i think the thing that cements dtamhd as not a personal dennis win was the fact that the doctor literally said you can take medication to regulate high blood pressure - in the same way he can dye his greying hairs or wear makeup on his aging face or eat healthy and workout. he's completed deluded himself into this idea of physical perfection that he had to put himself through an elaborate, and honestly painful, mental sequence in which his limits are tested akin to a diamond being formed under pressure. in the end result you come out with a gem but dennis remains dishonest and insecure with every aspect of his life. he's living in a time that he feels left behind in so he resorts to the golden god fantasy version of him that's above his trauma and insecurities and imperfections that's he becomes his own higher power; enriched in an inner world that harbours him and his victories. he's so so delusional and i share the sentiment that this should absolutely not be The Dennis Episode

So we have now surpassed the 96 hour "best case scenario" amount of oxygen point (if they had been alive and didnt just implode, they arent alive anymore), and I just keep thinking everything about this story, and really the story ABOUT the story, is fascinating.

Like, the situation itself has that incredible blend of tragedy voyeurism and schadenfreude that adds a level of absurdity. (The Logitech controller, the camping world lights, the fact that they probably didn't have their shoes). The way this story touches on issues of deregulation and tragedy tourism and billionaire hubris and a condemnation of wreckless start up mindsets. How much money has been spent looking for them, how much the tickets cost - the extreme absurdity of all of it.

But also the WAY this story has been covered. I keep seeing this compared to the horrific disaster in the Mediterranean this week which killed over 500 refugees and the disparity in the coverage and interest. And yeah, I think the issue is that the disaster in the Mediterranean is transparently horrific- it is a terrible tragedy, the result of systemic and complex geopolitical issues that are complex. So many people, and the weight of that is just so big. It's not funny. It's just awful.

The Ocean Gate Titan thing? It's a simple narrative that was obviously avoidable. It feels like a movie with REALLY obvious themes. It's been covered like a movie. It's been dragged out and every single possible update, the viral video of the tour of the sub, the possible noises detected by sonar, the whole side story about the billionaire step son going to the Blink 182 concert- the cast is so small and the level of abstraction away from normal people and their lives? Makes it feel completely unreal and so it can be consumed like the newest HBO miniseries.

Even now, we are getting updates on how they could stretch the oxygen out longer- like a fan theory prediction of the next episode. Like a headcanon for the season finale. (Oh God, do you think AO3 has fics yet?) Tiktokers making videos about plot holes (why not attach a tether to it?). Discourse over whether it's problematic to say one thing or another about it.

It reminds me of how it felt when the Ever Given got stuck in the Suez Canal, but with the added "oh my god, the OCEAN ate the rich" and Logitech Playstation controller jokes.

I'd put money on implosion. These men have been dead since Sunday. It's likely that we won't actually know for a long time though, if ever. But the way this story was covered is worth contemplating.

I love it I love it I love it I could watch it forever

I'm truly irrevokably in love. I'm done for. I'm probably going to rewatch this all month before I am satisfied I've fully taken it all in. I NEED to rewatch Mindwalk and Supernova again ASAP because knowing what I know now about the memories HJ had just recovered. I know it is going to wreck me to watch her in those episodes with S2 in mind.

My ship HELD HANDS GUYSSS. HE TOLD HER SHES HIS HOME. HE DIDNT FEEL LIKE HE BELONGED ANYWHERE UNTIL THEY MET. SHE BROKE TIME FOR HIM AGAIN AND AGAIN. HER EYES GOT SO BIG! THAT HUG LOOKED SO GOOD. (I'm getting off topic a lot but i need to get the "my ship is canon - in a way i don't hate!!!" fangirling out of my system.) breathe. breathe. okay gonna keep going.

Its gonna take me a few more watch throughs to fully wrap my head around the paradox. And around how you fit a humpback whale in the original ISS Voyager (seriously. has that been there the whole time? does OG Voyager have a whale? was she retrofitted in the AQ? did Mirror J steal a whale from 1996?) And if that timeline where KJ was lost on the infinity means shes also trapped on future solum with Chakotay or just dead. and and and... so many things. so many fic ideas. so many plot bunnies

There. was. so. much. that I loved. it was such an ambitious story to tell in 2 seasons and oh my god, i really feel they mostly pulled it off. They brought back Voyagers legacy characters and put them to work in a plot that fit them, and it was such a joy to see them again. They stay true to who they were on Voyager - thoroughly wonderfully 100x better than on Voyager in Chakotays case. and i really believe theyre the same characters with a few more years of life since ive last met them.

And the new characters too. I love Dal and Gwyn and Rok and Murf and Zero and Jankom and Maj'el to pieces. (Majel!!! is such a perfect tribute!) I want to see so much more of Noum and Tysses. I am in tears over Adreek. God how much i want Season 3 just to see how their stories continue.

But I think... what strikes me most and what I appreciated the most was how much this show wholeheartedly respects its fans!!!

