i feel like hero looks a lot like the twins where norm looks a lot like rebecca, especially as she got older, i need to revamp my design for her or at least make a proper one lol, as well as one for s2 hero

started with these guys because i have not stopped thinking abt them since the finale, like oh my god...this family man.

first off: Hero! (i posted a wip/close up of her a bit ago but that was before i realized i got the ages wrong,) she's 40, working for NASA after going to college, she's currently single, living with her two best friends she met in college and their cat, Momo. She's living her best life, still in therapy, and is finding it to be very helpful. She hasn't spoken to the Twins and Rebecca in about six or seven years, but keeps in contact with Normal regularly, after everything that happened while she was a child and years of therapy she decided it was best to go no contact with them, they respect her decision. Her and Normal call every few weeks just to catch up.

Normal! not too different from what was already described in canon, he's 38, living alone outside of California, he attempted to go to college after graduation and ended up dropping out in his Sophomore year, after a mental health crisis got him way off track. Now he's working a retail job in Boston, while attempting to go back to school and graduate. He hasn't exactly put in the effort to keep in contact with the rest of the teens, though Scary and Linc call or text him every now and then. Normal was at there wedding, and attends every one of Gerry's birthday parties. He's in contact with his parents, though mostly only Rebecca. He's in therapy, but he's still struggling. He is also still talking to Henry, and he visits Oakvale every now and then, just to say hi to him and his Aunt Birdie. (screw yall shes real to ME)

Rebecca! At 60, She and the twins are still living in San Dimas, she's only just now retired officially, though living comfortably with the money from Swallow's ice cream. Her marriage with Sparrow has always been rocky, but they're at a point where it's easier to live together and stay married. Though they more so are living as friends other than a married couple. Her relationship with Lark has always been weird, though she'd consider them good friends as well. She texts with Normal practically daily, because she worries about him a lot. After she died for a brief amount of time, she started to rethink a lot of things in her life, one of those things being the amount of time she spends focusing on her kids and making sure they're alright. If Normal was anyone else he'd probably say she was being too clingy. Shed attempted to revive her dying relationship with her daughter as well, but inevitably respected her decision once Hero decided to go no-contact. She still asks Norm about her though.

Sparrow!! this one is interesting! At 31 (pre-s2), he hits a specific point as a druid where he gains the Timeless Body ability, where his aging slows as he gets older, Sparrow wasn't aware thats what was happening until he realized around his mid forties that he wasn't looking any different. After a long conversation with Henry, he figures out that's what's happening. He doesn't tell anyone besides Lark for a while until it's too noticeable to hide. at 59, he's living at home with Rebecca and Lark still, and is spending most of his time gardening and painting, or attempting to keep his mind off of...everything. Sparrow isn't living happy or comfortably, though it seems that way from an outside point of view. He finds himself trying to ignore everything going on around him, the fact his life is in shambles, and the inevitable of his loved ones dying before him. He throws himself into his art, to the point where Rebecca has to drag him out of their art studio (their garage) to eat and sleep. He barely leaves the house, because people around town had already started to notice how young he looks.

Lark!! agghgh if you thought my sparrow description was a bummer get buckled. Lark never really recovered from the aftermath of The Doodler and Code Purple, he had really been solely living off of his dedication to fixing everything. So once everything was fixed, he crashed. Badly. For about seven months no one knew where he was, he ran off to the other side of the country and basically went on a self destructive spree, driving around aimlessly. Once he came back home, Sparrow and him had their first heated argument. Sparrow wouldn't let Lark out of his sight, and pushed him to do something other than wallow in self hatred. So Lark started working at a mechanic shop down the road, and without his usual purpose, he threw himself into the work.He worked there for 12 years before an accident involving his right knee happened, leaving him immobilized (hence the mobility aid/cane). Sparrow forced him to leave the job behind after that, at 59, Lark's basically been in a weird stasis, waiting to die.

