lol I don't mean to make it sound THAT bad but it definitely can require some aftercare especially if you do a lot of it. on the subject of pills though: I didn't mention this but if you're buying MDMA, even tho the pills are often cool looking, I'd generally recommended not getting anything pressed including other black market pills like Xanax and oxys because pressed pills (basically meaning someone physically pressed the powder into a pill themselves as opposed to either a prescription or like pure powder) are far more likely to be cut with random shit. at best you're getting less molly than you pay for, at worst there's something in there you don't want in your body. usually the MDMA I buy is in the form of basically little tiny crystals which is the like "pure" form. either way I'd recommend getting test strips unless you REALLY trust your dealer or know for sure they have already tested it and stuff

fentanyl test strips are pretty cheap, you can get them over at dancesafe.org and they're good to have on hand if you know people who do drugs :)

I have been told many many times that using ecstasy will basically fry your seratonin receptors so that you will never be able to feel happy again unless you are using the drug. I am assuming now that this is false but I am curious now as to how false. Is it something that CAN happen if you take too much at once or too often, or is this just random Drug Scary misinformation

Also also since wellbutrin is not an SSRI does LSD work when you are on it or does it also cancel it out

lol that's kind of an extreme version of what I usually hear! you're right that basically the answer here is no. this comes from a couple different things. first is MDMA induced serotonin toxicity, and 2nd is something called "serotonin syndrome" which is a real thing that can happen, but it's really really hard to get like this. prepare for a very long answer lmfaooo

MDMA induced serotonin toxicity occurs when you take too high doses too frequently. MDMA IS slightly neurotoxic, but so are many prescription drugs so don't let that word freak you out too much! basically MDMA works by dumping large amounts of serotonin into your brain, hence why it's the happy/love drug lol. if you take too much too often, your brain will straight up run out of serotonin. obviously that's bad! it's not as simple as "never feeling happy again" but you will essentially have depression for a bit because of lack of serotonin (on its own, low serotonin levels following modest MDMA use is not damaging and resolves within a few days) but the real problem is that if you are on MDMA with depleted serotonin, your brain will continue releasing dopamine which will attach to the serotonin receptors and damage them. this is what can cause long term depression symptoms, the damaged serotonin receptors. ultimately your brain will heal this on its own unless for some reason I guess you keep taking it a lot (which would have no effect. when you take too much MDMA your brain just runs out of serotonin to dump so like. it just won't work lol)?? it can also be treated with the supplement NAC, which I would recommend taking any time you use MDMA because of this!

to sum up MDMA toxicity: it can happen but only if you're misusing it! it's generally recommended that you dont do much more than 1 dose every 3 months or so to make sure your brain has time to reset. research interactions with anything else you're using (prescription or not), take some NAC in the weeks following a dose, drink a lot of water, keep your body temperature regular because that can worsen it, and take some antioxidants like alpha lipoic acid and grape seed oil during/immediately after taking MDMA - it's when you come down that your brain is delicate and could use the protection. also this may sound counterintuitive but weed also has antioxidant properties, so smoking it as you come down helps a lot. also if you DO have MDMA toxicity taking more MDMA will not help u feel happy unfortunately it will just make it worse lol, your brain only has so much serotonin to give

now serotonin syndrome can happen with the misuse of any drug that works on serotonin including MAOIs, SSRIs, and SNRIs, usually by taking a VERY large dose (but some people are just extremely sensitive). it usually takes care of itself eventually, but the amount of time it takes and stuff is kinda hard to pin down bc it's REALLY misunderstood and tends to be overly self diagnosed. again this is like super super hard to do. you would have to take a MASSIVE dose or mix it with other serotonin affecting drugs (ESPECIALLY MAOIs. DO NOT MIX MDMA WITH MAOI ANTI DEPRESSANTS). like 5 times the normal dose at least probably (partner is currently trying to find some literature on it so he'll add that in the replies if he finds anything interesting). it will cause things like heightened anxiety and body temperature and can cause kidney problems or seizures if it's like really bad and untreated. but you'd feel REALLY bad before it got to that point, so in general like, if you take any type of drug and feel extremely bad after go to the doctor lol. mostly this will also just heal itself; your brain is pretty resilient! again usually if this does happen it's very minor. cases bad enough to require hospitalization are exceedingly rare

