Arcane women accidentally confessing to you. | Sevika, Jinx, Caitlyn, Vi x Gn!Reader
This is very self-indulgent, so enjoy.<3
Content: pre-season 2 because I want to be happy rn, slight angst if you squint, fluff, accidental confessions, maybe ooc??, cursing, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!
((Not proofread))
》SEVIKA
She was resting at the last drop with you during some downtime in between missions. One hand lingered on your hip whilst her metallic one held onto her cigar, eyes focused on the pocker game she was playing with a couple of Silco's other henchmen. She always kept you close this way, a clear sign of who you belonged to despite never having said a word about it yet. It was a mutual understanding only you could have, and so she didn't think a confession was necessary.
Until today, it seemed.
You were secretly helping her cheat a little and eventually told her the winning move, which earned her a large sum of money. Letting out a smug laugh at everyone's angered and defeated glares, she gave you a lazy grin. "Thanks, sweetheart. This is why I love you." She hummed to you, smoke exhaling from her dark lips, before she froze ever so slightly. Well, it shouldn't be that much of a surprise to either of you, and yet she couldn't help but chuckle at your own stunned face.
Looking at the men around her, she threw some poker chips towards them, clearly asking for another round. She wasn't the type to get flustered or shy anyways, so her moving on like nothing happened was on brand.
The only acknowledgment you got, however, was the hand on your hip tightening.
》JINX
She has a hard time hiding her feelings for you due to her rather energetic and extremely clingy nature. But there is still a clear distance between you two that she's too scared to cross. It was a deep fear of ruining everything she had with you in case her confession went wrong. She'd rather you consider her your best friend for life if it meant for you to stay at her side. She didn't want to lose more people after all. And yet, as fate has it, she eventually lost herself in a good and happy moment with you.
You were tinkering on some projects in her hideout whilst listening to music. Her head was leaning against your shoulder as her eyes traced your focused gaze. Jinx felt so content and at peace in that moment that she couldn't stop the words that spilled out of her mouth. "I love you." It took her a second to realise what happened, and her body was quick to flinch away from you. You kept her in place, however, with a free hand placed against her head. "Hey, it's okay. I love you too. I'm not leaving." You reassured her quickly with a smile, one that made her heart skip a beat.
She may not see herself as deserving of you, but she's glad to have you at her side anyway. Hopefully forever.
》CAITLYN
Caitlyn was good at hiding her emotions from you. In fact, she had refused to tell you in fear of breaking the professionalism you two had and, most importantly, your friendship that she cherished deeply. And so, she was very careful not to reveal a single thing... until her confidence betrayed her and caused her to slip up.
You two were reviewing a new case together, and whilst she wasn't paying attention, she accidentally slid you her diary over. It unfortunately looked too similar to her work notebook, something she only realised the moment you opened it and froze in surprise. She may have scribbled your name all over it. She may have childishly drawn hearts around your name. She may have made it awfully clear that she loved you. And it made her wonder if there was a god out there that hated her deeply.
"... My apologies. Please ignore that-" "-Haha, I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who did this!" You let out a soft laugh before pulling out your notebook and showing her similar pages to her own, just with her name written all over them. Her face was flushed from how flustered and embarrassed she was, but alas, she too couldn't help and chuckle at how silly this all was. At least you felt the same.
》VI
It's not like she didn't want to confess her feelings to you. She just didn't know how! Her confession should sweep you right off your feet in her mind, and yet nothing she came up with seemed good enough. Vi hoped that her flirting would get the point across, but she lacked the confidence to go any further than compliments. She just didn't want you to think differently of her and therefore kept her distance for the most part regarding the subject. That is if she could keep it in for lobger than she already has. She always felt so strongly about others, after all.
So, during a little hang out session in a bar somewhere in Zaun, she attempted to find the courage to tell you how she felt. Whilst she went off to go and get you a drink first, however, a drunken man showed up at your side and started flirting you in a rather uncomfortable way. You tried making it clear that you weren't interested, but as he went to grab your arm, a hand slammed in between you two onto the bar table. "Hey, I think they told you no, asshole." "Who the hell are you?" The man barked back, yet Vi didn't back down and simply blocked you from his view with her body. "I'm their girlfriend, now fuck off." She hissed, and the man just rolled his eyes before walking off grumbling.
Silence filled the space in between you two until you chuckled softly. "Girlfriend, huh? I like the sound of that." You hummed, secretly trying to ease her embarrassed mind, that quickly recovered at your words with a sly grin. "You do?" You mirrored her smile with a nod. "Very much so. I'm glad we think alike."

What are closed culture names ?
This is atleast a gathering of what we learned from researching the concept of closed culture names + responses form this post this isn’t like ,,, a super duper in depth analyzation but it’s something ,
+ link to a Reddit ask abt this concept
Section 1. What does “ closed culture mean ? ”
Closed culture: a culture that is specific to a group of people and that outsiders are not allowed to / highly discouraged in participating in . A example would be Hoodoo
A lot of times closed cultures are closed due to outsiders just being unable to understand the complexities of said culture and their traditions .
Section 2. What is a “ closed culture name “
A closed culture name would be a name that is specific to those in a closed culture that outsiders should not use. Usually the names have specific meanings and are given to specific people / have ties in traditions etc ,
Closed cultural names are NOT just names that have POC origins ( like Asian names , African names etc ) which is what usually people try to say online , closed cultural names are very specific and aren’t a concept exclusive to POC cultures
of course every one is able to have differing opinions about sharing culture with others and stuff but trying to claim that all Asian , African , Spanish etc names are “ closed culture names “ is just factually incorrect.
somone using the name ,, let’s say Aoi as a non Japanese person is not misusing a closed culture name. Aoi is not a closed culture name it is just a name that happens to have Japanese origins. ( aslong as they aren’t using it JUST cuz its Japanese name and they want to seem Japanese or smthing )
anyways uhm yeah rant over hopefully this isn’t confusing ? We tried our very best !/gen
also btw feel free to add on our correct us/gen
note: we also did ask a lot of our IRL POC friends about this and some of them helped us write this /gen
-Vee and Link
+ we are sick rn so our thoughts aren’t the best

hey jumblr, we gotta talk about some things.
in no particular order
we HAVE to stop calling events and people "barbaric" or "barbarians." It has a long and dirty history of being a slur (meaning primitive, uneducated, savage, etc) against Imazighen, Turks, Arabs, Native Americans, -- ancient Greeks used it as a word to denote "everyone Non-Greek that's acceptable to put into chattel slavery." It's a word we should not have in our vocabularies, and we can use so many other words to describe heinous, atrocious, unforgivable events, and people who have done terrible things. We need to remember that everyone we are talking about is human and dehumanization leads to evil outcomes.
the whole "you wouldn't treat XYZ other racialized group like this!" rhetoric discourages solidarity with other groups, and is flat-out wrong. I'm a mixed Rom and I can tell you we get about the same treatment. We should handshake and join arms, not bicker and waste time arguing over who gets better scraps. It might actually really help build bridges if we connected Jewish oppression to others, because it IS connected. Let's throw "you wouldnt treat XYZ other group" in the recycling bin and turn it into some better rhetoric + solidarity discourse. It hurts because nobody has allowed us any space to heal our trauma. That makes sense. It's ok. We can still build bridges instead of isolating further, and hopefully those bridges will lead us closer to healing as a People.
I'm seeing a concerning number of Jews in my life falling for more conservative sources and information, giving in to their trauma response and unwittingly believing + sourcing information that reinforces their biases, but comes from unreliable or bigoted sources. It's normal. It's understandable. It's also Not Okay. Please double-check the biases and financers of sources that talk about the Israel/Gaza war, or campus antisemitism, or how marginalized people believe this or that thing based on this study (and double check the study if it's worth the time) because you might find a lot of snakes in the grass trying to take advantage of Jewish pain and trauma for their own causes.
I am NOT saying Jewish people uniquely do these things, not even a little. It's just that I'm part of this community, and have noticed this in a number of Jewish spaces, and wanted to comment. This is NOT an invitation to harass Jewish people, discourse about the war in Gaza, or otherwise act in ways that would upset and "dunk on" some specific group or idea. If you're here to hunt for (((zionists))) then I'll just block you if you interact. I'm writing this disclaimer for any non-Jews who may see this and think they have a voice in the matter -- u do not -- Unless you're a jew of color or non-jew person of color who wants to talk about solidarity w/ Jews, that's ok. Even if it comes with messy feelings. Just keep it productive, and as compassionate as you can manage.
I just wanted to call out some trends I'm seeing that aren't HUGE issues by any means, but I see them often enough that I wanted to mention it and get it going in the minds of other folks.
Thanks for listening. All love and respect. <3 Am yisrael chai.

