Beautiful with you Ch.3

So I'm going to have to post this in two parts cause apparently there's a character limit for each post so I'll link the second part under the fic. Thank you everyone for the likes and reblogs I love how much you guys are liking this story. Hope you enjoy

Trigger warnings: Mention of death, scars and lots of smut

Ch.1 Ch.2

You let out an exhausted sigh as you open the door for Nina, Regina and tail-wagging Alexander. Nina walks in, holding gently onto Alexander’s collar; she wasn’t too much taller than him so when she was down or exhausted he would aid her in just getting to her destination. You hold out your arm gesturing for Regina to go first, “Such a gentleman,” smiling that smile that only Regina George can. “With what you date, it’s not hard”….And the smile was gone from her face and now on yours as she glared at you. Your home was just that, a home, it wasn’t fancy or that big but you put pride in making it a safe, loving environment for Nina to grow up in. While most of the students at North Shore had their TikTok feeds show them the latest music and popular trends, yours was full of storage DIY tips and tricks, mum hacks for keeping the little ones happy, and the occasional sketchbook tour from artists with styles you like. “Well this is… cosy” Regina commented standing in the middle of the lounge room which opened up into the kitchen. You hook Nina’s bag up on the back of the front door, looking Regina’s way “Expecting a mansion like your own?” you walk past her to Nina. You could practically feel the mocking face she was making behind your back as you were bending down to Nina, and Nina’s precious giggles while looking behind you confirmed it, you rolled your eyes but kept a closed smile on your face so Nina knew you guys were joking… kind of. “How about you go put on your comfy clothes Princess and I’ll make you a snack?” As an answer Nina takes off running, one arm up in the air like a flying superhero while just announcing “FOOD!” in what you could only call her food goblin voice. “And let Alexander outside for a potty break please,” from down the hall you hear “Urgh fine,” in a tone like you were asking the world of her. You stand back up to your full height and give Regina a dirty look, “She’s known you for barely more than an hour and I’m already getting attitude.” Regina scrunched up her nose with a proud smile, “We have a bond.” Trying to rub it in your face. All you could do was shake your head and start making snacks.

Three episodes of Bluey and a PB&J later and little Nina was sound asleep on Regina’s lap. Regina motioned to the TV with an open palm, while you gathered the small unconscious body into your arms, “This show is just downright amazing! Bingo is so cute she reminds me so much of me” spoken proudly by the blond. You scoff, “Oh please, you are Muffin through-and-through. Spoilt and cranky.” You acted like you didn’t take notice of Regina’s dropped jaw, but inside you were pissing yourself laughing. You tuck a still comatose Nina into her bed and ever so gently brush the hair from her closed eyes, leaning down to lightly kiss her forehead, Alexander splayed out down at the end of the little one’s bed like he does every day and night. You pat his head which he nuzzles into “Come get me when she wakes up, okay Bud?” Turning to leave you see Regina leaning against the doorframe witnessing the whole thing, she didn’t say anything as she moved out of the way as you slowly close Nina’s door, leaving it slightly ajar. You both walk back out into the kitchen in silence, you do as to not wake Nina, Regina however because of the question she wanted to ask. You start tidying up the small mess left from the snack eating when Regina spoke up, “Hey, can I ask you something?”

You knew what it was going to be. Letting out a large sigh you signal Regina to follow you. In for a penny, in for pound they say, and Regina was in for a heavy load. You lead her into your room and close the door behind you, there wasn’t a large chance of Nina waking but you can’t take any risks with this, she’s been through enough. You motion for Regina to take a seat on your Queen-sized bed, which she does and you sit next to her, taking and releasing one last large breath you let Regina in on everything. “We don’t have parents. Well at least not anymore.” You reach under the bed and pull out a large cardboard box and hand it to Regina who slowly opens it. She pulls out a yellowed newspaper dated back over three years ago, the main story, ‘Drunk driver crashes into family of 4 - kills 2 critically injured 1’, Regina’s hand covers her mouth in devastation while looking over the large picture of what was your family’s car turned into a scrap heap, crumpled into half its normal size. “I can’t remember the accident, I can’t remember the year leading up to it either.” Regina turns over the page and whimpers and her eyes land on a picture of a younger you with a purposefully blurred-out large piece of shrapnel sticking out of your right rib, little Nina can be seen screaming with a bloodied up head. Regina’s eyes scrunched as she saw the position you were pinned in, her head turning this way and that, trying to make sense of it, her face going pale, expression dropping as it clicked. “You shielded Nina.” She whispered looking at you, but you couldn’t do the same as the tears started falling silently from your eyes, you stare up at the ceiling trying to blink them away.

“I-.” your voice gets caught in your throat “I get flashes of the lights coming towards my side of the car, I still can hear my Mum’s scream before the impact but that’s it. That’s all I can remember.” You let out a sob you were trying so hard to hold back “I can’t remember being told I had a little sister for the first time, it’s just gone.” Regina sets aside the newspaper and gets down on her knees in front of you “May I?” her eyes go to the affected rib. With a sniffle, you nod silently, not able to meet her eyes. She reaches for the hem of your black long sleeve and slowly pushes it up, you help her by just taking the whole shirt off in the end. Her eyes went wide with shock as she sees the scarred flesh take up half of your toned stomach and stretch all the way round to the other side of your back. Without thinking Regina leans in, kissing all around the old wound, a soft moan leaving your lips as your hand instinctively tangles into her long blond hair, whispering her name. When she hears her name on your lips she lifted her head from your midsection to push hers against yours, her lips so soft against your own you subconsciously hoped that you’d be able to spend the rest of your life kissing these lips. The kissing was heating up and you found yourself reaching to lift Regina on top of your lap straddling you. You both continue to kiss once more, Regina starting to slowly grind herself on your thighs, reaching up to release your long dark hair from the hairband that held it up, twirling your long strands around her fingers, tugging your head back to expose your neck for her to feast on with her lips, licking from your collar bone all the way up to your jaw line, releasing a moan from your throat Regina pulls back “You know the colour system right?”, It took you a little bit to register what she was talking about since you were out of it from the arousal she stirred up inside you, but you eventually nodded “Of course,” “Good” Without warning you were pushed back onto the bed, Regina moving off you to start unbuttoning your jeans “Colour?”