to give you an example of what these can look like, I have a friend who was given about 3-4 times a regular dose by a fucking piece of shit asshole she knows and, this part is crucial, it was mixed with a very large amount of alcohol AND acid (which can slightly increase the neurotoxicity. normally not a huge issue but becomes one in circumstances like this), AND coke; like she was blackout drunk and while not on a lot of acid or coke, this is just too many things to have in your body and brain at one time. the mixture of such a large amount different drugs caused her what I'm guessing was a mild case of both of these things at once. she experienced slightly worsened depression for about 6 months after, and actually had a mild stutter for almost a year. I made sure she took some NAC and other things that aid brain healing, and she didn't try molly again for a long time to be super sure she didn't overload her brain before it was ready. this is a pretty extreme case, and even with that she has fully recovered thankfully. do NOT EVER do drugs with someone you don't trust with your life. DO NOT EVER do drugs in doses you have not confirmed for yourself to be safe and DO NOT EVER mix drugs without finding out if it's safe!!! just as a small aside though: usually taking molly and acid at the same time is perfectly safe. in fact it's called a candy flip and I HIGHLY recommend it because it's fucking awesome. again, just make sure you are taking safe doses in a safe environment

OKAY now finally your specific question about Wellbutrin: I actually take Wellbutrin so I can answer this one from personal experience! Wellbutrin should not alter the effects of LSD in any way HOWEVER! both of these drugs lower your seizure threshold! I'm on the max dose of Wellbutrin (which is the max dose BECAUSE of seizure risk) so when I plan to drop acid I usually either skip my dose entirely that day or only take half depending on how much acid I'm planning to take. because of the way Wellbutrin works, this shouldn't cause you any problems as far as that goes. for me, not taking my Wellbutrin for a day mainly has the effect of making me more fatigued, and acid counteracts that really well by making me feel very awake/aware. if you don't want to skip or halve your dose though you can also take things that will RAISE your seizure threshold. so like I sometimes will smoke hemp because CBD actually will help with that. the risk here isn't huge either way especially if you have no history of seizures, but again if it's something you're concerned about you should be just fine skipping or lowering your dose for the day. acid usually lasts about 12 hours too so i personally don't even care about skipping the Wellbutrin that much because it basically does the same thing for me. I did take my full Wellbutrin dose the last couple times I've done acid though because I was taking a very small amount of acid (about half a tab)

in summation lol sort of TLDR I generally would recommend MDMA for recreational use because the risks of damage are low and it's safe if you are safe about it. and it's honestly just a really fun one! the only negative effect I've ever felt is some emotional and physical fatigue the following day, and this is largely because of how emotional and energetic you are on it. I just make sure to have the next day off to lay around and listen to music :)

taking it with a partner or loved one will give you an especially beautiful experience, as MDMA has been proven to facilitate extremely open emotional conversations. in fact, when MDMA was first synthesized it's primary use was in psychotherapy! research was shut down during the war on drugs, but in recent studies it's demonstrated amazing abilities to treat and even straight up CURE disorders like PTSD. for a personal anecdote, my partner actually completely fucking cured his alcoholism on a combo of MDMA and whippets (nitrous oxide) lmfao. like dude straight up went from getting black out drunk multiple nights a week to drinking nothing for the past year and a half without any other treatment program. LSD has been proven to have similar incredible results with treating and curing things like depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction and is also a very fun and very safe one.

sorry to reiterate for the billionth time lol but it's important: these drugs are safe and fun if you make sure they're safe and fun! do your research and never use in an unfamiliar environment with people you wouldn't trust in an emergency!

Asking as a queer person who used to think at least my gay unrequited crush is devastating but familiar and I do not have to find or improve myself to enter uncharted territory and I do sometimes see that in Mac's behaviors, tho idk how much of that is projecting.

Good question! I think it was once the former, ends up (kind of) the latter, and is now something different (or maybe a mix?). As to your two ideas, the Season 15 switch is indicative of this “change” which may or probably does have a lot to do with Glenn rejoining the writers room.

Season 13/14 is as clear cut as it can be with the idea that Mac is hoping he can “convince” (aka harass) Dennis into being with him. He very much thinks he can either force himself on Dennis and eventually Dennis will give in (see: 13) or he can manipulate Dennis (and their relationship) in a way that will make Dennis interested in him (see: 14).

Season 15 is when we see Mac’s offensive come to a rest and his defensive come up. He’s actively trying to resist reacting to Dennis’ physical touch (ty, Rob, for that) and I think this is what you would call “prefer pining away in gay angst,” part of it, but he’s also visibly annoyed by Dennis’ ailments and outbursts, and much more defiant toward him. He seems to have come to terms with the relentless pursuit never going to pay off and, while he’s clearly still into Dennis, he’s actively trying not to be and is maybe even a little annoyed that he is still into him.

