Not sure if I even read the Breaking Point fic. Maybe, maybe not. But I have my own share of fics that "we can fix canon" but make worse.

There one fic I recall (the name slipped from my mind) where ofa somehow shows the class A1 all the abuse Izu endured by BK - it was all thanks to bk and Izu forced team up- and still...people did nothing.

Now think about this premise: ofa shows the abuse and people are just midly concerned.

Why is that? Why make Izu be seen as a victom and get help and support is smth so rare in this fandom?

It is rare see Ochako and his so called friends do stick up for him in fics and not be demonized. Hell, there one where class A1 finds out bk bully Izu(OH MY GOD HE TRIED TO KILL HIM...why fics make them discovery their past as if is a big plot twist?) And proceed to give a taste of his own poison.

And...."this is bad. They shouldnt do this. Poor bk"

You know, some stories talk aboht forgiviness and can be a really touching and well done thing....but those are rare, extremely so. I'm tired of "forgive them bc this is correct" let Izu hold grudges. Let Izu dont forgive bk and be in his right.

A dorama who got this right is The Glory. The mc was horrible abused and got her revenge and in no point people were "forgive them" to mc.

To conclude: this fandom seems to tnink Izu and pain are the OTP when it really isnt nor should be.

Yeah, the fandom can be... Desensitized to this issue so to speak. I think this is for two reasons.

1. So much of Bakugou's behavior is brushed off as a joke. It's easy for people to turn a blind eye to his treatment of Izuku because so much of it is glazed over by cheap laughs.

Honestly I'm pretty sure that's why people think we're so stuck in the suicide baiting in episode 1. Because that's the only moment the series ever really treats Bakugou's behavior as serious as it is. Like, yeah, that was bad, but that's far from the only thing Bakugou's ever done to Izuku. There's attacking him during the Quirk Apprehension Test, hunting him down and seriously injuring him during the Battle Trials, being purposely uncooperative and punching him during the Final Exam, coercing him into a fight after curfew and demanding information that absolutely wasn't his business, throwing his headpiece at him, attempting to forcibly draw Blackwhip out with no consideration of the consequences, etc. Mind you, everything I just listed happened at UA (a few when he was supposed to be "changing"). I would argue that a good number of these things were worse than the suicide baiting.

But they don't register in people's heads the same way because the narrative doesn't treat them the same way. So when fanfiction authors try to write these stories, they're only looking at one aspect of it while turning a blind eye to everything else. They might do a decent job addressing how Bakugou treated Izuku in Aldera, but do a piss poor job of addressing his behavior at UA.

2. Horikoshi doesn't allow Izuku to be looked at as the victim.

This wasn't always the case. We're supposed to feel bad for him in episode one. We're supposed to think that his treatment at Bakugou's hands during the Battle Trials is brutal. He was written to be the sympathetic underdog who's been given a bad hand in life and gets treated like shit because of it.

But that began to change around Deku vs Kacchan Part 2. Hori knew that Izuku had to forgive Bakugou if the viewers were going to. But there was also no way to realistically do this if he actually had a negative response to Bakugou's treatment of him. So he gave us the implication that Izuku wasn't bothered by it at all (which we know isn't true because he was extremely upset when Bakugou said what he said in episode one). He confirms this through All Might of all people, so it has to be true, right?

And most viewers will accept this at face value. Because they're looking for an out for Bakugou. They're looking for a way they can like him while not condoning a bigoted bully.

That's how I see things anyway

I think this will be partly the case. All for one had deffinitetly no good intentions towards inko and izuku at least at first and wanted to use them for his own plans. I agree that he considered izuku at first a possible vessel and that he was curious about what quirk he would get if afo and inkos telekineses mix. Add the inko shimura theory and everything falls to places (while this theory is not nessessory for everything to work, it just would turn full circle). I think he indeed tried to turn izuku into the perfect vessel, but things didnt go as he intended, mainly because he got attracted. There was no reason for him to marry inko and to STAY married if he was just interested in an offspring. If izuku is a "failed experiment" there is no reason why he still cares for them financielly. If he doesnt care and if izuku is a failed project there is no reason for him to be pissed off with all might for "taking something away from him" (he is not talking about yoichis hand here the jap. raw make that clear).

If we go by the timeline then izuku was either about to be born or a few months old when afo took 5 year old tenko in. That means tenko was still his "main project" while these children in the orphanages, dabi, chisaki, 6th were only considered replacements if tenko shouldnt work out, but his main focus was still on tenko. If izuku was originally meant to be such a replacement I think afo changed his mind because he 1. startet to care and 2. startet to enjoy this family life. So he considered izuku a "failure" not because manipulating izuku turned out to be difficult/impossible or because he was quirkless, but because HE couldnt bring himself in using izuku that way anymore, but of course in typical afo fashion he hides his true feelings by calling the son he startet to love "worthless", "useless" and so on, because hey the demon lord is pure evil and is not able to love remember?

About the tsubasa thing. I do believe little tsubasa got punished, because at one point they did go to far and either really hurted izuku or almost killed him (lets be real children that age are not aware how messed up their actions can be) and afos growing father feelings (he refuses to ackknowledge as such) and the same kind of possessivness he felt for yoichi kicked in. Little tsubasa was the child he had the easiest access to, but afo said about himself he holds grudged and we see in kamino how happy he is when tomura asks him for help with bakugou. He was absolutely delighted by the thought to kill bakugou himself and since bakugou was izukus main bully that makes sense. I think he allowed the bulling to a certain point but then "protectivness" and possessivness kicked in and he let his anger out on little tsubasa and since he holds grudges was happy to get finally revenge on bakugou after all these years.

So basically his intentions startet out of pure malice, but he got used to this whole family life, fathership etc and startet to enjoy that while at the same time making excusses to himself that he was still just using inko and izuku for his own gain because the person afo lies the most to is actually himself. The demon lord doesnt love and wouldnt care for a wife and son afterall, just like a demon lord would use "crocodile tears" to CONFUSE his enemy after his brothers death and would spend 200 years getting said brother back just because he is a "possession" and not because he actually loves and misses his brother. Right?!

I think Izuku was originally a Vessel alternative for All for one, All for one did not have Tenko as the only candidate, he experimented and considered other options like Dabi and Number 6, I believe Izuku was a test, if Someone genetically related could be a vessel, and also curiosity of what the result would be of Mixing All for one with a fourth generation Quirk, just like he did with Shigaraki and Number 6 he possibly moved the pieces in an attempt to turn Izuku into what he wanted

All for one, just as he did with Number 6 and Shigaraki, encouraged heroic desires in Izuku, to later turn this into hatred and resentment, All for one, to avoid attracting attention, blocked Izuku's Quirk, making Izuku appear to be Quirkless, similar to what he did with Tenko, the difference is that he didn't remove the Factor here

All for one knew that Izuku would be bullied for being Quirkless, and hoped that crushing his dreams would turn into hatred and resentment towards hero society, just knowing the injustice and cruelty of the world, generating the hatred that All for one needed, I don't think Allfor ordered Lil Tsubasa to be killed because he was bullying Izuku, but rather because he went too far and almost killed Izuku by throwing him from a great height.

However, Izuku held no grudge or hatred towards the people he was supposed to hate, for obvious reasons this made him less qualified to be a vessel than Shigaraki

All for one probably abandoned his project with Izuku for good after All Might left him disfigured, not having shown himself suitable as a vessel, is perhaps the reason why All for one calls Izuku Worthless, if he fails to prove himself worthy of his vessel for All for one he is also not worthy of the One for All which is why he considered it a mistake on the part of the predecessors to entrust the OFA to him

As the Danger Sensor never activated with All for One, it is possible that he has a certain consideration towards Izuku, but he certainly wouldn't admit it.

Ok i feel like i wanna share my thoughts on our little chapter 220. I read allot of different thoughts about it and i slept on it and i still have mixed feeling about it. I see the right in both sides and the wrong in both sides but one thing ik is that even if yu hon made Kouka great again he would have also been its downfall.

Yu hon was known to be cruel. To him he only cared about his family and his country and had absolutely no regards or mercy towards anyone out of these boundaries. His cruelty didnt run on just killing the enemy it went to extents of torture i can imagine and severing heads to make it memorable even though it was completely unnecessary. I most certainly believe that same cruelty would definitely go around and come right back to bite him in the 🍑. As we all know very well, karma is very charming. Doesn’t necessarily have to be him, it can be future generation as we have already seen with Xing which is the best example. and i also see that some in Kai have a grudges towards yu hon since that general mentioned him and it almost sounded like he was aiming towards “an eye for an eye” type of thing. U sever heads? Well how about we send ur people flying towards their death in front of u.

