my room at this hotel is right above the pool, and they play music in the pool area 24/7. the music is just loud enough that i can hear little whimpers of it in my room. if i'm on the evening news this is why.

It was a stupid fight as always, the last few weeks they had been fighting as if they were a divorced couple that had ended up on the worst possible terms.
And she hated it, she hated fighting with him because it wasn't easy living with a person who seemed to hate you one day and be his favorite person the next, but here she was, in their third fight of the week, feeling her face burn with a mixture of anger and sadness.
"I already told you no!" she yelled desperately.
She had completely forgotten the initial fight, now they were simply arguing about whatever came to their mind, as if they were both bringing out those misunderstandings that they had kept inside for weeks.
But this time something was different, there was something different in the conclusion that Simon had reached in those moments.
"It seems disrespectful to me and my sleeping hours that you arrive at whatever time you want." She rolled her eyes and looked away, but she could feel Simon's eyes on her. "You come late at night and it wakes me up."
"Does that wake you up? You sleep like a bear." she said annoyed.
And (Y/N) could lie about many things, but right now she was right, the only reason Simon heard her every night was because he just wouldn't close his eyes until she walked through the apartment door, no matter how long ago he had gotten into bed, he just didn't.
Simon felt the anger vibrate in his body, he had looked for every possible way to put that fight aside, but he simply ended up shouting whatever stupidity made the fight continue and it was his fault, it was his fault for not measuring his words and it was his fault for not closing his mouth and asking for forgiveness.
He wasn't even a violent person, he considered himself quite calm and, at some point, patient, but the last few weeks his emotions had been all over the place and he felt overwhelmed.
(Y/N) was not responsible for his anger. It was true, she could date any boy who crossed in front of her and that shouldn't be Simon's problem. He had never cared about it, but something had changed in the last few months and it could all be resume in one damn word: jealousy.
"That's not the point!" He sighed, it was becoming difficult for him to hide his anger, his tone of voice was not cooperative at all.
"You're an idiot." She muttered. The tone of her voice wasn't annoying, there was a small hint of frustration, but no more than that.
And (Y/N) didn't know what it was like to be angry with her roommate. Simon was a pain in the ass sometimes, but most of the time they both knew how to handle things. They had a good friendship, but Simon's attitude was starting to cause problems.
They were both silent for a few seconds, she looked away and waited to hear something from him, but she knew him, he wasn't going to take the first step or that's what she thought, because Simon always planned to take the first step if it came to someone who he cared.
"I'm sorry" his voice was soft when he spoke again. The girl raised her face and stared at him, she waited for her to give him some more information about his apology. "I'm sorry, I know I've been an idiot and it's not your fault."
"I'm sorry too." She nodded. "I know it's not nice to be so late."
Simon felt guilty and quickly shook his head, it wasn't her fault that he didn't know how to control his emotions. He had thought about it more than once, he tried to find a way to explain his behavior without telling the truth, but it was impossible, everything sounded like a cheap excuse, which in reality, it was.
"I'm jealous." He finally admitted and that felt like the worst hit to the chest, especially when he heard the giggle coming from the girl.
Simon looked at her confused, his brow furrowed at her laughter, which stopped immediately as soon as she saw the seriousness on his face.
"Are you serious?" He nodded and she suddenly felt guilty for laughing. For a second she thought it was one of those things Simon always said to lighten the mood. "I… Why?"
He sighed, what was he supposed to say to her? That for some reason, after drinking a couple of beers he realized that he had feelings for her? That was the only truth, but she was afraid. He looked like a teenager who didn't know how to ask a girl out on a date. He wasn't a teenager, he was an adult… who didn't know how to ask a girl out on a date.
"Listen, we've lived together for a long time." Simon took a couple of steps towards her, he could almost swear she had tensed up. "And I think… I have feelings for you."
(Y/N) pursed her lips and tried her hardest not to yell in his face, not because she was angry, but this had taken her by surprise and she simply didn't know how to respond.
"When you say something, you mean like when the milk runs out and I'm not going to buy more?" Simon giggled and shook his head, his little laughs in the middle of a conversation were one of her favorite things when she was talking to him.
"I think you're pretty and we'd be a great couple."
"Of course not." She shook her head although she couldn't stop that smile that escaped her lips. She was starting to feel nervous because she didn't know how to handle that situation. "Don't you think living together will ruin us?"
"Of course not." Simon reduced the distance even more, making her feel even more nervous, however, she was still there, in front of him, completely motionless, without showing her true feelings towards him. "I know how messy you are in the mornings, but when you come back at night it bothers you to see the mess." She smiled, it was totally true. "I also know what you eat daily, but on the weekends you always change your diet, so I could take you anything for dinner and you won't say no."
"Are you going to invite me to dinner?"
"Yes, and you will accept."
She narrowed her eyes. She hated that know-it-all attitude…actually, she liked it. She had always made fun of girls who had intense reactions to that kind of attitude and now, in those moments, she completely felt like one of those.
Her mother had told her, she knew Simon, she liked him, and she had mentioned that his feelings for her were too obvious. However, (Y/N) had only laughed at that and completely denied it because she always thought it was impossible for her roommate to have feelings for her.
But now she was here, with him in front of her, after confessed his feelings in the most direct way possible, something she appreciated, even if she hadn't said it out loud.
"I think… maybe I'll accept." She nodded. She was beginning to feel the nerves prickling at the tip of her stomach. She had never felt so nervous around Simon, maybe the first time she saw him shirtless, but that had been an accident.
Simon thought about it for a few seconds, but finally wrapped one of his arms around her hip. He didn't hold her too close to him, he held back, he wanted her to feel safe with him, but (Y/N) already felt too safe with him. She trust him enough after living together for so many years.
In her head, just for a second, she thought he might be going too fast, but he wasn't a stranger. If they hadn't fought so much in the past few days, she would even dare to call him one of her best friends.
Simon and (Y/N) had gotten used to having dinner together most nights, but that night was different, everything felt different, neither of them were at the other end of the couch, watching the television in silence.
No, Simon had discovered that he didn't care at all about personal space when he practically found himself with the girl on top of him, the TV didn't seem to matter right now, their conversation seemed much more interesting than even dinner.
"What about that time you said the guy I was dating seemed married in secret with three kids?" She put it on a list the boys she had dated in the past and about whom Simon always seemed to have something to say.
"Well, that wasn't jealousy, he did seem married with three children." He wrinkled his nose remembering that boy who was not at all attractive in his opinion. "Did you go on a date with him again?"
"Of course not. If my roommate, who is also my friend, says he seems married with three children, he is probably married with three children."
Simon laughed. He had never purposely ruined her dates, for many months he had kept his distance, watching the girl he loved date someone else, however, there were certain comments that had come out of his mouth without thinking and probably had more impact on the girl's decision than he thought.
"I'm not just your friend and roommate anymore, right?"
She narrowed her eyes. She thought about making a joke and maybe playing a little after all the fights he had put her through, but Simon wasn't someone who expressed himself as easily as he did that day, so she wasn't going to ruin it.
"No, you certainly aren't." She murmured.
They were both silent for several seconds, he was attractive, too much. She had never denied or hidden it, she had simply tried not to see him that way, she liked living with him, changing the way she see him would be a big problem for their coexistence.
Simon leaned towards her and she could feel his breath brush against her lips, making her more nervous than she already was. She gritted her teeth and forced herself to keep his gaze. Under other circumstances, she would have already pulled away, but she wasn't going to be the first to take a step back.
"I want to kiss you."
"Why do you announce it?" Her brow furrowed slightly. Any other boy wouldn't even have taken as much time as he was doing right now.
"Because I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."
(Y/N) felt like she stopped breathing for a second, she nodded slowly, silently giving him permission. For a second she hated him, because how could she not be attracted to this man who not only knew her well, but made any other man look like nothing next to him?
When he finally pressed his lips against hers, her breathing actually hitched for several seconds. Simon was gentle, setting a slow pace and for a second she felt like she had never kissed anyone in her life and was completely inexperienced.
His arms slid around her waist slowly, pulling her towards him. For the first time, she felt Simon's arms completely surrounding her.
She felt a little disappointed when he pulled away from her, breaking the kiss, and her lips itched for more, but she noticed that for the first time, a boy had been able to make her blush and feel completely nervous.
Her mother was right when she said she was going to end up with the boy she shared her apartment with.

hi!! i had a couple of ideas for melissa bots if you're still taking those. one is reader reaching out to melissa for comfort after a long day at work, and the other is smoking with melissa for the first time. i hope you're doing well!!
Thank you so much for the requests! I've sat at my laptop more times than I can count in the last 2 weeks and there isn't a single word to show for it because my brain is a barren wasteland for ideas, so much appreciated. These were great to write, but let me know if you have any feedback or want any changes!
1.) Comfort for a long day:
Summary: It's been a long day, maybe Melissa can help.
Melissa Schemmenti - ✧˖° Long days
Greeting: Maybe you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, but there was an unexplainable weariness in your bones that seemed to weigh you down, only increasing with time. It’s the third Tuesday of the month, so you’re stuck in the library for a staff meeting. Usually, you would’ve taken a seat next to Melissa, preferring to be close to her, but there was just something about today that made everything feel too much. Your main priority was getting this meeting over with and heading home. Taking a seat at the table closest to the exit, you zone out, missing the confused look she sends your way when she notices you sitting at the back of the room.
It’s around 5 when the staff is dismissed. You’re packing up your things in your classroom when you catch a glimpse of red out of the corner of your eye. You look up to see Melissa leaning against your doorframe with her arms crossed over her chest. You look back down at your bag, continuing to shove your notebook in as you speak up.
“Hey.”
“Hey.” She replies, walking further into your room. Her eyes flicker from your bag to your face, eyeing it closely. “You left quick. Didn’t even notice ya.” Her tone is light, at least that’s how it seems. But there’s something off, and she can’t quite figure out what it is yet, so she proceeds with caution.
“Yeah.” You don’t give her much of a response, still not looking at her. She curses inwardly as the silence hangs in the air. She sighs before speaking again.
“Are you okay?”
The softness in her voice cuts through the fog in your brain. Finally meeting her eyes, you see the concern pooling in her irises. Your shoulders sag, and you let out a tired sigh.
“Yeah, yeah. Just… long day.” You murmur, fighting back the lump in your throat. Your vision goes blurry for a moment, but you quickly blink it away.
Melissa doesn’t miss the tears, and she’s by your side in an instant. You don’t fight it when she pulls you into a hug, holding on tightly as you hide your face against her shoulder.
“Hey, hey, shh, it’s alright.”
END
Tumblr media
2.) First time smoking with Melissa:
Summary: Your first time smoking with Melissa.
Melissa Schemmenti - ✧˖° Smoking
Greeting: You and a few other Abbott Elementary staff were out at a bar, winding down and celebrating the upcoming weekend. You’d been there for a couple of hours when the crowd started to reach its peak. Feeling the need for a break, you stepped outside for some fresh air, pulling a cigarette from your pack and placing it between your lips. As you patted your pockets, you let out a frustrated groan—your lighter was still in your car. With a sigh, you turned to head back inside to grab your keys. Just as you rounded the corner, you bumped into someone.
“Fu—sorry. Melissa? Hey. What are you doing out here?”
“Nothing.” Her tone came out slightly defensive, and you couldn’t quite pin down why. “What’re you doing? Didn’t you just leave? Why’re you coming back?”
A small smile of amusement played on your lips at her rapid questions.
“Forgot my lighter, you said, pointing to the cigarette between your lips.
“Oh.”
“You didn’t answer my question. Are you leaving already?”
“No.”
“Then...?”
“None of your business.”
That made you let out a small laugh.
“Alright then. You wouldn’t happen to have a lighter on you, would you?”
She mimicked the same patting motion you’d done a few moments ago before pulling out a red lighter and holding up the flame in front of your face.
“Melissa Schemmenti, you are my saviour,” you said, leaning in to light your cigarette.
She rolled her eyes as she pocketed the lighter. You blew the smoke away from her before offering her the cigarette. She eyed it for a moment before accepting it.
You kept your eyes on her face as her lips wrapped around the cigarette. You’d never seen Melissa smoke before, but the practiced ease with which she inhaled and exhaled the smoke told you it was a common enough occurrence for her.
She noticed you staring, and heat rose to your face at being caught. You coughed slightly, tearing your eyes away from her. She smirked around the cigarette.
“See something you like?” she teased.
END
As always, feel free to leave any feed back or requests.

