, chaewon, taehyun, and hueningkai said in unison. their faces all brightened and you smiled to yourself. hueningkai’s eyebrows knitted together slightly. “but how do we trick the all-knowing time loop into believing i’m dead without me, you know, actually dying?” he asked, causing a couple chuckles to be let out around the room. the tension in the air lifted a little and your smile widened with newfound hope.
you leaned back over to the next poster board and reached over to the top of it. “by entering what i like to call phase two,” you spoke as you wrote ‘PHASE TWO’ on the poster board. under it you wrote, ‘WE KILL HUENINGKAI AND REVIVE HIM JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT.’ you looked up to wide eyes looking back at you. “and just how are you expecting us to do that?” taehyun interjected.
you smiled at him, eyes burning brightly, “it’s simple. we stop hueningkai’s heart three to four minutes before midnight—preferably three to be safe. in the seconds before it actually hits midnight, we perform cpr and save him!” it seemed like a good idea to you. i mean, it was really the only idea. hueningkai scrunched his face up, “i don’t know about this…”
“we’ll it’s either you die—briefly—and get revived, or you just straight up die. so pick your poison,” chaewon said. you heard taehyun mutter “jesus…” under his breath. hueningkai blinked at her.
“i guess either way i’m dying, so i would prefer it to not be permanent,” hueningkai spoke. you nodded in satisfaction. “how are we even gonna kill him in a way that doesn’t actually hurt him? in a way we can actually bring him back?” taehyun asked you. your smile fell slightly, you hadn’t really thought that part through. before you could say that you weren’t exactly sure, a phone ringing cut you off.
hueningkai looked around at the three of you with a sheepish smile as he pulled the ringing phone from his pocket. he looked down at the caller id, “it’s my sister. i’m sorry, i gotta take this.” a worried expression passed across taehyun’s face as he began to stand. “no, you stay. i’ll go with him. the two of you remember all the other loops anyways, you need all the information you can get,” chaewon said as she stood to her feet. taehyun hesitated before nodding and falling back down on his seat. hueningkai and chaewon left the room, leaving you inside alone with taehyun.
you pulled out the chair in front of you, which was directly next to taehyun, and sat down. you wished that your heart didn’t speed up at the fact that you were alone with him. even now, your feelings for him haven’t changed. you were still in love with him, the confession letter still sat heavily in your bag.
“y/n?” taehyun asked. you turned to him in question. “i just wanted to say thank you. you know, for helping me in all this to save kai. you didn’t have to, but you did anyways, and i’m grateful for that. clearly, i wouldn’t have been able to do it alone.” you smiled softly at him. “it’s no problem! i mean, we’re in this together. literally.”
taehyun laughed at that and it made your heart soar. you were happy you could make him laugh after seeing him cry earlier. glad that you could give him some hope in this fucked up situation. “seriously though, y/n. thank you,” taehyun smiled at you, his eyes boring into yours. you gave a nod in response, your smile warming. “i’m here for you!” taehyun’s smile widened.
you were just doing what anyone would do if they were in this situation. there wasn’t any need to put you on some pedestal and give you a good person award because of it.
before you could get too lost in taehyun’s eyes, you turned back to the poster boards with heated cheeks. under ‘WHAT WE KNOW,’ you began filling in everything that you were a hundred percent certain of about the time loop, taehyun aiding you. when hueningkai and chaewon came back inside the room, thankfully none of them harmed, the two of you were shoulder to shoulder, each writing on seperate poster boards. taehyun had used the third poster board to write down things he tried that failed to save hueningkai, ‘WHAT FAILED’ written at the top.
hueningkai and chaewon had sat in the seats across from you two, looking at everything you had added. “do you think there’s a way we could make these stay between loops? like the letters and polaroids besides taking a picture?” taehyun asked you, waving a hand with a marker in it over the poster boards. you sat back in your seat in thought and looked over to the polaroids that were spread out next to the cameras.
you tried thinking of an idea, but came up blank. “i have no clue. i mean, it has to be possible. we still don’t really know why there are two letters.” it was silent for a moment as everyone thought it over. “you said your loops essentially merged to join his, right?” chaewon asked you, causing you to nod. “and you said that when that happened, the letter was missing and the loop ended suddenly, causing the letter to duplicate and for you both to have one. now the time loop restarts for the both of you when he—“ she jabbed a thumb in hueningkai’s direction “—dies. have you tried seeing what happens what happens when… you know…” chaewon trailed, referring to you getting rejected.
you glanced over to taehyun to see that his eyes were fixed onto the table, cheeks flushed. you bet you didn’t look too different. you both haven’t really talked much about that part of the loop. granted, you had better things to worry about. “i mean… just to make sure that the loop doesn’t restart…” chaewon added awkwardly.
clearing your throat, you reached for your book bag to pull out the letter. you sat it on the table between you and taehyun and looked at him. “well… let’s try it so we can add it to the list.” just like that, awkward tension grew in the room.
taehyun swallowed thickly and reached for the letter. opening it, he read over the contents swiftly, already knowing exactly what it says. he looked up at you, his eyes meeting yours. “i… i’m sorry, y/n, but i…— don’t feel the same way about you.” taehyun folded the letter back up as he looked away. you looked down to your feet. the tension in the air grew thicker.
silence hung in the air for a few moments, before you couldn’t take any more of it. “okay! we’re still here, so…” you turned to write on the ‘WHAT WE KNOW’ poster board. you then looked around the room. everyone was avoiding each other’s eyes. “back to figuring out ways to kill hueningkai… any ideas that won't ultimately hurt him in the long run?”
“what if i held my breath?” hueningkai asked, causing you and the others to laugh. you breathed a sigh of relief as the tension started to dissipate. “that wouldn’t work, your body would literally make you start breathing again,” taehyun replied, a grin playing on his lips.
chaewon face brightened with an idea, “what if we drowned him!” you, hueningkai, and taehyun gave her a shocked look and chaewon then realized she said that a bit too enthusiastically. “i would rather not be drowned,” hueningkai exclaimed as he gave a small smile to chaewon, a laugh at the edges of his voice. she chuckled slightly in return.
“suffocation?” taehyun offered. hueningkai tilted his head, “and would you be doing the honors of holding the pillow over my face?” taehyun smirked at him and replied, “if you want!” as they talked, you were writing all the ideas down, excluding hueningkai holding his breath.
hueningkai clapped his hands together, “suffocation it is!”
“what if your body starts fighting back?” you asked, genuinely curious. hueningkai hummed in thought. from the corner of your eye you could see taehyun stifling a laugh. “make sure you tie me down then,” hueningkai replied.
“kinky,” taehyun muttered under his breath, backing away from hueningkai’s attempt to shove him from across the table with a grin. you finished writing and put the cap on the marker, tapping it against the table. “let’s get to it then!” you smirked.
suddenly, chaewon spurted, “what if when you past midnight, things change for the worst?” everyone stopped in their tracks and the room fell deathly silent. what did she mean ‘change for the worst’? the thought seeped into your head like ink and you tried not to let it spread over your thoughts. “that won’t happen,” hueningkai assured everyone, though he didn’t seem to believe his own words that much. if you were in his position—hell, you don’t even need to be in his position—you wouldn’t believe them either.
you glanced over to taehyun who, in turn, was already looking at you with wide eyes. his thoughts in them were clear; we all have to make it past midnight alive and well. all of us.
back at you and chaewon’s dorm, it was twenty minutes until midnight and you could feel the stress swirling around the room. you all basically spent the whole day in your dorm room, staring at the walls, too scared to eat or drink or even watch anything on the off chance it might somehow kill hueningkai.
at some point, chaewon suggested that you all got to know each other. you didn’t miss the sly smirk she gave you either, deciding to ignore it with a roll of you eyes. halfway through, she suddenly struck up a conversation with hueningkai about some school topic that you knew she didn’t have any interest in, leaving you and taehyun to continue the game alone.
deep down, you felt thankful for chaewon, even if she was deliberately trying to set you up right now. honestly, you didn’t know how you would’ve got through this time loop without her.
you and taehyun started asking the randomest of questions to each other. spanning from what your favorite color was to if you had to be any planet in the solar system, which planet would it be and why. your face was flushed with heat that you hoped he didn’t notice as the two of you grew closer. the confession letter burned hotly in your bag across the room, you could feel it like a tether to your soul, begging you to come closer. to reveal it.
during the exchange, you and taehyun somehow got closer and closer to each other as you answered the questions. the two of you were laughing and smiling at each other as your knees and shoulders brushed together from your closeness. you hadn’t even realized that chaewon and hueningkai were whispering to each other now as they stared at the two of you.
the night continued like that up till now. the room was so silent you could hear a pin drop. hueningkai was laying on your bed, eyes staring blankly up at the ceiling. chaewon kept her eyes on the clock on her phone. she downloaded an app that allowed her to see down to the millisecond. you and taehyun were still sitting on the floor, just as close as you had been the whole day.
you looked at him and his eyes trailed over to yours from where he was watching hueningkai on the bed. you gave him a slight nod, squeezing his knee briefly before standing to your feet. “we should get ready,” you said. the others nodded in agreement.
ten minutes until midnight and the pillow was shaking in taehyun’s hands as he stood at the edge of the bed, looking down to hueningkai. you stood next to him and chaewon stood behind you, giving you updates on the time. “it’s okay taehyun,” hueningkai whispered as he looked at him. taehyun just shook his head solemnly in response.
hueningkai sat up, throwing his feet over the edge of the bed in between you and taehyun. “i’m gonna try holding my breath,” he spoke. taehyun opened his mouth to argue, but hueningkai swiftly cut him off with, “i’m holding my breath. if it doesn’t work, well, you guys are in a time loop...” he scooted backwards so his back was flush with the wall.
“five minutes until midnight,” chaewon announced. hueningkai looked at the both of you. “be ready to revive me…” he trailed. hueningkai opened his mouth wide, gulping in as much air as he possibly could before closing it tightly with puffed cheeks. he closed his eyes, letting his head hang and his body relax.
you felt something squeeze your hand tightly and glanced down to see that it was taehyun’s hand. you felt it tremble as his locked nervous stare remained on hueningkai. “two minutes,” chaewon breathed out.
hueningkai’s face was turning purple and you wanted to advert your eyes so badly but couldn’t let yourself. his body watch twitching as it fought against him and his eyes squeezed together tighter. at this point, you didn’t know if it was him or the magic of the time loop taking over. hueningkai’s body went still and he fell over limply, his final breath smoking out between newly parted lips, just as chaewon called, “one minute, it’s go time!”
taehyun was squeezing your hand so tightly you thought it might break, but you didn’t make any moves to remove it from his grasp. chaewon started to count to twenty and as soon as she hit it, taehyun jumped into action. he pulled hueningkai towards him and the two of you got him down to the ground as gently and as fastly as you could. chaewon started doing cpr on him and there was nothing you and taehyun could do but watch and wait.
chaewon had thrown her phone to you when she dropped to the ground, and you took over managing the time. “thirty seconds!” you shouted, as chaewon started pushing on hueningkai’s chest in regulated increments and blowing air into his mouth.
“ten seconds,” you managed nervously. hueningkai still wasn’t breathing. you heard taehyun’s heavy breathing next to you as you watched the numbers grow closer to midnight. with your eyes still on the clock, you took taehyun’s hand as the final three seconds were up.
you woke up in your bed, confession letter on your nightstand, on the five hundred and fifty-first loop. you jumped to your feet, wasting no time as you grabbed your things, when there was rapid knocking at your door. you turned to the door in confusion. when you opened it, a frazzled looking taehyun was on the other side. you beckoned him in.
