Have you seen the seen the headlines lately that they are reanalyzing the Columbus DNA again to figure out his origin?
I did not. So I looked it up!
Most that I found is just confirmations that the bones that are supposed to be his (in Serville) are his. And I didn't know that was such a mystery, I kinda thought it was already confirmed for ages but ig not?
I only saw one article really talking about trying to determine his origin and giving us some theories that bloomed over the year, and, I'm sorry but, most if not all of them are ridiculous imo. Plus, didn't he literally write he was from Genoa?
Would I believe he would have lied on his origin? Yes. I mean, the whole name change was a way to be more accepted imo- if we follow his determined origin (for now), in Ligurian his name is "Corombo" (or Combo, but that works less for my theory lol) which was likely (maybe accidentally) changed to "Colombo" then to "Colòn" and the train chain of other names. It's just my theory that the original 'r' was misinterpreted, but if you're willing to change your first name to Cristobal to be more accepted to the Spainish people, you basically do not care if your last name is changed too.
What I'm saying is that if Columbus would have changed his origin, he would have likely tried to make himself spanish like he "spanished" his own name (just a theory). I don't think he's above it.
Plus, Genoa being his birth place kinda makes sense to me. It was the perfect cocoon for someone like him to develop like he did, you did NOT wanna be in Genoa at that time. (I remember being told that there was a weird anti color cult, so he was a sad beige baby and that's still is a private joke with my bsf. I wish I could find confirmations on this)
What am I trying to get at? Honestly, I just don't think we'd learn anything new or anything at all. I guess it's great that what we thought were his bones actually are his bones. But for his origins? I do not know. In his story, it's very hard to find reliable narrators. We cannot fully trust his own writing, or his son's, or his brother's, or the sailors', or anyone I fear. Everything is a mix of what is most believable/accepted, what would have been the case and what wasn't told.
And now, I'm asking myself- does it matter? Will it change anything? His origins, that I still believe are Genoese, may be a mystery for some, but is it our greatest concern? Would it help us determine his actual birth name, that he seems to have a sick pleasure hiding- or maybe a birth date? We don't know that too!
But the biggest thing is, will that even impact the general public at all? We live in an era post Columbus propaganda, where multiple books and movies are made to make him be the hero.
What if he turns out to be Polish? Will that change anything? Will Genoa unclaim him? Will Poland claim him instead?
Will that little detail of his history do anything? I mean, not to bash anyone that is truely hyped by that! But, I'm not...
Tho if he turns out to be king Ferdinand's brother like I saw one theory say, that will really be something LOL!

Athens being on the top 10 most beautiful cities in the world? Well it has history and some good parts but i don't think its THAT pretty to be so high on the list đ
There are so many things I find funny in this:
Greek media being 24/7 on the watch for whatever randomness someone writes somewhere in the world.
Athens the sixth prettiest city in the world.
Saint's comment:
"Whoever places Athens in the 800 prettiest cities of the world, 1) has never visited it or 2) has the "ideal" Ancient Athens in mind or 3) is drunk or 4) is on drugs or 5) is an agent of Bakoyannis (Athens mayor) or 6) I honestly don't know what else to assume".
Besides funny I also find these a little sad because:
we have a German magazine here, which appears to be relatively popular in its country, and it makes this terrible list and I don't call it terrible because it included Athens but because 9 of the 10 cities are European and it made the massive compromise to also include New York. So we clearly have a glaringly Europe-centric, self-stroking article.
Now to be fair, if we made a list about which continent has the most beautiful cities overall, yes, I do believe it would be Europe and all cities in the list were indeed special, however they were all very European-y picture perfect (plus Athens + NY) whereas there are many more types of beauty out there.
Because the Focus magazine really... focused on Europe, it apparently included Athens in the sense that it is one of the greatest cities in the world. Please note, not prettiest. Greatest. It's different. But the article said it was about the prettiest and that was the foul.
Although hilarious, I am a little sad at saint's comment too. Athens is no way in the 10 prettiest cities of course but it certainly is in the 800, what is he talking about lmao Athens must have hurt poor saint real bad
I just wish we could see more sanity and objectivity from both media and people, you know?
And because we shitted at Athens a lot, again Athens is historically and culturally one of the greatest cities in the world and of course it does have its very beautiful places too. It's just that you have to find these, the whole city is not a "fairytale town" like other European cities, it can be messy, unkempt, grey, very...you know...urban etc etc But the good places are *chef's kiss*.
By the way, this reminded me of an interview of Anne-Marie, the ex Queen of Greece and Denmark - you know Denmark, very colourful pretty towns there - who was telling her recollection of the first day she visited Athens, to officially meet the Greek royal family that she would marry into, and she said "she was stunned by its beauty" and the Greek journalist was literally like "are you for real now lol" and she said "Yes, I am being honest. I was coming by ship and the way I saw all that vast sea of white houses expanding endlessly beyond the water was like nothing I had seen before" and I kind of get it, not fully, but kinda.
It certainly has its own thing going on.

Idk if anyone follows my posts enough to even notice this but you may have seen me talking about a lot of new things I've watched so far this year, both tv and film. I kind of made a mini resolution to do this because I found, especially at the end of 2023, that I was stuck in a rut of either rewatching old things or mindlessly flipping through YouTube videos I had little to no interest in. There's so much media out there I'm interested in and now I feel almost reinvigorated to go through it and I've been having a blast.
Most of the time I'll probably just reblog a gifset or two with thoughts in the tags but I finally watched the Interview with the Vampire tv show and I have FEELINGS (mostly good)! Spoilers for season one and I do talk about book things that eventually happen so beware in case you don't know and want to continue the show completely blind...
So I kinda put off watching this at first because the Vampire Chronicles books are some of my favourites, and while it did have its own issues, the 1994 film holds a special place in my heart. I was like... do we really need anything else? But I'm glad I gave it a chance because the show was able to go so much further in so many aspects and also now we have a chance to actually see even more of the book events take place!
I'm gonna say up front that almost every character felt very different from how they are in the book except for Lestat. Lestat was actual perfection and I cannot BELIEVE someone did a (dare I say) even better job than Tom Cruise who gave the performance of his life in the film. Sam Reid's Lestat is unhinged and dramatic and terrifying and sad and cringe and yet also loveable and it was a masterpiece of acting. For the majority of the other characters I really didn't mind the differences and in some instances I thought they were actually improved. Daniel Molloy, for example, who is basically Anthony Bourdain? Perfection. Louis who is yes kind of pathetic and dramatic like the book, but also is volatile and complicated which Lestat is drawn to right from the beginning instead of only after having his little breakdown caused by his brother's death? Excellent. Armand who is older and looks nothing like the Armand described in the books but I can see without any problem how Marius fell madly deeply insanely in love with him because he's GORGEOUS and has this unsettling serenity about him? Give. Me. MORE.
The only issue I really had was with Claudia. I see people praising her all over the place so I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but I hated that they aged her up so much. The most compelling thing about Claudia as a character is that she is an adult woman trapped in the body of a literal CHILD. A pre-pubescent child. Not a teenager. It's absolutely horrifying and it should be horrifying. Now, I will say, I saw an article where they talked about part of the reason behind this choice being that they needed the actor to work longer hours and it was impossible for a kid to do that, plus the very intense material, and I fully FULLY support any protections for child actors because the industry is insane. But it does make me sad and I wish there was some way they could have worked around it. I get what they tried to do with teenage Claudia but it just fell flat for me. And also the actress really looks her age (I think she's 20?) so like the few times where people were making fun of her for "playing dress up" or whatever I'm like... she fully looks like an older teen at LEAST what are you talking about lol. Also I thought her accent was kind of bad.
But honestly, that was really the only problem I had with the whole series. I absolutely loved how they went full-on explicit with the Lestat/Louis romance and the chemistry between the two of them was... WOOF. I was actually really interested in the modern portions too, mostly because Anthony Bour-- I mean Daniel Molloy was so entertaining lol. I loved how he pushed and pushed at Louis and their whole back and forth was brilliant. Although putting on my archivist's hat for a second to be outraged at Daniel consenting to wearing the cotton gloves to handle the diaries but then eating a fucking sandwich right beside the book???? Absolutely not lol. It was so much fun to see the Armand reveal (which I was spoiled for somehow but that's ok) especially knowing that Armand eventually turns Daniel and boy oh boy I hope they go long enough to get to that. I loved the continued references to Lestat's love of music which makes me hope they're planting seeds to make rock star Lestat a little more believable lol (god can you even imagine?? And we don't talk about the Queen of the Damned movie ok).
As for S2, I'm so excited for Paris and the ThÊâtre des Vampires and HELLO Ben Daniels as Santiago!!! Omg so hype for that. And it's going to be so interesting to see the Armand/Louis relationship as well because I mean it's always going to be Lestat/Louis and Armand/Marius for me so Louis being like "he's the love of my life"... girl. (And speaking of Armand/Marius please GOD give us some flashbacks because they are my Vampire Chronicles OTP and I need to see that whole story including my girl Bianca thank youuuuu).
Yeah so overall I'm quite positive about the whole thing and sincerely hope that they get many more seasons because there's so many interesting stories in those books and we've only ever gotten a TINY portion on screen.
#tbptalks#interview with the vampire#in addition to watching new things i'm apparently also reverting to my livejournal days and writing long rambly posts about media lol#i like throwing my opinions into the void ok sometimes i just need to get them out there#and when i have a lot to say i don't like using the tags on someone else's post

Okay I just finished watching Imitation and Iâm gonna give a review, idk why but I have a lot of feelings LOL gonna write this without giving away big plot points so no spoilers for you if you wanna know if you want to watch it or not (probably everyone already has but whatever Iâm usually late to the show)
Things I liked about it:
- Imitation was a really interesting drama because it didnât focus on all the fun stuff of the idol world like a lot of idol dramas do. Itâs main focus ends up being more on the struggles idols have to deal with, mainly pertaining to the dating issue but instead of putting it fully on the labels for keeping their artists from dating it also focused on how sasaengs think, talk, and react about their idols dating which I thought was a nice touch because that SURE IS REAL LIFE. (unfortunately they kinda drop that plot point as it goes on, but whatever)Â
- It also had plot points pertaining to mistreatment of idols by the industry and their labels, which was another thing that I liked about it. Itâs a tough world, and it should be more mainstream that we know about and find ways to help idols as theyâre dealing with all of this. Idk itâs just something that should be talked about more, so Iâm glad they did.Â
- The cast was beyond fantastic. I think thatâs honestly what made the show for me. Obviously the casting director knew the draw would be having actual idols in their show, but even those who were just actors were absolutely fantastic and did a great job in each of their roles. Dojin and Hyuk were obviously my favorites, but I think theyâre everyoneâs favorites LOL their acting chemistry was spot on and it really felt like they had been bffs for years.
- LA RI MA. Queen, icon. Absolutely in love with her tbh. What I really loved about her is that she started off being a rival for Ryeok to Ma Ha, and I thought to myself, âGreat. Sheâs gonna end up being a flat character.â but I think she ended up having the most character growth in the entire story, besides maybe Ryeok. The way she is so confident, knows her worth, and takes care of those around her makes her such an enjoyable character to watch. Every scene sheâs in she totally steals, I love her LOLÂ
- The last two episodes definitely make the entire show worth watching. Theyâre really full of heart, you get so excited, and watching them perform is really cool. I wonât give away any of the ending, but it is worth it!
Things I didnât like:
There are a few things that made me feel âmehâ about the show. It kinda felt like there were a lot of plot points that dragged on a bit too much for me. This is totally a personal opinion so like obviously you might feel different! Cool.
- So, the idea that the story starts out with a love triangle didnât appeal to me at all LOL I hate that trope, but even after that ends it starts going through the whole âweâre idols that have to date in secretâ and all that angst that comes with that and I have to admit there were a few mid series episodes that had me so bored because it felt like Iâd already seen this to some degree before. I ended up mostly enjoying whatever subplots were going on instead of the main plot. Itâs not that I didnât like their romance, but sometimes it was just SO uncomfortable because they were uncomfortable LOL idk, romance plots are not usually my jam, but there are enough other elements to make the show enjoyable for me.
- Struggles would come up and then immediately not be an issue by the next episode. I know this is only a 12 episode drama (which I think is a shame, I think if it had been 16-20 episodes then it actually would have fared so much better but alas) but I feel like...I mean if a massive contract issue comes up and can be resolved with a quick call or an article being written, then it wasnât an issue...and yet the fact that two idols are having angst over dating can be drawn out over the course of 4 episodes just didnât make sense to me LOL like youâd think the dating issue would have been resolved faster than a contract issue? idk maybe itâs just me.Â
- Eunjoâs plot, which is essentially a subplot until the end of the show, is far more interesting than most of what goes on LOL I almost would have liked to have that mystery be woven more thoroughly through the show instead of it being sprinkled in occasionally and then BOOM at the end it all comes together. I just think it might have had more impact.
