You can recall the first time you ever saw Dennis freak out.

"Idiots! Fucking idiots all of them!" Dennis ranted in his usual methodic tone. The gang wasn't phased, this sort of Dennis rant was something they'd become accustomed to. For you - the latest addition the gang - you had never witnessed one of Dennis' outbursts. It was probably that empathic nature or yours that made you want to act, to console him. And you did. Despite the gang's protests, once they noticed you about to leap into action. They knew it was better to just let Dennis ride out the anger and come down again. But you reached out and touched his arm. The gang collectively held their breath, expecting Dennis to bark out some obscenities in response, but it never came. The feeling of your hand on him made him turn to face you, to look at you.

"Dennis, it's okay, we'll fix this, I promise."

And he calmed. And took a deep breath.

"You know what? You're right. I can fix this." Dennis exhaled. Everyone was shocked,

"What the fuck just happened." Mac said blankly. In the whole time they had known him, Dennis had never been able to be pacified from one of these insane outbursts.

But then it became frequent, because Dennis's raging was frequent. Every time he would begin ranting and raving, you were able to calm him down. It was a voice of serene amidst the chaos. It went on for years like this, as you became part of the gang.

You were usually there hanging out with the gang when things would go wrong, and you'd be able to solve it and calm him down. But today, that wasn't the case. Today, Dennis was on a date.

Dennis was in the process of getting this woman to sleep with him, his stock procedure. But the date had been falling apart. It first started with his suit getting ruined. After dressing himself up in a nice blazer and shirt outfit, it was massacred by spaghetti after Mac spilt it on top of Dennis. Mac was haphazardly carrying it through their shared kitchen and failed to notice him.

"Christ Mac, what the hell are you doing!"

But that was okay. He could manage. He would just have to change. And although this did delay him, he could still D.E.N.N.I.S this girl. He could just say he was late because he was helping some old lady cross the street or looking after a stray kitten.

After successfully making it out of the door, he began to drive to the date. A cute restaurant not too far from his apartment, a picturesque rendezvous. But this was stalled even further by the lack of parking spaces available. Dennis groaned at threw his head back against the car headrest. After circling the block for what felt like the 100th time, Dennis decided to just park further away and book it to the restaurant. He settled for a tucked away corner of the city. Sure, it was far, but hey, at least it was a space.

Finally, after running to the entrance of the restaurant, he saw his date waiting, arms folded.

"Dennis! There you are! What took you so long?Are you.. okay? You look at a little out of sorts." Cadence spoke.

"Sorry. Sorry. Some old hags cat was- was trying to cross the road. I had to run from the other side of town." Dennis panted. He didn't expect the journey to have made him so debilitated. 'Not a perfect excuse, either. I might have messed up the wording..' he thought.

Dennis and his date, Cadence finally entered the restaurant. Dennis regained most of his breath and approached the host.

"Reynolds, table for two." He told the host.

The host scanned their notebook with a pen and searching eyes.

"Sorry, sir, I don't see anything for Reynolds here. Are you sure you booked for this restaurant?" The host replied. They lacked any kind of care for the situation, replying in a detached tone. Most likely years of working customer service had drained them.

"Am I sure I booked for- do you think I'm some kind of bumbling buffoon? Of course I fucking did!" Dennis snarled. Seemingly the frustrations from the evening were overflowing and spilling out.

"What do you take me for some kind of idiot!?" Dennis continued to bawl.

At this point, his date was getting embarrassed of his uncontrolled emotions. Cadence leaned in and touched his forearm. And maybe if it wasn't Dennis Reynolds she had performed this action on, it could have worked and soothed him.

"Dennis its okay, we can go eat somewhere else if you want?"

Immediately Dennis shook her grip off him.

"If I want? Why would I want to eat somewhere else when I made a fucking reservation here. What I want is to eat here!" He snapped, tapping his finger on the hosts notebook.

"Dennis, it's okay. We will do whatever you want." Cadence tried again.

"What I want? What I want is... well, what would you know about fixing shit! You're just..! Well, you're not.. not." Oh. And that's when it hit him.

What Dennis wanted now was not a reservation at this pseudo-rich restaurant. And he knew he certainly didn't want Cadence to try and comfort him. Her words didn't seem to hold any mindfulness or meaning... but yours did. She wasn't you. What he wanted was you. That's all he ever wanted. Everything else he had been doing for was a pathetic search to fill the void. The women he was trying to do, D.E.N.N.I.S, the dates he'd go on, the sex he would have, it all meant nothing.

