There's many fics out there that talk about Dandelion working in the Witcher library/archives and they make it seem like all he's doing is indexing but please you know that place hasn't been touched in decades and now there's a guy whose whole thing is literature and writing down history he's gonna take one look at that mess of an archive and how terribly treated and preserved those books and scrolls are and have a fucking meltdown over the lack of respect for the place

He gets so worked up about it he can't even say words, it's the first time since he was a boy that Vesemir has ever been so thoroughly verbally assaulted, the only thing stopping Dandelion from getting violent is that he doesn't know where to even start. The Witchers are immediately banned from the place; it's going to take years for him to go through even a small portion of these archives and sort all this shit out let alone the actual cleaning and dusting and IS THAT SHELF ROTTING WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING
