One of the many things that frustrates me about the Starlo x Dalv ship is the degree to which it overshadows the other dynamics between dalv and the main group of monsters, despite both of them being ten times more interesting.

Like, Martlet and Dalv becoming friends, living in Snowdin together? Their little handshake when they meet? Dalv and Ceroba having a connection via Kanako, with Ceroba mirroring her daughter’s gesture of bringing him corn during the pacifist credits? Being the one to invite him to clovers memorial? I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen fanworks explore either of these dynamics meanwhile crn yaoi is so inescapable I had to block the tag 🚬

I genuinely think Philomena Cunk interview questions are academically valuable in that 1. They force experts to consider ridiculous scenarios they never would have thought of having to deal with and 2. They test the ability of academics to explain their fields to laypeople and challenge the idea that “everybody knows xyz.” I think part of all higher level degree programs should involve having to get interviewed by Philomena Cunk