Creature Comfort
Pairing: Marcus Acacius x Female Reader/OFC
Word Count: 7.6k
Summary:
Waiting out there is General Marcus Acacius. A real man of flesh and blood, strength and power. The legendary Atlas Lion himself.
Your husband-to-be.
Rating: M / 18+ only
Warnings: Language, at least a million historical inaccuracies, referenced smut, references of blood + war + death, weapons, too many lion/animal references and metaphors to count, reader has self-esteem issues, arranged marriage, domestic life, cameo of reader's parents, switching povs,
- Reader has no name and no physical traits described in detail. Reader wears clothes such as a toga + wedding outfit
Author Note: This started as me simply wanting to write a fic where Acacius is compared to a lion and Reader's his wife and then it quickly led to me having a complete emotional breakdown that caused me to quit writing entirely for several months. Not one of my finest moments, but 🤷♀️ that's life I guess. It's nice to finally toss this fic out here, hopefully someone somewhere enjoys it 🧡
Special thanks to @wheresarizona for putting up with my emotional highs and lows and answering some questions about Rome for me and for just being an overall too-nice-for-this-world person I'm lucky to have met on here 💗
The morning of your wedding you can barely stomach your breakfast. Nerves are natural, your mother assures you, watching with a critical eye as the female servants of the house help dress you.
Your impending ceremony has severed your protection of your family’s household gods, leaving you spiritually defenseless until you’re officially wed to your husband. Maybe that is the true source of your worries, dark spirits playing wicked games with your heartstrings. Or maybe it’s your mother’s looming presence coupled with her stubborn determination to see you safely married off, analyzing every inch of your bridal outfit to root out the tiniest of imperfections, that has your stomach tied up in knots.
The wreath atop your head is thick with summer blooms, their scent potent and almost sickly sweet, tickling the inside of your nose. You’d sneeze if not for the veil covering your face, attached to a headband beneath the tangled greenery, its deep yellow color identical to the slippers donning your feet.
You’d personally woven your tunic on your family’s loom, a task expected of every new bride, intertwining every fiber into tangible proof to show your husband you were ready for the responsibilities of managing his household. Linen had been your initial choice, but your mother insisted wool was the better material to repel the forces of evil. The garment is heavy beneath your matching white stola, but rather than irritating there’s something oddly comforting about the weight. Almost like a warm embrace.
It’s tradition for weddings to take place in the home of the bride’s father. You can hear the arrival of guests now outside your room. Friends and relatives and other miscellaneous people here to witness and celebrate the union. Every minute brings you closer to a new stage of your life, and if not for the servants’ steadying hands, your weak knees might send you crashing to the floor. Fainting would surely be interpreted as a bad omen, derailing the whole ceremony before it even truly began.
You suck in a quiet breath, shoving down the worst of your anxieties. This day–your wedding–has been on your mind practically your whole life. You’d learned from a young age the importance of marriages arranged between families for political and financial purposes. You’d also learned you wouldn’t be the one choosing your future husband, that decision would be made by your father alone.
Of course, you’d be lying if you said you didn’t imagine marrying someone who was your own choice. Someone kind and handsome and as loyal as your household’s guard dogs. Someone who loved you above all others.
But waiting for you out there isn’t the imaginary stranger who's starred in your most intimate dreams. Waiting out there is General Marcus Acacius. A real man of flesh and blood, strength and power. The legendary Atlas Lion himself.
Your husband-to-be.
When the pronuba arrives to accompany you to the ceremony, the servants disperse but your mother lingers a beat longer, running her fingers over your shoulders to smoothen out non-existent creases. Neither of you mention the shiny gleam of her eyes or the trembling of your hands.
Then, with a firm nod of her head, your mother declares, “She’s ready,” and leaves without another look to join your father’s side.
Your mother is not prone to lying. If she says you’re ready, then ready you must be.
You take another deep breath before linking your arm through the elder matron’s, but it’s the gentle patting of her hand on yours which calms you most. A reassurance of good things to come.
Stepping out into the atrium, you’re met with a packed crowd, locals and soldiers mixed as one, craning their necks for a glimpse of you. Their clothes resemble yours and the groom’s, another tactic to confuse evil spirits, but human eyes only need to spot your yellow veil to recognize you as the bride. And as for Acacius…
Well. To mistake the Atlas Lion for another would be as foolish as mistaking fire for water. He is unique in all the world.
You see him standing at the altar with the high priest, clad in a purple toga embroidered with a lion’s head in golden thread. A reward in honor of the general’s triumphs in warfare. The placement of the lion above his heart is deliberate, you suspect. A warning of what lies beneath the surface. A guarantee all the tales of his savagery and blood lust passed from mouth to mouth from the battlefields to the city streets are true.
Is it terrible that a part of you–an inane, minuscule scrap of a thing you’ll never verbally acknowledge, not even under oath–is fervently captivated by the notion? You should be listening to the high priest’s prayers to Juno, paying attention to the omens he reads in the entrails of the sacrificed ram upon the altar. But Acacius’ brown eyes, burning with the radiant June sunshine and something else distinctly dangerous, put a flame to your focus and narrow your vision to one central, all-encompassing point.
Is it terrible that you can meet a lion’s stare without a modicum of fear? You wonder how many have been able to say the same, if anyone else at all.
The priest deems the relationship blessed by the gods, carrying on with the proceedings, oblivious to your state of mind. He asks Acacius to make certain his intentions, if you are an acceptable wife.
Acacius draws himself up to full height, an immovable mountain firm in his convictions. “She is mine to me,” the timbre of his gravelly voice drags over you, eliciting a shudder down your spine you pray the elder matron does not notice. “I will want no other.”
Then it is your turn, and your voice is only a little hoarse when you confirm, “He will be my husband. My only choice.”
The slightest quirk of a smile curls the corner of Acacius’ lips. Instinctively, you return it with a small grin of your own. And even though he can’t physically see your face behind the veil, you think, somehow, he does see you.
It’s only after signing the marriage contract with crimson seals that the pronuba places your right hand in Acacius’, officially uniting you as one. The general’s palm is callused, fingers thick and gnarled from past wounds, but you can’t find it in yourself to hate them, or recoil, or do anything else than keep holding on.
“Raise the veil,” the priest says.
You swallow, the fingers of your left hand spasming against your side, then slowly reach for a fistful of the yellow fabric. Pulling it up over your head, you carefully watch the lines of Acacius’ expression, heartbeat fluttering at the way those brown eyes widen, taking you in for the first time. Absorbing everything like it might be his only chance. Like you’re something wondrous worth memorizing.
Acacius starts leaning forward, sending every last thought in your head scattering with his nearness. He’s massive, radiating such intense warmth, thumb stroking a line of heat along your wrist. There’s a fire igniting in your chest, lungs choking on the smoke, yet you’re trembling when he cups your face, the quietest of whines escaping your parted lips.
Please, you start to beg, the whooshing of blood thundering in your eardrums, plea–
Acacius swallows the silent plea with his own mouth, kissing you like a starving man. This isn’t love–no, it’s too soon for such sentiment–this is carnal passion, roaming tongues and clashing teeth like you’re no better than animals committed to the hunt of this new territory, this new taste.
The eruption of applause yanks you back to reality. You tear yourself away with a choked gasp, and it’s satisfying seeing the heave of Acacius’ broad chest with each ragged inhale as you both struggle to catch your breaths. You did that. You’re the reason for the flare of lust in his eyes and smear of spit across his bottom lip.
You’ve heard people say no man’s looks can compete with Adonis’ striking beauty. A fallacy, you realize in that moment upon seeing General Marcus Acacius in purple and gold, dark curls caressed by the gentle breeze, a constellation of freckles along the tendons of his neck, hardened by violence yet holding your hand so heartachingly sweet.
The rest of the world can have Adonis.
And as for you–boldly and selfishly, you’ll keep this man. The legendary Atlas Lion himself.
Your husband.
~~
The wedding feast afterwards is a blur of lavish food and wine, the jovial notes of flutes accompanying fescennine songs with interjections of salutations shouted from inebriated lips. Every touch of Acacius’ hand against your arm, your waist, everywhere sends sparks skittering along your nerves. It’s as bewildering as it is thrilling, like you’re balancing on the edge of a precipice, and you wonder if this is what Icarus felt moments before he flew too close to the sun. Falling, falling, falling…
You can only hope you meet a different, kinder fate.
When the sky begins to change and darken with the promise of encroaching evening time, you find yourself standing in the middle of your childhood home, trying to etch into memory everything from the slope of the roof to the tiny cracks in the stone floor. All the noises and voices seem to fade away, granting you this moment to yourself.
Once you step outside, there will be no familiarity to cling to. You’ll be escorted by the crowd of guests to Acacius’ secondary home—smaller, but no less grand than his main domus in Cosa. A port city to the south you’ll have to learn to navigate from square one—and then, once alone with the general, taken to his bed. His body will be another, far more intricate labyrinth you’ll need to learn and recognize the details of.
A new city, a new spouse, a new chapter of life with new expectations…
It’s overwhelming to say the least.
Your eyes cut to Acacius across the room, widening when you catch him already watching you. Something in your chest aches upon realizing you don’t know him well enough to read his face. If he’s angry, pleased, or just totally indifferent. But you can’t look away. Caught and cornered.
Like prey, you think, loathing the thought as soon as it forms. A lion cannot have a mouse for a wife. Imagine the shame of being an unworthy partner of one of Rome’s highest-ranking generals. Your name dragged through the mud, an embarrassment to your family and a blight on Acacius’ esteemed reputation—to say nothing of how the gods would react to your ruining of a blessed union. You’d be as insignificant as the fleas on a dog’s pelt in their eyes.
You must be stronger. Braver. Better.
Where Icarus fell, you must fly.
Maybe Acacius senses this change stirring within you, or maybe he grows impatient with this lengthy staring contest, either way he suddenly draws closer, weaving between bodies until he comes to a stop in front of you. Purposefully within grabbing reach. The ache in your chest lessens at that, replaced by a spike of adrenaline as awareness dawns.
“Is it time to leave?” you ask.
“It is,” he answers. Then, quick as lightning and just as unexpected, he pinches your waist.
You jerk away at the teasing touch, gaping like a fish. “Do you touch all women in that manner?”
“No.” A smug smirk spreads across his handsome face. Relishing his next words. “Only the woman who belongs to me.”
Possessive brute. Your eyes narrow even as heat envelops your body, toes curling in your shoes.
“You haven’t taken me yet. My body has no claim.”
Acacius’ jaw clenches at that. Like he’s holding onto his restraint by a mere thread. It’s practically tangible, a siren song tempting you to flex your claws.
“Answer me this, general, because it remains unclear to me.” Tilting your head, exposing the column of your neck for his hungry gaze to feast upon, your tone is deliberately provoking. “Are you a passionate man of action? Or merely a man of empty words?”
“Bite your tongue,” his tone is low, closer to a snarl than actual speech. You almost believe he’s angry, if not for the glint in his brown eyes, aroused and impressed by your antics in equal measure.
“I’d rather you bite it.”
The fragile thread snaps.
Acacius is on you at once, his large hands seizing hold of your arms. You wrestle against his grip, delivering a solid kick to his shin that draws an irritated hiss. He puts up with your struggling for a bit longer, unaffected by your inexpert blows to his torso, then ends it with a harsh tug, pulling you flush against his brick wall of a body. He sticks his face in your neck, breath hot and ticklish, mouthing at your thrumming pulse with blunt teeth. Oh gods. You slump against him, letting his thick muscles take the brunt of your weight, mind sinking like a stone in the overflowing well of new and overwhelming sensations. Desperate for more, more, more.
The deep rumbling of his chuckling vibrates through your bones, and you have the deliriously greedy thought of cutting out a piece of yourself to store the sound there.
“You’ve caused quite a scene,” he murmurs into the underside of your jaw, sounding just as wrecked as you feel. But beneath the raspiness, you detect the unmistakable lilt of amusement.
“It’s tradition,” you breathe, conscious of the numerous stares watching your every move, including your mother’s. Your pretending of resistance must have been satisfactory enough for her to not intervene.
Acacius leans back just enough to look at you, cradling you in the cage of his arms and chest. You place your hands upon his waist, absently clutching the purple-dyed wool between your fingers.
“Tell me how to call you.” It’s not a request.
“What?” Yet another tradition to appease household gods is meant to happen later after you had arrived at the threshold of Acacius’ home and smeared the doorway in oil and fat. He would ask you your name, to which you answer, taking your husband’s and modifying it: where you are Marcus, I am Marcia. And at last, excluding the event of a bad omen occurring, he would carry you inside. Your brow furrows, not understanding why he’s changing the order of things. “Shouldn’t we—”
“Not the name tradition wants, nor the one your parents and the gods assigned you,” he interrupts. “Tell me how I will call you when we’re alone.”
Oh.
You bow your head to hide your smile, pleased to have a choice. Your eyes fall upon the golden lion head.
Oh.
“Where and when you are Leo,” you tell him, trailing a finger along the perfectly stitched mane before tapping the spot where his heart resides. “There and then I am Leaena.”
~~
{His bride is too innocent, too unaware of the ruthless nature of the Empire’s politics to endure what is expected of her as a general’s wife. This marriage should never have been blessed by the gods.
Still, Acacius can’t stop his gaze from following her every movement, intrigued to know the thoughts running through her head. Can’t stop himself from touching her either, drawn to her warmth, the rightness of her body in his hold. The ceremony was mere hours ago, yet seeing her in his bed, flesh bare and soft and trembling beneath him, the woman has already become the most important treasure of his life. His to worship and protect for the rest of his days.
“Gods, you really are massive all over,” she blurts out, seemingly without thinking, feeling the press of his hard cock against her. Then immediately averts her eyes with a nervous giggle, insecure of her own inexperience. “Could–could we take it slow?”
“That’s fine, my leaena,” he assures her, kissing the corner of her mouth, addicted to her taste dangerously fast. She won’t last, he thinks, scraping his teeth along her neck. They’ll swallow her whole. “I’ll make you feel good. I’ll take care of you.” And he sees it, the exact moment the apprehension slips aside and trust rises to take its place in those big, expressive eyes. She wants this—wants him.
It’s an impulsive, raw need that has him leaning down to kiss her, licking deep into her mouth, craving something he doesn’t know the name of. Repentance, maybe, for the hell coming her way in the coming months. Or maybe he’s just a selfish man who wants this, wants her, more than he deserves.
She rips him out of his thoughts by grabbing fistfulls of his curls, tugging until they’re even closer pressed together, opening up for him impossibly wider.
Maybe he’s wrong in his initial assumptions of his bride.
Maybe she’ll be the one to take care of him.}
~~
Cosa matters a great deal to the Empire. A strategically defendable port with close connections to sources of timber and other supplies necessary for maintaining a vast army of fleets. The city itself was built upon a hill, high enough that on a clear day one could see miles of the Tyrrhenian Sea’s coastline. The crashes of the blue-green waves against the limestone cliffs.
Accompanying Acacius into the forum provides you with opportunities to observe the city’s layout. Enclosed within an imposing circuit of walls, the community has put careful thought into every corner of limited space, separating private houses from the sacred temples and civic buildings. Necessary architecture only, no spare room for the entertainment of a theatre.
Cosa is significantly smaller than the size of your birthplace, drenched in the scents of sea salt and fish, yet there are elements of opulence if one looks close enough. Pearl necklaces adorning necks and solid gold bracelets fastened around wrists. Chairs carved from precious woods, embellished with touches of silver or bronze. Acacius’ curule seat in his tablinum is made out of pure ivory, its legs resembling a lion’s paws. A gift from the Senate after a successful military campaign.
The majority of Acacius’ hours in the public square is split between the basilica, the curia, and the comitium speaking with the aediles and magistrates. Offices of elected officials which exclude women from entry–not that you have much interest in politics anyways.
The marketplace quickly becomes your favorite place outside of your domus. A variety of stalls clustered together bustling with activity. Haggling becomes second nature to you, and when you can’t get the price you want you make trades with your weavings.
Still. Cosa is a small enough city where you’re easily recognized as someone new by the locals. More than once you’ve experienced lingering glances, examining everything from your clothes to your hair. More than once those eyes have made your shoulder blades curl with the instinct to somehow fold into yourself like the little crabs that occasionally wash up on the sandy coastline.
A week after settling in, a man in the bathhouse grabs at your palla before you can enter the women’s section, pulling harsh enough to send your mother’s brooch clattering to the ground. You press a hand over your pounding heart, scrambling backwards a few steps, all too aware of the heavy veil of silence that has fallen over the room.
Acacius calmly appears at your side, soundless in his approach, filling the whole place with his commanding presence.
A blink. That’s all it takes.
One blink and suddenly the man’s blood spatters the stucco wall as Acacius slams his skull against it repeatedly until he no longer resembles anything human. Just a gruesome muddle of scarlet and bone, life thread severed by the jaws of death.
Acacius releases his hold, then points a bloodstained finger at you. “She is mine. Anyone who touches her will face my retribution. And I won’t hesitate to add another soul to Dis Pater’s realm.”
~~
Living under the roof of your parents, you’d thought of home as a physical structure. A place to stay in a world full of constantly moving parts.
Marriage has taught you home is so much more. It’s the soft notes you hum as you spin and weave wool. A kiss pressed to your temple as Acacius moves past. The scent of fresh citrus each morning for breakfast and the sweet taste of fine wines. Plans to visit the coast. A bowl of seashells. Gazing up at constellations when the moon is high. Feelings bubbling up, spilling out, casting shadows on the walls and slipping beneath the bed sheets. It’s the warmth of another body, touching, feeling, familiarizing, until two halves become an inseverable one whole.
Home is learning to be loved and to be in love.
~~
Acacius doesn’t receive many guests in his tablinum, preferring to settle his business affairs in the public offices, yet he still keeps a cushioned stool in front of his desk. You sit there, elbow propped on his desk and chin resting upon your fist, watching your husband search through his shelf of scrolls. The mosaic floors have been recently cleaned, colors popping vividly in the patches of sunlight sneaking in, and the painted scenes of nature adorning the walls are masterfully done, but you can’t bring yourself to look anywhere else except him.
“Where did your name come from?” you ask, breaking up the quiet.
Acacius pauses, glancing back with a raised eyebrow. “It was my father’s name. And his father’s name. And his father’s father’s name and–”
“You know that’s not what I mean.” Your scolding is softened by the smile pulling at the corner of your mouth. Acacius keeps looking at you, smirking like he finds the whole thing amusing. “The Atlas Lion. A moniker as frightful as that, it must have an origin.”
He chuckles that deep, rumbling laugh of his. “Wondered when you’d finally ask.”
His tone is light, still smirking, but you see through the cracks of the facade. See the hesitation in the lowering of his eyes to the floor, see the slight furrow in his brow that only appears when he’s worried he’s upset you. He’s nervous—it’s so obvious and so dearly human that it aches. It looks absolutely wrong on the face of a man known throughout the Empire for his larger-than-life confidence.
