Rodydeku headcanons part 1 :)

I'm going insane over these two hggggg-

(this screenshot from the movie makes me cackle everytime-)

• Rody fell first, no questions asked. Deku fell a bit later when he actually had the time to consider his feelings when he WASN'T fighting villains and dealing with vestiges every three seconds.

• Before they parted after the humarise crisis, they exchanged numbers so they could still talk. And, I kid you not, as soon as Deku got home he called Rody immediately. Rody played it cool like-- "damn, miss me already hero??" As if he hadn't been staring at Deku's contact for the past ten minutes wanting to call him but not wanting to seem like he missed him or anything (he really, really missed him).

• From then on, they pretty much call each other every other night when they're free, giving each other general updates (or just to hear each other's voice) (Rody's like kicking his feet and twirling his hair during these calls-)

• Rody's contact for Deku is "mass murderer (heart emoji)" the heart emoji was added a little later on when Rody worked up the balls. Deku's contact name for Rody isn't anything special, just his name with a little ":)" on the side.

• Rody's crush is soooo bad. He definitely keeps up with anything hero-related on the news just so he can talk about it with Deku during their next call.

• I think Rody's voice helps Deku relax a lot, even if he doesn't realize why (keep this in mind, it'll come into play later).

• Rody thinks about the time when Deku spiderman-ed him around Otheon. A lot.

• Deku told everyone is class 1-A about Rody, more than he talked about the actual humarise crisis.

• During Rody's visit to Japan (in the spin off "team up missions" manga), I like to think he started developing a bit of an inferiority complex to Deku's friends.

• Like, who was he to Deku compared to all these friends that had been through so much together?? Compared to them, he was literally just some guy he saved the world with once.

• It didn't help hearing all the stories about Deku solving villain crisis after villain crisis with said friends.

• Of course Deku didn't think that way, and considered Rody a friend just like he considered everyone in class A a friend (with something a little extra there but he hasn't realized that yet).

• Deku once sent a picture of him and Eri during a little playdate to Rody the backflip his heart did when he learned that Deku was good with kids-

• Also, seeing Deku get along and be sweet with his siblings almost killed him.

• Sometimes, Pino will steal Rody's phone and send a random cluster of emojis with ninety percent of them being hearts. Deku was a little confused when this first happened, but after Rody (frantically) explained it was Pino, whenever it happens Deku just goes "hi pino!"

• Deku grows to be able to read Rody pretty well, even when he hides Pino from him. Although, having a friend with a built-in lie detector is pretty convenient.

• "Have you been missing me at all??" "Pssh, nah, you cause way too much trouble for me-" *distressed chirping in the background* "PINO." "I miss you too Rody :)"

• Rody pokes fun at Deku for the mass murderer incident all the damn time. "I don't know man, do I really wanna hang out with a mass murderer??" "Oh no, please don't hurt me mister mass murderer."

• Deku going on hero rants and Rody going on plane rants and both of them listening to each other with full attention :( <3

• Okay let's get into the more angsty stuff.

• After the war, and after all the villains escaped tarturus, and planes stopped getting to Japan and stuff, Rody was kinda worried (he was VERY worried).

• He was at work when all the commotion was on the news, and he completely froze when they mentioned UA high school. As soon as he got home, he tried to call Deku to make sure he was okay, but he got no answer. Because by then, Deku had already left UA high.

• Deku didn't want Rody to worry about him, so he pretty much ignored all his calls (feeling incredibly guilty as he did so) (also for the sake of it let's pretend he still had his phone).

• Rody tried so many times to call him, wanting to pull his hair out every time he was sent to voicemail. He was losing sleep just worrying about him, and Rody's siblings noticed. They tried a lot to try and get Rody to cheer up, which he did appreciate despite still being worried.

• He wasn't picking up his phone, and leaving a text just wasn't enough. So, eventually, he decided to leave a bunch of voice messages, as some way to make himself feel better.

• They started off with him trying not to sound too worried:

• "Hey, Deku! It's been a little while since I've heard from you. I know you're probably busy with everything happening in Japan right now. Call me back when you get the chance."

"The past few weeks at work have been exhausting. People are acting like the world's gonna end, but I'm sure things'll be alright. That's why we have heroes like you, right?"

"I was able to take Roro and Lala out yesterday, I sent you the pictures. Did you know Roro grew a whole inch?? Soon he's gonna be as tall as me!"

