So, having recently posted the next two chapters of my current fanfic project, I am once again amusingly baffled by the sorts of reviews I get on Fanfiction dot net, especially compared to AO3.

This one dude, who has consistently posted what I would 'charitably' call reviews, seems to completely miss the characterisation of the Date A Live cast. Frankly, I wonder why they still keep with my work, when all they have are petty gripes and how they would have personified the characters. AKA: Tohka killing Origami during the first encounter.

Honestly can't help but laugh at how up themselves they act. I've checked this dude's uploads. They've done all of two Date A Live fics, one of which being an AU to the other, either of which are finished, with the first one being only two chapters, and the AU follow up being three. And their writing... HOO BOY, having a look at how they write.

It's at a point where I honestly look forward to what idiocy they have to say next. It's like watching a train crash in slow motion, the way they just seem to find gripes that weren't even in the uploads in the first place. That gatling gun comment? I never mentioned gatling guns up to that point.

Well, just thought I'd share something I found rather amusing, since this dude decided to strike again today.

ah, my favorite part of the holidays, when im banished upstairs after fulfilling my duties to my MIL and must not allow anyone downstairs (the Real Family Members ™) to become aware that im physically present in the building

i crept downstairs to pee and youd think i dropkicked the fucking dog with the death stare she gave me. immediately misgendered and talked around like im an object causing a grievous inconvenience. indirectly complained about loudly to other people around. stared at pointedly until i finished making my way up the stairs and hid away again.

ive been keeping this thing in the inbox for a loooong while – i tend to read it over quite often . especially when im feeling down in the dumps . and i think i finally have an actual way to respond to it coherently

im rlly glad that you've come to appreciate the way i draw bodies . since i myself have a hard time with that aspect specifically – posing and such are always difficult and i tend to get the most frustrated when it comes to that

on top of that . eyes are also something i think are very meaningful ; i always try my hardest to make the eyes of a character reflect a part of themselves . whether it would be in shape . or style . or color . or just small details – working on the eyes is probably my favorite part about drawing ahaha ¥_^

and thank you for the kind words regarding my texting / speaking style – truth be told . im always embarrassed by it ; i feel weirdly disconnected from the people around me because of how i talk . since everyone seems to find it off-putting or bizarre – that's not even mentioning the fact i speak english better than my native language . but still can't seem to speak it well ahaha ≠w=

After almost a full year of playing ER every day, it is so funny to watch back some of my old videos on how I attempted bosses for the first time. Well, I only recorded Godrick and Morgott, but regardless. It's fun to see how I ran at Godrick full speed with my lil crystal sword (which carried my ass for the first half of the game, I love that sword) but he just gently slapped me with wind and one-tapped me. Good times.

There is a certain beauty about not knowing what you do in a game, you can only do that once.

It's so funny watching Orin disguised as a party member try to convince me that they are that person like ok it is kind of convincing at first i can see you did some homework when researching how to play the part but then she goes a bit far with portraying the character's negative traits that you just gotta look at her and go

I hate the youtube "you might like this" system so much it's so fucking shit but more than that it's feeding into an increasingly polarising algorithm and it's incentivised to show people unhinged things so they click on them. So despite obviously having never viewed incel content on youtube??? It's sticking that shit in my completely unrelated search results as reccomended videos. I just searched for a video of glacial lakes and got reccomended an incel video on 'how to know when it's over', and then a few videos of the thing I actually searched for, and then boom, some guy reacting to eugenia cooney and exploiting her appearance in the thumbnail for clicks. Another incel video. A stack of unrelated reaction videos with clickbait thumbnails. A bunch of videos from my recent history that I've already watched. More controversial algorithm bait completely unrelated to what I was searching for. Earlier I was searching for hair cut tutorials and got reccomended a video compiling pro-ana 'what I eat in a day' tiktok videos. Like??? That is not just irritating or inconvenient, that's outright dangerous. It makes the internet significantly less safe for already vulnerable people.
