So... all queer and supportive readers should know Brandon Sanderson, a pretty rich author, regularly tithes to the Mormon Church (or LdS idk), who are very anti-LGBTQ+ and actively fund anti-LGBTQ+ policies and initiatives. And no one seems to care in the book community, which is so odd!

From his january 2023 statement (I think is the latest update on his LGBTQ+ views), he's trying to somehow fight the beast from within. But you can't reform an institution with a base built so strongly on discrimination like the Mormon Church (I'm not surprised he thinks like this given how insidiously anti-revolution his books are). That's not how this works. He sounds like he's trying to save face, like all this is a PR stunt. And maybe it isn't, maybe he's genuine but... Idk. It's been 17 years since his famous public anti-gay marriage statement. 17!! And he's changed so little in 17 years?? What a bunch of tepid bullshit. (Yeah he's older now and was probably raised conservative, but I was raised like that too. It isn't an excuse after 17 years!)

I'm glad he's changed somewhat and become more accepting, for the sake of queer people in his real life at least, I'm ok if queer people still enjoy his books and find his recent representation enough. But I don't think personal, private acceptance and the little representation he has now included in his books is enough when his money is still going towards said church via tithing/taxes. He's trying to stay neutral, keeping his fame, his queer fans, his public good face, but also his place in the Church, his binary essentialism and morals intact. You can't have it all, Sando! You can practice your faith separate from the institution if it really means that much to you. That's what someone brave would do. And I know you can't force someone to leave their church, but at least take a stronger stance instead of trying to play both sides!

Religious freedom becomes null when your church is actively funding and supporting discriminatory politics. Do not expect queer audiences to support you vocally or by giving you money when you think you can keep a "neutral" stance with your homophobic/racist church in a time when queer lives are being threatened everywhere with legislation and general public hatred, especially in the US, where he's from.

He's such a beloved author and no dares criticize him, but I think we need to address this as an inclusive book community.

(I don't even think his books are that great and a big reason why is because they suffer due to his narrow worldview, a lot).

Having a crush is a complicate situation for Beelzebub because he is mixed between feeling like he doesn't deserve to be loved, not even the happiness, and craving for your company, between fearing that he will end up hurting you and wanting to be with you

Even when he craves for your company he doesn't force you to stay with him, still you are free to pay him a visit whenever you, you have free room to go to his study and laboratory

He already is pretty nervous of harming you and you being hurt is something he will never want to see, so the moment you show up on his place injured this bad is something he thought he would only see in his nightmares

Just by seeing you hurt he panics, but his panic will depend in how bad you seem, just one injury doesn't shock him much and let him think without much troubles while if you have more than one injury or bruses, even if they aren't too bad it make panic more, and the more paniced he is the more anxious is his reaction, he could get scare but still be able to think properly as well as helping in the very moment or being desesperate and treating you like if you were just about to die

He isn't startle if he sees that you are bleeding, but if he end up staining his hands with your blood while trying to help you that will afect him, that brings him pretty bad memories and make him feel disgusted of himself, like if he was the one hurting you

Beelzebub tries to react quickly and help you with your injury, he knows pretty well what to do is just that a million of thoughts are crossing his mind. If you still can walk then he put your arm around his shoulders to support you, if you can't walk he will carry you, although he doesn't like it too much (for the same reason of the blood), but if you end up passing out the despair will engulf him completely but still will manage to calm down enough to help you properly

He himself takes care of healing your wound and taking proper care of you the next days, it doesn't matter if you take a few days or a whole year to recover he will be there taking care of you and he won't let you decline his help. Even so at first, before treating your wounds he will be really nervious to even approach to you, he knows he wasn't the one who harm you but he can't help but feel like he was the culprit, you had to reasure him that is okay for him to be near you