• Until they eventually grew more and more concerned and desperate:

• "Hey, I saw the news this morning. Japan is in really bad shape right now. Is everyone in UA alright??"

"You are getting these, right? If you have, please at least send me a message saying something. Roro and Lala have been worried, you know."

"Deku, I know things have probably been rough for you over there. For you and everyone else. I know I don't know you as well as your friends at UA, and I know that in the end I can't understand what's happening over there. But whatever you're dealing with right now, I'm willing to listen. So...please. If you're getting these- if you're even alive- just let me know. I'm worried, okay...?"

• At some point, Rody gave up on trying, only hoping that somehow Deku was okay, and that maybe he just wasn't getting his messages.

• But Deku was. And he listened to every single one, resisting to the urge to send him something, or call him. But he told himself it'd cause Rody more trouble if he responded, so instead, he just listened to each voicemail over and over, finding comfort in Rody's voice (he also looked at pictures of him with his friends for comfort as well but this isn't about them/j).

• After class A dragged Deku back to UA by the ear, once he was finally able to rest, he couldn't help but think about Rody and finally responding to him, but he wasn't sure what he would say, and he had a bunch of other things to worry about at the moment, so it slipped his mind.

• But eventually, as Rody was laying in bed thinking about Deku (as he had been doing for the past few weeks), he decided to try calling him again cause god damn it why not. He wasn't expecting a response, but at least he could say he tried.

• And to his surprise, Deku answered.

• At first, Rody just kinda sat there in shock, trying to process the sound of Deku's voice. And finally, weeks worth of emotions came spilling out and he just started ugly sobbing while yelling at him and questioning where he's been. Deku tried to calm him down a little, which only made Rody even more upset because how DARE you tell him to calm after you up and disappear for weeks without any sort of communication!!

• Knowing Rody's anger was justified, Deku told him he'd explain everything. And he did.

• He spent the next hour explaining everything that had happened to Rody. From the very beginning. How he was originally quirkless, how he got one for all, one for all's vestiges, the league of villains, All for one, Shigaraki. He explained everything, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders as he did so. Rody, though confused and confounded, listened intently.

• Once he was finished, Deku apologized profoundly for not telling Rody any of this, and how he just didn't want him to be put in danger. That's when Rody realized just how big the burden Deku had been carrying all this time, all by himself, truly was.

• "You've already put me in danger once before, hero." Rody said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood. Deku let out an weak, involuntary laugh. "You didn't have to hide this from me...you listened to all voice messages right? I meant it when I said I was willing to listen. You really don't have to carry that all by yourself..."

• Deku really couldn't help but sob once again at the support he got from one of his dear friends. And hearing Deku cry, Rody said he was a crybaby while also starting to cry as well.

• Just like that one time, both of them started to laugh together while still crying.

Okay, I finally broke down and read the MHA epilogue leaks and I'm throwing my thoughts at the wall here so they'll get out of my brain. I fully did NOT seek these leaks out, but I was inundated with them all over tumblr, Insta, and even TikTok.

First and foremost, canon genuinely means very little to me. 90% of my enjoyment of MHA comes from fan works, including creating my own AUs and whatnot with friends, so like... canon being bad can't hurt me. I'm also old and have lived through way worse queerbaiting and fandom wars. There's also probably a lot lost in translation that we don't know yet and won't know until the official release. 🤷‍♀️

In no particular order, here is my brain dump on:

Izuocha and shipping in general

- as mentioned above, I don't really care about canon and I don't think ships need to be canon to be meaningful and enjoyable. I'll ship characters who never meet. I'll ship characters from completely different fandoms. Who's gonna stop me? In general, I think the shippers need to stop putting so much emphasis on a particular ship being canon.

- ALL THAT BEING SAID, BKDK was my first MHA ship and it's incredibly important to a lot of people. I think Hori had the opportunity to do something with that relationship that would have been groundbreaking, and he chose not to. He also had the opportunity to simply not focus on any ships and he didn't do that either, soooo... yeah. I think it's okay to be bitter that we still can't have a canon queer ship in shounen. It's reasonable to be disappointed. BKDK and Togachako were the most moving and complex relationships portrayed in the entire manga, in my humble opinion, and it does sting that they got pushed aside.