Hi, thank you so much for the ask <3 I do take requests but I have my hands kinda full with the Grace fic right now tbh…it’s turning into way more of a project than I thought it was going to be and I’m having trouble getting to a place where I’m 100% happy with it. I try to! In order to conserve spoons for it, I only answer comments on my long/chaptered fics, and don't answer them on my short one-shots. Which makes me feel guilty sometimes, but setting up an exception is the only way I can manage my social anxiety about it.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

No Such Thing As Ghosts

This is a one-shot that I always answer comments on because if someone takes the time to read a MCD fic, they deserve extra gratitude, and probably milk and cookies and a box of tissues.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I write romances or smutfics, they all have happy endings lol

Probably the sweetest thing I've ever written is Where The Heart Lives which was for an October writing challenge a few years ago.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

It's happened, though it's rare. There was a troll that targeted me on FFnet like 10 years ago who was so over the top with their hatred that it was actually funny. Every once in a while I'll get a comment that irritates me, but it's not really hateful stuff, just something I disagree with.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yeah, original sci-fi alien smut was a thing for me when I was a teenager. For fanfic, I loooove writing smut. Some of my short fics are just smut. My favorite kind of smut involves being in a shower or a bathtub. It might just be masturbation, or full on sexual escapades, but there's water involved.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I don't like crossovers, so no. I have a lot of ideas for fusions, but I haven't written any. I tried to do a Pacific Rim/Mass Effect fusion, but I only ever got 1 chapter, and it's the only fic I've deleted from AO3.

For reference, I consider a crossover something that includes characters from both universes in a story together, and a fusion is a story where characters from one universe live in the other universe, but there's no meeting of characters from both. Like, Dean is a Templar who knows Knight Captain Cullen in Dragon Age, vs what if Dean is the Knight Captain instead of Cullen.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of *knocks on wood*

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, a few. One of them isn't on AO3 and I lost the link, which I'm sad about. But now I only give permission if it's going to be posted on AO3, so they show up under my name.

ooh hmm. well, i mean, im sure the answer is yes in the sense that i have about a million wips in my folder that are in various stages of completion (ranging from literally just the idea word vomited into a doc to i've actually started working on this to i'm almost done with it!) and there's no guarantee that i'll ever get around to them all, so like statistically lol some of them just won't 🤷‍♀️

BUT out of all those wips i have, there's none that i'm like intentionally keeping from seeing the light of day. like i've got nothing to hide lol.

Steve’s nearly finished with his first drink when a flash of movement from across the bar catches his attention. A combination of one guy rising from his seat to make leave, while another sidles up to the bar in his place. The guy leaving is older, in his sixties maybe, and balding. He slides his arms into his coat and tucks a matching fedora onto his head. Steve’s gaze doesn’t linger on him for very long, though. Not as the new patron slips into the rare empty seat, pulling Steve’s attention. This man is younger, around Steve’s age probably, with a full head of hair. Long hair. Beautiful hair. The dim lighting casts a shadow across his face, but Steve can tell, even from across the bar — he’s handsome.

What fandoms do you write for?

These days I write for the Silmarillion, as it’s my biggest hyperfixation currently. I used to write MCYT fics (my last biggest hyperfixation, lasting about 3yrs), but I’ve long since run dry of mcyt fic ideas.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Funny enough, because of everyone else’s hyperfixations my non-silm fics are still top 5, even tho they’re so much shorter than my more recent works lol

Either “I keep my enemies closer than the mirror ever gets to me” because of the canon angst foreshadowing or “I take scraps from dinner as little parts of love” because the ending is bittersweet in hindsight of canon (and because it made someone in my comment section cry lol)

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Staccato, Familiar Acceptance and (somewhat) reconciliation are prime in the 2nd chapter.

Do you get hate on fics?

Nope! I don’t write very controversial topics, very long fics, or in very large fandoms, so at the moment I’m just a small fish in the pond. No hate nor attention comes for the small fish.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I’ve written a scene where inexplicit sex was implied to be happening, but I don’t know if i’ll ever write anything with explicit sexual content (Disclaimer: I’m an adult).

The only crossover i’ve ever posted is an abandoned wip in “Discontinued Hermitcraft WIPS - chapter 7” It was a hermitcraft and Phasmophobia crossover.

An unnamed fic where Post-Canon, everyone is reembodied in Valinor and Russingon + Kidnap Fam are all together Happy Family Style.