Someone said “a ruler has to be cruel.” “ a ruler has boundaries”. I disagree. That to me gives the ruler right to be a tyrant. Ur the kind of ruler u choose to be. A ruler can change laws to help his people if he so wishes, he has allot of power. How he uses that power is key. Now let me make something clear. Im not saying Il was in any way a better ruler, nop. Even he himself knows what a shitty ruler he is. Im saying that both of them were flawed and both of them would have in one way or another ruined the country. As both had no balance in their ways.

Now though i am a huge fan of hak which i established many times but far from that yet one of the reasons why i love him is that i truely believe that hak carries that balance. Yona carries allot of kindness and she still has allot to learn about war and being a ruler though she is not her father she does carry a part of him which is natural same as soo wan carries a part of yu hon. Again, how soo wan handled Xing was a great example. Though he had the chance to negotiate and avoid huge losses he still chose war and ignored their wish to make a deal until yona convinced him by her sheer will. Hak understands that a world without war is a pipe dream, and I quote. But he also would not fight unnecessary wars. He understands the cruelty of war but would go through huge lengths to save both sides. Hak sets examples and inspires strength as well as goodness in people.

The advisor might look down on hak and some might look down on him for saving an enemy, but that same action might be the reason this war shifts to Koukas favor. I believe that haks principle in life would be “why have enemies when we can have friends”. He fights when he has to and goes beyond to save those important to him. He understands when there are loses and morns for them. He fights with dignity and respect to both sides of the battle. He understands that innocent civilians shouldnt have to pay the price over two children fighting over milk. As well as weaponless soldiers Who raise the white flag should not be killed just cause they are enemy. Even in battle when u show respect it will be returned one way or the other. This same mentality along with his incredible strength and his influence on people i truly see that hak would become a great ruler. He would not only strengthen Koukas army but he would also strengthen Koukas relation to other countries. Not with fear or weakness but with a strong bond of friendship and respect. I truly see Hak and yona as a power couple cause they think the same but they also complete each other where the other person is lacking. Cant say the same for soo wan in the mix with yona he would only hold her back and dismiss her, which is the opposite when it comes to hak. We all know how much soo wan admires hak, he is soo wans goal and weakness. Thats why i would love it and I believe its only right that hak is the one that teaches soo wan that important lesson. Slap him in the face and show him where his father was lacking!

I see what you mean about Water Me! And I LOVE the idea of an into the woods style story. You could also go into the realm of Journey to the West if you wanna follow adventure shenanigans but with more cultural relevance to the setting. It's originally a Chinese story but there's versions across Asia if I remember correctly. (The Kdrama A Korean Oddessy, for example, is based on this tale and does a humorous modernization)

Maybe since the troupe average age is older they can go more into the realm of Black Comedy than just Slapstick. Like just let Yuki go ham! Tsuzuru sees Tenma and Yuki sniping at each other one (1) time and writes for three days straight.

(Also I'm having a horrific vision of a really pared down version of CATS instead of the Great Sardine Search and I'm trying not to think too hard about it).

I do like to imagine him being sort of a mentor to kiddo!Matsukawa in terms of music production. Like he let's him mess around in the studio and stuff. I think Matsukawa's canon talent in music is something that we all sleep on (I like to headcanon that he composed and produced all the troupe and play songs).

And Because I physically can't do anything without talking about Juban at Least a lil - Imagine Ginji Shenanigans but Director Banri's been keyed into the situation from the point where everyone starts suspecting Juza's secretly married instead of being brought in at the end. (I love the Ginji arc so much not a single brain cell to be found)

DEAR LORD SARDINE SEARCH AS CATS 2019. I HATE THIS BUT ALSO I NEED YOU TO KEEP TALKING. actually my friends and i have this joke that when the mankai company puts on Cats, the playbill says that homare is playing every role, and then there's that little understudy slip-in that shows the rest of the cast via that, and you need to figure out who homare is playing via process of elimination. our thoughts were that homare has the range to play all of them so he should get to choose each night who he wants to play.

TENMA IS... going through it ya. he's become disgraced as a celebrity due to um. some Undefined Scandal that i will eventually define, so that's why he's even joining mankai in the first place.

AND GROWN UP TENMA AND YUKI DYNAMIC... in the break i took, my friends and i discussed some new lore for mankai swap, so the reason yuki hates tenma so much is that he was hired to be his designer for a red carpet/met gala event, and tenma insisted on just weareing a tuxedo. so yuki still holds a grudge about this. last runway is catharsis for him bc he gets to make tenma wear interesting outfits.

Chapter finale bitch!

Jerico woke up with the wind tapping at her window, its early morning.

She sits on the bed, turning to see her loving husband completly passed out.

She giggles caressing his side, and pressing a kiss to his warm cheek.

Going to take a bath she then changed clothes and grabbed a black parasol heading for the village with waffle behind her.

It was cloudy, the night before it snowed so the homes were adorned with white.

She Walked around the market, grabbing some things she thinks Lucas would like.

Suddenly waffle barks and runs to an older Man.

He looked so familiar.

Walking up to him, he picks her dog up, talking to her in a familiar accent -- ah hello waffle! No time no see!

--well color me impressed, nikolai?

The Man looks up to jerico, with a warm smile-- oh look at you, all grown up now

Jerico giggled, grabbing waffle-- what are you doing here?

-- I live here of course, and what are you doing here?

Jer shrugged-- well you remember that the dimitrescu family adopted me, so this is my home too

Jer leans against Lucas shoulder as he eats, handing waffle a piece of a....waffle.

-- she can eat that?

She raised her brows with a smile-- okay okay fine--Both giggle and kiss-- you should brush your teeth after this okay? You have bad morning breath

That same night, they had unexpected visitors, the long and big dinner room was perfectly decorated, there were some extra plates, wich jer didnt notice much.

She turns around to find her old four lovers at the door of the dinning room

Lady dimitrescu walks up behind her-- I invited them over, since today its your fourth anniversary with Lucas

She knew her mom didnt do this on purpose, but she couldnt let it slide today.

While eating jer was deadly silent.

Lucas,who sitting Infront of her, took her hand-- are you okay? Youre too quiet

-- well, having to eat dinner with your exes is kinda tough

He nodds squeezing her hand-- you can concentrate on me, its just for Tonight

She nodds and finally smiles-- youre the best husband ever, did I told you that?

He smiles-- all the time hun

Jericos exes smile at the scene, yet a part of them also hurted, how did they let slide someone as wonderfull as her?

Theyd stay the night,and a couple of days more, as they all chattered,except jerico who went to walk with her dog Carlos spoke up.

-- you are one lucky Man, you know that? -- he said drinking from his glas-- everyone of us let her slide, some more than others -- he looked a nikolai who insulted him in russian.

-- well, you guys gave me a tough road-- Lucas said-- Man,she was devastated, she cried Rivers upon rivers-- he noticed the pained expressions of the people around him-- but uhh... we solved it,shes happy now wich is what matters

They nodd-- amen

That night, jerico was soundly asleep, its maybe four am, she wakes up, her throat dry.

Being careful not to wake up Lucas or waffle she opens the door, just like her sisters, jerico could turn into a cloud of insects, and that she did, floating to the kitchen where she transformed into a human again.

With a glass of water in hand she drank from it hearing ball music play in the Background.

Walking to the ballroom she peeks her head into the room, her mom always liked dancing at late hours of the night.

--Mind if I ask you for a dance?-- jill scared the crap out of jer.

-- JESUS! You scared me jill!-- she sighed, to then smile-- yeah of course

Alcina smiled watching her daughter dance,she taught her well.

They moved gracefully across the floor.

When the song ended jill pulled jerico closer.

-- nice dance,partner-- they heard Kevin say in the distance

-- ah thanks-- jerico fixed her clothes-- as much as id like to dance all night, I gotta go, Lucas has to wake up early and im the only one that can get him out of bed, by yall!

She bolted to her room, throwing herself into her bed, Rolling on her side to hug Lucas.

The Next morning jerico heard a soft knock on her door,Jill enters with her breakfast-- hey, hey jer wake up

Jer yawns sitting on the bed-- oh..thanks jill--she sits up looking at the food.