All he wanted was you. A pure undivided love and something he had never felt before. Dennis had an unprofound realisation that he liked someone. Something most come to grips with in adolescents. But for him, that realisation was something he had never had. It made his heart ache and burn. He needed to act. He needed to call you and spill his heart out. Because no one was like you, and that's all he could think about as he turned on his heel and left the restaurant.

it's another normal day, with tamaki doing the usual rounds with fatgum.

you and kirishima were assigned to patrol the other side of the city and you just agreed to meet at the rendezvous point.

there's a hop in your step as you get closer and once you see the other two at the end of the street, you immediately walk faster, leaving behind a slightly confused kirishima.

"tama!!" you called out for him and he jumps slightly, seeing your figure approaching.

he opens his arms, knowing that you would run into them.

he feels the air getting knocked out of him once you embrace him, lips planting a kiss on his cheek.

"b-bunny," he's already blushing so hard with you clinging onto him. and it wasn't helping that you were in public.

"aww the lovebirds are reunited~" fatgum would coo and kirishima would grin.

once you let go of tamaki, he would instantly slouch and cover his head with his hood.

he always gets shy and embarrassed when you're around but you know it's not the bad kind.

he's just new to this, having so much affection directed towards him.

"everything good over there?" fatgum asks you and you nod eagerly.

"yup! kiri and i saw no problem."

fatgum would nod and then you'd continue with the patrol together.

even then, you'd keep clinging onto tamaki, your arm wrapped around his.

sometimes you'd ask for a kiss, tilting your head and pointing to your cheek.

his ears would turn red but he doesn't really mind, giving you a quick kiss before anyone saw.

he actually likes having you this close to him; not that he would admit that out loud.

strolling around the city, not once did you leave his side and gradually he would grab your hand and entwine your fingers.

it's the closest physical affection that he shows when in public.

"b-bunny?" tamaki whispers and you look up at him. "umm.. would you like something to eat?"

you'd go on listing off the food you'd like to try and it makes tamaki smile.

meanwhile, fatgum and kirishima end up giggling in front of you.

"ah, young love," fatgum comments.

"if only we could have a love like y/n-senpai's!" kirishima adds while putting his hand on his chest. "amajiki-senpai is a lucky man!"

cue tamaki blushing and covering his face all over again and you giggling at how cute and precious he is 😌

it’s co-ed for now, but later down the road there’s enough members, organization, and structure for it to be separated into boys and girls teams

he’s sure to hold a straight face when you talk to him about volleyball or when he watches you play but is fanboying big time on the inside hehe

doesn’t understand the game but makes an effort to understand it, though he acts like he knows a lot about it when hes around you

secretly goes into the human world to watch the olympic volleyball team

kinda aggressive, the coach has to make him step outside sometimes

also picks up insight on volleyball whenever he listens to you talk about it

acts bored during those conversations but his brain is taking lots of mental notes bc it’s something you really like

ends up never fully understanding how it works but knows enough about volleyball to gAMBLE

definitely forces levi to make bets with him, but he always supports your team when doing so

will try to give you tips and find ways to cheat for you to win or do better

and he knows that you wont actually do what he says but finds it funny when you do something ridiculous during practice out of the blue

when you go back to the human world he still bothers you with out-of-this-world pointers

if he cant make it to one of your games (usually bc he has no way to get to the human world) he will record his reactions and commentary then send it to you

he has probably watched the demon-anime-equivalent of haikyuu!!

understands the game very well bc of that

but since the game is super over-exaggerated in the anime hes lowkey disappointed when he watches a real game (is even more disappointed when he watches humans play bc they’re not as powerful as demons)

so he likes to try out the moves he sees in the anime with you and mammon when you’re practicing on your own time

when it’s a game day he’s dressed head to toe in your team’s merch, ready to cheer you on!

of course, at first he doesn’t wanna go bc ew crowds ew major social setting ew oTHER BEINGS

cheers very passionately and puts other cheer squads to shame with his energy

livestreams EVERYTHING and by everything i mean only your plays and lowkey irritates the others bc he constantly interviews them

when you go back to the human world he always records his reactions and commentary, sometimes with mammon or asmo, and SPAMS you with them

but he gets to go to your games most of the time and never forgets his fans and glow sticks!!