Summer's Lasting Song
Word Count: 822
Warnings: None
Terry Mcginnis x Fem!Reader ︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Terry and Y/N had been working as camp counselors for the past two summers, and their bond had grown stronger with each passing season. They were the dynamic duo of Camp Lakeside, known for their wit, humor, and their uncanny ability to make even the most challenging activities fun. However, as the third summer approached, they both felt a subtle shift in their relationship. …
The days passed in a blur of activities and laughter. As the end of summer approached, Terry couldn't help but let his guard down a little.
"Terry, race you to the other side of the lake?" Y/N challenged as they watched the campers go canoeing.
Terry grinned, the competitive spark in his eyes. "You're on!"
They jumped into separate canoes, racing across the lake with playful taunts and splashes of water. When they reached the other side, their laughter was infectious.
"I win!" Terry declared.
Y/N rolled her eyes with mock frustration. "You always win."
Their laughter echoed through the summer air, a moment of pure joy.
"Terry, what if we make today the best day of camp ever?" Y/N suggested, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Terry grinned, always up for a new adventure. "I'm in. What's the plan?"
Y/N leaned in closer, her voice a conspiratorial whisper. "First, we have a massive water balloon fight with the campers."
Terry's eyes lit up with excitement. "Oh, they're not going to know what hit them."
So, they spent the morning filling water balloons and then unleashed them on the unsuspecting campers. The joyful screams and laughter that followed created a memory neither of them would ever forget.
After lunch, they decided to take the campers on a nature hike. Terry and Y/N led the way, pointing out interesting plants and wildlife along the trail. The children listened in rapt attention as the two of them shared their knowledge.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, they gathered around the campfire once more. This time, Y/N took out her guitar, and Terry began telling ghost stories that had the kids both terrified and excited.
Finally, as the day came to a close, they decided to organize a camp-wide talent show. Terry played the harmonica, showcasing a hidden talent, while Y/N sang and strummed her guitar. The campers took the stage, too, displaying their own talents.
The night was filled with laughter, music, and shared moments. It was a day they would cherish as the best day of camp ever.
"Hey, Terry, do you remember our first summer here?" Y/N asked, her gaze fixed on the campfire in front of them.
Terry chuckled. "How could I forget? I thought I was the coolest camp counselor ever."
Y/N smirked. "You were the goofiest, but I wouldn't have had it any other way."
They both laughed, their shoulders brushing against each other. The warmth of the campfire seemed to seep into their conversation.
"You know, Terry, I think we make a great team," Y/N said, her voice soft.
Terry turned to look at her, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Yeah, we do. The best team."
As the crackling of the campfire filled the air, they shared a comfortable silence. No more words were needed to express the bond they had forged over the summers.
One night, as they lay side by side on a blanket under the stars, Y/N spoke up. "Terry, do you ever wonder what's going to happen after this summer?"
Terry sighed, a mix of nostalgia and uncertainty in his voice. "I've been thinking about it, Y/N. I don't want things to change too much."
Y/N turned her head to meet his gaze, their eyes locking in the moonlight. "Me neither."
The unspoken emotions hung in the air, heavy with the unacknowledged feelings that had been growing between them. Terry's heart raced as he realized that he couldn't let this moment slip away.
With a gentle but firm hand, he reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind Y/N's ear. "You know, there's one thing I don't want to change," he whispered.
Y/N's breath caught as she looked into his eyes, searching for the words that had remained unsaid for far too long.
Terry leaned in, his lips meeting hers in a soft, tender kiss. It was a kiss that spoke of summers spent together, of shared laughter and secret glances. It was a promise of the future, of the adventures yet to come.
As they pulled away, their foreheads touching, Terry whispered, "I love you, Y/N."
Y/N's eyes glistened with unshed tears as she smiled, her heart overflowing with emotions. "I love you too, Terry."
In that moment, under the starlit sky and by the crackling campfire, they knew that their summer romance was just the beginning of a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and love.

So. Side Order, huh?
I've been chewing on my thoughts over this for a good few days now. Want to spit them out somewhere. Vague-ish spoilers ahead.
Tumblr media
I want to preface this with saying that I love Splatoon, I've been playing it since 1, really dropped off near the end of 2. Nintendo made Octo Expansion for me, they released it on my birthday and I love it so fucking much.
Tumblr media
Side Order is fun, but lacking criminally in content.
You can argue Roguelites are like this in general, its the core princible to replay them over and over again and as someone who enjoys Roguelites, I agree!
However, a key thing that good roguelites do is continously give you a reason to keep playing- whether that be addictive gameplay or, usually, good story and lacing that in with difficulty that becomes the players goal to lessen- It rewards the player for being curious, experimental and above all else persistant.
I am fully aware that difficulty, due to Splatoon's target audience, in something like a roguelite was never going to be an easy thing to balance let alone pull off but having the main plot resolve itself once you hit the top of the tower was, in my opinion, the first of its blunders.
I feel as if the Splatoon developers know how much the lore and worldbuilding of these games matter to players. Side Order was advertised in very similar veins to Octo Expansion. The trailers had mystery and intrigue with clear connections to the well recieved and loved Octo Expansion to the point of having the same protagonist among other simularities.
They were clearly teasing this to be a successor of SOME capacity to Octo Expansion. And even as I went into this expecting it to be nothing like OE in terms of it's personal weight, I wasn't expecting something so short.
Tumblr media
Classically, in roguelites that focus on story, you would gain story beats the more you replay. And techincally you gain this with the keys gathered from each fully cleared palette. But usually your story rewards in roguelites come from clearing or attempting runs and rewards:
With Side Order's story being resolved the MOMENT you step onto floor 30 with no real context unless you've intentionally avoided the top or have genuinely been slowed by its difficult (which I assume is what the devs intended) makes it's climax feel fast paced and lackluster- undeserved, even.
And, yes, I am fully aware that when you climb the tower agani after the credits role, you begin gain more lore about whats going on. But with the actual, main threat neutralized in every possible way it feels as if this lore should've been offered to us much sooner and much more spread out for a better pay off.
It's story feels like its being told out of order and, in my personal opinion, the themes and actual telling methods of Side Order we're a largely missed opportunity to tell something a bit more indepth. Climbing a tower that gives you essentially nothing until you reach floor 30 (which in my experience takes about 35-40 minutes) only to recieve about two scentences of lore is incredibly tiring and feels dissastifying when the main plot is already over.
It's lack of variation in level design, tasks and chips doesn't help with the climb each time if you're looking for the lore or just to 100% either. And you can argue this is a roguelite problem, but Splatoon's scenario's for a tower climb are pitifully small and you will start to seem repeat almost immediatly on your second or third run.
Tumblr media
I also feel like it relies far too heavily on the player knowing and caring about Octo Expansion. I'm not saying that I think it was a bad idea to have most of what's going on in Side Order happening because of Octo Expansion's events. Hell, I was happy when they were very blatently showing this early on.
But it does very little with its ties to Octo Expansion, making Side Order feel like its constantly struggling to be its own thing away from the original DLC.
I think I can almost see what they wanted to go for here, and its frustrating, it felt close to something at least telling a decent story.
Every single little beat I've gotten has helped me understand more and more what they were going for, but since the main conflict is already resolved I find it hard to be excited and more frustrated that I wasn't given these during my initial playthrough.
I feel as though the roguelite formula was an interesting idea that they polished the best of their ability and to make work both for casual and experience players- but I think thats where the problem comes in.
With Side Order being the same price as Octo Expansion and offering very little in terms of replayability and most especially for me, story, the whole thing ends up feeling like a muddled mess that would've worked better had the roguelite aspect perhaps been dropped in general for a general tower climb.
Missed opportunies feel like they decorate Side Order in a way that leaves me fairly disappointed.
I think, overall, Side Order is a fun time that can be enjoyed but the way it was implimented into the gameplay formula was largely a mistake, especially coupled with the marketing of this being something more indepth with its story when it's not, and I can absolutely understand why I'm seeing a lot of disappointment for it.

HARSH TIDES - DAY ONE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count: 1.1k
cw: mentions of war, strong language, violent themes, hatred for reader.
masterlist.
Tumblr media
Outbreak of war is inevitable. It is in the very human DNA to fight other humans for a piece of land. Now how ambitious the attacking humans felt for the size of the land they were aiming for varies.
Chan knew - albeit very deep down - that as soon as he joined the navy he would be wrapped up in a war sooner or later. Honestly he didn't expect it to be this soon.
Chan sighed as he looked at his fleet, the glorious Fifth Fleet's formation for the tenth time within not even three minutes.
General Major of the operation Im Jae Beom - by far Chan's superior - instructed that he and another Admiral of the Crescent Navy would join forces and lead the offensive against the enemy. An enemy which he didn't even know about a week ago.
"Will you stop huffing like that? I'm starting to think there's something really wrong with you." Vice Admiral of the Fifth Fleet Lee Minho, Chan's trusted comrade and good friend, spoke out in annoyance.
Chan couldn't help but huff once more, as if Minho told him to continue huffing instead.
He couldn't help it, his blood pressure had reached skyrocketing levels, not only because of the war in general, but most importantly because he still didn't know which Admiral and which fleet he would have to team up with for the rest of the operation.
He slowly massaged his temples, head down towards the floor and legs crossed in his seat,
"I'm starting to think there's something really wrong with me too." Chan trailed off.
"Dude, there's nothing wrong with you," Minho rolled his eyes and sat next to his Admiral,
"You're just extremely stressed to the point of a stroke. I get it, but you don't have to worry. We've been over the plan with the General Major five times now. Everything will go according to plan." Minho tried - key word tried - to smile comfortingly at him.
Chan furrowed his brows with newfound thought.
"It's not the plans.. why would Jae Beom ship out another fleet? Are we that low grade to him that we need a helping hand?" the more he spoke, the more frustrated he became,
"I've proven and my men have proven how capable we are! We have the Crescent Airforce as support sure but we don't need six other ships out here too!" Chan yelled out with exasperation, his hands flailing around him wide open.
He huffed again - seemingly a recurring pattern for him - and fell back in his chair, rubbing his hands forcibly up and down his face.
"I just hope it's Mingyu and the Fourth Fleet.." Chan groaned under his palms, the result of his sentence sounding muffled and borderline unintelligible if it wasn't for Minho's understanding of the Admiral's behavior.
Even though Chan was visibly on thin ice with his frustration levels and high blood pressure, Minho couldn't help but tease,
"What if it's the newly promoted Second Fleet?" he raised his eyebrows suggestively.
Chan snapped his head from his palms to glare at the Vice Admiral,
"I swear to God Minho if you jinx this and that witch comes I'm throwing you overboard to the sharks."
And by God did he mean it.
Y/N Y/L/N was not someone Chan even wanted to affiliate with.
Since the beginning of time - exaggeration from Chan’s part - she was out to get him. That was the only logical conclusion he had for what she had done to him.
He had met her in his fifth week of training as a simple soldier, in fact, he remembers that day as clear as day. He was stationed to clean the ports for a physical exercise later that day with his good friend Mingyu when he saw the then Vice Admirals of the Third and Fifth Fleets show new recruits around the camp.
He’d rather die than admit that Y/N had caught his attention the moment he laid his eyes on her. But it was the truth. Her radiant smile and crinkled eyes as she took in the campsite and the docks was still ingrained into his brain.
Being a naive little boy, he agreed to Mingyu’s idea to approach the group of recruits and introduce themselves, he would see them in the cafeteria and during drills either way so there was no harm in approaching them - said Mingyu at least.
Boy was he wrong.
His shimmering image of Y/N fell apart the moment she opened her mouth. From that interaction alone, he didn’t want to be around her, not even for one second. And worst of all?
He didn’t know to this day why Y/N was just so rude to him from the beginning.
Minho scoffed and rolled his eyes,
“I still don’t know why the two of you hate each other but like it or not, joining fleets would be the ideal in this situation. Her fleet is renowned for being one of the hardest trained and best-”
“Yeah, I know ‘best fleets in the Crescent Navy’.” Chan cut him off with an eye roll of his own.
“Real talk, why do you hate that woman? She’s been nothing but kind to the rest of us.” Minho inquired further. By the rest of them, he meant their Rear Admirals’ Yang Jeongin, Han Jisung and Lee Felix.
“Real talk? I have no fucking clue. From the moment I met her she has been nothing but fucking rude to me!”
“Maybe you did something to her, then?”
“Oh fuck off Minho.” Chan shot him a glare and waved him off, going back to rubbing his face with his palms.
Minho snickered and walked out of his office and back to the docks. He had a strong feeling he would be seeing the Second Fleet soon, he just hoped it was after Chan had calmed himself at least a little bit.
Luck was not on his side because he heard the signature honking of the Second Fleet from the distance coming right towards them. He guessed Chan must have heard it too because he heard a door slam and angry stomping headed his way.
"I'm throwing you overboard you cunt!" Chan hollered as he made his way towards the Vice Admiral.
But he had been too late, for he heard the Second Fleet's booming Vice Admiral greeting them, even if the distance between their ships was still quite big. Chan felt his left eye starting to tick with annoyance.
And adding to his annoyance, he could also make out the figure of the Admiral next to the loud Vice with crossed arms and what he could only picture as an annoying smirk on her lips.
This would be a looong operation.

"I could break you easily"
"I know" the reply shudders from his lips. His eyes are wide and hazy. He's in the monster's thrall yet his own desire is just as compelling.
"I could kill you"
"Yess..." Breathy with excitement the man squirms on the bed beneath the creature. He rolls his hips trying to encourage it to caress his pretty bobbing cock. A cold, soft palm embraces his shaft and presses it against his belly, using purposeful thumb strokes over the underside of the taut, slender cock head.
"Ah-ahhhnn"
The vampire chuckles. Leaving his prey's cock to throb unfulfilled, he spreads the human's legs bending them to the side with jerky movements. Careful with his sharp teeth, making sure to drag his fangs over the delicate skin, the creature marks its way down the man's hip and thigh until it can feel the drumbeat of rushing blood vibrating through his fangs. For a moment he rests there with closed eyes, his fangs like sounding rods, letting the heady throb reverberate in his skull and intensify his bloodlust.
Letting the monster threaten him in this way is the human man's favorite way to play. And the creature indulges its beastly nature, seeking its own bliss. Society and the covens may have mingled, playing at social niceties, but vampires are viscous parasites and there is no way to hold that back completely.
When the monster lifts its head its eyes are sickly pale, opaque with dark red veins cutting across them. The human gasps, and whines at the undead between his legs. Watching it transform into a horrific facsimile of humanity with its lips pulled back over the sharp teeth, only adds to his anticipation. His sudden cry of pain entwines with the vampire's snarl as it strikes its target. There's a sharp pinch and a sear of pain as their fangs slice through the skin to the thick vital vein underneath.
The human's eye close tightly, his back bows, his cock pulses and drips with each pull of his life force into the maw of evil. A sweet dizziness fills his mind after a few moments of being feasted on. With it comes a sense of relief and a softening of his body as if all anxiety has been drained as well.
The monster releases him with a pop, a satisfied little growl, and a lustful lick to the puncture wounds. It raises up, leering at his lover with a new unholy energy buzzing about his body. Suddenly nourished, his own cock stands at attention straining towards the human. The vampire licks his lips clean while pulling and squeezing at his other tool of impalement; a raging tan dick and purple mushroom head.
"Still alive?" the question is rhetorical as it can still hear his human's heartbeat. The man gives a sloppy nod, lolling in his ecstasy.
The vampire reaches for a lubricant and begins to rub the slippery substance into the man's opening. With one finger he forces a dollop inside, and adding another finger he strokes his lover's hot, quivering insides. Soon a third finger joins with a meaty wet sound and mewling encouragement from the man. His hips buck seeking to draw the thrusting fingers further inside against the swollen point of pleasure in his bowels. His cock is softer now, from blood loss, but there is nothing soft about his need to be wit the monster.
The vampire coos as he stretches the ring of muscles sucking at his fingers.
"That's it, open for me. Look at you, so soft and vulnerable. Damn" The undead fiend's hand is now warmed through thanks to the man's blood and his hot meaty channel. Adjusting, the creatures leans down taking a long kiss from the mans full lips. He spreads out, pressing his body along his lover's seeking more warmth and more of his plush body. He grinds down with his hips and their cocks slide back and forth against each other.
The human's hands are holding the monster close, his lips sucking and tasting a little of his own blood.
The blood-sucker pulls back to kiss the man's cheek, down his neck, teasing the skin with sharp teeth so the man shudders and whines. Sitting back on its heels the vampire takes in the scene. Even with a little blood loss the man beneath the monster's gaze is hot and vibrant. His skin is damp with sweat and the creature can sense the rush of blood just below his prey's skin. With no effort from the monster than man's hips are pulled into the creature's lap, his buttocks grinding against its hard shaft. He's lifted and the shaft teases him, sliding up and down the cleft of his plush, slickened cheeks. With another adjustment he finds himself held with one of the creature's arms wrapped around his lower back, bowing his spine slightly as the vampires lines up his cock with his partners eager little hole. Working through bodily resistance, the thick rod pushes deep with one deliberate thrust. The strength of the monster cannot be resisted. The burning glide is overwhelming causing ripples of pleasure to convulse his fragile human body. He attempts to squeeze his legs shut and ease some of the pressure in his hips but an iron grip holds him fast. Instead he grips the arms that hold him in place, unsure if he's trying to get away from the sensation or pull closer.
"Oh no lover, keeps those legs open, I want to see my mark on you." Comes the mocking laugh from the blood-seeking monster.
The human man moans. The vampire delivers another slow unyielding thrust, burying deep. He pauses for a moment to let the man grind on the invading cock and rock against the spot inside that makes his eyes cross.
With little effort the creature maintains control of his deep penetration, and the room beings to fill with wet rhythmic sounds of copulation, slutty gasps and groans from the man and an animalistic snarl.
The fragile body in its clutches drives the monster wild. There is no escape from its will, no chance for survival should its lust change to hunger. Yet the human is in utter bliss, squirming worse than a worm on a hook.
The vampire strokes the growing chub of an erection his lover is sporting, cooing and praising his little fleshlight. The red hazy state of satisfaction from his blood meal urges his rough playtime with his human.
He leverages the momentum with precise little hip snaps, bouncing his lover on to his dick like a paddleball. He grins and condescends about how stretched and desperate the human has become.
"You take all of that. Like. It's. Nothing. Huh?"
"Pleeeeeease" a panting wail followed by a grunt as the vampire thrusts vigorously.
Again the creature raises up, leaning over the man to fold his body so his knees begin to descend toward his shoulders.
"You can come when ever you want babe" taunts the vampire. He reached between their connected bodies to stroke and squeeze the fleshy sack there. He gathers balls and dick in a strangling grip that causes the man to shut his eyes tightly and his face to twist as if in agony.
The monster pushes the man into the bed with each hammering pump. Aiming the taught package at the man's slack mouth it adds:
"Just try not to waste any." His throbbing sack is released but his dick is relentlessly serviced in the twisting grip of the monster until his eyes roll back an his mouth opens wide to receive his own seed.
Each juicy shot of cum seems timed with the slap of the vampires hips against his ass. Shaking and barley aware of anything but his mind melting release, the man revels in the feeling of being spattered, of making a mess of his face.
"Yeah, just like that. Just uhhgnn, perfect!"

“Another drink, miss?” The waiter in a smart, black tux asked you for the second time this evening, a part of you felt that it was out of pity as you sat alone at a table for two, and had been for the last two hours.
You were supposed to be meeting your girlfriend tonight for date night, you got all dressed up, makeup applied and hair styled perfectly, which had taken forever, only to be stood up. You wouldn’t have overly minded if this was a first occurrence, you would’ve brushed it off and rescheduled for another night. Which is what you had done, two missed date nights ago.
This was your third night of sitting alone in a crowded, candlelit restaurant as couples around you glanced over with a sympathetic gaze, which had only made you feel worse. Your girlfriend should be here. ‘Natasha should be here’, you thought. You looked up at the kind waiter, giving him a gentle smile before shaking your head.
“No, thank you. I think I'm calling it a night.” You spoke as you hurried to gather your things and get out of there as soon as possible, trying to hold back tears that you refused to let fall, not in front of all of these strangers. You hated this. You hated feeling so exposed. So vulnerable. You couldn’t help but feel anger bubble inside of you, thoughts of Natasha being the only thing currently plaguing your mind, most along the lines of; ‘What was her excuse this time?’ ‘Who is she with instead?’, but, there was one in particular that you couldn’t help but focus on.
‘She promised.’
You hadn’t realised you were crying until you were in the taxi, catching a glimpse of yourself in the rearview mirror when the driver had adjusted it slightly to see the cars behind you, in the process, you’d also caught her eyebrows raise in concern and it wasn’t long before she started conversation.
“You okay back there?”
You laughed somewhat bitterly, but it wasn’t towards her. “Nothing I can't handle.”
Your response didn’t seem to settle her worry as she turned quickly and shot you a sad smile before returning her eyes to the road.
“Boy troubles?”
“Girl.” You rubbed your face, trying to rid yourself of any tear stains that may be lingering and messing up your once really pretty makeup. Not that it really mattered at this point.
“Ah, been there.” She held up her left hand, showing you the shimmering diamond on her finger. “The wife and I have had our fair share of arguments and fallouts, some of them included a situation like this one.”
“Crying in the backseat of a taxi?”
“Crying in the backseat of a taxi.” She laughed lightly, making you smile for the first time tonight.
“It had always worked out though, we’ve never been stronger.”
“Congratulations.” You looked towards the woman “I hope I could be so lucky.” You mumbled, though still loud enough for her to hear. You were mad at Natasha, more disappointed really, but you still loved her, dangerously so. She could stand you up for another 50 dates, and you’d still be head over heels. Angry, but your love would never falter.
“I’m sure you will be. If there’s one thing I've learned over the years, it’s that things have a way of falling into place eventually.”
Pondering her words, you looked out of the car window and noticed that you were pulling up to Stark Tower. It wasn’t long before the car came to a complete stop, the woman turning round to you and beginning to speak again.
“You’ll be okay. It’s obvious you love her, okay? Speak to her. I’m sure it’ll be alright.” She looked at you with nothing but kindness in her eyes, which you did your best to return with a smile. You reached into your purse, handing her the money owed, plus a tip.
“Thank you for the help.”
“Don’t worry about it, go get her.” She winked as you got out of the car and watched her drive away, quickly taking yourself inside to avoid freezing to death as the cold wind blew harshly. Kicking your heels off, you set off with one task at hand. Talk to Nat.
__________________________
“Hey, have any of you guys seen Nat?” You addressed some members of the team who were hanging out in the Kitchen, fixing themselves a snack or just conversing with one another. The second they looked up and took in their appearance, you could’ve sworn their faces paled and saddened slightly as if they knew what had happened.
“I think I saw her head off to train a while ago, but I'm not sure if she’s still there.” Carol replied, her face morphing into one of seriousness. She knew about the missed dates, having found you one night looking completely defeated in one of your nicest dresses and heels. She, alongside Wanda, who had found you both later that night, had spent their night comforting you and reassuring you that she probably hadn’t meant it. They didn’t know what to do, they’d never seen you look so sad before, no matter how much you told them it was okay, the pang in their chest for their best friend hadn’t ceased.
You nodded, quietly thanking Carol and wandered off in search for your girlfriend.
It didn’t take long, she was still training when you’d walked into the gym, sweat practically pouring off of her. Your heart softened briefly when you saw her, her fiery red hair tied back into a ponytail with loose strands all over the place, wearing a black t-shirt, grey sweatpants and a deadpan face as she attacked the dusty punching bag with such force that you’re surprised it hasn’t flown off of the chains yet.
She hadn’t noticed you had walked in, still giving all of her focus to her punches. Maybe she just hadn’t heard you?
“Hi Nat.”
Nothing.
“Nat”
All you could hear was the furious rattling of chains, still not getting a response from the redhead. With a sigh, you decided to try another approach. You stepped closer to her, still keeping a little distance, and leaned forward to tap her shoulder, instantly grabbing her attention. She flung herself around, arm still in midair, her closed fist almost coming into contact with your face.
You don’t know what you expected when she turned around and finally acknowledged your presence, but you definitely didn’t expect to be met with a scowl.
“Seriously? in the middle of training? I could’ve hit you.” She huffed as she turned back to her previous position.
“Sorry. I just wanted to come in and talk to you.”
“About?”
You paused, expecting her to look at you again, but she didn’t.
With a small sigh, you continued. “you missed date night again. I waited for you, but you were a no show.”
“Right, yeah, date night” she muttered, seeming to be unfocused as her eyebrows furrowed and her head kept darting around the room, looking anywhere but at you. “I’ll make the next one.”
“This is the third one you’ve missed this month.” You said firmly, wanting her to understand that this can’t keep happening, of course cancellations or rearrangements were bound to happen sometimes, but she’s just not showing up and then leaving you in the dark as to knowing why.
“I told you, i’ll make the next one.” She walked over to the bench, picking up her water bottle and taking a swig of water, looking directly at you, you look back at her and she just looks so, unbothered.