- GROUP DYNAMICS. Bruh! This is what I really wanted okay? LOL I mean obviously the focus is mostly on Ryeok and Ma Ha but god I would have loved having more scenes with group dynamics and seeing how they actually all get along instead of making the other members all side characters until the very end when we see that they actually all care about each other. I didnât even know Jaewoo was the leader of SHAX until the end of the show, man LOL like it would have been nice to see more from him, and all of the others, especially since Jaewoo was essentially a snitch to the their label owner for so long and ending up having so much guilt over it, but we never saw that until the last episode.Â
I also think I would have preferred to have seen more of the past SHAX with Eunjo, because Ryeok was apparently his bff and yet we donât really get to see any of that, you know? We just hear about it. This show does a lot of telling instead of showing and I do think thatâs because of the episode limit, but itâs just a shame. I think the ending would have been more impactful if weâd gotten to see them altogether more at the beginning.
- If youâve decided to watch Imitation solely for Seonghwa and San, Iâd advise against it LOL they have like two lines per episode theyâre in (which isnât all of them, Sparkling is barely in the show aside from Yoojin(Yunho)) and basically they donât get to say or do much of anything until the end LOL I get that Sparkling is a secondary character group, basically, but it would have been nice to have seen more dynamics from them, too. I think Seonghwa and San could have honestly been like Dojin and Hyuk, the comedy duo of SHAX, but they just didnât have the time or whatever, I suppose. Like I donât even know Seonghwaâs characterâs name LOL the only reason I know Sanâs characterâs name is Minsu is because they said it once at the second to the last episode. LOL so, just a warning. But you atinys will be fed by seeing much Yunho and Jongho, I promise.
I also would have loved to have seen more group dynamics from Sparkling, as I said, because until the 11th episode, I think, I donât even see them really being like, âguys! I love you all, letâs stick together until the end!â which really confused me bc my dude Hyun Oh was literally causing property damage and giving them a problematic image but apparently they were good with that LOL idk idk
- The whole sasaeng issue gets dropped right before the ending and I thought that was rather strange since up until that point sasaengs had been one of the main roadblocks for the romance plot and they had been rather vile and annoying LOL unfortunately the show often had to skip over or completely drop or quickly resolve a lot of the large ongoing issues in order to come to a conclusive end and I thought that was a bit sad but I do understand why. Can only do so much with 12 episodes.
Overall opinion:
I really enjoyed it. I know I have some critically things to say, but as a writer I just kept seeing plot holes and had to talk about them briefly LOL (or not briefly because idk how to be brief) I think that the tone of the story was good, and that what they were trying to convey through this story was also good. I think it does give an idealistic image of idols freeing themselves from the oppressive evil labels and living the way they want, because unfortunately thatâs not always a viable option, however it did remind me of Hyuna and Dawnâs story in a way and that warmed my heart! Love conquers all, my dude, we love to see it.
I would honestly love to watch more idol dramas like Imitation that star idols and therefore we get some sick performances and awesome music and it tells an interesting and somewhat realistic story! I think itâs something anyone can enjoy, even if for me it did get a little long in the middle with all the romance stuff LOL the ending was totally worth it for me, I think itâll be worth it for you!
#imitation kdrama#kdrama#uhh yeah just me talking I guess!#tl;dr I liked it LOL and it's fun#but some of it was long :)

BIG spoilers for Fantomius: Lâinizio e la fine by Marco Gervasio
Can I just... rant a little bit about how freaking HAPPY the last two episodes of this series made me?! Oh, whatever, Iâll do it anyway. It might just be my love for unlikely protagonist/antagonist team-ups but I LOVED the temporary (or not-so-temporary) alliance we ended up with.
First of all, I really liked Pinko going from âbumbling minor adversary/enemy whoâs comically uptight and a bit arrogant but a good person at heartâ to âstone-cold badassâ in like two lines. It actually fits very well, all things considered.
(âI could have left like Lord Quackett and his girlfriend did! But Iâm not a coward, I donât run away!â
âIf injustice is law, it is our duty to oppose it!â)
On the other hand, I also liked him going back to planning to catch Fantomius and his team as soon as the Glomgold emergency was solved and the situation went back to normal. Pinko is not a cold man, but he puts his duty above all else. And his duty is not to any mayor or to any law, but to Duckburg and its citizens. He has to defend them from Wrong and make things Right for them. To him, stealing is Wrong, whether youâre stealing from the poor or from conceited or dishonest nobles. To make things Right, you have to catch the thieves. Likewise, exploiting those who are defenseless against you for your personal gain is Wrong, whether youâre a criminal or someone in a position of power. To make things Right, the one whoâs doing the exploiting must be brought down and exposed, by any means necessary. These two thoughts can and do coexist, one doesnât cancel the other out. Not even if the thief helps catch the shady powerful person in the act. I can appreciate a character with such strong convinctions and ideals.
Then... thereâs Lady Senape. (A small side note: did any Fantomius stories with her ever get officialy translated? Because Iâve seen people on here refer to her with her original name and I canât help but wonder... do you guys know it literally means Lady Mustard? Like, because sheâs kind of a foil to Dolly Paprika? Paprika... Mustard...?)
Anyway, I really, really loved her in this one. Seeing her go from the usual petty but cunning and ruthless enemy to unlikely ally ro actual friend was extremely satisfying, even if most of her character development happened offscreen.
Now, this is probably an unpopular opinion, but... Iâve always liked her as a character. Because sheâs a foil to Dolly but sheâs not just some Clingy Jealous Ex or a shrew who canât actually manage to do anything on her own, because sheâs kind of a foil to John, too, because I have a fondness for friends/lovers to enemies situations, and because I was utterly charmed by her first appearance. The mystery, the tension, the whole Chinese theatre thing with the symbolic colours... it all made a big impression on me, yâknow? So, thatâs why I was pretty disappointed when it looked she was never going to get any real character development. In any direction, I mean. Had she turned out into something like a Big Bad to rival Glomgold, I would have been just happy that she got a little something more to do in the Fantomius stories.
And that was were I thought her character was headed to when I began reading Lâinizio e la fine. I mean, she WAS getting the chance to seriously mess up everyoneâs future, right? And well, she did, pretty much...
But the prologue of Lâinizio e la fine came with a little article on Lady Senape herself. Probably just to recap her previous appearances for forgetful or occasional readers, sure. But between explaining why she wanted revenge on Fantomius after Fu Man EtchĂš, comparing and contrasting her to Dolly, and showing Gervasioâs studies on her character, the writer slipped in a bit of backstory that... I donât really remember if it had ever come up before, honestly.
âJen Yu comes from a family of Chinese farmers and sheâs a descendant of Ching Shih, the nom de plume of the lady pirate who terrified the Chinese Seas at the beginning of the XIX century,â the article said. And being fascinated by lady pirates, Ching Shih herself, AND the idea of Jen Yu having a backstory offering all kinds of possibilities and parallels (did she go from downtrodden peasant to ruthless thief, unlike John who went from dissatisfied nobleman to gentleman thief? Did she discover her ancestry and immediately decide to emulate Ching Shih to take revenge on society for a difficult upbringing, kinda like early days Paperinik? Was a secret diary involved? Were her parents honest folks or was Ching Shihâs glory reduced into a family of petty thieves and crooks, and either way, did Jen Yu ever want to commit great and daring crimes to make her pirate ancestor proud? Did...) I couldnât stop reading too deep into it. Though in the end, my main take from it was... âWait, is she getting an actual backstory and an article all about her because sheâs gonna be... important?? Sympathetic??? Someone the readers will be supposed to root for at some point????â
Nevertheless, I tried not to raise my own hopes too much. For all I objectively knew, Senape was just gonna be petty and vindictive and have her backstory never actually mentioned or referenced in-story and...
And then, Distopia and La fine e lâinizio happened. And the only thing that didnât make me absolutely giddy about her was the lack of âWell, you know, one of my ancestors really was a pirate!â lines during the whole âboarding Glomgoldâs shipsâ sequence.
Of course, I did spend the week between those two stories theorizing how Senape would turn out to be secretly working with Glomgold and spying on the group even as she pretended to have become their friend. Or betray everyone and ally herself with Glomgold as soon as things got too tough for her liking. Or help take down Glomgold but then immediately try to steal the golden mask again and turn back to the asshole I knew and loved (even as I longed to see something more done with her...). Needless to say, I didnât (dare hope to) think the change would stick or even bring about any significant character development. And yet, what did I get?
Senape working together with Dolly and Copernico for a whole year without ever selling them out. The three of them being actually a good team. The three of them becoming actual friends. Senape and Dolly giving up on their âLol your boyfriend used to be my lover donât you feel sooo jealous when you think about it?â âBitch you broke his heart and youâre an asshole and I want to punch you in the faceâ dynamic to... become an honest-to-goodness adorable duo? And Senape becoming a permanent (?) member of the team because Dolly asked her and Copernico vouched for her and she was all for it because she liked working with them?? Dolly defending Jen Yu from Johnâs objections and John giving in even if he rightfully doesnât trust his ex completely???
*squees*
Btw, Iâm also just so happy about Dolly having what seems to be shaping up as a regular female friend that is also involved in her criminal life. She deserves that. <3
If it doesnât all go back to normal in the next Fantomius series with a sudden backstabbing, that is. Iâll be very sad for Dolly if that happens. Hope they just keep being besties.
#disney comics#duckverse#fantomius#i actually do ship dolly x senape a little#i mean just look at that last panel#'we have a lovely guestroom... ;)' 'are you asking me to stay? ;))'#honestly if i can lowkey ship dolly and john with copernico i can be open to other poly possibilities right?#maybe even an ot4...

Shall we Date? Wizardess Heart Part 32 - Ted Route
It's been a while since the Buddy System was talked about, so I guess it might be interesting to see Ted and the heroine become buddies. I mean, she's not a dunce anymore so there should be nothing to complain about like with Elias loll. Hmm the new twins don't look very appealing for now, so let's see how this goes~ Ted is probably the most interesting one out of these new students lol. Anddd he's very prickly, but I guess it's understandable since he's a beastman and he probably wants to hide that from the heroine just in case she doesn't take to his race kindly. It was so cute how his ears and tail came out when he got drunk and fell asleep though lmao. Hahahaha I love how blunt the heroine was when she told him that she thought he was pretty handsome when his mouth was shut, and he said the same thing back to her lol.
WHAT? Lars (the older twin that looks like a little boy) publishes science articles?! I honestly thought he was just gonna be another silly guy lmaoo. Way to go against the stereotypical look I guess. It's sweet to know that Ted wanted to back out of being a part of the investigation team with the heroine and them because he didn't want them to be seen negatively as well (since everyone found out he was a beastman when he used magic and undid his transformation magic). It's nice that the others are seeing more of his considerate side since he's so harsh and cold most of the time lol. Aww I love how they manned the fruit shop at Hisoka's market together! I think it was really sweet of him to encourage her to keep at it a bit longer when she was really tired, he even praised her for being so good at customer service! Like, how rare is that?! Hahaha. Ooh, so Ted actually came to the academy because he needed to go to the forest to check up on the seal on the Nidhogg (monster with deadly venom that kills everything around it) that his people made a hundred years ago. Although it's kinda crazy that they sent him to check on the seal but don't have the means to actually seal it back up again if it were to break the seal; which it is slowly doing right now. It was really nice of Ted to tell her it doesn't matter that she was incapable in the past, because her past self is what made her today, and he even said she's a great Prefect now! Glad to see that Ted is acting more mature and kind towards the heroine now, he's warming up to her haha. HAHAHA, I loved how Ted hid behind the heroine when he saw Seth (wolf with Yukiya), it's so cute how he's scared of dogs and wolvesđ¤Ł
Ted doesn't like to show his emotions much, but I found it really heartwarming when he told the heroine that he didn't want to see her get hurt on his watch haha. It's actually really cute how honest Ted is being with the heroine by asking to walk with her to class and even holding her hand!! Soo cuteee𼰠The confession really wasn't romantic at all, but I loved how straightforward Ted was about it, since I'm sure he knew her feelings as well. It's cute how they're going on their first date already though~ Lmao when everyone sacrificed Zeus to try and get Ted's Tiger Roar to work on the Nidhogg possessed Clive loll. Poor Zeus. It was obvious that the heroine needed to be the one in real danger for Ted to be able to use it properly. Aww, so the reason why Ted has been hesitating all this time about staying in the academy is because if he succeeds in this mission, he will be named clan chief and he's been aiming for that to prove himself his whole life since everyone used to view him as a weakling𼺠It was nice to see everyone combining their powers with a concrete plan on sealing the Nidhogg. It actually felt like they delegated their tasks properly this time instead of just the usual kinda fighting in the other routes imo haha.