For the next days you will be his priority, even when he still feel nervious to be near you he won't be able to think on anything else, as well he won't be able to think on ask you what happened until he knows you are alright and out of danger, and he will be fully focused on help you recover as well, looking after your comfort to the point that he doesn't mind staying up all night up just in case you need something in the middle of the night

Although, once he finally ask you what happened he will pry even the smallest detail, he wants to make sure that the culprit pay for what they had done to you, what he does will depend on what happened, like if you were fighting for something he will try to keep calm and solve the problem without making a big deal, but if is someone who attacked you from behind or even betrayed you then he will let one of his creatures take care of them and make a mess of them

Hades

Even when Hades isn't hidding his crush it isn't like he will scream it to the entire world, he just like to take things slowly, enjoying every little moment he has with you and he could be really romantic and cheesy too, however he doesn't care if people notice or not the love he holds for you because that love is just for you and no one else

For him to fall in love it has to be someone of his trust so at this point you have free room to visit the palace whenever you want as well as go to visit all the rooms on it, although whenever you are in the palace he prefers to be by your side (he excuse himself saying that is for your safety but it isn't too difficult to notice that is a lie)

He doesn't think much on the posibility of you getting hurt but if that happen he is the first to offer you help, that is why going to him when you were badly injured is a really good idea

Is more probable that you came to the palace searching for him and were the guards who first greet you in the entrance, they already know you so that won't be really a problem, they react pretty quickly to help you, imediatly carrying you to the one who can heal your injury as well as notifying Hades immediately about your arrival and your condition, if that is the case he will feel a little bad for not being the one who find you first but at the same time he feels some relief that you are already being treaten, also he waste no time and go immediatly to your side, even if he has to wait outside of the room until you are out of danger he doesn't care, he just want to be near you. Although if he actually was the one who find you first just by seeing you injured he is already carrying you to where you could be treaten, it doesn't matter if you still can walk or are about to pass out he will carry you

By the very moment Hades is able to see you he enter in your room and stay there just by your side until you wake up, he want to be the first person you see when you wake up and greet you with a smile while telling you that you are out of danger, as well to asking you what happened he doesn't want to force you to talk but he wants to know so he will be able to take care of the problem if he has to, Hades isn't impulsive or anything so he will be fair while deciding how to take care of it, that is why he tries to pry all the details he can of you, he can wait for you to feel better before talking about it but he won't let pass much time neither

All the time you need for your recovery (and maybe a little more time) you will spend it in the palace attended by the servants and even Hades will let guards at the door of your room, you can call him exaggerated but that won't stop him, he just laugh at it. He is paying you a visit as a daily basis and sometimes he brings you a little gift, sometimes are flowers, other times your favorite snack, whatever he knows that will make you smile

He doesn't really let you do much aside from rest and recover, if you want to go out he has to make you company, it would be like that until you are fully recovered but he won't mind if you want to stay a little longer

You and Henry were at a car trip, it was your vacation togheter, and you two have being planning it since a long time ago. You´d be on the trip for two weeks. First, there was a 12 hours road to the first city, which you were going to stay there for five days, on a 5 star motel. You and Henry left your house early, planing to get there at 17 pm. He would start driving at 3 am and you would change places at 9 am, so each would drive 6 hours. Everything was perfect. You two got on the car and you layed on the back seat and he sat on the driver place. At 9, he stopped at a caffe for you two have breakfast. You could notice how tired he was. You both ate and got in the car.

Henry: good night, my piglly.

He immediately fell asleep, and you couldn´t believe what you had just heard. Piggly? What did he meant with that? Was he calling you fat, hairy, smelly, what? Your feelings were a mix between anger, sadness, shame and anxiety. Maybe he meant well, but you didn´t care, you two had already discussed about what to call one another, he knew he should ask about adding a new pet name.

He agrees and you go to the hotel´s restaurant. During dinner, you two discussed what you were going to do for the rest of the night. You two agreed to stay in the pool, to relax from the road.