“I don’t believe you, Nat. You say you’ll make it up to me and then I sit there again, hoping that you’ll be there this time, but you don’t turn up. And now I come back and you’re just training. Could it not have waited? Was that seriously more important?” You raised your voice now, all the anger and frustration you’d felt earlier coming back up to the surface.
You just wanted an explanation, or something to justify how she was acting, but she gave you nothing, not even an attempt, only adding fuel to the fire.
“Why are you getting so annoyed? You should know better than anyone that this is my job.”
“I just explained that to you! Which is more than what you’re giving me right now.”
“Okay, fine, forgive me for not making everything about you for a minute.” She spat bitterly towards you, her temper starting to go as the discussion became more heated.
“Seriously? That’s how you’re seeing this?” If you weren’t so unbelievably irritated, you would’ve laughed at her response.
“You’re being selfish. So I missed a date or two, you’re blowing this out of proportion once again, it’s infuriating.” Selfish?
You raised both your hands, as if in surrender. It was one thing to ditch you, it was another thing to then insult you for speaking up about it. With a tight lipped smile, oozing with sarcasm, you decided that you’d had enough.
“I don’t need to listen to this.”
She shrugged her shoulders, adjusting the gloves she’d just put on. “Then don’t, i’m busy anyways.”. This time, you did laugh.
“What a fucking surprise.”. And with that, you turned on your heels and walked out, hearing the echo of punches fill the room once again, every one feeling like a punch to the stomach.
Maybe these are things falling into place, just not the place you’d hoped.
________________________
You were still in bed at noon the next day, unable to bring yourself to get up and face the world. You didn’t need to worry about anything in the confinement of your bed, even more so considering it wasn’t the bed you shared with Natasha.
After speaking, well, arguing with her last night, you went straight to your shared bedroom, gathered some clothes and your essentials, and slept in your old room that you used to stay in before the two of you started dating. It felt wrong. You always spent your nights with a warm feeling of love washing over you as your girlfriend pressed kisses all over your face, tangling your limbs together in the process.
It wasn’t the same. You felt cold, a type of cold that no heating or blankets could solve. You lacked a weight on your waist, fingertips stroking the skin that was exposed due to your top riding up slightly. Instead, the only comfort you had was the small bear you’ve kept for the las year. It was one that Natasha had given you after she won it at the funfair on your third date, and you could never bring yourself to part with it, remembering how happy she looked when she handed it to you, and the butterflies you felt just from seeing her look so pleased.
The bear was a little worn and torn now, it had been ripped in a couple of places, now replaced with a little sewn on patch of material that didn’t exactly match the shade of brown, and one of the eyes had started to fall off, but you liked that it was different. The assassin had tried to offer to replace it and buy you a new one, but you’d always refuse, insistent that you would keep that bear with you for the rest of time. Even now, when the two of you weren’t speaking, you still held onto it with a death-tight grip.
A knock on the door snapped you out of your daydream.
“Y/N, open up, It’s me.” A familiar voice shouted through. Carol.
“And me!” Wanda.
You heard some muttering outside of the door, something along the lines of Carol suggesting they break the door down, immediately being told that it was unnecessary by the Sokovian. Feeling pretty against the idea of having a doorway with no door, you called out for them.
“Guys, it’s unlocked.” You were quiet, but it was clear that they had heard you as the faint talking stopped altogether and you heard them walk in and shut the door behind them with a ‘click’.
Wanda was the first to approach you, kneeling down beside the bed so that she was at eye level with you, pulling the bed covers down a little to uncover more than your forehead. Once she could see your eyes and nose, she sent you a warm smile.
“Hi sleepy. It’s noon.”
“I know.” She frowned when she heard you speak, your voice raspy from your crying through the night. She hated seeing you like this, she loved both you and Natasha, and it hurt to see you so sad because of the woman you adored.
“We should go and eat something, it’ll help.”
“‘M not hungry.” You pressed your head further into the pillow, the last thing you wanted to do was eat, your stomach already feeling like it was twisting with every minute that passed.
“C’mon, i’ll make you your favourite.” the blonde winked, leaning against your wardrobe.
“Your special pancakes?”
“With extra whipped cream.” She sang, playfully trying to encourage you to leave the bed. You had to hand it to her, she knew you too well.
WIth a brief look between the two, you rubbed your eyes and threw the covers off dramatically, sighing and ensuring that they knew you didn’t approve of this. They knew you were joking, even if you weren’t, all they cared about was making sure you were okay, knowing that when you felt like this, being left alone allows you to neglect yourself and get really low. They don’t mind if you dislike them for a little while, as long as you are looked after.
“There we go! Well done.” Wanda stroked your back and led you towards the door where Carol held it open for you.
“No breaking it down behind my back.” You shot towards her, slightly amused at the guilty look on her face as she realised you’d heard her quarrel beforehand. Shaking her head, she nudged you out of the door, and the three of you made your way into the kitchen.
_______________________
Carol had stuck to her promise of preparing a sweet treat for you, a stack of fluffy pancakes sat in front of you, topped with whipped cream and two cherries on top. You ate slow, still a little cautious of how stable your stomach felt. You could see your two friends talk with one another, not wanting to stare and make you uncomfortable, but occasionally looking over silently to check in on you.
You were feeling pretty content as you sat at the counter, munching away with the two avengers for company. It was only when you heard a voice that you could recognise anywhere.
“Hi guys.”
Not daring to look up, you ket your eyes focused on the food in front of you, hoping that if you just stay quiet, you’ll be invisible to the human eye.
“Hey Nat.”
“Hi.”
Wanda and Carol replied, wary of any interaction between the pair of you that could unfold into something neither of you wanted or that would lead to any regrets.
You lifted your head slightly, able to see the daggers Carol was throwing at Nat, not impressed with her being in the room. You both had always been quite close, often talking about life before becoming superheroes that protect the planet, in her case, planets. In the process, she’d found herself having a soft spot for you, wanting to protect you from anything that could bring you harm. Which you were grateful for, but her glaring was terrifying sometimes, you were more grateful for the fact that her powers weren’t in her eyes, otherwise you would’ve definitely become single five minutes ago.
You could see Natasha out of the corner of your eye, she was filling up the bottle she used for when she was training, her eyes weren’t on what she was doing, instead, she was trying to subtly look up at you through the hood of her eyes. You subconsciously took the opportunity to really take in her appearance.
Her hair hadn’t been tended to since you last saw her, half of it was hanging out of her ponytail, most of it falling in front of her face. Her eyes looked glassy and bloodshot, like she had been crying recently and you could’ve sworn that was your t-shirt she was wearing. The sight sent a wave of sadness over you, wanting nothing more than to leap over the counter and pull her into your arms and tell her things were fine, that the two of you were fine. But you stayed seated, too nervous to make a move.
You didn’t know it, but she regretted speaking to you last night, instantly realising what she’d done after she came back to her room to find it empty and half of your stuff gone. She knew immediately where you’d gone and would’ve gone through to talk it through with you, but she didn’t think it would help. She wanted you to have your time and space before approaching the situation.
With that, she tightened the lid on her bottle, sent you an apologetic smile and walked out of the room, leaving behind an awkward atmosphere in her absence.
“You alright?” Wanda asked
“Yeah, yeah no I'm okay. I’m feeling a little tired though, I'll catch you guys in a bit, okay?” You stood from your seat, not giving either of the two a chance to stop you as you walked out and back to bed. What a day.
_______________________
Hours had gone by now and you were back wrapped up under your bed covers, still clinging onto your bear. You hadn’t bothered to change, you went straight to bed after walking in the door. You’d managed to get some sleep earlier, not a lot, but it was something.
You tossed and turned, trying to find any way of being comfortable so your body could rest and your mind could shut off, but it was deemed to be impossible. All you could think about was your argument with Nat, and how she looked so upset earlier. The thought alone triggered the waterworks again, this time, you didn’t even attempt to stop them.
Only a couple of minutes had passed before there was yet again, another knock on your door. You rolled your eyes, really not wanting any more visitors, you were grateful for the help, but you really wanted to be alone.
“Guys, I’m fine! It’s late, get some sleep.” You called out, waiting to hear retreating footsteps, but they never came. Huh. That’s weird? You brushed it off quickly, assuming that it must’ve just been too quiet to hear, which you wouldn’t put past you due to all the sniffling you’ve been doing in an attempt to silence your crying.
You were wrong. The person at your door hadn’t walked away. They also weren’t Wanda or Carol. Instead, it was who you least expected to be in your room at god knows what time at night after the events that had unfolded recently.
“Hi.” The redhead whispered, worrying that if she spoke any louder, you’d be able to hear her voice shake with nerves, or the huge lump in her throat that wouldn’t budge.
You froze on the spot when you realised who it was, not entirely sure how you were gonna play this. Realistically, you might as well just see what it is she wants, it couldn’t hurt, could it?
“Hey.”
Her footsteps were practically silent but still felt deafening as she stepped closer to you, cringing slightly at how tense and forced all of this felt. It was her fault, she knew that, she hoped you did too. She didn’t want you blaming yourself for her actions, although she couldn’t say anything if you did, she was the one who had insulted you and planted the thought in your head, and she felt every fibre in her body beg for you to forgive her.
Approaching with caution, she walked up to the top of the bed, kneeling where Wanda had been earlier, but unlike Wanda, she didn’t reach out for you. She didn’t feel she had the right. Not now. She quickly took note of your eyes and how they were drooping and red, just like how hers had been earlier, which is how she could know in an instant that you had just been crying. She felt like a knife had gone through her chest at the sight, knowing that she had done that to you. She’d let you down so much that it had brought you to laying in bed alone and crying.
You mumbled something incoherent, completely muffled by the covers that were blocking your mouth.
“Sorry, I couldn’t hear you through the cover, could you tell me that again?”
You looked down a little, debating on doing it or just asking her to leave this conversation for another day. ‘But, she was already here, so you may as well get on with it.’ you thought, and with that, you tugged the covers down a little, letting Natasha see your full face now, unable to stop a tiny hint of a smile creeping up on her face. Your nose was runny, your eyes were puffy, and your face was flushed, but that didn’t change the fact that she still believed you to be the most beautiful woman she’d seen.
“Has something h-happened?” You hiccuped, noticing the frown take over her features as she maintained her eye contact with you.
“Yeah. i was a complete idiot.”
“Nat-”
“No, no, please. I want to explain. I need to explain. Please?” She pleaded, not caring how desperate she might’ve looked.
You paused for a minute before sighing gently, nodding at her and giving her a non-verbal go ahead to continue. She took a deep breath, looking away for a second then looking back at you before you could even blink. You could see her hands tremble a little, and while you were upset with her, you couldn’t leave it alone. You reached your hand out from under the cover and held it out to her, offering it for her to hold. She grabbed it without hesitation, squeezing it gently as a single tear fell, gathering the courage to say her next words.
“I have no excuse for what I did. There is nothing I could say that would make my actions plausible or acceptable, I shouldn’t have treated you like that or said what I did, and I understand if you can’t forgive me, or don’t want to. But I needed-, no, I need you to know, I'm sorry. I’m so sorry, Y/N. You deserve better.”
More tears had fallen down her face at this point, her thumb not ceasing in their circular movements on the back of your hand. She didn’t know if this was going to be the last time she felt your hand in hers, so with every circle, she was savouring the moment, no matter how badly she wished it was under different circumstances.
You shuffled a little so you were in a more upright position, hoping that it would make speaking easier. You’d taken in every word, and while you were hurt, extremely hurt, you saw how remorseful she was. Her face showed no sign of humour or like she was lying. You could always tell when she was lying, her eyebrow always twitched a little, which you would always be in stitches about when she tried to say she didn’t eat your last cookie and her eyebrows would be moving like mad. They were as still as stone when she was speaking this time.
“You really hurt me, Nat. I didn’t think I was asking for much, just some time with you, that was all. And you left me every time, for work and with no notice. It was embarrassing.” She nodded in acknowledgement as she listened. “A-and then to come back and witness you being so, so, hostile, with me, I didn’t understand what I'd done.”
She gulped audibly before speaking again. “You hadn’t done a thing. Not a thing. I-I threw myself into work, into training. The last mission, I was sloppy, I wasn’t on my A game, it almost ended up with other people seriously hurt. So I thought-” She took a shaky breath in. “I thought, if I trained harder, It would mean I would be better for the next mission. But I disregarded everything else on the radar, including you, and then I got so mad at myself for it that I ended up taking it out on you instead. You don’t have a selfish bone in your body, and it was out of order for me to ever say so. It was wrong, and I don’t think I can apologise enough.`` She gave you an apologetic smile, tears streaming down her face steadily now.