Ted passing the trial was evident, and although considering how meaningful becoming the chief of his clan was supposed to be, he sure took losing the opportunity quite well lol, but I guess I can understand that staying with the heroine, becoming more mature and knowing more about the outside world would be better for him instead and I'm happy that he's kinda broken out of the idea that he needs to "succeed" their expectations and instead is living a bit more for himself. I don't know why they bothered making the heroine his buddy in this route though, because it changed nothing about the story, I'm sure she would have helped him regardless of whether he was her buddy or not. Otherwise, I liked this route. Mainly because it felt much better in terms of story compared to the other recent ones. Like, it's not as good as the first few seasons obviously, but at least I relatively enjoyed Ted and the heroine because of how cute he was, and also how capable he was. Clive and Lars don't appeal to me at all though so I'm hoping they'll surprise me in a good way but who knows. On another note, now that Wizardess Heart and my favourite Ninja Shadow are being dumped/discontinued by NTT Solmare, there won't be any more updates on these once I'm done with all the routes. I'm honestly so sad because I love Ninja Shadow, but it was pretty much expected once they ditched Wizardess Heart. I tried to play Obey Me but it's not my thing, and Story Jar is just annoying in terms of how money grubbing it is and just the way the whole app is done. So yeah, guess I can focus on my Switch and PC otome after I'm done with the last 5 routes! Well, I guess I still have the Ikemen games and Ayakashi Romance Reborn though hahaha!

Saw the My Hero Academia Heroes Rising Movie!
It was a lot of fun (and the animation in the second half was AMAZING eye candy) but also KINDA STRANGE in some ways.Â
The previous MHA movie was set between the second and third season, so I assumed this would be the same and be set between the third and the currently airing one, but this actually seemed to be concurrent with wherever the manga is right now, and referenced several events that havenât happened in the anime yet, and featured characters that havenât appeared yet. Not like super huge spoilers, but like, for instance, Todoroki quotes something I GUESS Endeavor must have told him in the manga but hasnât said to him in the anime yet at a dramatic moment? even that dude who caused all the controversy with his name reveal recently factors in and appears for a few minutes. So if youâre an anime-only like me, fair warning for that.
There were also a lot of hilariously contrived things in this movie including the entire premise which was like
UA: so weâve been roasted in the press and lost the trust of society for being irresponsible supervising our students who are currently being targeted by a villainous organization that will take any opening to attack them. what do we do?
Aizawa: well I think we should send the entire class of first years to an isolated island with ZERO adult hero supervision, where the nearest help is like a thousand miles away and they can easily be cut off from communication with the outside world! Also we should task them with protecting the entire populace, and do absolutely nothing to check up on them or keep the League of Villains from following them and attacking. This is a cool island with no crime on it usually so, yâknow, it should be fine.
UA: brilliant!
It did make for some cool fight scenes and having all the peeps in class 1A get to show off their powers a bit, which is something the first movie didnât do very well. The first half of the movie was very obnoxious in the âguys fight, girls are in charge of evacuation and donât get to fight bc weâre not going to bother to hide our sexism hereâ but the second half had all the kids teaming up for cool combo attacks which mitigated it a bit.Â
also Bakugou and Dekuâs contrasting ways of dealing with the two little kids they were protecting WAS side-splitting; at one point poor Deku has to crawl on Bakugouâs back and SHOVE HIS FINGERS INTO HIS EYES and prevent him raging out at these small children and it made me laugh so hard, as did the little girl saying âOH HEY ITâS THE MEAN ONEâ when Bakugou arrived to rescue her.
BUT HEY SPEAKING OF BOTH COOL FIGHTS AND REALLY CONTRIVED THINGS, THAT ENDING.
in an article I skimmed, Horikoshi mentions the movie is basically an idea he considered for the final arc, and I was like âhuh I wonder how that worksâ but when you watch the last half of the movie YUP itâs truly a bunch of climactic shonen final arc resolution events happening that are then immediately undone and itâs just SO awkward and hilarious. spoilers under the cut
Basically, Deku and Bakugou fight a villain who is basically All for One except itâs A Different Dude.
Deku is all: KACCHAN I WILL SACRIFICE ONE FOR ALL AND GIVE IT TO YOU SO WE CAN LIKE, BOTH HAVE ITÂ FOR A WHILE AND BEAT THIS GUY WITH DOUBLE POWER AND THENÂ IF WE LIVE YOUâLL JUST HAVE IT I GUESS
Bakugou: wtf really. (his conflicted, upset and uncomfortable expressions here were REALLY detailed, like I said the animation was gonzo, but it was honestly rlly weird to see him experience a lot of emotions at once IM NOT USED TO HIM HAVING MORE THAN ONE)
DEKU: YEAH WHY NOT, JUST FUCKINâ TAKE IT, YOU GET TO HAVE EVERYTHING JUST LIKE WHEN YOU STOLE MY LUNCH MONEY
Bakugou: oh shit...weâre going to slowly reach and have our fingers brush each other and struggle until we finally clasp hands arenât we...Â
Deku: YEAH THATâS RIGHT BITCH!!! AND WEâLL MIX BLOOD WHILE MIGHT U TOUCHINGLY PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUNDÂ
Bakugou: fuck. Kirishima canât ever know about thisÂ
Deku: NOW ACCEPT THIS HAND, AND THUS SYMBOLICALLY YOU ACCEPT THE HAND I OFFERED YOU WHEN WE WERE FIVE OR WHATEVER, CULMINATING YOUR ARC AS MY RIVAL AND GIVING YOU THE POWER TO BECOME SUPER SAIYAN
Bakugou: oh no youâre not kidding I look so stupid.
Deku: That you do, Vegeta. NOW ARE YOU EXCITED TO BREAK YOUR ARMS!!!
Bakugou: didnât you spend like, a whole episode realizing you have legs??? what happened to that? but yeah actually i am i have always wanted to show i can break my arms with these powers way better than u ever did!!!
Deku: honestly I couldnât have chosen anyone more deserving than u to feel this pain
anyway they fight together and then pass out and All Might arrives ten minutes late with starbucks: what the fuck did you do young midoriya
Deku: IâM SO SAD I SACRIFICED MYSELF AND MY DREAM.Â
All Might: NOT AS SAD AS ME IF YOU GAVE MY POWERS TO YOUNG BAKUGOU! THAT MEANS I ACTUALLY HAVE TO SPEND A TIME WITH HIM NOW. DO YOU KNOW HOW ANNOYING THAT WILL BE FOR ME
Deku: sorry
All Might: oh thank god i guess Bakugou passed out conveniently before the powers fully transferred so you still have them or whatever
Deku: wow that is incredibly convenient.
All Might: alternately maybe my mentor was doing me a solid from beyond the grave and stopped the power from transferring to someone obnoxious with the other One for All-ers. Thanks Hero Mom :â). always looking out for me.
Deku: uhh when i proposed a similar theory about the people connected to One for All helping me you said it was stupid-?
All Might: YEAH WELL THAT WAS WHEN YOU SAID IT WASNâT IT??? SHUT UP.
Deku: anyway in the trend of convenient happenings, when Bakugou woke he remembered nothing about this fight...
Bakugou: Assagdsfasfasdasd WHY ARE MY ARMS BROKEN???
Deku:... so our relationship in the main series isnât affected and -
Bakugou: WHY ARE MY ARMS BROKEN IN THE SPECIFIC EXACT WAY DEKUâS ARE ALSO BROKEN???
Deku: ...and the status quo can remain!
Bakugou: you know what. Iâm not going to question this any further. because i donât ever want to remember the fact i held hands with a nerd. god i love repressing.
***
Like can you imagine if Horikoshi had gone through with this, what a depressing ending this would be without the reset???. âall that stuff about this being the story of deku becoming the greatest hero lol we pranked youâ IâM GLAD HE CHANGED HIS MIND but also it tickles me that he apparently thought at one point that holding hands with Deku was the ultimate endpoint of Bakugouâs character. I hope in his original plan Bakugou had held hands with everyone else in Class 1A at that point and Deku was the Final Step.Â
Anyway, ridic contrivances aside it was a fun movie and it was very fun to see it in theatres with everyone very excited and cosplayers and all that. JUST PREPARE TO DRINK IN THE SHONEN, CUZ THEY AINâT HOLDINâ BACK.

BnHA Chapter 223: Let Me Give You a Hand
Previously on BnHA:Â Tomura had a flashback to when he first met All for One. AFO told him heâd spontaneously developed a rare quirk which led to him accidentally killing his entire family and his adorable dog. Baby Tenko was able to recall âfragmented imagesâ of the incident but curiously has no clear memories of his life beforehand. But Iâm sure AFO isnât lying, him being such a stand up guy with no obvious ulterior motives here. Anyway so we also found out that the hands are supposedly all thatâs left of Tomuraâs family, if anyone actually buys that. And Ujiko is the one that made them. Ujiko, as it turns out, doesnât really plan to withhold the Noumus and everything from Tomura, but he does want Tomura to prove heâs ready to handle them, and to do that he wants him to go back and win over Gigantomachia. Tomura was all âokay fineâ and so Ujiko teleported him back along with the rest of the Shigaraki Squad, except for Dabi who didnât wanna (heâd rather antagonize Hawks instead). So thatâs where weâre at now. Oh and I almost forgot, but Tomura wants to destroy everything, like the whole fucking world, because he feels like that might help to ease his constant inner pain and torment. So thatâs nice. What a nice chapter.
Today on BnHA: We fast-forward to mid-December. Tomura and the gang have been dueling Gigantomachia near-ceaselessly for the past month and a half. Giganto can fight for a full 48 hours (and 44 minutes) at a time without rest, so the Squad has been taking it in shifts, but since Tomura is Gigantoâs main target heâs been fighting almost constantly. He seems to be in good spirits, though, and is confident theyâre making progress. Anyway, so shortly after Gigantoâs scheduled nap begins, Twice gets a call from Giran! Or rather, Re-Destro, calling from Giranâs phone, to brag about having kidnapped Giran. Apparently heâs been keeping busy by chopping off Giranâs fingers. Ramsay Bolton-ing it, if you will. Heâs been leaving them at strategic locations across the country trying to get the Leagueâs attention, but his buddies finally managed to hack Giranâs phone and get his contact info, so it turns out the finger-chopping wasnât strictly necessary. So he explains who he is and what heâs about, says there are 116,516 members of the Liberation Army spread throughout the nation (did you do a fucking census?!), and explains that they have a satellite tracking Tomuraâs location. He then delivers an ultimatum: come and fight, or be captured by the authorities.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. Iâm caught up with the manga now at chapter 226, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
so the title of this chapter is âcockroachâ, which could mean anything, but is most likely being used in the âpesky little bugger whoâs obnoxiously hard to killâ sense. Tomura are you the cockroach. who is the cockroach. hmm
(ETA: yeah I still donât know. whatever)
anyway so now itâs mid-December...! holy shit what, weâre caught up?
actually, scratch that, weâre ahead of where we were before because our last update was âearly December, Sunday morningâ on the day of Shouto and Katsukiâs provisional license retest. shit. Tomura Iâm gonna need you to stop whatever it is youâre doing and go on your phone and look up articles about the purse snatchers who were stopped by the two young heroes who placed first and second in the U.A. sports festival earlier this year. specifically I need you to find out for me what Kacchanâs fucking hero name is omfg. can you do that
Tomura. Tomura, focus
...
okay I can see that youâre busy right now. wow. okay, uh
so lol this guyâs been at it for a month?? more or less? do I have that right? Tomura how the fuck are you still alive. you really are a cockroach
also did Giganto just fucking snap you in two here or
oh I should have known
hahaha theyâre so cute!