- I am not a fan of Izuocha, even though I generally like Ochaco. I just find it boring. I'm not enthused by het ships in general, but Izuocha in particular has zero chemistry in my eyes. They're also very similar characters in their mannerisms and personality, and I prefer "opposites attract" type ships that are more dynamic. I prefer Izuku and Ochaco as besties. They went through such similar traumas during the war, being unable to save someone that truly mattered to them, I would prefer to think of this ending as them helping each other move past their PTSD to rekindle a closer friendship.

- ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, while the chapter did not explicitly pair up ANY couples (except apparently Mushroom Girl and Vantablack? which is?? cute but random???), it's definitely implied that Izuocha is pursuing a romantic relationship. Feel free to tell yourself something different but it is what it is.

The hero rankings and other random plot crumbs

- the rankings also felt so incredibly random to me?? Best Jeanist dropping below Mt. Lady? what??

- good on Lemillion being number one though, I always imagine him in the top spot and I think the MHA world needs a hero like that to lift their spirits after the war. It makes sense that he's popular.

- also makes sense that Shouto is number two but wtf do you mean AIR CONDITIONING HERO

- so many of the updated character designs on the adult heroes are BAD, but Jeanist looks slick

- they changed Shinsou's hero name? for why? and gave him a bad haircut??

- absolutely no mention of how Hawks and All Might are working to revamp the hero rankings system, do not accept this

- Mirio is one of my favorite characters but his scene was weird af

- so many inconsistencies in the art style and messaging

- people randomly saying ominous things with no follow through like "heroes won't be around for much longer" or whatever

- I saw someone mention an implication that Bakugou is married to a woman but I didn't find any sign of that in the leaks, so I think that's fake. I know everyone is upset about Dynamight being number 15, and I agree that's too low, but that irritation is low on my list of grievances.

- the whole conversation between Baku and Deku about joining his agency was confusing and unfulfilling? I get why Deku would say no to being a sidekick, but I also don't feel like that's what Bakugou was offering, and they had the conversation in the car with Kirishima... just awkward. Which segues into my next talking point

Horikoshi's writing as a whole

- I think you can easily track the degradation of Hori's writing from the vigilante Deku arc to now. It's disjointed, confusing, often strays from established themes, and meanders around on weird tangents. It's... not great. It's not awful, but not great, especially for an epic climax/epilogue. Which is fine! He's a human being, not a content machine! But I think it's fair for fans to be disappointed that the writing has gone downhill, especially since the art has improved and become much more dynamic and interesting at the same time.

- in my view, it's incredibly easy to see that Hori lost his passion and was completely burnt out on MHA as we approached the end. The writing reflects a desire to wrap up everything quickly. Vital details are written in text rather than shown on the page. Storylines and themes are abandoned. Characters die, fail, or excel completely off screen. Hori spends more screen time and puts more emphasis on random side characters (see: Dai and the figure escaped a basement and was saved by that grandmother) rather than main characters, probably because it would be too difficult to give better endings to the main characters.

- you can also see the difference between the complex symbolism and plot points set up since the very beginning in earlier chapters, and all of that complexity and the hopeful vibes are bled away at the end. It's sad, actually.

- I saw an interesting take that this final chapter is Hori trying to make everyone happy - implying Izuocha while leaving BKDK still kind of open, making Deku a teacher AND a hero, listing all of the rankings, etc. and I think this is the theory that makes the most sense to me. He's taking a safer route and trying to please as many fans as possible, while unfortunately disappointing everyone.

- I've also heard that there's pressure from editors or Shounen Jump to have the series end this way, but I don't know about that. I'd think they would want to keep milking this cash cow forever. Maybe that partially explains the lack of queer canonical ships.

- SPEAKING OF WHICH, I've heard consistently from the fanbase that Hori is more progressive and more queer-friendly than other mangaka, but I honestly haven't seen any proof of this. Feels like wishful thinking. I've also hear that he's had other canon gay and trans characters, but the only ones I know of are Magne and Tiger, both characters that are simply implied to be gender nonconforming and maybe trans. But these are also not necessarily great portrayals, even if they are intended to be canon. Maybe there are characters in other works of his that I don't know about.