You watch him warily, unsure what to do, what to say beyond his name. “Acacius.”
Your husband faces the scrolls again, and for a moment you’re afraid the fragile moment’s broken, but then he tells you the story behind his name. ‘Story’ is too soft a word though. Stories are for parties and entertainment, full of humor and unfolding drama and moral lessons. Acacius doesn’t tell you a story. No, he tells you his truth.
Acacius doesn’t mince words, describing the hellish months of military training in grueling detail. He tells you, in an almost detached manner, how he’d been a different man back then. Scrawnier, unused to bloodshed, restless, but above all else, near feral with the need to prove his own worth.
“It was General Meridius’ idea for soldiers to train as bestiarii.” There’s something about the way he says the name—full of respect. Admiration for a superior. But you think you detect a note of something else laced within the syllables too. Something almost…sad sounding. Grieving, perhaps. It’s gone in the next breath. “Face to face with wild beasts, you either become an expert with your weapon fast or you die an unglorified death in the arena.”
For all the nights you’ve traced meaningless patterns along the large scars gouged into Acacius’ shoulders, you didn’t ask about them. Assumed they were the result of a too-close enemy with a too-sharp weapon. A blade or spear, something man-made. Never occurred to you to think of fangs and claws as weapons too.
Blinking sharply, you sit up straighter, stuttering, “W-wait, are you…is that where…” There’s a swarm of questions buzzing in your head, stinging the back of your throat when you try to voice them. Finally, you manage to choke out, “So, that’s how you got your name? You actually fought lions?”
Acacius finally turns around at that, only to surprise you by shaking his head. “I did fight lions—and bears, boars, even a pair of hyenas once. But that’s not why they call me the Atlas Lion.”
He trails off, tension in the wrinkled lines of his expression your hands itch to smoothen out. You hesitate to rise from your seat, unable to tell if drawing closer would lighten your husband’s mood or worsen it. Moments like this–where he’s loosened the reins of his tightly controlled emotions, offering a glimpse of an ordinary, flesh and blood mortal man who’s been chewed up and spit out a dozen times over– are few and far between. Delicate like fine glass, requiring just the right handling.
“To prove I was ready for the army, I had to pass a test,” he explains. “I fought everything that attacked me. I stopped thinking, stopped feeling. Nothing mattered except the next stab of my gladius. And when they started throwing men into the arena, I didn’t even notice.” Acacius exhales a ragged breath. “I stopped seeing people as people.”
“What do you mean?” you ask, voice barely above a murmur.
There’s another pause, time seeming to slow down, seconds stretching lazily like a plump housecat, and then Acacius crosses the distance, close enough your knees graze each other, head tilted back to peer up at him. He says nothing, even as his thumb brushes over your chapped lips.
“Acacius.” Your body trembles, edges of your vision starting to blur. You lean into his touch. The center of your universe.
“I mean,” Acacius says, eyes on your mouth. Your lips part unthinkingly, letting his thumb slip inside, pressing lightly against your bottom teeth. “We’re all just animals, my leaena. Red tongues and hands.”
~~
The air is cool this time of night, seems to press against your skin like a damp washcloth. Cleansing you from the inside out with each deep inhale.
Acacius stands in the courtyard, bronze skin painted in streaks of moonbeams and starlight, hair tousled by fitful hands. His absence from bed had stirred you awake, and a part of you wonders if these midnight musings are a regular occurrence you’ve only just now become aware of. Not all dreams are sweet after all, especially for soldiers.
“A nightmare?” you ask, a hushed inquiry disrupting the still of night.
“A memory,” is all he offers.
“Oh.”
He hasn’t looked at you yet, brown eyes boring holes into the distant moon. Maybe you should return to bed, give him space and privacy to sort himself out. But your bare feet stick to the floor and you can’t pull your eyes away. Noting the rhythmic clenching and unclenching of his hands, the rising and falling of his chest with each breath.
You try to ignore the disappointment gnawing at your heart, hurt that Acacius won’t share his internal burden with you, even in the cover of darkness where it’s just you and him.
He’s revealed the truth of his name with you. Encouraged you to lick and bite and mark every inch of his flesh as your own. But tonight he’s put up a wall you can’t climb over.
Maybe that’s why you stay. You’re a glutton for punishment.
Somewhere else in the city, a dog begins to bark. It’s a harsh sound, all teeth, defending its territory from a threat, and you flinch despite the distance. Unsurprisingly, Acacius doesn’t so much as even twitch.
What is surprising though, is that he chooses then to finally speak.
“There are victories yet still to come,” he mutters, a tremor to his voice you’ve never heard before, like he’s standing on unsteady ground. And there’s this look in his eyes that unsettles you, haunted by something only he can see. “That’s what they always say.”
They?
Stepping closer, you gently bump your hand against his. A knot unravels in your chest when he blinks back to himself, pinky hooking onto yours. A tether securing him home with you.
“Who says that?”
“The Emperors.”
You don’t know what to say to that. Don’t know what words will build his wall higher or what ones will knock it down–if that’s even possible.
“What are they like?” Your mouth makes the choice for you. “Geta and Caracalla?”
You’ve never been to Rome, never seen the ruling brothers in person. All you really know about them are the stories and rumors from the mouths of travelers gossiping in the marketplace. Sometimes nice things are said, sometimes…not so nice things.
“They’re…” Dark brows draw together, mouth pulling downward in a frown. Acacius finally looks at you, the brown of his eyes lost in the dark, but not the sharp glint of fear. Tumultuous and excruciating, you feel it cut deep. “They’re fire and water. Two opposing forces unfit to inhabit the same space. It’s only a matter of time before one prevails over the other.”
You swallow, nervousness swelling in the pit of your stomach at the flat, doomed sound of certainty he speaks with. “And then what happens?”
“The Empire will either burn or drown."
“And us?” you ask tentatively. “What will happen to us?”
Acacius doesn’t have an answer.
~~
A Roman naval ship is spotted just as dawn breaks, drawing a sizable crowd by the time it docks in the harbor. There’s a sense of wrongness associated with the lack of an official fleet, and that unsettling feeling is multiplied tenfold when it’s announced there are numerous injured soldiers aboard.
Acacius attends to them, ensuring each gets medical attention while also gathering information from the head officer in charge. You stand at the back of the crowd, heart in your throat, seeing but not truly processing. Blood, so much red. Expressions of young men scrunched in pain. The grim, motionless bodies of those who didn’t last the final hours of the journey.
“Steel yourself.” A feminine voice warns, and you turn with a blink of surprise upon seeing the high priestess at your side, unused to encountering her outside her temple walls. The sea breeze ruffles the red and white ribbons in her braided hair as she holds your gaze, calm in an almost preternatural way compared to the surrounding commotion. “You are a general’s wife. To express your fear in public is to express doubt of the Empire’s dominance and your husband’s own prowess.”
Her words sink like a stone in your stomach. “I’ll be better,” you promise, the acidic taste of shame burning the back of your throat.
“Stronger,” she corrects, fierce blue eyes rivaling an ocean storm. “You must be stronger than your greatest fear.”
You can only nod, imagining one of the corpses wearing your husband’s face.
~~
{With every inch of territory the Empire gains, its list of bitter enemies grows exponentially longer. Not every threat rising up in defiance stems from foreign soil though, Acacius was forced to learn that the hard way. He’s seen the effects Rome’s constant warfare and rotting politics have had on its subjects, witnessed people turn against their masters’ hands like rabid dogs hell-bent on stripping flesh from bone.
Rebels are dealt with just like rabid dogs, too. Caught and decapitated in a public spectacle. Crimson rivulets flow from their remains, discoloring the city’s streets reminiscent of a spilled wine stain, seeping into the very foundation itself.
Then come the speeches in the comitium from Cosa’s magistrates. Addressing the huddled masses with sickly sweet, empty promises of better times to come. Lying through their teeth, scared the next outburst of internal strife will end with their own severed heads tossed into the sea.
Acacius’ attendance is mandatory, yet he only pretends to listen while standing on the stone steps behind the speakers. His wife’s shoulder presses against his, their hands firmly locked together, unbothered by the harsh ridges of his battle-hardened palm grazing against her smooth skin. A simple comfort he’d long believed himself unworthy of ever indulging in.
“It tears you up inside, doesn’t it?” His wife’s voice is just a faint murmur, so quiet there isn’t a chance anyone else hears her, but the knowing note in it has his chest tightening with a stiff exhale. “Like a thorn in your soul. Even from Rome, Geta and Caracalla control your tongue.”
“There is a time for a general to speak his mind and there is a time for him to keep his head,” he reminds her frankly, careful to maintain his facade of blank detachment. “It’d do you good to remember your place.”
Her sharp inhale is torturous to his ears. She reacts to his blunt discipline like a physical blow, shoulders sagging, lips pressed together in a thin line, practically rolling over and exposing her vulnerable underbelly. Acacius hates that look. Hates even more he’s the cause of it. He thinks impaling himself with his own blade would hurt less.
Nudging her shoulder drags her gaze reluctantly back to him. And this is not the appropriate setting for levity, Acacius should bite back the smile curling at the corners of his mouth—but for his wife, his divine leaena, he’s a sinner on his knees desperate to be in the warmth of her good graces again. “You are fond of this general’s face, yes?”
It’s not the offering this goddess deserves, but it’s enough to begin mending what he’d torn, soothing the worst of the sting. She smiles, an amused, uneven little twist of her mouth she once confessed being insecure about before he kissed away all worries from her mind. There’s something undeniably perfect about it, like the first rays of sunlight after a bleak winter.
“Of course I am. But…” She bites her lip, caught on something. He squeezes her hand, and it seems to be the needed boost to force the words out from the cage in her throat. “Even the Atlas Lion must want to roar sometimes.”
Acacius should be annoyed with her ability to read him–it’s a weakness, and any weakness in his personal experience is a promise of death’s swift arrival. It isn’t safe, for either of them. But she’s done the unthinkable, worming her way into his ugly, greedy heart, treating it like something tender, something lovable. And it was too damn easy how quickly she filled up every vacant space in his head. From the moment she lifted her veil he’s been enraptured by her essence. Starving for every scrap of attention she’s willing to give. His wife has become a critical piece of his life, as vitally essential as the breath in his lungs and the sword hanging at his hip.
It’s dangerous, what she’s done to him.
But it’s far, far more dangerous, what he’d do for her.
Her eyes widen with surprise when he leans in, pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead, but he feels the way she relaxes against him with easy acceptance. Believing she’s safe with him, ignorant of the threats closing in on all sides. Every day drawing nearer and nearer still.
That will have to change, he swears to himself. Her survival depends upon it.
“Yes,” he says at last, and it’s the most honest he’s been with himself in years. “Sometimes he does.”}
~~
Acacius places one hand on your shoulder, the other settles on your hip. There is nothing delicate about his touch, no hesitation about maneuvering your body into a proper defensive stance. Feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, pugio held in a strong grasp.
“Lower your arm, always aim the blade at your opponent,” Acacius instructs, slipping into his alternate persona as a leader on the battlefield like a second skin, his critical eyes zeroing in on all the mistakes that will get you killed in a moment of danger. “When you hold that dagger, you must hold it with the intent to spill blood, my leaena. Words alone aren’t enough to protect you.”
You swallow, fingers flexing around the hilt. It’s a daunting experience, learning to sever someone’s life thread from an expert on the subject. You’re grateful for the privacy of your domus’ courtyard, concealing your clumsy movements from outsiders who’d undoubtedly laugh at each ungraceful slash and lunge. You resemble a fool, sweaty and fledgling, undeserving of your husband’s calling. The only women you’d seen fight with weapons were gladiatrices at festivals, an exotic and unusual form of entertainment which never failed to attract large crowds. Your mother claimed they brought shame upon womankind, yet when Acacius had asked you to learn, you’d accepted without delay.
She’d disown you immediately if she could see you now. The thought has your stomach churning, a sour taste on the back of your tongue.
“We’re wasting time,” you say, voice hoarse. “I’ll never be strong enough to pose a threat to anyone.”
Acacius clicks his tongue at you. “Never say never, my leaena. You’ll tempt the Fates.”
The courtyard is quiet besides your breathing, and the streets beyond the domus’ walls are empty this time of day. You’re keenly aware of Acacius’ nearness, the slight frown pulling at his lips, like he’s trying to understand your thoughts, and you want to fight him. Howl and claw and lash out like the beast he seeks to bring to light from your depths. But there is nothing there.
“I’m not like you. I can’t be.” His head tilts, still uncomprehending. You gesture at him with your empty hand, the rippling muscles straining the fabric of his sleeveless tunic. “The Atlas Lion. Devourer of the Emperors’ enemies. Ferocity unmatched amongst Rome’s army of warriors.” You then gesture at yourself, forcing the ugly words past your teeth if only so he’ll give up this futile endeavor. “I’m just me.”
The air shifts between you and him, a thick, cloying tension weighing heavily upon your shoulders. It’s only the knowledge that there’s nowhere in all of Cosa you could hide from your husband that keeps you anchored in place even as your heartbeat gallops away. Acacius’ brown eyes darken, thunder clouds blocking out the sun.
And then his callused hands are on your face, palms rough along the underside of your jaw, fingers pressing into the skin, squeezing. Claiming. An inescapable hold.
“Do not,” he starts, voice low and gravelly, a snarling darkness you’ve never heard before and never want to again, “ever speak so poorly of yourself again. How can you think of yourself as anything less than magnificent? How can you not know of the power you wield over me? You’ve made me live again. My heart, long cold and numbed by the trials of war, beats again only for you. There is nothing more valuable to me than your wellbeing–not wealth nor fame, nothing. Is it clear to you yet? You have tamed the Atlas Lion body and soul. This general heeds your every call.”
You shudder, dazed and captivated by his close proximity, his devotion. Intoxicated, that’s what you feel. So caught up in a fog of mindless pleasure you fail to notice him guiding your hand up, up, up until the pugio’s blade is put to his throat.
“All that I am is yours,” Acacius says, hushed now, a secret between lovers. The dagger pierces skin, a thin trickle of blood oozing. You flinch, eyes widening, but his hold remains firm. “Which makes you the most dangerous creature of all. And for that reason, my leaena, you will and you must learn to fight.”
He shoves you backwards a step. It’s not his full strength, more surprising than hurtful, but something inside you uncoils, teeth gnashing. A feeling sparks in your bloodstream, erupting into a wildfire at the look of pride in Acacius’ eye when you reflexively point your pugio at his heart.
You swipe at him, again and again, driven by this new source of power. And through it all he holds your gaze, the brown of his eyes as sharp as the blade in your hand. Neither one says I love you, I’d take a bite out of the world for you but neither one needs to.
Actions have always been louder than words.
~~
“Do you ever think about what’s out there?” you ask one night in bed together. Acacius reclines against the headboard, staring at you through half-lidded eyes as you drag your fingertips over his bare, scarred skin in meaningless patterns.
Would anyone believe this man was the Atlas Lion? A wild, virulent beast compliant and disarmed beneath the gentle stroke of your touch?
No. You think not.
“Out where?”
You bite the inside of your cheek, thumb catching on a particularly rough patch of damaged skin left of his hip bone. Every battle he fought, every combatant he faced—Mars laid fresh claims to his body with each fresh cicatrix.
Claims you challenge the only way you know how. Scrapes of your nails breaking skin and tender presses of your mouth licking up the crimson pearls of blood.
“Beyond the Empire’s borders. Somewhere without war.”
Acacius’ brow creases, gaze alert now, looking at you as if you’ve spoken a different language. “Without war…” he repeats slowly. “My leaena, there is no place such as that. Discordia’s reach is far, farther than the Emperors could ever conquer in their combined lifetimes, stirring up strife deep in the hearts of even the mildest of men, and it will always find an outlet one way or another.”
“Oh.” You clear your throat. It’s not the response you had hoped for, but it’s the one you should have expected. Acacius isn’t the type of man to indulge in far-fetched fantasies of softer living. Can’t be, not with all the horrors he’s witnessed and played a part in crafting.
“But,” Acacius pauses, and his hand covers yours. Not holding or moving it, just staying there. Feeling. “If somewhere without war did exist…” he smiles, a soft and little thing reserved just for these quiet moments. “I’d do whatever it took to get us there.”
~~
The wool for your new palla has been carded and spun into yarn. It stretches and winds around the teeth of your wooden loom, weighed down by terracotta scales.
You’re alone in the domus. Acacius had been summoned by the magistrates for an urgent meeting, and you try not to let fear interfere with your work, an aggressive wasp buzzing at the back of your mind. Your touch remains light when pulling at uneven sections, its intended shape coming together bit by bit. The whooshing of a racing heartbeat echoes in your ears.
So long as there is land outside the Empire’s borders, the Emperors will expect Acacius to conquer it in their names. His time in Cosa is trapped in an hourglass, never quite knowing when the last grain of sand will slip away, summoned back to the front lines for another campaign. Another brush with death. Another chapter added to his legacy.
You feel the sand’s effects sometimes, a sinking sensation threatening to drag you down when you walk with him through the market. Coarse and gritty, scratching your skin as you fall asleep in his arms. Piling so high it chokes you, the cursed inevitability of it all.
Another loop of wool around teeth. Tension taut and held firm. The muscles of your arms burn with effort, left foot tingling uncomfortably from sitting too long with little movement. Cosa’s awake and thriving in the warm weather, echoes of voices drifting in with the breeze, but you’ve never felt more alone. A feeling you dread becoming intimately familiar with sooner or later.
Later, you pray selfishly, desperately, achingly to the Fates. Make it later.
So long as Acacius breathes he will always walk two paths—the path of a general and the path of a husband. And it’s a priority of yours–a requirement as his wife–to find a way to be okay when those paths split and you’re truly left all alone. You must then nurture the tiniest flame of hope one step, one trial, one lonely night at a time. Burning fiercely until every last shadow of doubt is purged from your mind, and the only thing that remains is the steadfast belief he’ll return to your side.
Then you must prepare yourself to do it all over again and again and again…too incapable of challenging the Emperors’ insatiable greed, too mortal to stop the sands of time.
You roll your shoulders once finished, scrutinizing the piece for errors. Later you’ll detach the palla from the loom to cut and tie off the loose end-threads of dangling wool, and later still you’ll take it to the fuller to be washed then to the dyer to be colored. You wonder if Acacius will like the shade of golden yellow you have in mind. If he’ll even be in Cosa to see the finished product or a thousand miles away in the heat of battle. A tremor racks your spine at the thought.
But then the front door opens with a quiet groan, and the cheerfully hummed notes of Acacius’ favorite song float through the house. You smile, heartbeat settling into its natural rhythm with the knowledge he’s here with you. The war has not stolen him away just yet.
“Come, my leaena,” he calls out, and you can hear the grin in his voice without having to see it. “It’s a beautiful day. Should we spend it by the coast?”
There’s an urge to close your eyes, to sink into this moment for all its worth, but sand is rising around your ankles. A reminder of all temporary things.
Your legs can’t move fast enough, drawn to your husband’s side.
Just a little bit longer. Another hour, another day.
You reach for Acacius’ hand, tangling them together, pulling him closer. Always closer.
Another call of my name.
“Let’s not waste a single second.”