Iâm honestly amazed they havenât fucking quit. theyâre still at it. this is one loyal bunch of bastards. and Tomura is showing more dogged perseverance than I ever expected him to be capable of. makes me sad for what could have been, honestly
why doesnât Compress just compress him. youâre telling me he hasnât managed to touch him once in the however many weeks that theyâve been at this? or maybe he has and thatâs how theyâve managed to survive this long lol
anyways, so Giganto is all âWEAK!â again and now heâs doing this
so maybe thatâs why Compress hasnât been able to touch him. he got that DBZ battle aura shit going on
(ETA: heâs kinda giving me All Might vibes, actually. Deku you wanna take a crack at this?)
meanwhile Spinner and Toga are watching from a safe distance like smart people
Toga says it looks like Tomuraâs in trouble, and Spinnerâs all âsame as always thenâ
also Spinner has changed out of his Stain cosplay at long last and I donât know what to make of this you guys
this is a shockingly normal look. a hoodie and a fucking jacket. Iâm just... Iâm still processing this. okay you win this round Spinner
so heâs explaining for those who arenât paying attention to the timeline that itâs been more than a month and a half since Tomura was tasked with getting Gigantomachia to chill out, and he has still not chilled out
holyyyyyyy shit
I have to assume Spinner is exaggerating things here for the sake of drama because Tomura would fucking be dead. or else heâd have quit by the second day. screw destroying the world, Iâm gonna take up knitting or something
I seriously canât believe this shit though? was this part of AFOâs plan also? talk about a way to level up your protege in record time. either he dies or he becomes the strongest bitch who ever lived. has AFO been sneaking peeks at U.A.âs lesson plans
holy shit
wow they really are true ride or dies. also Dabi 100% had the right idea. best decision you ever made Touya
but seriously though Tomura should be dead. forget just sleeping, when is he eating and drinking? are the others going on coffee and bagel runs on their breaks? are you telling me Tomuraâs been fighting this guy for the past 40 days all doped up on caffeine with only cup ramen to sustain him and running on 9 daysâ worth of sleep spread out over six weeks wtf. he should be dead from exhaustion or else a fucking heart attack
holy shit Horikoshi actually explained how their broke asses didnât just up and starve to death though omg
they got an allowance awww
also Toga is still the cutest and my favorite and fuck yeah girl you tell him though. nobody wants to be running around in the woods in fucking December without a fucking coat, Spinner
interesting that sheâll steal a bikini but not a jacket lol. nah weâre paying for that like good honest citizens
holy shit Spinner youâre still having your identity crisis?
I canât decide if Horikoshi is setting things up to have him jump ship and join Detnerat (what with him feeling increasingly disillusioned with the League, and Destroâs philosophy being something that would almost certainly appeal to someone with his quirk and history), or purposely trying to make it seem like he is so that he can subvert everyoneâs expectations and have him unexpectedly remain loyal to Tomura at the critical moment. kinda like what happened when Katsuki got captured. right now Iâm leaning more to him defecting though; I think that plot would open up a lot more possibilities story-wise
(ETA: after reading Togaâs latest chapter Iâve swung back around on this. the Liberation Army is full of fucking phonies who donât practice what they preach. look at how Kizuki was trying to make Toga into a martyr for their cause. I feel like Spinner would be able to see through their bullshit. hopefully.)
by the way you guys has Ochako always been on this list or is this a recent development??
and I love you, Toga! even though this in no way even comes close to answering Spinnerâs question though! itâs okay it was foolish of him to ask
(ETA: so apparently she loves Ochako because she ships her and Deku! this is one of the most relatable things in this manga to date.)
lol
hush you thatâs what makes her so perfect
and now I guess some time is passing and now theyâre finally getting to take a break!
you know, thatâs a good point about him eating. heâs gotta power himself up somehow. all quirks have a limit, weâve known that since very early on. at some point Giganto has to reach his, right?
holy shit you guys
I just got some strong Katsuki vibes coming off of our resident crazyboy here and I need a moment to process this. damn. thatâs some powerful character development from a guy whose signature move up till this point was sitting on a couch
Spinnerâs watching him and thinking that Tomuraâs gaze looks like that of âa young boy chasing his dreamsâ
yeah, his dream of destroying the whole world and everything in it. so pure
oh FUCK
YOUR BOY GIRAN WHOâS CURRENTLY BEING HELD BY DETNERAT?? THAT GIRAN? UH
lol Compress is telling Twice to ask if his robot arm is insured. Giran has bigger things to worry about than your arm dude. if this even is Giran calling and Giran isnât fucking dead, since we do know this series isnât above killing people off every now and then, and we had quite the disturbing image of what looked like a finger lying on what was apparently Giranâs signature scarf in the last chapter
Twice is saying that Giran is a real good guy and that he looked out for Twice even after he joined the League
ffffff he really is fucking dead huh
lmao but because itâs Twice he then immediately shouts at Giran for being an asshole and not answering Compressâs calls
OH FUCK
FUCK ME YOU GUYS GIRAN WAS FUCKING TORTURED TO DEATH. HOW THE FUCK DOES THIS SERIES KEEP ESCALATING ITS LEVELS OF HARDCORE WHEN IT COMES TO VILLAINS
so Compress is stupidly asking if Giranâs using a voice changer, but Twice has already conned on to whatâs going on
oh fuck oh shit oh fucking shit
Compress is immediately whipping out his phone
OH FUSCK
JUST VILLAIN THINGS
fuck me this fucking series not pulling any punches. âwhat timeslot does the anime currently run in, again?â Horikoshi asks absentmindedly while he proceeds to not give a flying fuck one way or the other
ksdjlfkjw jesus fucking christ
IS THIS FUCKING GAME OF THRONES??! are you fucking for real with this shit??! AND SURE, WHY NOT, LETâS JUST DRAW THE FUCKING FINGER JUST LYING THERE ON THE SIDEWALK
BREAKING NEWS, JUST ANNOUNCED, SEASON 5 OF THE RUNAWAY ANIME HIT âMY HERO ACADEMIAâ TO AIR EXCLUSIVELY ON HBO
oh hold up lol thereâs more
well fuck me yâall if that ainât a whole fucking hand
and fuck me also because the site of All Mightâs last stand against AFO in Kamino is officially known as Ground Zero and itâs commemorated with a fucking statue and everything. my Kacchan hero name theory is decimated, Ground Zero as Kacchanâs hero name is fucking confirmed and if it is the case Iâm going to get extremely emotional now at what his obvious reasons would be for choosing that name holy shit though
(ETA: although to be fair! whatâs written in the chapter here is ă°ăŠăŚăłăăźă (Guraundozero), whereas Bakugouâs name from those old character book sketches was çĺżĺ° (Bakushinchi). so itâs not quite the same! I feel like itâs still up in the air. I really just need this to be settled already lol. can you tell by the way I keep bringing it up multiple times each chapter even though this is an arc about the fucking villains for peteâs sake.)
-- oh shit heâs right. so weâve got the Eight Preceptsâ house, Hosu City, the Highway to Hell, Kamino, and now Fukuoka. you guys if memory serves, that is indeed every known League of Villains incident location... except for one. the very first one. as if U.A. needed any more reason to be on edge lately holy christ. letâs hope to god they donât start chopping off the other hand
oh snap Jokerâs got himself a name now!
Redestro? or ReDestro? lol thatâs one of those names that looks fine in all-caps comic book letters but when typed out like this it looks stupid as hell
(ETA: Iâm going with Re-Destro since it looks the least weird to me. idk.)
wow Tomura youâve had time to keep up with the NY Times bestselling list while fighting for your life for the last six weeks? Iâm impressed
this kid is not in a mood to play nice with others today and Iâm loving it
Twice. where the fuck do you think Giran is. smdh
wow, Re-Destro says heâs actually still alive. hey you donât have to show us what kind of condition heâs in, Horikoshi. just putting that out there. we have functioning imaginations, we get it. weâre good
(ETA: heâs actually doing a lot better than I thought heâd be. though I still want to take him home and wrap him up in a blanket and make him watch Jaimeâs redemption arc in GoT and see if he gets inspired.)
anyway so Re-Des says theyâre gonna destroy the status quo and rebuild the world into a place where everyone is free to use their powers to their full extent whenever
wow, Compress
um idk maybe because they chopped your brokerâs fucking fingers off??? were you guys not tight with Giran or what? poor dude suffered some horrific shit all because he didnât want to sell you fuckers out. least you could do is be offended
meanwhile Tomura wants to get a raincheck on this whole affair because he has other pressing matters to deal with right now
at least he told them to release Giran
oh fuuuuuuuuuuuck
where are they?? an observation tower somewhere??
jesus christ is that blood on his lap there??
how are his arms even tied behind him if heâs missing a fucking hand????
(ETA: genuinely curious about that last one though lol.)
wow Re-Destro is really testing the Leagueâs empathy levels here
well, Tomura, thatâs some pretty fucked up shit he did to your guy. what do you think. are you even slightly horrified. pissed off?
oh shit you guys!!
HE DIDNâT EVEN TALK. THIS MOTHERFUCKER DIDNâT BREAK, THEY HAD TO HACK HIS PHONE WITH THEIR MAD IT SKILLS IN ORDER TO GET THE LEAGUEâS CONTACT INFO. AND GIRAN LOOKS FUCKING HORRIFIED OH MY GOD
guys I canât believe Giran is my new favorite character I s2g Horikoshi if you touch him again Iâll
...anyway. letâs do this whole two-page spread now because Iâm super hyped in spite of my also being horrified by everything
FEEL GOOD INC. is that a fucking Gorillaz reference in my fucking shounen manga about superheroes. do I need to analyze me some lyrics. I canât actually see any connection lol aside from it being a badass name for a villain corporation
guys I canât believe Kizuki is my new favorite character I s2g Horikoshi if you touch her Iâll
oh hey, cool, shouldnât be too hard to take these guys out. theyâve just got billions of dollars (presumably) and one hundred thousand soldiers lying in wait ready to rise to action at a momentâs notice, their words not mine. cool. cool cool cool cool cool cool cool weâre fucked
OH SHIT
is that why heâs in that observation place? fucking hell, how?
OH SHIT, AGAIN
HOW FUCKING NOBLE OF YâALL. though honestly I guess if we have to pick between the villains with the 12 Noumus of the Apocalypse who want to destroy everything, or the villains capable of running a successful business who just want people with quirks to be free, objectively the latter group is a better bet to side with
except for the fact that the latter group is totally cool with snapping their poor mouse secretaryâs neck just because he didnât like their book. and theyâre also down to chop off a guyâs fingers one by one just to make a damn point. so yeah, pardon me but Iâm gonna side with the League here in spite of everything
wow what the hell kind of negotiations are these??
so you just called to tell them that? âhi hello just wanted to introduce myself and let you all know I hate you and hereâs how fucking screwed you are lol have fun with thatâ
haha hey Horikoshi what the fuck
(ETA: so yeah this is that same hand gesture that heâs doing in the panel immediately after this one. I guess itâs just their thing. these guys think theyâre so fucking cool. itâs not cool to chop off peopleâs hands, Re-Destro!!)
I canât believe I have to deal with this shit on the same day Iâm posting the damn mushroom chapter recap
oh wow okay so he is actually giving them a chance here
lol wow this fucking arc. holy shit
but who was cockroach. well whatever. fucking villain arcs though, you guys. omg

okay, iâm on my way home from AWA and iâve finally had time to actually look into overwatch 2 and collect my thoughts, so here goes... this is gonna get far too long and essentially be a big essay that i know most people wonât care about, but i just really wanna get my thoughts out so iâll drop it under a readmore! also be warned that if youâre super into the new character designs you wonât be into part of this post, lol. but anyway:
first off, i think a lot of the discourse iâve seen about it seems... overblown and based on inaccurate info?? (donât worry i am not talking about hong kong here, people are absolutely justified in hating blizzard for that and so do i). people keep acting like theyâre gonna charge $60 just for new maps or something but for one thing no price or release date has been announced (in fact, the dev team doesnât even know when it will release and itâs been said that we may have to wait until 2020 for a date, because itâs still early in development), and for another thing overwatch 1 wasnât even $60 on pc at launch?? yes on console it was which sucks but most of the playerbase is on pc, and the base game was $40 at launch for us. blizzard cannot be so colossally stupid that theyâd charge more for this than for the base game, and if they do iâll absolutely be complaining about it, but for now we literally have no clue how much the cost for OW2 will be.
and on top of that, itâs... not just new maps? itâs new maps, yes, but also multiple new heroes at launch, a whole new PvP mode, a PvE story mode which is something people have begging for to move the lore forward, a new updated engine, and the PvE will have its own maps and brand new abilities and skill treesâwith the abilities and skill trees being unlike anything overwatch has done before, and uniquely exclusive to OW2 and not affecting the PvP so youâre not unfairly disadvantaged if you donât have OW2âand i also feel the need to reiterate that itâs still in early development so i highly doubt we already know all there is to know. blizzard hasnât been entirely clear on what overwatch 2 even is tbh but itâs certainly not just new maps and if you think it is then iâm actually begging you to spend at least 30 seconds on google because 30 seconds is really all you need to click on one article and see that thatâs far from the truth.