Time to celebrate Freddie by yapping about him. Fuck this going to take a long time.

Alright, first off, amazing fucking singer, I have not heard a person who has a more amazing voice then Freddie fucking Mercury. He was the best at singing, he could play piano, he could play a bit of guitar. He wrote amazing songs a lot of which became massive hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, Save Me, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and many other ones that I will cry if I hear them start playing in public. And speaking of Crazy Little Thing Called Love, he wrote that in ten minutes in the fucking bathtub, AND I'M PISSED OFF THAT THAT SCENE DIDN'T GET INTO THE MOVIE.

And performing live he was the best. I normally can't sit down and focus on watching one thing for a long time, I usually have to be on my phone at the same time, but when I'm watching Queen concerts I can watch the full thing without needing to look at my phone and without getting distracted because it's just so fucking beautiful. The only times I would want to go on my phone while watching them is to yap about how amazing it is on Tumblr. He was a fucking god when he performed live, and I could enjoy any song if he was singing it, because his voice was purely majestic and amazing. It has been said by multiple people that Queen stole the show, and that is definetely true. Freddie had such a big presence on stage when performed and he could get anyone to sing along with him which is proven by the ay-oh segments and how people sing and dance along to the songs.

And he has other talents outside of singing and piano and all that. He also earned a degree in graphic art and design and can draw really good. He designed the Queen logo himself and it is one of the prettiest logos I have seen, and it has meanings behind it. The fairies is to represent Freddie being a virgo, the lions are Roger and John being Leos and Brian is the crab for Cancer. There's the Q and the crown in the middle for Queen, the pheonix in the back pulling everything together, making it look cool and making them seem as strong as they are, and the crab is on fire to represent Brian being hot as hell (jk. although that should be true). The logo is so fucking pretty and detailed and I am proud to say I have a giant one of it hanging from my wall.

Freddie was really outgoing and exotic on stage and it was amazing, and even though he was still kind of like that offstage, it's known that he was also pretty shy and sweet and I fucking love that. He was unique and strong and headstrong and everything but he was also sweet and kind and shy and insercure about things and I love that because it shows that hes human which he is and sometimes people don't remember that because of how incredible on stage he was. It's something people forget about a lot of celebrities. I don't like that he was insecure about things that I honestly love about him, like his teeth because his smile is so pretty, but I love how it shows that he's just some normal guy with so much talent.

He was so sweet. I heard somewhere that apparently that sometimes he would see on the tv that people were struggling financially he would anounmosulflglyy send them $10'000 or something to help them out. I'm saying apparently because I haven't fact checked it or anything but I choose to believe that because it's really cute and sweet. There was also a story where he got introduced to someone who was with their mum and he was kind of shy and stuff and later he went to a vending machine thing where you can get trinkets and he got one that matches with another one. Then he went back to the mum and gave her one and asked her to give it to her daughter and that IS SO FUCKING CUTEEEE. The girl was so lucky to have a lucky trinket from Freddie Mercury and then had one that matches?! AAAAAA.

He could stand up for himself really well as well despite the fact that he was kind of shy. There was a time when Queen was recording in a recording studio and the Sex Pistols were recording near them. Sid Vicious randomly came into their recording studio and started being a dick and annoying them and all that shit and Freddie went up to him called him Simon Ferocious which Sid didn't like and then pushed him out the door which was amazing. There was another time with a fan when he was eating dinner and a fan came up to him with a piece of paper to sign and a pen and pretty much shoved in his face. Freddie told him to leave him alone because he was eating. When he finished he went up to the fans table and lectured him on not being rude and having manners and then signed the paper for him. Good on him. In my opinion that was the right thing to do. I know other celebrities have done this before but one time there was a fight happening at one of the concerts and he stopped the entire concert to break it up and told them they were ruining the show for everyone.

He is also one of the most determined, strong and headstrong people I have ever heard of as well. Towards the end when he was really sick he told the band to write songs for him to record because he just wanted to keep singing until he died. One of my favourite stories of him is when he was recording The Show Must Go On he was so sick he could barely stand and Brian didn't think he could do it. Freddie told Brian "I'll fucking do it darling," then he had some vodka and finished the song in one go. In my opinion that is one of the best performances he has done just fucking listen to it and you'll see. There's a reason that's one of my fav songs.

He also apparently never complained about being sick and eventually went off of his aids meds because he already knew he was going to die and just accepted it.

He loved cats as well and that's super sweet to me. He had ten cats, Tiffany, Delilah, Miko, Romeo, Tom, Jerry, Dorothy, Goliath, Lily and Oscar. Delilah was Freddie's favourite and he made a song for her. Tiffany's my favourite. He also dedicated his solo album "Mr Bad Guy" to all the cats and cat lovers of the world.

HE LOVES HIS HUSBAND AND IT FUCKING SHOWS. Freddie and Jim got each other rings and called each other husband even though they weren't legally married, and Jim said that one day they got into a fight because Freddie wasn't wearing his ring, and after that day Freddie always wore it and never took it off. One time Freddie was having a party and Jim had work the next day so he went to bed and he was almost asleep when he heard Freddie come in with a group of people he was showing around he heard Freddie say to them, "everyone be quiet, my husband's asleep." Jim also did some woodwork stuff and Freddie would ask Jim to make lots of things, and one time he asked him to make some wooden box thing and he gave it to Jim and in the box was some of the original lyrics from some songs.

He was a really good friend as well. He had some friends that would all call each other drag names and one of those friends was Elton John. Elton's drag name was Sharon and Freddie's was Melina. One time Elton saw a piece of artwork that he liked and after Freddie died he got a package that was the artwork and it was from Freddie. On it is said, "To Sharon from Melina" There might have been more on it but I can't remember. Elton cried.

I was reading and watching some things on Freddie yesterday and there were a lot of people who knew him or met him personally talking about him, and when asked what he was really like, they would all say he was a wonderful, kind, sweet guy.

I love him so fucking much you don't even understand he was one of the most gorgeous human beings to have ever existed. I know I have some irl friends on here but they prob won't read this so I'm just gonna say I love him more than some of my irl friends. Not saying more than the ones on here, but some of them.

