Hello your magical girl story looks really intriguing, the premise feels very creative, the art style is simple but good with its own identity, and the characters seem to be fleshed out with depth, personality, and backstory. In short, I love it, and I do have a few questions.
One: Is the story character driven, story driven, or something else
Two: Is the story rated G, PG, PG-13, or something else
Three: Would the story be a web comic, web show, or something else
Four: Will there be a lot of lore and world building, yes or no
Five: what other inspirations did you have for the story's characters, plot, and art style
Six: What humor do you use for the story
I'm only asking these questions out of curiosity. This is just because I love your story, and would like to know more about.
So please be free to not answer all the questions if you want. I'm also fine if you ignore this ask. so please, no pressure.
At the end of the day, please have fun, relax, work hard, take your time, and have a nice day.
I'm so glad! Thanks so much for your interest <3
Character driven (always)
PG/PG-13
Dunno! I've been reached out to already for a few opportunities but right now, I'm just trying to have fun with it and keep it mine until I feel like the idea is fully realized and ready for something bigger. Right now, I'm shooting to make a lil pilot animatic mostly on my own with help from a few friends
Depends on what you mean by a lot but I'd say a soft yes
For Aika, just generally other anime protagonists from shoujo and shonen. I feel like when you're doing a spin on something you do have to rely on the tropes from the genre at least a little bit. For Zira, Toko Fukawa was the jumping off point but they're very different. They're also both based off of aspects of myself (I feel like most artists do this with their ocs tho). Style and story-wise, I was definitely looking at Doremi and Panty&Stocking. That chunky cute look that's distinctly anime but takes some notes from Western cartoons. But mine's flipped where it's more based on my own style from working in Western animation but then having anime influence. And story-wise I like how they're more episodic with an underlying story. The magical girl stuff is more a backdrop that helps the story move forward and enhances the slice of life stuff that's being focused on.
I'm not sure what kind of humor to say other than my own? But my sense of humor has been shaped by Big City Greens (obviously) Adventure Time, Jimmy Neutron, Bob's Burgers, Smiling Friends and many other things but hopefully that gives you the gist

How do you think Asuka's and Aria's friendship was like when she was alive?
This is a really hard question. I keep sitting down to write this and deleting everything because I'm not satisfied with the answer I can provide. The problem is me because I've realized I'm not sure how to describe any friendship, let alone one so vaguely developed in the source material... However. I will try. This is all kind of speculation based on what I've interpreted from the characters. - First, I think when you analyze Asuka's actions it seems that he feels a certain sense of ownership toward the world. Not in an entitled sense, but moreso a guardian. Which makes sense, really, as a disciple of the Original, savior of humanity. Especially considering the other disciples were explicitly uninterested in humanity's advancement, so he's the only one interesting in following in their teacher's footsteps. The problem is that he completely defines himself by it (which is kinda why I think Asuka was very young when he was taken in to be a disciple, because it's like it's all he knows). - So with that in mind, and knowing that before Aria met the other two, she was extremely isolated from her family and other people in general, I think the power dynamic in the relationship would end up being rather skewed. Literally, yes, since he's a sorcerer, but also psychologically. Aria's someone whose not used to having any support, and that's all Asuka wants to do. He never thinks of himself first, and the only sense of self he has is this self-appointed guardian role. He would go so far out of the way to make her happy, because he loves her very much. But he also thinks that he knows what's right for her and may have been controlling at times- which I think is why Frederick works so well in this dynamic because he's so anti-authority and free-thinking. His influence and just overall presence would keep the two of them from being too overly dependent on each other. After all, they love him as much as they love each other, as best friend, boyfriend, whatever. Obviously there's more to him in the dynamic but this is about the other two. - (As kind of a side-note, keeping Aria happy is one of the few ways he himself can feel fulfilled in his role as a guardian. The Original kind of had it easy, as world-saving goes, because he knew exactly what was going to burst (black tech) and had the exact solution to the problem (magic). The world Asuka's "inherited" has a million different facets and problems all piled together in one big powderkeg with an invisible fuse. He really can't just go out and fix everything alone as a socially inept 20-something, good at magic as he is. Which he understands, as an objective thinker, but given that guardianship is the only thing he defines himself with as a person, he's inevitably going to feel worthless and hate himself for not being able to do anything. Hence, why when the Gear Project gets picked up by the military, he goes crazy trying to fix it because just imagine what it would feel like that the whole world could be destroyed by something you made while trying to fix it.... But... If he could get what people need for advancement (gear cells) safe and unweaponized and if he could have someone else powerful to help and support him (Justice, maybe Sol?), he could use that to REALLY save the world AND Aria in the process. Win-win, right?)