After dinner, you were at the pool, with some soft music behind. You weren´t as talktive and needy as before, and this was killing Henry. He loved how annoyingly quiet you could be when there were other people around, but when it was just you two, you didn´t shut up. He decides to get near you to resolve it. He gently aproches you from beside, hugging you.

Episode 1, really solidifies my love of Maria and Shadows relationship. And they actually shared how Marias sickness afected her. It must suck not being able to be exert your energy and, wrll, be a kid with an illness like she has. And showing Shadows perspective of how he felt about being a creation meant to help her illness. Ahhh.

Ah didny miss the yet to be commander guy. It was interesting seeing Shadows reaction to the knowledge he was created using alien DNA. And how, once again, Maria reassures him. Pointing out the good things in him he cannot see.

Awesome seeing the gang, and of course i laughed when hearing OMEGA calling "dibs" on the biggest enemy arriving XD

1- being a werewolf affects ALOT of things. 1 the ninjas CANNOT comfortably live in a city. Partially because though the ninja don't look like most of the other werewolves and they have more control of themselves they are still werewolves which will make people wary or downright hostile. and also enhanced senses. Plus the ninja need lots of space to just run around in basically. Which is why the monastery is actually in the middle of a deep forest instead of on top of a mountain in this au. also All the ninja need more food than regular humans. and to be healthy they need a large portion of that to be meat. (the only one exempt from this would be Zane) Kai, Nya, and Cole also need a special tea Wu makes to keep from turning into a "feral" werewolf since they are werewolves because they where bitten.

this is a feral werewolf btw. Most werewolves are the feral ones. ferals are people who are forced to transform at night and they have no control over themselves when they do. Their werewolf forms basically kill anything in sight. Jay, Lloyd and Zane don't need the tea.

they all hunt regularly. While wolves The ninja can't speak but they do understand each other. They have no problem speaking in their partial human forms. All of the ninja's identities are hidden in this au to everyone except for a few like Jay's parents. also they all have to avoid silver. It burns them (minus zane yet again) 2- All the ninja are some type of werewolf. Wu does have horns, hooves and a dragon tail tho. He can hide them at will but doesn't really bother around the ninja.

3- Zane IS a mechanical werewolf :D his father and Creator Julien was a werewolf who lived in the snowy birch woods in an attempt to keep himself from hurting anyone. He still was an inventor though. Wu met Julian before he made Zane. Wu had actually been a little lost and there was a snowstorm. Wu showed Julien how to make the Tea that would help him control the werewolf curse.

After that Its much like how it is in the show with some added wolf shenanigans. Julien Got lonely and made Zane to be his son. He gave him the same abilities he had and even several extra. After Julien "dies" Zane forgets like he does in the show but remains in the woods with his (also mechanical but he doesn't know that) falcon who he had named Artemis (It bothered me the falcon was never given a name)

Wu goes back one day and ends up finding Zane. which is when they meet and Wu offers for Zane to join him at the monastery as his pupil. Wu had no clue Zane was a robot. Tbh Zane isn't really a werewolf at all ig? he doesn't abide by most werewolf rules. because he's a Robot and isn't affected by the curse at all.

4- Yes they have their elemental powers. Their powers can still be used in wolf form. 5- I think it's safe to say all their backstorys have changed somewhat. some more than others though i tried to keep the key points of the backstories in the show.

6- Kai has a tendency to get into fights and he was the only one of the ninja who was a feral werewolf in a populated area at one point. he got several scars that way. The bite mark on his arm however was the werewolf bite that turned him in the first place. all werewolves who got turned by bites have scars like that which never really fully heal of disapear. I can go into more depth into the individual backstories in separate posts if someone wants to ask about someone specifically.

have some extra lore for the au on werewolves in general:

the werewolf curse has been around since the time of the FSM. It was an old sorcerer that made it accidentally when he was trying to find a way to shapeshift. He used some oni magic and a random wolf he had acquired. The results were rather disastrous, during the day the sorcerer was human but at night a strange not quite wolf creature that killed anything in sight. These are the werewolves most of ninjago are familiar with and have existed with for forever.