immediately studies the game and its culture

he asks you questions and is openly curious about it around you

you demonstrate how the different positions work but go in depth on your position specifically

when he watches you his eyes are literally sparkling lol

he thinks it’s super cool that he’s learning about a real human sport from you

eventually becomes a manager for the team like lucifer, and takes lots of notes about what he observes, and his input becomes valuable and crucial to the team

rare moment when they get along but definitely fight for the bench when it comes to really big games

also likes practicing with you when you need independent practice before a big game or tournament bc of how serious and intense he can be

when watching your games in the human world he still takes notes and shares them with you as well as the RAD team

will bring numerous stress balls to squeeze to those games just in case so he doesnt um kill the ref or opposing team if they piss him off

simply wants to know if people who play volleyball are as good looking as you ;)

he doesnt understand why you’re into something that makes you sweaty and gross while you could be doing something else

Both original stories, and one-shots or personal fics that are associated with already created media!! Writing character backstories and personalities and stuff is also fun too! I day dream abt potential stories even more. Mmm daydream world so nice so warm so fun I read aswell!! Mostly fantasy books, or stories where animals are the protagonists. Think Warrior Cats. But my favorite book series has got to be Guardians of Ga'Hoole. Fantasy owl books, anyway! X Readers are also things I enjoy reading :) Again, s I m p Also gaming!!! Is something fun I do sometimes!!! Although it's usually Genshin Impact, or Wii Sports/Resort w// my little sister. Oh, also pokemon! I rlly like Primarina, Vaporeon, Sylveon and Vulpix/Ninetails! “Are you alright, Adrien?” Ladybug peered down at him in concern. Her arm was still wrapped around his waist after she had swung the two of them away from the rushing mob of people chasing him. 

Her warmth brushed against his side and Adrien shook his head to regain control of his thoughts. Clearing his throat once, he stuttered slightly as he rubbed the back of his neck, “Yeah, I’m fine,” his gaze shot down to her arm, feeling his cheeks turn a bright red before they jerked back up to her sparkling blue eyes.

Ladybug squeaked, promptly removing her arm as she shot him a weak smile. Her cheeks flamed as she murmured her apology, “S-sorry.”

“No, no,” Adrien chuckled quietly, already missing the warmth of her grasp around him, “It’s alright.”

Shaking her head once, the superheroine shot him a bright smile, “Well, I’m glad you’re alright! I was worried when I saw that crowd of people chasing after you.”

“Well, thank you for saving me,” he grinned back at her before speaking teasingly, “The life of a model can be pretty exhausting when your new pictures get released.”

Ladybug’s gaze drifted away from his own as her eyes took on a more dazed expression. She sighed rather quietly before murmuring almost dreamily, “Oh yeah, those pictures came out yesterday.”

Adrien blinked at her blankly for a moment, wondering if he heard her correctly. His mouth dropped open as his cheeks tinged pink. She couldn’t have said what he thought she said. There was no way Ladybug was a fan of his. The superheroine also seemed to have caught up with what she said. Her eyes snapping to his before they widened in what almost seemed like terror. He gulped once before speaking hopefully, “O-oh, so you saw them then?”

“No!” she shouted quickly, shaking her head forcefully, “I-I’ve just heard a lot of people talking about them. I-I don’t have a photo wall of you or anything. Pfft, that’d be strange,” Ladybug waved her hand in the air as her cheeks steadily grew darker.

A frown creased Adrien’s brow as he tried to figure out what she was saying. All he could really gather was that she didn’t have a secret wall dedicated to him. His tongue clicked as he murmured unconsciously, “That’s disappointing.”

“W-what is?” Ladybug’s blue eyes looked down at him almost fearfully.

“Uh,” his eyes darted around, trying to think of an excuse, “That you haven’t seen the photos yet! Yeah, I thought that they were pretty good and it’d be great to have a superhero for a fan,” he beamed at her as he snapped his fingers together.

The superheroine let out another small squeak and looked at him in wonder. In the next second, though, her expression turned more serious before she spoke, “Um, so did you need a lift home? I-I mean, that is if you’re going home.”

Adrien’s green eyes widened in hope. Ladybug carrying him home. That was an offer too good to resist. He gave her a shy, bashful smile before nodding his head, “If you wouldn’t mind, that is.”

“No, no, it’d be my pleasure!” she beamed back at him in return before scooping him up in her arms. Holding onto her tightly he let her swing them back to his house. Unfortunately, it didn’t take too long for him to be safely back in his bedroom. The trip passed by quickly since he was busy staring up into Ladybug’s concentrated face.

When they had safely landed in his bedroom, Adrien sighed happily, “Thanks again Ladybug for saving me and bringing me back home.”

“It was no problem, Adrien,” her eyes softened as she looked at him. 