Charles could have strangled his best friend as he was still pissed off at the fact he had been demoted to passenger princess. They had been on the road for what felt like an eternity and he swore he could see some gray hairs forming in the mirror from Pierre’s driving. Right now? You wouldn’t have known he was a Formula One Driver. Somehow, he managed to hit every single pot hole on the road and at one point Charles thought they were going to drive straight into a large tree but no matter how much Charles protested Pierre would not let him take over.

“You do know we are in the middle of nowhere right?” the Monégasque huffed, checking his phone to see that the signal was practically non-existent.

“Yep,” Pierre smirked, refusing to take his eyes off the road, “you need a break from reality and where better to recharge than somewhere away from everything? And, if we are lucky, no one will even care who we are.”

Charles rolled his eyes at the comment, but deep down he knew his best friend was right. Over the last few weeks he had fans turning up at his home address, which was a step too far. Charles didn’t mind stopping in the street to take pictures and sign things, but showing up at his home was damn right disrespectful.

This season had been a write off to say the least. Starting with two DNFs was not what anyone had planned, so the young driver found himself snapping at people he cared about because of the performance stress that he quickly found himself under.

“Four weeks in the woods, lucky me,” Charles scoffed, running his hand over his face. Staring out of the window, he watched as they drove through the town. He couldn’t help but laugh as the bright red Purosangue was drawing the attention of everyone they passed. Maybe taking the Ferrari suv wasn’t the smartest idea his best friend had ever had.

“Still think this is the perfect car to keep a low profile?” Charles asked in amusement. “Nous ne sommes pas à Monaco maintenant Pierre. We are not in Monaco now, Pierre.”

“Okay, this wasn’t my best idea,” Pierre huffed, admitting Charles was right once again.

They both just hoped that things would be calm once they checked into the lodge, even though they couldn’t check in until later that afternoon.

Their trip could only go one of two ways; complete shit or amazing and just what they both needed. Charles silently prayed that this break was exactly what he needed to relax and recharge for the rest of the season. The last thing he wanted was to be hounded by fans with every step he made. Normally he would have spent the summer break with his mum, two brothers and their partners but for some reason something told him to agree to going to California with his best friend. He couldn’t figure out why he had such a strong pull to the small town he had never heard of, but it was as if his heart was guiding his decisions.

Letting out a long breath he rested his head against the window of the car, dropping his gaze to the phone that had been disregarded in his lap, thankful that the phone signal and data connection had started to pick up the further they drove into town. At least he wasn’t fully cut off from the world.

They were surrounded by a vast amount of trees varying in shapes, sizes, and colors. The welcome sign that sat at the side of the road was surrounded by perfectly kept rose bushes, the bright paint standing out against the shades of light pink and green. It was obvious to him that this town took pride in their appearance to the outside world, but it was the name that made Charles smile.

Welcome to Charming.

Once again, there was the pull he felt when first deciding to go on this trip. It was bugging him because he had never been to this small town before but it was like he had a connection to it in a past life. The moment they crossed the town line his body instantly relaxed, there was no other way to describe the feeling other than being at home.

As they continued on the road, Charles noticed that all of the buildings had a similar look to them. Each one was a different color with perfectly maintained flower boxes hanging from each window all bursting with a contrasting color of plants. The whole place looked like a toddler had been let loose with tins of paint.

He turned his gaze to the side, noting that the vast forest was now in the rear view, once again everything felt familiar to him, like he had been to this place in a dream. He was going to say something to Pierre but chose to bite his tongue instead, knowing his best friend would rip the shit out of him for saying something so ridiculous. On their right there was a large lake that housed way too many boats for either of them to count, along with a mini golf course at the water's edge. This was like a place you would only find in books.

“So does everything around here revolve around that lake?” Charles asked, quickly glancing over at Pierre who just shrugged.

“How am I meant to know?” he laughed.

“Well, you did book this trip mate,” Charles said, rolling his eyes at the Frenchman.

“Spose you do have a point there,” Pierre hummed, dropping his gaze to his phone checking he was still on the right road as the sat nav had suddenly gone quiet. Charles turned his attention back to their surroundings, from first glance he could tell this was going to be a tight knit community, due to how he watched people in the street greeting each other like life long friends and to be honest they probably were. “I believe there is also a dirt bike track and a karting track,” Pierre smiled, tapping his thumb against the steering wheel, “from what I’ve heard this town is usually booming at the height of summer. I’m sure we will find plenty to do and plus there’s a beach not too far from here.”

“So if this place is ‘booming’ in summer, why did you think it would be the best place for a quiet get away?” He laughed, cocking his brow at his best friend.

Right now the town seemed like it was only full of locals but if during the height of summer this was a popular tourist attraction it would mean neither of them would get a moment's peace and they might have well stayed in Monaco.

He didn’t miss the eye roll from Pierre. “I checked online and it looked like they have had quite a few storms recently which has caused the town to be pretty quiet. Normally the place is packed come the start of June,” Pierre nodded as they turned into the car park to a quaint bar.

“If we get mobbed by fans I am coming for you!” Charles half smiled but he couldn’t shake the feeling that this break wasn’t going to go how Pierre envisioned it.

“I’d like to see you try, Leclerc,” Pierre chuckled as he turned off the main road onto a short dirt track.

Charles quickly forgot about the conversation as Pierre quickly backed into a parking space. “Are we here?” he hummed, praying the answer was yes, he had spent far too long cooped up in the vehicle. His attention was consumed by the building in front of them. It was completely different to the rest of the places they had not long driven by. It was perfectly maintained and the flower boxes on the windows were in full bloom. All of the other buildings on the main street were brightly coloured, but this place looked edgy with a charcoal matte paint causing the bright flowers and neon signs to stand out against the darkness of the walls. Despite all of that it had a family feeling to it, and judging by how many cars that were parked in the gravel parking lot this place was pretty popular.

The bright red neon sign hanging on the side of the wall mesmerized Charles, he had no idea why and in the end he just put it down to being tired from traveling all day. His mind started to wander, thoughts of living in a small town filled his head.