It never dumbs things down or babies it's younger audience. its very mature for a kids show. it is a great introduction to star trek and the universe without over explaining. there are storylines in these 40 episodes that would be right at home in TNG or Voyager. it's really more of a fun for the whole family show than a kids show in that way. (it says something that it's the first "cartoon" my parents have ever cared for and they are watching it wholely for themselves.) It really manages to tell the story in a framing thats aimed at kids without taking anything away from the story its telling for all ages.

And it's adult audience...

I worried about how it would feel to have enjoyed such a rich fanon universe in the 3 decades since the show ended. There were advantages to having a ship with very little canon. the fan universe thrived on how much room there was to work within. After that - having headcanoned and written and imagined so many futures for the characters - I feared having some new canon come in and make a new story for them that would invalidate so much if that imagination, or create something so unsatisfying or rigid or antithical to their last canon encounter that nothing new would be inspired by it. (P/C in Picard was like that for me)

Prodigy didnt do that. Prodigy made no grand sweeping canon for the years in between Voyagers homecoming and the new show. Prodigy didnt shoe horn any character into a rigid relationship status. Prodigy picked them up, set them on a new adventure, sprinkled in tantalyzing new details, and left a wealth of room around the events of the season and the relationships between the characters for so much fan imagination to thrive. The possibilities before and during and after the seasons for the characters are bountiful and perfect for imagining their other adventures. I couldnt have imagined my ship becoming canon (or maybe affirmed by the canon is a clearer way to put it) in a better way.

And then they went and added Tank Top Action Janeway in there as a treat.

Truly a masterpiece. i'm so grateful for this show. i hope it gets the 3rd season it so dearly deserves.

honestly ı am glad sarcastic chorus quit cuz his analyze videos about hb was more complaining on how the New ep oh Helluva didnt go into the direction he wanted rather then actually critisizing the show in his latest videos . it was obvious he didnt enjoy watching season 2 .and he does over analyze things a lot..this show is is comedy mixed drama kind of thing well ıts not really comedy anymore but it still has silly moments..funny gags

and yeah ı agree that hb sometimes has a shtty pacing it makes me so frustrated too (especially S2Episode4) ,though ıts an indie animation and sadly they cant just release the whole season in a week or smth like that like how some shows does.

And in prev episodes we had to wait for like 3 months or more until the next One come in SOMETIMES TWO OR MORE MONTHS ONLY FOR A GIF(full moon episode lmao) 😭 so it makes sense Why the writing is flawed in some ways ..cuz they have to keep the tension so the fans wont get bored waiting the next episode for months ( ı know it relases monthly now but it wasnt like this before).

I actually think that Helluvaboss was never really suited taking a whole season slow character arcs and relationships yeah ı also love shows with more then 4 seasons and at least have 30 minutes episodes or more though ıts not really possible to do that with indie animation ..Helluva only has 4 seasons and SO MUCH to tell in its story YES hb again has flawed writing but ı am just tired Twitter talks about it like ıts the WORST writing in a show .

Well in octavia's drawings when she was a kid shows us that she was more close with her dad since she never included drawing stella on them.also having similar hobbies and interests with stolas..( where they both like stars ..plants..well drawing. Singing to cope with their emotions ..)

Other then that He's mostly the same as the og in personality. A little stupid and silly. he can be nice though... probably the nicest next to Brodes but honestly sometimes Brody can be mockingly nice depending on the day fr.

These boys have been spinning around in my head alongside the Wasabi Crew and I like the current direction the AU is going now. Its chill and feels more Kickin It sitcom-y and less Cobra Kai melodrama-y which i massively prefer. just some thoughts on season 5 of atlantis - i really dont like it.

woolsey is growing on me, but its too late. the show is gonna end soon. so like.. dissapointment. its especially painful because Woolsey was the one that delivered the news to Carter. it made me dislike him, heavily. i thought it would be a plot point, and she would come back, but nah.

sheppard deserves something more. i mean, i think there is only like.. one sheppard centric episode? with his father, and his ex-wife?

mckay... he is stuck inbetween actual growth and falling back on his ass. i thought he would try to fix his relationship with katie, because that was such a fucking fuckup, but no, bro seems like he didnt even realize what was happening("Trio") now he seems interested in Keller, which... i guess i support it? i dont know.

Ronon? he is just cool. thats kinda all his character is. i always thought there would be a deeper reason, why they made him a runner, but no such thing. he is just a cool guy with a cool gun and cool sword. honestly suprising they didnt try to get his gun for everybody. its like the only weapon in atlantis that can both stun and kill.

teyla.. teyla teyla teyla. meh. kanaan sucks. the kid plotline is actually alright, really liked "The Queen", but... kinda falls flat because the whole Todd aliance dies like two episodes later.