self growth pick a pile tarot reading
˚。☁️𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 .˚⊹₊ 🐇
During times like these where things move too fast and everything feels overly chaotic, it becomes clear that we all need our time to rest and to enjoy ourselves in the company of others. Loneliness is usually enjoyable when it's a choice, but sometimes it might not be the case. This reading is meant as encouragement for you to value what you bring to others and know what could be given to you. I understand how hard it is sometimes to have the time and energy to put into socializing, but hopefully there's something in here that makes you glad you put the effort on it.

KING OF WANDS
I think this card is really calling you out for not trusting your journey to prosperity. It seems to me that you doubt yourself due to not being traditionally successful or not having an easy to see abundance in your life. You are not entirely sure on why people rely on you so much, or what it is that they are drawn to. The warmth and the comfort others make you feel, the safety and the contempt, and the inspiration they give you, is a reflection of what you are naturally putting out in the word. It might not be intentional from you, but plenty of people are impressed by your virtues. Your creativity and your motivation are pretty contagious, people are drawn to you because your energy attracts abundance beyond material gains. A passionate individual like you, shines the most when it's possible to be mindful of others’ needs and expectations without making them the main reason why you are what you are. People look up to you in the same way you look up to them, so be careful when putting someone or something on a pedestal, idealization takes too much away from the humane beauty of individuals and their creations. Respect comes before admiration.

TEN OF DISKS
This is a really nice “sharing is caring” type of vibe. Generosity and solidarity are really important values to look for in any space. You are naturally altruistic and you want everyone to feel as comfortable and cared for as you feel. It's key that you can enjoy belonging to places where there's a sense of order that's not oppressive, but instead feels natural and coherent to preserve balance and unity. You need to be surrounded by people who share similar ambitions, values, ideals and short term objectives with you, as this is how you form the deepest connections and how you find confidence to build a life filled with contempt. Don't be afraid to ask for help, even if you are usually the one helping out others. It's very likely you are underestimating how equally altruistic and caring others are willing to be with you. And also, don't fall for unhealthy competitive behaviors affecting your energy. Everyone has their own merit, and nobody that's worth your time will try to force you into hierarchical dynamics. Embrace equity and cherish it as a source of power, this is the best way to ensure you and your loved ones are capable of experiencing success and fulfillment without it being overly demanding in a negative way.
૮꒰ • 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 •꒱ა ♡
STRENGTH
At this point in time it is necessary for you to surround yourself with people who understand your struggles and are willing to stand with you whenever you are facing adversities. Empathy and understanding are always valued, but you are in need of places where you can feel supported beyond emotional matters, you also need to nurture your ability to take action and grow alongside individuals wanting to better themselves. You might feel misunderstood from time to time, maybe your journey towards peace of mind and contempt being underestimated. I promise you there are places and people who share your struggles and also share your objectives, and there's also people who can comprehend the depths of your process. There's nothing wrong with wanting or needing support outside the spaces you already belong to as long as you value the effort from those who don't quite get it yet. Sometimes shared experiences are key for developing connections that feel nurturing, and sometimes they are not. I think it would be really positive for you to share your development process in places where everyone is on the same page or close enough. You have a lot to learn, but also a lot to teach.

Hey, I was wondering if you had any starter tips for digital art? I'm a traditional artist and have been for years, but I was recently given a tablet and clip studio. I am having SUCH a hard time getting anything to look right: shaky lines, flat/too soft pieces, just an absolute childish mess every single time. I see all these gorgeous digital pieces and have NO IDEA how to get there.
Heya!
So, it's been a very very long time since I transitioned from traditional to digital art, but I DID do proper traditional for a few years; we're talking ink pens, color pencils, markers, watercolor, fancy papers, the works. I did some acrylic painting too but only monochrome (and before anyone asks, these works no longer exist so I can't share them) all that to say that I do have some experience with the former and definitely felt the learning curve when I changed to a tablet.
To get the unhelpful advice out of the way first: It's a different and unfamiliar medium, and there is probably nothing significant that you're "missing" about it except time and exploration. There are pillars to digital art just like there are in traditional art, but when it comes to personal process everyone has their quirks and habits - you gotta mess around and find what works for you. I suggest looking up tutorials and speedpaints on youtube even if you know all the basics or if the style you see doesn't appeal to you; just watching how others do their thing might help you figuring out how you would like to do yours!
Now, for the more practical advice:
-I don't know what kind of tablet you got, but assuming it's a non display, that's an extra hurdle you have to get over in developing the eye-hand coordination necessary to use it. This feels very alien at first but it shouldn't take longer than a few weeks to feel completely natural.
-On that note, if there is a significant size discrepancy between the tablet and the screen you are looking at, that might mess you up. Try adjusting the size of the CSP window so it fits the size of the actual drawing surface you are using more closely.
-Every drawing tablet's pen has pressure settings that can be tweaked to your liking, I for one always make it a little softer than the default.
-BRUSH STABILIZATION! That's a setting every individual brush (and almost every tool, I believe) on CSP has. It does as advertised: stabilizes your brush strokes. A lot of people like this set between 8-20 depending on the brush, and it can make a huge difference to the way you draw.
It is usually always visible in the tool properties, but if not, you can toggle it on through the "sub tool details" menu by clicking the little wrench symbol on the bottom right.
Hopefully this has been helpful at all. Good luck!