“so stupid…” taehyun muttered under his breath as he paced the room. “so stupid to let that idiot hold his breath, what was i thinking?” you walked up to him and put your hands on his shoulders, forcing him to stop his pacing and to look at you. “taehyun, take a deep breath,” you said as you stared into his eyes intently. you felt his shoulders rise and fall as he obeyed your command, his eyes fluttering closed. he took another before opening them again.
taehyun took your hands in his. “we’re gonna save him,” you said softly. “all of this isn’t just on your shoulders, okay? we’re in this together. let me share some of the weight.” taehyun’s eyes were trained to the ground as he nodded. just then, chaewon entered the room.
she saw the two of you, your close stance and intertwined hands, and froze mid walk. her mouth opened but you broke away from taehyun and strode up to her before she could say anything. “chaewon! we need your help! we’ll explain on the way.”
later that day, the four of you were once again in you and chaewon’s dorm room. ten minutes until midnight on the clock and taehyun gripped the pillow in his hands so hard his knuckles were white. hueningkai was laying flat on your bed again, looking up to the ceiling.
“five minutes, go time,” chaewon said as she moved closer to the two of you. you gave taehyun an encouraging smile as hueningkai closed his eyes. inside, your stomach churned. you really hoped it worked this time, you don’t know how many times you could watch taehyun essentially kill his best friend to save his life. your heart ached for taehyun, you didn’t know how many more times he could watch his best friend die—let alone be the one to kill him.
taehyun lifted the pillow mere inches above hueningkai’s face. the pillow shook from his trembling. “i’m so sorry, kai,” taehyun whispered, letting the pillow fall from his hands. he took a large step backwards and folded into himself.
you couldn’t let this loop go to waste. springing into action, you inhaled deeply as you pushed the pillow down onto hueningkai’s face. behind you, you heard chaewon say, “you’re on time.” chaewon was then next to you, holding hueningkai down to make sure he didn’t move.
“tw—two minutes,” taehyun’s voice shook. hueningkai’s body stilled once again and you and chaewon brought him to the floor to begin cpr.
“ten s-seconds,” stuttered taehyun. chaewon was laser focused on reviving as you sat and watched. in your head, you counted down. hueningkai didn’t wake back up.
sighing, you woke up to the five hundred and fifty-fifth loop; the others failing once again. four times hueningkai had died. four more times you had failed to save him. this time, chaewon had the idea of hueningkai drinking a bunch of energy drinks before his untimely demise to help jumpstart his heart better. when she said it, you all looked at her with amusement, but any idea is better than no ideas right about now.
taehyun was at your door again, like he was for the past four loops. when he entered, he immediately pulled you into his embrace. for once, the time loop was good for something, you thought. it’s a blessing that the two of you don’t dream, you feared that that would break taehyun completely.
you rubbed taehyun’s back as he tried to stop himself from shaking. he pulled away slightly as he looked into your eyes. “y/n, i know the two of us have grown closer through dubious means, but i am truly glad i got to know you. even if this time loop never ends, even if i have to watch my best friend die over and over and over again, at least you’re there by my side. at least you’re the constant hope that’s here keeping me grounded.” taehyun cupped your cheek, pausing to take a shaky breath.
briefly, he glanced over to your nightstand where your confession letter laid next to your unmade bed. “it’s funny, february thirteenth—god, that feels like a lifetime ago—there was a singular shooting star that night. i was with kai and he was egging me on to make a wish. ‘to always be by his side,’ i wished, ‘to be his best friend forever and to keep him safe. to stay in his moment of happiness where nothing can even fathom touching us.’” taehyun let out a wry laugh before continuing. “the night he first died, i prayed for a miracle, for something, anything. screamed at the sky at the fact that shooting stars were pointless.”
he looked back to your eyes, a glossy layer covering his own. you quietly inhaled at his vulnerability, it all taking you off guard despite the amount of times you’ve seen him cry now. you intertwined your hands together, like you’ve done for the past four loops.
“i know now that shooting stars don’t fly for me. that miracles are one in a million. but despite all of that, you still give me hope. and i know that no matter what happens, we’ll still see each other again,” taehyun concluded. tears brimmed at the corner of your eyes and taehyun brought his hands back to your cheeks softly.
it was as if time moved in slow motion, taehyun moving towards you. when his lips pressed to yours, it was as if all the stars had aligned. you felt the morning sun heat your skin through your open blinds. he was wrong, shooting stars did fly, and they flew for the both of you.
when you both pulled away, slightly out of breath, you couldn’t help the smile that was on your lips. “i made a wish too,” you said quietly, just loud enough for him to hear. “that no matter the outcome, no matter if you accepted my confession or rejected it, you’d continue being the person i grew feelings for. that your smile would always light up a room and bring joy to all of those around you. that i’d get to see your smiling face, full of happiness, everyday. that you’d always be happy.” as you spoke, the smile on taehyun’s face only grew wider, warming your heart and proving your point.
“shooting stars do fly for you, i’ll make sure of it if i have to. and you’re right,” you booped his nose slightly making him giggle, “we will see each other again. and you’ll see hueningkai again on a day that isn’t this dreaded godforsaken day. i’ll make sure of it.” taehyun pulled you in for another kiss just as chaewon entered. the two of you didn’t mind her, pulling each other closer.
“ten minutes,” chaewon called. at this point, you didn’t even need her announcements. you had the time down to a science. you looked to hueningkai, “you’re gonna live. i promise you that.” he looked over to you, a wide and wishful smile spreading across his face. how you wished that he and chaewon could remember the loops with you and taehyun. the four of you had grown so close given the circumstances that it made you sad that the slate got erased each time. but, it also made you happy. once you were all out of this time loop you could start anew, fresh. at least, in a way.
no doubt this time loop will always follow you and taehyun, like a ghost clinging to your shoulders. i mean, it’s been all you’ve known for so long, how could it not? you just hope you’re able to move past it and finally live normal lives.
“i hope so!” hueningkai exclaimed. you felt it deep inside. this time, your plan was gonna work. hueningkai downed the small case of energy drinks, cringing at the taste of them, and laid back down. he nodded at you and taehyun, signifying he was ready. “five minutes,” chaewon spoke, passing her phone to taehyun. you gave taehyun a smile. it was going to work this time.
the pillow came down and hueningkai’s body stilled as there were two minutes until midnight. you and chaewon brought him to the floor and the three of you crowded around his body. taehyun took your hand, giving it a squeeze, as you looked at each other. chaewon began cpr.
ten seconds until midnight and counting, chaewon shouted that she had a pulse. five seconds until midnight, hueningkai gasped in a breath of air and his eyes fluttered open. for the first time in all of the five hundred and fifty-five loops you’ve been through, you watched as taehyun cried tears of happiness. the three of you pulled hueningkai into your arms, laughing with joy at the fact that he was still alive.
“it’s 12:01am,” hueningkai’s raspy voice spoke as he pointed to chaewon’s discarded phone next to you all. you let out a gasp as you and taehyun stared at each other with wide eyes. “we did it,” he spoke, disbelief rounding the edges of his voice. “we did it!” you echoed, a large smile breaking out on your face. you bent down and hugged hueningkai, “you’re alive!”
you felt a pull deep within you, and the next thing you knew, you were waking up in your dorm room again. confusion pulled your brows and you stood to your feet slowly, looking at the confession letter on your nightstand in slight horror. no, this couldn’t be. this was impossible.
taehyun burst through the door of your room a minute later, not even bothering to knock, with a sleepy hueningkai behind him. chaewon was a close second behind them. with wide eyes, taehyun exclaimed, “he remembers! the time loop, he remembers!”
“i remember too!” chaewon laughed. you all let out shocked laughs, not quite sure how else to react. the four of you fell into a group hug. you would kill to see an outside perspective of all of this. four frazzled college students in their various pajamas with the weight of the world on their shoulders, seeing things that nobody else has seen before. it would sure be a sight to behold.
“so is this just a regular day then?” hueningkai asked, his voice muffled between the layers of clothing. “we get through today and tomorrow will finally not be valentine’s day?” you laughed as you pulled away, the others doing the same. “we just gotta get through today!”
taehyun turned to hueningkai, “you will not be leaving my sight today. we don’t need to enter another time loop.” hueningkai laughed and just nodded, a smile lingering on his lips. “what’s another day indoors?” chaewon smiled.
you all spent the day in taehyun and hueningkai’s dorm instead of you and chaewon’s. you all desperately needed the change of scenery. at one point, you all became curious to see if anybody else remembered the last loop besides the four of you. hueningkai managed to convince taehyun to let him roam around the dorms with chaewon to find out, “i just can’t say no to him,” taehyun had said.
when the two of you were alone in the dorm room, you pulled your confession letter out of your bag and presented it in front of taehyun. he laughed a little, “what are you doing?” you smiled, pushing it towards him more. “will you be my valentine?”
taehyun took the letter and opened it, like he did so many times before that he could read every word by heart. tell you where each spec of glitter resided on the pink paper. he read over the letter one more time, mock surprise and shock on his face. “i like you too, of course i’ll be your valentine.” he pulled you in for a gentle kiss, smiling against your lips as you giggled.
“will you be my girlfriend?” taehyun asked once you pulled away. your smile widened, “i don’t know… maybe you’ll have to ask me over and over and over for me to decide.” he playfully rolled his eyes at your teasing. “i’ve liked you since the beginning, you know. you didn’t think i didn’t notice you staring at me in class? sitting just in the right seat so i’m always in your view?” you face heated tremendously and taehyun laughed as his thumbs brushed over your warm cheeks. “you didn’t notice that we were always in at least one class together? how no matter where one of us sat, we could still see each other?”
you pressed your lips to his to shut him up, not needing any more embarrassment. “i’ll be your girlfriend,” you chuckled as you pulled away. “it’s already bad enough you remember the early loops—god, i’ll never live that embarrassment down!”
“it was cute to see how much you liked me! i only rejected you because i had to focus on saving kai. if we weren’t in that stupid time loop we would’ve been together ages ago!” taehyun said, causing you to smile warmly at him. you laid your head on his shoulder and he laid his head on top of yours. “you know, at the campfire party, i was gonna ask you out but you spoke before i could and the loop restarted before i could say anything.”
you pulled away and whipped your head to face him, “what?” you urged him to explain himself. laughing, taehyun said, “yeah! when the letter magically flew into my hands? i had came up to you to ask you out but you assumed i was there to reject you again, which i mean, i don’t blame you for…” you looked at him in shock.
shoving taehyun lightly, you gasped in disbelief before pulling him towards you into a kiss. the door to his dorm jiggled dramatically, causing you both to pull away with a laugh. chaewon and hueningkai came into the room with shielded eyes. “you both decent?” chaewon asked. you just shook your head at them which chuckling, “we weren’t doing anything, assholes.” they uncovered their eyes and stepped further into the room, closing the door.
they sat down in front of you, giving each other a look and then high-fiving. you raised an eyebrow at them. “finally the two of you got together! chaewon and i were talking and it’s ridiculous how you both didn’t see how much you liked each other,” hueningkai said. you looked over to taehyun to see him roll his eyes, a small smile on his face.
the four of you stayed in the dorms for the rest of the day, hanging out and chatting together. you were happy you were getting to know them better, even if you did slightly freak them out with information they technically never told you about.
you were all leaned over chaewon’s phone, five minutes until midnight. taehyun’s eyes were on kai like a hawk and you could tell kai was nervous too by the way he kept fidgeting with the string on his pajama pants. “deep breaths everyone, everything is gonna be okay,” you said encouragingly. inhales we’re heard around the circle and the tension started to lift a little.
“ten seconds,” chaewon announced. you all watched as the numbers climbed to midnight, and then to 12:01 and 12:02 and all the way to 12:05am. taehyun let out a long sigh of relief, closing his eyes briefly. “thank god, i’m starving!” kai said. you and chaewon jumped to your feet in excitement. “we fucking did it!” you shouted in celebration, pulling the two boys up to join you. you pulled the polaroid camera from out your bag and snapped a picture of the four of you, needing to cement this occasion forever.
“finally, february fifteenth, i could kiss the ground you walk on!” taehyun murmured, pulling you all into one big hug. you held onto them all. you had all made it, together. you tightened your grip on them, and you were never letting go.

