Flowers from my garden way back in September. The rose bush I planted in a pot was so prolific. I can’t wait till it starts to warm up again. In the mean time I’ll enjoy the dried version of these. Have you tried a photo shoot with flowers in milk? It’s pretty easy. Find a white container preferably in the shape of a rectangle so you have plenty of room to shoot the scene. Then add water. And then some milk. You don’t have to add a ton. Just enough to give it that cloudy appearance. Place flowers gently on top of milk water and move them around until you find a composition that feels right. You can add or subtract as you like.

When life gives you 🍋 . I am late for @martinparrfdn #martinparrphotochallenge5 because I couldn’t get my GMT straight in my head 🤕 but you can see I’ve been busy. . I was in college, new to America, when I discovered Talking Heads and I was excited to hear something so unusual to my ear. . 📷This was a rare instance that I wandered around in the evening because the days have been too hot for me 🥵 and I saw this neon studio in my neighborhood that I’ve never noticed before during the day. . The state of my brain Having gone from excitement about having time to slow down, to consuming too much information & entertainment, to annoyance and frustration, now it’s just a crazy jumbles. However... 📷 This picture was a result of seeing @samyoukilis post yesterday on Vietnamese girls playing their version of hacky sack, which reminded me of the time I used to play it using rubber bands tied together. To illustrate what my childhood “hacky sack” looked like, I dug up a bag of rubber bands that we happen to have in our home office, made one and took a snap of it. Later on, being bored out of my mind, I lay around processing the picture until it somehow looks like linguine to me. So there. For better or worse, that’s how inspiration works for me. It’s not about something that somebody teach me how to do, but something I arrive at through the process of curiously following where thoughts and feelings take me. It may not be much to look at but it’s more satisfying than if I just simply copy someone else’s method.