By Season 16, this “resignation” of Mac’s relentless pursuit seems to pay off, with he and Dennis being closer than ever (bed sharing and all), but it may have gone too far on Mac’s side. Because I do genuinely believe he convinced himself he’s over Dennis and it fucked him over a little (but probably gave Dennis the security to do what he did).

In my opinion, “the Johnny of it all” was impossible for Mac to grapple with for two reasons (outside of his general stupidity and naïveté lol) 1. By the end of 14 Dennis has convinced him he was never going to wear him down, and 2. By the end of 15 he’s convinced himself that he’s over Dennis. He’s in denial by his and Dennis’ own design.

So now, who the fuck knows? I’ve been wrestling with this in my brain since S16 ended, and I seriously cannot predict where Mac will be in Season 17. Clearly he’s still into Dennis by the way he hangs on him and sucks up to him in Bowling, but I have to imagine he’s still in denial about Dennis being Johnny (while some part of his brain knows it’s true, he can’t accept that Dennis was, literally, fucking him for some number of weeks-months) and, still being defiant, he’s not actively pursing the man through the end of 16.

So currently, in canon, is he still on the defensive side of the relationship? Silently pining while actively pushing against Dennis? Or will he be back on the offensive, since it’s technically “his turn” to get something back from/out of Dennis in their fucked up little relationship?

I think this would be fun to predict, where Mac will be on the MacDennis front this season, maybe once we get more (any) info on Season 17, lmfao

My beloved cybermorphs AU is smthn we've been building for months: beautiful terrifying cosmic horrors in the form of cybertronian-xenomorph hybrids, a techno-organic species we call cybermorphs. Megatron doesn't align himself with a queen, he is a queen! The very first one, in fact ��� he and 4 others make up the very first generation of morphs, springing from 5 unfortunate warframe mecha that were exposed to and infected with xenomorph embryos

Xenomorphs and cybertronians are some of the most adaptive species in existence, both on polar opposite ends of the spectrum: one streamlined to be the ultimate, perfectly evolved killing machine that can thrive without oxygen or food, and the other a nearly-invulnerable inorganic species with the ability to rewrite their physical form at the drop of a hat. Put together they make the most dangerous, invasive, and voracious species the universe has ever seen. All of the xenomorphs killer instinct and capability to rapidly propagate blended perfectly with cybertronian invincibility and next-level processing power. They're damn near unstoppable

To address the other character you mentioned tho 👀 Starscream usually takes one of two roles in this AU: most commonly, he's one of the first mecha Megatron mutated into a morph (as a queen caste, he has transmutative royal jelly + venom), and Starscream serves at his side not only as one of his praetorians (a caste of xenomorph that essentially act as an immobile queen's royal guard), but also as one of his favored sires. In some universes, he serves as Megatron's King, a field military commander that commands the drones + warriors while the queen is immobilized in the hive. Starscream and Megatron's offspring are what we refer to as Vosimorphs, incredibly fast flight capable morphs that spit venom and can cloak very efficiently.

TOOK SO DAMN LONG SINCE I WANTED TO DRAW A STEP ONE REF OF EVE BUT ITS GONNA TAKE A MINUTE so here are the sketches,,, Anyways- gonna introduce the main two mcs/ocs you'll see here: Eve Cortez Williams and Aaliyah Dubious

(dont mind my ipad scribbles on the screenshot iofqiowogi) Lemme put this under a readmore actually so yall dont get slammed with a long ass post:

Starting with Eve:

He's my Tamarack MC, but I figured since uh. all my art that was a given

He has a strained relationship with Qiu in step 1 but they become besties by step 2 and by step 3, they are like family to each other. If no one got Eve, Eve knows Qiu got them, amen 🙏

He comes out as transmasc by step 2, and by step 3 he gets top surgery and starts taking testosterone and firmly identifies as a butch lesbian

He's from the southern part of Miami, Florida. He's Golden Grove's residential florida man

He practices martial arts religiously, he's a big fan of Goku and Dragonball in general so he wants to be like his idol

His story deviates a bit from the OL2 generic mc story, he did have a dad! Opal and his dad wanted a kid but they both didn't want to get married and since the two of them were best friends, they decided to have a kid together (or well two but we'll talk about that later)

What's important to note from above is that his dad isn't around anymore because his father passed away a few months ago due to a car accident and Eve was hospitalized as a result

So by the time he's at Golden Grove, he's in anger stages of his grief and he doesn't want to be bothered. Which sucks cause hes neighbors with the two loudest kids on the block

Doesn't help he's a ESL speaker (English as a Second Language) and Golden Grove's population is majorly white so he has even harder of a time adjusting to it