hey I want wondering if you could do a harry j potter x reader oneshot when the are dating for a few months (takes place in ootp or hbp I don’t really mind which) and reader is still not completely comfortable with cuddling and that kind of stuff with harry cause she just isn’t used to physical contact and one day when harry wants to cuddle with her in the evening she stiffens or flinches and harry is extremely worried (yk him and his adorable overreacting) cause he doesn’t know if she has any trauma or something and you can make the rest up just make it extremely fluffy (only if you want to do it tho I just think it’d be very cute <3)
hi love, so while my requests are technically not open, you were lucky there weren't many requests from my celebration so i did write this :) and it wouldn't be a blurb from me if it wasn't 1.3k words (i swear i'm not doing it on purpose)
Flinch
The fire spit out sparks near your feet as you poured over your Divination homework. You were halfway but it was becoming harder and harder to come up with solutions and explanations of your dreams and with every minute that passed your concentration grew smaller. Not that there had been much to begin with when you'd started, but whether you liked it or not, the deadline was approaching fast.
Just as you'd finished describing your dream of last Thursday—something to do with unruly black hair and glasses—you got interrupted. Someone dropped to the couch behind where you were sitting on the floor and let out a loud sigh. Then in the corner of your eye you saw a flash of red hair darting to the last empty chair on your side, followed by a "How gentleman-like of you, Ron".
Hermione sat down next to you on the floor and glanced at your parchment. "I feel sad for you."
"You should," you said, dropping your quill and massaging your forehead with your fingers. "It's a wreck."
"Wait a minute." Ron perked up from his slouch in the armchair. "Why did you not feel sorry for me when I complained about it today?"
Hermione shook her head. "Because you don't even try, Ron! You predicted you'd be caught by a mob of horses and be forced to turn into a centaur."
"So?" Ron shrugged. "That's just what my dream meant."
"Be careful," you said to Ron. "Or soon you'll dream it's a mob of Hermiones chasing you."
Ron shivered as if that was the worst nightmare anyone could have and behind you Harry barked a laugh. You looked back at your boyfriend and smiled. The dating thing was still new and you were trying to find your way with it, but you were glad to have made him laugh.
"Hush now," you said, waving a hand towards Ron. "I want to finish this."
You did get silence but only for five minutes or so before Ron started to talk about the upcoming quidditch game against Ravenclaw. You, who had been busy coming up with a dream for Friday—maybe Ron's technique wasn't all that bad after all—got pulled from your focus. You tried for ten more minutes, but eventually had to admit that you were doing more bad than good and would have to correct everything you wrote tomorrow so you gave up You threw your quill down and rested back against the bottom of the sofa, right next to Harry's legs.
Without turning away from his conversation, he laid his hand atop your head and started massaging it.
You froze, heart skipping a beat and pumping twice as fast after. Every muscle in your body grew rigid, frozen, and you carefully moved away, pretending to grab something of the table, but in fact trying to get away as unnoticeable as possible.
No one noticed. Harry's hand fell back but he said nothing nor did he move closer again. With a pounding heart you stared at your Divination paper, pretending you were fixing a mistake.
It wasn't Harry's fault. Really not. You'd never been good with physical contact but you also never thought it a real problem till you got together with Harry. Now each time he wrapped an arm around you or reached for your hand, you froze, panicked, feared. You weren't even sure why.
You also didn't know if Harry had noticed. He had never said anything about it and whenever it happened and you pulled away he seemed not to notice it. But you knew it wasn't fair to him and you did try to do better. Just yesterday he had taken your hand and without too much panic you'd held onto it for the entire walk.
It was a slow process and many times you were on the verge of telling him about it, but you were scared.
After a few minutes of calming down, you got up and sat next to Harry on the sofa, leaving enough space so you weren't touching but no one would think anything of it.
Ron was animatedly telling a story about Flitwick who had fallen off his chair and Harry turned to you.
"You alright?" he asked softly.
"Hm? Yeah, I'm fine." You bit your lip and Harry's gaze flicked down but back up quickly.
"Are you sure?" he went on. "You seem a bit off."
"No, all's good. Don't worry." You shrugged. "Just tired."
"Okay." Harry's mouth split into a smile. "'Cause you'd tell me if something was wrong right?"
"Of course." You tried a smile and apparently it was convincing enough for him to drop the subject.
"It's not that funny, Ron," Hermione said, tearing your focus from Harry. She shook her head while Ron wiped a tear from the corner of his eye.
Next to you, Harry smiled lazily. "It kinda was. He made the funniest noise ever." He proceeded to make some high-pitched noise that had Ron roaring with laughter in his chair until he fell off.
"Serves you right," Hermione mumbled, but there was a smile on her face.
You laughed and sunk a little more into the sofa. So much that you almost didn't see what happened next to you. Almost.
Harry stretched out his arm to lay it over your shoulders and before you could stop it, you flinched.
And this time there was no mistaking it. He noticed.
"What-?" he stuttered.
Your eyes were wide, your body frozen in shock. You hadn't meant for it to happen, didn't even know it would happen. You'd been on edge all day, tired, overworked, but you never figured it would end up like this.
And unfortunately not only Harry noticed.
"Ron," Hermione said. "Ron, come on. I want to talk to you."
Ron looked up from where he hadn't even bothered get up from the floor. "Why?"
"Just something." Hermione's eyes flicked to your frozen body and Harry's face that you were too afraid to look at. "Quickly. Come on, Ron."
"Alright, fine. But I don't see what could possibly be so important."
"Just come!"
Hermione quickly left, Ron following after her reluctantly. You were glad she'd given you some privacy, but you didn't want to see the undoubtedly hurt look on Harry's face.
"y/n?" Harry didn't reach out for you and somehow that hurt. "Can you look at me?"
You took a deep breath and looked up. You had expected pain, anger, disappointment, but instead there was only worry and confusion. Harry's eyes were full of concern and that gave you the slightest of hope. He didn't hate you.
"What happened?" he asked softly.
"I'm trying really hard, Harry. It's just... physical contact and touch and everything---it doesn't come easy to me. I don't know why; it's just always been so for me." You looked down at your hands in your lap. "And I want to change that. I do. But it takes time."
Harry was silent for a long time and you didn't look at him. You'd understand if he didn't want to see you any longer, if he wanted to break things off. You'd hate that, of course, but you'd understand.
"We have time."
"What?"
You lifted your gaze to his face. He was watching you with a smile.
"You said it takes time. We have time. All the time in the world if we need."
"You mean that," you realised.
"I do. I don't want to lose you over something like this. We'll find our way with it. I promise."
A watery laugh fell from your lips. You nodded, more relieved than words could describe. He didn't hate you, not at all. Your fears had been ungrounded.
"Thank you," you said. And very carefully, you placed your hand atop Harry's one. Nerves spiked in your chest, but you pushed them down. "It's not that I hate you touching me. It's just a bit more difficult."
Harry turned his hand over and held yours. He was careful, soft.
"That's alright," he said. "I'm still yours."

part 1
Patrick asks Art if he got the stuff and how much to which Art replies: yea just an 8th tho and Patrick replies Dude wtf
No dude. You never told me your dealer was hot!!!
Don’t bother. Asked if she’d trade head for half. Wouldn’t budge. Strict business or whatever.
Two seconds later: Still. I’d tap that.
Art decides against telling him about the sample he got. Sticks the joint you rolled in his desk drawer. Does weed have an expiration date? he wonders. He drops by Patrick’s who asks how the deal went. If you gave him a discount for it being his first time and all.
“How much’d she charge?” Patrick wonders aloud, comparing prices in his head, secretly hoping his friend got ripped off.
It takes Art awhile to settle on a number. He still doesn’t know the price of weed. “Like fifty?”
“For an eighth?” Patrick laughs at this like okay this chick is insane and Art realizes he said the wrong thing.
“She said it was the good stuff.” Art shrugs, trying to play it off.
“Whatever man, but you need to learn how to negotiate… So we gonna smoke this shit or what?”
Art begins to make appearances more frequently. But he has to be calculated with how he goes about this. Doesn’t want to seem desperate, hooked on fucking weed. How pathetic. He has to pace himself. At first his visits are periodic. Comes by a few times a month for his regular pick up. But he can’t get enough. Sporadic turns into every other week and every other week turns into Friday nights after his games or if not a tournament, practice. He’s at your door with takeout in hand. Something different every time; he keeps you on your feet and you like the surprise. Tacos, Thai, Lo Mien. Indian when he wins his matches.
You don’t smoke with him at first when he asks, though; you have a rule about smoking up with clients.
“Oh,” he says, feeling defeated. Disappointed that’s how you think of him.
“You still want that eighth?” you ask.
“Um, no. Actually I think I’m gonna go.”
“Art,” you say and the sound of your voice calling his name has him frozen in place. His hand is still on the knob for a moment before it drops, falls by his side. He wipes it on his pants, a habit he has. "Don't do this."
"What? Change my mind?"
"No--"
"You're not trying to peer pressure me, are you?" You wonder if Art's being serious right now. If he's using your methodology of paying tuition and groceries against you. It's your turn to freeze.
"Fine then. Leave. But just so you know I wasn't the one hitting up strangers for weed." You're calm when you say this, only making it harder for Art to reach for the door once more.
Of course, he comes crawling back. Ends up blowing up your phone.
Art: Hey
Art: I'm sorry for what i said the other day. I wasn't thinking. Obviously. It just hurt when u called me a customer. Which i guess i technically am. I dont kno.
Art: I think ur really cool
Art: I guess i just wanted to smoke with someone other than patrick
Art: Did i mention i think ur really cool
You roll your eyes at the thread of messages, how they still come in and your phone can't stop vibrating; you're not finished reading but it keeps pinging. Still, you're smiling. Can't help but read his texts over and over again before responding and you feel a heat on your cheeks when you haven't even lit up.
You text him the same thing when he always texts you after one of his games: My place 9?
"You think I'm cool, huh?" You nudge Art, sitting next to you on the couch. His legs are crossed, facing yours.
Art blushes at the question, the pressure you put him under. Finally musters up the courage to say, “yeah. Really cool.” Then leans in, does that thing that guys do where they grab your jaw, almost caresses it, then brings you in to kiss your lips. It’s soft. Gentle. Thinks he might hurt you if he’s not careful. And he doesn’t linger long but you can taste his chapstick. Mint. You miss him already when his lips leave yours and your tongue sweeps over where flesh once was, itching for another taste.
He sees this. Locks his lips on yours again. Instinct. It's just as quick and sweet as the first one. You feel him grin when his mouth meshes with yours and the sensation of his smile pressing into your cheeks gets you all giddy-like.
“So does that mean you’ll smoke with me?” His smile doesn’t leave when you pull away. And you see his eyebrows are raised while his eyes are blue and bright. A dash of hope shimmers in them and you can see your reflection in them.
“Yeah,” you say, hushed, almost a whisper as if you can’t bring yourself to say it out loud. You’re breaking your rules for him, is what Art’s thinking. And you tell yourself it’s just a one time exception but when he comes over next Friday you find yourself rolling a joint and passing it to him in between kisses.
And now it’s your routine.
He doesn’t need to text you asking for an eighth and you don’t need to tell him what time and place. He just shows up after practice. Of course, you expect him.
“I hope I didn’t get you addicted.”
“Nah.” Art’s lean frame is already hanging on the doorway and he doesn’t come inside immediately when you welcome him in. Instead, he takes you in his arms. They feel stronger each time. Plants a big wet kiss on your lips. And he is addicted. Just not what you think.

Frozen lake
Sanji x gardener!reader
Warnings: None just fluff y’all already know, fem reader
Word count: 1,398 words
Summary: In which you and Sanji ice skate in a lake. This is from my series of gardener!reader but can be read as a stand alone.
⋆⁺₊❅⋆ ⁺₊❆⋆
Truth be told you hated cold weather, I mean naturally since you were a being of bloom, sunlight, warmth and freshness. Cold weather made all the trees shed their leaves and plants lose their color, everything seemed to lose life, and so did you
You stood with a cape over your your sweater, mittens, fluffy boots and earmuffs shaking uncontrollably at the breeze that seemed like it just wanted to make its way trough your garments “Goddammit we really had to stop here?” You cursed at your captain’s wonderful idea to wonder around the snowy island, so you offered to stay and look after the ship to try and ease your cold but it wasn’t working at all. And to make it worse you were all by yourself, how fun.