“Let’s hope they serve food, I’m starving,” Pierre hummed, killing the engine.

Without saying a word, Charles jumped out of the car, pulling his arms behind his head letting his aching body stretch out from hours of being confined to the passenger seat. He was used to spending hours in the F1 car but traveling always messed him up.

Feeling Pierre slap him on the back, he took that as the cue to start moving. The moment they entered the bar he felt like everyone had their eyes on them, it made Charles feel like this was going to be the worst idea his best friend ever had.

His mind was already spinning, but as he stood there he heard the familiar voice of Crofty commentating coming from the TV above the bar. His stomach twisted into a tight knot, not only were people staring at them but his maiden win at Monza was playing on a large screen situated over the bar. His heart dropped, out of all the places Pierre could pick in this town, he drove them to a bar that was full of race fans. It was only a couple of seconds before everyone turned back to what they were doing without so much as a murmur but to Charles it felt like an entire lifetime had passed as he waited for the look of recognition, expecting his name to echo amongst the patrons, but he got…nothing.

With a breath of relief, he followed his best friend through the room, letting his eyes dart around taking everything in. The first thing that caught his eye was the older guy sitting in the corner, animatedly watching the 2019 race. The man had his gaze glued onto the TV until a young girl clambered up onto his knee, their exchange drifting over the sound of the commentary.

“Nova, are you going to watch the race with me, sweetheart?”

“Poppy, I’m Elenor, silly,” the young girl said, reaching up resting her tiny hand on his cheek. With her gentle correction, he felt intrusive listening in so he turned his attention to the bar. Sliding onto the stool, he took note of all the photos scattered around the bottles on the shelves, whilst waiting for the guy behind the bar to finish what he was doing.

From the look of the outside Charles thought the interior of the bar would be more like a dive bar but he was pleasantly surprised. The place had a cozy yet energetic feeling to it, the walls were covered with family photos, around the whole place there were fairy lights setting the mood and the Harley Davidson decor created a unique contrast. The walls were clad with wood which were paired with deep red booths that were along the back edge of the room and the fairy and neon lights provided a very cozy rustic feel to the place.

It felt like they had stepped into a completely different building, the inside seems a lot bigger than the outside, square tables were scattered around with worn leather chairs surrounding them. For some reason the look of the old leath brought a small smile to Charles’ face.

“What can I get for you lads?” The bartender asked, his thick Scottish accent taking them by surprise.

“Just two beers please man,” Charles nodded, “and do you guys serve food?”

“Aye, gimme two secs and I will get you the menu,” he hummed as he grabbed two bottles from the fridge behind him, “you lads in town long?”

Charles quickly glanced at Pierre before turning back to the bartender, “how do you know we are from out of town?” he asked but instantly regretted asking the question when he quickly realized that the guy sounded completely different to him and Pierre and from some of the conversations that were happening around the boys. The guy didn’t say anything instead shot him an amused look whilst raising his brow at the two boys.

The look made him realize that this was going to be a long month, not only was there amusement written all over his face but it was one that tol Charles he knew exactly who they were. In that moment Charles knew they wouldn't go as unnoticed as they had anticipated. All he wanted was for them to be treated like any other patron and maybe if that happened they could get through the summer break without any major trouble.

“Four weeks,” Pierre chuckled, taking his beer with a smile, “just waiting to be able to check into the lodge.”

The guy had a knowing smirk on his face, like he knew who they were. Charles couldn’t be one hundred percent certain but that was confirmed to him with the next sentence that came from the bartender’s lips, “enjoying the summer break, eh?” he smiled at them both.

“It’s only just started,” Pierre laughed, raising his beer bottle slightly, “but we’re hoping for a nice quiet time, from what I’ve heard this is the best place to relax and recharge”

Out of the corner of Charles’ eye he spotted a photo behind the bar, instantly he couldn’t help but smile. The photo was of a small girl in the arms of what he presumed was her mother. Both of them were wearing Ferrari shirts and hats whilst standing on a track. At this point he had started to come to terms with everyone more than likely knew who they were, especially with the race playing on the TV and photo he couldn’t tear his eyes from. Worry started to settle in but the one thing that calmed him down was the face no one had approached them yet. In fact apart from the bartender they had been pretty much ignored, so maybe this wasn’t going to be as bad as he first anticipated.

Just as the bartender passed them the menus for the food, the doors to the bar swung open, slamming against the wall causing the guy behind the bar to scoff.

“He can see the celebrations starting. He’s got one more corner, the famous parabolica to go. Mercedes threw everything at him today, Charles Leclerc has coped brilliantly!” a female voice shouted across the bar causing both Charles and Pierre to spin around on the stool to see what was happening. He felt his heart rate increase, feeling panic wash over him at the fact someone had just entered the bar reciting Cofty’s commentary word for word.

He focused his gaze on the two people that just walked in were covered in mud without a care in the world. “He won in Spa, he wins in Monza!” she continued, throwing her arms in the air whilst quoting the commentary perfectly in time with the TV as she turned to face the guy she walked in with. “Charles Leclerc is the winner of the 2019 Italian Grand Prix.”

Turning to Pierre, Charles shot him a look letting him know that they weren’t going to keep a low profile.

“That’s it, get mud all over the floor!” the barman huffed at the women with a grin on his face.

“It’s just a bit of mud, get a prospect to mop, Chibs,” the woman said with sass dripping from her words, never turning around as she spoke but Charles could hear the smirk in her voice.

Out of nowhere the small girl that was sitting in the corner booth came running over to the pair standing in the doorway. The woman who was quoting the commentary caught the small girl just in time. “Well she is definitely not afraid of mud,” she laughed, looking over her shoulder to the blonde guy behind her, before she dropped her gaze to the young girl in her arms, pressing a kiss to the top of her head before speaking to her. “Come on then you little monster, let’s go get you changed, Auntie Nova needs a shower.”

He quickly realized that these were the two people in the photo behind the bar, he automatically assumed they were mother and daughter but the moment the little girl called her Auntie he felt a wave of relief wash over him.

He found himself sitting there sipping the bottle of beer feeling extremely confused as to why he would feel such an emotion over a woman he had never met before but in the same way he felt like he had met this woman before.