Why Me?
•🤎🐺🪵🍂🌑•
Summary: Bella and Y/n are twins but when Bella and Renee moved away you stayed with Charlie always growing closer with the people around La push, but when Bella comes back it’s like everything is flipped around, Bella becomes distant obsessed with the cullens, you find solace with the guys at the beach but things change after the first year and suddenly you’re all alone, will anyone come back, will Paul your best friend, your forever crush come save you from depression
Pairing: Paul Lahote x f!reader
Warnings: Depression, Rosalie, suicidal thoughts
•Masterlist•
It was a simple life in forks but I loved it this is where I’m meant to be, I can’t explain it but it calls to me, the rainy weather, the cool breeze, the calm beach at La push, even my group of friends made my life feel complete
Plus I had dad or as Bella called him, Charlie, after mom and Bella left when I was only 4 it was usually just the two of us, suppers out at the cafe or cozy nights at Jacob’s as they watched the game, I kept him a float after the devastating heart break even thought I was young, mom tried to take me with them the night everything happened but I held on to dad screaming for him to keep me, and here we are today just me and him it was perfect everything was exactly how it should be, then we got the call Bella was moving back I was nervous at first I haven’t seen her since she stopped visiting years ago
“I’ll be back later, be safe and if you go out leave a note okay sweetie?” Dad stated as he picked up the keys to his police cruiser
“Okay dad! Drive safe” we shared a hug before he left leaving me alone and anytime I was free I’d either walk through the forest behind my house or hang out at the beach with Paul or Jacob
I pulled on a coat and hiking boots heading to the over grown trees lining the backyard, the weather is not too cold but it’s still over cast, the trees are lined with a thick moss the ground littered with pine cones and varying animals tracks
Sometimes I’d find Paul trying to blow off steam out here so hopefully I’ll come across him today needing my best friend right now with all the stress I’ve been feeling about Bella’s return
After a bit more walking I heard groaning as I approached the cliff we sometimes would hang out on, I rounded a tree and saw Paul sitting there huffing and puffing, he’s always had anger issues growing up but I was always there for him and for some reason I was the only one to calm him down
Silently I sat next to him laying my head on his shoulder his arm instinctly wrapping around my waist quickly finding comfort in each others company
“Remember when we were nine and you were so angry that Jacob took my ice cream, you pushed him into a puddle and got me a new ice cream and I had to keep you calm away from Jake the rest of my party” I stated laughing remember how cute he was and that’s the day my crush on him started which grew over the years but I’d never tell him that, I can’t risk what I have with him
He sighed squeezing my hip his breathing calming down
“I couldn’t help it you were so excited all day for your ice cream and that look in your face when he took it mad me so mad, you know I hate seeing you upset”
“Don’t get soft on me Lahote” he huffed out a laugh
“What’s wrong Paul? Anything I can do to help?” I asked finally looking up at him
He looked hesitant his eyes looking anywhere but me, I drew my hand through his long beautiful black hair trying to ease his worries
“Just a lot lately, things with the older tribe members don’t worry about it, how about you Bella’s coming today you still nervous?”
“Yeah what if we’re not like how we were as kids, what if she doesn’t like me anymore I mean I know I can be a burden sometimes but I just want my sister”
“Hey what did I tell you about talking about yourself like that, she’s gonna love you and you’re not a burden why do you think the guys and everyone around you loves you?”
Sometimes when he’d get sweet talking like this it only made me love him more, feeling the blush spread across my cheeks I pushed his arm playfully trying to hide my feelings
“You’ll always be here for me right Paul, even when we both have stuff going on you’ll be here?” My hands fiddling together
“Always”
It’s been a week since Bella’s moved back and it’s been nice, we reconnected and talked before bed most nights just catching up on everything, and it was nice to have a friend at school now, I never really had friend at the forks school, I tried but no one ever bothered, plus all my friends down at La push is better than anyone here
Sitting at my usual lunch table by the windows I glance over seeing Bella with her whole new table of friends, she said she’d sit with me if it bothered me to be alone but I didn’t want to get in the way of her making new friends plus I saw how she’d rather be with them it was the perfect spot to look at the cullens, who she’d make goggly eyes at every lunch
But the day dragged on as usual but when that final bell rang I was free, I ran out the door heading straight to where Paul usually parked to pick me up but he wasn’t there which was strange he was never late
“Hey y/n do you need a ride?” Bella called from a few spots down waiting at her truck
“Oh ummm no I should be fine maybe he’s just running late” I waved her off just hoping he was okay
I sat on the stairs watching as the cars emptied the parking lot one by one till there was no one but me and the setting sun
I sighed realizing he wasn’t coming so I started walking home, once I got through the door I dialed Paul on the house phone my heart beating anxiously
The tones rang one after another but no answer so I called Jacob instead and of course he answered immediately
“Hello Black residence” his chipper voice always made me smile he was such a sweet guy
“Hi Jake it’s y/n Paul didn’t pick me up today and I was wondering do you know if he’s okay?”
“Oh no I haven’t heard…..” I heard a mumbled voice behind him then the voice changed
“Who is this?” And I recognized that voice it was Sam Uley
“Hey Sam it’s me y/n swan! Ummm sorry if I interrupted something I was just calling worried about Paul, have you seen him around?”
“Oh he’s gonna be under the weather for a while he’s caught a stomach bug, we don’t wanna risk you getting sick too”
“Can I visit just to drop off soup or something?” My heart ached knowing what he’d say
“I’m sorry honey not yet, it’ll be awhile just give him time”
“But……but he’s my best friend” my voice wavered haven’t never being apart from him for a long period of time there was this pull to him I always felt so being apart felt…….wrong
“Just give it time honey, I’ve gotta go, goodnight” and with that he hung up the phone felt heavy in my hand
I’ve seen Paul every day since he got his licence, he’s a year older so when he got it he promised to pick me up everyday to make sure I was safe, Bella can drive me now but it’s not the same after a long day I’d get in his truck and cuddle up to his side and drive down to the beach and relax
“Sweetie why are you crying?” Dad broke me out of my thoughts as he hung up the phone
“Oh it’s nothing just….pauls sick I’m just worried”
“That kid is strong he’ll be just fine” he smiled patting my shoulder before he got a soda from the fridge
The days dragged on and I thought he’d atleast pick up the phone when I called or even call me but nothing, not a word and now a month has gone by I thought I’d have Bella but she quickly became all involved with Edward Cullen, the older member of the tribe weren’t quite fond of their family they told me stories but I thought it was all just legends never thinking too much about them
So now without Bella and Paul I was alone, my world felt flipped upside down, everything use tk be perfect but now I felt ripped of who I was, I fell hollow, drained, the all crushing depression, I can’t sleep evident by the dark circles under my eyes, I can barely eat shown by the hollows covering my body and the clothes that hung on my body, I felt like I’m dying, I’m fading
I’ve never been through a break up but this can’t be how it feels this has to be something different, something more painful
School was like hell, even worse than before, Bella convinced me some days to sit with her and the cullens and Alice was always trying to cheer me up but nothing was ever permanent
I picked at my rice as Emmett bragged about how he beat Edward in a baseball game
“Still not feeling well?” Jasper asked next to me, the first time I’ve ever heard him speak
“I think somethings wrong with me, I think I’m dying” everyone stopped what they were talking about and eyes were on me but I didn’t care anymore
“Why would you say that y/n?” Alice spoke
I sighed excusing myself from the table walking away, they couldn’t understand but maybe the elders could, I called dad and he said he’d be at the school to pick me up seeing as work was going slow
A few minutes later the cruiser pulled up and I got in the front seat
“Sick again?” He asked worry written all over his face
I’ve been calling him to pick me up from school a lot, either from spells of nausea throwing up or just the overwhelming depression
“Can you take me to Emily’s?” She was like a aunt to me always so sweet and that’s what I needed right now
“Of course sweetie” the drive was silent until we pulled into the gravel drive way seeing Sam and Emily step out
“Try and relax okay, I’ll pick you up whenever you’d like just call” I managed a smile and got out seeing him drive away
I walked up the porch steps straight into Emily’s arms
“Oh honey what’s happened we haven’t seen you in so long” she said stepping back taking in my clearly broken and sick appearance, the baggy brown hoodie that use to fit relative tight and some ratty sweat pants, my hair pulled into two messy braids
“Somethings wrong Emily, I didn’t know who else to ask” finally letting the tears stream down my face, she squeezed my hands giving Sam a desperate look as she led me inside
I sat on the couch as she dropped a fluffy blanket over my legs telling Sam to make me a hot chocolate
“What’re you feeling hun? How did all this start” her voice always soothed me
“I can’t eat or sleep, I can’t feel it’s like I’m hollow inside and it hurts, not just emotionally I physically get sick all the time, dad brought me to the doctors and they say nothing is medically wrong” Sam placed the drink on the table infront of me and sat next to Emily on the couch across from me
“When did this all start?” He asked
“The day Paul left me, I know it sounds crazy but…….its likes a piece of me died when he stopped coming around” they looked at eachother with knowing looks
“You’re not crazy”
“Then what? Do you know what’s wrong with me?” I ask almost pleading
“I might, how about you and Emily catch up and rest, I’ll be back soon” and with that he left leaving me confused
The sun started setting and I didn’t want to bother Emily more that needed
“I think I’m gonna head home, thanks for having me today” I said pulling on my coat at the door
“Do you want me to call Charlie it’s a long walk hun”
“Oh no I’m…..I need some air I’ll be fine”
“Okay but be safe and call me when you get home so I know everything okay?”
“Okay Em” I faked a smile and left feeling the cool breeze hit me, but I lied theres no going home this time, I’m going to where I last had him, the cliffs
The walk was long and cold but when I finally made it the moon was shining bright over head, dropping to my knees I cried and cried until there was no more tears left
What was the point anymore he’s never coming back so this pain will never go away I feel like I’m fading away anyways
Standing up I neared the cliff edge the sea breeze blowing up from far below
“Maybe in another life I’ll find you Paul” then a quick breeze whooshed past my body opening my eyes I wasn’t at the cliff anymore but in the deep forest
Emmett Cullen right infront of me, confused and upset I step away crossing my arms over my chest
“Emmett why would you stop me, what’re you even doing here” I sigh wanting to just scream
“What the hell were you thinking, why would you try to kill yourself what about Bella what about Charlie?”
“It hurts so much Emmett can you just make it go away, I wanna be okay again”
“This isn’t suppose to happen to you, you’re suppose to be Bella’s sweet shy sister” he sighs pulling me into a tight cold hug, nothing like how it felt with Paul
“Not anymore Em”
“Do you wanna come over I can make you anything you want and I can make a cozy spot for you infront of the fire place”
“Oh I couldn’t impose like that”
“If Bella’s family now so are you” before I could agree a growl rumbled through the trees
Turning a grey wolf the size of a mini van emerged from the trees its eyes piercing at Emmett
“Emmett what do we do?” I ask scared gripping his arm
“Calm down you’ll be okay just trust me okay”
“O…okay” and the next second he was gone in the blink of an eye
He left me, I turn back to the wolf that no longer growled but was whining, getting closer it laid down infront of me nudging my leg with its snout, suddenly the fear dissapeared
I lean down and cautiously rubbed my hand through its soft fur hearing it grumble, sitting in front of it it moved forward laying its head across my lap completely covering it
“You’re quite beautiful, like a gentle giant” rubbing its fur helped sooth me bringing me back to reality of what I almost did tonight
“I can’t believe I almost ended it all tonight, he’ll come back to me soon right? I’ll be happy again someday won’t I?”
I licked at my hand whining
“He promised he wouldn’t leave me, he always said he’d protect me and he always made me happy I don’t know what to do without him”
The wolf got up motioning to get on it back and for some reason I didn’t think twice about it, hopping on I held onto its next as it made its way down the path back the way I came
Right back to Emily’s house
More parts coming soon!!

(Pt. III) Friends to Lovers HCs w/Homicipher x GN!Reader
Tags: Platonic + Romantic HCs, Friends to Lovers trope for basically every LI, Likely OOC for some LIs*, Mini Scenarios (so HCs are kinda plot-driven), *Multi-Part Series, entirely SFW
Also, changing tenses in some cases + not proofread again... sorry!
*Some of the LIs are likely written OOC (Out Of Character) mainly due to a lack of substantial in-game appearances (at least in my opinion!).
*Split into multiple parts because I’ve come to realize that these HCs are muuucccchhh too long 😅 BUT!! I’m too lazy to shorten them sooo… YEAH lol
Part I (Big 🙆♂️)
Part II (Mr. Chopped 🪓)
Part III (Mr. Crawling 👣)
$$$
Mr. Crawling
This man is in love with you.
Lowkey could stop right there.
Well, anyway…
Mr. Crawling is a GREAT friend, actually.
Like he’s the kind of buddy that’s —first of all —down for whatever.
You said you tryna go walk through an unfamiliar part of the Apartments to try and find a mysterious elevator?
Well…
YEAH SURE HE’LL TAG ALONG
I MEAN… WHY THE HELL NOT, Y’KNOW??
“Me know place here,” He’ll say. More or less: I know this place!
And he’s so damn chipper about it, too!
He’s just an overall helpful guy.
He seems to have an intrinsic protective streak in him, too.
Which is interesting, ‘cause it’s like…
While it’s obvious he’s been in the Apartments for a long time, it’s clear that he hasn’t completely lost his sense of humanity.
I mean, trust —it’s definitely worn in some ways.
Like, he eats people bruh.
Trust, his sense of humanity is def gone in some ways...
But!! At least he's not as violent as the other ghosts can be!!
Like, generally speaking, you’ll find that he’s a pretty admirable dude.
He doesn’t hurt other entities for the pure sake of hurting them.
Defense, and alternatively —for food or other resources like clothes or tools.
Those would probably be the only reasons Mr. Crawling would ever just… attack someone, especially unprovoked (unprovoked, but not necessarily without reason).
That being said, he’s a social butterfly!!
He’s literally a professional yapper in every sense of the word.
Like… he could start a podcast LMAO
Podcast Bro!Mr. Crawling…
Anywho, he’s genuinely a people person and he likes being in good company.
Whether it’s you, Mr. Silvair, Mr. Chopped, Mr. Stitch(?), the Nurse, Mr. Wheelchair, the Hairdresser, etc…
He’s genuinely the type who could talk to literally anyone about anything for any amount of time.
If you’re a yapper too, this’ll probably be fun for you!
And hell, you may very well have met your match, LOL.
If you’re more introverted or quiet —no matter.
Mr. Crawling, being the professional he is, knows how to fill up any awkward silences with banter.
He doesn’t judge you at all on the basis of how you react to his yapping. Truly.
At the end of the day, he just enjoys sharing your company and getting to hear your voice, as little or as often as that occurs.
Hopefully, you don’t find his constant need for company annoying.
… Do you find him annoying?
At some point, Mr. Crawling begins to realize his feelings for you have changed…
In the case you accept him as a partner, he’s absolutely OVERJOYED.
Not only have you promised to indefinitely keep his company, but you also accepted him as your better half!
“You enjoy me?” He’ll ask, pulling himself over your curled-up form beneath the thin white sheets of the hospital bed.
“Me enjoy you,” you’ll say. You might even pet his head a few times, and he’ll giggle maniacally before dropping his head into your neck.
As Mr. Crawling’s fondness for you intensifies, so does his protective streak.
This guy turns into Papa Bear when it comes down to protecting his better half.
What Megan thee Stallion said??
“Three things I don’t play about: myself, my money, or my man!”
That, but more like: “... my friends, or my partner!”
Something like that, LOL.
Mr. Crawling’s sweethearted, bubbly, outgoing, protective, and quite affectionate. Intimacy is a language he speaks as fluently as his otherworldly one.
As we know, he’s very much the “high-maintenance” type.
He’s just super affectionate overall —and Mr. Crawling just wants to know that you’re always on the same page!
Tell him you love him.
Tell him how fun it was exploring the same old dreary halls with him. Tell him how relieved you felt when he swooped in to shield you from danger, even though you could handle yourself just fine. Run your fingers through his hair and massage the nape of his neck as you tell him how much you’ve come to enjoy —and maybe even crave —his company.
And when you’re done…
Tell him you love him. Yes, again. Again and again and again and again and again…
He could never get enough. Truly.
He could never get enough of you.
With a boyfriend like Mr. Crawling, you’ll never have to fear a lack of comfort, protection, friendship, or intimacy…
Because he’s constantly giving it to you.
You don’t even need to ask for any kind of intimacy —again, he’s giving it to you anyway.
And whether you’d like to shack up in a nearby spare room beside Mr. Silvair and Mr. Chopped’s loungeroom (of the sort) or if you take him with you to the surface world…
It makes no real difference in the way Mr. Crawling clings to you.
All he knows is so long as you’re both finding yourselves tangled together beneath the sheets each night, all is right in the world!
Mr. Crawling just wants to spend his evenings at home, and if home is where the heart is, then…
Well, you know how that goes!