You had tried everything to stop shivering but nothing seemed to warm you up, so you decided to at least enjoy the snowy view out in the deck. You looked at the nearby lake, frozen completely at winters arrival, glistening in the few rays of sunshine that seemed to sneak trough the cloudy sky. You had never witnessed something like this in your life since your home island was hot almost all time of year, curiosity made its way trough your thoughts, could you we able to ice skate in there?
“MY LOVE!”
At the distance Sanji waved your way, big jacket on with a huge bag pf shopping that hanged from one of his shoulders, nose red from the cold breeze how cute, you thought. What was he doing back so early? You approached the other side of the deck and examined him as he walked to the ship, but he seemed just fine.
Sanji grunted as he let the heavy bag hit the floor “Hello sunlight” he smiled as you approached him “Sanji why are you back so soon?” You asked as you fixed his jacket “Did you forget something?” The cook let out a small giggle “Just wanted to see your pretty face” he said while squishing your cheeks together “Besides, I know how much you hate cold weather so I thought I’d keep you company”
You helped Sanji put the groceries away as he explained what every new seasoning tasted like and what he could prepare with them. You loved listening to him talk about his passion, his eyes would glisten and his heart felt full as you listened attentively, he would explain every detail and answer all your questions, you’d always take note of stuff you could use even though Sanji would never let you move a finger around his kitchen “I’ll prepare you a hot chocolate my love, then I’ll get started with dinner prep” he said before looking for the ingredients.
As much as you loved hot chocolate more than anything in the world, the idea of Sanji working on his free time didn’t thrilled you, you walked closer to him holding his gaze so he would listen “I was thinking of doing something more fun!”
“Are you sure about this, sunlight?” Sanji walked behind you as you struggled your way through the snow “Yea! I’ve never ice skated before but not gonna lie it looks so fun” it was true tho, as out of character for you as it sounded, the thought of slipping through the cold ice under your feet sounded intriguing and like a good time. You were fascinated by the power of winter, how it managed to transform a warm fresh lake into a big ice cube was so mind blowing, with one finger you touched the cold surface making sure it was solid enough to stand on it, a cold shiver overtook your body at the motion “It looks safe but we still have to be careful” Sanji said while holding your hand, scared you may slip and fall on the frozen lake.
Using your powers you were able to mimic the sharp edge of ice skates with strong branches under both of your boots, you made sure it was sharp and strong enough to skate before standing on the lake. As you slipped trough the ice you started to regret your brilliant idea, keeping your balance was harder than you had expected, you held onto Sanjis hands while he stood outside the ice to keep you steady, he found it absolutely endearing how your hands grew vines to keep you secure in him and how you looked like a baby deer learning how to walk “Okay my love you have to let go slowly, I’ll skate beside you to make sure you don’t fall” of course this man was good at skating, had you seen him fight? He wasn’t black leg Sanji for nothing. You took a deep breath and started to let go of the cook, slipping ungracefully through the ice, you felt lighter and like at any false move you’ll fall on your face “There you go! Now do this” Sanji demonstrated how to move so you wouldn’t just go slipping without direction, hesitantly you moved your legs and began to make your way trough, one of your hands still looking for the blonde for support every time you felt like falling.
When you finally got hang of it, Sanji took both your hands and skated in circles around the lake “Wait sweetheart, too fast!” You exclaimed “Don’t worry I won’t let go” he smiled kindly, you knew Sanji would never do something to endanger you but still being in a situation where you didn’t had control over your movements panicked you. After a while you started to have fun, giggling and following Sanji around, you would lose balance every now and then but it suddenly didn’t mattered if you fell over because you were enjoying the moment “I’m a professional now” you joked while catching up to the blonde “Actually I’m really surprised how easily you got the hang of it sunlight” he looked so proud of you, but more importantly he appreciated how you wanted to spend quality time with him doing something you might dislike, it melted his heart “The student betters their master” you said with a grin while you skated faster and left him behind, but it seemed you spoke too soon. You miscalculated a turn and fell on the cold snow out of the ice, Sanji felt his heart fall to his stomach as he rushed your way “Y/N! y/n are you hurt?” But his worry quickly faded when you started to laugh out loud, a genuine infectious laugh “I guess I’m not that good after all” you said between giggles.
The sound of your laugh made the blonde cooks heart swing, he had never met someone with a laugh like yours, hearing it felt like being bathe in sunlight or having a sweet beverage under the clearest skies. He still wondered how someone like you existed, someone that enjoyed life so much and thanked whatever force of the universe had put you in his path “It surprises me how you manage to look stunning even while falling” he smiled while he offered his hand to help you get up, you took it but instead of getting up you pulled him in making the blonde fall on the white snow, making you laugh even harder.
Sanji had never been around someone that treated him like this, with such playfulness and never afraid of what he may say or do “I guess snow isn’t that bad after all” you said before rolling over and positioning yourself on top of Sanjis chest “But I still prefer feeling warm” you got closer to his face and kissed his red cold nose, when you started to back up the cook positioned his hand behind your neck to keep you from doing so “My darling, I could live in the hottest pits of hell or in the coldest place on earth if it meant spending my days by your side” he whispered before collapsing his lips with yours which you happily welcomed.
“ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING IN THE SNOW WITHOUT ME?” Luffy screamed in the distance which made you both flinch “I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!” this was the last thing you heard before your captain literally catapulted himself in your direction and crushed both of you while laughing.
Truth be told you hated cold weather, but with Sanji any weather was perfect

.... I'd love to see Hyrule's perspective on that whole scene, if you ever want to write it 👀 (absolutely ZERO pressure tho!!!!)
- hero-of-the-wolf
I didn’t want to fight my way through an action scene, so I actually skipped to a bit later, while their parents are being yelled at interrogated for their version of events. So it’s not the exact moment. It’s technically not even in the movie. But I think it’s good anyway.
For people who haven’t seen the second movie in a while, this is right bear the beginning, when the family tried to stop the Underminer and kind of failed, then get sort of arrested because they’re supers and that’s still illegal.
(tw for discussion of guns, and implied past child abuse)
————————————————————
Hyrule chewed on his thumb nail, pressed into a corner of the small room in the police station they’d been herded into. There was a single table and two chairs in here, no windows, and what was obviously a one-way mirror on the wall. Four and Legend had already claimed the chairs, so everyone else was on the floor, or leaning on the table.
The rest of his siblings were mostly milling around the small space, though Wind and Wild had started a rock paper scissors tournament. They were trying to drag Legend and Four into it, with limited success.
Hyrule maybe would have joined them, but his thoughts were too loud, his hands too shaky for the game. Mom and Dad hadn’t come with them in here, they’d been pulled away to some other room while they’d all kept going. And while Hyrule hadn’t been able to see much, he’d seen Impa around, and the man in the suit who’d followed his parents into the room had looked extremely annoyed.
Were they okay? Were they just getting yelled at, or worse?
Were they going to be put in jail?
Hyrule bit down harder, rubbing his tooth along the pad of his thumb. He used to just suck on it when he was smaller, but he’d had the habit more or less beaten out of him. He knew his family wouldn’t care now, but it still felt safer just nibbling on the tip.
“Hyrule?”
Hyrule jumped at the hand on his shoulder, and looked up at Twilight, who was sitting next to him with a concerned look.
“Are you okay? You weren’t hurt in the fight, right?” he asked, and Hyrule shook his head.
“No. Just some little bruises,” he replied quietly, and went back to chewing on his thumb. “Are... do you know what’s gonna happen?”
Twilight breathed out, and leaned against the wall, watching Wind pump his fist as he beat Legend in a match. “Not exactly, no. But Mom and Dad will be okay. And us too. There’s a reason the whole superhero protection thing exists.”
Hyrule swallowed, and looked away as one of his worries came to the forefront of his mind. “Is there... an adopted super protection thing?”
Twilight blinked, then looked at him, understanding crossing his face. “Oh, Hyrule, is that what you’re worried about?”
Hyrule gave a tiny nod, and Twilight scooted over, putting an arm around his shoulders.
“They can’t take you away from us,” Twilight said reassured, eyes sharp. “They won’t. I remember Dad reading all kinds of laws about it, they can’t do that. And even if they tried, we wouldn’t let them. I’m sure the protection program covers that too, don’t worry.“
Hyrule nodded, relieved at the assurance, but still feeling unsettled. This room was oppressive, and the concrete was starting to dig into his spine. Not to mention... other stuff.
“...Something else bothering you?” Twilight asked after a minute, and Hyrule shrugged.
“I just haven’t had a gun pulled on me in a while,” he murmured, remembering just how many weapons had been pointed at them earlier today. He’d completely frozen at the clicks he’d heard. “I mean, at the island yeah, but that was kinda different. I guess I just forgot how sc—...startling it could be.”
Twilight went very still.
A few feet away, Wild crowed in victory as he destroyed Wind’s rock with his paper.
“Hyrule,” Twilight said in a voice quiet enough that only he could hear it, “how often have you had a gun pulled on you?”
Hyrule went back to his thumb again. He had a feeling Twilight didn’t actually want to know the answer to that question. Especially since Hyrule didn’t really... know the exact number. So he kept his mouth shut, and merely gave him a little shrug.
That was obviously the wrong answer though, since Twilight’s face screwed up, and his jaw tightened.
“Twi, it didn’t happen that often, it’s just bad memories, don’t worry about it,” Hyrule begged, suddenly nervous Twilight would do something. He wouldn’t yell at a police officer, would he?
“It’s not just— you—” Twilight struggled for a second to speak, face tight. He pressed a hand to the bridge of his nose, looking a lot like their father as he took a deep breath and slowly let it out. “...you know how messed up that is, right? That you’ve had guns pulled on you by people who were supposed to take care of you?”
“I do. It’s just not a huge deal, Twilight,” Hyrule sighed, going back to nibbling at his thumb. “It is what it is. Or was. Whatever.”
“It’s still messed up,” Twilight muttered, and squeezed Hyrule a little tighter. “...All of this is.”
Neither of them said much after that, and Hyrule set his head on Twilight’s shoulder, relieved at something other than concrete for a cushion. The rest of their brothers continued with rock paper scissors, and Twilight and Hyrule watched in near-silence, Twilight lightly rubbing his shoulder.
The worry for their parents and the situation at a whole sat over the room like a shroud, dampening even Wind’s smiles.
But I’m not alone, Hyrule thought, a brief wave of relief sweeping over him. He leaned a little more against Twilight, and his brother squeezed him in return.
At least we’ve got that.

Long time listener, first time caller (so to speak XD) and I’m absolutely ADORING the Primarch content so why not officially throw my hat into the prompt-making ring??? My brain worm of the day is something in the same vein (haha blood puns) of Sanguinius’ where there gets to be a private more relaxed moment. Prying our dear Primarch away from his work for just a few precious minutes, maybe longer if it can be managed, to calm tf down for a bit. These guys are overworked to hell, they could all use some TLC let’s be so fr rn. I couldn’t nail down exactly who to pick but I did narrow it down to a top three, Dorn, Rob, and Magnus. Those three I think are the ones most likely to literally pass out at their desks (impressive given their demigod status but I’m sure they’d fuckin manage to somehow XD). Idk if there’s much to really be done with this idea I’m just in my “let these guys be human for 4 seconds plz” feelings again 😭
As always love your writing, Misty! Have fun, no rush, no pressure ❤️❤️❤️
(P.S. Plz tell your cutie chaos birb all us readers say “hi!!!!” XD)

Author's note: So you sent this in and then I just kinda blacked out and when I came to I had this in my drafts. Enjoy.
This post has been approved and sponsored by the Imperial Fists.
Summary: Dorn takes a moment of respite during a particularly frigid night on Inwit.
Relationships: Rogal Dorn/Fem!Reader (no pronouns are used tho it's just the vibe if you know what I mean)
Warnings: General 40kness so mentions of war death etc, Dorn being pretty emotionally stoic, Me worldbuilding too much
Word Count: 1567
Inwit is cold.