It was official he was starting to lose it, maybe the first half of the season had taken more of a toll on him than he first thought. First the feeling he got when they arrived in town and now towards the women covered head to toe in mud. But for whatever reason he couldn’t tear his gaze away from the pair, watching them interacting like they didn’t have a care in the world. The moment the woman smeared a little mud on the little girl’s nose the bar was filled with the sound of the most adorable giggles Charles had ever heard.

But it's just me ranting about the botched construction in the phouse...

- Okay I kind of don't have a whole lot to say about this other than the casual way Phil mentioned and showed the hole in their ceiling pissed me off. I started helping my dad to install heating, plumbing and generally do construction work as a teen and helped him for years and the stuff they are experiencing with the house? Yeah that is not normal! This is all signs of someone botching their construction, if they have had ongoing problems with leakes, plumbing and such for almost three years. An independent consultant could probably get them money back with his screwed some things seem at this point and it pains me that there are so many construction companies out there these days that don't have any appreciation or honor in their work. I love helping my dad and he had such pride in his work and everyone appreciated him so much because he was good at it, but also an amazing person who treated them fairly and I really hate seeing someone take this profession so unserious.

I love Evan Buckley with all my heart but I will never not get pissed off with the double standards.

it's so disheartening because I love buck so so so much but then people will say something false or contradictory and I have the irresistible (autistic) urge to explain why they aren't fully correct or having a full image.

this happens with characters, celebs, media, and more - and nine times out of ten, I don't even like them that much, I just HATE double standards or when people misinterpret things!

below the cut are a few examples that really stick out to me [it's 2am so pls excuse any mistakes] but I would love to know what you guys think.

"boo chimney sucks, he punched buck when buck was protecting maddie"

- Buck admitted to purposely maiming Eddie during the basketball game because he was jealous.

"maddie is such a bad sister, she should've told buck about daniel"

- Maddie was also a child who had basically been raising her brother whilst being told she wasn't allowed to mourn the other. she was also a victim of her parents grief.

"maddie left buck!!"

- A) she was going to college. B) she was in an abusive marriage? she gave him the keys to her car and he drove away, so if you want to get technical...

"Bobby betrayed Buck by not letting him back"

- Buck sued the department. He didn't even try going to the union or just waiting until he was off blood-thinners

"Buck is such a good parent"

- I'm sure he will be but canonically he hasn't made any decisions a parent would have to.

- dismissing the hard work of the actual parents in the show for Buck being parental is so sad.

"omg finally a queer character"

- fuck you mean 'finally??? Michael, Hen, Karen Josh, David, etc etc

"Taylor Kelly betrayed Buck."

- he cheated on her and expected her to change for him without any expectation to change himself.

"Tommy mentioned ketosis, he's promoting EDs"

- in that same episode, buck comments that ravi "doesn't have to eat everything at a buffet" (unprompted btw, they weren't talking about food at all)

- also he is the character who mentions eating and body image the most (the date, the calender, etc)

"Buck is so targeted"

- the white cis man is being targeted? did you guys not watch Hen begins or Chim begins? or that episode where that man is literally dying and refuses care from the two of them and eddie?

"chimney should've told buck"

- HE TRIED! chimney was put in an impossible situation and literally told maddie to tell buck at any given opportunity. whether he told buck or not, buck would've been devastated either way. the betrayal wasn't about chimney, it was about the buckleys.

"Buck had the saddest childhood"

- ravi had cancer. chimneys mum died and his dad left the country without him. hen never knew her dad and her mum didn't approve of her. Bobby's dad was abusive and died whilst he was one room over. Eddie had to care for the women in his home and got scolded at every opportunity. a dead girl was buried in athenas garage. fuck, taylor kelly doesnt know if her dad killed her mum or not. they all have tragic childhoods, stop comparing them.

I'm aware that every characters has flaws, it's what makes them amazing, but people never really acknowledge Buck's flaws unless it used as sympathy whilst using other people's flaws to bring them down.

I love buck but I hate the double standards.

43. “You always come here when you’re upset.”

You kicked the grass in the open field, aluminated by the tall stadium lights in the corners of the field. It'd been a while and you weren't sure if Jamie would show up. It had been a few years since you'd seem him last.

You grew up in Manchester, just down the street from Jamie's house. You'd been there for him everytime his parent's fought or his dad came home drunk. At one point, you'd even convinced him that his house was haunted, and that was why his dad was always mad. The two of you would hide in the closet and pretend to fly away to India or some other country that seemed so far away when you were young.

As you grew up, you remained close and soon found a place outside of the house to run to when something happened. An old abandoned pitch just a few miles from town. It hadn't been used in at least a decade but the lights still turned on every night for the ghosts of football games that came to life under the stars.

But Jamie was different recently. He had been since he'd been picked up at Manchester City. He'd gotten arrogant and rude. He was acting just like his father. And you'd told him as such two years ago. That was the last time he'd talked to you. But you'd read the news. He was being sent back to Manchester from Richmond, where he'd been playing on loan for a while.

Ted Lasso. Who knew someone so different could make such an impact on a team. But he was the first person to bench Jamie since... well maybe ever. Something had to have shifted in him. But being sent back to Manchester. Back to his father. It had to have hurt him. If your intution was right, and you hoped it was, he would make his way back here tonight.

It was getting late, and you were chilly. You were about to give up when you saw the headlights you'd been waiting for all night. Jamie got out of the car and leaned against it.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" He grumbled, shoving his hands into his pockets.

You shrugged, approaching him slowly. "You always come here when you're upset"

He scoffed at you. "You think you know me?"

"I think I do," You shot back. "I think you're afraid to go back to Manchester. Cause your dad is going to be sitting there waiting for you."

He snapped his head over towards you. He was angry. Angry at you, angry at his dad, angry at the world.

"Oh, fuck off," he spat, pushing himself off the car and turning on you. "I'm pissed off, cause I played Lasso's stupid game, burnt my mum's boots, and actually felt like I was making a difference at Richmond and what the fuck did it do?" I didn't really know what he was talking about but I didn't care, at least he was talking. "It did fuck all. He still sent me away. Just like everyone else in my life."