Neither of the two moved for a while. Just staring at the other with gentle grins on their faces. He was the one who finally broke the comforting silence, stepping forward to hug the superheroine. Before he could embrace her, however, his phone clattered to the ground harshly. Adrien winced, about to bend down and pick it up when Ladybug quickly picked it up. She nibbled on her lip as she stared down at the phone, “It doesn’t look broken. I’ll just double-check the camera to make sure.”

The superheroine unlocked his phone and slid over to the camera. Well, that was weird. He was sure he put a lock on it. Adrien frowned, about to ask her how she got in when she made another adorable squeak of surprise. His brow furrowed even more as he asked, “What is it? Is it broken?”

“No, I just... um, sorry,” Ladybug shoved the phone back to him, her face a light pink as she avoided eye contact. 

Adrien slowly raised an eyebrow at her before glancing down at the device in his hand. Oh. Oh. She had found his camera roll. Specifically clicking on the album that had many photos dedicated to her. This time, he flushed with embarrassment, stuttering out a reply, “I-I, um-,”

Ladybug cut him off however, her eyes flaring at him in determination even as a bright blush continued to spread across her face, “I lied, before.”

He blinked at her in confusion, “Lied about what?”

“I had seen your pictures before,” she gulped in a harsh breath of air before continuing, “I-In fact, I-I may have them hung up on my wall at home.”

Adrien’s mouth dropped open, his heart pumping wildly in his chest. Was she serious? A wall dedicated to pictures of him. This had to be a joke. Rubbing the back of his neck, he stuttered slightly, “A-are you serious?”

“Mhm,” Ladybug nodded, her lips pinched into a tight line. 

“Wow,” he breathed out. Ladybug had a wall of him. It was a wonder he didn’t pass out right then and there. With a quiet, lovestruck sigh, he murmured, “T-that’s amazing.”

She giggled cutely and he grinned softly at her. The superheroine tucked a piece of loose hair back into her pigtail before nodding, “I-I’m really glad you have pictures of me too. It’s really sweet of you.”

Adrien shook his head to get rid of the haze clouding his thoughts though he was unable to stop his heart from fluttering. Eventually, he spoke, “W-who doesn’t have pictures dedicated to their favorite superheroine?”

Ladybug’s grin widened before she brushed a kiss against his cheek, whispering lightly in his ear, “Still, thank you, Adrien.”

He shivered lightly, chills racing down his spine as one of her pigtails brushed against his shoulder lightly. He looked down at her hazily, “U-uh, thank you too, Ladybug. A-and I’d love to see the photo wall you have of me too.”

She giggled, tapping on his nose gently, “I wish I could. Unfortunately, I have a secret identity to protect.”

“Uh-huh,” Adrien nodded at her dumbly.

Ladybug laughed once again before moving away from him much to his disappointment. She went over towards the window, nibbling on her lip as she peered up at him from beneath her lashes, “Well, goodnight, Adrien. I’m glad we saw each other today.”

“Me too,” he breathed back at her.

Sending the model one last smile, the superheroine swung her yo-yo out of his room, disappearing in a flash of red and black. Adrien let out a heavy sigh, collapsing back on his couch. He rubbed his eyes harshly, blinking up at his ceiling. What just happened?

Staring at the small, square window directly in your line of vision, you could see nothing but darkness-- vast darkness. 

You glanced at the mini clock resting on top of your wooden desk, only to see that barely five minutes had passed since you had last checked the time. Groaning, you face-planted into the palms of your hands, feeling your anxiety slowly invading your thoughts. 

It was 2:45am and you were not even close to finishing your studies. 

Your final exam was in a couple of hours (5 hours and 15 minutes to be precise), and despite your relentless studying for the past week and a half, you suddenly felt unprepared and... hopeless. You felt yourself digging your sharp fingernails into your skin and shaking both your legs simultaneously as you started to doubt all your work and effort. The worry didn’t seem to be disappearing anytime soon and your fright of the possibility of failure was unsettling. You tried to focus and stare at the numbers and letters that lay in front of you but you couldn’t seem to concentrate because of the immense chaos created by your panic.

Jungkook woke up to the consistent tapping noise on the floor that he had been hearing in his sleep. He jerked his head up from the irritation he felt from the constant noise. Tilting his head in confusion from the origin of the sound, he turned his head to the left side of the bed to see if you were awakened from the strange noise as well, which was when he noticed that your side of the bed was completely empty... 

Where is she? 

Jungkook scratched the top of his head, put on the pair of pants that were laid out on the edge of the bed, and headed towards the faint light that he saw from the corner of his vision. 