"Plenty of them but they're not as fun as they look, don't let them fool you. The bees are definitely the way better option, huge improvement." he confirmed. Plus the view was pretty nice too, and not just the flowers being tended to by the little drones either. The glider rose up and took off as easily as it had the first time and Peter held on again as he watched New York, or at least this neighborhood of it, go past them. He waited for the call to be made but the lack of answer wasn't that much of a surprise to him. Less because of the fact that Harry was calling in the first place, and more the fact that there was still tons of sand all over the downtown area. He could only imagine the kind of work needing done by first responders.
If it was his New York, then Peter knew for a fact he'd be around the same areay trying to help out. Get things cleared out, check on people, keep an eye on the surrounding area for any opportunistic types. Extra damage control, in a sense.
"I can swing around town and see if that gets attention?" he offered, as the first thing that came to mind because a mystery third person swinging around town was bound to draw attention. From a lot of people, if they were paying attention. Peter was trying to think of a second plan when he heard Harry answer the call instead, offering instead another squeeze to his hand as the station came into view. It was a short conversation from what he could overhear, and by time the glider settled and they were visible, he was carefully stepping down onto the roof. Still holding Harry's hand and relieved that there was an agreement to meet. They had a few minutes then until the other showed up, assuming he wasn't finishing up with something that could take more time than that.
Peter looked over at Harry and gave him a small smile, "...I still liked the breaking and entering date. We should do it again sometime, hopefully without the extreme flammability risk but it was still pretty nice."
|| @inhcritance ||
"Good point." Harry conceded, a shade too nervous to be entirely amused but nevertheless admitting it. "Not that it isn't still an option." He considered, mostly joking, as he climbed onto the Glider. And then, "But I guess you've crashed your fair share of those sketchy meetings?"
Because he could imagine the situation fair too well... considering he'd been part of a setup or two, in his days as the Goblin. Particularly in order to ambush one vigilante, one he was about to meet anyway now.
He forced himself to breathe, and keep the Glider steady as Peter climbed onto it, to help as much as he could while both were invisible.
"But I'd still prefer a sketchy set up to sand." He admitted, feeling a small, invisible smile at Peter's reassurance, then moving his own arm around Peter too for support. "And bees are even better. So, let's go?"
It would not be a long journey. Not even as Harry called his universe's Peter, and found he didn't have signal, and found that as anticlimactic as it could be, as he told Peter that.
"We might have to get his attention another way." He considered, as the Research Station came into view... and then Peter called him back.
It was an unsteady, cautious tone, even despite the way he could recognize Spider-Man's bravado. A mention that it was a busy day, and yet...
"I know." Harry sighed. "But I wouldn't call you if it wasn't important." He told him. Serious, steady, trying not to ask for reassurance from the Peter next to him as they quietly landed on the rooftop of the Research Station, careful not to fly into any of the bee drones.
"I've come across something you really should know, about this cult they call the Flame, and I'd rather tell you in person." He settled for. And then, "There's people in danger."
And he knew that sounded a bit like a set up, and yet...
"I'm waiting for you at one of the Research Stations, I'll send you which one." He added. An offer, an olive branch of sorts, and a clear relief when he heard Peter's 'Okay' across the line.
And then, as he disconnected the cloaking and the Bee Drones turned towards them with a faintly confused expression, two of them approaching them to investigate... it was all a matter of waiting.
"It's done." He sighed, just a little. "He's on his way."

hello can you do n. 30. "you own my heart" with Dino, but with a context..? (if you want) so the reader is a singer but also a director/producer and she directed Dino's mv video/or movie and they spent a lot of time together and got feelings for each other. thanks
of course i can :) thank you of course for requesting, hopefully you will like it! 💜
fluff prompt: 'you own my heart.'
dino doesn't get attached. there are so many people that come and go with the course of his job, it makes no sense to open up your heart for someone who's going to leave anyways. throughout the years dino worked out the wholy technique of talking a lot without really saying anything, of being friendly and polite without letting someone come close, of holding people at the distance without them feeling/knowing it. dino, not humbly, thinks he's amazing at it. or he was amazing at it until you came along.
'last day on set!' someone cheers. 'finally this project is on its finish line!'
normally he'd be happy too. he loves his job, he does, but he is usually immensely satisfied when they can wrap up any project. not this time though. he glances at the back, his eyes immediately find your lonely figure as you go over the script again and again. he's trying to be subtle with his looking, of course; there are so many eyes on him, he doesn't want to start any stupid rumors that can hurt any of you. but he also can't stop looking, because this is the last day of him seeing you. after today you will leave on another project with another people and dino will just... stay. with his stupid heart that somehow decided to break all rules and fall into you. he will stay all alone, because you will leave without looking back, just like others before you did. dino wonders if he's brave enough to break the cycle.
'dino, on the position, we're starting!'
last days are always emotional and they always end up in some cozy dinner place, with drinks being shared along with hugs and teary words. dino's been watching you like a hawk this whole time, catching your eyes more and more until you not subtly point to the balcony. his heart is beating too fast for it to be normal, when he pushes the door and lets warm sea breeze welcome him. you're staring at him with a small smile, looking all flushed and pretty. 'dino, hi. sorry for pulling you out like this, but i think we need to say proper goodbye to each other without the whole crowd, you know?'
he knows. he also knows that he doesn't want to say goodbye to you, not now, not ever if he can help it. still, he's a professional, so he answers with: 'yeah, i thought so too. this project, making it with you was great, honestly. i'm very thankful.'
he's sincere and you can feel it, he knows. your smile grows wider and your cheeks if possible grow even pinkier and oh, he can't stop himself now. dino gives you compliment after compliment, watches with adoration as you start refusing them, shaking your head, laughing happily. god, he can't lose this, he can't lose you.
'you own my heart,' he blurts out, taking your hand in his. you freeze, blinking at him with wide eyes, but your hand trembles his, when you squeeze it. this has to mean something, right?
'oh, dino,' you let out quietly, tears sparkling in your eyes. 'i-'
'this does not have to be a goodbye,' he says, hoping he's conveying his message clearly. 'i don't want it to be a goodbye. not for me and you.'
you take a deep breath and when you exhale, your gaze is sharp and your hand is no longer trembling. 'okay.'
'okay?' dino asks, unsure.
you laugh a little, nodding. 'okay. i also don't want this to be a goodbye.'
dino doesn't kiss you because everyone would be able to see. he does, however, pull you into a hug far more intimate than the ones he gave others and presses his lips into your ear like a promise: 'not a goodbye, then. it's a 'see you soon'. very soon.'
a/n: request your own here! <3 - nini

Agatha All Along deep dive: episode 1 part 3
(Wandavision entries: [1][2][3])
(AAA entries: ep1 [1][2][3][4] ep2 [1][2])
so babe, hear me out. we could adopt him. just spitballing here (agatha, probably)
bwahhaha fantasy!billy and his death stare, meanwhile real billy is such a polite baby
if you look closely you can tell Joe Locke is fighting for his life holding down laughter in a lot of his scenes with Katrhyn. he has nerves of steel, couldn't be me
(also, billy telling her she has neither the respect of her peers NOR a fulfilling home life? harsh, but fair.) (at least her wife is trying to fix the home life part)
honey, don't go around kicking grumpy little twinks now! perfectly in character. despite her chaotic exterior, rio is a very lawful person. she is literally the laws of nature!
the Ballad plays faintly in the background when Billy mentions the Road
I love when good actors have to pretend to be bad actors. and I also find it interesting that Agatha cast herself as a good guy. does it make her feel bette? is she telling herself that all the atrocities were justified, that it was only survival instinct? (like rio said, she's only lying to herself)
I had to look up the painting, it's Macbeth meeting the three witches (thank you Reddit!) So Macbeth (Agatha) and Banquo (Billy) meeting Lilia, Jen and Alice?
how did I miss Billy sitting on the chair Rio was just on?! amazing lens choices here too
Wanda's death makes her cry again. I honestly, honestly believe she feels awful about what she did to her. but guilt will never be enough to redeem her - especially because she tends to run away from it.
Wanda's magic was so strong that it took at least four things to undo the spell: Wanda dying, Rio's intervention, Billy's counterspell, and Agatha's willpower. It was a group effort, Agatha could have never done it alone. And despite her scorched earth tactics, there are still two people in her life, rio and billy, willing to help out in her hour of need
it's naughty tiiiime
I still really love the curls
can I say iconique?
it's like someone's about to die at the end of this
bwahahahahaah and oh my GAWD all the case files and boxes, where did she GET that stuff, did she rob a precint, did she make them with the power of arts and crafts
you know what I think? being naked here is a power move. she is being very over the top because she's really uncomfortable, she just woke up and she's in those moments when you stop dreaming and have to relearn what's real and what isn't. she is someone used to calculate and scheme and micromanage every aspect of her life and she is not in control right now. what does Agatha do to reclaim control? she puts on a show. to her, being under the spell was way more like being naked, her insecurities and emotions and past were out in the open for everyone to see. being physically naked could never be nearly as distressing, and this is a nakedness she chose, because it tells people nothing about herself, nothing of what she wants to keep secret and protected. she's got the upper hand, not the other way round
you are all cowards and sheep for not saying Wanda's name, says the lady who would rather hide under a dozen magic layers than face her problems
that is so nice that they brought her groceries actually??? and lol those are the flowers in Agatha's crime scene pictures
that little girl is having a great time
FUCK CLOTHES BUT FUCK THESE CLOTHES SPECIFICALLY!!!!
(wait am I allowed to post butt cheeks? what are the rules right now?)
she turns quiet and emo as soon as she's alone
why doesn't she just - kiss the wiwwle bunny. bury her nose in that big fluffly head. even villains need a cuddle sometimes.
sure, bring señor scratchy. so menacing. that'll show them.
poor boy. trapped in a closet with ralph's bluray collection
aaand I really want to get to the next scene so I'll start on it right away, hopefully it'll be ready later tonight
go to part 4

Good day,
I recently read your thoughts on yan Geppie x underworld reader during the lockdown. I was wondering how he would react if reader hates him and blames him for abandoning them and the underwold, they furiously ask him why he as the silvermain guard and a landau not even try to provide aid for not only them but the children trapped in the underworld. A bonus would be if reader was a part of wildfire (maybe Natasha’s assistant) and had to witness how the fragmentum and the lockdown cause the suffering of the underworld.
this was a bit tough to answer because i was trying to figure out how i'd twist it into a yandere gepard context. anyway i've chosen to go with a "reader who wishes to hates him because he's a yan, but unfortunately has empathy and compassion" type for this request. hopefully it's what you were after!
it started out like it would with any other relationship. in fact, gepard got quite far with you before you realised his heart was twisted- something he had denied, and will continue to deny. the landau family doesn't entertain blatant lies.
while you tried to separate yourself from him, he tried to tighten the control he had over you, even when you said you were helping out a woman called natasha in the underworld. when he yelled at you to stop going there, when you broke free from his grasp and ran down there anyway, and when the lockdown fell into place, right before he could go in and retrieve you-
well, gepard thought it was well and truly over.
so imagine his surprise when you come marching out of the clinic on your own, fury splashed across your face.
serval and the trailblazer immediately separate themselves from him, slipping past you and into the clinic. he doesn’t get to greet you at all- you immediately start ripping into him instead. he supposes it’s a thrilling time for those that hate the silvermane guards.
“all that crap about wanting to protect belobog, and then you left the people down here to suffer!”
he wants to clarify that he didn’t actually get a choice in that regard. you’d slipped down to the underground before he could retrieve you; even if he were to shut it off, it wouldn’t be until you were back in his arms.
you don’t give him the opportunity to cut in.
“there are kids down here, gepard! you could’ve at least tried to send extra aid, or done something! what a joke!” your voice is beginning to get louder- and his blood goes cold when he hears you damn near yell your next line.
“what, is it punishment for running away, or something?!” people begin to stare, wide-eyed. no, he really can’t have you saying things like that. he’s trying to build a strong connection with the underworld, and he also doesn’t want to be tried for kidnapping crimes!
like, yeah, he did do that, technically, but it was for a good cause!
“you CHILDISH, LYING, SON OF A-”
a woman comes out of the building and puts her hand over your mouth, silencing you for him. thank qlipoth.
“sorry about that. they get very… passionate.” she mutters something in your ear, and you avert your eyes, suddenly looking very bashful.
“sorry, gepard…”
“it’s okay,” he answers, his eyes glued to you. “i’ll just have to do better.”
as for what better is… well. he’s sure he can figure something out that leaves both you and him happy. you’re passionate about children, are you? he’s happy to give you one.