How the ros would act if they were going to have a baby with mc? Sierra and Willow would have a niece to pamper
Oooooh interesting! Answers below the cut <3
Beck- is not ready to be a parent, will never be fully ready to be a parent, but if being a parent was imminent and unavoidable, they'd try to hype themself up the best they could! They'd try their best to be a 'cool parent'. They'd be a bit too permissive and a bit too lax with their kid, but they'd also be a fun parent. Could balance well with MC, depending. They would think it's kind of fun to have a little buddy. Probably would be more confident once the baby was older.
Croft- also does NOT want to ever be a parent. They don't like kids as a rule. But, once again, if it seemed they were going to be a parent, they'd do their best to step up. They'd end up being a bit of a distant and awkward parent, but would be ultimately loving. I think they'd be a better parent of a teenager than a baby ngl--they'd be veeeerrryy awkward with a baby or toddler lol--but would throw themself into researching parenting as much as physically possible.
Jay- doesn't feel ready to be a parent now, but if it happened they'd honestly get pretty damn excited pretty fast. They want to be a parent someday, and if they and MC were expecting a baby, they'd be very excited!! And Cricket would absolutely be psyched, haha. That all being said.........Jay would struggle with balancing their job and the S&R team and a baby. They'd be utterly doting and loving, and would be a very warm and affectionate parent, but wouldn't want to give up the (admittedly very dangerous) S&R team in particular.
Perri- would be a nervous wreck ngl. They aren't opposed to parenting someday, and would even be really excited after some time, but that wouldn't stop the fact that they'd be terrified. The adults in their own life were vastly not the best, and Perri doesn't have a lot of confidence in themself, but honestly they'd be a good parent. They'd get really into decorating, and once the baby was born they'd loooove to have a lil baby to hang out with and take care of.
Ravi- pretty shocked and unsettled and scared, to be honest. He's fascinated with the idea of parenting, but he's also pretty sure he'd do a bad job at it. Though I think he'd surprise himself once the baby was actually born. He's very patient, and would actually be great with a baby. I mean. He'd be a weird parent lmao, but a very loving and responsible one. Would bring the baby in a baby wrap to funerals and wouldn't think there was anything weird about that lmao.
Yasmin- would be psyched. It isn't something she's actually interested in right now, but if it happened, she'd get pretty excited. She'd be a killer mom, too. She'd get big into decorating and buying clothes especially. While she's happy being childless currently, she'd get into it. Future PTA mom no questions asked. She'd love bringing the baby to the library and would buy a billion books for the kid.

😶 Do you often feel tempted to use your death powers for less than selfless purposes? If so, how do you overcome it? Have you indulged it?
Ask Meme: Asking Uncomfortable Questions
“I killed someone once using my powers,” Nico said, lips pinching for a moment before the expression smoothed away. “It was Bryce and he deserved it. He was going to hurt my friends.” And beyond that, he’d escaped a punishment that had been justly given. Still, as much as he tried to justify it, he still felt... weird about it. He would certainly do it again if presented with the same situation all over again, but that didn’t mean he liked it.
But then the rest of the question caught up to him and he blinked in surprise. “I--I deal with the dead. Even if they’re not living anymore, they’re still people.” The question surprised him. It just wasn’t a thought that ever occurred to him before and considering it now made his nose wrinkle in disgust. “I respect the dead.” I respect people. “I wouldn’t use people like that.”
“... does shadow traveling in the middle of the night to get McDonald’s count as being selfish?” He asked after further moments consideration.