also if youâre not interested in the lore then from what iâm gathering you donât even need to buy it because apparently OW1 is getting all the same stuff except for that? like, people are saying blizzard should just release it all as free content, but apparently they almost are since the new âpushâ game mode, plus the map that comes with it (and any future ones) is coming to OW1 and itâs gonna keep getting all the hero updates and everything that isnât exclusive to the PvE mode and players will be put into the same PvP lobbies across games?? correct me if iâm wrong on that but it sounds like if you already own OW1 and donât want the story mode stuff you literally donât need to buy OW2 at allâso if you do then youâre just buying the story mode/PvE stuff, thatâs it. and if you do, every cosmetic item you already own will transfer over! itâs also not like OW1 is done updating, as we know we can still expect new heroes in it before OW2 releases.
donât get me wrong, i am a bit worried that the amount of new content wonât be enough to justify the price, i do still hate blizzard for the entire hong kong controversy and desperately wish they would do better, and as a massive lore enthusiast and someone whose primary reason for loving overwatch is based in its characters and world i am very frustrated that this is what it takes for the story to actually move forward, but iâm also really excited to see where this all goes and i honestly think people are largely just complaining without actually looking into what theyâre complaining about. i also literally donât understand the idea that âlol overwatch already had this for like a week before they took it outâ about the PvE stuff and would like someone to explain that to me if possible because iâve been playing this game since very shortly after launch and iâm confused asjdjdnfkd
that all being said i do have what iâm guessing is a pretty unpopular opinion though, and itâs that i... i donât like most of the character redesigns weâve seen, and the ones i do like i mostly just kinda like, i donât love them or feel excited about them, while the rest iâm neutral toward or hate, and that actually really upsets me because the ones i hate most are for two of my most favorite characters and it makes me worried for what they mightâve done to redesign and potentially mess up my other favesâbut i guess these will be the designs going forward, and everybodyâs pretty fanart is gonna have these designs, so iâll just have to get used to them.
to be more specific on that last point: i absolutely hate lucio and mercyâs hair and iâm honestly really sad about that, especially since i run a mercy appreciation blog and i donât wanna celebrate her new design on it because i hate it so that would be very insincere of me but i donât wanna say negative things and complain on it either, but i just think her hair looks so strange now. and i like lucioâs outfit tbh but his weird neon glowstick hair just... ruins it, it looks so bad to me i canât stand it and i want his regular hair back. i would honestly prefer not to even acknowledge these 2 designs (well, mostly the hair i guess) exist if i could help it. i also donât like reinhardtâs beard or bun although i am glad to see his face exposed and like the lion on his armor, and i can see his new hair possibly growing on me eventually. and while meiâs design is mostly okay i loved her old hairpin, it was distinctive and cute and iâm sad itâs gone because i dislike whatever it is thatâs in her hair now sjdjdkgkd. also before seeing a side by side comparison i legit had to ask a friend if anything was even different about winston or if i was just blindâwhich i guess, considering how i feel about the others, is a good thing for me lol. but if you like all these designs thatâs valid and iâm happy for you!! just donât expect to see me praising them, but iâm also not gonna be super negative like this too often either.
for kinda-positives: i actually do really enjoy one single new design though, and itâs genjiâs, but not for any specific reason other than iâm excited that heâs finally wearing clothes lol. i donât feel strongly either way about the design of the clothes themselves (...though i do lowkey agree with the people saying theyâre boring looking, but hey, my man is finally done running around naked everywhere, so iâll take it). and i like tracerâs new glasses and the fact that she ditched the crocs finally!! iâd also like to talk a bit more about meiâs designâa friend of mine is saying people are complaining they slimmed her down, and i havenât seen any of that for myself but if they really are then i uh... donât get that? she still looks just as fat to me?? iâll just let this comment i made in discord as soon i saw the new designs speak for itself:
so yeah, if she is any skinner itâs because of the newly normal-sized coat, because when i look at the models side by side she legit looks the same size to me or maybe a little bit smallerâbut hey, who knows, maybe i truly am just blind! but anyway, if you gave her old hairpin back then iâd honestly have no issue with her new design.
i truly hope the new designs will grow on me more though, especially mercyâs because the feeling of having an appreciation blog for a character you love a lot and not being able to celebrate something like this is a feeling that really sucks, but i... feel very alone in disliking them as much as i do and while iâm glad everyone else is happy iâm sad about that?? at least all the old skins will still be there though, so ultimately i suppose it isnât that big a deal, i just really really hope i donât hate symmetra or hanzoâs redesigns too whenever we see them, assuming that every character is getting these design overhauls.
iâve also had the time to finally watch the gameplay trailer and the cinematic, and you know whatâs one of the things iâve always loved about overwatch? the maps have always been gorgeous, and the ones shown in the OW2 trailer are no exception and i canât wait to fully see them and explore them. the gameplay itself looks solid too imo and i am very excited to see sojourn will be added to the game, sheâs gorgeous and i love her. and the cinematic!! it had so many cute little details, like the ana & baby pharah photo and the birthday photo, and tracer having that picture of emily. and the winston-tracer-mei friendship, getting to see genji and rein being badasses... seeing brigitte and then echo both show up, mercy and mei having that cute little moment, everybody working together and being amazing. the scene between brigitte and tracer that was adorable, the fact that rein made a terrible âice to meet youâ joke the second he was introduced to mei. seeing winston so happy to be able to say that overwatch is back. just... it was cute and cool and fun and i liked it a lot, it reminded me of what made me fall in love with this game in the first place and it made me really excited! i also think that the story shouldâve moved forward like this much sooner and that we shouldâve been getting much more shorts and comics in between, and i also wish that we didnât have to wait until overwatch 2 to get sojourn because we still donât actually have a black woman that we can play as and that really really sucks, but iâm still looking forward to everything as well.
so, in conclusion: i uh... may have mixed feelings about some things but i have to confess that iâve loved overwatch for years, many of the characters are very special to me, and iâm genuinely excited about overwatch 2. i fully intend to start looking into charities that support hong kong as soon as i can because i want to actually do something for them and show that iâm not ignoring whatâs going on over there, but i also wanna buy overwatch 2 whenever itâs released and i feel excited to play it. unfollow or block me for that if you have to but nothing good would come from me being ashamed to say it and i wonât hide it, i definitely hate blizzard but it doesnât remove my love for the world they created. iâm going to donate to hong kong charities and iâm also going to buy overwatch 2 (which probably wonât even come out until 2021 or something), and i feel like giving more to them than i give to blizzard instead of just not doing anything at all is a fair enough way to deal with this issue especially since i am doing my best to boycott them otherwise. and if i play the new OW2 content and it sucks and/or just isnât worth whatever the price is iâll complain about it then, and if/when we see other redesigned characters iâll probably complain about some of them too, but for now i really am excited for the most part!
#again if you need to unfollow or block me for wanting to buy overwatch 2âor even just continuing to post about owâthen fine go ahead#but i genuinely AM gonna find at least 1 reputable charity to donate to to help hong kong and not only will i donate as soon as i can#but once the price for OW2 is announced iâll donate more than that price to HK if help is still needed#bc i really do think that will help more than just making posts about how much blizzard stinks#and i do want to help! and i do also think blizzard stinks! i just wanna help AND also get to play this game#so ANYWAY here are my honest thoughts and you can reblog this but if youâre rude to me youâll be wasting your energy#if i got anything factually wrong about like. whatâs in OW2 or whatever please let me know.

skip first three paras if youâre reading this because of the #pewds tag
remember when i said i wanted to write more diary-ish posts in this blog to improve my communication skills? heh. iâm absolutely terrible at keeping to resolutions, as it turns out. but weâre gonna improve that. new resolution: improve at keeping at resolutions. starting now. so here we are. writing. probably one day i should start like a blog, maybe not tumblr because it doesnât seem like the right medium for it, but like just a straight up actual diary, to collect my daily thoughts and preserve them for future me to laugh at. i used to have an old blog and like when i dug it up it was hilarious. deleted it though because one time i got paranoid about being spied on by hackers and blogger staff.Â
thereâs quite a lot of stuff iâm going through right now that i donât really want to straight up talk about, cuz like, yâknow, itâs like thereâs a very thin lid over the bubbling pressure, and if i just lift that lid everythingâs going to come pouring out, which is not really something i want to be dealing with. this (and next) week are my designated sort-of relax weeks, and i donât want to spoil my mood. so letâs talk about something else.
thereâs actually been like several topics that have been running through my mind lately but iâve been putting off expounding on them because of school so now theyâre all collected and i donât really know which one to start off with, or if anyone even cares to know, or why in the heck i developed entire trains of thought around such inconsequential bullshit in the first place. anyway, letâs just have the least controversial topic.
pewdiepie! LMAO. âhow is this the least controversial thing you have to talk about?!â believe me, it is. itâs not about the recent tragedy or defending him or putting him down, really. itâs just - well, he says a few times in his videos he doesnât understand how the heck he got to no. 1 (no. 2 now technically T series passed him a while, but, yâknow, whatever, heâs the no. 1 individual channel) and that kinda got me thinking as well, like, yeah, why am i watching his channel? itâs actually a bit sad to me because no one else i know is a huge poods fan so like thereâs nobody else to discuss the videos with, which is strange considering the 94mil subs. the people that i *do* know who are into youtube are mostly into markiplier or cryaotic (canât spell his name right) or jacksepticeye. so like even though, lol, iâm technically in the bigger fanbase, i donât have anyone else to talk about it to? and so that makes me wonder like, yes, why am i specifically drawn to pewdiepie? whatâs the particular appeal that made me sub to him and not the others? because i have watched the others, but somehow i always end up coming back to pewdsâ channel.
the reason iâve come up with is that....pewds is just more relatable, to me, personally. feel like i gotta say this at this point because on the internet people are liable to take you out of context or whatever: iâm not by any means saying that this is the recipe for success or that anyone should change their video style and itâs certainly not a critique of other youtubers - theyâre all great in their own ways - iâm just saying, personally, what i like. he just feels more - more of like, a real person? to me? i donât know how to explain this. itâs like, when i watch his videos, it just feels like yâknow, if i met him we could be really good friends, sit down and have a sandwich together and chat about inane stuff, whereas the other youtubers feel more like.....movie stars? i guess that is what iâd call it? like more unreachable, more distant. like if you met them you couldnât just chill and shoot the shit, youâd have to catch a glimpse while they walk past being swarmed by a whole bunch of bodyguards.Â
cry is easier to explain, so iâll just go with him first. he doesnât show his face. LOL. iâm not saying he should, god knows if i ever got on youtube the last thing iâd show is my face, but like when watching the lets plays, i prefer felixâs over cryâs because yâknow, i can see him. i can see that thereâs a real dude there, sharing the experience and reacting along with me. and that makes it feel more comfy, somehow. also cryâs voice is like, the hot-guy voice. which is liable to get you throngs of screaming fangirls, but to me, it just makes him feel more - far away. like the kind of super-cool person that never makes a fool of themselves. which is not a person i can be friends with, because iâd feel intimidated by their perfection xD so yeah, pewds >> cry, because he feels friendlier and more relatable.
markiplier is the really popular one amongst the people i know and i guess why i prefer pewds to him is harder for me to explain because he does show his face and doesnât have a sexy voice so whatâs the problem? idk, i feel like mark....is too intellectual for me xD âbut fal, pewds literally just reviewed the fucking republic!â âalso, are you saying you like pewds cuz heâs dumb?!â no, itâs not - itâs the difference between highbrow and lowbrow intellectual, yâknow? not that iâm saying mark is a snooty stuck up stick in the ass, but - just the difference in the way they talk, like.....literature professor vs thug notes, which is a really great series that i also highly recommend. like, felix understands, but he doesnât speak fancy, which is also a thing that i appreciate. again, iâm not saying everyone should change their way of speaking, like, formal highbrow intellectual is also great and some people like that, evidently, but just, personally, again, pewds is easier to relate to because he talks simply. it really makes it feel like youâre just chillinâ with a pal when youâre watching his videos. even though you canât technically respond. but thatâs okay. itâs like companionable silence xD whereas for me watching mark is like watching a very - scripted production, or like just listening to someone too smart for me, which is just like, âyeah, okay, iâm gonna feel self-conscious if i try to talk to youâ. i mean, the dude actually analysed the gameplay of freakinâ getting over it xD which is like, woah, you care about the physics of this thing?? whereas pewds just.....well.
