Smitten: Despite the exuberant and overly romantic behavior, he finds more joy in the little things. The kinda person to watch their loved one pick lint off their clothes and thing about how incredible it is they’re on the same universe together.

Nightmare: She likes dancing, and seeing her flowy skirt swish around, and if someone were to approach and hold her as she spins without fear, she’d be the happiest ghost there is.

Smitten&Nightmare: I also headcanon that Nightmare’s organ shutting down is related to how afraid someone is of her, and so, Smitten isn’t affected at all when alone in her presence (except by her beauty!!!), that alone intrigues Nightmare, and I can see his earnest attitude quickly endearing him to her. I think Smitten would ask to take off her mask, and while he isn’t unaffected, he clings to his fortitude, and Nightmare is also actively trying not to break him. He find the beauty in what she is and then they kiss <3

Things that have happened to me in fallout 3 so far: (I’m going in completely blind, like I genuinely don’t know shit about this game AT ALL)

-Drank one bottle of vodka because I was injured and panicked because it gave me a pop up saying I was now literally addicted to it, didn’t matter because I died soon after anyways

-Spent like 20 minutes on the screen where you hack into the overseer’s computer because it was complicated as hell, then found out with google that the password was literally just in a locker to the right

-Got stuck (like literally unable to move) in a pit near vault 101 because I was in between a car and a wall. I had to reload my save, I screamed out “BETHESSSDAAAA” dramatically

-Went near a large ant expecting to just walk past it and it fucking breathed fire all over me, also made me scream

-Walked over a frag mine, was very happy I didn’t die, immediately walked over another one in the next room and died

-Got a new gun and was so excited to use it on a super mutant but instead I instantly died because in my own excitement I forgot that I didn’t even have the right ammo for it, all that happened was a sad clicking noise

-Got very excited to see what I now know are raiders because holy shit actual other human beings, ran up to them and got shot and died

-Almost put literally every important item I had in some random mailbox I’d never be able to find again because for a second I misunderstood how they worked

-Got completely lost for like an hour trying to find Megaton, accidentally started a bunch of random side quests in other towns that I ultimately was too weak/under leveled to complete, then when I finally just quick traveled back to vault 101 to start over and walked for a little bit, I realized that I missed the literal huge sign labeled “Megaton” with an arrow pointing in the town’s direction. Twice. It’s like the first goddamn thing you see after walking in a straight line

Side note but I’ve noticed everything I consume adds to like the amount of radiation I have, I don’t know what happens when you have too much radiation but something tells me I’m gonna find out at some point

I feel like that feeling of molting is entirely normal as you grow up, even if you experience a more extreme version of it. I totally understand and empathize though, as I've noticed a lot of systems and ego death experiencers do. I'm an amnesiac though (actually had it happen twice, once as a preteen and again in my mid teens). That sort of disconnect with your body and who you once were can be hard, unbelievably so, but from what I've noticed it kinda flows and ebbs. I don't think I've ever felt like the same person I was before, but I feel like there are times I'm more connected with the body I'm in and that the past is mine and other times I feel much less comfortable. I feel like over time though, the intensity of either tend to kind of mellow out to where you may feel more or less connected to your body but it becomes more comfortable. You've lived in it long enough that it feels more like you, in a sense anyway. Hopefully this helps in some sort of way, I suppose, even this ask is a little too rambly.

YEAH that's it this does articulate it pretty well .... I'm definitely very thankful I never had actual amnesia . But It feels like suddenly losing your muscle memory or something and having to get used to things again or like. grow back into your brain