“You know, when I came home from the restaurant, I had this driver.” You smiled. “Nice woman, she’s got a wife. She was telling me that it wasn’t easy for them. They had their ups and downs, their fights and bitterness. But they always found their way back to each other.” You whispered so softly that if there was any other noise in the room, Natasha wouldn’t have heard a word.
“And, when we argued, I really didn’t think we were going to be able to come back from that. I thought that maybe our time had expired.” You sniffled, your own tears trailing their way down your cheeks. Without thinking, she wiped them away, her palm pressing onto your warm cheek as you nuzzled into it, still finding comfort in her touch.
“I don’t want us to expire, Nat.”
There it was. There was the sentence that turned silent tears into fully body wracking sobs, your hands instinctively going to pull away and cover your face, instead, Natasha brought herself up to sit on the side of your bed, hastily bringing you into her chest and her free hand combing its way through your hair.
She rocked you back and forth, letting you get everything out of your system, no matter how much it hurt to hear.
“Shh, I’ve got you. I’m so sorry, moya lyubov.”
Your sobs soon died down with Nat’s help, sobs turning into faint pants with how tired you were and how much energy it had taken out of you. You looked up at her softly, as she smiled down at you.
“I love you, Natty.” You murmured, the words making the assassin’s heart grow fonder for you, if that was ever possible.
“I love you more.”
“Can you stay with me tonight? I can’t sleep without you.”
“Of course. Anything for you.” She leaned over you, bringing the blankets back up and over you, catching a glimpse of some brown fur among the darkness. She knew exactly what it was. She picked up up with the blankets and handed it to you, happiness overtaking her as she saw your eyes light up at the teddy she won for you.
“Thank you.”
“No, thank you, Detka.” She pressed a kiss to your temple before settling down, holding you tight in her grasp, refusing to let you go for anything or anyone, not that you were complaining, you’d missed this.
Nothing had to be decided tonight, there was no rush for discussion. Sure, there were still things to talk through and work out, but that can wait. All that mattered right now, was that Natasha was there. She was holding you in her arms and you felt every ounce of love and apology she could give you. And that was enough for now.

katsuki bakugou | competitive sex + f!reader + pro hero!kats + hickeys + hair-pulling + ripping clothes + a surprise guest + more! minors dni.
— 1.8k words
"Text Shitty Deku we're gonna be little late."
Tumblr media
“Katsuki. Hands off.”
The ash-blond sighs, grumbling like the petulant child he is before forcing his hands to his sides. Glaring at you through the mirror, he grunts, “Fuckin’ why.”
"Because I'm trying to get ready and you're in the way." You swat his hands away and reach for a brush, rolling your eyes when he ignores everything you just said in favor of hooking his chin around your shoulder and wrapping his arms around your waist. You shrug him off, "Now move."
In your defense, you've been pushed to your limit.
You two are already late enough for the Gala as it is, you know, the one that's exclusively for pro heroes. And yet, for some reason, today's the day your boyfriend's brain seems to be in his dick.
Tumblr media
Katsuki digs his teeth into your neck, hard enough to make you whimper before you rip his head away by the strands of his hair. He growls in frustration, the grip on your waist ever-tightening.
"Y'know...if people saw the type of shit you pull in private, they'd think you were the aggressive one."
"You let me get away with it," you respond absentmindedly, leaning towards the mirror until the cool from the counter presses into your gut. Mistake.
"Right. I've been too fuckin' soft, huh?" Katsuki says more to himself than to you before he's forcing you over the sink with a heavy hand on your back; the metal from the faucet knocks you in the collarbone. "That shit changes today."
"I—Kats, we don't have ti—" but the indisputable sound of ripping cloth bounces off your bathroom walls, and the addition of cool air brushing your inner thighs implies precisely what you hope he didn't just do.
His phone clatters on the counter before he's nudging your legs wider, nestling between them, and settling on his knees.
"Text Shitty Deku we're gonna be late."
"Katsuki Bakugou, did you just rip my fucking stockings?" You howl, grip tightening around the marble countertop in fury. Katsuki growls, delivering a heavy slap to your ass.
"I said fuckin' text him."
Your chest rises and falls with indignance, and yet you're punching in the code to his phone anyway, telling Izuku to reserve two spots at the table next to him because you two won't be able to do it yourselves.
"D'ya send it?" Katsuki asks, having a blast as he kneads your exposed ass to the point where it's sore. You nod, dropping the six-by-four box onto the countertop in resignation, and the ash-blond's chest rumbles at that, hand disappearing only to crack back down twice as hard. "Good girl."
Pushing your panties to the side, Katsuki wastes no time in sliding in his finger to the first knuckle, grinning when you shudder against him. You squeal as his teeth graze your inner thigh, and he hikes your knee onto the couch, dismissing how much you complain about the burn.
"What? Can't get a better view?" He growls, cheeky bastard, before he's sucking a hickey into your thigh because he knows you like it and pushing his finger in the rest of the way. You narrow your eyes, glaring at the small sliver of his smug face you can actually see in the mirror—and he's quickly filling you with a second finger, chuckling at your moan.
"You shouldn't have a view in the first place," you grumble, insistent on standing your ground. "You should be viewing the road because we're supposed to be driving right now."
"That's a real fuckin' pity then," Katsuki responds apathetically, lips pink as he moves to suck another hickey—closer to the apex of your thighs this time. You whimper as he scissors his fingers and passes a messy thumb over your clit, hips burning from holding this position for so long. With a final lick, Katsuki pulls away from his third or fourth mark (you're not too sure) and smacks his lips. "On the sink."
"On the c—Katsuki we have to g—wah!"
Katsuki takes it upon himself to hook his arms under your thighs and hoist you onto the cool thing, sending all miscellaneous bathroom items flying. You sigh, accepting the fact that you're probably not going to make it out of the house tonight as your back kisses the freezing glass, and Katsuki pushes your knees as far back as they'll go.
He curls a lip, and then he spits, getting saliva all over your pussy and thighs, and it's wholly and utterly lewd. And yet, you bite your lip at the feeling, and he grins, knowing you like it just as much as you'll say you hate it.
"You're a fuckin' dirty girl, y'know that?" Katsuki's eyes go dark. You huff, threading a hand through his ash-blond locks to tug—and you're the one grinning when he moans.
"I'm not the one who's making us skip a mandatory gala to get his dick wet," you quip with a raised eyebrow, and your hand never leaves his hair. "Am I?"
Katsuki growls with a curled lip, but you know better, and so does the clammy grip on your thigh. You tug on his hair again, and suddenly you're full of him, yelping in surprise as your arms scramble for his back for better purchase instead.
"What was that?" He asks breathily, hiding a groan behind a bitten lip. You're just thankful he's giving you time to adjust, or so you think, until he almost pulls out entirely before his hips snap forwards as hard as they can, knocking your spine into the mirror and a bottle of lotion onto the floor.
You moan, hands searching for his hair again because you know it's one of the only things that will provide a one-up—Katsuki bares his teeth at that, bending over to suck a mark into your neck and his hips continue to fuck you into tomorrow.
"You fit like a goddamn glove," Katsuki wheezes, the grip he has around your stocking-covered thigh edging on bruising. "So tight around me—fuck—"
"K-Kats—" you grapple for his dress shirt so hard it tears, causing you to crash against the counter and make more of a mess that's already been made. The ash-blond's hips don't do anything but speed up though, filling you to the point where a deep breath feels like too much.
"Fuck baby, you're so goddamn needy," Katsuki grabs your attention by your jaw with a gritty chuckle, "But this shit's only for me, ain't it? 'Cause you're fuckin' mine."
You whimper with a nod, nails latching onto hot and sticky skin now. Katsuki hisses as they rake down his back, but that only makes you want to dig in harder.
"Fuckin' say it—tell me you're mine and no one else's," he challenges with a glint in his carmine red eyes, and something in your gut churns underneath it. Something painfully primal and raw, which has you howling out:
"'M yours, only yours!"
You jolt when his thumb returns to your clit and refuses to let up. Katsuki growls at that, somehow finding the stamina to speed up—and gripping your shoulder for leverage. You moan, eyes fluttering as his cock reaches the deepest it has tonight, and you’re sure Katsuki can tell as well if his curse is anything to go by.
Ring, ring! Ring ring!
Surprisingly, Katsuki's phone survived the purge and still sits on the counter, albeit teetering on the edge of absolute destruction. The ash-blond catches it before it falls and has the nerve to swipe right, not allowing you to fit in an objection or any say in this at all.
"The fuck do you want, Deku?" He grunts, putting the phone on speaker before he sets it back down. You eep in protest, but all he does is mouth the words quiet, baby. So you're huff, biting onto the meat of your palm for extra precaution.
"Um, Kacchan? Where are you guys?" The greenette's voice echoes off the bathroom walls to the point where it's nearly comical how clueless he is, and yet Katsuki refuses to slow down. "People are starting to ask when you're getting here..."
"Not fuckin' goin'," Katsuki's sweat drips from his brow onto your chest, and all of a sudden, you're aware of how painfully close you are, but hold back in fear of making too much noise. Izuku sighs through the phone, and you can feel his disappointment from here.
"I—Kacchan, you can't just opt out of these things, you know," Izuku says, echoing your words from earlier. "Mandatory means you have to attend."
"Yeah, well, I got better shit to do, Deku," the ash-blond spits, though he's grinning like the devil because the asshole knows you're close, he can just tell at this point, and you hate how well he knows your body.
"It doesn't matter if you don't want to go, Kacchan!" The pro-hero shrills, voice peaking out of pure frustration. "This is mandatory. As in, M-A-N-D-A-T—"
Katsuki hangs up.
"Why is everyone so goddamn mouthy these days?" He grunts, primarily to himself, and somehow you have the will to giggle. Katsuki's eyebrows furrow as you tighten around him, spurred when the head of his cock nudges the perfect spot, and his nails start to tear into what's left of your stockings as he shudders, "I—fuck baby, I'm gonna cum."
"What? Being on the phone with Izuku got you all riled up or something?" You jest breathily, and Katsuki growls, slapping your outer thigh.
"Don't fuckin' bring the nerd up right now," he wheezes, and you resist the urge to quip back—mainly because you're close yourself. You reach to pull Katsuki's hair again and his hips stutter, eyes fluttering with a breathy moan as he finally fills you up, keening over to dig his teeth into your neck. And his orgasm is only the catalyst for your own, thumping your hands against his chest as your body ignites like a live wire, toes curling and eyes screwed shut.
Katsuki stays seated in you as he catches his breath, head resting on the cool mirror with his ash-blond hair mattes brown to his forehead. He's always uncharacteristically soft while basking in his afterglow, face and chest flushed bright red from exertion as his eyes soften in a way he rarely lets them.
"You good?" He pants, chest still heaving as he blinks down at your exhausted figure. Somehow, you find the energy to nod.
"I don't feel like leaving anymore, though," you declare towards the ceiling. Katsuki clicks his tongue.
"Was hopin' you'd say that," he says gruffly—you narrow your eyes but bite your tongue. "Wanna watch a movie?"
A movie doesn't sound...bad.
You sigh in defeat (again), though jolting when Katsuki's phone rings. He quickly presses red, and 9 missed calls from shitty fucking deku is the first notification on his home screen. You two share a look—the ash-blond shrugs.
"What? I told the fucker I had better shit to do."

Forgiveness
Percy Weasley x Fem!Reader Summary: Before the Battle of Hogwarts, Percy Weasley did not just return to his family. By standing with the ministry he hurt one of the most important people in his life. Realizing your mistakes is one thing, earning forgiveness the other. Words: 1.6k Prompt: Did you just kiss me? (I did not come upt with the prompt, so thank you to whoever did.)
Percy held his wand a little tighter and shifted his weight nervously from one foot to the other. He knew he had messed up, that he had caused grief to his family and many others. And he knew that his pride and honour had prevented him from offering his apology at an early stage.
"I know no matter what I say, I can't make up for what I've done to you over the last three years. I am sorry. Really and sincerely and I want to start making amends in any way I can. I'll fight with you." Mrs. Weasley was the first of the family to respond, wrapping her third son in a hug as she sobbed.
Y/N didn't know what to think. She had not spoken to Percy for over a year. She was relieved to see him and to know that he had come to his senses, albeit rather late. But the pain, anger and frustration of the past months and years ran deep. After Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley embraced his son as well. And Bill, Charlie, Fred, George, Ron and Ginny also seemed to be more or less happy to see their 'missing' brother again. As much as Y/N would have liked to take him in her arms, kiss him and forgive him, she remained transfixed. Percy's eyes found Y/N, but as soon as their eyes met, Y/N looked away.