âgorgonzola! everybody gets a little bit of gorgonzola!â
i think, probably, i am by no means a psychologist or psychiatrist, nor do i wholly believe in the veracity of the mbti, but i feel also like one of the things that draws me to pewds, especially now, is that i think, i think, we have quite similar personalities. i watched his mbti video, and before he was even halfway done i already knew he was going to get ISTJ because like our thought processes are so similar. (except iâm a little more reserved than him, obviously, hence the lack of a youtube channel) again, mbti isnât like the most - accurate thing in the universe, but throughout all his other videos (and there are a lot) i feel like we have a lot in common. let me try to explain it in coherent terms. thereâs the - pigheaded stubbornness - i think the getting over it playlist sums it up pretty well xD and like the uh, while we have a brain, we tend not to use it generally when solving problems, instead opting to just power through it, (again, the getting over it playlist) instead of analysing why the fuck we went wrong, just try to bulldoze the problem xDD and then thereâs the urge to keep up the âeverythingâs fineâ face. yeah, i know he did a video about forced positivity and said heâs not faking it anymore, but thatâs a different thing, iâm not talking about faking happiness, iâm talking about - well, not exactly faking, but just sort of like - you just donât want to admit to the actual extent of your feelings, and feel uncomfortable using, idk, is there a term for it? iâm gonna coin one - âemotion-centricâ language. like, you never hear him say stuff like âi need to take a mental health dayâ or something like that, like the kind of âjust using that language makes me feel weak and vulnerable and i donât like thatâ kind of feeling - donât take this as truth, by the way, thatâs just the vibe i get, i could be projecting, because thatâs an issue i have. iâm just gonna - leave it at that because iâm worried the more i talk the more bullshit itâs going to be and itâs just going to be me projecting my issues onto him and itâs not actually true and then people will take it all out of context and run weird articles - lmao.
anyway. this post went on for wayyy longer than i thought it would and thereâs other stuff i wanna talk about too so letâs wrap this up. pewds, if you scroll the tag and find this, i - well, i honestly have no idea what to say xD. tell me if i got shit wrong, i guess, and if youâre ever in singapore or iâm ever in brighton letâs grab a macs and chill i guess? xDDD i also want to pet the pugs, theyâre so cute.

ER Clinicals
My 6th semester started off with 1 week of ER postings. This was my favorite place Iâve done clinicals in so far aside from ICU. I absolutely loved how fast paced it was and how things were so different every day. I was also able to complete the week with no burnout haha. All the nurses were super nice, and there were also some very nice doctors I got to talk to.Â
The first 2 days of clinicals were a bit quiet, which I guess was a good thing because I was able to get used to the place before the chaos began. The third day was extremely hectic. My mentor was allocated to the red zone, which didnât have any patients so we were helping out around the place. And then suddenly, the patients just started coming in one by one and all the beds got filled and we had to place extra beds in the middle of other beds and, well, it was just extremely chaotic. I didnât know how the time passed.
I was able to practice a lot of skills here, though not as much as I wanted to. During the busy days, I couldnât bring myself to ask my mentor to let me do things like blood draws and IV cannulations because I felt like Iâd be wasting her time. My mentor was extremely nice, though, and she taught me a whole bunch of new stuff. I did do a lot of blood draws, and I DID MY FIRST EVER IV CANULATION HERE. It was successful, and it was a size 18 canula too! The patient had really nice veins, honestly.Â
The thing I got the most practice was ECGs, because we did ECGs for almost all the patients that came in. It came to a point where the nurses were so busy that they sent me alone to do ECGs on multiple patients. This made me realize how much Iâve actually grown since the beginning of nursing school, because back then, the nurses would send me only to do vital signs on patients. Now theyâre sending me to do more complex stuff like ECGs, and I love it so much.Â
I am still having trouble with taking report and knowing the information about all the patients weâre assigned to. My mentor let me take complete care of one patient each day, but I did take report of multiple patients as practice. Itâs extremely hard, but Iâm learning and improving everyday. I plan to keep a more organized report sheet instead of messily scribbling everything on a random piece of paper.
ER was also nice because we get a lot of âteaâ from working there lol. Since itâs the first place patients are brought to from major incidences, we get to see the patients they write news articles about. For instance, there was a patient who was brought unresponsive and he passed away. He ended up being covid positive later, so that made headlines as it was another death in the country due to covid. Luckily, Iâd gone for break when he was brought to the ER so I have a lower chance of getting covid. However, I was kinda bummed that I didnât get to see and help with CPR. There were also a lot of psychiatric patients, which was extremely sad because it really makes you see the terrible side of the world, with there being so many of them, and the things these poor people have had to go through.
All in all, I really enjoy critical care, and if I didnât get to work in an ICU, the ER would definitely be my second choice as of now.

Star Trek Discovery: ep 2
Okay, I absolutely adored the premiere, which I liveblogged Sunday night. But Iâve been feeling rotten and groggy and didnât watch episode 2 until tonight.Â
Iâm kind of glad I waited.
Iâm transcribing remarks I made to a friend in a private chatroom while watching, and then Iâve added some thoughts afterwards.
SPOILERS.
Ep 2.
Raw remarks transcribed from private chat while watching (slightly edited)
So, our cliffhanger ended with Michael committing mutiny trying to save them, her captain betrayed and pointing a gun at her, and a whole Klingon fleet warping in like several buckets of shit flying towards a fan.
Iâm still trying to get used to Sarek being nicer to a human trying to Vulcan than he was to a son whom he practically disowned for leaving Vulcan to join Starfleet. But I love Sarek so will try to muffle the "buts." I want Amanda to show up.
Parting word to Michael: "Behave." On the bright side, seems like it took her seven years before she LOL NOPED.
I hope the Klingon fans are happy. This is a very ponderous language to listen to when it's whole scenes of dialog and not just quick commands or insults. But I know there's a whole branch of fans who embrace Klingon culture and language, and I hope they're as thrilled as I was to hear Sindarin Elvish spoken. Â (And that they're not too perturbed that the Klingon look has mutated again.)
Oh SHIT. I know the Captain was trying to defuse situation with diplomacy, but did they not have their shields up? Or was this just an old ship and/or Klingons managed to puncture shields. Ouch ouch ouch.
Wow, Michael is not having a good day. Waking up in remains of brig with failing containment fields around her â whole sequence is impressive and sad.
I like the way they're employing FX in service to story. It's hard not to let CGI overwhelm. But here, no matter how spectacular FX are, they're functional, rather than an end to themselves: like incidental music the Big FX moments help set mood/tone and give audience catch breath to process what just happened. As opposed to only using FX to foster one mood, maximum adrenaline, and keep audience off-balance so they have no time to catch breath and reflect on situation.
Intense telepathic scene with Sarek. Man he really likes this kid. He is one crazy ass Vulcan, even if he won't admit it: sharing a katra with a near stranger, especially a human child, is pretty drastic. (Also I'm confused: thought he adopted her after parents died in attack, but it looks like Michael was already his ward during attack?
ARGH.
Sarek: "I did not come here to judge your actions. I came here toâ"
*Pumpkin, who likes to snooze on desk next to keyboard and occasionally use it as pillow at inconvenient moments, carefully and deliberately stretches out paw and plants it over ESC key, backing up browser window to several URLs ago, losing livestream.*
Cats. Such exquisite timing.
Back online.
Okay yes [STC sounded slightly noncommittal when I was enthusing about restraint of FX] now they're getting a little show-offy. But yikes. First time I've ever seen a space battle using classical Greek naval warfare maneuver. Trireme beak-ram!
...although it could be coincidence, and I'm reading it that way because of my classical studies background. They might've come up with that unusual and dramatic visual independently. At any rate, impressive.
OOOOO. Just hit scene where Captain, out of options, sees Klingons beaming up their dead, and she sees option. Â I've been kind of waiting for her to be proactive instead of reactive. Earlier her hands were tied by trying to avoid conflict (following orders).
...DAMMIT. Just Googled to find out spelling of Phillipa's last name and saw the kind of spoiler I really hate to see. Stupid, stupid me. Â I really honestly didn't know, since I had been so strenuously avoiding behind-the-scenes stuff.Â
â
[At this point I stopped babbling in the chatroom to watch final scenes, so rest is post-watch thoughts.]
At least we have one great sequence between Burnham and Captain Georgiou, although the lull to confront one another and devise a strategy was a little forcedâ Klingons being very polite about not finishing them off. And YES, YES YES, finally seeing Michelle Yeoh fighting, which believe it or not I never have. (I don't watch many films or really much media.)Â
:( Ouch. So close. Just a second or two longer.
So that's that. Man, that's gotta be a record even for Trek; can't even get through two eps without ship's destruction and crew evacuation. (Mom and I used to get annoyed at destroying Enterprise for shock value; first time was so dramatic and meaningful, whereas repeat felt gimmicky.)Â
Not sure Michael's Expository Speech is did her any favors at this trial, but at least now we hear what she thinks.
Teaser for next episode (or "real" Discovery show) follows. Kinda confusing that they're convicts but on a Federation ship? Or did she get transferred from prison?
I am still mourning the captain and really not in the mood to parse the trailer. DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. I was wary of this show, but after watching Ep 1 I let my guard down and was SO EXCITED.
I had seen one article about this series last spring showing what looked like a predominantly white-dude bridge with generic-looking white male captain and a few tokens, just like TOS. That had dampened my enthusiasm for this show and prevented me from getting into it or looking forward to it.
But recently I saw posts saying, "Yo, WOC captain and first officer!" (or rather, in Tumblr's usual WE MUST MAKE YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR NOT SUPPORTING THIS THING YOU WERENâT AWARE OF, SHAME ON YOU!!! way, there was a post berating Tumblr for lack of photosets and buzz and excitement over Michelle Yeoh and Sonequa Martin-Green, and why weren't we getting behind WOCs when we'd been all excited for Gal Gadot?) And I thought, Waitâwhat?! I thought this was going to be generic white dude captain with token black female first officer which is okay but not ANYTHING LIKE as cool as what you're saying?
And since I do try to avoid spoilers and PR I didn't know Yeoh wasn't going to be the regular series captain. Or rather, I was confused why the hype I was seeing now differed so drastically from that one article Iâd started to skim and then closed thinking, âNah, Iâm going to avoid spoilers.â Had the showrunners changed their minds and decided to bring in Michelle Yeoh as an upgrade after seeing their version of Captain Pike wasnât good enough to anchor a series?I was just going to wait and see.
I forgot any doubts when Episode 1 gave me EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED: Two great female characters with a friendship and professional working relationship. Banter. Excellence. Skills and wits. Clunky TOS tech and new shiny bridge set. Smart captain. Brave first officer. With two WOC they couldn't be tokens; they had to be expanded as just... 3 dimensional characters.
I was so here for that. I loved that whole opening minisode, and also the Captain sending Michael off to play in a brief voyage of discovery and enjoying that her first officer was enjoying herself.
Their friendship was perfect, legendary Kirk and Spock material. It was distracting me from the other bridge crewâ even Saru, who is an interesting character, but I was focused so much on these two womenâ but I figured other characters would get filled out in subsequent episodes.
And now?
"Here. Here's what you really wanted. Two women being superbly competent officers with a meaningful friendship, leading a show just the way Kirk and Spock did. And it's going to be about discovery and an older woman mentoring another one, and tackling difficult ethical problems without providing easy answers andâ PSYCHE!Â
â...FOOLED YOU! Two leading women in a Kirk-Spock dynamic? Oh, we could never do that. So we're killing off your already-favorite character. As consolation prize, here, have an incarcerated and demoralized WOC who has to be 'grateful' to a white dude for letting her out of jail. Power imbalance between her and captain, no close friendship, and oh yeah, instead of voyage-of-discovery and complicated-ethical-problems Star Trek, it's going to be various people being macho and angry, and a depressing Federation-Klingon War."
 I hope I'm wrong.
It feels like they gave me everything I'd hoped for and more, and then, once I'd let my guard down, they took it away. I'm left with a character and actor (Sonequa Martin-Green) I like enough that I'm going to watch anyway...for now. But I'm back to being wary. And here we have yet another WOC/minority being killed to make way for generic white dude. So now I'm disillusioned and wonât trust this show, and we're only at the end of ep 2.
Okay, yeah, I'm pissed.Â
Discovery could redeem itself and turn out to be fantastic. There is a lot of potential here and a lot to like. Saru and Burnham are good characters, and I assume some of the others will be too. But they're going to have to pull off a miracle now to keep me from fantasizing about the better show that COULD HAVE BEEN.
ETA: so maybe I should have read the behind-the-scenes stuff beforehand so Iâd be prepared for this premiere to be backstory, in effect. I guess everyone else knew her death was coming, and could appreciate the drama while anticipating this would be a tragedy. Either Iâm naive, or too groggy/tired to pick up the Obi-Wan vibes.

#29: Season 2, Episode 18 -Â âThe Thomas Gribalski Affairâ
Tom starts bonding with Steve and Louis quickly starts to become extremely jealous of their relationship. Meanwhile, Ren volunteers to lead the school bike safety demonstration even though she doesn't know how to ride a bike.