Squinting his eyes to adjust to the sudden change of brightness, Jungkook cocked his head as he leaned against the door frame of your study. 

Why is she up at this hour? 

Jungkook saw how panicked and frightened you looked as your whole body seemed to be shivering... not from the cold, but from something else. He saw how jittery you were and the way you held your hand to your mouth every so often so that you could chew off a bit of your fingernail. After examining your figure for a minute, he could tell you were worried... in fact, you seemed to be beyond worried... most likely, anxious. He automatically remembered about the exam that you needed to do well on in order to get an A in the class and could feel the radiation of fear and worry that emitted from your presence. 

Biting his lip, Jungkook was more worried than you... since you knew how bad it got when your anxiety built up, so he walked up behind you and gave you a warm back hug... praying that it would calm your nerves. 

“Oppa?! What are you doing?? I thought you were sleeping,” you said in shock from the sudden skin contact as you turned your head towards his direction.

“I was... until I heard your tapping... and the real question is: why are you still up? I thought you were sleeping next to me the entire time...”

You avoided looking into his eyes, reminded again of the importance of this exam. Jungkook deeply stared into your eyes and could see the helplessness inside of them. He could tell how stressed you were for this exam and he felt like it was his responsibility to relieve that pain.

“(y/n), look at me.” 

You stopped looking at the floor and instead, looked straight into your boyfriend’s eyes... knowing that every time you looked into them, you found a sense of comfort. 

“I know you’re having a tough time... but just know that this exam isn’t everything. Whether you ace it or fail it, everyone is still proud of you... I’m still proud of you. So don’t be too hard on yourself, okay? Or else I’ll start to get worried,” he said, chuckling at the last part. 

You nodded your head and without having to say anything, Jungkook took your hand in his, turned off your desk light with the other, and led you into your shared bedroom. Tucking yourself inside the warmth of the sheets as Jungkook stretched his arm across your body to turn off the dim lamp. 

Jungkook instinctively snuggled closer to you and you rested your head on top of his bare, broad chest as it rhythmically heaved up and down. You closed your eyes and made outlines along his abs as a form of consolidation. Jungkook smiled at your antics and looked down at the top of your head, relieved that you were finally able to relax.

You opened your eyes suddenly when you felt a vibration coming from Jungkook’s chest and you noticed that he had started to sing. Smiling and digging your head deeper into his chest, you recognized the melody of “Lost Stars,” one of the many songs that Jungkook had done a cover of... and it just so happened to be your personal favorite. 

Jungkook was already halfway through the song and your eyes started to feel heavy and droopy and you felt the symptoms of sleeping inching closer and closer towards you. And as you drifted off to sleep, your stress seemed to disappear and vanish from the depths of your mind.

OKAY sooo I'll keep this first one brief. My tribe is pretty cool. I love Jared, I'm a little bit worried though because 1) he knows I'm a snake and will be scared of me and 2) he'll prob be able to know I'm friends with Ashley, but otherwise, he's my number 1 on this tribe and my favorite person in the cast other than ash. Like I'm so blessed to be with him and I don't think he'd turn on me yet since we'll be loyal. This Nicole girl seeemd cool in her vid then never messaged me back. Dylan seems nice but I think he might have been in bermuda or somethin LOL i've def played with him before and have no clue from what.... Sammy is cool, know him from before. And then uhhh that weird kid who had a three second vid, I hope he's out first. Ashley is on the red tribe I think? I LOVE HER she's literally my best ORG friend and she hasn't played in forever. Hope we get to a swap or merge without her doing something dumb first akhfdj. Patrick seems familiar I know he's old school and won HOS so that's cool. Eve seems cool never played with her but is that the same eve that does the challenge minis bc if so she knows im gonna pop off. Keaton good. Isaac good lol although I'm scared he'll come after me bc one time in his confessionals for a game we were in (i think indonesia?) eh talked about how big of a threat I was oops. maybe ashley will get him out for me LOL. and that austin guy seems cute, second game only awww. Okay so- Howdy! This is your cowboy speaking. I am going to go over my general strategy for the game and what I have done so far. I want to play a very physically/socially-centered meathead kind of game- a James Clement if you will. I want to try and win every challenge that I participate in and if we lose, I want to have 1 alliance with the strongest players that I will be 100% unwaveringly loyal to. Pretty basic stuff. So my alliance is with Owen and Sammy, which oddly enough- the last 2 Big Brother games I played, they were the people who got me out, respectively. Owen/Dana/Quill in BOTS and Sammy in Legacy3. So it's a risky group but this is the strategy that I outlined for myself so I'm gonna stick to it. They will be my F3 and I will literally ride with them until the wheels fall off. Until the hooves fall off, in western speak. I have no clue if they will be loyal to the end or try to target me on some point, but I have to try to keep them from eating the apple, because I'm not going to flip as my one-dimensional gameplan will not allow that! I confirmed with both of them that this is a trio they are good with, and the Pika-Dudes were born. I think it would be pretty rewarding for me if I could actually get them to stick together and make it to the end. But they could have other alliances on this tribe and vote me out this round for all I know, but so far my perspective is that they seem loyal Lastly, I suggested that we do the song "Before He Cheats" for the challenge, and that's the first time a tribe has ever taken my suggestion for the song, so I'm happy with that. I'll check back in if we lose the comp :)