After a moment's hesitation, Percy wanted to approach Y/N, but before he could take a step, Kingsley Shacklebolt began to distribute tasks and positions. One by one, smaller groups set off to take up their assigned positions.
"Fred, George, you will position yourselves along with Percy and Y/N in the east wing on the sixth floor. Good luck!" With no time to spare, the four ran down the corridors and stairs. When they reached the sixth-floor landing, the four stopped and looked around uncertainly.
"Okay...you and I will go to the left and you two take the right side of the corridor. If there's any trouble, we'll meet here at the stairs, okay?", Y/N asked the twins and after nodding in agreement, the group split up.
Y/N tried not to think about the fact that she was alone with Percy, of all people. At the moment it was important to concentrate on the situation. The entire castle was as calm and quiet as Y/N had never experienced in her entire school days. Looking out of the window, she could see protective spells being conjured to seal off the castle. Percy stepped beside her at the window. Out of the corner of her eye Y/N could see that his brows were furrowed in concern. It also didn't escape her that he was nervously twirling his wand.
"Stop that. Hold it tight and be ready to use it," Y/N warned Percy, clasping his wrist to quell his movements.
"Y/N, I... well I..." But before Percy could finish his thought, a loud bang echoed from what seemed to be one of the lower floors.
Less than a minute later, the first Death Eaters reached the sixth floor. Curses and spells of all kinds were fired in all directions. Y/N did not know how long they had been fighting, she only knew that more and more people, enemies but also allies, reached the sixth floor and began to fight beside them.
After what felt like an eternity, the corridor was quiet. Breathing heavily, Y/N looked around. A few metres in front of her, two Death Eaters lay petrified on the floor. The rest had retreated. Fred and George had disappeared into another corridor, she could distantly hear the sound of ongoing fighting.
"I think we're done here, let's go help Fred and George," Percy said after he too had regained his breath.
"Avada Kedavra!" As if in slow motion, Y/N saw the Death Eater, who had just turned a corner, point his wand at Percy and fire the Death Curse. She didn't know what she was thinking at that moment, if she had been thinking at all. She only knew that she ran, threw herself in front of Percy and at the same moment screamed "Protego!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Percy, that's fantastic!" Laughing, Y/N jumped into the arms of her boyfriend, who had a huge grin on his lips of his own. He had just told her about receiving his acceptance from the Ministry of Magic.
"I am so proud of you. You really deserve it. Can you imagine, the two of us at the Ministry of Magic?" grinned Y/N, shaking her head in disbelief.
"I know, crazy right? Come on, I want to write a letter to my parents," Percy replied, kissing her on the head and pulling her along with him towards the Owlery.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Do you really think it was necessary to talk to your father like that Percy?" asked Y/N apprehensively as she handed him a cup of tea and sat down on the sofa next to him in the flat they shared.
"You should have heard him! So convinced by everything Dumbledore and Harry told him! He wouldn't even listen to what the Minister told me..." Y/N wasn't really listening to him anymore. She knew how Percy felt about the Ministry, there would be no point in interrupting him now. Y/N loved Percy and yet she would like to strangle him. How could anyone be so stubborn? So blind? She loved her job at the Ministry as much as he did, but all the signs, all the 'coincidences' she couldn't ignore. And she loved his family, his parents, his siblings.
It broke her heart to see Percy distancing himself more and more from them and finally even sending back his Christmas present as well as hers, under strong protest from her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Where are you going Y/N? Don't tell me you believe all this insanity?" asked Percy, his voice loud and full of anger.
"Insanity!? Percy, don't you get it? We are at war and I will not stand by and watch leaflets being sent out as warnings and people being told to be careful! I will fight, I will help!" She became increasingly louder, almost shouting at him at the end as she packed the last of her things into her suitcase.
"Fight? This is rubbish! The Ministry already knows what to do!"
"The same Ministry that took so long to even understand what was going on? Percy, wake up and think for yourself!"
"And where will you go now. If you leave we are done!"
His words stabbed Y/N right into her heart. She didn't know how long she had been toying with the idea of ending her relationship with him. But every time she was sure she wanted to break up, he smiled at her or said something that made her laugh and she remembered that she loved Percy. But she couldn't ignore it anymore. She had to go.
"Okay...okay, if that's the way it is." And with those words, she picked up her suitcase, pushed past Percy and apparated.
With tears in her eyes and unable to explain her situation, Y/N arrived at the Burrow and fell into Mrs. Weasley's arms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything happened in a flash. Images and scenes from the past years flashed through her mind. She didn't know where they came from or what they were supposed to tell her. In the few seconds it took for her to hit the cold stone floor her thoughts were filled only with Percy and she hoped her protection spell was successful.
"Expelliarmus! Petrificus Totalus!"
Y/N heard a dull thud somewhere behind her but could not bring herself to open her eyes. Her head was throbbing and it felt like it was about to explode.
"Y/N! Y/N! No, please don't...please! Y/N." Percy dropped down on the floor beside her and pulled her up to him by the shoulders.
Y/N's eyes flew open, her face contorted in pain.
"Ouch...Percy, could you be a little gentler. My skull is about to explode."
As abruptly as he had pulled her to him, Percy now held Y/N away from him. Wide-eyed, he stared at her. And then he jerked his head forward so quickly that for a brief moment Y/N expected to be headbutted. But instead, his lips met hers in a hard kiss. Y/N's eyes snapped open, but she made no attempt to stop Percy. It was only when he let go of her that she found her voice again.
"Did you just kiss me?" Everything seemed so surreal. They were at war, Percy was here with her, sane, they had just fought off a death curse and now...he had kissed her.
"Merlin Y/N, don't ever do that again. I thought you were dead, I thought I had ...", Percy didn't finish his sentence. Was she even his to lose anymore? After all that had happened?
Without a word, Y/N got to her feet. Percy did the same.
"Y/N...I...I'm really..."
"We don't have time now Percy, we have to get to the others. If we survive this, I can still rip your head off," Y/N interrupted him. As she glanced over at him, however, a smile flashed around her lips. Had she forgiven him? No and it would certainly take quite a while. Did she still love him? Yes, Y/N was quite sure of that and no matter what had happened between them, nothing would change it.
Percy wanted to answer her, to apologise, to beg her for forgiveness, but didn't know what else to say. And before he could form another thought, Y/N kissed him again.
"But now come on!" And with those words, she grabbed Percy by the hand and pulled him with her down the corridor to join his brothers on the other side of the floor.
The battle was not won yet, but Percy and Y/N felt as if the first triumph was already theirs.

Yakko x Reader Scenario: When You First Meet
Tumblr media
'This is it. The beginning of the end.'
Gripping on the straps of her backpack, (Y/n) exited the bus and stared up at the water tower that displayed the famous Warner Bros. logo. As expected, it emitted a smug aura onto the entire area; however, surprisingly, there was a slight twinge of mystery to it as well. But she didn't have time to ponder about it, so she only gave it an uneasy look and headed straight for the entrance.
Her heart stopped. She knew the place was going to be busy, but it was like an entire New York City packed in one section! So many writers, producers, actors, large men carrying heavy sets, every type of person working in film was scattered all over the place. It was like an ocean, with the people as marine life doing what they're designed to do, and (Y/n) being the puppy that was abandoned at sea.
The moment it all settled in, an involuntary realization invaded her thoughts. 'I don't belong here.'
The young girl reminded herself to breathe and rushed over to a vacant wall, then pulled out her phone. She had already sent her mother about a thousand messages telling her she was here, but since she hasn't responded, a few more shouldn't hurt. Fingers rapidly typing away, she bit her lower lip, already wishing she had stayed on that bus.
"Oh, you're just gonna love it!" Her mother's squealing voice had already filled her skull. "You're so talented, I know you're gonna fit right in."
'Yeah, standing around all day with a bunch of people I don't know while doing something I suck at is exactly how I wanna spend my summer.' She let out a soft sigh. 'It's fine. Just shut up and make her happy, (Y/n).'
Several attempts of calling and texting later, no response. (Y/n) sighed again, and her eyes wandered over to the bustling crowd. 'No way. Absolutely no way.' But if she wanted to get the day over with, absolutely yes way.
First, she walked up to a lady looking down at the clipboard in her hands. "Um, excuse me," (Y/n) said.
The lady's head snatched up. "KYLE!" she yelled, her eyes now ablaze with fury, "YOU IDIOT! THAT GOES IN THE WAREHOUSE ACROSS THE STUDIO!" And like there was nothing but a breeze behind her, the lady stomped off to the poor soul that had to face her wrath.
The breeze took a step back and ran around the corner. 'Maybe I'll find someone else instead…!' (Y/n) stopped and spotted a man sitting on the steps that lead to the entrance of a small building. She swallowed whatever was left in her mouth and reluctantly approached him.
"E-Excuse me, sir?" she stuttered, hoping her voice was louder than the last time. As she got closer, (Y/n) noticed he was chuckling, and his gaze was glued onto a small piece of paper.
"I...I did it…!" he said. She yelped and shrinked back when he suddenly jumped to his feet. "I FINALLY DID IT! WE'LL SEE WHO'S REGRETTING THE DIVORCE NOW, MARGARET!" And with a manic laugh, the man dashed into the building.
'...Or maybe I'll just find it myself.'
It wasn't too long before (Y/n) got herself lost. Despite the help of maps that were stuck to some of the buildings, all of them seemed exactly the same. It was like a maze, and with each passing minute, she was more and more convinced that there was no finish line. Even worse, her mother was too busy to respond to anything she sent her.
'Oh, what should I do?' (Y/n) thought for the thousandth time. No matter how hard she pinched or held them, her arms refused to stop trembling. Not too long ago, the outside of the studio became deserted and she'd hate to walk in a warehouse and possibly interrupt something important, so asking for help again was out of the question.
...Or, perhaps it wasn't.
A tiny, hopeful smile crossed (Y/n)'s face when she heard the sounds of frustrated grunts around the corner. It was the first time she was so relieved to see a stranger.
And thank god that stranger was a security guard. Though she wondered why he had a giant net in his hand, she shoved the curiosity as far in the back of her mind as she could and reached up to gently tap his shoulder.
"Um, excuse me sir?" she asked as loud as she could.
His head whipped around, revealing angry eyes and a scowl that said he was ready to kill. But right as his gaze landed on her, it changed within an instant.
"Oh, hello!" he said with a bright smile.
(Y/n) blinked, cocking her head. ‘What was this guy up to?’
"I'm sorry to bother you, but do you know where (M/n) (L/n) is filming? I'm her daughter, (Y/n), and I'm trying to look for her. She's not answering her phone either."
His joyful expression slowly melted into a confused one. "Uuhhh…(M/n) (L/n)?”
“Yes. She’s a part of Animal Kingdom? Do you know where that’s being filmed?”
“Oh! I know there’s a zoo around here called Animal Kingdom! I don’t think you’ll find it in a film studio, though.”
(Y/n) frowned. “...No, I mean the show. Aren’t they filming in a warehouse today? Do you know where that is?”
“Who’s ‘they’?”
Her eye twitched, and she was just about ready to drown the entire studio in the nearest ocean. “N-Nevermind, I’ll just-”
As if the universe wasn’t satisfied with tormenting her enough, the security guard suddenly launched up into the air and flew into the sky. Right before her eyes, the heavens were coated with explosives of every color that ever existed.
“Oh my god!” (Y/n) yelled. ‘Who strapped fireworks on that guy?!’
“Oh, I knew you’d love it!”
Her eyes were ripped from the loud fireworks show as she was immediately smothered in a hug. “It’s so nice that another girl’s here! All the other ones here are either too busy or just keep shouting about a restraining order for some reason. I dunno, but anyway, I just know you're gonna love it here! Anyway, my name’s Princess Angelina Louisa Cantessa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the third! But since we're friends now, you can just call me Dot.”
This confirmed it. This was a trap set up by her mother to deliberately drive her insane, because how else can someone explain the nut jobs and talking dogs in pink dresses?
A combination of those two things happened to be clutching her head and digging her face into hers. “...Huh?” (Y/n) mumbled.
‘Dot’ jumped off of her and smiled widely. “Sorry about Ralph by the way. I figured out you were coming at the last second and I really needed someone for your welcoming gift.” she said.
(Y/n) glanced up at the sky where the fireworks were slowly dying down. “Um...Is he gonna be okay?” she asked.
“Of course he will!” her backpack said.
The teen screamed and threw her bag on the ground. A hand popped out and unzipped it with impossible ease, then a taller boy version of Dot jumped out, pulling up his long brown pants and flashing a grin.