This one starts with Louis and Twitty at the Stevens house playing âStinky Sock Ballâ â some ridiculous game they created with a bunch of nonsense rules. I donât even know. Tom is over and sitting the game out. âPass. The last time I played Stinky Sock Ball I got a concussion. Itâs been six months and Iâm still a little woozy.â Gotta love Tom. This episode has his name in the title (a play on the film The Thomas Crown Affair Iâm assuming), so ya know itâs gonna be good. Just then, Steve comes waltzing in super excited about this leprechaun whittling kit that came in the mail. He had plans to carve out the block with Louis, but of course.. Louis would rather play Stinky Sock Ball. Priorities. Tom seems interested in the weird hobby, so Louis suggests that the two of them hang out instead. Little did he know that one small decision would send him spiraling into jealous insanity. Iâd also like to mention that the leprechaunâs name is âMcStinker, The Town Drinker.â Okay, Disney Channel.
Next, we cut to Wexlerâs office for the subplot. Ren and Larry are competing against each other once again. Wexler is looking for a student to lead the next safety demonstration and theyâre both desperate to be selected. There are a bunch of other students there who are also willing to volunteer until Wexler says theyâd have to give up a Saturday. Literally everyone leaves except for Ren and Larry. As an adult, this just makes me laugh tbh. One little Saturday in your Junior High career means nothing in the grand scheme of life. But, god forbid! We all need that precious Saturday to do.... nothing... instead.Â
Wexler picks Ren by default and doesnât even consider Larry, which is totally not playing favorites at all. We learn that the demonstration is going to be for bike safety, thanks to Louis and Twitty running Wexler over because they were too preoccupied with eating chips and salsa.Â
Are these screenshots fantastic or are they fantastic? Iâll wait.Â
Ren is definitely apprehensive about leading the demonstration now and we donât know why. She clearly doesnât want to do it anymore, but the thought of Larry getting the gig instead motivates her.Â
At lunch that day, Louis and Twitty are playing yet another ridiculous and frankly freakinâ [Raven voice] NASTY game called âExtreme Meat Hoopsâ where they catch extra gooey meatballs that drip from the ceiling. Who thinks of this stuff?! HONESTLY. Tawny is disgusted as usual.Â
This literally looks......... awful.Â
Tom joins them at their table, ranting and raving about the funniest joke his friend Steve told him. When Louis questions who the heck Steve is, Tom says âSteve Stevens is the real dealâ which is such a great line I canât even explain it. Louis being Louis takes a minute to register that Steve Stevens is his dadâs name lol. He finds out that Tom and his dad have been hanging out a lot. In fact, theyâve been hanging out so much that Steve gave Tom his direct phone line to reach him at work. Louis didnât even know Steve had a direct line, haha. Itâs actually kinda sad. We start to see Louisâ jealousy emerge here.Â
At home, Eileen absolutely hates the newly-carved leprechaun. Steve wants her to find a prominent place for the thing, but it looks like a total eyesore everywhere she puts it. This reminds me of Lizzie McGuire and her dadâs obsession with lawn gnomes. This montage actually makes me laugh. Itâs set to upbeat Irish-y stock music which contrasts Eileenâs distaste perfectly lol. Ren walks in and goes to Eileen for help with the bike demonstration. We learn that she was too embarrassed to tell Wexler she doesnât know how to ride a bike. Whooop, there it is. Eileen promises to help teach her.Â
Ren in a crop top?! Why does this seem so... out of character? I noticed this before in Swap.com. Idk. To be fair, it was 2001. Showing your bellybutton was ~all the rage.~ God help me. Also, Renâs shirt is purple-y once again and sheâll pretty much wear anything if itâs purple so.Â
Louis and Twitty are hanging out by some lake and Louis starts reminiscing about how he and Steve used to ride the paddle boats together when he was little. He says they used to sing this cheesy father-son song and âI can almost hear it now......... I CAN hear it now!â Lo and behold, Tom and Steve are riding in a paddle boat singing said cheesy father-son song. Louisâ jealousy has hit a new level.Â
This would be a little much. If I saw my mom doing such personal things with one of my friends I would literally be so concerned??? Like, what the heck Mom?! Itâs just weird.Â
Immediately following this, Louis invites Tawny over for one of their little therapy sessions, lol. I love how this is something weâve seen a few times throughout the series -- Whether itâs a serious talk like this or just Louis going to Tawny for advice. Like Iâve said before, he values her opinion A LOT which is lovely. This scene always stood out to me because they completely cleared out Louisâ room to look like a clean, cold therapistâs office or something. This is one of the only times it doesnât look like a tornado ripped through it:Â
His bed looks sooo much smaller when itâs made? I couldâve sworn he had a full bed this whole time lol.Â
He tells her that everything went downhill when he was 5 and pushed Steve out of a paddle boat:
They gave Steve a curly brown mullet in this flashback. Itâs wonderful.Â
Tawny says the symbolism is obvious: Louis has been pushing his father away forever. She suggests taking an interest in something Steve likes to do.Â
Next we cut to a montage of Renâs bike riding lesson with Eileen. Sheâs literally terrible at it. They make a point to keep these random fencers in the shot. Like, really.. who goes to the park to fence? Iâve personally never seen that before but ok. I also just need to include this accidental screen cap of Ren about to fall because itâs great.Â
Ren and Eileen leave the park after a day of failing miserably, and one of the fencers enters the frame and takes off their mask............. plot twist look who it is:
Itâs Larry Beale smiling maniacally because he thinks he has tea to spill about Ren being bikely challenged.Â
Now we move on to what is probably the best sequence in the episode. Steve is out golfing and Louis surprises him by showing up at the course! Heâs so excited to spend one-on-one time bonding with Steve the way Tom has been lately, until Steve asks âWould you like to join us? Me and Tom!â And Tom shows up in his ~golfing threads~ which look ridiculous. (Cover image) There are so many fantastic lines from this point on. Kicking off with Tom saying âSay, Mr. Lou! I didnât know you were a duffer.â And Louis gets SO OFFENDED. Iâm assuming he thought Tom was swearing at him or something lol I canât. Well, technically.. he mightâve been. Steve claims that duffer is just another word for a golfer. Out of curiosity I decided to google it to see for myself and well:
Itâs not another word for anyâol golfer -- but rather a golfer that doesnât know what the hell theyâre doing. It means stupid too, so. There are also articles debating whether or not the term is offensive in the golf world.Â
Of course, Louis sucks at golf and hates the sport, but heâs trying so hard to win Steve over! The nail in the coffin is Steve casually calling Tom âson.â Yikes. Louis is at a loss for words at this point.Â
The next bit is one of my favorite moments in THE ENTIRE SERIES. I have to embed the scene.Â
youtube
From the opening lines between Louis and Steve, to âbend your kneesâ to Louisâ face at the very end. This is all gold.Â
Before the demonstration, Larry tries to intimidate Ren by dropping hints that he knows her secret. But, Ren takes the high road and says she has nothing to be ashamed of. I love when characters do this! Never let anyone make you feel inferior. So Ren comes rolling up with training wheels and says âThe first rule of bike safety is if you donât know how to ride a bike, use training wheels.â YAAAASSSS, GIRL. Larry gets on the mic and tries to turn it into a giant embarrassing scene, but it just doesnât work when the person youâre trying to embarrass isnât embarrassed at all lol. Ren is totally owning the situation and itâs great. Larry just looks like a fool up there beating the dead horse âTHE GIRL NEEDS TRAINING WHEELS!!!!!!!!!âÂ
She rides the bike through the obstacles, training wheels and all, and everyone roots for her! Yay.
Things get emotional back at the golf course. Louis finally hits the ball and itâs pretty incredible. Heâs so excited and runs over to Steve and Tom like âDad!! Did you see that?! I hit it in from way over there!!â and of course, Steve is all âSorry, Son. I missed it.â You can just feeeeel Louisâ spirit deflating. This is the last straw for him. He starts ranting âYou know what, Tom? I give up. You win.â Itâs so sad oh my god. You can hear the heartbreak in his voice. Shia is so great, god. He basically starts handing his entire life over to Tom. Dang. Side note: Shia takes off his visor which made his hair stick up. He looks so different. I remember thinking he looked so cute like that hahaha.Â
Steve catches on and Tom decides to give them some space. âYou two should talk. I know how my mother must feel. I canceled 3 games of Pinochle with her this week... Iâve got some fences to mend.â Tom is seriously the best. Obviously, Louis and Steve make up. It ends with the two of them playing Stinky Sock Ball together. Itâs sweet.Â
I really like this episode. A lot. Yâall know I love Tom, so I had to rank this one a little higher just because he deserves some more love. But aside from that, this is a really good plot. Itâs great to see how much Louis actually cares about his relationship with his father and how they eventually end up bonding a little bit more. I also like Renâs plot here as well! Itâs a nice stick to your guns sort of message that you can apply to anything really. There are honestly no specific reasons why I like this one so much... I just do lol. Itâs a solid episode overall.Â
Well, guys. We made it. Officially at #29. Holy crapoli. Soon weâll be at 25, and then 20, and then 15, and then 10............ you know how a countdown works. I just canât believe how little we have left to go. I got all emotional about it here because Iâve also been running this blog for a year now. What the heck.Â
Thanks for reading!

the thing journal, 6.11.2017 - 6.17.2017
capsule reviews of the pop culture i took in last week. this week: venice, witness, 1989, gilded, punch-drunk love, sucker, bloody bloody andrew jackson, gone now, boomiverse, melodrama, before sunrise, pinata, whiplash
1) Venice, by Anderson .Paak: Paak might be really close to Greatest Living Songwriter status. Like, Malibu and Yes Lawd! are both undeniable classics, but this is ALSO so solid, solid enough that I feel like, if we get someone in the room with Paak to say, "Hey, dude, maybe don't put a bad butt pun in this one?" Paak could be running the world. Every second of this album is wonderful. Like, .Paak makes songs that make an indoor kid like me wish he was at the beach, that's like the only thing I can say about this album. .Paak' great. I don't have enough words to describe what makes him great.
2) Witness, by Benjamin Booker: ...So, this is the last thing I'm writing? And this was a nice, bluesy rock album that made a Sunday morning slightly doper. I liked it, it was nice, listen to it if you like nice rock albums.
3) 1989, by Tay Tay: I sure do have a lot to say about this album that wasn't said two and a half years ago! I liked it. The first five songs are as good as any five songs on any album that's ever been, and then the rest of this album... Exists? Like there's no way I'm going to call an album with "Shake it Off" and "Bad Blood" on it a classic, and after hearing Lana del Rey songs I can't get behind the Lana del Rey impression that is "Wildest Dreams," like it was already an enh song but knowing it was ripping off an enh thing gives it a firm "no," but any album with "Style" and "Blank Space" and "Style" deserves plaudits, and the album does pick up with the last two tracks, which are up there with the first five tracks as the best stuff Tay Tay has ever done. End of the day, though, To Pimp a Butterfly still should have won Album of the Year, and if at the end of 2014 Catch-Up 1989 is still in the top ten for 2014 (#9 as I write this), I'd be stunned.
4) Gilded, by Jade Jackson: This? was somehow recommended to me by Amazon because I enjoy the music of Paramore. I cannot claim to have heard the Paramore in this. I heard a pretty decent if slow-moving country album! That was a fun surprise! One of my favorite things about country music in 2017 is how, like, we typically associate rebellion with punk and rap, y'know? Loud music that moves fast and is always shouting. And rebellion in country is sitting with just an acoustic guitar and singing sad songs about small towns. Like, a lot of country music is about what a small town home town dirt road party it is to be in the sticks, so the outlaws have to slow it down and reflect on whether they're truly happy where they are. So like, this album has incredibly little in common with Paramore from a music standpoint, but they share an attitude which has to manifest itself differently because of their respective genres. Basically, I'm incredibly down with this album.
5) Punch-Drunk Love, dir. Paul Thomas Anderson: hey. hey guys. did you guys know about this paul thomas anderson dude. he's pretty great. like, everything about that scene where he asks the woman out, the warehouse collapsing, the calls from the phone sex scammer, his sister haranguing him, the woman not knowing how to respond to this, him clearly not knowing how to handle the situation, the pudding the so much pudding, the score building as everything falls apart, it's so fucking good. i remember, when i was 12, this movie had like two whole shelves at hollywood video, and when my dad and my family were looking at this movie, we were like "we love little nicky! but this might be more serious? and poor innocent caralin," and i just, i wonder what a younger me would have thought about this film. i wonder how i would have reacted to this, if we actually had pulled the trigger on punch-drunk love before i was anywhere near ready to handle it.