- maybe I'm jaded, but I also can't shake the assumption that Hori purposefully implied Izuocha at the end because he doesn't like his main characters being seen as gay. We've seen this in many other fathoms. Even if Hori didn't want to make BKDK canon, there are other popular queer ships that could have been given a tiny spotlight if he really wanted to have that representation.

- this is going back to shipping a bit, but Hori had this entire manga to create a meaningful relationship between Izuku and Ochaco and he just... didn't? Instead he literally and figuratively pushed them together at the end? Why not show them going on cute dates and getting closer? Why not a kiss? It just feels like a half-hearted cop-out. Ochaco has more chemistry and more screen time with Toga's ghost living in her brain than with Izuku. I am not exaggerating.

- I think Hori has a major case of "oops I accidentally wrote a powerful queer love story" syndrome (see also: Destiel) and just didn't know what to do with that. There's so little room for chemistry with other characters when you make the entire story about Bakugou and Izuku's relationship. 👀

- I think a lot of fans put Hori on a pedestal and expected perfection, but it turns out he's just one guy and he can't please everyone. I never got the vibe that he was a particularly great writer, and I never got the vibe that he was going to make BKDK canon. I think he (kind of like a certain JKR) created an amazing world and beloved characters, and then really fumbled at the very end when all the pressure was on.

Okay, I think I've cleansed my brain enough of all this.

TLDR: I think Horikoshi's writing has unfortunately been going downhill for a long time and this is the culmination of that. I feel bad for the man because he's probably under so much pressure and so burnt out - he wants to be done. Maybe we would have gotten something better if Hori could take some extended breaks or hand off the manga to someone else.

I'm disappointed about BKDK but more in an "I'm disappointed that we couldn't have this representation in 2024" way than a personal way. I would have preferred no ships. I'll keep enjoying fan content of lots of different ships that aren't canon and you should too! The canon can't hurt you! I hope we get the queer shounen we all deserve one day.

OnK Chapter 152

Soooo as someone who reads this for Akane and for Akane only, I have to say that I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about her role in the upcoming arc.

We're entering the final arc and she has yet to get her second volume cover. If she doesn't get Volume 15 (and I'm praying she doesn't), then that should mean that whatever happens in the upcoming volumes (the final volumes!) will involve her enough to warrant saving her second cover to this late in the game.

We're entering the final arc and it's happening right alongside the Second Season, which is the season that will cover most of Akane's important chapters. So if Aka wants to deliver parallels, then there's a lot of potential for Akane to be involved.

...Watch Mengo and Aka stick her on the cover of Volume 15 and call it a day 🤡 But for now, I'll keep praying that we get a Goro/Aqua cover so that Akane is free to be used in better volumes.

I don't have much to say about the chapter this time around. I think we all knew that Aka was getting ready to end the manga, so I for one was happy to see that we're entering the final arc. The sooner we're freed, the better!

It's hard to gauge how long this arc will be, but I'd bet on ~30 chapters plus an Epilogue Arc. Coincidentally, there are exactly 28 weeks left until Christmas. In the manga, they are in November right now and Kana's Graduation (the most important moment in the manga, apparently) will take place on Christmas. So I can totally see Aka wanting his fictional Christmas to happen during, well, Christmas.

If he does it, then we could be getting 3 more volumes worth of content plus 1 volume for the Epilogue. Maybe.

Or maybe he will try to rush it and end it even sooner so that whoever gets hurt gets hurt when the anime adapts Chapters 64 - 65. That would be so rushed even for his standards that it would be wild, but anything is possible when it comes to bad writing lmao

Leaving that aside, look at my girl.

I love her. I love her so much. She has got quite a few reasons to be making this face, IMO.

Ruby was able to find a peaceful way to have her revenge and is thus ready to start healing, and the answer she found is healing those around her, too. Like Gotanda and Kaburagi.

Ai's heart was presumably portrayed in an accurate fashion, which is sure to pull at her hearstrings.

And considering that Aqua was the one who edited the movie, I think it says something about his current disposition that he respected Ruby's take and left the movie as it is, so that may be giving Akane another reason to smile.

Speaking about Gotanda and Kaburagi, I feel like their conversation foreshadows a lot of what this final arc will be dealing with.

Making amends, overcoming regrets and moving towards the future...

... people lying to themselves and "bottling themselves up"...

yet still holding out onto hope, deep down, of being able to fulfill the dreams that they have been denying themselves of all along.