Except, so very ago Fingon & Maedhros adopted a tiny Gil-Galad together, Maedhros left at an early age and never treated Gil like his kid afterwards so Gil is real bitter towards Maedhros. Elrond wants them to reconcile but it’s not going well.

“In case you’ve forgotten, Elrond. I’ve met Maedhros Feanorian and he found nothing of value in me.”

Elrond cringes. Maedhros flinches back as if slapped.

What are your writing strengths?

Not sure. Probably writing angst that hurts readers in the trauma epicenter, since i’ve made a few people cry with my fics.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Pretty sure everything needs to improve, but i’d say descriptions and character placement. Maybe pacing too.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I’ve done it a few times for Sindarin & Quenya (reluctantly) but I wouldn’t touch that hot potato for irl languages. Pretty neat when other writers do it tho.

First fandom you wrote for?

Five Nights at Freddy’s, somehow. I wrote a single fic for that fandom but it was my first.

Favourite fic you’ve written?

“I take scraps from dinner as little parts of love” I put so much symbolism, emotion, and thought into this fic. It’s my favorite brainchild for sure. I’m working on giving this brainchild a sequel sibling, too.

Absolutely! He (his pronouns are he/they, tho this might change to they/them, not sure yet) is a bit of a WIP still, though I can try (<- key word) and explain what I have at the moment.

Gonna toss up a keep reading since this is prolly gonna be a decently long post, though do bear with me a bit, I find I'm not great at explaining this stuff-

So, in this universe, Calem Xavier (I'm terrible at coming up with surnames, just went with his prerelease name lol) is a 19-year-old (currently; 16 y/o at the beginning of X/Y's story) originally from Unova; he was born and mostly raised there. Before, they'd lived in Nuvema Town and were part of the Hilbert-Cheren-Bianca friend group (all three of whom having been aged up to match Calem's age), being closest among those three to Hilbert.

I mostly added that tidbit with HCB to try and make the world feel a little bit more connected. He'd probably keep an Xtransceiver he got for his last birthday back in Unova, even after getting his Holo Caster, though his use of the Xtransceiver would probably fizzle out as he meets more people in Kalos and generally becomes more comfortable there.

As far as who he is as a person, I'd like to think of him as someone who, while he can be a bit oblivious at times, generally tries to do what's best for the people closest to him, like his mom to start, and eventually people like Shauna and Serena. He's very averse to huge change (autism moment)... y'know. Huge change like moving into an entirely different region. So, he would definitely start out much more closed off just after moving than he would've been in Unova, and a big part of his arc throughout the story would be him coming out of his shell and learning to appreciate where he is now.

I think a thing he'd be most well-known for at a glance, besides his general outfit (which mostly sticks with canon), would be a (nowadays) male Meowstic named Grix that comes with him pretty much everywhere. Grix started out as a house pokémon in the Xavier family, joining the family as an Espurr not long before Calem was born. The two showed to be pretty inseparable from a very young age, and they've grown to have a very close, sibling-like bond. So, of course, Grix was the one to come out with Calem as a starter (still unsure of if Calem ends up getting a Kalos starter or not. might have that be offered to him at the same time as the Kanto starter, might not offer them one at all, dunno yet).

A favorite of mine among his quirks is that if you just casually ran into him while, like, taking a walk in a park or something, you'd usually find him with earbuds in and listening to music, along with Grix either being on his shoulder or trailing closeby. He'd developed a love of music from a fairly young age, as not only a way to keep his mind in one place for a little while but also as a medium for him to express himself.