-- whats wrong?

--nothing it just reminds me of when we were togheter

Valentine sighs-- I never apologized did I? Im so sorry , I shouldnt have left you for work, I realized it too late..

Jer hugged her -- its okay, I dont hold it against you

She smiles,--mind if I Keep you company?

During the afternoon, Carlos and her played football on the courtyard--like old times right!

Both spend an hour or so,then Kevin gaver her a ride to the market since her own Motorcycle was broken.

When she hugged him,the old feelings came back.

-- remember when we used to go and ride around the city? We used to do that all the time!-- kev said.

Jerico laughed-- yeah we did! It was so fun!.

And at night she spend it Reading with nikolai.

The old feelings came back, and she told Lucas this.

-- im not trying to say that you arent enough-- shes been on a tangent for two minutes now.

Her husband kisses her-- jerico calm down, I know what youre trying to say, all I wanna know is, would you be happier if they are with you too? --She nodds hiding her face on his chest-- then so be it, I just want you to be happy remember? I promised you that when I asked you to be my girlfriend..

Jericos now exes were stoked, theyd take her back in a heartbeat.

And Lucas found himself making Friends with them too, specially nikolai who was just as much of an evil genius as he was.

Jill always scolded them both, Kevin joined their misadventures from time to time.

And Carlos was the only one making sure Lady dimitrescu didnt throw them all out.

Things were bound to get interesting and even with the possible Shenanigans that were sure to ensure, jerico wouldnt have it any other way.

Sorry this one took longer than the others, I've been really busy lately!! This one starts around the middle-end of Chapter 2 but from different perspectives. I had a lot of fun writing it! I'm very glad I finally got to write Gowon cause I love her personality so much.

Vivi stood in O2, covering her hand with her mouth as she looked at her dead body. She didn't know how to respond. Nobody really knows how to respond when they're a ghost looking at their own dead body.

Hyejoo. She had no idea. It wasn't like they were close, it was the exact opposite in fact. The longer she thought about it, the more it made sense - she had probably killed everyone else too, not Jinsoul.

Jinsoul. Hopefully nobody bellieved her after she accused her, after all, Sooyoung did say she saw her at the medbay scan.

She knew about Hyejoo, but now....

Who were the other two imposters?

The doors slid open and she let out a sigh of relief. Hyejoo was gone, but hopefully whoever found her body would find evidence around the  room. She had to tell them somehow, too. She would find a way. Maybe she could type a message or something out in admin.

Yerim and Yeojin ran into the room with someone following behind them. Yeojin went to fix the oxygen, Yerim found her body, and that someone else with them looked at her. Not her dead body, but her.

"What are you doing here?"

They both wanted to say something, but neither were really sure what. Were they supposed to say sorry for your loss? Should you say that to a ghost when they're dead? Is that how it works? Haseul had met the other ghosts, but not immediately right after they had died.

They were both distracted by a scream. Vivi wondered if Hyejoo had gotten someone else, but it was just Yeojin. She had found her.

Haseul winced. "I really didn't want her to find someone..." Yerim and Yeojin ran out of O2 to go report the body, leaving Haseul and Vivi in the room alone.

"We should..... Probably go to the discussion in the cafeteria. It's stressful when you're alive but actually sort of fun when you're dead. Come on."

"H-Haseul, the door is that way."

"I'm just taking the shortcut," Haseul said as she stepped into a wall. Vivi gasped. "First time being dead?" she said, trying desperately to make Vivi laugh.

"Yeah, actually."

"Oh. Right."

Vivi and Haseul took their seats at the table with Yeojin and Yerim. Vivi had never seen Haseul look as concerned as she did now as soon as she saw Yeojin crying.

She gently placed her hand on the green crewmate's hand. Haseul seemed shocked, until she looked over and saw Vivi. She smiled and mouthed "thanks," as she intertwined their fingers.

Even though they hadn't spend much time alive together, Haseul was glad Vivi was trying to comfort her now. Honestly, Vivi was really the one who she should've been comforting. It's not everyday you get murdered.

As people started to pour into the cafeteria, Vivi realized that she would get to reunite with the other dead crewmates.

Chaewon came with Heejin. "What happened? What did I miss?" she asked as she sat down. Vivi waved. "Oh. That isn't good."

Jinsoul and Hyejoo ran in next but Jungeun ran faster from behind them. "JINSOUL SUS!" she yelled, taking her seat.

The eden green crewmate scooted over to make room for her. "Vivi's dead."

"Shi-"

"Jungeun what did I say, no swearing when Yeojin is around! You're gonna be a bad influence!"

"She can't even hear me, Green. And anyways, the only bad influence we have to worry about is Jinsoul. I was in reactor with her, haunting her, you know, and Black came up through the vents. She asked her if she went through with it."

Vivi gasped. It really was Jinsoul.

"Wait, if Blue is an imposter, and Burgundy defended her this morning-"

"Then Sooyoung is also an imposter." Chaewon sighed. "I was the first to know."

"She killed you?"

"Mhm."

Vivi tried to focus on the conversation.

"I didn't see anyone vent." Hyejoo shrugged and looked over at Jinsoul. She nodded.

"We didn't go over the vents in our training, I don't know anything about them."

Jungeun scoffed. "Liar."

Heejin raised an eyebrow. "Wait- but you said Red vented yesterday."

"Exactly!" Jungeun threw her hands up in exasperation. She crossed her arms and leaned over to Chaewon. "I'm glad somebody here has common sense."

The crew continued to argue as the ghosts just watched everything go down. Eventually, much to Jungeun's delight, they decided to eject Jinsoul.

Jinsoul was An Imposter. 2 Imposters remain.

It had been one day since Jinsoul was ejected. The other ghosts were as far from thrilled as they could be about her being with them.

"You can't sit with us."

Jinsoul rolled her eyes. "What is this, Seul, Mean Girls?" She moved to the other side of the table and sat with them anyways. "So what are your tasks? I'd help, but I kinda didn't have any to begin with."

"I finished all my tasks for this week already, I'm just planning on making sure Yeojin doesn't find another dead body," Haseul gestured over to Yeojin, who had seemingly recovered from finding Vivi in O2

Jungeun pointed to Jinsoul. "Not going anywhere with you, even if I didn't have tasks."

"Again, I'm sorry for lying to the crew about you venting."

"I'll consider forgiving you."

"I got bored yesterday and did my tasks for today. I'll probably end up.... hanging out with Haseul," Vivi looked over to where the crew's former leader sat. Haseul smiled at her.

"I have some stuff in storage and the upper engine, but it shouldnt take long. We can hang out and haunt people after that though. I don't have any particular grudges against you," Chaewon shrugged.

"Nice! Wanna stalk people on cams?"

"I'm down."

Chaewon had finished her tasks and was sitting in the security room with Jinsoul. "Is this what you usually do?"

"Yup. Everyday!....... I have no life."

"Kinda literally."

Chaewon smiled and rolled her eyes. "Sometimes I do hang out with Hyejoo. She's kinda nice to me. Or I mean, was kinda nice to me.... Then I found out she was all murdery."

"Yeah. Is that Sooyoung?" Jinsoul pointed to the screen. The burgundy crewmate sat on a bed in medbay, while she watched the peach one mess with the scanner. "Peach needs to get out of there, she's practically asking to be killed."

"Ugh." Chaewon scoffed. "Not those two again." She clicked on that section to make it fullscreen. "They're always flirting. Jiwoo practically replaced me."

"What do you mean?"

"The alliance? It started out me, Sooyoung, and Hyejoo, but then Sooyoung killed me and got Jiwoo to join."

"Hold on, the other imposters had an alliance and didnt tell me?"

"It makes sense why they'd get Jiwoo to trust them. I hate to say it, but she's... pretty stupid." On the screen, the peach crewmate pushed a bunch of random buttons, giggling. One of them made sirens start to go off. She panicked a bit before whacking a random button that made things go back to normal. "She could watch Hyejoo vent and she would think she was just cleaning them or something."

Sooyoung said something they couldn't hear and Jiwoo laughed like it was the funniest thing she had ever heard.

"It definitely helps Sooyoung that she's a huge simp."

"Why isn't it working?" Yeojin mumbled to herself as she swiped the card quickly, over and over. The machine kept on blinking "TOO FAST."