Dorn had told you this as the Eternal Crusader moved to finishing mooring on the frozen planet, and you'd nodded in understanding. You lack the convenience of sealed Astartes armor, the cushion of air heated thanks to their unusually hot body temperature.
You knew already that Dorn's homeworld was an ice planet, so you didn't quite understand why he was telling you again.
What Dorn seemed to not specify however, was just how cold.
Your bed is covered in four different pelts, and you're still freezing. You have a blanket just for your feet, and they still feel like they're going to fall right off. At least during the day, you had an outer layer of clothing made of thick fabrics, in a design and shape more than likely traditional to Inwit. You assume Dorn had it requisitioned for you, but he mentioned nothing of it other than sparing a glance in your direction when he first saw you in it.
But now that outer layer lays on the trunk at the foot of the bed, and you're seriously considering attempting to sleep in it.
You know it's snowing outside, it always is, the fresh white layer of snow reflecting the light of the moon and illuminating more than what could be seen on a warmer planet at night. You can see more snowflakes fluttering downward, hitting the icy window. Your teeth feel like they are going to clatter right out of your mouth.
Inwit is cold.
And because of it you haven't been able to sleep, merely lay in bed trying to distract yourself enough to maybe drift off.
It would be better if Dorn was here; His body runs so hot you probably would've been able to leech the heat right from him and perhaps get a few moments of rest.
But Dorn is still tirelessly planning, as rarely does the man ever indulge in rest. He'll often times take on the the extra work to let you, one of the few silent ways to tell you he cares about you. Now is one of those times you so desperately wished he wouldn't do that and just join you before you actually froze to death.
Giving in you lean upward and kick your feet outward, sliding off the massive bed and hauling one of the smaller pelts with you. Your hands pull it tight over your shoulders, while slipping on your shoes. Without them just putting your feet on the floor felt like they were stepping on a solid block of ice.
You know Dorn is still at work in the messy workshop he uses as his personal room. If he won't come to you, then you'll come to him.
It's less cold now that you're on your feet and your blood is pumping, leaving the private quarters and walking into the hall. It's late, so it's largely empty apart from the occasional serf at work. You quickly pass by and keep walking until you find the door down at the far end of the hall. One of many in this maze of a building. You'd call it less so a palace, and more so a fortress.
You open the door and gently close it behind you, looking through the dim lighting across the room. You can see Dorn's outline as he sits planted at that massive desk. He's leaning against his hand, elbow seated firmly against the top of the desk. His hand doesn't even seem to be writing, and for a moment, you almost think he's asleep until he turns to you.
"What are you doing here?" You tug the pelt tighter around your shoulders and try to stifle a shiver.
"I couldn't sleep. Shivering too much." Dorn's face is just as stoic as always, though it softens just the tiniest at you admittance of discomfort.
"You will get used to it soon enough." You sincerely hope you do, because you're not sure how long you'd be able to stand this if you weren't.
Rubbing your hands together you swear you can see your breath, even in a room being warmed by a large but waning fire. Keeping fires blazing nonstop is considered wasteful by many natives of Inwit, given the scarcity of materials. It may be easier now given the ability to import, but Inwit being a Ice World will always remain. Life will never be truly easy. Not even close.
Trying to hold back a shiver you walk closer to him, watching his eyes glance to you for a moment. He's paying attention to what you're doing, even as you slip underneath his arm. You twist and turn until you sit across his thighs, leaning back against his arm as you look over his desk.
There's blueprints on them; Rough ones, scattered with various small notes and adjustments for a future draft.
"What are these for?" You don't really expect an answer, but Dorn does actually surprise you with one.
"Another wing for the Imperial Palace." You hum, looking over the mess of lines as your legs drape over his own. They only make basic sense to you, learning by sight in situations much like this.
His free hand lowers off the desk to cup the side of your thigh instead of leaning his jaw on it, keeping you from sliding off of his lap. It also holds your pelt blanket closer to you, keeping you trapped in a small pocket of warm air. Thankfully he isn't wearing his armor, so you can actually feel the heat of his body against you.
"You should go back to bed." You press harder against his chest as if worried he'll remove you as he continues to plot out rough measurements and structural supports.
"You aren't there." Dorn draws a singular line from one drafted spire to another, writing something along it.
"I don't need to be." You purse your lips.
Dorn has always been like this. He speaks with such indifference one would think that he doesn't feel anything; You wouldn't blame them for thinking it. You know he does, and quite deeply, but he's been harshly trained over so many years to barricade it so deep within himself that it will never seep out.
Dorn wants you to rely on him, not depend on him. He's formed and molded his legion under the same idea; That you should rely closely on your allies as they're pivotal to your survival, but you should be able to stand just as strong on your own. You shouldn't need him to sleep till morn.
At least, that's what Dorn wants to want. Sometimes he finds himself doubting. You aren't an Astartes; He brought you into a world of demi-gods and giants expecting you to hold your own, but he'll always desire to protect you from it all. You provide him with a tiny shard of glass that reflects back the humanity they're fighting for. That him and his sons had resigned to never being able to see. Sometimes he wants nothing more than to indulge in more moments like this.
Your head lays against his chest, and you divulge in the warmth after spending so long near freezing.
These blueprints span the entire desk and even curl off the edge at one end, with various notes drawn over them. There's so many redraws and revisions that it's hard to tell whats what, you don't even know how he reads them. But you still watch him anyways with hooded eyes.
"Dorn..." He knows what you're going to ask, as his hand stays firm and unyielding on the side of your leg so you don't slide.
"When I am done."
You had come here with the hope to bring him back with you, but now you find yourself trapped here with him; His personal vox making noise from the corner of the desk.
He silently hands you the device, and you begin reading them out while he continues to work.
"Requisition orders got approval, news that the Faithful Servant has been waylaid by a severe technical malfunction," You yawn. "Alexis Polux wishes to speak with you."
You remember that name. He's an extremely competent and surprisingly humble Astartes, from Inwit the same as Dorn. He's apparently recently been made Captain, judging by the honorific attached to his name. You remember speaking to him once. He deserves the title.
"And... Something about the Night Lords. They," You yawn again. "One of their ships drifted towards a battle barge a bit too close for comfort." Dorn doesn't find that surprising. The sons of Konrad enjoy those sorts of intimidation tactics, trying to goad fights and spread unease through even their supposed allies.
Dorn holds on your words waiting for you to continue as his pen slides over the parchment, until he finally looks away from his blueprints for the first time since you entered the room.
You're asleep. Your head is leaning against his chest, and mouth just lightly parted as you breathe. You had completely failed in your attempt to get him away from his work, not that it had a high chance of working to begin with. Dorn watches for a moment before he finally sits down his pen and takes the vox from your loose hands, setting the device back down when he'd taken it from. That same hand returns to you and fixes the pelt you'd brought here, keeping it from falling to the floor.
Picking up his pen again Dorn sighs- and continues to work.

23:15 – 지성 (Jisung)
P: Jisung x female reader | G: timestamp, fluff, comfort, established relationship au | Inc: period pain, movie night, blanket fort, dropping a glass | Wc: 353 | W: broken glass, period mention| R: G
Min's notes; fully inspired by the time my cramps were so bad i was frozen still in my kitchen. i didn't break a glass tho-
Y/n freezes when the glass slips out of her hand, breath caught in her throat as shockwaves of pain go up the lower part of her back. There’s broken glass on the floor, water everywhere and period-induced agony; it’s overwhelming. Unable to bring herself to move even a step, y/n’s rooted to the spot, tears very quickly burning her eyes.
“Baby?” Jisung calls out, and y/n feels the drip of tears on her cheek, unable to call out to her boyfriend, “is everything okay? Did something break?”
The resulting silence consumes Jisung, compelling him to untangle himself from the blanket fort and wonder into the kitchen. Worries chip away at him during the short distance from the living room and the kitchen, and Jisung’s heart drops when he sees y/n. Standing with glass at her feet.
He sees the tears, and more or less leaps into action.
“Lift your foot for me?” He asks, brushing what he can into the dustpan and checking for any cuts. There aren’t any, and relief ultimately washes into his chest. He dries the water off of the floor, drops the cloth in the sink and offers to help y/n walk into the living room to continue their movie night.
Y/n melts into her boyfriend’s arms, basking in his embrace. The pain’s still there, and y/n allows herself to be waddled into the living room, bundling under the blanket fort, and pulling the nearest cushion flush against her abdomen. Jisung returns a few moments later, hot water bottle in one hand, painkillers, and a glass water in the other. Her saviour.
“Delivery for my favourite person ever?”
“Han Jisung you’re a godsend.” She downs the painkillers, replacing the cushion with the hot water bottle. The relief is immediate, and y/n plants several appreciative kisses onto Jisung’s face.
“Thank you baby, and, you know, about the glass—”
“Don’t worry about it~ it’s just one glass, we can replace it, but” Jisung shuffles in closer, bringing his face right up to y/n’s ear. “A few more kisses would be perfect, you know?”
Y/n rolls her eyes, fond.
“C’mere you.”

Currently my 3rd time tying to post this. Tomarktober Day 1 : Cold. Enjoy.
DISCLAIMER: I have no idea what I'm doing. Never done this before, never even posted a fic.(am trying tho. It turned out to be much longer than I intended so I'm still wrestling with that)
Mark shivered, pulling the blankets even farther up to his face. The sun had long since sunk behind the horizon, leaving behind it the evening chill that came with fall. It didn't usually bother the blue-eyed boy too much, but this year the crappy radiator that heated their whole crappy apartment was broken. He could practically feel the cold seeping through the thin covers and settling deep inside his bones.
He tossed and turned for a few hours, willing his body to warm up. Mark had finally capitulated, accepting another sleepless night where he found refuge in the shower, when the door to his room slowly creeped open.
"Mark?" A tiny voice spoke out through the darkness, even squeaker than the door it had opened. "I'm fucking cold."
Mark groaned, swiping a hand across his face and closing his eyes.
"What do you want Tom?" he replies, "besides my sympathy, 'cause you're not getting any."
Tom paused, and in the musky light that came in from the street lights outside the window, Mark could tell that he was scratching his arms. Something he did when he was nervous.
He sighed and pulled up the covers on one side of his bed.
"Come on, you don't even have to ask," Mark smiles, watching as Tom looks up in surprise, clutching the blankets he brought from his own bed tighter around his shoulders.
He takes a hesitant step forward, as if testing the truthfulness of Mark's offer. He wasn't usually known to give in so easily. Mark rolls his eyes, not caring if Tom can even see it in the low light. "Hurry up! It's cold!"
Tom crawled in under the blankets, tossing the ones he brought over top of them. He curled closer to Mark, who threw an arm under his head and pulled him closer so they could share heat. The brown-eyed boy nuzzled further into Mark's chest, enjoying the way the other boy's scent still clung to him even after a shower. He could feel Mark smiling down at him, felt the soft touch of his lips as he pressed a kiss to the crown of his head, face buried in Tom's messy brown hair.
"I love you," Mark whispers, pulling Tom impossibly closer to him, until he can feel his heart beating against his skin. Until they're so close they're almost one.
"I love you too," Tom replies, before pressing his frozen-ass feet to Mark's leg.
Basking in the pride of the most ear-piercing, most girlish scream he had ever heard, Tom closes his eyes and drifts off to dreamland, warm, contented, and in love.

Hello! ⭐ Maybe "i had a dream about you" for Raina? Feel free to change it tho!
Hey there! <3
I kept Raina, but hoping you don’t mind, I tried to dip my feet in the Whale AU 2.0, the fully original one. I blame @theluckywizard for putting the HawkexInquisitor bug in my ear. Then I remembered that my toxic trait is recycling characters. I know this, as all OC content here will interest three people, but please indulge me. Raina will change her name, but I kept her as Raina still for commodity. A sketch at the bottom!
Ah for your knowledge: we’re in Iceland in the Edwardian Era, I still haven’t set a precise date, but I’m pending towards 1910.