You let the statement hang in the air for a second. Waiting to see if he would continue or say anything else.

"I didn't send you away," you said quietly. "You left me... if you'll remember."

"Yeah, fucked that up too, didn't I?" he muttered.

Against your own will, you felt your feet moving you forward, lurching in Jamie's direction. When you reached him, you took his face in your hands.

"You didn't fuck that up? Okay," You shook his head gently, making your point. "You didn't fuck that up. I'm here, Jamie." He grabbed onto you, wrapping himself around you tightly. "You didn't fuck that up." You kept repeating that, over and over, as he held onto you like a lifeline. "I'm here, Jamie... I'm here."

well now that it's been a couple days since i watched the teen wolf movie and i've sufficiently forgotten 90% of it, i think it's time i told you all what i liked/disliked about it

1. jackson whittemore

he was just so fucking funny, like why was he even there?? did they give colton a script or did they just give him a recap of everything he missed in the show before simply throwing him on set and going "good luck."

i loved him though. it really feels like he's more comfortable in himself now. when he came back in s6, he wasn't as bitter but he still felt quite stiff. now he's comfortable in his sexuality and his place in the world, and he's no longer trying too hard. love that for him. his friendship with lydia also means a lot to me. i originally thought they were gonna put them back together, but i adore them as snarky besties.

also i'm glad they didn't break him and ethan up. we got our lgbtq+ scraps, guys!!

2. peter hale

hasn't changed a bit and i love it. his entrance was iconic and so fitting for his character. the tension between him and chris was obvious (perhaps because of melissa?) and i love how they still have an air of mystery when it comes to him. no one truly knows if he's on the good side or the bad.

also i can confidently say that peter crawling on the floor in human form, sniffing, was the absolute highlight of the movie.

3. eli hale

he was a great addition to the cast. i loved his relationship with derek, but him as a character really refreshed the film and gave us some wholesome but funny moments.

also we all know he's basically a stiles mini-me, so it was nice to have someone there to fill what the film would've been missing because of stiles' absense without full-out replacing him.

4. jr borne

his acting in the movie was absolutely outstanding. i was in shock. he was already amazing in the show but he's outdone himself. i really felt his emotions through the screen. literal chills. what a powerful performance!

5. the hellhound

i'm so glad they gave parrish an important role in the film. the hellhound was one of my favourite supernatural creatures from the show, so it was great to see ryan kelley shine once more.

6. coach finstock

he also has not changed a single bit and it's really refreshing to see. they didn't try to shoehorn him into the story too much. he simply played the part he always has, and made us laugh doing it.

7. the jeep

when they said the jeep would be featured in the film, i didn't think they meant they would try and stick it in every scene possible. i love it.

as a sterek shipper, i love the idea of eli nicking the jeep because he knows derek has some complicated feelings towards it. i won't do a sterek section on this list because i don't know whether i'm happy or mad about it, but this was an interesting addition to the film.

8. melissa had a crossbow

she had a crossbow. it's about fucking time.

now what i disliked:

1. the misuse of key characters

why were liam and mason used as side characters?? why did they barely speak, they're best friends?? why did they introduce hikari and not bother actually giving her a personality outside of being a kitsune?? i have too many thoughts on all of this, but it pissed me off.

2. just general confusion

they didn't specify if melissa and chris were still together or not. no explanation on why scott and malia split up. how did parrish and malia get together? who is eli's mum? why did liam have the nogitsune? why did scott and allison adopt eli?

also where has all the chemistry between the cast gone?? shelley especially felt so awkward with everyone. it's like they're not friends anymore, which i know isn't true.

3. the nudity and swearing

i could've gone my whole life without seeing allison, parrish and malia's bare asses. also the swearing was great, but they all felt like year 7's when they did it.

4. the returns

as someone who didn't really care for allison, her return was just annoying. out of all the characters they could've brought back, allison is the one they definitely should've left alone. hers was a major death in the show, and the start of a lot of character development for scott and chris. they should've come up with a different story not involving allison or the nogitsune. you know they only brought her back so that scallison fans can have their endgame.

and adrian harris?? what?? why?? he didn't even do anything of purpose in the film. what was the actual point in bringing him back??

5. derek's death

i'm not even gonna touch this. but i'm fuming.

10 things Roman is pissing me off real bad sister 😭😭😭

Rj was disrespectful but in my opinion he is only acting out because he feels as if his dad hasn’t really been there for him. Also rj mentioning the fact that his dad cheated on his mum shows that he has resentment towards him for more than one thing. Roman needs to stop being so hard headed and try to understand where his son is coming from.

I don’t agree that Nova tries to be Rj’s friend, it is just that she is more understanding of his feelings, being receptive doesn’t mean she is avoiding conflict, someone needs to be that way because Roman isn’t! I do hope Roman can develop a better relationship with Rj, I know he doesn’t want him to make mistakes but in order to learn sometimes, mistakes will have to happen. Rj having his dad’s support will give him even more encouragement to succeed and make it to the NFL.

Sorry for the long ass message I just really like this story😭

Also one question quickly, maybe I missed it (my apologies if I did) but when did Roman cheat on Nova? I’m guessing it was before Bella & Cami were born because they’re both under 5?

i agree with you. rj has a smart mouth and can not know when to stop. he, however, has a lot pent up emotions and unresolved feeling toward his dad for a lot of things. a lot of things he needs to release and stop holding in.

but as we can see, roman's ass is not the easiest person to talk to and deal with. he can in fact have narcissistic tendencies and can struggle with empathy. i do think he means well, and he obviously loves his family, loves rj, but his pride gets in the way. he has a lot ego and doesn't know how to set it to the side. he's struggled with that, to some extent, his whole life, really.

meanwhile nova just wants peace. she was raised by really laid back, loving, kinda hippy parents who had a great marriage and great dynamic with her. she just wants that for her kids, especially rj and his dad.

i think what also needs to be highlighted is that nova and roman were essentially kids themselves when they had rj. they were teen parents, so in a lot of ways, they all grew up together. a lot of learning and mistakes occurred along the way, as is the process.

so......ya'll should know by now that things are never straightforward in my stories, and this is no different. thus, i'm gonna hold off on answering your question regarding roman's infidelity, because there might be more there..... 😅😅😅

I’m sure many people who are bigger fans of Avatar than me with disagree with me on this BUUUT:

I don’t think Avatar needs a live action.