Alright. I thiiiiink that's most of what I have for him so far? Well, aside from my avid-Kalosshipping-ass having him and Serena end up together by the end of their story-

So I'm typically a Dazai simp (but i'm currently mad at him for the shit he did in meursault so we're on a break >:( ) so both "current" and "mafia days" are dazai x oc fics. "mafia days" is pretty self-explanatory lmao. it's stuff during the dark age!

but it details OC being a pretty powerful ability user that Mori personally sought out and then she ends up being a pretty lethal assassin for the organization and takes Dazai's place as leader of the Black Lizard. During the Mimic incident, she "brutally murders" the one Mimic soldier that had the gun pointed at Dazai's head and Dazai begins chastising her about needing to keep him alive for interrogation or that she overdid it and they get into a fight! She continues her investigation of Mimic without him BUT eventually gets captured by Gide because the way she murdered the other soldier with her abilities caught their attention. Dazai does NOT come to rescue her until last minute because he wasn't even aware that she wasn't just further ignoring him. He thinks she dies in his arms, but of some unknown facet of her abilities (think Atsushi's healing BUT STRONGER). She wakes up in the infirmary a few days later and is under the impression that Dazai sold her out to Mimic and left her for dead. END SCENE

SKIP TO 4 YEARS LATER

This basically just follows canon. OC is a pretty high-ranking executive now and is pretty much always taking kill jobs, primarily to channel her rage into it because she's still pissed about Dazai. Some of the important character deaths, I have her involved in because I can (sue me), like Sasaki's. She comes along with that meeting between Fukuzawa and Mori to negotiate and when Fukuzawa attacks (instead of Tanizaki coming in with Light Snow), she comes him to stop his sword and then Dazai is all like D: because it turns out she's alive but he didn't know. She gets assigned to assassinate Fitzgerald and they have like a big confrontation where she's pissed at Dazai for abandoning her and he's trying to convince her that he thought she was dead all along. I have her involved as the show progresses but it's not as impactful as s2 i think.

"mafia!husband au" is basically the same except she gets with chuuya. the drama in the dark days still happens, but she's always had a close bond with chuuya because they're both stupidly powerful ability users that didn't really know where they came from. in the normal story (stuff i described above), they're just really close like a brother/sister bond thing. in this AU, they get together at some point. the confrontation with her and dazai still happens, but she's not able to forgive him and overlook the pain that he caused right before she got captured.

and that's it! i think. they're pretty well fleshed out because these WIPs are like...around 6 years old at this point? started it in 2017 alkdfjklsdf

Okay it's been a really long while since I've been here on this app lol but heyyy I'm alive so imma start my first time being here in a long time by answering these interesting questions!

I began my writing journey since I was around maybe 5/6 (?). All ik it has been a really long time. Back then in intermediate class, we had these writing journals where we supposed to tell our stories in and that's presumably where my love of creativity and storytelling began!

Related to the point above, my very first story was told in that journal. Unfortunately I've vague memories of it but I think it entailed a boy trying to protect his city from a dangerous dinosaur or smth like that lmao.

Fantasy, action-adventure (my main genres), slice-of-life, comedy, horror, mystery, science fiction, coming-of-age and even romance (a genre that I'm not a big fan of and don't dabble in it much but one of my WIPs is one).

Fantasy. Especially if it's mixed with action, which is natural.

Anything related to childhood friends. Whether it be them becoming enemies or even lovers too. Just the thought of people knowing each other for a really long time and writers doing stuff with it just seems fun to me lol.

I'd love explore anything regarding human nature, philosophical and psychological topics. Pretty vague, but anything regarding them I'd love to explore!

The OCs closest to me in personality are named Liú Wadapiryoh and Junhwa Yuehoshi. Not entirely, but I mixed certain personal traits and put them into these lovely boys.

My best friend reviewed the first chapter of my WIP. He was the one that inspired me to continue writing it and even gave me more confidence in my writing so it's really dear to me.

Any scene that has torture, abuse or any of that sort. Especially if it's done to children. As a kid, I'd avoid writing such scenes but now it's even more uncomfortable.

Well, I'd write at least hundreds of words a day based on the chapter I'd be currently working on. I'll admit tho, I don't follow this all the time as I can be very inconsistent lol.

Anime, some shows, books, mythology, folklore, videogames and to a lesser extent people.

It's heavily inspired by Shonen and Seinen and I take inspiration from Japanese folklore and...uh...yeah.

In summary, my fav dialogue is where Junhwa sees himself as a monster, but Liú assured him that he isn't and Junhwa thought what if people didn't believe he couldn't change, Liú replied, "Then I'm sorry they don't see what I see". That dialogue represents their friendship quite well I'd say.

