I should probably share this too huh, I originally made this for personal use but I'm just so happy with how it turned out.

Was slightly annoyed with the way some of the songs in the OST wouldn't loop seamlessly whenever my brain decided I needed to listen to a song on loop for 2 days straight, so I went about making the ones that didn't seamlessly loop. I wanted them to have a different thumbnail to differentiate them from the main OST, and since most of them were late game stuff I lent into the Act 5 stuff for this edit of the cover art.

Siffrin is just so front and center and the only real change to everyone else is making them Spooky #Spent so long cutting up the cover art digging threw the game & site to find higher res stuff to work with and then splicing things togethe #Matching the hatchmarking of the Spooky sprites along with the Act 5 edits to Sif were fun #Yes I even closed their eye ever so slightly to add to the tired look #And the Vivid Shade in the back took waaaaay too much effort. The original image I used as ref was too low res so I had to just redraw it #Frin Art #totally didn't upload the wrong version without the glow effect on the stars I don't know what you're talking about

LORILLEE IS BACK WITH PHOTOSHOP ART 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥#every now and again i like to put effort into something just to remind everybody that i can actually draw #well i say that but to be honest i put a lot of effort into those ms paint ''diego fey REAL'' doodles #but half of that is just because humans are a . something. to draw. and urban backgrounds are my worst nemesis #and also trying to work with ms paint to like slightly transform things is an incredible pain in the behind #anyways. yeagh 😎👍 behold the power of miego. getting me to actually finish something in photoshop for the first time in months #anyways. ive discovered the secret to getting me to draw stuff on photoshop. prepare yourselves accordingly #what i need to do is sketch & line something in ms paint. and then directly trace it over into photoshop #and then i can go ham #see because the reason i never did this before was because i would sketch things in ms paint #and try to line them in photoshop and it simply Wouldnt Work.#so i had assumed that if i wanted to draw in photoshop id have to sketch in it first. yknow. which i cannot do for some reason #something about the way the pen feels and the . its like the smoothing setting is on even when its on 0 percent. you know. anyways #but with this one i drew mia in ms paint as per usual . and i wanted to mess around with color & light #and i triedddd to do it in ms paint but unfortunately as you can probably imagine. doing stuff like this without layer filters #can get a little difficult. if you know what youre doing its obviously going to be easier but that being said i do not #when i pick colors i am literlaly just wildly guessing 😭🙏 which is fine for more straightforward coloring/shading #but not quite here. which is why i wanted to take a stab at it in the first place #so anyways i was like FINE WHATEVER and tried tracing the lineart in photoshop so i could take a stab at coloring in there #and i was . enlightened. (no pun intended). it WORKS #so anyways . you may actually be able to expect. some photoshop art from me #well ok thats a lie never expect art from me. but we can all dream together #anyways they really are the star-crossed doomed by the narrative romance ever. everything to me

#my art stuff #digital art #baldur's gate 3 #bg3 #astarion #astarion ancunin #this is part of a series I like to call “I’m never settling on a singular detailed artstyle”#I have no consistency in drawing realistic people/characters other than my shapy cartoon style #but I truly don’t get enough opportunity to properly shade anything with art in that style-!!! it always looks weird to me-!!!!!#I think some rude lil worm in my brain is wriggling around telling me it’s a futile attempt at still doing realism #cus I’m one of those “gifted” artists that grew up promising his parents he’ll end up among the big names or whatever #constantly training to become better at art but with realism oil paintings as the goal #you know how it is 😔#I wanna shade my lil funky designs but they never feel good enough to really put energy into or whatever so I compromise with stuff -#- like this where I try to draw characters more accurately while still stylizing them and shading them however I feel like it #which is great and all but I should really learn to give my more relaxed and less perfectionist art a chance #I deserve to enjoy the process and the result without working myself dead #it’s so much easier and rewarding to copy cartoon styles - stylizing realism makes me too anxious of doing it “wrong”#at least cartoon styles give me a goal to reach or a reference to strive towards #man I really should just cut myself some slack altogether #either way - this man is a flustered mess and he’s embarrassed about being called adorable in public or something #being teased in an affectionate way about his sweeter side and stuff #don’t ask why he’s shirtless - anatomy is just a lot more fun for me to draw sometimes #tasteful nudity and all that is extremely gorgeous to me #i need to practice anatomy more cus I just kinda did some shit and went with it this time with a BIT of consideration for muscle structure

So I have no idea how to use digital brushes effectively, so I decided to practice and putz around a bit with some acrylic brushes I downloaded a while back and ended up making this! c:

I went with Emilie Crosscode as my muse since I wanted to do fanart of a Crosscode character that isn't Lea for a change and was like, why not kill two birds with one stone? (I might've also been subconsciously influenced by this post).

It's definitely rough and there's some things I botched up and/or was too lazy to add/fix, but given this wasn't intended to be anything great in the first place I think it came out a lot better than I expected, and it was definitely a good learning experience, so I'm happy with it. 😊

P.S. I feel I should mention that I drew her from memory (not sure why I decided to do that maybe I just hate myself idk) so excuse any inaccuracies.

#fun fact: I didn't realize I'd forgot her earpieces until the very end and had to shoehorn them in 😭#maybe next time i'll try going a bit harder on the shading since it ended up being way more subtle than i intended #(and also try not half-assing the shading)#also i need to know a good way to blend/detail stuff with a brush without it bleeding into things i don't want it to #should probably watch some tutorials to actually learn what i'm supposed to be doing :/#i know lea's smug face is peak but emilie's deserves more recognition too #:3 #artwork #myartwork #crosscode #emilie crosscode

david oakes' takes and anecdotes on juan are always so delicious to read because he talks about him enthusiastically and understands the character so well and he makes sure to try to make people understand what led juan to behave the way he did without diminishing any of his wrongdoings. i can't lie i always giggle every time a borgia fan gets bothered under my gifsets that he isn't the b&w "villain" some of them wished him to be lmao