Consider this.

Avatars strengths lie closely entwined with its medium: animation. The animated style allowed for a stark blend of goofiness and seriousness, the hyperrealistic, and tailored perfectly to the target audience (kids) with its vibrant colours and style. There is so much charm in animation and sometimes I feel things are made into live action just for the sake of it and, worse, for a cash grab. Take much of Disney’s work in the past decade for example.

Now, let’s compare Avatar to another recent live action remake that was so incredibly successful it broke the curse of anime remakes: One Piece. Because their situations differ vastly.

One Piece is an anime of which I have watched nearly 300 episodes. Fucking help me, because the pacing is abysmal and my finger hovers over the +10 seconds button at all times. The story of One Piece is as mature and thematically driven as Avatar, and just as creative and ingenious. However, there are certain shōnen (like the ‘genre’ of anime) tropes that ‘tailor’ to its target audience (boys/men) such as the design of the female characters being identical. Small waist, massive boobs. Essentially, you couldn’t show One Piece to your grandma. There are other things but these are the most egregious. Sexualising women pisses me off full stop and this is a thing in anime just like the weird fucking incest trope is. It just… doesn’t land with a western audience (and maybe with some of the Japanese audience? I’m honestly not sure I do not know and could not tell you, this is purely my own impression). One Piece an incredible story, there’s no doubt it’s the or one of the best anime/manga of all times, but in terms of accessibility its medium (anime and manga) restricted its viewer base alongside these anime tropes.

One Piece live action is not a shōnen anime. It is a live action anime remake. Sanji is a flirt in a way that my mum found gentlemanly when she watched the live action rather than perverted or annoying as I found him at times watching the anime (sorry Sanji I do love you really). The women’s bodies are realistic because it’s. Real. Fucking. Life. And the pacing has been hailed as a huge step up from the original. It’s essentially an upgrade. It’s better, more accessible, just as fun and goofy, and just as much the incredible story we all love. The casting is insane. Oda legit christened Inaki with the straw hat I’m- AVATAR DOESN’T HAVE THAT- ok I’m getting off topic. It’s good, alright? It drew more people into the amazing story that is One Piece.

Back to Avatar. Avatar… is for kids. Yes, it can be enjoyed by adults, but its target audience is children. I wouldn’t have watched it if my younger sister hadn’t been born. It probably wouldn’t have interested me past the age of 13, whereas I still enjoy One Piece as an adult, maybe because anime/manga is also targeted at adults. There’s gore? Sort of? Essentially I don’t see the translation onto live action changing the viewer demographic for Avatar purely based on the story. Yes, more people might watch live action because ‘eww animation is for kids!’ but that just isn’t reason enough. Take the Ahsoka series, for example. Why was it live action? Because Disney is scrambling for ways to rescue the franchise its currently dragging though the mud. Did a live action help? No, the story suffered beyond belief for it (would require another massive post to get into it). Some of you will have different opinions on this because you love Avatar a lot and or grew up with it. I get that. It’s like me with Ninjago. But if Ninjago got a live action they would need to alter the story a lot, ok? Avatar is for kids, about kids, and I think it still appeals to those same kids (grown up) today. It’s going to be the same story but it looks different and my prediction is that people will still enjoy the animated version more and the live action will never come close to topping it or complementing it in the way that the One Piece live action does.

My point is that I don’t see what a live action is going to do for Avatar as a story. It’s perfect. It’s already held up as one of the greatest stories of all time by all of the writing tips YouTube channels, what more can it achieve? What will live action bring to Avatar other than ‘oooh it’s real life now!’? I fully believe the comedy can be transferred, but because if One Piece can do it so can Avatar, but I still can’t see the live action Avatar being as much of a game changer for the story or viewership as the One Piece live action is.

It’s still… a cool idea, I guess. But I mean… is the stormlight archive by Brandon Sanderson ever gonna get an adaptation? Can we like… take risks with newer stories?

Happy for the cast and everything and I hope it goes well, but yeah, I just can’t get hyped about this one guys.

Surely at this point they're mentioning Robert so much that he's gotta come back. It would be something to mention him once, but to have it consistently? AND trying to parallel John with him?

It's either they're making Aaron move on for good as Ryan is not coming back, or he's imminent. ED usually shoot it down if it's not a possibility, right? They're actually using Ryan at this point if he's in magazines?

It feels like he's gonna come back and everyone will realise the HUGE differences between them (namely Robert having an actual personality). Isn't it way more fun and dramatic if Robert's actually involved? No? Just me? 🤣

(also if they got Andy back that would be amazing as well, not gonna happen but i would give my left kidney to make it so. Sugdale would be amazing).

I mean they shot it down during the luke nonsense... but they might have learnt their lesson with that since it pissed a lot of people off when they didn't see the point of that story anymore (spoiler alert: there was none), and i don't know how much of the magazine stuff is just them jumping on the hype to sell more magazines

but I need Ryan to get his ass back to Leeds! I've said it before and I'll say it again - he's the only one that could save the show right now.

What would be better than for Robert to rock up when Aaron has told himself he has to move on and that he should give things with john a go?! Rob being all sad because Aaron doesn't love him anymore and his sister has replaced him with his clone half brother... and then we get another Big reunion and eventually a third wedding.

and Sugdale instead of dingle-dale?? sign me up! Though it would have to be Sugdale without the constant Saint Jack stuff because that's driving me up the fucking wall!

also - when Vic first introduced herself to John at his mother's funeral she mentioned Rob and john went "I think I've heard of him yeah". I mean Rob was two when fauxbert was born and apparently his mum was always upfront about everything and "I did think he had more kids than just me" - I need to know how much he knows about the Sugden family (other than what Vic's told him)

Finally got a job been working the past days a lot of labor but so much fun and pays good but it’s never enough for them istfg I’m exhausted literally lots of heavy lifting and building shit so obviously my fucking body is aching so fucking bad but it’s really worth it but not to them

I’m tired physically but mentally it’s helping me and my coworkers are amazing the bosses are so fucking nice and I’m so excited but bc of all the heavy lifting it’s taking a toll on me I’m just exhausted

Recently had to get my transmission oil changed and fix my rear light but the stupid fucking mechanic drilled a hole or sum shi in my car cause on the first day on the job I saw my car leaking oil and took a vid and later showed my mom and she said we’ll talk to my stepdad

So we did and I showed the vid to him, then he goes to check and says nothing is dripping so then we put some cardboard under my car left it for a min and sure enough it’s oil leaking and the STUPID MOTHERFUCKER HAS THE FUCKING AUDACITY TO TRY AND PIN THE BLAME ON ME ?!?!?!!?!! I only had my car not even a a day and this bitch says Idk how to drive my own fucking car?!