Which takes me to: Aka's writing is so clumsy that his star changing colors every other chapter comes across as flip-flopping 😂

Back when his stars briefly became white only to turn black again, it served a purpose. It showed that while Ruby's words pacified the "Goro" side of him, he hadn't fully healed yet. If Aqua having his white star again is meant to signify that Kana's words managed to pacify the "Aqua" side of him, then... why in the world didn't we see his eyes go white last chapter? 🤡 If Kana is the reason why Aqua seems to have hopes for the future now, why not show it?

For my own sanity, I have to believe something happened in the time-skip. Maybe editing the movie was actually cathartic or something, who knows. I'm not even going to theorize anything about this, because the writing is giving me whiplash lmao so I'm just going to take a moment to point out that while Mengo took the time to give Aqua the haircut he is supposed to have here as per the prologue, she left out the piercing.

And I find that kind of funny, honestly, that this is where Aka seemingly draws the line. With all the stuff that Aka off-panels, Aqua getting a random piercing off-panel wouldn't have been shocking at all 😂

Another thing I found funny:

How many times does Aka need to repeat the same thing? Does he think our attention span is that short? 😭 Not to mention these words feel empty right now because he just went on a data with Kana with zero issue. Apparently, for Aka keeping his distance is only a thing if it involves making sure Aqua interacts with Akane as little as possible lmao

First thing first... I love this starting pallet (i'm definitely overthinking)

Not complete white not complete black with prominent shadows, because every major character in the show is grey and one half of each partnership likes to lurk in shadows...This just highlights that things won't always be merry and colourful, but they won't completely be helpless...

Now to the episode itself...

We knew Aya was going to jump... Glad she was oh so delicately caught by Aku... I didn't think it was possible to clear everything in one episode, but expect the unexpected i guess...

And the main part of Dazai being alive and kicking...No but really, this is such a relief...

I kinda had the whole thing in the back of my mind that they can't kill Dazai, he is necessary for the plot armour to plot armour and all that shit...

But there was equal chances of Asagiri taking notes from Isayama or Gege and just decide, fuck it... let's keep him dead....If not the confirmed dead thing, then the dead till stated otherwise route that Hori took.

But i'm soooo glad Asagiri didn't do that!!!

Also, glad to know he is still as cocky as ever

I screamed!!!! My fam started looking at me for two whole minutes like i've just gone crazy!!!

Because we got the prettiest boy speaking!!!

The look on Fyodor's face when he realised he was played by the one he had completely under his control (or he thought he had)... I think he realised the 'shallow bond' comment haunted him in this moment

But like i said, most characters in this show are grey... But there was none of Fukuchi's shade, and i didn't like it, even if in the end he wanted peace.

About JJK...... man.... it hurts.... It was so good...... until it wasn't 😭 Listen it starts out as a 6 or 7 out of 10 until it grows into a pure 10 out of 10 score for the Hidden Inventory & Shibuya Incident arcs ... and then it falls down a steep cliff right into a, in my generous opinion, 2 out of 10 score 😖 Post-Shibuya is so bad I can't even explain it bc it hurts too much to think about... I used to love this series so much and it turned into... this... It's heartbreaking. I only recommend JJK to you if you're aware that it's not that good and it's mostly carried by its battles rather than its plot or characters. And tbh the community is fun. I've had the time of my life when JJK was at its peak in summer '23 and even if the manga is ending in a few weeks, the anime is still ongoing for a few years at least, so there's that too if you care about that ❤

Maybe it’s just me but am I the only one who gets annoyed when people just don’t get the point/theme of an anime and manga?? Like if there’s something really deep going on and they just water it down to one thing (same for characters) idkkk like maybe I’m just yapping too much 😭 like how can you let something that’s really simple go over ur head. Ummm, so this was fun! Not!

Silly goofy me for thinking since we're wrapping up the manga they were out of opportunities to hurt me further. I let my guard down and got bamboozled so that's on me. Well, one last time to let them twist the knife, I suppose.

Soooo after waiting 5 years for Yato and Hiyori to so much as be on the same fucking page together, Father drops in out of nowhere and snaps Hiyori's cord, leaving her to crumple lifelessly on the ground while the Sakura quote about death repeats in the background. This was really so fucking rude to me personally. It's like Adachitoka reached into my greatest fears and decided to make the reunion happen in the way that would cause me specifically the most possible pain. Did they have to put the reminder of the hospital arc there?! I hate it here.