I'm not including a situation where someone might be injured because in that case I'm thinking the bed goes to them by default or they are nominated for it. anyone who wants to be chatty goes to join the living room floor gang.
What are your thoughts and headcanons? Do you have thoughts on how the boys tend to approach assigning beds in inns? Who do the chain choose to sleep near when camping and why? What are their dynamics like when settling down for the night and getting ready for the day?
In "Mirror Vs Open Closet Door: Fight!" by Gintrinsic (here) Four refers to the chain's decision on how to split up between inn rooms as the "Link-per-room ratio" which I find very funny. He, Sky, and Time also talk about their thought process behind why they do or don't want to sleep in a room with some of the others which I find fun and interesting.
So! If you have thoughts and want to share them! *gestures to the post!*
#linked universe#linkeduniverse#alrighty! now for my answers-#for the ranch question I think it varies which is why I'm asking in a poll. What do you think happens most often though?#each answer is a fun scenario so it's difficult to choose#but I think they'd try to act politely around Malon and Time for the first couple visits with straws or rock paper scissors#or showing generosity by offering the bed to someone else. (I bet Malon saying they're charming is quite the incentive#for more possible compliments. The chain as a whole would want to prove her right xD )#Once they're more comfortable in the house though I can totally see Wind and Legend making a mad dash for it while Wars yells after them xD#Wind probably ends up sharing with Four a lot since they're the littles#or Wind snuggles in with Wars Legend Wild etc#Wild and Twi/Wolfie have claimed the spot on the floor by the fireplace.#For inn rooms / castle rooms / camping - I tend to group them by how they're grouped a lot already#but a lil mixed up#Time - Sky - Wars are the good rest trio. they want a good night's rest please let them get their beauty sleep. often joined by Four#Wars goes between this group and wherever Legend is depending on how chatty he is that night.#Twi - Wild - Hyrule are snuggle/proximity buddies#Legend is attached to Hyrule's hip or sets up near Warriors to gossip and gripe. I can also see him setting up near Wild#in the eye of the storm as it were or just an interesting place to be. Wild and Hyrule can get to chatting about everything and anything#so if Legend wants background noise (Hyrule and Wild podcast omg)-#or a conversation he can be half a part of and jump in and out of while getting ready for the night or in the mornings-#this is a good place to be. add Wind and things get a bit more chaotic.#Wind gravitates to Wars and Legend too when curious and chatty. He gravitates towards Time when he wants something calmer.#Four tends to be near Sky or Twi or to Legend's group for the same reasons#I can see Four and Twi having a little book club going during downtimes where they talk about what they're reading. Sky likes to listen. <3#Wind thinks they're nerds but so is he and he can't resist a good story so he orbits and sometimes settles in and peppers questions.#it's funny that Time Sky and Wars want to sleep the most but Legend follows Wars to chat (and ends up bringing people with him xD )#there could be some conflict there oooo#Twi is by Time#it's almost a circle but with clusters of sleeping bags near on top of each other and filling the gaps

so wait, since i was just reminded of the recorder thing donna talked about in the giggle, i now have a question for uk ppl: do yall learn the recorder in school? like in a music class? and like how much do yall have music class over there?
#this is a very interesting topic for me as a music educator from the us#ik a guy from ireland and he said there was no music class in schools for him and like not the same country BUT same island#(as northern ireland. not the others in the uk but still)#and its so wild and fascinating music education is a fascinating field and the way we do it in the us seems to be largely vvv unique to us#for clarification on how things are different so ppl have a better idea on how to answer my question lol:#in the us music class is standard in elementary schools and most places have general music until abt 5th/6th grade (year 6/7)#(general music = basics- music games learn recorder SOME notation-reading; often classroom instruments eg boomwhackers claves maracas#orff instruments if you're lucky/from a school district that isnt poor. also some world music)#its less standardized after that and not every school will have music after middle school but concert bands and choirs are both huge here#choirs start right on the heels of general music classes (sometimes start earlier + students elect to be in choir instead of general music)#bands USUALLY start in 4th grade (year 5) but sometimes can be later 5th/6th (year 6/7) or even 7th (year 8) (WAY less common)#depends on the state generally 4th is most common i think (choirs start at around the same time i think so probs 4th but choir isnt my area#orchestras are weird bc theyre a lot less common but can commonly start younger bc of one of the big approaches to music ed (suzuki method)#so like maybe 3rd grade (year 4) maybe 4th w/ band (year 5) but i have a friend who teaches at a private school#& said they have 1st/2nd graders (year 2/3)!! orchestra is also not my area though#also marching bands: vv common! usually just in hs (starting 9th grade / year 10) bc it supports the football team at games#but starting in 8th grade (year 9) is also common (sometimes even 7th / year 8)#theres two different styles: collegiate/show band and competition. former is very rah rah pop music etc; competition is more abstract#show bands are clearly designed to entertain whereas competition is designed to be more impressive and tell a story#so more impact moments abstract shapes/lines on the field and has movements - opener ballad closer (fast-slow-fast)