“H-...H-H-How did you…?!” (Y/n) stuttered, pointing at him.
“What? Never heard of cartoon logic?” he said, approaching her. “And Ralph’ll be fine. His skull’s so thick, concrete’s the last thing that can kill him.”
“What-?”
“Anyhow,” he walked over to Dot and put an arm over her shoulder, “The name’s Yakko, this here’s my beloved baby sister Dot, and this is-” He stopped, staring at the empty space to his left. He leaned into Dot, whispering, “Say, uh, you don't mind looking for Wakko, do ya sis?”
Dot glanced at (Y/n) for an uncomfortable moment and suddenly shot her brother a glare. "I've got eyes all over this studio, Yakko," she warned, slowly stepping away.
Now (Y/n) certainly knew she didn't see pairs of eyes appear around every inch of her sight. 'Oh god, I didn't breath in drugs on the way here, did I? Actually, that would explain whatever the heck's going on.'
Yakko smiled as he watched his sister leave and turned to (Y/n). He walked closer to her, and she realized that his half-lidded eyes had a strange glint in them. “Sooo, your name’s (Y/n), right? A pretty name for a pretty girl.”
(Y/n)’s face heated up. ‘First I get lost, then see a guy get blown up, and now some other guy’s flirting with me? ...To be honest, this is still better than what Mom had planned for today.’
“So what brings ya’ here?” he asked.
“O-Oh, well, my Mom was supposed to give me a tour of the studio, but I’ve been giving that to myself all day. I tried finding her, but I’m pretty sure I’m nowhere near it by now.” Her eyes wandered over to the ground, but a realization made them perk back up and over to Yakko. “Hey, do you happen to know this place by any chance?”
“Know it? Please, my sibs and I live here, we know this place by heart and soul!” He mumbled something else, along the lines of “Basically made our hearts and souls”.
Her heart jumped; finally, a piece of good news. “Really?” she said, a smile spreading across her face.
He nodded. “So where do ya’ need to go?” Before she could answer, he pulled out a piece of folded paper and moved in so close, their shoulders were smooshed together. Yakko unfolded it, and it turned out to be the biggest map (Y/n) has ever seen. “Well, from here, you’re gonna need to take a right and continue straight until you get to the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts exhibit. But be careful, I heard some of them escaped, and if anyone asks if you’ve seen any of them, don’t tell them I gave one to Dot as a late birthday gift. Anyway, you take a left from there, then a right where you’ll see the lot where they used to shoot Game of Thrones. Now this is only a rumour I’ve heard, but I think some of the producers are still on that set. If you happen to see them, do not, I repeat, DO NOT mention season eight, or maybe just don’t mention the show at all. Actually, don’t even look at them. As a matter of fact, you probably shouldn’t even go there at all, just keep heading straight until you get to the D.C. Universe lot. Then you just take left there, then a sharp right over over, then you keep going straight until you get to here, turn up over there, turn right there, and then you’re there. Did ya’ follow all that?”
(Y/n) stared at his face, which was practically radiating with enthusiasm, and she felt her eye twitch again. “...No,” she said, shaking her head.
His smile dimmed, but it became just as bright as the sun again a split-second later. “Ah well, maps are gettin' old anyways,” he said, throwing the map over his shoulder. “WAKKO!!”
And, low and behold, another anthropomorphic dog popped out of nowhere, and (Y/n) was starting to question if there was an army of them hidden somewhere. But she had to admit, it was pretty cute how this one was dressed in an oversized blue sweater and red hat.
“Tablet, please,” Yakko said politely, holding out his hand.
‘You're not gonna walk me there-?'
Wakko suddenly held his head back with his cheeks puffed out, then leaned into Yakko’s hand as he forced out a small object from his mouth. After an incredibly uneasy moment, a tablet glazed in spit was in Yakko's grasp. While he praised the little guy, (Y/n) forced back the urge to vomit.
“E-Ehhhh…?” She couldn’t say anything else while her gaze frantically went back and forth from Wakko and the regurgitated tablet.
“Oh! Where are my manners?” Yakko said. “(Y/n), this is my dear little brother, Wakko. Wakko, this here’s our new special friend, (Y/n).”
“Hello!” Wakko greeted, who was suddenly in her arms. “You’re really pretty!”
“Ehh? Thank you? I guess??” she said apprehensively, and finally managed to make eye contact. Despite his...quirks, he's actually a little adorable... She let herself grin a little.
The moment of semi-peace was ruined when she took notice of Yakko’s narrowed eyes. “ALrighty, (Y/n)!” he said loudly, grabbing his little brother by the collar and gently setting him on the ground. “Animal Kingdom, right? Let’s get ya’ right over there.” He moved right beside her and taped the screen a couple times.
“Um, what’re you doing exactly?” she asked.
“Doing what every person does to get somewhere nowadays.” He grabbed her waist and pulled her against him, and (Y/n) flinched from his touch. “Please keep your arms, legs, and personal items inside the tablet at all times.”
Just when she was about to question him for the hundredth time, he pressed the screen again, and her vision became nothing but white. Her body felt like it was launched into a tornado; a strong force of wind thrusted her back, and somehow, the boy’s arm kept her from flying off from his side. A second later, her feet were back on the ground, the sky was where it needed to be, and reality was back in place.
Except for (Y/n)’s mentality.
She stumbled around, trying to find her balance as the world unbearably whirled around her. Finally, she shook her head, and quickly turned back towards Yakko, whose face tried to tell her whatever happened was perfectly fine and normal.
“What was THAT?” she yelled, staggering towards him and gripping his shoulders.
And he still had the audacity to have that 'why-are-you-freaking-out-so-much-we-do-this-every-Friday' smile. “Thank you for attending Warner’s Travel Tours! I would say my Agent Ralph’ll take your bags, but I left him alone with my sibs, so he’s probably in the middle of the Pacific Ocean by now.”
(Y/n) could only stare at him. Her mind was twisting and turning, trying so hard to make any sense of what happened but only making her headache grow larger and larger. And then, her thoughts just went blank.
She smirked. Then giggled. And a few seconds later, she had burst out laughing whilst holding her stomach. (Y/n) looked back up at Yakko, wiping a tear from her eye. “Th-Thank you…” she said, catching her breath.
His smile had grown and she thought his white cheeks were red for a moment. Yakko had opened his mouth, but whatever he was about to say was cut off by a net suddenly covering his entire body. Ralph was behind him, his skin and clothes burnt and ears practically smoking. “You’re coming with me, Warner!” he said.
And yet, Yakko only grinned. Like physics was his enemy, he disappeared from inside the net and appeared sprouting from the security guard’s back, cheerfully waving at (Y/n). “I’ll see ya’ around, yeah?” he said, then ran around the corner with Ralph sprinting right after him.
(Y/n) giggled and reached for the straps around her back. But when she only felt the (f/c) fabric of her shirt, her smile dropped, and a deep sigh escaped her lips. “Great…” she whispered.
“(Y/N)!”
She gasped as a pair of arms squeezed the life out of her. Her mother spun her around to face her gleaming smile, which was immediately replaced by an apologetic frown. “I’m so sorry I didn’t get your texts! That scene took forever, but I’m glad you found your way here! You’re so smart! Anyway, I know we don’t get as much time now, but there’s still so much we’ll be able to see!...”
She rambled on and on and on and on. Her daughter’s shoulders slumped and she followed her to where she wanted her to go, but the frown on her face didn’t last long when she remembered the fun she had just a few seconds ago. ‘Maybe this summer won’t be that bad.’

hcs series detailing what it is like to be a manager for the various haikyuu teams
karasuno | seijoh |
Tumblr media
warnings - swearing
word count - 2.1k
you weren't immune to oikawa's charms, but being friends with him since middle school meant you were the least likely in the school to fall for him (you were also the least likely person he would mess with in that way, especially as iwaizumi would happily punch him for the trouble)
this meant you were a perfect candidate for manager of the team
when you all been first years, the team had come up to you and begged
ultimately, it had been iwaizumi who had finally convinced you (the sight of him almost begging you would be forever ingrained in your mind. boy did not want to be the only one responsible for oikawa)
by the time you reached your third year, you were immensely glad that you had agreed to manage the team
at times, it had been tough. dealing with oikawa's jealous fangirls often felt like a full time job. the amount of times you had sprinted into the club room to the shock of the team was ridiculous
one day, you had dived through the door, yelling for then to shut and lock the door as you crashed to the floor
iwaizumi had been by your side in an instant, worried gaze assessing you for injuries. when you let out a wince, rubbing at you arm, he was automatically assessing it for damage
"it's not broken," he assured you, giving your head an affection pat before his gaze turned to oikawa, eyes narrowing. "call your fucking fangirls off, shittykawa"
"i've tried," he whined, giving you an apologetic look. "clearly their love for me is too strong"
"maybe if they actually spoke to you, they'd realise what a crap personality you have," sighed matsukawa, slapping oikawa on the back affectionately and then holding the hand up to receive a high five from hanamaki
slowly, hesitantly, you moved over to the door, pressing your ear to the surface. through the wood, you could the girls, their high-pitched voices grating at your nerves
“i really fucking hate them,” you grumbled, moving away to sit on the floor beside hanamaki, who wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you leaned against his shoulder. “why did i let you convince me to join this club?”
this was directed to iwaizumi, who had the good idea to look sheepish. oikawa, on the other hand, collapsed down on the floor in front of you and spread out his arms. “because you love us, y/n-chan”
“not you,” you scoffed, poking him in the chest. he pouted
“that’s no way to talk to your childhood friend”
“it is when they have a swarm of jealous fangirls after you”
oikawa looked like he was about to reply, but a clip to the ear by iwaizumi was enough to distract him. he turned to his friend with a cry of outrage, beginning to bicker with the ace
while you would usually tell them to shut up, pull them apart, you couldn’t really be bothered. breaking up fights was for when you were on duty. training hadn’t started yet so you figured you could let them bicker
the second years clashed less than the third years but sometimes you were needed to break up the fights, particularly when kyoutani made a return to the team
while he was away, you had been one of the only ones who checked up on him, always telling him that if he needed to talk, if he was struggling with anything, you would be there
therefore, he had a lot of respect for you, placing you on a similar level to iwaizumi (the only member of the team who could get away with telling him what to do or scolding him angrily)
this meant that, when you appeared in front of him, placing a placating hand on his chest, his hackles would lower and he would back away, though the glare would remain on his face
truth be told, kyoutani was a little bit scared of you suddenly exploding on him, especially after the way you had snapped at him when he had first pulled off a risky play in practice
you had seen red when he had pushed kindaichi out of the way to spike the ball, marching over and grabbing him by the top to drag him away. it was the first time they had ever seen him apologise
while kyoutani respected you, the relationship you had with him was very different with the one you had with the other second years. kyoutani would never invite you to lunch. watari and yahaba on the other hand...
