7: One DC death you’d like to make permanent — or alternatively, one you’d erase so it never happened?

This might be a softball choice, but I would have made Arthur Brown's death in Suicide Squad permanent. I know that this is comic books, and miraculous returns from the grave are par for the course, but I think part of the premise of the Suicide Squad is the belief that any of the characters can die. There have to be stakes, and when a SS member dies and then comes back to life, it weakens the central premise. Separately, I liked Stephanie's arc dealing with her feelings after the death of her father, and the tension in her identity that it created.

17: Who is the best civilian love interest, and why?

Obviously it's Josh from Birds of Prey. Uh this is actually a hard one for me. I want to say Lois, because come on, it's Lois! She is the superhero love interest! But I feel like Lois has long since become her own superhero in her own way, so I'm not going to give myself the easy out there. I'm going to instead say Damon Matthews, who's the well adjusted boyfriend of Obsidian, because he was out there being queer back in the aughts and I want to recognize that. Thanks, Manhunter.

8. A film set in a place you always wanted to visit

This is a super super hard question! Most movies I know are in the past or in big cities (usually in America) or in warzones :') All of which I'd rather not visit. So I'm gonna cheat and say Pokémon 3: The Movie. Because who doesn't want to live among Pokémon.

14. A film whose main genre is fantasy

I am gonna go for Dungeons & Dragons, Honor Among Thieves. Not the best fantasy movie out there, but very fun and very worth watching! It's super sweet <3

19. A film that is a novel or play adaptation

I mean I have to go with Lord Of The Rings, I have just finished the books and they reminded me how much I love the movies. Specifically, The Return Of The King.

in light of the recent news that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been found dead after a helicopter crash you might be wondering 'who the hell is this guy and why are so many people celebrating his death??' and i'm here to answer that!

to fully understand what's going on we need to look into Iran's history: when the Iranian revolution in 1979 happened the authoritarian king who was ruling at that time was overthrown, but the ensuing power vacuum lead to the islamic regime seizing power and establishing Iran as an islamic republic

the following years were incredibly cruel to the Iranian people; thousands of people (especially minorities) have been protesting against the strict islamic regime leading to many being jailed, tortured and executed.

and this is where Raisi played a big part: in 1988 he was part of a committee that ordered the execution of thousands of political prisoners who were protesting the islamic regime, earning himself the title of "the butcher of tehran"

do not be fooled by what the state media wants you to believe, the Iranian people are celebrating his death. he was a cruel mass murderer who has destroyed the lives of thousands of people, his death should be used as a time to mourn for all the suffering he has caused, and bring new attention to the political prisoners still being held in Iranian prisions today

because sadly the fight is far from over. many of you have probably heard of the murder of Mahsa Jina Amini back in 2022, causing a new wave of nationwide protests and establishing the "woman, life, freedom" movement. the regime has gotten increasingly cruel in their treatment of the Iranian people, especially women, but the people of Iran are not deterred and keep fighting for a free Iran.

if you want to know how you can help, please keep talking about us. the one thing the regime hates is international attention, and in the past it has been proven that international pressure has stopped the regime from executing various political prisoners. people like Toomaj Salehi are under imminent threat of execution and spreading their names could save their lives. so whether you share social media posts or talk to your family and friends about what is happening in Iran, anything helps 🙏🏼

DP x DC worlds greatest detectives ramble

You ever just get a bit tired of the batfamily being dumb?

Sure I appreciate a good “Danny is weird and the Bats try to figure out his deal and draw wrong conclusions based on incomplete evidence” fic as much as the next guy, and I’m definitely not saying not to write them

But the thing is, they’re all really smart. It’s their whole thing, they’re a family of detectives that dress up in colorful costumes and fight crime, but detectives nonetheless

And I get it’s for humorous effect to have otherwise intelligent people be incredibly dumb about one thing, but it’d just be nice to see them be smart sometimes. Even in a fic where they’re drawing the wrong conclusions, it’d be nice to see them use their detective skills

Like build a case so solid Danny questions whether they’re actually right about him and if he’s just confused

Or just apply it to more conventional situations/crimes

Because frankly it’s funnier if you show they’re smart before having them do something really stupid

If you build them up a bit, then it’s funnier when they fall down.

He should’ve known it’d be his husband. 

“Nice shirt,” a voice teases behind the camera as Steve turns around. “Name five songs.”

“Bet he can’t even name one.” Another voice mocks. 

“I’ll name five that are about me and you can tell all your friends that my husband thinks you’re dumb as shit.” Steve deadpans.

Eddie snorts as he looks up from his phone at Steve in the kitchen wearing the same special edition shirt he’d worn to the grocery store.