Anyway, while that part made me feel absolutely horrible, I've been talking to a lot of people and we all agree we don't think Hiyori is permadead. A conflict spanning the entire manga wouldn't be resolved in three pages, it would make no sense for either Yato or Hiyori's development to end her life, Father is able to manipulate the appearance of his surroundings but couldn't actually bring back Kaya from the dead, and Hiyori's unusual condition meant no one really knew quite how to fix it or what ripping the cord would entail. The official translation wrote it as "if it gets cut, you're dead" which reads to me like "you're as good as dead" rather than "you will die."

I may just be grasping at straws here, but my guess is that this scare will just be the push Yato needs to finally cut ties with Hiyori, as much as she's helped him out in ways he'll never be able to repay. Perhaps she will be very weak, or my personal guess is comatose, but I don't think that was it. If it was, well...that would be a very sour note to leave the manga on.

Could Yato name Hiyori and make her his shinki? Sure, probably, but that would also be antithetical to the themes of this manga, which are that change is inevitable while not always a bad thing; and relationships between the living and dead, while necessary, are tenuous. I wrote a 100k canon divergence fic about Yato making Hiyori his shinki back in 2016, because I didn't want it to happen in canon then and I don't want it to happen in canon now. Bringing them both over to the far shore wouldn't properly resolve the conflict that drives this manga, the single human involved with the gods and spirits.

Anyway, here's my prediction: Hiyori will be in a coma, Yato will cut her ties while she's asleep, and she'll wake up with only vague memories of their time together. I want to say she'll be able to give a proper goodbye to him and Yukine, but we're also living in the worst timeline so I won't get my hopes too far up.

I admit I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the chapter after that happened, but let's continue: ohhh Yato you wanna kill trash dad soooo badly <3 throttle him with your bare hands before I do <3

Kiun talking about how it's the younger generation's turn to lead makes me a bit more optimistic for the ending. In this sense, heaven's "kill first, ask questions later" attitude is not justified, and the newer shinki will slowly change the minds of the gods, and a more just heaven will emerge.

All the gods seem to be blighted, however. Kofuku and Take are shown holding hands to their necks, and Ebisu, Tenjin, and Arahabaki seem to have a faint cloud arising from that area too. Judging by Take's line following, the shinki seem to be uneasy about their choice to change the status quo, because the world is heading into a new, uncertain time. Kiun doubts his choice as well, since his determination not to kill anyone caused a fellow shinki to die.

"Weak gods will die, while only the strong gods remain, and this world shall witness the advent of gods without mercy" sounds kinda like a cull of heaven aka what Father wants...except in this case I think it refers to the gods who are willing to change and be more just being the ones who survive into this new age.

So, to recap, the status quo is changing, heaven seems to be heading for a marked improvement, as an indirect result of Hiyori's involvement. Thus, her impact will have a lasting, positive effect on their culture, and she'll be able to live her life knowing she made a very big difference in a few people's lives, and a smaller difference in more people's lives. Make it happen.

Small side note: I'm going to be starting a reread of the manga soonish, and since Twitter is going down the toilet I've decided to switch back over to liveblogging on Tumblr. I'm thinking of doing thoughts posts per volume similar to this format, but I'll see how I feel once I actually begin. I think Himaruya-san still does not fully realize how much impact his creation had on the world. Thousands of thousands of people have grown on hetalia, reading about countries which are located so far away it is simply impossible to know the real state of affairs. It's a common phenomenon - to not know almost anything about people who are literally on the other side of Earth - and to rely on your local information sources about them. Especially if it's the start of a new millennium, when the Internet is not so developed, and there are not so many ways to talk with actual representatives of a nation. But ignorance is no excuse, especially if you draw a worldwide popular manga, right?

Let me tell you how it looked from my nationalities' perspective - to read about Ukraine and Belarus through the eyes of Japanese people. Because an artist is always a representation, a Face of their nation, especially a popular one. We wondered, is it how Japanese people think about us? Although we were sitting on russian social media back then, even now, you can search хеталія in twitter and scroll through people's opinion, which is pretty much the same. Frustration. Sadness. Confusion.