okay so first confessional...honestly I am super excited to play with some of the people in this game. Well so far it seems that Aidan, Chloe, Nick and I are in same mind set of voting off Payton. We shall see if it actually goes through. It’s really sad Bc the judges are all biased so now we have to vote someone out. Editing isn’t easy at all DX. I’m so sorry Payton if you’re do get voted out. You should move to the us to survive a bit longer ;-;

So my back’s been killing me all day. I thought it was from sleeping funny but clearly its from carrying this damn tribe.

This weekend was so flipping busy. I'm trying to get caught up at work before vacation and Matthew is here. I don't feel like I've gotten to bond with my tribe much. I'm glad to see Dylan A. We've not really gotten to play together much because he always gets voted out early in games we play but I don't think he will come for me and he's a bigger target than I. I like my tribe a lot. Jared is really funny and Sammy kicked butt in the challenge. I've talked to Owen a tad. I'm glad we didn't lose because I deserved to go home. I didn't get back from Erica's bday thing until 4 and then it wouldn't let me use the song I bought some it is copyrighted so I only had 30 sec then I couldn't get it to film horizontal. I'm a big ol mess. Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaw! 😂

Whew okay so I don't know anyone on my tribe (kinda) which is good but also a bit scary since its just 6 of us. Overall, I feel like everyone's a bit quiet and not too talkative. That being said, they might be talking a bunch in PMs. Right now, I am trying to stay under the radar and just be friendly with everyone. I really like Austin, Eve and Patrick right now. Keaton and Isaac are nice too but I dont really talk to them as much. If we would have lost this first immunity challenge I would have definitely wanted to vote for one of them. No official alliances yet but its still early so I think its okay. THANK FUCKING GOD WE WON. Okay well, we got 2nd but thats a win in my eyes. I just really hope I make it to jury and I will be happy so not being first boot is GREAT. Im trying to get this damn idol but I cant catch a fucking break and my ass keeps getting zapped... Am I disappointed with my tribe? No. Am I disappointed with the outcome? Yes. I'm not a fan of these subjective challenges because the criteria literally changes everytime and all the judges (who are usually unqualified, uneducated and underemployed) seem to like to harp in on the most random shit like- I can't. And the fact that I, someone who never edited a fucking video before, had to do that shit just shows how useless my tribe is overall. Either useless or lazy but either way... I'm predicting a Matsing performance from this tribe. Why the fuck did I get placed here? So far people are fine but I don't /love/ anyone. Maybe I could put in more effort but like Chloe/Nick/Vi all seem fine and fun but like nobody I'm too connected with yet. I'm sure it'll come. Boys never really piqued your interest. You weren’t at school to date, you were at school to learn, to prepare yourself for the vast amount of opportunities in the working world. Not like you were a hermit under its shell under a rock, you let the weekends take its course and hung out with friends sometimes, but you were known as the one who studied all the time.

Like, all the time. During class, in the library, in cafes, at the park, you name it. If you were somewhere, you probably had your nose deep in your notebook. You had that reputation at Shutoku, but you were quite thankful that it wasn’t necessarily a bad label on you, right?

I mean, it did spark up an interest in a certain classmate of yours.

You shared many of the same classes with the famous Midorima Shintarou. In each class, your seats were always near each other - in the same column, diagonally, but never next to each other. You didn’t know him on a personal level, but it was hard to ignore him when he was the only one in class with green hair and towered over you like a baby giraffe. Sometimes you’d exchange acknowledging nods, but that was about it.

Even with the minimal amount of knowledge known about each other, you always felt his eyes on you.

You never dared look back, though. You knew it was him because he looked at you with the same intensity he had during his games and it bore holes into the back of your skull. Even without peripherally looking at him, you could still feel his stare, and it sent shivers down your spine every day.