"Hmm..." Heejin looked deep in thought. "Oh! Orange! Try doing it really slow!"

"Good idea!"

"TOO SLOW."

Haseul stood in the corner, holding her face in her hands. Vivi couldn't help but giggle watching the whole scene. She never had the card task, but there was no way it was that difficult.

Hyunjin and Yerim walked in. "You guys okay?" Yerim asked.

"No... Pink and I can't figure out the card task."

Hyunjin walked over, taking the card from Yeojin. She flipped it to be vertical, trying it again. "Man. I really thought that would work."

Vivi was enjoying watching the crew try to figure out one of the most simple tasks when Haseul tapped her shoulder. "Hey. This is pretty insufferable, and I wanna show you something."

"Okay..." Vivi followed Hyunjin through the walls and to the cafeteria.

"Okay, this is pretty scary the first time you do it, but trust me, you won't fall."

"What is it?"

"Just.... Close your eyes." Vivi did as she asked, and felt Haseul take her hands and lead her somewhere. She noticed at one point that there wasn't really a floor beneath her anymore.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now."

They were in the middle of space. Vivi looked behind her, seeing that the ship wasn't too far. She panicked for a moment, thinking she would fall, but she just floated there.

"This is probably the coolest thing about being dead. That... sounds weird, but I know you get what I mean."

Vivi nodded, still trying to comprehend the fact that she was just floating in space. "What about oxygen?"

"We're dead," Haseul nearly snorted.

"O-oh, right..." Vivi started laughly, probably as a coping mechanism. "We're dead!"

"We're dead!" Haseul threw her arms up in the air.

"We're ghosts and we're dead!"

"We're super dead! Deader than dead!"

They both just started just uncontrollably giggling like they were at a sleepover at 3 am, holding onto each other's arms for stability even though they couldn't fall.

"I HATE TO INTERRUPT WHATEVER'S GOING ON BUT WE HAVE A SITUATION!!!"

They looked over to where the voice was coming from and saw Chaewon and Jungeun, both still partially in the ship.

As soon as they got back, they realized that there was one less crewmate and one more ghost. There was definitely "a situation."

Holds a massive grudge against a specific member (don’t know who – maybe Jeonghan? Maybe one of the guys who overran Y/N?) and wants to ruin them. Orchestrated this whole thing and ‘leads’ the ‘investigation’ so it’ll lead to (a) certain member(s), in order to ruin them or keep them away from Y/N.

Got extremely jealous with how popular Y/N became with SVT. SVT is neglecting her once again, and Y/N is neglecting her as well, hanging out with her new friends instead. I feel like we all forget that in the first profile post, it’s stated that Mingyu and DK are close friends. Maybe he got über salty at Y/N not getting together with Mingyu, like he wanted to (?)?

Feels abandoned by Y/N. Wants her to feel the same abandonment.

Minghao:

In the same class as Y/N – maybe a petty ass reason but she could’ve been too much competition? So he wanted to get rid of her? Essentially make her so disliked she’s forced to leave for her own sake.

Maybe wanted to get into SVT, but got rejected. Tries to shake them up (Wonwoo and Jihoon left SVT already) so he maybe gets a chance to join SVT.

You know, it’s really ironic – in Newsflash! 10 Joshua cites the fact that SVT just left Chaeyoung behind as his reason as to why he doesn’t tell Chaeyoung the truth. Okay so to get this right: Y/N, Chaeyoung and Seungkwan have left for 1 week; Y/N drops her phone into a river in Thailand; that same week the thread was posted (but not on the exact same day?); very soon after that Sohee shows up and lies. That's… quick. How did no one of SVT think "wait, how come she showed up so soon after the thread was posted??" They really have -5 braincells, huh.

Questions I have/Things which don't add up for me:

Why was Chae’s Dad okay with Joshua still being friends with Chaeyoung? Is it because they didn’t have a thing for each other? Also, Chaeyoung's father still could've threatened Joshua. Either by threatening to take away his scholarship (if he has one) or by threatening to kick him out of university. Why was Joshua fine?

Why was it only Joshua who held to Chaeyoung when shit went down back then? I can understand Jeonghan, since his education was threatened, and Seungcheol, since he seems to be close with Jeonghan. But all the others? Did none of them, of all 12 (10) of them, care enough for Chaeyoung to say ‘I am resigning from SVT, I want to keep being friends with you’? My point is: it seems that SVT has a history of dropping people quite easily. Especially girls. Which is ironic, since SVT’s motto/theme is about respecting women and making them feel happy.

Then again - for how long have Joshua and Chaeyoung been friends? For how long have Chaeyoung and Y/N been friends? We know Joshua and Y/N are childhood friends (as far as I remember), but since Joshua said he met Chaeyoung during his time in SVT and only got close to her at that point, I don't think Y/N and Chaeyoung were childhood friends. But we also know Chaeyoung and Y/N were friends in Highschool, or else Chaeyoung wouldn't know about the reason why Y/N left for Japan. So... was Joshua just not aware of Chaeyoung, the best friend of his childhood friend? (How would that work??)

How did Y/N not know of SVT at the beginning of Newsflash! ? Like, she has to ask Chaeyoung who they are, even though Y/N has already been there for 2 Quarters. I get being a reclusive, I am too, but even I know about the very popular stuff going on around me. And SVT has to be popular. A host club/frat like theirs, not popular? They wouldn't bring in money if they weren't. And they do, as far as we know. So... is Y/N so unaware of her surroundings?

What also confuses me – we know Chaeyoung and Y/N have history. We know Y/N and Joshua have history. But Seungkwan and Y/N? We don’t know about them. We’re told he’s close friends with Y/N (Mingyu asking Seungkwan for help for getting Y/N and Seungcheol together, Seungkwan being the one to travel along Chaeyoung and Y/N), but we don’t see it. We see as much of their friendship – even less – than of Y/N’s friendship with Vernon, Dino, Hoshi and DK. I’m just- what’s their history? Why was he the one to travel alongside Chaeyoung and Y/N? Yeah, Chaeyoung said it’s because he’s not trying to get into Y/N’s pants, but… neither is Vernon or Dino. Or Seokmin. Hoshi is on shaky grounds, but I don’t think he wants to either. Did DK and Y/N ever actually meet? Either during Newsflash! or Move! ? Hey! I hope i can share this with you since i dont really have anyone to talk to. If you ignore it it is okay though. So i had an argument with my mom which consisted in her making a comment that upset me and me not very maturely beging defensive. And i tried to talk to her why i get defensive. She wouldnt listen and always says theres no reason for me to get upset at her bc shes my mother and i shouldnt see her as a threat. I wrote a letter to her explaining how i feel nondefensively.

Cont) so i wrote a letter to her and she refused to read it saying that action speak louder than pretty words. And now she's holding a grudge on me. It makes me feel horrible bc im constanly being called selfish and unconsiderate for trying to communicate with her. I apologized for being impulsive in my response. I also told her that she should consider her fault too as ita only normal to make mistakes. It's fruitless and i feel like shit.             

First of all, I’m sorry you’re feeling this way, Anon. Feeling misunderstood (as much as people like to make jokes about it) does actually suck, as does feeling like no one is listening. I don’t know what this was about, and circumstances def matter in this kind of instance. So some of my advice might be a bit iffy.

However, constantly being called those names for trying to communicate isn’t okay, and the fact that you apologized is good. It sounds like she is using those words to box you in and refuse to have to consider her own actions, which is... pretty selfish and inconsiderate. I think insecure parents often project onto their children; at least, that’s my experience. (I got called those two words a lot too.) It also sounds to me like she got really defensive, which indicates insecurity to me.

Trying to communicate is not selfish. Being offended by something someone said, even if they did not mean it to hurt, is not inconsiderate. When someone says “this hurt me” you don’t get to say “no, it didn’t.” Even if you didn’t mean to. The problem is that the choice of whether or not to be a better person and try to understand someone you disagree with is up to them, and our parents are human and often let us down. And unfortunately, at the moment she doesn’t seem willing to reconsider her actions. (I also want to say the letter is a good idea because for me, I know I have to step back from arguments because I def will say something I’ll regret unless I think first. So you did a good, Anon. I’m sorry she had that reaction, though.)