Tis the prompt list
Morning, Noon and Nightime, too
“I had a dream about you”
[ Famale Hawke x Female Lavellan || An Edwardian AU || 3256 words || CW: Shipwrecks, storms, non-graphic description of violence ]
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown Till human voices wake us, and we drown. - T.S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
Raina was born by the ocean. Raised on it. Her first steps had been on her father’s boat, her first memories were by the seaside. She knew the ocean, her feet were more stable on a ship than on dry land. She knew how to move, knew how to read the waves, knew when a storm was coming and it was time to seek shelter and drop the anchor, knew how to move if the coast was too far and the anchor wouldn’t reach the bottom.
That night, nothing mattered.
That night was cold and wet and salty, she was cold to her bones, the ship swayed left and right, waves scroshing down the bridge white with foam, too much for her footing to keep sure.
At a certain point, she had to hang on the railing and wait for the next wave to shift the Hvalur around and sweep the bridge. It made it slippery and wet, but she had something to hang onto and avoid slipping down, down, in the black of the water and to a certain death.
She was desperately trying to reach the wheel, but it seemed like the hull extended longer and longer the more steps she took. The more difficult, harsh and slippery steps she took. It felt like for each step she made, the storm pushed her back two.
Rain filled her eyes, it didn’t matter how much oilskin she had covered herself with. The ship rolled too much for it to be effective, the Northern Atlantic cold and unforgiving. It mattered little that it was the same ocean that saw her whole life passing by.
She used her hands to drag herself further. Further. A little more, headed to the stern lantern. Closer and closer, she gritted her teeth in effort, pushing her heavy, cold legs to work for a little more. Just a little more, and-
- someone yelled to her back, someone Raina knew.
If she thought her blood was frozen from the cold before, she was wrong. It froze now, recognizing that voice as her brain filled with dread.
She turned, heart beating fast, in time to see two things.
The first, was that whales were blowing in the water, puff glowing starkly white against the blackness of the surroundings, black noses emerging, mastodontic tails breaking the waves right after. Everything was fast and quick, but those tails, growing bigger and bigger -too big, a part of her brain knew they weren’t as-
The second thing was Aisling, climbing over the railing of the vessel. One foot, the other, hands propping herself up on the border…
Panic took her, making her limbs suddenly light, too light. She forgot about the ship -she never reached the wheel in time and the ship wrecked, she knew, trying to change it was pointless anyway- and lunged for the other woman. The ship was lost, but Aisling was not. Aisling would not be. She let go, slipped and turned, yelled at her not to jump, it wasn’t-
- Thunder cracked in the sky, illuminating the night, and everything seemed to go slower.
Raina turned, in time to see a tail -huge, enormous, too enormous- contrasting black against the whitened sky, horribly close to her. Aisling slipped and fell with a yelp that wasn’t happiness, was dread.
Raina knew what was about to happen. She knew it all too well.
She saw the same scene before, after all, even if she couldn’t remember when or why, and some details where off. It was the first time that Aisling was there, but the rest, she knew.
Time sped up, recovering the pause of before. The tail descended on the ship, heavy and quick, the ship tilted to it obediently.
A crash, a boom, the pavement slipped from under her feet and her hand lost grip, Raina collided heavily on the water.
The ocean filled her clothes, slipped inside her oilskin, her trousers and sweater and shirt. She thrashed madly, confused and not understanding where was up and where was down.
Everything was black, she never felt so cold in her life, nor so scared.
Or well, she already saw and felt everything there, and she, indeed, felt just as cold and just as scared.
But she couldn’t remember when.
She saw Aisling back again, taken down by huge jaws full of teeth, eyes void.
She screamed, and her lungs filled with water and salt.
A familiar flavour, at least, just before she drowned.
---
Raina woke up screaming from the bottom of her lungs, jolting awake and up.
She couldn’t breathe -or well, she could but it was difficult- her heart thrummed in her ears, and she was still mortally cold, and felt wet. Everything she saw was black, black, a vast nothingness and an infinite ocean where up and down were the same thing, and each meant death.
She struggled to breathe, body not fully responding, blinking and squinting to get a clue of where she was, anything to tell her that it wasn’t the bottom of the Atlantic, there were no whales around her.
Something shifter beside her, something else squeaked from the same direction, but it made her just more on pins and needles than she was before.
“Raina?”
A voice, groggy with sleep, which brought a too vivid image to her mind. Not being able to see her didn’t help: she kept imagining her maimed and mauled, brought down in the ocean by sharp teeth.
“It’s ok. It’s just me. It’s fine, you’re safe.”
Aisling kept on, shifting closer, voice soft and quiet. Not the voice of a person who is dying. It calmed her a little, but not seeing her didn’t fully help, even if slowly breathing was becoming easier.
“Can I touch you?”
She asked, and slowly, oh so slowly she approached. Raina felt the faintest of touches, barely the shifting of the cloth on her shoulders, brushing over her skin. When she didn’t react, the touch became a real one, hands placing delicately on her shoulders. Gradually, very gradually, fingers squeezed, and when nothing else happened, the squeeze became a hug, a cheek rested on her shoulder, she felt hair brushing on her jaw.
Her body wouldn’t move on its own, but she let Aisling gently move her, to lean on her more thoroughly first -her fingers combed through her hair, nails gently scratching her scalp- and then down, back to bed, when her breathing got more regular and her shoulders unclenched some.
She remembered where she was, then, and why it was so dark.
It wasn’t the ocean, it was Aisling’s hut. The embers in the fireplace must have extinguished, and the rain still ticked on the glass of the curtained window, behind the steel bars of the bed’s headboard. They were sharing the bed because Aisling received some bad news about her research, yesterday, and all she had asked was if she could sleep in her bed tonight, and not in the hammock hanging from the ceiling. Raina couldn’t tell her no, not when she had looked so uncharacteristically down. It was her bed, after all, and Raina had been occupying it since two months. Two months since Aisling found her on shore, miraculously still alive after the shipwreck. She tried to offer to sleep in the hammock, but she was too tall for it, and too heavy for the hook in the ceiling. So, they shared.
Sweat had cooled down on her skin and she shivered. Quickly, the blankets were back on her. Aisling shifted around, as she kept chatting in a soft voice about what she was doing and why. Tucking her in, so she was fully covered, the night was chilly and they both didn’t want her to get another fever. Fixing the sheet and the blanket together, Raina apparently had twisted them around while thrashing in sleep.
It was too much, and a part of her brain was screaming to tell her to stop -she would have, Raina had only to ask. One thing was pining and finding her cute and not acting upon it not to make the situation any weirder than it already was, another was sharing a bed, waking her up in the middle of the night and taking advantage of her kindness like so.
Maybe it was the nightmare, maybe it was still some lingering fear that clutched her throat and her heart like so, maybe it was the bone-deep need of knowing she was unharmed, she wasn’t bloody and drowning.
Raina listened to the other part of her brain, and as soon as Aisling too, finally, curled down beneath the covers, she shifted forward and slipped her arms around her waist, dragging her closer.
She felt the other gasp, the chatting stopped for a moment. Raina squeezed her eyes hard and clutched the other’s body closer, if but for a moment before rejection came crushing hard on her.
The moment passed, another came. And another.
The next, she felt Aisling sigh and shift. Not to slip away, but to slip an arm in the crook of her neck and hug her shoulders back, cheek resting on top of her head and fingers coming back to caress her hair, tread in short black locks leisurely.
“Don’t let me go.” It slipped out of Raina’s lips automatically, without her thinking too much about it. She would have hated how hoarse and whiny it sounded, if there had been anyone else with her.
“I won’t.” Aisling just told her, staying right where she was and hugging her tighter in all answer.
Soft and steady between her arms and under her cheek, she pressed her ear on her shoulder, and felt her heart beating, her chest rise and fall with breath.
She smelled liked salty water, but on her, it didn’t make her antsy.
Her breath calmed, and she forget embarrassment and pining, and let the solid body in her arm, the fingers in her hair, Iull her back to a dreamless sleep.
---
The next time she woke up, the hut was illuminated by grey light filtering from the other window in the kitchen corner.
The day was cloudy, and there was still noise of rain, more intense on the glass, even if curtains were drawn to cover the window on the bed.
Raina, on her belly, took a moment to get used to the waking world again. She didn’t feel so tired after all, even if she felt a weird pressure on her back, pinning her down.
The cupboards and cabinets were all in their place, with the stove. The table was still full of papers, books and writing materials in terrible order, the fireplace, the yellow armchair beside the bed, in front of her, was still there. Everything -the few things that could fit that barrack, that was, and they had to choose between the table and a second bed because both wouldn’t have fitted- was exactly where she left them the night before.
It felt silly, now, to have actually believed that it was the ocean and everything could have been swept away by the storm.
She couldn’t see in the dark the whales and waves and sea animals painted on the walls. And even if she could, Aisling was an enthusiastic painter, but not a talented one. She knew that was a seal –“a sea lion, that’s very different”- only because she tried to guess and mistook it for an otter first. Little to fear, even in the night and after a nightmare.
She shifted, trying to get awake and at least get some of her dignity back by getting breakfast ready, when Aisling groaned, too close for comfort, and the weight on her back shifted, something squeezed her waist.
Raina fell back down with wide eyes, turning her head as she could to glimpse the curve of Aisling’s back at her side, disappearing up her back when she couldn’t see. One of her arms stuck close to her bust.
Fuck.
Embarrassment came all back, and the exact memory of what she did in the night crushed on her barely awake conscience. Well, she was fully awake now, and ready to panic.
Aisling had found her after the shipwreck and welcomed her in her home. In the home that was allegedly too small for one person alone. She left her her bed, slept in an old hammock that she hung on a hook on the wall that couldn’t have surrected Raina’s weight. Aisling never complained, never once even when they quarreled because all the biologist could speak about were whales and Raina didn’t want to hear anything about them that wasn’t how monstrous they were.
And two months later, she took advantage of her kindness in that way.
Hell, she had a fiancée back home. A façade of one, but still she had one.
And Raina didn’t want to intrude letting her know that she could as well see her as more than a friend. Now it would have been difficult to explain otherwise.
But, as her pining mind scrambled to find a passable excuse that kept her behaviour proper and fitting, Aisling shifted again. She felt her nuzzling in the space between her shoulder blades, rustling her shirt, squeeze her waist with her arms and curl up more snugly against her side, groaning with a groggy voice.
“Mmmmh, five minutes more…”
Which was perfectly, blissfully normal, and made Raina snort, despite her heart beating too fast.
“Let me go-” she didn’t want her to let her go. “-and I’ll get breakfast ready while you sleep some more?”
Another groan from her back, longer.
“No. You’re warm and cozy.”
That didn’t help.
“And you told me not to let you go.”
That helped even less.
Raina cleared her throat, biting her tongue before her traitorous mouth could answer with something else she would have regretted later.
She shifted amongst drowsy protests and arms trying to keep her there -that helped very, very little- and seeing her face all pouty still with her eyes squeezed close made her want to bend down and kiss her.
Bad.
She bravely resisted the urge, and deftly slipped her pillow between Aisling’s arms, slipping down the bed and depositing her back on the mattress. She ruffled her hair -that was proper, maybe- and tucked the blanket up her shoulder.
And went directly to the kitchen, hoping that cooking would have cleared her mind more, and maybe distracted Aisling enough to forget to talk about things Raina wasn’t exactly ready to discuss.
She lit the fire in the hearth and then approached the kitchen. Picked from the larder eggs, butter, sugar, milk and flour. It was a pancake day she decided, and shifted bowls and tools out of their cupboards. Cooking had been something she took up since she could stand for long enough. Partly to thank Aisling for her hospitality, partly to not feel so much a dead weight and get a little less restless while forced to rest, partly because Aisling was even worse a cook than she was a painter.
And, the stove allowed her to give her back to Aisling, and clear her mind with another task to keep her hands busy. Crack the eggs, mix them with sugar, add the melted butter and the milk, add flour, little by little.
Skillet on the fire, she let some butter melt on the iron, swinging the pan back and fort to distribute it.
