I think some pjsk fans are a little too comfortable making fun of how the characters pronounce english words. Saw a video titled “wxs speaking ‘engrishu’” & it’s like hey man. that feels a little unnecessary. You can just say English.

#I think it’s a little funny when the characters throw in English out of nowhere bc it’s like woa hey English jumpscare #but I think it veers a little too close to mockery of accents when youre making fun of pronunciation.#mine #like. make fun of tsukasa for walking up to a small child and going HEY GIRL I AM WORLD FUTURE STAR DANCE AND SING bc that’s a freak thing #to do in any language but cool it on the pronunciation stuff. maybe consider the long running racist jokes about making accents or #broken English into a punchline & how you could be (unintentionally) playing into that.#Ik some people use the romanization of uhhh.#hiragana? katakana? kanji? (unfamiliar w Japanese writing system) with songs and stuff but I don’t think you need to be doing that for #translated dialogue.

Now why would my dad, this cishet construction worker pushing 60 who spend his life watching only action movies and the occasional comedy movie, suddenly got VERY into mostly romantic K-dramas ??

#the sudden shift in his interest in media is so funny to witness #I've watched a bunch with him. so far:#the one where the main guy is italian. vicenzo? it was hilarious but why did they spend an entire ep dedidacted to homophobia #sweet home. first season excellent the other two. well. no comments #ummm what else. my fav ones were extraordinary attorney woo the writing was soso good and accurate rep of autistic ppl #according to what I've read from autistic people who watched it #also the glory!!!! that one was also crazy good i loved how her revenge was never framed as a bad thing #OH and another one i loved was the kingdom. the final episodes all being a long zombie fighting sequence and the prince and his people being #progressively caked with blood. poetic cinema etc etc #uhh i also watched a short romance one with him I can't recall very well. kind of mystical? about a sorcerer that had like. a shop or smth #two more period pieces: mr queen which was also excellent!! it surprised me bc i thought it'd be comedy only? the genuine gayness of it all!#and v well written as well! a modern guy who was a misogynist echanges bodies with a queen of the past and he not only learns to what's like #to be a woman but also realizes he's bi as he falls for the king? and cries when he goes back to the future bc they broke apart??#who did it like them!!! mr queen tv show your gay subtext was too strong they had to kill you!!!#I'm currently watching the king's affection which is also like pretty gay? we'll see #anyways back to my dad i was like oh (abt the king's affection) this is a period piece right? looks interesting and he was like actually #*puffes chest* it's set in the joseon era 😌 he was SO proud of correcting me sjsjsjd #nacido para ser kpoper condenado a ser un hombre cishet maquinista de grua de casi 60 #woa this post got. long lmao #z

yknow at this point i have drawn so many images i can draw pretty fast now. i think that's the best outcome after years of tormenting over how slow of an artist i was. mainly bc i really had no idea what i was doing, so i would spend HOURS on just a full-body character design or something of the like. of course all the practice and time spent studying anatomy or color makes things easy now (also obsession but we already know about all that)

i think its hard to learn that not all your art is precious and by that i mean of course u cant create masterpieces in a day and shouldnt torment over not being able to get something right the first time. the silly doodles all count towards something. i joke about having perpetual wips but i think my favorite thing is saving past ideas and reworking them later just to see how they changed. bc art, like people, is so dynamic. constantly changing.

and the best feeling is making the art u imagined years ago come to life or you get a bit closer to producing the work that you saw in your head. mmmmm growth.

#i think it took years of pain and frustration and i still feel uneasy about my art but i aim to improve always so i think thats a good thing #like these days i dont really care about quality or what the people will like. i just draw whatever idea and post for funsies #and i want to be able to do that for a long time 😭#all my vent post are about art bc i dont wanna be too personal online LOL but I FEEL BAD I JUST HAVE A SERIOUS CASE OF IMPOSTER SYNDROME #SORRY #but yea i read every tag and the essay length ones always make me happy like thank you. <3 for simply looking at my art. it means a lot #im at a weird part of my life sorry if i get all sentimental and wistful i just. woa. art 🧍‍♂️

i can't believe i didn't even write it in my caption... but the side profile pic of diana was exclusively taken to point out the fact that she DOES indeed still have freckles (re: her appearances in the comics) and that i will die a freckled diana burnwood truther.

absolutely imagining that the reason they aren't as prominent, aside from like... art style differences, is that her makeup blots them out (which i have experience with too.. i hate wearing foundations for that reason; it's why i prefer bb cremes) and makes them appear fainter/outright erases them 😔

but back to the photos. look at this

those aren't just pores, babes! those are freckles :} very faint (again, foundation blotted) freckles!
