It’s been 0 weeks since the World Cup finale, 17 weeks to go until sgp and 34 weeks to go until next season.

Diana's Voice: Each year, every member must attend at least two Parliament sessions for their State. Attending these sessions do not fulfill engagement requirements.
Diana's Voice: It's critical that our family shows a committment to our Faith. As Head of the Jacoban Church, I'm expecting every member to attend services at least twice a month. This does not fulfill engagement requirements.
Diana's Voice: A proper education is essential for young family members as they learn how to continue the family legacy. A new and more robust Regal Excellency Curriculum has been put in place. New highly-quailified tutors will be assigned to all families with school-aged children replacing previous tutors and curriculums.
Diana's Voice: As for young family members, we want them to enter, not only the family, but the Institution that upholds our legacy. To do so, new parents will be required to present the new baby to the Monarch at Willington Palace. A small ceremony including the Trilogy of Praise will be anointed onto the child by an Eye of Jacob. The child's Watcher's Guides may also be present.
Diana's Voice: Before I continue, I believe it's important for me to inform you that enforcement of these new procedures will be strict. Violations will result in a fine to your Duchy's treasury which is public record. This is not to be seen as a punishment, but incentive to do your part for your family and country.

Diana's Voice: As you all know, appearance plays a major role in our work, especially for female members. We are officially implementing a formal dress code and each family will be assigned a stylist to help everyone adhere to the new code.

I definitely want to detail what happened my 12th house profection year and my last solar return that had a 12th house stellium because honestly it can help people navigate it. It’s legitimately insane and it makes you feel more insane if you have it natally along with 8th house placements. That is not the year to start experimenting with substances that’s all I’m gonna say now.

Not me crying because I had a really bad beginning of 2023 and signed up for a program that would proceed to make the rest of my 2023 rough and I spent the whole first three months of 2023 trying to pick myself up and motivate myself like "I'm gonna make it through this year if it kills me" and well look at that I made it
#timeline for anyone not in the loop:#Late 2022: Moved a thousand miles from home to Oregon for a new job. I love LOVE the area.#new job gives me very nice salary so I get myself a nice apartment all to myself#January 2023: Company I moved for decides to close Oregon location. Offers me choice to relocate again to CA this time#*panic because I can't afford my apartment without that salary and I'm still on a lease for 7 more months. Also I love Oregon so much*#*continue to panic because there are no other companies nearby doing that same type of niche work so I'd be giving up my career if i stay*#February: Ultimately decide to stay in OR and figure it out. Look into my options#March: Sign up for an accelerated program to learn software engineering#Interview for it and get accepted. Take out loan to pay rent so I can stay in apartment where I'm settled and comfortable and can focus#My last day at my old company comes and I am officially unemployed#April: Start the program. Most bootcamps are 3 months. This one is 7-8 months. Up to 11ish if you struggle and need to repeat some sections#It's like 70-80 hours a week of commitment to both classes and homework#Mentally prepare myself for the rest of 2023 to be hell and possibly early 2024#Still no idea how well I'll pick up software engineering so I might struggle and take up to 11 months#May through November: thankfully it turns out I'm really good at picking up the logic. I successfully complete in 7 months#December: My brain shuts down for a bit to rest and recover. Still unemployed but feeling optimistic and ready to hit the job hunt#Bring it on 2024. #song of the day#did I ever tell y'all that around the end of September / beginning of October I went through and listened to every Brooks & Dunn song?#every non-Christmas song at least. full non-holiday-special discography#several times as I went through I found a song I didn't think I recognized and then when I started playing it I knew the words#this is one of them!#it's off their 2001 album 'Steers & Stripes' which--this was an odd thing to realize when I first saw it#y'all know that post that's like '9/11 didn't actually start the US nationalism. there's a reason 9/11 happened in 2001'?#Steers & Stripes came out in April of 2001 and the song 'Only in America' was already on it#(and also you know. the album is called 'Steers & Stripes'. a little embarrassing frankly)#an interesting marker in tracking the shift in country music from 'love my home and people; hate The Man' to only 'love My Country'#anyway I think I got just enough time with the song before 9/11 for it to be familiar once I heard it again this October#but it didn't get enough air time after 9/11 for me to recognize it before the music started up#a shame really because I do like it#anyway it's the song of the day because I was singing it while I made dinner and then I burnt my finger halfway through the song#and broke off for a really undignified yelp and scared the cat :( poor Thomas

#i Technically have an interview but the positions mine already its formality#then i guess i start receptionist training?????#and have a job????? part time and only 2 days a week but still a job. with a little money (est 11/hr)#i dont. u ever start piecing together why everything is wrong with you
#not everything actually but#so they stuck my brother in ib classes this year (i also took them when i was in 11-12 grade)#and realizing how badly those and ap classes were draining me and making my depression worse#and how much i wanted to jump off a bridge daily. and then i graduated and took no break before uni#and then the pandemic hit. and then i got even more stressed out bc couldnt see anyone + couldnt be outside so more depressed#and then when we finally get back to campus theres no real transition back and we lost a lot of time to learn material#so having to rush everything and struggle even more to get through my last year and a half and the entirety#of senior year ready to kill me and then also trying to struggle to get help from the counselors#while professors batter me with useless advice and then no accommodations bc i couldnt get that w/o being enrolled#in disability and i couldn't do that if i couldnt get an appt with the psych working with the counselors (i started trying in october#hadnt actually even gotten my first appointment until april that year bc the psych didnt even try to attend my first appt?#*)#so yeah.#im surprised im still here but thats also barely true.#running on fumes for 6 years does that doesnt it.