6) Sucker, by Charli XCX: hahaha i need to do theme weeks or something like i'm supposed to think about a paul thomas anderson joint and then try to come up with a decent opinion about a fine, just a tich below great pop album. i should've eased myself into this, it should've gone punch drunk love, the kimbra album i added to provide the bridge from film master class to pop, and THEN charli xcx. i mean, i enjoyed this a lot, i had a solid, solid bus ride, but like i just need to structure the sequencing of thing journal better. like, maybe don't put the slap-hitting second baseman after the cleanup hitter, but the jason kubel type in the fifth spot, the chunky dude who kinda sucks at baseball but hits dingers more often than not. gotta think about my lineup, guys!
7) Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, wr. Michael Friedman: Well, this was good stupid fun. I think "Ten Little Indians" is a standout track, so clear a standout that it honestly belongs in a better work. It's a distillation of Native American history that doesn't seem to have any place in a musical recasting one of the shittiest presidents as a vain, morose emokid rock star, but then again, I listen to soundtracks and don't watch the shows, so fuck do I know about context. So, yeah, I dug "Ten Little Indians," and then everything else was fine and silly and took itself just unseriously that it never felt like American Psycho. Theatre in general isn't a good home for irony, but at least here, the sarcasm wasn't subtle, it was waving a giant flag the whole time saying "THIS IS DEF JOKES."
8) Gone Now, by Bleachers 9) Melodrama, by Lorde See, if I were a decent listener, I might have tried following up Gone Now with Melodrama. These reviews aren't being indexed in chronological order; I listened to Boomiverse before I gave Melodrama a spin, and looking back, I should've saved Gone Now for Friday to do a Jack Antonoff Power Block. I wonder if my opinion on these albums is colored by the interview I read where Jack Antonoff says he originally imagines all his songs for female voices, he writes his songs for women, then pitches them an octace down should they become Bleachers songs. And I found both Strange Desire and Gone Now to not really resonate with me, neither album really hitting me in the way an entity such as Bleachers should hit me. Bleachers is fun, '80s-inspired pop music -- I love that! But there's this weird disconnect I feel between the voice and the music, and I can't tell if that's a conclusion I arrived at on my own or if it was informed by that article, because while I didn't like Gone Now, I really loved Melodrama. Lorde and Antonoff work perfectly together, her voice gives life to a lot of things I heard but wasn't enthralled by on Gone Now, and they had a vision for this album -- songs have part twos! There's a reprise! ("Liability" is DOPE in the context of this album, y'all) -- which they executed sublimely. It's a complete, cohesive album that feels so much bigger than 11 songs, so full of weird ideas, and while I'm not sure how the mainstream is gonna react, I thought this was dope as hell, "dope as hell" being the highest praise my limited vocabulary has to offer.
10) Boomiverse, by Big Boi: One benefit of being just a dude on tumblr chronicling his experiences is that I didn't have to listen to and write a thinkpiece about a 70-minute Lil Yachty album. I only have to experience Lil Yachty through his features on other people's songs, do not have to contend with the totality of his vision. But, it is disappointing that professional music people DO have to write extended thinkpieces about Lil Yachty, when those words and thoughts and energies would have been far better spent on this album. This album is just good. There's no frills, minimal use of the obligatory Atlanta trap beat, clever rhymes, only occasional misogyny, and maybe the most jubilant rap track of 2017, "All Night." I honestly can't remember the last time I heard a hip-hop joint as joyous as "All Night." So much of my favorite hip-hop of the last few years hasn't been happy, and not even the justifiable "shit's fucked up" unhappy, the "sadness is the only valiid emotion" unhappy, and "All Night" is a statement that darkness is nothing without light.
11) Before Sunrise, dir. Richard Linklater: "Hey! I've been up since 1 AM, and it is presently 4:30! I'm going to put on this quet movie about a quiet night in Vienna so I can watch Before Sunrise before sunrise, LOL!" Yeah so I fell asleep during this one, team. Not long enough to feel like I missed a lot, not long enough for this film to lose its impact, but enough to feel like I failed this film. What I was able to see was great. It was like someone shot a podcast in Vienna, and that sounds like an insult, but I'm into movies that are just two people talking to each other, and I'd be into a podcast where two strangers try to fall in love in two hours, two people bullshitting about love and relationships and the future while wondering if they could be happy with the other person outside of the podcast. It didn't feel at all tempered knowing there's a sequel in the queue. Like, knowing these two people see each other again is disappointing, only in the sense that I don't get to live with the ending for 10 years before learning about the sequel, but at the same time, the characters don't know they're going to see each other again, and that last goodbye at the train is so heart-wrenching, the way she disappears behind the wall and the guy just follows her, trying to stay as close to her as possible.
12) Pinata, by Freddie Gibbs & Madlib: I will let nature review this album for me: I live in a garden level apartment, and outside my bedroom window, where I stationed my new computer, there's a bucket beneath the gutter in which water rests. Squirrels will occasionally come through, take a sip, and bounce. But as I was listening to this album, I saw that the squirrel was lingering outside my window. I assumed it was responding well to the vibrations created by Freddie Gibbs' pleasant, deep-voiced flow and the low-key production, and that it was enjoying the things it was feeling. This is music squirrels can enjoy, man, what more do you want. And then a Danny Brown feature came on, and that squirrel RAN, man. Like, I get it? I wouldn't expect a squirrel to respond well to Danny Brown, but I still feel that squirrel is missing out.
13) Whiplash, dir. Damien Chazelle: When I listen to music, I've found I connect to the drumming more than anything but the lyrics. Part of the reason I still listen to pop/punk is because literally every single pop/punk drummer is amazing, drumming so so fast every time. I also watch sports and speedrun streams, and one of the things that fascinates me is the maniacal drive to be great, this obsessive need to push yourself to some limit most would find unnecessary. So of COURSE I'm into a film which would marry the two, and which had the performance of a lifetime from JK Simmons, JK Simmons deserving all the plaudits he got for playing Malcom Tucker's long-lost American twin. I think Miles Teller was cat perfectly for the scenes where he's with JK Simmons, an arrogant nothing-boy who can convey talent and cluelessness, but Miles Teller is such a zero that the scenes with his family and girlfriend, where we're supposed to say "no nice boy don't isolate yourself from your loved ones to drum so good," just felt like "god shut the fuck up you whiny jerk." The film also didn't really address a couple of questions I thought might be relevant to the JK Simmons character. Does music still retain its meaning if you obsess over it to the extent that Fletcher does, do people still respond to his performances on an emotional level, or do they appreciate it on a purely technical level? There's that dinner scene, where someone in Miles Teller's family asks, "How can you have a music competition? Isn't it subjective?" and Miles Teller says, "No," but it never explores the idea of what chasing the parts of music which can be judged objective does to the music. The other question is, what right does Fletcher have to the next Charlie Parker? How does this white dude think he can own jazz? But I've spent more words finding what's problematic about the film than I did on what I liked, which is usually the sign of a great film, one I wanted to spend a lot of words thinking about.

about this generation being over sensitive
aight, i dont really just voice my opinion anytime i feel like it but honestly iâm fed up. I used to like, be one of those SJWâs and go like hey this is wrong and this is wrong and this is wrong. Most of them were wrong tbh, and i totally get the thing about ânormalizingâ. We shouldnt normalize hate, we shouldnt normalize discrimination and we shouldnt normalize anything negative, ever.
But i feel like, after a couple of years being exposed to nothing but negativity iâm finally #sick and #tired of it. I understand it by the way, why we have to call something out if itâs wrong cause this is how we fix things but i feel like recently the world is becoming a little bit too sensitive.
I realized this with the whole controversy about Pewdiepie and Gigi Hadid and everything. Especially Pewdiepie.Â
Like i dont even live in the US, not from there. Iâm from Turkey, iâm studying advertising. And i wanna pursue my career in digital marketing so this whole thing is gonna be my field. This whole shitstorm is gonna be my audience and iâll try to engage with you. Which frustrates me the most, cause i have to deal with this bullshit.
To start off, i know Pewdiepie did something not-so-okay. I did watch his channel every now and then and i remember telling my boyfriend, âeh, heâs doing whatever he wants lately. Iâm not that into it anymore, he used the N word and stuff.â and i just stopped watching his videos and thats like a buck less for him. I did my part. Iâm not gonna like go online and bash him or anything cause like fine okay he used the n word but the world has some bigger problems right now like the bees are going extinct. For those who dont know he made like.. thereâs this site called Fiverr, you pay them 5 bucks and they do something for ya like this girl does your homework and whatever. Felix payed 2 guys (dont know their nationality) to write âDeath to all jews, subscribe to markiplierâ on a piece of paper and they did, later he commented on how people do whatever you want them to as long as youre paying them. Which is a good point in my opinion. And the whole point of this shitstorm also.Â
And Wall Street Journal went up to Disney and they like.. snitched. like 5 year olds. i cant this is just too funny. And they took everything out of context, used a random image of him raising his hand and portrayed it as a nazi salute (If ya gonna go there you can find like even jews doing a nazi salute. HELLO COMMON SENSE?) Anyhow, Disney was like yah this is gonna hurt my image as butterflies and rainbows, occasional unicorns and shitty costume designing so cut ties with him or whatever. But there is like 2 sides to every story so i wish they would take a milisecond and contact Felix but fuck that am i right Disney which is the company that displayed Donald Duck in a Nazi outfit so like whats up
And then, this afternoon i spent my entire time reading articles about how Pewdiepie is the source of all evil, how he is summoning satan with a single look and how he is destroying worlds.  He always said mainstream media is hating on him but iâve never realized it was this big of an issue. Jesus they were like vultures. The verge even went as far as comparing him to Donald Trump. Like.. Pewdiepie does a 24 hour live stream to raise like what.. over a milion dollars for charity and its like dead quiet but Wall Street Journal runs out of money so they go like âoh pewdiepie draws money lol ok.. guys hereâs the thing.â Is every news outlet TMZ now? is this it
And i knew tumblr of course would be on fire. Iâm actually glad to see some reasonable people defending pewdiepie because thatâs whatâs right. Some girl here is like âum im jewish and OUT OF ALL WORDS why would you pick death to all jews? like it has been said before. ermigird get my trigger gloves.â Like hello everyone knows itâs not an okay thing to say, thatâs why he used it. To prove a point. Itâs kinda amazing to see how people are hovering 100 miles over the point. good job keep it up everyone itâll get you places in life
The truth is, this kind of all comes back to my major. Newspapers are dying, because noone buys them anymore. They need money to survive as we all do, but we are all on digital surfaces now. But we dont pay for news anymore. so the news outlets are doing everything they can to survive and it gets petty like youâve been seeing these days. Clickbait is a real thing cause itâs not enough if you see their post on Facebook, they need you to go on their website, see the ads so they can get the ad revenue. It keeps the advertisers, advertising and the platforms alive. Scandal always gets you paid. What iâm sad about is as a generation weâre paying these guys. They dont care really, if pewdiepie is racist or not. Which he isnt by the way. Pewdiepie and his growth is so organic. Heâs a goldmine for brands. Verge cant supply content like that, so they kind of shit on whoever does. Iâm saying verge but like mashable, the wired.. verge is the pettiest tho. Business insider was kind of more toned down so kudos to them I GUESS..Â
My point being.. like they see we go crazy about social justice and they see the tiniest thing and they make a big deal out of it. We as a generation shouldnt be these idiotâs income. I refuse to be the reason to put money on some 40 year old idiot who has no sign of a backbone. There are things that matter. Iâm sick of getting butthurt by everything. Yes some feminists are extreme. Denying it will not get you anywhere. We all believe in equality. If you are calling out Pewdiepie, which again i agree he fucked up but it wasnt like a total fuck up you know. So context matters. Just because something happened, doesnt mean we have to make a big deal out of it every time. Wrongdoing should be punished but not to extremes. Dont get offended on behalf of other people. I live in a Muslim country. And dont you dare get offended on my behalf when Trump says something about our religion. Let me speak first. Let me read the context first. Everyone is constantly in panic to defend someone, they just miss a lot of things. So just take time to evaluate before speaking your mind.  About Gigiâs face too.. Like gosh she wasnt trying to actually hurt someone. People are still trying to call Karlie Kloss out after she acknowledged and apologized  LIKE WHAT DO YOU WANT DID YOUR PARENTS NOT LOVE YOU? DO YOU HAVE A LOT OF FREE TIME? PLEASE JUST GET A LIFE. PET A DOG. We should stop bashing people after they acknowledge something was wrong. Like. Chill, seriously. go suck a dick get a life ffs
JERK OFF IDK WHAT RELAXES YOU
dont let people take advantage of you trying to do something rightÂ