Man, I can't think of one right now so I'd have to look back lol.

Yes I do! Guys, don't worry about being perfect and don't compare your story to others that are considered "masterpieces". Perfection doesn't exist and neither does the concept of "masterpieces" despite what people say. Just write your story how you'd want it and how you love it. I Started Typing A Regular Post When Oops It Turned Into An Update Post (Mainly about MH-AU & XXY)

Just spent the last couple hours give-or-take on completing Cleo's profile, which I'm excited to be releasing later today! Her post is scheduled to release around noon EDT (I scheduled Lagoona's and it made things a lot easier to post her at a reasonable hour so I'm doing that from now on cause OH MY GOD :'D). She will be the last in the current set of character designs/bios I have prepared.

I have one teensy tiny more MH-AU goodie for Halloween before I get back to XXY full-time (dw I have been working on it in the background, progress has just been super slow cause I'm trying to finish the fic's outline). I will still be working on the MH-AU, don't get me wrong, just not as my top priority cause my PPG followers have been patient enough with me for more XXY content. I do plan on making another series of character design/bios, this time focusing on the mansters since they actually serve a purpose in the fics other than "the boyfriend" (Sorry they didn't do too much in a majority of the movies okay, I love them in the webisodes tho!). And once Cleo's post drops, I'll make a masterpost for the MH-AU since there's enough out now that I feel it necessary; keeps all the lore organized and junk. I'll have it linked in my general masterpost for quick access should anyone need it for reference. If they are updated at all later on, I'll make a post about it.

My current oneshot WIPs for the MH-AU are: - My equivalent to G1's New Ghoul @ School (tbh I might just use that name cause it's so iconic and I can't really come up with anything better lol), which might end up becoming a SMALL multichapter should it require that (3-6 Chapters max). There's a lot that goes on in Frankie's first week, more than the original series of mishaps unfortunately (poor Frankie :'D), and it also sets up a lot of stuff prior to the first week of school for them that I think is super important to their character. - Taking A Lycan To New Salem (Working Title), a short story about one of Clawdeen's human-side escapades gone wrong. (I want to talk about this one SO BAD but alas, it'll have to wait til I finish the fic. I'm already 1k words into it!) And I have several more in mind that I can't wait to write and share. Until then, I'll keep you guys posted!

(Random side note: I had no idea how many of these characters were gonna have a criminal record like holy shit dgfhgsddfg)

I've been in a super artsy mood so if I can manage to actually complete a sketch of the team, I really wanna post a drawing of XXY as a whole (I tend to ditch my sketches after 1-2 characters are drawn q-q). I also really wanna draw the "Normie Trio/3" as I call them, consisting of Robin, Mitch and Mike. I eventually wanna draw more characters that get redesigns from age, alterations in the case of the reboot villains, and such, but I think I just needed to get into the art mood again cause now I actually plan to do these things! :D

Also, while progress has been slow, I'm gonna assume from my current status that I'll be able to complete XXY's next batch probably around the end of this year, to be released in January. I'm so sorry to delay its release to January, but please understand I am really passionate about this story and wanna make it the best (and most fun) I can make it. And I'm not gonna go out and say "hey this is exactly how many chapters there'll be," but I might end up making about 70 chapters total including all the intermission/MultiPOV chapters, but that remains to be seen.

I do have good news for you guys, however; considering where the story is headed, I've realized I'm gonna need to throw in another intermission chapter at the end of this batch, with a new character's POV! They haven't shown up yet, and won't until that chapter, but believe me when I say I am VERY VERY excited to write it and I really love this character. The chapter name for them is super appropriate too lol.

While I'm here I'm gonna drop the chapter titles, as they don't really reveal anything. The previous theme was weather patterns, focusing on the coming and going of rain and shine. This one's flowers!

So, as you may have guessed from the random snippets, I have a new WIP lol. So, while I'm still fixating on it, have a worldbuilding ramble :D

So the idea originally came about because I was worldbuilding for Knighttime Dreams, and I came up with a new character that I immediately fell in love with. Problem was, there was basically no room for him in KD, which made me real sad. And then I thought, what if I just give him his own story?