He gets into fights in step 1... a Lot. Someone will look at him funny and they'll get punched in the face

He does adjust but he still doesn't like Golden Grove by step 3 but funnily enough, he moves away at the end of step 3 for treatment but moves back in step 4, crazy how that shit works huh

He has two emotional support bunnies; Bulma and Chi-Chi! He gets them in step 2, Qiu and Eve bond over them LMFAO

As for Aaliyah:

She's my Qiu MC, to the shocker of no one. Tamarack is also her best friend <3

Aaliyah is from New Orleans, Louisiana! She's full blooded Haitian and she has family in Haiti

She's also transfem! She passes for cis in step 1 thanks to hormone blockers and some makeup and then starts taking estrogen in step 2 and onwards

Her being black and transfemme is integral to her character and how she navigates around Golden Grove, she doesn't tell anyone she's trans until near the end of step 1. By step 3, the girl gang and Qiu knows shes trans

^^ That's because she had a very negative experience coming out to her community who previously loved her but flipped on her just as fast

So moving to Golden Grove was supposed to be a fresh start for her as herself but by that point she feels like she has to keep up her "cis-sona" lest she gets bullied again

She still gets bullied for other reasons in step 2 though (being a pretty black girl and the one person who has a crush on her is the most popular kid in school... its rough! 😭)

By step 4 though she is proud to call herself trans and will let people know!

She lovessss animals! And the animals love her back! She feeds them all the time and keeps animal food on her for that purpose when she goes to the park to read by herself, she got a flock of crows and stray cats that like to follow her

She has a cat named Kiki!!! Kiki loves everyone except Qiu though, Aaliyah doesnt know that though-

Okay okay okay let’s play a game called which one of your loved ones is the best at telling the twins apart! 

In first place has to be Nanami. Even when they’re newborns, he’s by far the best at discerning them (sometimes even better than Satoru LMFAO). The twins aren’t so rambunctious that they try to play pranks and purposely deceive the adults around them, but occasionally, there is a blame dispute that has to be settled, and like all other kids, the twins point their fingers at each other. It never works when Kento is doing the babysitting, the twins fear he’s the one with eyes everywhere, not their dad.  

Yuuta seems to just know. Which makes sense, because the twins are two different people, after all; but he’s never shown any hesitance in knowing which is which. It’s kind of impressive. Again, the twins rarely try to trick anyone on purpose, but they are identical, and at the end of the day, many people confuse them at first. Never Yuuta. Maybe that’s why he’s earned himself a top 3 ranking among their babysitters.  

Megumi knows purely because he can always tell which is the younger one (by 12 minutes) because that’s the twin that acts more like Satoru. Even when they’re not talking, Megumi swears the younger one even manages to sit in silence like his father. Maki is also scarily good at telling them apart, personality be damned. With her eyes shut, she could tell you which one of them is crawling around. Neither Maki nor Megumi will ever let any Gojo have the best of them like that.  

Yuuji and Toge have the occasional slip up when calling their names (saying one when he meant the other), but neither are fooled whenever the twins or Satoru himself try to pull a prank. From the jump, Yuuji is someone who claims the twins are so different, even when they’re just months old; and Toge says he can hear the difference and discern them even by facial expressions. Sometimes, they both like to watch them prank other people, even encourage the antics for entertainment purposes. Probably why Toge and Yuuji make up the remaining spots for top 3 babysitters ranking by the twins.  

According to Nobara, your brats look and sound the same anyway, and if there’s two of them at the end of the day, does it matter that she knows who is who? She usually just calls their names to get their attention individually if she needs to, it’s her favorite cheat code. Once she and Yuuji were babysitting and split up with one twin each, and she was certain she had one when in fact she had the other. It kind of infuriates her, but she plays it off as indifference. She does get much better as they get older.

I’ll throw you all a bone and put Suguru in this, but I’m tell you right now he sucks at telling the twins apart, Satoru being his best friend be damned. They literally get to their teen years and he’s still getting corrected with the, “Suguru, I’m the other twin.” He tries, truly, but they’re just both so... Satoru to him, it really messes with his head sometimes. He does a lot of bribery, usually in the form of “if you don’t tell your mother about this, I’ll buy you whatever you want.”

Shoko was a big part of your pregnancy from a medical standpoint, but for the life of her she cannot tell those twins apart. She honestly finds their presence a little unsettling because they look so much like Satoru. They like her tho, because her apathy to watching them reads more as “cool, chill aunt” in their toddler minds. Aunt Shoko is a 10/10 in their books, even if she mixes them up 80% of the time.