Mechanical tasks that kept her attention on them. Soon enough, whatever emotion was swirling around in her mind -how Aisling smelled like sea-salt, the exact curve of her waist- tuned down, substituted by pouring batter and checking it didn’t burn up.
It lasted little. Muffled steps on the wooden planks, a chair got dragged back, and her roommate sighed heavily, paper rustling under her arms.
“Pancakes?”
“Yup.”
“Wow, what’s the occasion?”
“You had a rough day yesterday… I thought it could cheer you up.” It was true. Also, a thank you for not making it weird.
“Mh.” She hummed, with a certain tone that told Raina she wasn’t convinced. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“About what?” Raina asked back, too briskly maybe, her muscles contracting.
Aisling got the hint and waited before answering. Her eyes burned on Raina’s neck, but she soldiered on, flipping one pancake on a plate and pouring another ladleful of batter on the skillet, rolling it around to spread it in a circle. Just another officer checking her work, she was. Nothing she hadn’t faced before. Or so she tried to tell herself.
“What did you dream about?”
Aisling, finally, asked, voice impossibly soft, hesitating as if she wasn’t fully sure she even could ask.
They’ve been in contact in a narrow space for enough time -Raina spent almost half her life on ships to know that time didn’t matter much in relationships of any kind between humans when space was scarce. And the hut was narrower than any ship she ever worked on. She knew that the biologist wouldn’t have minded if she had changed the topic. She knew all too well. And yet…
…Yet, that kindness melted away fears. She knew, from experience, that if she had told her, she wouldn’t have minded. As she wasn’t minding last night accomodations and talking to her normally now.
Raina sighed heavily, flipping the pancake around. She burned it a little, in all her musing, and she glared at him as if it was its fault.
After a minute, she slid it on the other plate she had readied -her own-, and left the skillet on the stove on its own, turning towards Aisling.
“I dreamt about you.”
She declared, simple as that. No pain, no gain.
Aisling’s cheek turned pinker, and it was her turn to lower her eyes.
“Oh.” She just told her. “I see. Well, I must have been horrible if you woke up so startled, I apologise.”
Raina laughed at that. Let it to her to apologise for someone else’s dreams. Aisling turned her face up, giggling shily with her.
“Anything else?” Aisling asked, a smile still on her face.
“Well...” Raina shrugged, turning back to the skillet. More butter on it, and more pancakes when the butter melted. “The usual.”
She told her, ironizing on how only her could try and make friend with a gigantic whale on a murder spree. It made Aisling laugh, agreeing and counter-arguing -as Raina knew she would have- that the whale surely had her good reasons, probably was just scared and didn’t do it on purpose.
In the morning light, with laughter filling the room, the perfume of sweets in the air and rain ticking rhythmically on the windows and buttering the sea outside the window, it all seemed less scary and less serious than it did even half an hour before.
They ate their breakfast, still bickering and laughing about how murderous whales exactly were, as their usual.
Aisling said nothing about the night and sleeping hugged together.
But, she shifted on the chair, collecting her legs on the sittee -she could sit straight only if she took an effort- and one of her feet rested on Raina’s chair, at her right over the corner of the table. Toes gently resting on her thigh.
Raina felt herself blushing, Aisling smiled and her cheeks were pink as well. Nobody said anything about it, and it felt right, there and then, before another day fully began.
It didn’t help at all, but Raina didn’t mind it.

꧁ꕥ꧂
it was a lovely day at one of the Highschools in Musutafu. Students were doing their thing like running by the halls, ranting in the bathroom, and making out at shady places. The school bell rang indicating that it was time for lunch
[Name] was planning eating outside school at a boba shop to find peace and quiet, along with her friend Minju who is a fellow introvert but not as blunt as her since the personality runs in her family.
As [Name] was heading towards the gate, hse heard girls and boys whispering about a boy by the gate saying he's from UA and won 2nd place at the sports festival, now what was a UA student doing at a highschool and outside the school campus. She arrived near the gate but stopped walking once she saw a very familiar figure standing by the gate holding a bento, the bento he held was the reason why [Name] and Minju are headed outside of school and also the reason why the school guard allows them to do so.
The boy in UA uniform as looking around obviously searching for someone until he held eye contacts with the same terquise eyes, [Name]s face deadpanned as a strand of her red hair got into her face. She could only stand there and stare with a face that says "what-in-the-world". The boy by the gate with similar terquise eyes and red hair form the left side of his face approached the girl seeing as her feet was stuck on the ground.
"Well...seems like our Boba date is cancelled." Minju sigh while [Name] groans. Minju gave [Name] a pat on her shoulders before leaving giving both sibling some privacy.
All the students eyes were focused on the boy and [Name] as he approaches her with the bento, [Name] still frozen in her place.
He finally stopped Infront of [Name] as the students began the gossips.
"What are you doing here?"
"You left your bento."
"You could've just texted me."
"it's not like you were gonna reply."
"Still I was about to leave for boba."
"Rice is important."
"Bold coming form a soba only eater."
"I'm only worried, please do take your bento with you next time."
"...I will."
[Name] took the bento from his hand without touching his fingers, he then build up the courage to put his hands on her head and pattd it. [Name]s checks went red from the fuzzy feeling she gets whenever the boy upfront gives her affection.
"Shoto..."
"...yes?"
"Why are you outside of UA? And how exactly did you get my bento?."
"...through hard work?"
"...I-...never mind that, thank you though and I'm sorry if I got you into trouble by bringing me lunch, your school is farther than mine." [Name] sighs looking down in shame and embarrassment.
"It's okay, atleast you get to eat, I have to go now, please take care and finish your bento, you got me worried there." Shoto said reassuring the upset girl upfront by putting his hands from her head to her shoulders.
"I'm sorry, I was about to go buy some boba tho." The girl sighs in disappoinment feeling deflated.
The boy could only smile and chuckle lowly enough for anyone to not notice, amused by the girls small tantrum.
You can still get boba though, just hide your bento." He says "I have to go now, see you for dinner, take care."
" Yeah...you too." [Name] softly said, and with that the boy left leaving her standing with her bento.
"[Name],behind you." She heard Minju say. She turned around to see a large crowd of people or...students, whispering, giggling and staring at the scene.
"Well, would you look at that...freshly made tea." Minju whispers towards [Name].
"Definitely." [Name] mumbles.
"Omg!! Himura!!! Was that your boyfriend!!!??"
"You're dating THE Todoroki Shoto?!!!"
"OMG!! I can't believe he's from UA!!"
"he's hot!!" "Man you're so lucky!!!"
"Let's get out of here." [Name] mumbles, as she grabs Minjus wrist and hurriedly walked towards the gates as the students behind won't stop teasing and following. Nearing by the gate, the guard saw both of the girls distress and understood the situation. The moment [Name] and Minju step out of the school grounds, the guard then used his quirk to manipulate metal and closed the gate immediately.
"Sorry about that girls, I saw what happened. I'm glad there wasn't any paparazzi near." The guard said, nahh this man knew nothing about [Name] and the UA boy but students were too young for the media to create such scandals and he worried that it might happen to the children at school.
"Thank you Mr. Hanagaki." Minju pants while [Name] started dusting her skirt.
"Headed at the boba shop?" The guard asks.
"Yes please, can we?" [Name] asked polite.
"Sure, go on. These gremlin ls won't stop either way, hopefully they go back and mind their own damn business." The guard mutters.
>۞ 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙥 ۞<
"This isn't why I used my mother's last name." [Name] sighs, slurping on her boba rather aggressively. "Now I can't convince them seeing as how out last names are different, even worse is that they can't tell we literally look the same."
"You have a point." Minju slurps on her boba the opposite way [Name] did.
""See for dinner" ughh what was he thinking? Now everyone thinks it's a date." [Name] grunts Micki her brothers tone and voice "Look I get that he's worried, but what if-"
"Girl shut it and finish your lunch, we'll talk somewhere private. You'll never know sasaeng fans are around." Minju taunts.
"Those people still exist?!"
"No...I just like to scare you."
>۞ 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙥 ۞<
The whole class hour was very uncomfortable because no matter where the two goes all they could here we're whispers and giggles, some even glared at the two. Both were not allowing the other to get separated no matter the situation Incase the other gets bombarded with students.
"[Name] Todoroki." A classmate whispered form another seat.
"Cut it out! Please continue Himura." The teacher scolds the student and focuses back on [Name].
"W-well cells are to divide differently since there two types of cell division, mitosis and meiosis." [Name] slightly stutter at the start but managed to keep composer. "Mitosis is for the body cell while Meiosis is for the um- sex cells."
"Well done Himura, you may sit down"
"I wonder what Todoroki's thinking about." A random guy at the back whispers.
"I wonder what a knucklehead like him is thinking about." Minju whispers towards [Name] who smirks.
"Was I talking to you?" He grunts.
"Did I mention a name? Unless you are actually a knucklehead." Minju mumbles back.
The guy scoffed, he was offended yes, but it was better to shut up than get in trouble. For once he used his brain.
The school bell rang again after three subjects and all students began to stood up from their seats while [Name] ran towards Minju and help her shove their stuff not giving a damn about their poor notebooks getting bend. Both ran outside the halls as fast as they can ignoring the scolds and teases from around them.
"No running by the halls!!!!"
"she's excited for her date!!!"
>۞ 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙥 ۞<
Minju bid [Name] goodbye seeing her house just three steps ahead and went to the other side to her home too. She reached the door but paused, letting out a long sigh before sliding the door open. She took of her shoes and aligned it but noticed the only foot wear she saw was Shotos outdoor shoe and the other members indoor shoe, she ignored it and took her fluffy slippers headed towards the kitchen to look for left over mochi. She noticed the place being so silent, it wasn't unusual since she was sometimes left at home but this time it was with Shoto. The only thing she could practically hear were the birds outside and here brothers thuds and grunts from his training room, she admired how Shoto is still training even if he wasn't told to and she admired how dedicated he was to be a hero without their fathers personality engraved on his reputation. But... that's also the reason why she hates him, the whole Todoroki family knows how [Name] resent every each one of them, even Fuyumi. She just can't help but be manipulated by her own thoughts and loneliness causing her to be so independent and hate every being that breathes, aside from her best friend and Touya, but to keep her good girl image she had to keep her mouth shut.
She lazily walked her way to the fridge but noticed a paper stocked to it.
"Hi bb [Name], I know you'll be the one to read this since you usually look for mochi and Shoto always go straight to his training room, anyways. I won't be home since I have lots of papers to sign, Natsou is studying late and dad's on nightshift.
I left some ingredients in the fridge since you know how to cook better than Shoto T^T, and yes there is mochi but eat dinner before eating sweets. Love you, take care!!
-love, Yumi nee-san ♥"
[Name] chuckled at Fuyumis honest way to describe Shotos cooking.
"Well let's get started."
To be continued...
Lols I got bored so want u want p.2? Alright bb ♥️

“Benched” (At Your Service AU version)
another infodump so i’m not gonna go into too much detail into some of these
In the au, both Macaque and MK follow the gang to the Lantern City. Similar to the canon episode, they find out about the talent show and the third ring. And just like in canon, Macaque will do whatever it takes to get the third ring, to get as far from the Lady Bone Demon as possible. He doesn’t let MK know that, of course.
The gang still performs in the talent show, and Tang still goes after the third ring. It wasn’t after he made in the lantern when the shadows started to change as a familiar monkey shows up.
Macaque goes and taunts him, and Tang smacks his hand away and runs and reaches for the ring. And then, at the last second, a familiar figure wearing a headband appears. Tang immediately realizes who it is before getting kicked in the stomach.
Tang hits the walls of the lantern hard and collapses. MK perfectly lands on his feet as Macaque praises him. MK looks down and notices the ongoing performance, and sees his friends. He felt his face showing a small smile, it was nice to see that they were having fun-
His eyes flashed blue as he shook his head, he had a mission to do. Macaque notices the kid watching the performance, and gets an idea.