Here’s my advice for dealing with her in the future: wait a few days, until the argument has simmered down (if it does). Then ask to talk to her again. When you talk to her in the future about moments like these, it’s really helpful to use language like “when you said [insert fact here], I felt [hurt, upset, etc].” Specific examples are useful, and framing it in “I felt this way” language removes their ability to be defensive and claim that you’re being accusatory. For example, you might say, “when you call me selfish and inconsiderate, I feel hurt because I am trying to communicate with you, but it has to be a two-way street. Both of us can make mistakes, but I want us to have a good relationship. I feel as if you hold a grudge against me, and I don’t know how you want me to communicate with you when you say something that might hurt me, because we all make mistakes and do hurt each other.” Frame it with a reward (better relationship) too, and as something the two of you can work on together so it sounds like accusatory.

Know this too: what she says about you is not necessarily true. When someone says something mean to you, you do not have to believe it (easier said than done, trust me, I know).

Why Shigaraki can get redemption? Hints (give it a chance)

well first of all, obviously i am not sure about that but i would like to share what i saw with you guys so please give it a chance. and first, let me say this. i usually dont like villains and dont care that much. cause i hate when someone excuse their past  even though its understandable but this time, its different. this is my first expectional. and i didnt care redemption things that much in the past but this one is my first and i hope it really can happen. i never saw someone who deservers and needs redemption more than anyone else. he needs a hero more than anyone else.

and my favorite character is deku, second is shigaraki and thats why this redemption is important for me.i want real justice. and only this redemption can bring real justice to this story, i think. thats why i love deku, tenko and this story. i believe this is all about, this is what it supposed to be so hopefully you can read it. i believe, its worth it. first, tenko one-shot from horikoshi. there is a character that named “tenko”. main character. and that kid is really similar to shigaraki but he has different life. in that story, tenko wasnt manipulated by someone. he had tragedy but still, he was a good person with his own way. he was lost, broken whatever and in the end of story, he was saved by hana. hana save him from his curse.

oumagadoki zoo. shiina is shigaraki. now. he is an adult but mentally kid. no one manipulated him. and also luckiely he had his friends. he had a curse and trying to healing with his own ways. then hana came and well in the end of the story, hana saved shiina from his curse (it cancelled but it was the real end, i think)

in every story, shigaraki is a character who is lost, broken, dont know what to do and waiting for to being saved. he is a traegedy character in evrey series. no family, tragedy, they all have their own curse and blah blah. well, tenko from one shot and shiina from oumagadok zoo was luckier than shigaraki. in bnha, shigaraki is completely lost, broken. its like same people who has different life.

and in every story, hana is the one who saved tenko from his curse. if you really read these stories, real hana in this story is deku. so deku is the one who will save tenko from his curse. (it doesnt mean that it has to be same but still, hopefully it can happen cause i think it should happen.)

they were good victims but shigaraki was bad victim? shigaraki was DEHUMANIZED, he was groomed to be a villain. its really important difference. anyone could be like him.

for example, eri doesnt remember his father s death but shigaraki does. his pain is deeper than anyone else s. and overhaul didnt remind of her what she did cause he doesnt care about her. she was just tool. but for afo, tenko was important as his successor, as his product. he was needed to be manipulated. i think at first tenko also didnt want to hurt anyone just like eri thats why he was wearing the gloves, at first. something must happenned to change his mind.

stop underestimating and ignoring tenko s pain. cause i can see the kind, gratefull child who wants to be saved inside of him. he could be cruel, ungratefull like overhaul (he betrayed the man who took him and that man didnt even force him to being a akuza, he said you can go.) but even though, he was dehumanized, he didnt. he was always different from othner villains and always close to good side s victims. if you really think about it, you can see it too.

not just with parallels, he is doing with a lot of ways. he is showing to deku that something has to change. with heroes, with villains even with his quirk.

4- MAIN CHARACTER:

a) deku shouldnt kill shigaraki

(even shigaraki kills allmight or someone who are precious to deku, even its inko or hana who is tenko s sister cause it wont change the fact that shigaraki no tenko still needs to be saved. enemy or not, there is someone who needs help, and you must save him. who, how, where, doesnt matter. this is the true hero

and deku is not the type who gets revenge or hold a grudge, even overhaul hurt a lot of people, only thing deku was thinking was “its a villain who needs to stop” not kill or revenge he doesnt think these kind of things.)

and i dont think he will. its not just about shigaraki. its about deku. its about just who he is. he is a hero, TRUE HERO and he shouldnt kill villain. he shouldnt kill his biggest enemy, no matter what happens. thats the certain difference between villains and heroes so deku wont/shouldnt kill shigaraki.

b) i just cant imagine a future that deku s giving up on saving tenko. deku will eventually learn his story

i mean if he wouldnt learn, it wouldnt makes sense so after he learnt that how much shigaraki victim is,

we all know that deku will try to save shigaraki from his curse. you can say that shigaraki wont want that but the posibility that tenko s being a hero will always be there.

i mean he saved eri. shigaraki s condition is worse than eri so he will just give up?

it just doesnt fit deku s character. he should find a way no matter what happens. i mean come on, its deku that we are talking about.

i dont believe that deku would call himself a “hero” if he couldnt save tenko but deku said “this is the story how i became the greatest hero” so definitely he should save tenko

c) we have a main character who can change the future so

deku can smash shigaraki s fate about being antagonist and destroying everything. (interesting part is remember this, all “future changing/bending fate thing) is happenning to save eri who is parallel with shigaraki. eri is one of the biggest proof of that shigaraki should (hopefully will) be saved.)

d) deku and bakugou are learning “save and win” part.

so what if someone that you must defeat and save is the same person? answer is obvious. you should stop him, defeat him. (not killing him, obviously). and save him (giving him a new chance,hope, showing what hero means). i dont exactly know how it will happen though.

e) how deku can be greatest hero? how deku can show the difference between true hero and others?

did anyone try to understand villains? did someone try to fix something before? no one did so only deku can do this. only deku can change things.

and deku might get some help about shigaraki s redemption from his friends maybe, who knows cause he is not the type that who fight alone. he will fight with his friends. unlike allmight. maybe unexpected characters will also help deku too about this, who knows. we will see.

and maybe until the last fight, we will all loose our hope about this redemption, not just we bnha fans, also all characters in bnha including deku but maybe last moment, deku will make some miracle, i hope he can.

he (his true hero soul) is my only real hope about this redemption. so we wont get real answers until the end, unfortunately.

5-STORY:

a) shigaraki is a very broken character and he is one of the most tragic victims in anime history

 and this a story about heroes, justice and showing their faults to heroes and made them better heroes so in these kind of story, shigaraki shouldnt stay as a victim but if they dont save tenko, he will allways be a tragic victim cause there is a posibility that he could become a hero will allways be there

b) shigaraki was ignored by the world when he was a kid.

so are you telling me that he will be ignored and abandoned by the world again? didnt everything happen cause of people s ignorance? it just doesnt fit this story. time to stop being ignorance.

c) you can say that he is the antagonist

but who said biggest enemy cant be redeemed? in the end of story, why not? after the big fight with deku maybe? cause we all know shigaraki is the last boss and will become the greatest villain so maybe greatest villain doesnt mean evilest villan?  it means the most dangerous villain maybe? and remember, people who are in pain are the ones who are the most dangerous. so its basically what makes shigaraki dangeours. his deeper pain. his victimhood is what makes him a villain. it still can chappen.

d) in this story, there are a lot of victims especially villains s backstory.

so someone has to change this and you cant change this while killing villains. you have to find something else, another way. especially shigaraki is a blow-back and you cant just destroy blow-back. if you do that, one day another shigaraki will be born and nothing will change but it will be worse

e) not just villains, even in hero side there are a lot of people who are victims and a lot of people dont know what hero means. mostly of them are anti-hero. even deku dont know, he just following his hearth. saving shigaraki can show the world, not just to shigaraki, not just to deku s himself, to everyone. everyone can see/learn what hero means

f) deku always win his enemies and saved victims until now.

this is exactly why last fight will be so hard cause now, the person you must saved and stopped will be same. it will be amazingly so hard. it wont be just power fight. it will be more than that. thats why it will be so epic. just defeating enemy wont be enough, thats one of the amazing points in this story. also if this happens, it will make a difference between this story and others.

g) it would be cliche so it shoulnt happen ? everything is cliche in these days. and if shigaraki gets redemption and wont die, it would be something different cause author usually kills antagonist but what about something different, this time? antagonist is stopping being antagonist and being normal person?

btw protagonist deku should live hopefully, i dont want deku s sacrificing himself. (he should live to save more people in the future.) and “dont getting redemption” doesnt fit shigaraki s character, deku s true soul and this story. so it can happen. maybe author will do something extremely extraordinary. maybe deku will still live, tenko will live and tenko will be saved and it will still be fair, amazing and happy ending? who knows what will happen, we will see.

h) not even need to talk about author is keep reminding us that how much victim shigaraki is with secret hints. so hopefully it  can happen. i am not saying that it will happen, i am saying it should happen for the sake of everything. (i think)

5- TENKO ORIGIN:

and you can say that his character isnt like this but actually it makes more sense. cause hate comes from love. so he hates everything and heroes so much cause there was a time that he loved them so much. he bileved them but they disappointed him probably.

nothing will change the fact that tenko is exist and he deserves better than this.

c) i believe tenko was like izuku who could be greatest hero but couldnt cause of some certain reasons. izuku and him are parallel who could be each other. so deku will fight with his parallel. shigaraki will face his old self. after this fight, hopefully deku win. hopefull, tenko defeat tomura. hopefully it can happen. saving your parallel. its what it supposed to be, i think. honestly, my biggest hope is deku but nothing else about shigaraki s redemption.