And now here we are lol

Unnamed Superhero WIP has 2 story lines. The first is centered around Isabelle, a college student and wannabe hero, and Stella and Julian, twins who own the local cafe and seem to be hiding secrets. The second follows Izzy's hero alter-ego, Despereaux, and his encounters with the necromancer Revenant.

So, superheroes are a thing, how the fuck does society function? Greeeeat question. Villains gonna villain cause that's basically a requirement of the genre (tho they will get more solid motivations as I flesh them out. at least one (not Revenant) wants to create a sorta zombie army for.... reasons?). Vigilantes are frowned upon, if not straight up illegal (depending on where you are). So if you wanna be a hero, there's basically 2 above-board ways to do it. 1. recruitment 2. sorta the equivalent of going to college for it

What's the difference?

Recruitment is only for the best of the best, those with powers so strong they're hard to hide or tone down. It can also be a little iffy, because it does require parental consent, but a solid 98% of the time that's a non-issue. Hero worship hella is a thing. Anyways, recruitment can happen at any age, and kids who are recruited end up in a sort of boarding school for hero training. After graduating (ages 15-18 depending on powers/how quick they pick up training/how well they do in sidekick roles), they'll get chosen for a team or department. More on that later :)

The college equivalent is for those who weren't good enough to get recruited, or those few who are part of the 2% who didn't get permission for hero work. People who go this route often end up in support roles or lesser known teams.

Now what the fuck am I talking about with teams and departments?

Heroes are split up into two broad categories: Combat and Support. Combat heroes are the ones who go out and fight villains directly, with all the danger (and glory) that comes along with that. They're split up into different teams, which is currently an arbitrary decision that I'll rationalize later :P

Support heroes are the ones doing more behind-the-scenes stuff, like reconnaissance, civilian evacuations, and medics. Some hero teams have support heroes in them, while others will just hire a support as needed. Supports-for-hire are separated into different departments, some examples being recon, evac, backup, or medics.

There is a severe distinction between a hero's civilian identity and their hero identity. When doing hero work, they'll often be wearing some sort of mask and a vocoder to disguise their voice at minimum.

When they graduate, heroes are given a tattoo on their right hand to mark what team or department they work for. But to keep up the barrier between civilian and hero identity, heroes will wear a glove to cover the tattoo.

But wait, doesn't that defeat the point of trying separate civilian/hero identities if everybody knows they're a hero? Not exactly. There's a difference between "Yeah I'm a hero" *no indication of team or department* vs. "Yeah I'm a hero in this department/on this 5 person team/etc". Plus, the point of the tattoos is so that, if an emergency happens when they're off duty, a hero can show the tattoo to whoever is helping evac/keep civilians out of the area, and they'll get clearance to go in and help.

But despite the fame and glory, there's a dark side to the industry, hiding behind locked doors where the cameras can't see.

Best case scenario for a hero: you retire at a nice age, and get to live the rest of your life in luxury and mild fame.

Second best case scenario: you burn out early and life the rest of your life in middling wealth and fame.

Most common scenario, especially for recruited kids: the system chews you up and spits you out, and you're lucky if you retire with less than 4 major injuries. If you even make it to retirement.

Storge – Unconditional, Familial Love.

1- Did your OC’s parents love them unconditionally? If so then has this helped them feel confident as an adult? If not then how has this affected them? What were the conditions their family attached to their relationship?

It is hard to answer this because we haven't met the dad yet and we also know mom and dad weren't around. I think, from the bit we got, the answer MIGHT be more yes than MC thinks but -- IDK. So partial response.

Team Angry: Ori, Hiyam

Ori: I think Ori has no belief that his parents love him unconditionally. He supposes they do love him but it is very much that qoute: If you love me, Henry, you don't love me in a way I understand. It definitely adds to, if it is not the root of, his insecurities / low self-esteem. And it is definitely the root of his anger and frustration -- and Ori isn't typically one to get ANGRY [BUT he can become highly frustrated, and even feel defeated at times]. It isn't as bad as it could have been because I gave him parents. And he had Seven. For a time he never doubted that SHE loved him sans conditions.

