my secret of gaining all of my confidence to be “cringe” is that i accepted i don’t want to jeopardize my harmless happiness to fit into societal norms. i’m already an intersex transfem aroace person who is in a relationship and uses neopronouns, society will never try to accept me as i am as soon as things get a little difficult.

all i’m doing while doing things like fursuiting or drawing furry art or making weird positivity posts is really accepting the fact these are the things that make me feel happy and that’s okay. i am not harming anyone, i am simply being another layer of authentically myself in a society that isn’t generally built for that level of self expression.

but, i will always support anyone who wishes to bloom into their authentic self against the world. detach yourself from self-hating ideals, take a step away from the social constructs you’ve become accustomed to seeing, and embrace the fact that you can live in so many different ways than the norm would have you believe.

you’re not a bad person for being what other people deem as “cringe” material. if anything, you’re someone who would make others feel safe who may be wishing to accept that part of themselves. you will find others to befriend.

Okay it’s been a week since I watched the series finale of Clone Wars. And like, of all the deaths I have seen in Star Wars, I don’t any of them have disturbed me as much as Jesse’s. Like yeah, there was Fives and Tech (that one is arguable), and there was Nemik from Andor, but there was just something about Jesse the ARC Trooper in his final moments.

And I know the obvious answer is the inhibitor chip, there’s no way to talk around it because it’s the reason he died along with so many clones. But it was just, I dunno, the way he behaved when it was activated. The way that, even when the entire venator was going down and there were no chance of surviving unless on an escape pod or shuttle, he was just desperately (and I say that because that is what it felt like to me) trying to get to Rex and Ahsoka to execute them. Because he believed that was more important then the survival of his men and himself.

I believe that Jesse without the chip would have kriffed the order and made sure as much as his brothers made it off the venator as possible, even if it was evident that Rex and Ahsoka were traitors.

Look, I know that’s the whole point of the chips. That they took away everything that made the clones who they were, and made them… meat droids (ugh I seriously dislike that label). Blindly follow orders, even at the cost of the self.