Like in German you have "ich hab dich lieb" which sadly does translate into "i love you" but in German "ich liebe dich" and "ich hab dich lieb" are two diferent Things!

hello! that's very sweet and I'm glad you're enjoying my scribbles! These doodles are apart of a silly slow burn AU i got up in my noggin yes! Just because i can skip all over the timeline at any given moment but they do eventually face obann & co together (But Yasha is not free in that image) The art was more trying to depict Beau being inquisitive and or trying to sooth Yasha through bouts of lost control. I wanted to play with the dark angel thing bc its fun & why not. That scene in particular is pretty early on in their arrangement and its still eggshells & figuring each other out.

Beau is the kinda girl that i think would just touch a freaky glowing brand on someone's neck and give herself forth degree burns in the process, there was supposed to be more panels before i lost the motivation to work on it. Just depicting Beau being able to communicate with Yasha even when she's not entirely there, Rage, dissociation or anything in between. I dont think there's any actual link between like necrotic shroud or i guess fallen aasimar shenanigans and her mark, I think they trigger from the same place of despair and lack of control and maybe dark entities are pretty into feeding off that. Also thank you! again you're very kind and people showing genuine interest in my goofy doodles helps a lot.

This ask game is v fun. I choose Heat x reader for #5 I've always seen Heat as shy person whos not super confident in showing affection much both romantically and platonicly. So when he does show afection it takes the form of actions rather than words. Set before we get together~ I have a small-ish manga collection rn so before getting together, I love talking about the series that i have. So I can imagine talking to Heat about one of the series and talking about new volumes coming out. The next time the ship docks I get stuck on chore duty, while Heat can go out to wander for a bit, coming back that night with a new volume that I needed. I like to hug when I get excited about presents, so I can easily imagine myself hugging him and kissing his cheek as a thank you. His blushing would be adorable, and quite pronounced :3 Also just kissing him as a greeting or in passing because he even looks cute while playing cards with the boys or something. I can imagine they tease him a little bit but are happy for him

5- Write about a casual kiss between your ship.

D'awwwww <3 I can see Heat being shy too. Like, not crippling so, I don't think, but he's certainly not confident like Killer or Kid (let's be fair, few people can match Kid's "confidence"). But part of it is that he doesn't want to accidentally fuck his chances before he's even gotten started.

I'm going to cheat a little and just drop a excerpt from Just Like Fire, because it really nails the entire vibe I'm going for, and there's no reason to write it all out. (but, under a cut, cause it's long)

“They grow up so fast.” Ace muses once the door closes and you laugh.

“Trying to hold onto that eldest title, aren’t you?” You tease.

“I don’t have to hold onto it, it’s mine.” Ace sticks his tongue out at you as he hands off a small stack of bentos to Luffy.

“C’mon Ace, we’re gonna be late!” Luffy stays, grabbing the lunches and heading down the hall.

“Yeah, yeah,” Ace turns to you. “Have a good day, bella.” He says, kissing you on the forehead before dashing out of the kitchen.

“You … too.” You manage to say, realization sinking in as your hand goes up to your forehead.

You stand in the kitchen for a few minutes, trying to play back the event, but you can’t manage to decide if he did it without thinking or not. He had run off very quickly afterward, but he was also in a rush to catch up to Luffy.

I watched Disney's Hercules, and was reminded that the muses are the best characters.