Ukrainians (and Belarus) have always been respecting Japanese people - because I've never heard ANYTHING bad about them from my side. Never. And Ukrainians are famous for teasing people. And despite everything hetalia told about us, I still see not a single curse from Ukrainians. We were so happy to know Japan is actually on our side and supports us because we always believed this country is unsafe for us - because of hetalia! We believed that Japanese culture fans, those who study Japanese language, those who move to Japan are fools - because we thought Japan is extremely prorussian - because of hetalia! Don't you find it interesting that hetalia stopped being popular about 5-7 years ago and Ukraine started learning Japanese culture deeply than "omae wa mou shindeiru" also about 5-7 years ago? My teacher once said she moved out to China because it seemed more attractive to her than Japan. Can you imagine?

I don't want to curse anyone, especially now, especially after so many years have passed. I want to remind you that making the wrong decision is okay. What is not okay is pretending your wrong choice was right - especially when it still causes harm and pain to others. It's never too late to try to fix it - but what Himaruya-san does right now is pretending nothing happened and completely ignoring our existence. Although, he never really noticed us, didn't he? We are just silly crybaby sex-object russia's sibling nation. Blonde, white and blue-eyed. We do not exist for him outside this costume, which was soooo popular in russia, sooooo popular. Oh, russians do love hetalia because it helped them so much in spreading imperialistic propaganda among young people. It kills my people right now.

this episode has actually got me fucked. mahoroga vs sukuna is actually terrifying, like they are not holding back and after last episode idk why I thought things would calm down sukuna is a menace fr. his de is actual amazing and mahorga's ct is equally as amazing too bad sukuna is just that guy.

SuyaLight Master Post Part 6

I really like these two there’s not a lot of content for the fandom as a whole soooo here’s my submission as I get every moment of these two royals who literally share a braincell (and I love them for it) First up this is just on the manga if you are anime only its going to have stuff you havent seen, yes even with what the anime covers (so read it) and there will be spoilers so beware. Suya cuts her bangs poorly and is trying to act like shes not embarrassed and nothing happened Twilight catches on quick

After Twilight is among those you anonymously leave her a cheer up gift.

Suya wants Kai’s fulff and while Twilight sees through her lie he realizes she could actually be helpful in getting Kai to take a day off

It shockingly works really well as he knows the two pretty well

Too well actually as Suya now wants to steal Twilight’s beloved dog (though maybe co-parenting is better?)

Twilight wants to make hostage video to motivate the hero so he lies to Suya telling her they’re doing a fall leaf viewing. Its overall a good idea but

The guilt sets in quick

I think Suya is particularly hurt cause Twilight usually doesn’t lie. 

Its almost a failure but Vampire film and edited Suya’s despair over the leaves and it actually works. He is still surprised at how hurt she was by this and i think its cause of Suya’s growing affection to the demons.

Left alone for a bit Suya finds leaves and wanders off getting lost.

They meet a pair of brothers who try to help but the way the demons describe Suya doesn’t match her current behavior.

But the way she describes them is very insightful.

Even among the gentle and innocent guardians she sees Twilight as the purest.

They fix the confusion and are reunited and Suya gets her way

And it hits how she views them.

A wanna be spy works as the chef and gets the wrong idea. 

I do like that she is influenced by Twilights tastes. 

And that she then goes to eat with him 

Twilight tries to say its not hard to keep Suya in check and she undermines him at every turn. 

So they needed to Twilights dad and cause Suya can’t keep her nose out of things she tags along. And tries to be on her best behavior.....

But she assumes that means “act like a hostage” which is not what they need

While Twilight is trying to explain that the old demon castle is falling all his dad can focus on is wondering who this strange new girl is?

He comes to a conclusion only a father would. 

Which leads to a great misunderstanding. As he thinks his son is mistreating his bride and Twilight thinks his dad doesn’t approve of how he handles a hostage.

So Suya tells him a kind of abridged version of events

And cause Twilight thinks he’s asking how they treat a hostage he agrees.

And it goes bad

And the misunderstanding is finally revealed and they’re all good.

Twilight tries to gives his dad and tour and SUya keeps undercutting him

I don’t know which is better Suya just showed up assuming he’d go along or she did actually ask him ahead of time and he agree

Suya has enough awareness to realize Twilight may be scolded and that she should leave.

But its not he’s actually happy with it all.

I dunno its kinda sweet the implication that because of who Twilight is Suya is able to relax in the castle.