“You know kid, your friends seem to be having a lot of fun. I’m sure it’d be nice if you joined them, don’t you think?” At that, MK gets the message and smirks. They needed the rest of the rings after all. MK shares one last glance at Tang before leaping down.
The whole scene with Tang and Macaque continues on without MK. Macaque sends MK towards his friends so he doesn’t hear about his plans to use the Samadhi Fire for himself, to get away from his Lady.
Mid- performance, Wukong’s ears perks up as he senses something, or someone? He briefly looks up, only managing to see someone dropping down towards them. Wukong barely has enough time to warn the others before the mysterious figure finally landed, creating a powerful blow that sends half the crowd flying.
When the gang picks themselves up and the dust finally clears, their hearts drop as they recognize the mysterious figure instantly. MK simply wipes the dust off himself as he turns toward the group, with a sickly smile on his face.
“Hey guys! You guys looked like you were having a lot of fun down here! Unfortunately though, I gotta cut your little show here short. My lady needs something.” They were about to speak up, before MK interrupted them, “And don’t worry, my Lady changed her mind. We’re not gonna capture Wukong. However…”
“…I’m gonna need you to hand over the rest of the rings.”
At that, the gang froze. They stood there, unsure of what to do. How did the Lady Bone Demon find out about the Samadhi Fire? Did MK told her willingly, or did she managed to find out herself?
There were only sounds of the crowd’s panicking as they exited the theatre, as the gang continue to stand frozen. That was, until Mei finally found herself taking out her sword and getting into a stance, her sword trembling slightly. “We won’t let you take them.”
MK simply chuckles, taking a step further. “Always so stubborn with you, huh Mei? Oh well..” His hair begins to turn white as ice begins to form around his knuckles. “Hard way it is.”
The gang begins to duke it out, while with Tang and Macaque are having their brawl in the lantern. One fight scene later, and the gang manages to escape from MK. And Tang miraculously manages to escape from Macaque and meets up with the gang (cough cough Pigsy catching him cough cough)
since MK interrupted the gang’s performance, Pigsy never got to do his big finish (sorry pigsy😭) and the lantern never lit up. Tang still manages to access his powers and get the ring tho dw
Back with Macaque, he manages to pick himself up when he turns around and sees the kid standing behind him, causing him to jump. “What the heck, kid? You tryna give me a heart attack or somethi-“, he pauses himself when he noticed the kid just kept staring at him blankly, his eyes glowing blue.
Suddenly, all the lights in the city burned out, including the lantern itself. The lantern began to fill itself with a blue hue, whispers began dancing around him. It wasn’t until a voice began to speak when Macaque realized, she’s here.
A blue mist began to surround him as the voice continued. “You were to retrieve the rings of the Samadhi Fire, and yet you failed?”
MK knelt down. “My apologies, my lady. I tried to stop them but-“ “Do not worry, my child. You have done your best. I expect you to not disappoint me next time.” LBD responds to him in a calm and sweet tone, to which MK sighs in relief and stands back up, his eyes continuing to glow.
“As for you, Six-eared Macaque,” LBD’s voice returns to that of uncouth and scornful as she addresses the monkey. “I expected better from you. It would seem that you are rejecting the path to destiny, and so there will be… pain.”
Blue chains immediately rose from the ground as they begin to wrap around Macaque, holding him up. MK simply watches all of this go down, that blank look still plastered onto his face.
“NO! I’ll bring you your Samadhi Fire! I won’t fail you again, I swear!” the monkey begs, struggling to release himself from the chains.
“Really? Very well then. It would seem that there is still time to correct your failure.”
A blue mist begins heading straight for the Macaque, striking him right in the chest. He doubles over in pain, as the chains release him. His eyes begin to glow blue, his arm begins to cover in ice.
“Bring the fire to me. I will grant you my aid, my power in this final trial.”
Macaque lets out a painful scream as the power of the Lady Bone Demon rushes through him, half destroying the Lantern City in the process.
“But make haste, or I will leave nothing left of you.”
#i just randomly got the motivation to finish this in under an hour ssjdhjsh#I KNOW i mentioned before in my last infodump that MK uses a replica of the staff#but the more i thought abt it the more it didnt make sense#so i decided to change it to ice fists instead since thats much cooler#monkie kid#lego monkie kid#at your service au#monkie kid au#monkie kid season 3#nia rambles

Cop!Michael Afton x Reader
Im back! (A fast written one this time tho)
TW!: Rape, mention of wounds/bruises, cursing, beating up.
In which reader gets raped and gets help from Michael.
--------
Tears were overflowing my sight, to the point I could barely see, only blurry images. My hands were held behind my head, a hairy arm holding them down as he grunts loudly in my ear.
I could feel his breath on my bare skin, highering up my throat. He was pounding in and out of me, as I just laid there frozen in place with my panties somewhere who knows where. Sobs were filling the whole room but it wasn't enough for him to stop, feel any kind of sympathy or even feel bad. Of course it wouldn't be.
I was stuck in this gross ass room with a stranger rubbing my clit, hurting my whole body.
I was hugging my body, making my way through the dark streets with nothing but my underwear and a top he so kindly let me wear, I atleast managed to grab when he passed out. I was crying so loud I could hear my sobs echo through the street. My cheek was fully covered in dried water while I just stared in front of me, remembering the directions to the police station my boyfriend Michael should be at.
Every car that passed by, even every person that passed down and looked at me weirdly made me anxious, after all I was only in a underwear and shirt.
untill finally, after minutes that felt like hours I saw the big letters saying 'Police station' and God how that could bring a smile to my face. Behind my unanimity to fully walk without stumbling I could rush pretty darn quick.
I rushed over the side walks and stormed into the police station, where I saw eyes snap up at me. I looked like shit, and I knew they thought the same. But then they're expression turned into a shocked one and then a worried one. And before I knew it one or two Cops rushed towards me.
One of the male officers held his hand out to what I assume touch me but i just flinched, I backed away which almost made me fall to the floor, but I managed to stay on my ruined feet. My body was covered in all kinds of bruises, blue ones, purple ones, even goddamn red ones.
I started to let my tears fall down, as I fell down on my knees. "D-Don't touch me!" And they didn't. They didn't even touch me but knelt down beside me. I didn't look a second at them, I was still trying to cover most of my body. I just stared at the floor, and kept my gaze there.
"Michael.. I- Need Michael.." and that made the shadow infront of me get bigger again, making me realize one of the cops left to get Michael.
Michael came rushing down with the cop that just left behind him, making its way towards me with only the slam of a door. "But sir- the conversation wasn't ove-" Michael pushed the cops hand away, taking in his surroundings and seeing people stand there just staring at me, and then at Michael.
"I couldn't give a living shit about the useless conversation I was into." And he knelt down infront of me, his angered tone immediately turning into a resuering one. I looked up to meet his gaze and was immediately met with his beautiful calming eyes. "Y/n!" He looked at me with worry but also like he wanted to kill anyone who caused me to cry, even though he doesnt even know the reason, yet.
"God darling.. can i- touch you?" You didn't even hesitate and layed your head in his chest. He wrapped his arms around your body and held you close, letting you cry into his chest without moving a inch, he couldnt give a shit about what anyone thought about that moment, to see the soft side of him.
All he wanted was to make sure you knew he was there for you, that you would let all the pain out and then, then he would calmly make you confess.
He nodded to someone, assuming it was one of the other cops and whispered something I couldn't quiet catch, I could only catch my sobs and his heartbeat, beating to the rhythm of my cries.
And then a warm fabric met my body, warming me up and covering me into a safe area. A blanket was placed over my shoulders and Michael softly wrapped me in it, holding my cheek afterwards. I looked up at him like he's the only person who could save me in the moment, because we all know he is.
"It's okay my love, it's gonna be alright.. im here now, I'm not leaving." You nodded as you slowly stared to calm down by his embrace, and when you were ready to talk you were immediately met with his knuckles whitening and a hand in your hair, holding you soft scull from behind and pulling you close to him.
"I'm going to fucking kill him."

nobody asked but im typing out all the gripes i have w totk . they're mostly nick-picky tho i loved this game. complaints first, praises after
single biggest gripe i have with totk is that the main selling point of the game, the sky, does not feel nearly as expansive as it should. i feel like there coulda been waayyy more islands up there, and Bigger ones, like the one u start out on. i want bigger pieces of land to explore, not these tiny little rocks. it feels i've seen everything there is to see the moment i land. as far as i remember, there's no biomes in the sky islands either, except for the great sky one. there's no differences, and many of the islands are copy-pasted. still fun to explore and still beautiful, but i was expecting... more
while i love the depths with all my heart and being down there is an Experience, i do think it could've been improved with a little bit of variety. it looks the same wherever u go, with the exception of the eldin region and a few other lavafalls sprinkled about. i think some different biomes woulda been so cool
no post-game. i don't even necessarily want a fully fleshed out post-game, i literally just want the game and the world to acknowledge i beat ganon instead of dumping me back in time moments before the fight i just started. this is a common thing, i know, but i Hate the practice
u can't pet th efuckign dogs
what the hell happened to ganon's face in that one scene . i thought we were past weirdly impossible expressions like that one midna grin. why did it happen again in the year 2023.
why did ganon's intro scene before the final fight pan to his feet so much
kinda predictable story, in the sense that zelda turned into the light dragon. saw it comin a mile away, but this is just me being bitchy the story itself is still very fulfilling and good. just predictable, which isn't necessarily a bad thing
okay that was 7 complaints 2 of which were memes now sit back as i ramble abt the good stuff. already made a thread abt the little stuff i liked now it's the bigish stuff
the music in some of the areas is genuine fucking art. some of my favorites are the wind temple theme and it's approach track, the construct factory theme, dragonhead island, the bits of the calamity ganon theme in this game's final boss track, frozen rito village,,, so many pieces of genuine skill and talent
the wind temple is absolutely one of the best experiences i've had in a video game, not because of the puzzle design, but the temple design. the moment where you look up into the clouds with tulin and you see a giant airship silhouette highlighted by lightning,, the approach track that plays when ur getting higher into the air had chills running down my spine. what a cool fucking concept for a temple
there's already a post somewhere on tumblr abt this, but i love that the citizens of hyrule don't follow the typical "every man for himself" apocalyptic mindset. they help each other, constantly. they seek out people to help in their spare time. they shelter each other and volunteer to do hard work for the sake of everybody else. i just think that's rly endearing n nice. a good message
the entire fuse and ultrahand mechanics are SUPER fun. so endlessly creative. and i love that a lot of the time, the game doesn't hold ur hand. it doesn't even Grab ur hand, it pushes u off the ledge to teach you how to fly. it Makes u get creative with ur solutions. it makes u feel stupid a Lot, but sometimes it makes u feel like an absolute genius (anybody else have trouble with that one rail shrine? anybody else just launch themselves across the pit and rail grind to skip the thing entirely?)
tulin.
the vibes of the thunderhead isles were Incredible. i went up there before the clouds cleared, and i gotta say, even if the game Wants u to go up there later in the story, exploring those islands while the storm is still active is an entirely different experience, and i recommend it. if ur reading this before you've finished this part, just don't go to the actual dragonhead island . leave that for when it prompts u, trust me.
ganon's dragon design ? fucking killer
a lot of the new armor pieces are really beautiful. the miner's set looks so fuckin stupid but the headpiece is cool. all the torso pieces for the elemental dragon sets r Gorgeous
loved that the first half of the final boss took place in the depths, and the second half took place in the sky. nintendo has always been good at linking game elements with stories and this is no exception imo
LOVED when ganon's health bar stretched super far to the right. that was so silly and intimidating
in the final fight, the way ganon would only be affected by flurry rushes at first and not any random attacks, but then random attacks were the only way to hit him later. i know it was scripted, but it genuinely made it feel like he was learning to fight link better
the theme of cycles and the circular nature of time throughout this game is wonderful, and how it's mirrored in the first/last settings of the game is genius. how the game starts in a cave, and then part of the ending is in that same cave. how link dived alone into that pond below the great sky island at the start, and then at the very end he dived For Zelda in that very same pond