...and i am wondering... Just thinking thoughts... Has anyone ever written a poly!muses x reader? In which reader is a hero, the biggest hero, the muses told their story. They were crazy over reader. With time, maybe, as reader is making their way to being a true hero, each and every muse falls for them. And then, when reader becomes a true hero and is turned into a deity and invited to Mount Olympus, they "meet"(they had heard of the muses, they are goddesses after all! Maybe reader could even be devoted to them as a human) the muses and thennnn just. Things progress. And the muses will say they have watched them and told their story. And reader gets flattered and gets to know, like truly, the muses and bum. Reader already had respect and a certain afection for the muses, but they were goddesses and they were just a mere mortal. Now though? As a deity? And getting to talk to them and just being in their presence in honest? Ohohoho now things change a bit. A lot. Reader falls for ALL of the muses.

Obs: the muses are not in a relationship with each other.

And as they try to navigate this situation and feelings, everything works out.

It could be a little difficult for all of you to start a relasionship even when the love is present, when Madoka is aware of her feelings she will be flustered by it but still she will be happy to be with the two of you while with Homura will be more difficult, even when she is aware of her feeling she is insecure about starting a relationship because she is more concentrate on being able to protect the two of you

When you two finally start a relasionship both will be pretty flustered in their own way. Madoka is really happy but she had never been in a relationship so she becomes a little shy at the start, specially when it comes to more romantic stuff and pda and yet she is pretty affectionate (even when she gets all blushy), in the other hand Homura is really flustered by being with the people she loves the most, even when she doesn't seem like it Homura can be pretty insecure so she get a little overwhelmed by all the love she is receiving

Both are really caring in their own way, Madoka is always looking after you two, always trying to by your side, Madoka will never let you alone when one of you have a problem, even if the only thing she can do is offer a shoulder to cry on she gladly do it, she doesn't like much leaving you alone when you have a problem and she can't stop herself from wanting to be with you (if you really need a moment just with yourself Homura is the one who convince her to let you or her alone, promising that you/her wil be alright). Homura doesn't shows much her feelings but she is always worried by the two of you, just like Madoka she is always looking after you two but she isn't obvious whit it, if you or Madoka have problems that truly afect you Homura is immediatly worried and yet she will understand if you need time to yourself and is willing to leave you alone (but the thought of you having a problem bothers her for a long time)

Homura is really protective over the two of you, and since now you are in a relationship that just make her even more protective what lead her to overwork herself even more, but it isn't like she is complaining though, she does it from the bottom of her heart, Homura rather prefer to throw herself to an inmense despair than something happening to the two of you. Homura tend to come up with excuses to don't stop and continue overworking herself so it isn't until she sees how worried the two of you are for her that she finally stops

Even so, Homura is always willing to do everything in her power to assures your safety and happiness, she can be pretty intense with that but for her is completely justified

It will take Homura a long time but at the end she will be able to open up and start to express more of herself with the two of you, even start to rely on you two a little more, but just with you and preferably in private, still she can be comfortable and open when the three of you are out on a date

Both Madoka and Homura are pretty insecure of themselfs, Madoka feels like she is nothing special and fears not being useful, while Homura is already insecure of herself and with all that happened to her she has a big weight on her shoulders, even when both has problems to see the good on their own self they have really clear how amazing are the other and you, so both are really quickly to stand up and provide comfort for all the insecurities the other have (including you), so between the two make a really good team of support

Madoka is constantly giving the two of you compliments and is always the one having ideas and the iniciative to have dates or do romantic stuff (even when she becomes really flustered by it), also she constantly ask her friends for romantic advice (specially Mami, who always tease her a little before giving her the advice), while Homura doesn't usually come up with ideas like that and normally just follow the two of you, however sometimes she comes up with little ideas of things that she really will like to try with the two of you (but when she say it she is really flustered and blushy), still she prefer dates at home or just having a moment to relax and enjoy your presence

Homura is really good to remember important things of the two of you, like your birthdays, the date of your anniversary, things that you like or dislike, specially things that you two have done (to her or between you two) that she finds extremely sweet and special and made her fall more in love, Madoka is not that good to remember those things so Homura is always giving her little reminders, for example when an important date is near (if you have problems remembering them she will remind you too, she doesn't mind)