"Well, GUN is a military based organization, so I suppose us being a stand alone operation is something that don't like, though I do agree. They should be more focus on working with us, and this makes it seem like they just want control." Belle was sure most people would agree this gave off the vibe that GUN didn't have the best priorities. Not to mention coming off as rather hostile with how armed they seem to be.
"Though I feel like if Eggman wanted he'd be attack us already since he was here, and I'm sure he is well aware of what is going on." Belle only met him for a moment, though Eggman seemed the type just to find this as entertainment. Watching two forces against him being at each other's throats, with the chance of fighting and only hurting themselves in the long run.
"Alright, I'll do my best to also lead everyone here. Good luck Lanolin, and here's hoping everything goes well." Belle couldn't say she was much of a leader, though would certainly try her best. It did help put the tinkerer's mind at ease that Sonic will be there too, and he does have a way of rallying people while also keeping it peaceful. The puppet would then continue on to the checkpoint.
===========================================================
"I believe they are still assessing the injured and if it is required for them to be moved off base. As for the President, Lanolin is returning back and shall be here in a moment so they may speak to her as Amy is busy with other matters." Blaze could sense Lanolin heading this way and was sure she'd be here in a matter of moments. "The aid for the fire is appreciated." The feline only knew it was limit to a certain are of the base, though that was it.
"As do I so you and your men can leave." Blaze would still make it clear their presence was unwanted and unneeded. The feline would connect back to Lanolin's mind. "Lanolin, before you arrive I do want to inform you I have mislead Lupus to think Amy is perfectly fine, just in case it was one of their soldiers who had attacked her." Hopefully that was a wise move in the long run.
===========================================================
The Mother Wisp would sign, which sounded like a soft hum. "💧︎♋︎♎︎●︎⍓︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ♓︎⬧︎ ♋︎ ♍︎□︎❍︎❍︎□︎■︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎♑︎ ✋︎📪︎ ♋︎■︎♎︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ □︎⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎ 💣︎□︎⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎🕯︎⬧︎ ♒︎♋︎❖︎♏︎ ■︎□︎⧫︎♓︎♍︎♏︎♎︎ ♋︎♍︎❒︎□︎⬧︎⬧︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ❍︎♋︎■︎⍓︎ ◻︎●︎♋︎■︎♏︎⧫︎⬧︎ ♋︎❍︎□︎■︎♑︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ⬧︎⧫︎♋︎❒︎⬧︎📬︎ 🕆︎⬧︎ ♋︎■︎♎︎ ♋︎ ⬧︎♏︎●︎♏︎♍︎⧫︎ ♐︎♏︎⬥︎ ⬧︎◻︎♏︎♍︎♓︎♏︎⬧︎ ●︎♓︎❖︎♏︎ ♓︎■︎ ⬧︎◆︎♍︎♒︎ ♒︎♋︎❒︎❍︎□︎■︎⍓︎📬︎" It was a sad truth, though one she didn't intend to hide from one of the children.
"✋︎🕯︎❍︎ ♋︎♐︎❒︎♋︎♓︎♎︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ♋︎■︎⬧︎⬥︎♏︎❒︎ ♓︎⬧︎■︎🕯︎⧫︎ ⬧︎♓︎❍︎◻︎●︎♏︎ ♍︎♒︎♓︎●︎♎︎📪︎ ⧫︎♒︎□︎◆︎♑︎♒︎ ♓︎■︎♋︎♍︎⧫︎♓︎□︎■︎ ♍︎♋︎■︎ ♎︎□︎ ♏︎❑︎◆︎♋︎●︎ ♓︎♐︎ ■︎□︎⧫︎ ♑︎❒︎♏︎♋︎⧫︎♏︎❒︎ ♎︎♋︎❍︎♋︎♑︎♏︎📬︎ ✋︎⧫︎ ♓︎⬧︎ ♋︎■︎ ♏︎⌧︎⧫︎❒︎♏︎❍︎♏︎●︎⍓︎ ♐︎♓︎■︎♏︎ ●︎♓︎■︎♏︎📪︎ ⬥︎♓︎⧫︎♒︎ ❍︎♋︎■︎⍓︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎♑︎⬧︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ♍︎□︎◆︎●︎♎︎ ♑︎□︎ ⬥︎❒︎□︎■︎♑︎📬︎ ✋︎ ♏︎■︎♍︎□︎◆︎❒︎♋︎♑︎♏︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ♋︎■︎♎︎ ♋︎●︎●︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ♍︎♒︎♓︎●︎♎︎❒︎♏︎■︎ ⧫︎□︎ ♐︎□︎●︎●︎□︎⬥︎ ⬥︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ♌︎♏︎●︎♓︎♏︎❖︎♏︎ ♓︎⬧︎ ❒︎♓︎♑︎♒︎⧫︎📬︎ 😐︎■︎□︎⬥︎ ■︎□︎■︎♏︎ □︎♐︎ ✋︎ ■︎□︎❒︎ ♋︎■︎⍓︎ □︎♐︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ □︎⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎ 💣︎□︎⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎⬧︎ ⬧︎♒︎♋︎●︎●︎ ⬧︎◆︎◻︎◻︎□︎❒︎⧫︎ ♋︎●︎●︎ □︎♐︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ♌︎♏︎⬧︎⧫︎ ⬥︎♏︎ ♍︎♋︎■︎📬︎"
Lanolin had crossed her arms and looked really lost in thought as she mulled over her next action. Amy would know what to do for sure, but she was out of action and she had to rely on herself. Anything that happened from here on in was her fault and, she'd have to live with those consequences. It was alot on her shoulders and, she was not the most experienced commander but she was making moves that she felt was prudent in the current situation.
" We are all on the same side, even if GUN doesn't seem to think so. We never signed up to fight other Mobians... or humans. Eggman has always been the primary enemy and i have to believe our people understand that to. No mater how angry i am at GUN ... we cant let ourselves get distracted from the real enemy... "
She saw all of this as one big distraction from the real threat. That being Eggman. because no matter how hard she thought about it if GUN and restoration came to blows it was just going to weaken there over all position. This would give Eggman an advantage in the coming fights.
" Go on an catch up with Sonic, i'm going back up stairs with Blaze. I can't let my temper get the better of me anymore. I need to be a leader right now and i can't do that from here. Belle... stay safe ok? "
Lanolin marched her way through the soldiers back up to the command center. Taking the Elevator up her hope was that she could resolve this with the president. He had to see reason but she already decided that if push came to shove. She'd back down... they couldn't fight this fight. Better to try and resolve it later then risk there people getting hurt or killed.
================================================
The doberman came up on the monitor after a moment as Blaze made that call. He gave a salute before stepping aside to reveal Lupus once more. The wolf looking as stoic as ever and ready to speak with Blaze, as hard to read as ever the GUN commander seemed poised to say something important.
"Greetings Princess, I have sent a group of fire suppression drones to help quell the fires in your facilities. Additionally i have medical officers on standby at the check points to aid your injured. Plus i have good news the President is ready to address Restoration directly... we are setting com drones as we speak so your people can hear what he has to say. It is my hope this will be over soon "
===============================================
Maggie looked up at the great Mother with respect and reverence. The small wisp was worried, but it was more then just Lanolin she worried about. The two sides were about to clash and yet neither was the real enemy. Both sides were enemies of Eggman and she hated the idea they would battle. She believed the Wisps should not participate in such a battle. It was fruitless and pointless and annoyed her to no end.