6-SHIGARAKI S POTENTIAL TO BEING A GOOD PERSON:

shigaraki character is evil and monster but he is a monster created by today s society and All For One so the real shigaraki isnt like that.

a) shigaraki isnt joker or thanos. he wants to destroy everything only cause of his deeper pain. “everything rubs me the wrong way.” this is true, author, afo, society, everything makes him villain. so they are forcing him. basically its not what shigaraki really wants in deep:

-he doesnt know what hero means so dont you think someone has to show him what hero really means?

-he is hopeless so someone has to give him a hope?

-he lost his faith in heroes, justice, everything. so dont you think someone has to make him believe again?

b) shigaraki isnt happy as a villain,

this isnt what he really wants. he is so dead so hopeless, so empty.

shigaraki hates everything cause they are remind of him the happiness he will never have again. so shigaraki basically hates happiness s himself. he wants to kill/destroy happiness. he wants to kill people s hearth. killing hearths, his main goal. well, killing people are second goal.

(but shigaraki s real wish is being happy, i think but he thinks he will never be happy again thats why he is doing this)

just like deku. deku wants to save people but main goal is saving hearths. opposite sides each other.

shigaraki likes nothing. he has no joy in his life. this is another proof of that his life is completey far away from happiness.

he even thrown up when he remember happy memory in chapter 227.

he felt happiness and it makes him sick? you dont need to be geinus to see how much far away he is from happiness.

yeah he cares about his comprades / people who are good to him but it doesnt mean he is happy with his life. only redemption can make him happy. destroying everything wont make him happy. and he knows that. he doesnt believe that he can be happy. this is why he is doing this. he just has no hope :’))).

only redemption can bring happiness to him even he end up living in prison, i believe he will be happier than now, also he will pay what he did. this is real justice, it supposed to be. his death wouldnt be justice or something like that. with every way, it would be tragic so i hope deku can give him a new life chance, despite shigaraki s crimes. hopefully.

c) there is still something good in him and always will. cause i believe its origin.

some people say redmeption doesnt fit shigaraki s character but i dont believe that people really understand shigaraki cause redemption cant fit more than this to a character so shigaraki can be redeemed despite his crimes. definitely it can happen.

d) everyone could be like him, EVERYONE or big posibility worse.

e) he is different from other villains. shigaraki is the only villain who really had no choice. he never was cruel like overhaul and didnt even think sacrifice people he care about him/ people who are good to him even though he hates everything.

(btw, if shigaraki gets redemption, i dont think he will abandon his comprades (as long as something unexpected thappenned or his comprades betrayed him)

so i dont think that shigaraki will be the only villain who gets redemption but to me, he is the one who definitely should get redemption. cause he was really in despair and he deserves this yeah even though everything, he did, do and will deserves this more than anyone else. yeah.

he doesnt deserve it? no he does and if he gets redemption, i am almost sure that he will regret everything he did. (and its the best punishment that can happen)

f) and remember this:

it will be burden of their hearts but if they save tenko/shigaraki, afo will completely loose and everything he did will be waste. one for all wielders will defeat afo and shigaraki with their true hero soul, if they save tenko. maybe after that, even afo saw the difference between heroes and villains. he will see. his brother will show him and finally it will be good guys s victory and it would be really epic.

so what is the problem about his redemptions?

1- he has no redemption moral right now. i mean he lost everything. lets suppose he wants to be good again but will he even get a new chance, normal life? i mean, he has no one he has nothing and his pain is still there. he is still in pain.

Summary: Five years after the events of the Ice Court, the six outcasts were in the prime of their lives. They had everything they had fought and bled for: money, power, promise, home. But this holiday season, a surprisingly altruistic event has them all under the same roof, and they all may have been a little older and a little wiser, but they were still those teenagers who had done the impossible and had almost died countless of times. And when the idea of a holiday gift exchange comes up the true test of their friendship and their growth is thrown into the rink.

Wylan wasn’t sure how he could have possibly ended up here. Whether or not it was by Ghezen’s Hand or from Inej’s saints, but he was positive that it had to be some sort of cosmic intervention that had led him sitting in front of his fireplace, holding his husband’s hand, and surrounded by thieves and an ex-convict.

“That was quite the celebration, Wylan.” Inej said from her place by the window. “I think Kerch might do some good having an orphanage like that in its streets.”

“Thank you, Inej.” Wylan smiled at her. “Getting it past the Council was tough enough, but I’m just happy to give some of those kids a home.”

Jesper snorted beside him, “Yeah, now there actually might be space at The Slat.”

“How did you get those fat birds to donate to your cause anyhow?” Nina brought up. She was tucked firmly under Matthias’s arm and looked positively comfortable.

Wylan felt a slight blush at the measures he had taken to ensure the Council’s support of such an extravagant building to house the countless of orphans roaming the streets, and he tried his best not to look at Kaz as he said, “Let’s just say the right leverage was applied.”

“Oh saints,” Nina rolled her eyes then turned a lazy finger towards Kaz, “You need to stop corrupting his sweet mind.”

Kaz’s lips twitched, “Van Eck doesn’t need me to corrupt his brain. That’s why he keeps Fahey around.”

“Hey,” Jesper protested, “That’s Mr. Van Eck to you, Brekker.”

Wylan grinned and settled to drink his tea as the argument continued on. He wasn’t particularly proud of asking Ketterdam’s most notorious villain to help to threaten the Kerch Council to make this orphanage happen, but he didn’t regret it either. He would have paid for the construction of the building himself, but the land that he was eyeing for the site was owned by the city. When Wylan had brought up his request, one of his father’s oldest friends (who had held a grudge against Wylan ever since his father received his life sentence in jail) suggested that the land would be best used for other means. 

And before he knew it, Wylan’s plans of the orphanage were starting to fall apart before they had even begun. It wasn’t just the orphanage that had been upsetting him. It was how easily the Council had looked over his request and how the idea of building an estate for the very act of charity was less worthy. Echoes of his father’s voice had resounded in his head, and this startlingly new conviction settled in his chest and one thing led to another and he had found himself sitting awkwardly in front of Kaz Brekker at The Slat stumbling through the situation.

“I’m willing to pay you half of the exported sugar I have coming in this month, if you can help get this off the ground.”

Kaz hadn’t moved throughout the entire exchange. He could have been a statue as Wylan talked and his dark eyes stayed steadily on him. Even when he had finished talking he remained still.

“Does Jesper know you’re here?”

“He does, and he highly discouraged me from coming. Something about getting into bed with a demon.” Wylan had explained.

“At least being married to you finally wised him up,” Kaz murmured before he looked past Wylan and got a familiar, distant expression on his face. “That sugar shipment, it’s coming from Zemini, isn’t it?” He had finally said.

Wylan didn’t bother asking how he knew that, “Yes.”

“The ship it’s on has one of the largest cargo holds in your fleet.” He said again. Wylan nodded. “Hmm...I’ll help if I can take that ship off of your hands for the rest of the year.”

“What are you going to do with it?” Wylan asked raising his eyebrow.

“I have certain business ventures across the sea, that require speed and space.”

“Right.”

“And just so we’re clear, Wylan. You’re asking me to convince certain members of the merchant council to approve your plans for this orphanage? Through any means necessary?”