Hiyam: Hiyam actually was, as well, rather unaffected beause she had Seven. I think it seeped into her but she never made time/had the time to really process her parents love - conditions or sans - because 1) they were off making [her] money 2) because, of course, they had expectations of her -- they had white collar jobs and she is their daughter; in her mind it helped push her 3) to a point it became a weird mix of the distance suiting her nature while it was all she knows. 4) She had Seven. Like around the age that even Hiyam couldn't explain away her parents absence, Seven came in like a wrecking ball -- and brought Lucy with her. They fed any empitness she might have -- and Seven came in like a wrecking ball that she was totes too bamboozled to notice anything else. It is not until the shine of Seven disappeared, Hiyam started noticing the cracks in her life. So idk, it did affect her but not in anyway she noticed/is willing to notice [tho it is hard not to recall the lack of support when faced with the Hollands]

Team Indifferent: BJ, Alana, Lala [of sorts]

BJ: It didn't affect him yet it kind of did. I don't think - like Hiyam - BJ weighed too much "do mom and dad love me?" because he had -- duties to fill, one could say. He was busy focused on fulfilling expectations and I think there was the belief if he was a "good kid", they wouldn't be disappointed. Eventually he came not to care. I think he realized - or felt - they didn't love him unconditionally but it was THEIR problem. It is like "Your behavior toward me is not my responsibility. How I react, is" Does it hurt? Yes, at times. But he’s not going to let that control his life.

Alana: I think it led Alana to be disappointed and more eager for their approval than she might want to be -- which probably translated to her bad luck with romance. But eventually, she's kind of tired and brittle regarding the question. She has kind of given up [kind of because she is still disappoonted,amd maybe still hoping for their approval].

Lala: I think Lala is the only one who has learned to meet their parents where they are. Who is WILLING to do so. I don't know if they've made PEACE but its a wip.

2- Does your OC have children? If so then how fiercely do they love them? If they have more than one then do they love them all equally? If they do not have children then is this part of their future plans?

4- Does your OC have any siblings? If so then did their parents have a favourite growing up? Has their relationship with their sibling changed in adulthood? As for friend who fills that role: For Lala and Ori - more so for Lala - it is Seven. In their eyes he is their little brother. For Ori the band is family but there is no specific label to it -- tho if one pressed, then yeah. Hiyam: Not really? But also Rowan? For Alana and BJ -- I don't think so ... they do consider the band family, but in Ori's mind they're Lilo and Stitching it -- it is another level with/for him. For him with Seven, Seven is LIKE a sister -- she is his twin flame.

5 - Is your OC able to love without necessarily needing or expecting reciprocation or reward? Or are all their relationships to some extent transactional? Have they ever loved another person unconditionally, whether a child or another adult?

Alana: I almost was like duh, ofc the princess of love can love unconditionally -- then it hit ... Alana thinks she does. And she CAN. But so much of her dynamics have been transactional - outside if the band and Seven - and with her parents being as they are, there is definitely the belief that she needs to give something in order to get love back. But I think there is also the idea of when she does give and give, love should [or some mimicry] should be handed over. It isn't as egotistical as it sounds but I think it has led to a bit of selfishness as she finds her way out of what toxicity has burdened upon her shoulders. I think there is a lot of selfishness and expectation - at first - in her newly realized romantic love of Seven. The thought if she behaves well and pushes well, things will be solved.

So, no.

BJ: Sort of. I don't think he needs reciprocation but I do think he feels if he gives love he should be merited with others "good behavior" --- ahhh, okay now I see the parental issues 234trrte oh BJ. He did love Seven unconditionally -- I think. Now I am wondering.

Hiyam: Love is DEFFO transactional. LOL. The only [sort of] exceptions are Rowan and the band. And Orion. [Though she doesnt realize that yet.]

Lala: Love is not transactional. And yes they have.

Ori: He is sorta similar to BJ and Alana, yet not -- I think HE believes he must act a certain way, but he doesnt really expect love from it. Just being tolerated. Hence there no sight of reciprocation. He wants you to accept his existence, but he shall love you anway.