Hi, in Modern AU fics where Katara and Azula start a family, do you think they should have kids via adoption or IVF?
Hmm, it really, really depends. I'm not opposed to either option - or even the option of the two of them never having kids.
I think that I lean toward adoption because I like the idea that Katara is filled with compassion for all the children of the world who need homes & Azula wants to help a child feel wanted in a way that she didn't.
I can see a healed / healing Azula having trouble warming up to the idea of kids because of how she grew up & I think maybe the idea that she's helping a child who would otherwise be alone might soften her toward the idea.

So what's your LEAST favorite pigment?
oooooh... let me see.
i don't think i have any one particular pigment that i dislike ALL of the time—watercolor can be temperamental, and the difference between using a transparent vs opaque color really can change the entire experience. they even dry differently, depending on what color you're using and with what materials. i can't really speak to oils or acrylics though since i've only used those in passing. (i do want to get into oils at some point... it's a gorgeous medium.)
if i absolutely had to pin down a specific pigment or pigment type that i don't particularly enjoy using myself, it... miiight be the cadmiums? yellow, red, orange, it doesn't matter. i know a lot of artists love them to death and they're even a staple on a lot of palettes, but the opacity and toxicity of them just puts them lower down on the list of the pigments i would usually reach for. (as long as you aren't eating them or inhaling the pigment itself handling cadmiums is usually okay-ish, but i prefer to err on the side of caution.)
that's not to say that i outright hate them, i've used them once or twice. but if i have an alternative to cadmium red (pr108) on hand like pyrol red (pr254) or something, i'd rather reach for that. especially since it can make cleaner mixes! (colors that are really opaque tend to get muddy easier, which is also the reason people hear 'don't mix with white, just dilute it' all the time. pyrol red is still opaque, but yk.)
for a while, cadmiums and the like were the only way you could get really true, lightfast and vibrant colors of whatever category they occupied, but there are so many other alternatives now that i find fun to explore and more comfortable to work with.
that said, it makes more sense in general to just play it by ear and see what colors speak to you. pr206 isn't exactly a perfect all-purpose mixing red, but that doesn't stop it from being one of my favorite colors of all time lol. and warmer reds do have a much smaller selection than cooler toned reds do!
(also, not a huge fan of colors that are incredibly hard to rewet, like true viridian (pg18) or potters pink (pr233) even if i do find their shades delicately pretty and really unique. working with them can be frustrating if you aren't using them directly from the tube. some brands are better about that than others though! and both of those are kind of bad examples anyway bc i think they're gorgeous when allowed to granulate on cold or rough press paper, in mixes or on their own.
ultramarine blue (pb29) sometimes has a similar issue actually, but the color is so intense that it remains a staple for me anyway lol. sucker for certain classics ig.)