So the past 2/3 days I’ve been getting rides from my mum but she goes to work early but I don’t start until 2 hours after her so I’m just sitting outside of the store as the sun rises in the heat and humidity but I’m sucking it up cause I don’t have any other choice

And ways I’m working 8-10 hours at this hard labor job in the heat, humidity, and rain which I really don’t mind like I said it’s worth it but even if I’m exhausted cause my literal fucking muscles are fucking hurting and today I had to wait almost an hour for all these fucking cunts to get in the car to pick me up but then also go to their store after which whatever it is what it is I can’t do shit about it but then after being at the store for another hour I’m fucking tired my legs are literally throbbing with each step

I’m done I’m tired I can’t help but be fucking pissed they know how tired I am and how much I’ve been working but they don’t care this woman had the day off and her stupid fucking husband had most of the day off only worked at least 3 hours and I had to go to work late bc I start 2 hours after them so I already gave my manager a notice beforehand but still that’s hour I LOST but it is what it is anyways I just keep snapping at them cause I’m tired it was too hot to wait in the car and god forbid if I stayed in the car with ac on but finally we leave and both mum and sister are basically mocking/complaining about my attitude this bitch goes “what’s your problem” I straight up told her angrily “I’m tired!” And this bitch just says “ then go” as she signals the exit…

This entire time they’ve been supportive of me finally getting a job and I’m so happy for this job too but for them to have a problem with me having to WAIT and SHOP AFTER WORK just is not okay so as soon as we go in the car I put my earbuds in and blast loud music cause I don’t want to fight I just wanted to go home eat shower and sleep but I can’t do shit in peace I think they tried talking to me but I can’t hear shit from them but when it was changing songs I heard my mum and her husband making fun of me so it’s just never enough I didn’t even get to eat I just took a shower and planning on sleep early might have a big breakfast tomorrow idk I’m tired

i hate birthdays. or more accurately i hate my own birthday.

to me they’re just sad. they’re reminders of all the years i’m losing. they’re dull days where nothing happens. i know this seems kinda selfish or vain, but i don’t think i’ve ever had a proper birthday party. like i did the standard “going to kids world” and “jelly and ice cream” stuff when i was little, but as i got older they just stopped and nothing really came along to replace it. i see my friends and family having their birthday celebrations and it always looks so fun.

they have their big get together and they all dress up for it and look amazing. they have decorations and sparkles and streamers and banners and those giant metallic birthday balloons. they’ll go out for a meal together and have cake with sparklers, or go to a club and get the coolest looking drinks and dance together, or just party at home with tables full of appetisers and hors d’oeuvres and canapés and whatever other words people use to make cocktail sausages sound posh.

but i’ve never really had that. i’ve not never done anything for my birthday, like i’ve sometimes done like pizza hut or zoos or something (generic eatery or generic day out) with a couple of friends, but i’ve never had the big social occasions that everyone else gets. and as usual i’ve never had chance to be away from my family so they’re always there overshadowing everything making it feel like i can't fully relax into it and just enjoy what little time i do get to be normal.

i missed out on so much and i’ll never get those experiences back. of course there are things i could still do and do want to do but cos i have no experience with them i’m scared to actually do them cos i don’t know how to react to it.

all the things i crave i’m terrified of.

like i’m not saying i wanna dress slutty and go get shit faced with my friends. but sometimes i just wanna dress slutty and go get shit faced with my friends. i want friends. i wanna have the opportunity to do all the things everyone else gets to do.

i didn’t do halloween this year. i haven’t since i was like 8 or whatever. but since starting to do more stuff like going to dan howells show and seeing noah finnce live (wow two whole events), i’ve been getting the confidence to do more and i asked my friend if we could do something for halloween and she said if she had time off work then sure. i hurriedly put together a costume and patiently waited for her to find out her schedule, which as it turns out she’s busy on halloween. not cos she’s working but cos she forgot and agreed to meet with some other friends instead of me and go on a cruise around greece. then she went to the isle of wight, then like 2 days later she was in london with her rapper friend who’s filming a music video, and last i saw she was back on the isle of wight.

i’m not pissed off that her life doesn’t revolve around me. i get that she’s her own person and can do what she likes. i’m pissed off that she knows what my life is like and still thinks it’s acceptable to constantly string me along like she does. in the past few years every plan we’ve made has fallen through cos she either hasn’t followed it up or has found something more interesting to do.

she’ll go on spontaneous trips to iceland or go to a show and then buy tickets to see the same show again in ireland like a week later, but she can’t spare 2 seconds to finalise a meet up, or will tell me how money’s tight right now so she doesn’t know if she can make it, or that she’s sooooo busy with assignments but can still make time for brunch with the girlies every other day.

she knows what my life is like. she knows i can’t do shit. yet she still makes half-assed plans with me and gets my hopes up that i might finally get to do something only to drop me like a tonne of bricks when she realises there’s a better option.

i think as well another big part of the issue is my mum doesn’t like me doing things alone cos she doesn’t see me as a competent adult, or god forbid maybe even a full person, she sees me as a humanoid blob of autism and doesn’t think i’d ever be capable of existing without constant supervision, so i don’t have any choice but to constantly rely on unreliable people to be able to do the things i wanna do.

to me she is the best option. do i like it? fuck no. if i could think of every option i’d want to choose she wouldn’t even make the list but cos she’s the only choice i have, i don’t have her same luxury of dropping the boring friend. if i did we'd never fucking speak.