But today, you weren’t having it. You ignored all his stares, all your shivers, hell, you were even a little flattered that he gave you the time of day and attention that no other guy did, but today, you were not in the mood.

You both sat in your respective desks during your math class today. It was a few days before the big midterm, and you wanted to absorb all the information on this review you could get.

But you could feel it. You could feel his eyes from the desk behind you and it made you so jittery and uneasy that you couldn’t focus on the review and it frustrated you. Your cheeks were pink, hands shaking, and your eye even twitched a little.

Why did he stare at you, anyways? And you, of all people!? You were going to find out.

Your teacher finally dismissed the class for the day. Immediately, before you even bothered to pack up your stuff, your torso swung to face your four-eyed admirer. Your brows were furrowed, trying to look angry, but when your eyes met, you quickly faltered.

You never noticed how green his eyes were before.

You were never one to interact with strangers much, so you froze in your place when your eyes met. You thought he would be the one to give you a snarky remark, but he was lost in your gaze, too.

Internally, he was panicking; after all these months, you finally caught him. But he refused to show you any sort of weakness, let alone even admit he was looking at you.

After a long thirty seconds, you finally broke the spell.

“M-Midorima-san!” you sputtered. You cursed at yourself for stuttering.

“What?” he asked, a bit annoyed.

You were a bit taken back by his boldness, but you stayed strong. “Why do you keep staring at me?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Yes, you do! I catch you staring all the time!” you lied.

Classmates packing up turned to look at you two bickering. Midorima blushed and immediately covered your mouth with his hands.

“Be quiet, will you! People are going to start assuming, like what you’re doing now!”

You pulled away from his large, engulfing hands and pouted. “Not until I get my answer!” Midorima clicked his tongue, removing his hands and rushing to go to the next class. Coincidentally, you were in that class, also, so you followed suit. “H-Hey, wait!!”

Throughout the whole day, it was your turn to stare at him until he burned, giving him a taste of his own medicine. Midorima’s eye twitched, suddenly realizing why you were so antsy today, but he wasn’t going to admit it to you. You did this for the remaining three class you both had for the day, and you even dared to follow him to practice.

You sat on the benches and watched the team. A few other students - mostly girls - sat near you to watch, also, fawning over how cool the team was. You had to admit, watching them was pretty intense, but you had one goal, and that was to make Midorima confess to you why he looked at you the way that he does.

Takao wiped his brow as he stared up at the benches. “Oi, Shin-chan! I didn’t know you had fans!”

“What?” Midorima didn’t take his eyes off of the basketball hoop as he flawlessly shot his three-pointers.

“A secret admirer has been staring at you this whole time! A cute one, at that. They tutored me for a bit, actually. How do you know them?”

“What?” Midorima repeated. This time, he turned his attention to his teasing friend and followed his eyes.

“Gah!” Midorima exclaimed. His cheeks flushed brightly when he saw you, your eyes meeting once again. “W-What are you doing here!?”

“I want my answer, Midorima-san!”

“Eh?” Takao raised a brow. “What are they -”

“I’m going to go shower.”

“Wha- but practice isn’t over yet!?”

“I’m not feeling well,” a blushing Midorima ran to the locker rooms to change. You groaned, running to go meet him outside of the door once he was finished.

You weren’t going to let him get away.

Midorima took his sweet time changing. He showered, deep-cleaned his glasses, and even steamed his tracksuit. After over an hour of killing time in the locker room, he finally left the locker room.

“Midorima-san.”

He jumped at the voice behind him. He turned to see you waiting patiently against the lockers.

“I-I don’t have time for your questions. I have an exam to study for,” he lied.

“Oh, me too. We are in the same class, you know,” your mouth curved into a teasing smile.

Midorima’s cheeks heated up for the tenth time today. “Then stop wasting time and let’s go.”

“H-Huh? Go where?”

“Do you want to study or not?” Midorima quickly turned away to walk towards the doors. You followed closely behind him.

The walk to the study spot was long and awkward. He chose some place outside of school, so you both walked in silence for quite some time. Youu dropped the revenge act and now you two completely avoided each other. It wasn’t until you both arrived at your destination that you finally spoke up.

“You like to study here, too?” you asked. Midorima saw your eyes twinkle at the caramel latte poster. You heard him make some weird noise of confirmation and you followed him inside.

When the two of you sat at a table, you both got to studying right away. It avoided any and all awkward conversations that could potentially be brought up. You were way too nervous to bring up the whole reason you followed him to the cafe in the first place, so you decided to drop it and just focus on your exam.