... Oh, they better fix this soon, or it's gonna be a VERY sad Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Seriously, tho....thing are BAD right now, and I have a few possibilities/predictions for Earth and Luanr and what could happen next...
Earth predictions
1. Earth is left numb by the dark lighting.
Much like how Monty lost all feelings in his right??? Arm after fighting The Stitchwraith Earth will now have that same problem but all over her body cause that lightning spread everywhere! Leaving her in a lot of pain and then feeling numb for who knows how long?! I think for Monty, it lasted five months? So, Earth will be like this for the next five months... fun.
2. Earth is corrupted by the negative star power!
Turuas and Rez have mentioned it is possible to become corrupted by negative star power, and if there was an awful lot of negative star power, there. We've seen what happens to things that get corrupted by dark star power. (Dazzle's old body, those dark star creatures, and Nexus)
Earth will slowly become corrupted by the negative star power floating in her systems and turn into a corrupted!Earth! The Astrals will try to kill Earth while Sun, Moon, Solar, Monty, and Lunar (and possibly Eclipse) will try to save Earth and find a way to uncorrupt her, and they will hopefully succeed in saving her.
3. Earth dies!
Yes, you read that right! Earth dies! Earth's body will succumb to the corruption and die. Earth will die, and Lunar, Monty, and the whole family will be absolutely destroyed. Lunar will feel like a monster, Sun will have lost the only other sibling who cared for him and the one who made him realize he's not a bad person and that he does matter, Monty will lose the love of his life and might become the destroyer of worlds like how Golden Freddy said he would if Monty didn't meet the right people, Solar and Moon will have lost the sister they just gained, and Eclipse will have lost his first friend... needless to say, this is the WORST outcome! Lunar would go into hiding, Eclipse, Solar, Moon (And maybe Monty if he doesn't fall into a deep depression) will hunt down Lunar with the Astrals while Sun falls back into his deep depression and this may lead to Dark Sun offering Sun some kinda deal but who knows. Lunar will either be pushed into the hands of Rez and Cetus or will deny them and go into hiding or fight against them like some kind of Rouge star!Lunar.
4. Earth will be fine in like a day or two.
So, remember how Monty said he would go and remake that small red box that F.C. has in his chest and use it to protect them from all the dark star power entities... well, that box can absorb negative star power, and he'll use it on Earth and instantly heal her. (Or the Astrals will purify Earth's body, and she will be fine)
But even though she'll be healed, mentally, she'll be scarred. She almost got killed by one brother, and now she almost got killed again by another one of her brothers. She would be DONE!
She tried to be nice, she tried to be friendly and do the right thing but here we are! She would either leave and stay with Monty forever and rarely visit them or Alternatively leave and go on vacation to get away from them all but her dad will probably come and kidnap her or convince her to come back with him cause she just got backstabbed again by another family member! Whether she'd go with him or tell him to get lost and get kidnapped I don't know? We'll have to see.
Lunar predictions
1. Lunar will go into hiding, i.e... skip town(leave this dimension)
Lunar having just injured the person who cared about him the most and helped him get back on the right track mentally in the very first episode of LAES, Lunar now being hunted by The Astrals, The Dark Astrals, having ruined his relationship with his sister and Gemini he will leave this dimension and go to Eclipse and Puppet's dimension and Lunar will be forced to confront his hatred on Eclipse and the two will probably fight for a bit before coming to some kinda of closure probably with Eclipse apologizing for all the abuse he put Lunar through and Lunar will finally be able to move on and accept what happen and be able to continue his positive training and hopefully make amens with everyone... (If Earth isn't dead)
2. Lunar will become a Dark Astral (reluctantly)
These powers were meant to help Lunar, and now they just hurt his sister! Lunar will be done with all this star power poo and Dark star power poo! But Rez will show up and convince Lunar he's already messed up so much and Earth and the others will probably never want to see him ever again and Lunar at his lowest will believe him and leave to become Dark!Lunar (Think Anikian Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine sort of deal) and it will take maybe months before Lunar sees them all again and he'll be (reluctantly) evil and will be all sad and bad until someone (Maybe Earth, Gemini, or Eclipse) will convince Lunar to come back to the side of light and Lunar will betray Rez and help take him and Cetus down!
3. Lunar will go into hiding... with Gemini!
Turuas is now coming to kill Lunar cause he will see Lunar as a threat (fair, sadly). Gemini will probably try to smooth things over, but Turuas won't listen, and Lunar and Turuas will fight, Turuas will try to kill Lunar, and right before he does Gemini will step in and save him. The two would go into hiding to avoid The Astrals and The Dark Astrals. Now, don't think Gemini will do this out of love they're doing this to save him. Any love for him is out the window! They're only doing this cause they want to save Lunar and try to understand why he did. Not cause they love him! That's out the window right now!
Lunar and Gemini will work together to figure things out and hopefully help Earth (if she's corrupted or dead, and they'll try to purify her or resurrect her.) And try to defeat Cetus, Rez and try to protect themselves (and maybe Earth) from the Astrals.
That's all I think could happen. Let me know what you all think/what you think will happen, but no matter what happens...
It's gonna be a very very sad Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.
Lunar and Earth's relationship may never be the same.
Kat, Davis, Reed, please... DO NOT KILL EARTH!
I WILL BE SO SAD IF YOU DO!
#sun and moon show#tsams#lunar and earth show#laes#laes earth#laes moon#laes turuas#laes gemini#laes astrals#laes rez#laes dark astrals#this is really bad!#Darth!Lunar#it's gonna be a sad thanksgiving and Christmas this year#will earth die?#will earth get corrupted?#will lunar go rouge?#will lunar go into finding?#will lunar turn evil? sort of?#this is gonna be a crazy arc!#I'm sad now#WHY?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Pre-Arcane S2 Act 2 Thoughts
With hours away until it drops, gonna list all my predictions & wishes. Hopefully, I get at least one or two right.
Ep 4, Obviously, a Jinx centered episode. But it's more so the effects of what Jinx did in Ep 3. The people of Zaun rallying behind her, wearing her colors & fighting back.
Jinx has been absent since the attack, probably watching after Vi and trying to figure out where she goes from here. How to finish herself off or something similar :(
It isn't until Sevika convinces her, especially finding out Isha got arrested & taken to Stillwater with the rest of her "followers". That Jinx finally takes up the role she's been given by Zaun, their hero.
Probably other parts of the episode, back n forth. How Cait is doing as Commander, the people of Piltover looking to her as guidance. Strict curfews, large number of enforcers & noxus soldiers patrolling. The once shiny Piltover looks empty of life and dreary. Muted, darker colors. Maybe at some points, Cait sees reason and slowly letting go of her anger/grief BUT Ambessa stops that and fuels Cait's vengeance again.
Leading to the mass arrest of Jinx's followers, probably calling Jinx a hero sent Cait over the edge a bit without Ambessa in her ear. Either way, Jinx comes and saves them. It's a whole big show! Which in the eyes of Piltover, a huge failure on Cait. Which probably shakes their trust in her, until Ambessa smooths it over. By declaring that an army of enforcers & noxus soldiers will march down into Zaun and finally bring it's people to justice. Maybe this is the start of Cait realizing she's wrong, Ambessa is using her, but it's too late.
Her mother & Vi's words haunt her now, at the choices she's made.
□□□
Ep 5, hmmm I wanna say a Vi centered episode. What she was doing in the timeskip. Underground fighting, her trauma & grief. Girl is going through it. Maybe we will see flashbacks to her time with Vander & her parents.
Honestly, don't know where this episode would go. Maybe more hints & build up of Viktor's cult in the background. Some Zaun people hating her for being an ex-Enforcer and her part in unleashing the Grey. I wanna say this is the episode where the Warwick/Vander fight happens. Perhaps this episode near the end lines up with Ep 4, timeline wise.
As in Vi, fighting for Zaun again. Going to help the breakout at Stillwater. Probably wanting to make it her final stance, her grave. But Singed unleashed Warwick/Vander at Stillwater. Vi goes to fight him, with help from Jinx later. OR Jinx was almost going to die going against Warwick/Vander and Vi jumps into the fight to save her/die doing what Vander told her, "protect/take care of Powder."
Basically Vi pouring out all her emotions into this fight. Flashbacks with "Remember Me" playing and Warwick/Vander seeing Vi's familiar fight style, Jinx's yells. He starts remembering, just the faces of his children. His own flashbacks with each kid, Vi being the last. Her child version overlapping who she is bow as an adult. Warwick/Vander letting out an anguish howl and trying to say Vi's name in a distorted voice.
Alternative thought, just struck me.
Ep 4, is about Jinx & Vi, combining what I wrote about each. I'm not about to rewrite this whole thing
Ep 5, being about Jayce/Ekko/Viktor/Mel. More so Mel & the Black Roses. Her journey in whatever maguc prison they put her into paralleling Jayce's own journey in the Hexcore/Arcane Time/Dimension Magic? Ekko, idk if he got separated from Jayce. Instead having his own journey in that Time Magic Fuckery with Heimerdinger.
Probably both groups seeing the danger of this Arcane corruption, one in the past, and one in the future.
Either way, all three groups break out. Mel goes to stop & get answers from her Mother. After learning everything she could from the Black Roses after defeating whoever was holding her. Awakening her own powers. Ekko going to save Zaun, and Jayce going to stop & save Viktor.
□□□
Ep 6, I feel like the episode will start with Viktor & his cult. Seeing how much it's grown during the time skip. Long haired Viktor, but while he should be happy. Idk maybe there is an unease brewing in Viktor, especially how weird his followers/hexcore Sky hallucination act. With tales of his miracles spreading, wouldn't be surprised if Ambessa tried making a deal with Viktor or something similar to have that magic on her side.
Viktor's cult has been in the background for Ep 4 & 5. So yeah, finally seeing what is going on with him. Probably eldritch horrors he can't comprehend and that disguise themselves as Sky, but can't or won't anyone. Since their influence & power is growing. Probably soon, they are going to do a ritual, maybe sacrifice of the followers to unleash something.
Viktor slowly realizing this. Adding in that with Ambessa's ruthless attacks on Zaun. Almost everyone has migrated to the lower levels where Viktor & his cult are. So when Ambessa attacks as we see in the trailer. Viktor & his followers are gonna be caught up in it.
Maybe Viktor & his followers will join the fight for Zaun, maybe the Hexcore/Void? Uses this opposite to do something? Honestly do not know, again all speculation.
Probably WRONG on everything here, but it was fun to theorize.
Lastly, quick things I want to happen in Act 2.
JINX & VIKTOR MEETING, they gotta at least have a conversation! Something something of Jinx commenting that Viktor isn't the only one who has hallucinations & hears voice. OR at least a long glance at each other
ISHA NOT DYING, I refuse to believe she's gonna die. Maybe almost dying, but Jinx saving her, thus how she lost her braids.
Slico hallucinations & voices being supportive
Jinx kicking Noxus soldiers ass especially with her own hextech/magic.
Mel having magic because she was touch/blessed by Kindred in the womb. Which unknown to her, is how she kept escaping death. Essentially, Mel is the lamb, fox, snd wolf. Death's champion.
Viktor & Singed meeting again.
Probably Maddie dying or her being horrified by her actions OR Maddie isn't horrified by her actions but CAIT IS
Steb, quitting the enforcers, starts a chain event of other enforcers quitting cause this is all going too far. Probably later, Cait asking him & others for help to stop Ambessa
Now to prepare myself to what an emotional mess I'll be in a few hours:

My Heart, My Ruin (Chapter 1/?)
Warning! implied marital rape at the end
25 ac Oldtown
Rhaellas pov
I’m sitting next to Mama resting my head on her belly feel the baby move around. Kepus is getting married to a lady named Ceryse Hightower. I keep looking up at the ceiling as I love the art up there.
“Darling it’s time to watch and pay attention, the bride is coming down the aisle.” Mama says as Papa helps her stand up before he reaches over to pick me up so I can watch.
“I still can’t believe Father agreed to this, he’s only ten and three, barely out of boyhood and now he’s getting wed off?” Papa says he’s been saying that a lot lately.
When I see the bride I gasp, her dress is so pretty. It's made out of white shiny smooth stuff, green butterflies on her shoulders, and she's wearing a gold tiara with bright green stones in it. I hope one day I look that pretty when I'm married. I look down at the dress I'm wearing and smile, it's dark purple just like Kepus's eyes, and it sparkled when I was in the sun.
“There is nothing we can do, it is their child, it is their choice.” Mama says hushing Rhaena who is in our Nursemaid's arms.
“She is ten years his senior, wouldn't her family want her with someone closer to her age?” Papa continues.
“Most likely, but he is a prince, what better match would they find?” Mama responds as she rubs her back, she does that a lot now that her belly is so big.
I look over at Kepus, he doesn't seem happy, aren't people supposed to be happy when getting married? That's what Mama and Papa say at least, so why does he seem sad?
Once the bride finally meets Kepus at the alter the Stepton starts warping ribbon around their hands.
“What is the ribbon for?” I whisper to Papa, or I at least try.
“It's symbolic, the ribbon is a way to show their union is strong, that they are now bound, tied together forever.” For some reason, I don't like the thought of Kepus being bound to someone, to her.
I grow curious again when they start chanting the same thing “Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger. I am his-her's, he-she is mine from this day until the end of my days.”
“Why are they saying the same things?”
Papa chuckles when Mama giggles at my curiosity, they always say I'm as curious as a cat.
“They are swearing before the gods that they are now bound, married.” Papa explains rubbing my back when I start to pout. He must not realize I don't like Kepus being married because he says this instead. “Shhh, you can stand on your own soon darling.”
Once they are announced husband and wife everyone claps and cheers loudly. It startles me and Rhaena causing Mama and Papa to try and calm us down as Rhaena screams and I start to cry.
“I told you bringing them to the wedding wasn't a good idea.” Mama says trying to get Rhaena to calm down.
“They were fine until it got too loud for their little ears, isn't that right darling.” Papa says as he kisses my head and rests my head on his shoulder covering my other ear with his hand.
Papa's hand are soft, not bumpy on the palms like Kepus, I want Kepus's hands to hold me, not Papa's.
Maegors pov
I know the Lords and Ladies are cheering, but all I can hear is Rhaella's sobs. Must be too loud, she never did like large crowds or loud noises, let alone the two combined. I think to myself trying to to scream at the crowd to shut up.
“Are you ready for the feast, husband?” My now wife, lady Ceryse Hightower asks with a smirk.
She is beautiful, I'll give her that, but there is no world where she could match the fire within me.
“I suppose.”
She doesn't seem to like my short responses, as she frowns but quickly hides it with a fake joyful smile.
As we walk out I catch sight of Rhaella, Aenys seems to be trying to calm her down. But she keeps shrugging off his touch, hopefully, she will enjoy the feast and festivities more than this worthless wedding. I swear I've caught at least five lords snoring in their seats, seems they found it just as hard to stay awake with the Septons hour long speech of love and marriage before I was actually married.
Once we make it out of the Stary Sept we climb into a carriage to wave and greet the small folk as they rejoice in this farce.
“we didn't have the chance to truly yet to know each other, so I had a thought, what if we did a game as we ride towards the festivities?” Ceryse asks fixing her necklace. She doesn't seem excited by the idea, but I would much rather do this ‘game’ over sitting in uncomfortable silence.
“What sort of game?”
“Hmm, hpw about I ask you a question and you have to answer it? This of course goes both ways.”
“Fine.” I say with a annoyed and resigned sigh.
“I'll go first then!” She says only to stop and think for a moment. “What is your favorite color?”
The first thing that comes to my mind is Rhaella's eyes, those pools of lavender that just looking at makes you feel calm and at ease. But I can't answer with that, for it doesn't seem like he best way to start a marriage, by declaring I love to stare into my little niece's eyes.
Then I turn to Rhaella’s hair, those wild pure sliver riglets. How you can always find, I imagine you’d only lose her in the snow they are that pure and uncorrupted, just like her.
The last thought is how when Rhaella laughs her rosy cheeks almost become a true crimson. The way her laughter always sets off mine. It always makes the worst days better somehow. Always makes my soul feel like it isn't a pit of pure blackness ready to destroy everything dear to me, but instead, it has some joy yet to be dug up and found for the world to see.
And when I look down at my crimson red jerkin I know the answer, I don’t even need to think anymore.
“Red.”
“Oh? I find red too angry of a color, I much prefer the calmness of green. though I see the appeal it is one of your house cars after all.” Ceryse answers even without me asking her the same question.
A talker it seems. I think dryly as she keeps rambling on, and on about what colors she deems gorgeous and the ones she deems not worthwhile and why.
Once we finally make it to the Hightower I partially bolt out of the carriage to escape that woman’s gods forsaken chatter. How one could love the sound of their own voice that much is beyond me.
I take her hand out of habit, for I was always taught to take my mother's, Rhaella's, and now hers.
When we enter everyone cheers and I notice my brother cover Rhaella's ears leaning down to whisper reassuring words to calm you down. She squirms in his lap trying to stay calm but the way her little face frowns and petal lips pout I doesn't seem my brother is succeeding.
“I heard you are quite close to your eldest niece.” Ceryes says as she smiles and waves at all who have come to celebrate in our union.
“Yes, what of it?”
She seems to flinch at my cold tones before answering. “Only that we both have that in common, we adore our families and would do anything for them.” She responds trying to stay cheery.
As soon as we make it to the high table my father begins a speech. The same speech he does at every feast. His nonsense of how we must stand as one realm and how unions between houses will further the seven Kingdoms prosperity.
Every time I hear it I can't help but roll my eyes, these whole already know this, they don't need their King reminding them at every fucking wedding.
I drown out my father hoping his speech will end. maybe it will bore me to death and I won't have to truly go through with this wedding? I think dryly until Rhaella leans over Aeny's reaching for me.
“Kepus, I want Kepus!” She demands a loom of fury on her face. She must have been denied me too many times this eve.
For the rest of the feast I hold my little niece close letting her play with my rings and cloak. It almost seems like everything will be fine again, like it's just the two of us in her favorite field to pick flowers so she can make flower crowns for me and her. But soon it crashes down, the bedding ceremony begins and Rhaella is taken to her chambers to sleep the night away, already having fallen asleep against my chest.
The rest is a blur, all I remember is wishes for those woman to stop touching me, and once they did I have Ceryse undressing me.
I lay the rest of the night awake trying not to think about how I still feel like a boy, not a man who must make children. A boy who shouldn't have been touched the way I was, I fight the bile that rises in my throat all night forcing it back down. I keep reminding myself this is my duty, this is what I must do for the good of my family, and I can not tremble, I can not be scared, and I can not hide from this anymore.
I turn my skin to steel, and my heart to stone. But try as I must, my soul will not turn cold, for Rhaella has already changed it for the better.
And with that thought I turn onto my side and pray to the fourteen again that sleep will find me, and it seems this time they truly did hear me.