Depressing headcanon that I have manifested due to being bored in class:
Milli's super strength is the reason why her parents aren't around anymore.
So, the way I imagined this headcanon is one of two ways. One) Milli's strength showed up early on and was threatening to the point that they had to create Bot to help prevent her from hurting herself and others. But when their second kid started developing powers, they dipped in fear of Geo developing powers just as dangerous.
Second & worse/angsty version) Milli's parents actually did care for her, and helped her keep her strength in check. Even when Geo was born they helped both be able to use and control their powers. Both their math powers, and their physical powers of super strength and speed respectively. Granted they were much younger, so it wasn't much. But it was as much as they could do. Unfortunately, perhaps some incident involving potential idividuals interested in Milli & Geo's powers caused Milli to unintentionally harm her parents in self-defense. K■■■ing them instantly.
Regardless of which reason happened, Milli possesses a severe negative association with her strength. Having subconsious mental blocks that keep her from using her full strength in fear she may hurt the only family she has left and make them disappear too.
This idea has been cooking in my brain all day.
Ok but what if she accidentally hurt Geo or Bot with her super strength one day when she's frustrated at them?
What if she gets so angry at a villain she hurts them real badly and they become terrified of her?
What if she gets so angry or frustrated she almost consciously uses her full strength just to get rid of the problem? 👀

I drew a x-ray of my theory (which I believe is true) his a manatee
KSNAKMSNSMS
I mean some theories like these may not sound confirmed but I couldn't stop imagining some dumb and clever scenarios related to the theory-
My scenario was almost like; if he was a manatee in a human disguise all along and managed to trick people into thinking hes a human- I'm surprised a manatee like that took time to build a body for him to control by himself
I can't man- this theory is too fascinating and funny- 💀💀

"i know we shouldn't be killing rhea and i personally am against it and my gut tells me this is wrong but i'll do it anyway because nobody else uses logic on this route anyway!"
#DCB Three Hopes Run#this is no thoughts head empty route so she's just going to blindly trust claude who has faced plenty of pushback#for his decisions and go ahead with helping him and the others kill rhea for reasons they have zero and sometimes negative evidence of#like rly why wouldn't she just be like hmm I don't agree with this can I sit this one out. nope she's gonna get involved anyway#it would've been more interesting if marianne disagreed and grew backbone and sided with the church instead#they try to write the routes as like... everyone is happy with their leader (unless you're dimitri#bc then felix gets to talk shit for half the game in houses and ppl ate it up like pie)#and they don't ask questions. when they do ask questions it's a brief answer that just shoots it down#even lorenz in gw saying they should just leave edelgard for dead was ignored#for all the proper reasoning he gave everyone else just went lol you're like (edelgard or claude depending on your choice)!!!#and then went on about the uwu classmate thing (even tho they didn't rly even know each other at all in this game as classmates#and by the timeline edelgard left the monastery before even the lions so she was around them the least amount of time)#like... actual reasoning in this game gets shot down so fast so it's no wonder marianne didn't actually DO anything#and didn't stick by her actual feelings/beliefs but it's still annoying that she didn't#maybe it would've made claude and friends think twice abt the whole thing if they had to cut marianne down too#for refusing to go along with it bc she she didn't believe it was the right thing to do

A mutual acquaintance is wondering how one would go about commissioning you...
Sorry it took so long to get back to you anon! My brain has been alternating between being goo and keeping extremely busy.
I mostly prefer being contacted via email ([email protected]) if you have a clear idea of what you want n lots of references or don't mind a slower response time, and i SHOULD have dms open if you have a vaguer idea but want easier/quicker back-and-forthing during the process.
I used to take commissions through my ko-fi, but there was a monthly fee to be able to do so at the time so I've stopped taking them through ko-fi directly and mostly work through paypal invoices. I also don't like taking payment upfront, so I allow them to be paid off little by little!

13 and 27 GO!!
13. first thing you're doing in the purge?
oghhh god I don't know. realistically I'd be a scared little bitch for that. but what I'd want to do is a different question. probably some relatively harmless vandalism or destruction of property to be real. the impulse is always there
27. what's your favorite or go-to outfit?
oooh ok so technically my go-to is fairly ratty shorts and t-shirts cause I never leave the house so the fun answer is these gray pants I have with my purple fall out boy shirt and then layers of jewelry

I guess I'm placing my bets now... For the most part--aside from whatever is going on with the Zack stuff--I don't think they've really changed anything in FFVII Rebirth compared with the main game (mainly the Aerith thing is what I'm talking about here).