“Yes.” Wylan cleared his throat, “It’s a good plan and this city could deal with at least some kindness. Even if it comes through the Bastard of the Barrel himself.”

Kaz’s sharp smile caught Wylan off guard.

 “Then the deals the deal, merchling.” He held out his gloved hand and Wylan shook it firmly. “Wait a couple weeks and suggest the plan again. You’ll probably be able to start construction soon after that.”

And true to his word, Wylan went back to the council and no sooner had he finished did they approve the plans and even called it Ghezen’s work that an orphanage should be built to educate those who had nothing. Jesper had scoffed at the reasoning, but was just as excited as his husband when Wylan drew up blue prints, started to hire crew members, and then ultimately its grand opening.

Jesper had been by Wylan’s side through it all. He helped with some of the ground work, supervised when Wylan was away taking care of his mother, and calmed him when the ever-present self-doubt started to creep back in his mind. After the Ice Court job, it had seemed almost like a dream for someone like Jesper to stick around to Wylan, but there he was. Then his tall, Zemeni, thrill-addict boyfriend had really thrown him for an absolute loop when they had gone out to dinner on their backyard and he had gone down on one knee. It was all impossible, but then Wylan said yes and the impossible became possible. And with this orphanage now open, even that had become possible.

For that reason, he supposed it wasn’t that impossible to have all of the people that had survived the most dangerous heist ever to be conceived by anyone to be sitting around the fire ready to open presents.

“Okay,” Nina announced finally, “Me first. So as tradition dictates. Whoever picked first has to give the present first. If I remember correctly, Matthias picked a name. Okay, my dear Fjerdan, who’d you have?”

“Uh,” Matthias said hesitantly. He pulled out a long, rectangular box from behind him and kept his eyes on the present. “I-uh-I didn’t know what else to get you, um, Inej.” The girl in question raised her eyebrows in surprise and stood up from the window, “But, I hope you find it suitable.”

Inej walked over and opened the box slowly. Wylan watched as Inej smiled gratefully as she pulled out a beautiful double-edged knife with a white marble handle.

“It’s of Fjerdan make,” Matthias explained his face flushing, “The inscription is from-uh- Fjerdan saint and uh-”

“Thank you,” Inej interrupted and further surprised the bulky man with a hug.

Matthias smiled in relief and returned the gesture.

“Splendid, Jesper you’re next.” Nina said.

“Ah, finally,” Jesper grinned widely as he separated his hand from Wylan’s. He dug around in his pants pocket and produced two small boxes. Wylan recognized the smile that was lighting up his face and he felt his insides swirl at whatever his husband had decided to gift their friend.

“Now, dearest Nina, since you only deserve the best. I hope these will suffice.” He tossed both boxes at her and she caught them deftly, “Though, I think one of those might actually be for Helvar.”

Curious, Nina opened the first box and positively giggled as she held up a scrap of black lace lined with a blood red border. If Matthias’s face was red before, it was practically boiling now. Even Wylan felt a slight blush creep around his neck.

“Ah, Jes, you shouldn’t have.” She held out the undergarments out for everyone to see and slyly glanced at her Fjerdan, “Think of all the things we could do with this, sweet.”

Matthias looked away fast and everyone laughed at his reaction.

Still giggling Nina unwrapped Jesper’s second present and the smile that settled on her face was far more genuine and real than Wylan had ever seen on her. “Jesper Llewelyn, how did you get this?”

Nina held up a thin chain up from the box and revealed a beautiful sun charm. It glinted against the fire light warmly, and had a clear jewel in the middle. 

Jesper shrugged, “I was in Little Ravka in the other day, and I happened to befriend a very talented Fabrikator. He insists it’s the purest form of gold out there.”

“Thank you,” Nina said.

“You’re welcome,” Jesper smiled back.

Wylan couldn’t help but reach back for his hand. It was so rare to see him this comfortable with anyone else or with any other group of people. He was never comfortable with any of the men that Wylan did business with and all of Jesper’s other friends lived far too close to the gambling halls. So to see him so happy made Wylan’s heart flutter in his chest.

The night went on and with each unwrapping came a surprised shock of actually receiving a perfect gift. Inej gave Jesper finely crafted holsters for his guns. Nina gave Wylan a Grisha made flute, that Jesper insisted he played for everyone. He obliged and marveled at the artistry of the instrument and the clear and pure notes that emanated from it. Then came for Kaz to give his gift and Wylan couldn’t deny the sudden shift of mood as they all waited for Kaz to come back from wherever he went to fetch his gift.

“Alright, Helvar,” Kaz reentered the room with a hefty box under his arm, “This was hell to try to get, but try not to kill it.”

He all but shoved the box at Matthias’s lap and went back to his seat by the fire. The other boy looked curiously at the plain box curiously.

Matthias’s furrowed brow quickly rose up as whatever in the box made a loud bark. Nina peered in and her mouth dropped in an almost comical O shape.

“How-what-I-” Matthias stammered as he lifted a gray and white pup out of the container.

Wylan gaped at the small creature that was now sniffing at Matthias curiously and even dared to nibble at the giant’s thumb. It let out a small whimper before Nina instinctively stroked it behind its ears. 

“He is adorable! Look at him!” She squealed.

Kaz shrugged, “I did a favor for a Fjerdan a while back, and I had a pack delivered to me for security reasons. As it happens, I had a litter of these runts running around and I kept a couple before getting rid of the rest.”

“By ‘getting rid’ do you mean a quick trip down the canal?” Jesper said hesitantly.

“Ugh,” Nina shivered, not taking her eyes off the dog, “Please don’t answer that, Brekker, I don’t want to hear the truth or the potential lie.”

Kaz’s lip twitched, but he stayed silent.

Matthias’s bewildered blue gaze met Kaz for a moment before he stammered out a quick, “Thank you, demji.”

A bemused expression settled in Kaz’s eyes before he saluted him in acknowledgement. 

The puppy was yawning and Wylan could have laughed at the sight of such a small thing nestled in Matthias’s large hand. And if Wylan was completely honest with himself, he could have laughed at the fact that Kaz had even thought of being so considerate. That he went out of his way to think of something Matthias would actually want-- that his gift was so small, fluffy, and....wholesome. 

“What are you going to name him?” Wylan asked finally.

Matthais looked down at the animal and nuzzled his face with its snout, “I’m going to name him Trassel....after a good friend of mine.”

Nina peered into the blue and black eyes of the puppy, and cooed to it, “Hi, Trassel. Welcome to the family.”

The dog barked cheerfully at that and settled to rubbing his face against Matthias’s hand.

After a few moments all eyes turned towards Wylan who had yet to give his present.

“Ah, right,” He said, suddenly feeling nervous. He got up from his seat and went behind the curtain to retrieve the long rectangular box. His stomach fluttered with anxiety as he made his way back to the circle of his friends. It wasn’t so much the giving of the present, but knowing what the recipient might do with the gift gave him a slight pause. But as he neared Kaz, he shrugged away the discomfort. 

“Here you go, Kaz, hopefully it’ll serve as a good backup.” 

Kaz took the box hesitantly, and ripped open the box. Wylan held his breath as he delicately lifted a cane. The handle was shaped like a crow about to take flight, and its dark-wood finely engraved with jagged lines, and its tip tapered into a fine point. 

“It’s-” Wylan started to explain in the midst of Kaz’s silence, “It’s Grisha made so it shouldn’t break when there’s a substantial amount of force applied. And- if you twist the handle-”

Before Wylan finished the thought, Kaz twisted the handle and the pointed end of the cane opened up and the neutral expression Kaz had kept on his face disappeared. He smiled as he examined the turned cane and the new opening of the cane.

“You made me a gun.” There was a slight hint of a laugh in his voice. 

“Wylan, my dear,” Jesper said looking amused and concerned all at once, “Did you just give the most deadly man in the barrel a weapon that is not only as strong as his current cane, but also a gun?”

He shrugged and tried to fight the smugness working its way in his chest at Kaz’s reaction to his gift. He had his own reservations when he had come up with the plans as soon as he knew who he had gotten for this secret gift exchange. Wylan had debated about it for a full day before he had drawn up the plans and then set up a meeting with Ketterdam’s few Fabrikators. There were always going to be monsters in Ketterdam, those with longer and sharper teeth, and he supposed it wouldn’t hurt having one of those monsters as an ally and providing him with one more tooth.