You were so enthralled with the review questions that you never noticed the small glances Midorima gave you now and then, and he was thankful. No matter how many times he tried to stop himself, you drew him back in every time, and he hated that he had no control over it at all. It frustrated him to no end, but after so long, he came to terms with his infatuation with you (he refused to admit that he ‘liked’ you).

After thirty minutes of trying to figure out a problem and another thirty minutes of deciding whether or not you should swallow your pride, you finally decided to buck up the courage to ask your new friend for help.

You looked up to ask your question, but your eyes met with his once more. His face was much closer this time; so close that you could see the gold speckles in his irises. His eyes widened, embarrassed of being caught for the second time that day, and he cursed to himself, but he couldn’t move. You were so close, just inches away. You could feel the fire in his eyes and it warmed up your entire body, not forgetting to warm your cheeks.

You broke eye contact when you felt his taped fingers tickle your hair strands.

“E-EH? W-What’s your hand doing there!?”

“N-Nothing!”

“Is there something in my hair!?”

“No! I, uh -”

“A-And you were staring at me!”

“I was not!”

“I just caught you! Don’t lie!”

“I’m not -!”

“Shin-chan?”

In the midst of your bickering, you both didn’t notice the basketball team walk in, staring with raised brows. You both turned back to look at each other and quickly receded to your seats as if nothing happened.

“Wow, Shin-chan ~” Midorima narrowed his eyes at Takao’s teasing tone. He threw his arms over Midorima’s shoulder and shot you a wink. “Why, hello there, _____-chan!”

You were no stranger to Takao. You tutored him once, and he was the first person you had fun tutoring. You gave him a shy smile. “Hello, Kazunari-kun.”

Midorima’s frowned at your informality. When did you two get on a first-name basis? And why were you smiling like that?

“What are you all doing here?” Midorima asked.

“We should be asking you that question,” Otsubo looked at him sternly with his arms crossed. He was so tall and intimidating that you sunk in your seat.

“Now now, senpai ~ We were going home and we saw you two in the window, so we thought we’d stop by and say hello! Looks like we interrupted something, though.”

You blushed. “O-Oh, no, there was nothing -”

“No need to explain, _____-chan ~ We’re leaving anyways,” Takao removed his arm from Midorima’s shoulder and lead the team to the door. “Have fun on your date, you two!”

“Date?” you and Midorima said simultaneously. You both turned your heads to look at each other when the team left.

“Is this…?” you began, but you trailed off.

“I was going to come her regardless if you came with me.” You smiled at the small pout on his lips. “You just followed me.”

“You didn’t stop me, though.”

“Tch….”

You both went back to studying after calming down from the scene. As if it wasn’t already hard for Midorima to concentrate, it sure was now. He couldn’t get the word ‘date’ out of his head after Takao teased him. This wasn’t a date, was it? All you two were doing was studying.

Together.

In a public setting.

With food and drinks.

…. This wasn’t a date.

Midorima sighed and glanced up at you again. Loose strands were covering your face as you took your notes. After all his time paying attention to you from afar, he came to like when your hair was tucked behind your ears. Instinctively, he reached to tuck your hair for the second time, but this time without any hesitation.

When you felt the tape lightly scratch your cheeks, you looked up. Midorima’s face was as close as the first time, but when your eyes met, he didn’t falter. You felt the tape graze the shell of your ear as he tucked your strands.

“M-M-Midorima-san?”

He didn’t respond. The feel of his touch lingered on your skin after it left. He cleared his throat and took a sip of his coffee, avoiding eye contact.

Midorima was someone you never understood. If there was anyone more studious, shy, and stubborn than you, it was him, and you found it charming. You came to accept that he probably wasn’t going to admit that he liked you, but you were ok with that.

With your non-dominant hand, you grabbed a hold of his across the table and gave it a light squeeze. You felt him tense up at your touch, and you smiled. You were too embarrassed to look at him, so you went back to your notes. He returned your gesture by running his thumb across the back of your hand.

He thanked the Gods that Cancer was number two today.

Hii u lovely creature. First i just wanted to say i love ur work, this last chapter was...quite shocking since well how Jk was talking and reacting towards the OC. Im really not good with theories really and specially if i gotta write them down in english but i was thinking since u said this would have 3 parts that maybe...just maybe was like one part of each of the characters? Like one were we view in detail the feelings of the OC, then JK and the Jimin? Maybe? Idk sorry. Anyway love ur work :)