Zelenka deservers more plot, aswell. we know almost nothing about the guy expect that he has pigeons.

im also kinda sad that they felt the need to reintroduce the Asgard. now yes, they do look kinda robotic, or atleast they have some sort of cybernetic enhancement, but man, would it really be that difficult to make up new antagonists? i mean the wraith are so great. i always hoped that the wraith had a rich history, because of what Todd said to Sheppard, in the episode where he feeds on him. and returns his life. i always thought that perhaps long ago they maybe like fed on animals or shit and actually had a society but no, they just.. yeah. i was very hopeful about the whole turn the wraith into lesser wraith so they dont feed? sounded pretty cool honestly. but again the alliance failed so.. pain.

really sad about the episode where Weir returned. its shame they couldnt get the actress back. although, it kinda made sense i suppose, since she was just a consciousness trapped in a computer, and then stuck in the Fran body. i love Fran, by the way.

i have no idea why they decided to shove Carson back in. i know he is a clone and all but.. whats the point?

i definitely wanna see how it all ends, thats the only reason why i didnt drop it yet, because honestly, almost none of these episodes really like.. made me go "damn bro thats good."

i did really like "Inquisition", really started to like Woolsey here. First Contact and The Lost Tribe because Daniel showed up. missed him. honestly he could've become leader of atlantis, haha. Outsiders was kinda interesting? but yeah, thats it man. 6 more episodes to go.

•Gavilar, Navani, & Elhokar. I havent played them alot, so theres not alot of notes on them. I didnt make Ausedan and never plan to, so Elhokar lives with his parents forever.

•Evi, Renarin, Dalinar, Gavinor. Gavinor is here because Evi got pregnant when i wasnt looking and Sim abortions arent a thing. Literally did not have anything else to name him 😭 Renarin is attending online(?) college, Dalinar is a literal word leader(thats his actual profession) and Evi. Should i give Evi a job?

•Kaladin, Adolin, Sylphrena, and Maya. Syl and Maya arent pets theyre babies. Id prefer if you didnt ask. Kaladin and Adolin are married (because i could, honestly) Adolin is an actor! And Kaladin is a secret agent (it was between that and astronaut. I didnt have the expansion pack necessary to be a doctor yet. Pls let me know if i should switch his career 😭)

You know how i cope with the fact that Helluva Boss is "wasted potential: the show"? By gaslighting myself into tinking thats not an actual cartoon, but a fanfic of one better adult cartoon from another universe:

In some other paralel universe, there is an aclaimed adult Cartoon that aired in adult swim from the early 2000's, called "Helluva Job", wich follows the wacky adventures or 4 demons, all very different in personalities and have a hard time working together, triying to get out of their miserable life as the lowest class of demons in hell by working on killing humans in exchange of money from those who commision them those murders.

Every episode its about them trying to get their new target, a premise thats kinda repetitive but the show manages to make it fresh avaery episode with its creativity.

It had a wacky absurd humor that doesnt take itself seriously, sometimes based on very silly and cartoony things happening to the protagonists, it also had a very, VERY dark humor that would make kinda fucked out jokes about taboo themes (kinda like drawn together), wich made many people belive that the show "didnt age well" despite still being hilarous. Stolas is just a recurring joke of "that one creepy old man Blitzo sleep with because he is rich and has to do it to keep his job", he never gets more than 4 minutes on screen and its always him being an steriotypical rich asshole who abuses his power and makes gross comments to Blitzo (and he is very classist and racist). Stella is just the woman thats married to him and she tries to be a decent wife, but she is clearly annoyed with him and clearly she just waiting for him to ask divorce.

Stolas also dies in the finale of the show when a metor falls over him, Blitzo celebrates this in the most childish and exagerated (but also extremely funny) way possible.

The art style was like a combination between Clone High and Dexter's laboratory, with the use of exagerated shapes to form its cgaracters. And the animation was just decent, but its praised over the character designs, wich are simple yet efective and creative

The show got 2 seasons and those were enough, it was remembered as one of the darkerst yet funniest cartoons that ever aired on adult swim, and how people still rewatching it years later.

(Caine did some magic of his own and Ragatha's outfit transformed onto a light blue dress with patches, a long purple cloak and a Obtained a blue hat with a big patch on it)

KING CAINE:

Now you will be the mage and healer, you have access to Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder! You also can use cure to help your teammates! Use this power carefully because you can run out of mana!

RAGATHA:

Sweet!(She waved her new wand around a bit)

KING CAINE:

Jax, It's not much but here is a shield and a small sword! You are the warrior/brute of the group! You can't use magic but you have a higher critical hit chance!

JAX:

Can't complain if I get to swing around a sword.. HAH!(he swings it around as well, but more rapidly, Ragatha had to duck.)

KING CAINE:

Now, Pomni I am trusting you with the most powerful weapon in the world, The Keyblade. It can unlock any door…and cast spells AND be used as sword. You are the leader of this adventure.

Your task is to find The Digital Heart, Find The Lost Princess ane Defeat The Dark One. I'm almost certain he won't stop at Hollow Chesstion, but take over other worlds as well.

For now… I feel like he might cause trouble near the town square for that's the direction I had to chase him and his colleagues.

I'll give you Bubble as a companion. She can do a lot of things such as shop items, sell items and even Upgrade you and your party. Explore with her a bit and she can unlock some real potential that will help you on your journey.