“Well, Wylan,” Kaz’s grin was the widest he’s ever seen on him, “I will say, you never cease to surprise me.”

He twisted the handle restoring the cane to its proper form. 

At this Wylan did smile at Kaz. That was the closest thing to a compliment he’s given him in recent years and even if he had stopped working with the Dregs, there was still a small part of Wylan that couldn’t forget about his past. That feeling of doing a job well done or even earning a place in Kaz’s crew. 

And as the night continued on, with people playing with their presents in anyway they could, whether that be taking turns holding Trassel or making Wylan play or Nina offering to teach them some Ravkan games, Wylan couldn’t help but marvel at the warmth and radiating from the people around him. And when he noticed that Kaz had managed to slip away quietly, he decided that they needed this-- all of them. 

The crew who broke into the Ice Court, brought down a member of the Merchant Council, conned multiple countries, and fabricated their own plague, needed a chance to feel like the world wasn’t always escaping the past or fighting for their future. That for once they could sit around a fire with warm drinks in their bellies and live in the present.

I agree w all of ur tags tbh.... like the first time i was really disappointed not only at him but the starlights defending him but after a (long) while i kind of just thought maybe i shouldnt hold a grudge and accept that hes flawed and move on but he really just smashed every last piece of respect and affection i ever had for him :/ i know hakyeon has never done a problematic thing but him considering hb his best friend and writing a song about him :/ idk what to think tbh

the thing with hakyeon… he just has such a big heart. i dont doubt that he looks at hongbin and is really disappointed. i just /: i wish?? it wasnt like this but ig we gotta deal with it until either he changes or it just stops showing up, lol. but you wont see me giving hb love and attention like everyone else, whoops.

This is more effort than it’s worth.

Chasing a body double halfway across the city is not how he’d prefer to be spending his day, but as tiring as it was, he didn’t really want to die, you know? He very much enjoyed living as lazily as possible, not to mention he’d never hear the end of it from the others....

And, well...there’s some people he just can’t leave behind, so slacking is unfortunately not an option.

( it never seems like it’s an option in the first place, must to his chagrin )

Their lives may be different, as well as their histories, their blood, but they are both Akashi Kuniyuki at their core. The dot moves fast as he does, like some sort of sick chase scene from one of those weird ‘cartoons’ that he sees on the TVs in store windows as he goes about his day. The blinking dot is almost seared into his retinas as he darts about the street, avoiding confused bystanders and other scuffles along the way, the unpleasant thought of a slow-acting poison seeping through his veins the longer he waits propelling him forward.

There’s a thin sheen of sweat covering his skin by the time it finally starts to slow down; and he should hope so, considering he’s had a wild goose chase all the way throughout this entire damn place. Around and around they had gone, he’s surprised the other hadn’t darted into one of the newfound areas that he’s only managed to hear about in passing. Through one ward, then two and three, a hand swipes across his forehead and brushes away sweat-soaked strands as he brings up his phone to check to see if his progress has slowed any since the last time he checked.

He’s stopped.

At the edge of Cotes, skirting Golden, the blinking dot sits unmoving, as if taunting him. He doubts someone like himself would think of something truly unpleasant, but despite what he claims, Akashi has seen enough battlefields to know he shouldn’t let his guard down as he pockets the device and breaks into another unrelenting sprint. With luck, knowing himself, that dot won’t be moving for at least a while. And a while is just what he needs.

Man, though...his legs are really gonna hate him for this after this, but what can you do?

The slight burn has reached his lungs by the time he steps foot on the sand. The slight give beneath his feet is a welcome sensation compared to concrete and asphalt, and bright eyes glint in the slight glow on the moon as he slowly makes his way forward. He’s searching, seeking, for the one person he could never mistake for another. The face he sees whenever he passes a storefront, whenever he looks in the mirror in the morning.

Akashi Kuniyuki finds himself sprawled out on the beach, the waves gently lapping at his feet and a tired gaze staring up at the stars. 

From beyond the coast, a slight glow stirs beneath the waves.

“Aaaah...you caught me, huh. Guess that’s that.” 

It’s odd, he’ll admit. Hearing your own voice address you? Yeesh. Still, the other body doesn’t move, closing his eyes as Akashi hones in on the matching sheen of sweat that seems to coat his face ( is it from the running? or is it from the disease that ravages him from the inside out, slowly corroding his brain, robbing him of reasoning? ), and takes a moment to consider his options.

He sits. Right beside the splayed out body double, who’s loose t-shirt seems too cold for the chilly night air that seems to seep through the skin and chill the bones.

There’s silence for a moment, the only sound being the water and the slightest noises of the cityscape. He’s not really a negotiator, to be honest, but at least this guy seems to be agreeable. A hand gently scratches at dark wavy locks, the only action he allows himself before heaving a sigh.

“Man~, when I talked about wanting a vacation, I can’t say this was what I had in mind....”

“...You, too? Hm, seems we both got it hard.”

“You could say that again.” This would almost be relaxing, if one of two Akashi Kuniyukis wasn’t a ticking time bomb that will bring them both down in only a matter of time.

“...Listen, there’s no hard feelings here, yeah? It’s not like I’ve got anything against you, but — “

“ — But you’ve got something you want to protect too, right.”

He wasn’t anticipating being cut off, and it draws his gaze back to the other’s prone form. One hand has pressed against his head, the look in mirrored green eyes...tense. The memories that intermingle with his own tell him what it is, and with an exasperated sigh Akashi returns to staring out over the water.

“You know, they seem like good kids.”

They are good kids. They’re great kids. They’re his kids, and no matter how many times they fling him around and scold him for his laziness, he wouldn’t trade them for anything else in the world. He doesn’t let things get to him usually, but after so long, he’s actually started to miss the childish pouts and complaining that would occur whenever he’d ruffle their hair, or state how he didn’t feel like doing anything.

Hotarumaru, Aizen — they waited so long. Amidst the pushing and shoving and small legs kicking him in the middle of the night, they were content together. And he can see it’s the same with this mirror image. His memories are hazy, blurred at the edges, just like the other’s, but despite the downs there’s the ups as well. No matter how much he’d complain about having to do all the work to support his brother, he still cared about him. Why else would he go through the effort in the first place?

Geez...now he’s getting sentimental. 

His phone feels heavy in his grip, like a weighted stone, or one of the baubles Aizen tends to slip into his pockets before he leaves on a sortie. The night is young, but their time is limited — they both know it. Akashi pretends not to notice as he fiddles with the device for a second, only pausing once a voice pierces the silence.

“I’m not gonna hold a grudge or anything, if that’s what you’re wondering. I’m more than willing to get out of here and relax some more.”

“That so? Glad to hear it. Can’t say I’m really interested in having any bad blood with myself, if that makes sense.”

The brightness of the app splashes across his face and casts shadows, a sight that knits the normal Akashi’s eyes together as he tries to push away the sudden apprehension. It’s fine, he’s not thinking straight. Can’t blame the guy, even if he is him, for being nervous. 

“...Sorry to ask, but....can you do me a favor?”

“Mmm?” The phone halts mid-air, and a thumb hovers over the button as the other sits up straight to stare into his eyes with a sharpness that rivals his own. It doesn’t take long for it to click, for the chipped remnants of a history that isn’t his own to give him a hint. The familiar blond face comes to mind, and slots the answer in place like the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle. There’s a heave of the chest, and with a shrug of the shoulders, the tachi clicks his tongue.

“Well...can’t be helped, can’t be helped. Guess if it’s a personal request, there’s nothing to do about it. Right, consider it done...then I’ll luckily get to sleep for a week.”

The silence takes over again, but that’s not to say he doesn’t get an answer. In the last moments before a bright flash of light fills his vision, he catches a glimpse of a small smile. 

Wherever he’s going, the sword can only hope it’s a better place than this.

And then he’s alone, a lone soul with only the moon for company.

Akashi releases the breath he didn’t know he was holding, flopping backwards with his phone landing idly in the sand beside his fingers. How funny, he looks exactly like how the other had when he’d first stepped foot onto the shore. Probably feels just as tired, too.

Really, he came such a long way. So, even if it’s in a place like this, it’s fine. He worked hard, and even if the Saniwa weren’t here to tell him so, he knows he deserves a reward for his efforts.

With one last final thought to a life that wasn’t his, he lets his eyes close.

Just for a while.