your week is not complete without a lunch with them. you aren’t even sure when you managed to form such a strong friendship with them, but it was likely when you agreed to help them in maths (it’s not yahaba’s strong point and he begged watari to join him)
you are the one responsible for stopping yahaba showing off, particularly when the gym floods with fangirls, most of them there to watch oikawa
he will flip his hair and affect an air very similar to oikawa which will frustrate you to no end. you will drag him off court by the ear, telling him to stop, threatening him with extra conditioning
matsukawa and hanamaki will definitely start snickering at the way his face reddens, focused more on this than the fact that they are meant to be improving their serves
you can always trust watari to help you out, no matter how much you insist that you don’t need it. he is the first to volunteer to help you set up the court, to help you carry the equipment for away games
now, the first years. if iwaizumi is the team dad, you are the mum
you dote on kindaichi and kunimi, trying to keep them away from matsukawa’s and hanamaki’s influence. you don’t want them to be corrupted by the pair. iwaizumi will help you but even he sees little point in stopping the inevitable
kindaichi was very awkward around you at the start. his brain couldn’t comprehend that a pretty girl was talking to him, let alone asking if he was okay, if he needed a drink
eventually, kindaichi relaxes. you are the one he turns to when he has a problem, explaining it all to you. if it involves another team member, you will encourage him to tell them, not wanting there to be fractures in the team. after all, aoba johsai thrives because of their great teamwork
kunimi is, as usual, very relaxed around you
most of the time, he barely acknowledges your fussing, simply waving you away and heading back onto the court to resume practice
however, if he wants to slack off (which he does often), it will be you he makes eye contact with. you know you shouldn’t condone this behaviour but, occasionally, you allow it. he promises he will pull through for the game and you believe him, though you do explain that if he slacks off too much it could mean risking his sport in the starting rotation
your quiet understanding is often what motivates him to keep going. he doesn’t want to disappoint you. plus, he has seen you angry and would rather not be the reason for that
oikawa is intimately familiar with your anger. the boy just seems to do everything possible to piss you off. what angers you most is the apparent disregard for his own health, but you don't take this out on him physically
you and iwaizumi team up to handle him, with both of you favouring a more violent approach (sometimes that's the only way to knock some sense into oikawa's brain)
while iwaizumi will throw either oikawa or various items such as volleyballs at him, you tend to favour a good old-fashioned slap to the back of the head
he always knows you're coming, his whole body tensing at the sound of your footsteps drawing closer to him. oikawa is almost more scared of you than iwaizumi, probably because you are more cold fury than fiery anger
that first night iwaizumi had asked you to stay behind after practice with him, your heart almost broke at the sight of oikawa pushing himself
you saw the sweat, watched him stumble, clutch at his damaged knee... but despite the pain, he kept pushing
as you watched, you grasped iwaizumi's hand, who was tense beside you, needing the physical anchor as much as you
"why does he do this to himself?" you questioned, watching as oikawa pushed up from the floor, landing awkwardly on his feet. still, he kept pushing
iwaizumi didn't bother to answer. the answer was obvious, and you both knew what it was. he needed to get better, for the team, for himself, for revenge
"if he keeps going like that, his knee will be permanently damaged and he can say goodbye to a volleyball career," said iwaizumi, jaw tight. hand still in yours, he marched onto the court
he finally released your hand to grab oikawa by the shirt and yank him away. his voice was a low growl as he spoke, "don't fucking complain. we've been here long enough and you're going home before you regret it"
"you're so... urgh, do you want to make me lose my mind with worry, tooru?" you sigh, wrapping an arm around his waist, more to reassure yourself that he was fine than to other support. he slung an arm over your shoulder, leaning on you slightly with iwaizumi at his other side
"didn't think you cared, y/n-chan," he teased, giving you an affectionate squeeze. you caught eyes with iwaizumi, rolling your own at oikawa's words
"of course i care. we both do"
from that night on, you and iwaizumi took turns watching oikawa, stopping him when it became clear that he was doing too much
on the nights when you had to watch him, you would sit in the corner of the gym on a video chat with matsukawa and hanamaki as you tried to do some homework (to be honest, you spent most of your time joking around and chatting, but the thought was there)
oikawa, though he never showed it, was grateful for you and iwaizumi's worry. it put a check on him which he would never admit to wanting, but needed desperately
on weekends, you and the third years will always meet up, be it to do homework or just watch a movie at someone's house
movie nights tend to be quite messy (it's not uncommon to be picking popcorn out of your hair at the end)
one time, you had fallen asleep on iwaizumi's shoulder only to wake up to his head flopped against yours and a snickering oikawa and hanamaki. the pair had taken great joy in drawing a moustache and beard on your faces, while matsukawa took photos (he's usually the one who takes your group photos and sends them to everyone at the end)
managing the team is mainly fun, though it does have its cursed moments
you weren't ashamed to admit that you cried, along with the rest of the third years, when you left
however, the tears did not stop you from giving your kouhais some strongly-worded advice
yahaba was warned to not think with his dick and to try his very best to not intimidate oikawa in his quest for some fangirls
kyoutani was told that you were only a phone call away and would not hesitate to scold him if he let his anger take control over his playing style
honestly, the only thing you wished watari was luck. he'd need it, especially as there was no manager to support them next year
kunimi you told to slack off less, though you wouldn't hold it against him if he did sneak off for a little nap during the school day so long as he was energised for volleyball
with kindaichi, you simply gave him a hug and told him to keep trying his best, to not beat himself up over every mistake he made
it was oikawa who insisted on a big group hug, pulling you and a rather disgruntled iwaizumi into his arms, the rest of the team happily bundling in
and, as you hugged each other, you were thankful iwaizumi had convinced you to join the team because you knew you had made friends for life

THE PURGE; Sanctuary C.E x black reader

60 Days Until The Purge
THEN...
"I'll order take out. I know you like Thai-"
"Don't order anything. I'm actually not even hungry." You said as he took your bag and put it on his shoulder. "What?" He was looking at you weird and it made you frown.
"Where's the rest of your stuff?"
"You asked me to stay the night. That is my overnight bag." You replied folding your arms and walking over to the couch. Your hand touched your forehead and you sighed. You could still feel him looking at you as you tried to relax with your head leaned back. "After I tell Shonda about our situation, you're signing the papers."
"What do you mean-"
"You know what I mean." You shot back
"Ok, well theirs a lot to consider now." He motioned to your stomach and you sat up straight. "We're having a baby, now."
"No no no." You shook your head feeling your petty insides bubble a bit in sarcasm. "I'm having a baby. Me. Just me.”
"Obviously I want to be apart of our baby's life." Chris argued back and you frowned and scoffed. He put your bag down and crossed his arms as you brushed it off. "You can't seriously think I won't. V that's insane."
"You wanna know what's insane? You think you're gonna get anywhere near it. Why in the hell would I allow you and your broken promises anywhere near my child? Do you think I'm stupid? To make the same mistake twice!"
"Again? V what do you want me to do?" He asks throwing his hands up. "Acting is what I do, that's my job-"
"I don't care about that. I'm not asking you to chose your job or me-"
"It damn well near sounds like it. I would never make you choose." He countered back and you gripped your fists together.
"You may not have said it directly, but there have been many times where you have indirectly patronized me. I just found out I'm pregnant and I have been trying so hard to deal with it." you replied watching him pace back and forth and shake his head. "I have been getting the worst headaches, I can't keep any food down and I literally get lightheaded on set every single day because hiding my pregnancy has been a real joy ride." You replied sarcastically with a small chuckle
"What do you want me to do? I tell you to tell the producers, you get mad. I tell you to take a break, you get mad. I tell you to come over and you’re mad.” Chris said in disbelief. “I don't know what you want from me." He shrugs brushing the hair from his eyes.
"Not once since you found out have you asked me how I'm doing? My whole career is at risk I could lose my job. And you don't even seem to care.” You said
"V, I do care." He reached for your shoulder and you took in another breath. "I want you to stop worrying all the time. And you're right, I should be concerned more about you. I should be there for you-I should've been there for you in the beginning.” He admitted and you folded your lips again.
Are For real this time? Should I let it go and move past it? Again? No because it'll start all over again.
"This baby is mine. This is a life changing thing that's happening, I can't let you ruin it too." You spoke
" I'm taking responsibility because this is something I want. Ok? Can't we find some common ground? You of all people should know what it's like to grow up without a father!"
"You know too!" You shouted back. Chris' dad had died when he was younger. He talked about him sometimes but not as much. "I'd rather have had my father six feet under then to have him choosing when it's convenient for him to show up!" You said with your foot down shaking your head.
"Forget the divorce. Me and you living here happily married for the years to come. Whats so bad about that? Why can't I have that? What's so wrong with the picture of two parents raising a child?" His voice was loud and he was getting frustrated. He didn't shout, but you could tell how passionate he was about it. He always wanted to be a daddy, a parent. "Huh?"
"It's not just about you!" You said stepping closer. "Because..." You shrugged feeling your eyes water as you suck in your cheeks. "I knew the kind of man I was marrying. So involved with his job it took him almost fifteen years to actually start dating. It's not about you or your career. This baby is all I have right now.”
He looked confused as he relaxed his brow and pinched the bridge of his nose. From two feet away you could feel his heartbeat and you felt a little bad for how foolish you probably looked. You still loved him, not like you ever stopped, but you remembered that you still loved him.
Because, it's not about me either anymore. You thought
"Forget the papers okay..." You said swallowing your own pride. "just forget it. You’re right. I want our child to have two parents who will love him unconditionally. But it has to stop, because it takes two. I can't have you with one foot in the door." You admitted
“Yeah yeah.” He nodded “yeah I get that. I’m not going anywhere.” Chris said and you walked forward and took his hand kissing his palm as you placed it on the side of your face. “I promise V.” He cups your face and stares into your eyes. His stubble poking at you a bit as you held his wrists.
“I love you.” You said with a small smile
“Still?” He laughed making you roll your eyes as you giggled a little. “I love you too. Are you sure you aren’t hungry?” He asks again
“Yes.” You nodded “now shut up and come take a nap with me.”
NOW....
CHRIS POV**
“Damnit! Damnit! Damnit!” I said throwing the phone on the couch. I had called five times and her phone went straight to voicemail.
“This is not a test, this is your Emergency Broadcast System. Announcing the commencement of the annual purge sanctioned by the U.S. Government. ALL Weapons have been authorized for use during the purge. Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity and shall not be harmed. Commencing at the siren, any and all crime (including murder) will be legal for 121 days. Police, fire, and Emergency Medical services will be unavailable until December 15, 12:00 o’clock midnight, when the purge concludes. Blessed be our new founding fathers and America... A nation reborn. May God be with you all.”
My tv was replayed the message nine more times before shutting off. I swallowed the lump in my throat. Today is august 15, Vanessa’s birthday is tomorrow which was when she’d be 17 weeks. We had marked it on the calendar together. More than half my wife’s pregnancy would be spent during the purge. I needed to find her!
I didn’t support the purge. Something about killing people to be “cleansed” just didn’t sit right in my gut. It made my heart ache thinking about the clean up at the end. I could bring Dodger, but he can only do so much. Maybe he could help track her scent. Grabbing my coat I folded my lips together.
“Fuck!” I shout
With what weapon? How was I going to run the streets looking for my wife without a gun? I loved the idea of owning one, but Vanessa made me swear not to bring one in the house if she was there. So I just dropped the idea. Looking in the kitchen I grabbed one of the Chef knives off the rack. Maybe this would be enough for now...
“Damnit!” I curse looking at Dodger. “She said she was at Topanga Park. Start there?” I asked, as if he’d answer back. I grabbed her bonnet from off the bathroom door handle and stuffed it in my backpack.
I didn’t hesitate l. I locked up everything and jumped inside my truck. Dodger sat on the passenger side and I felt my hands start to shake as I put my foot on the gas. I started to promise god I would go to church if he would keep her safe.
“I don’t even know if you’re even listening or you even care. I love her, I’ve been such and idiot and I don’t wanna lose her.” I looked at Dodger and he was sitting up straight. “I remember you didn’t like her. You wouldn’t let her anywhere near me, you bark and squeeze yourself in between us when we sat down in the room to watch movies.” I chuckle wiping the little tear that slipped from my eye “You stole one of her wigs too.”
“WHAT THE FUCK!” she shouted chasing you around the house. “DODGER GIVE IT BACK! COME BACK!”
We chased him around the house and Dodger thought it was some sort of game. We had been officially dating for a month. I had started laughing when I caught him and held her headband wig in my hand. She stood their with her arms folded while I petted his head and she rolled her eyes.
"I told you he doesn't like me." She said as I stood up and she took the wig from my hand.
"Come on, he's just getting used to you."
"I've been over here every day. Your dog hates me."
"What?" I tilted my head to the side and touch her nose with my index finger. "Deal breaker? If my dog doesn't like my girlfriend, I'm gonna dump her? Tell me where that makes sense."
She walked closer to me and wrapped her arms around my waist looking up at the ceiling as I kissed her neck. "I guess you have a point." Vanessa sighed.
"He's just warming up to you that's all."
"What's stopping me from breaking up with you?"
"Over a dog?"
"This is his third assault against me. First it was tearing up my purse, then chewing up my crocs, not to mention the little shit I found inside of them. And now stealing my wig and playing cat and mouse." Said Vanessa as I rested my head on top of hers. "Luckily this is a backup wig."
“Aren’t you wearing one right now?” I asked
“Headband wig. And that wig your dog has destroyed,” she gave him the side eye “it was my favorite and expensive.” She gritted her teeth
“I’ll buy you another one.” I offered
She purses her lips and shook her head. “I don’t want you buying me anything. I’ll just break up with you. For real this time.”
"Fine then..." I baited her shrugging my shoulders. "Break up with me."
“Over a dog?” She frowns mocking me as I smile down at her and her eyebrows bend downward a little as she caressed my face. Her finger was gentle and she stood on her top toes and kissed my lips. “Never.”
...
I look over at Dodger and pat his head. "We'll find her. I know we will." I say trying to lift my spirits.
When we arrived to Topanga Park, it was a sight. I didn't even want to leave the truck. I felt my heart race a little more. "What the hell..."
In the middle of traffic-in between the cars were bodies. Dodger started barking at the train of blood that stained the streets. It was empty, but I could feel a heavy weight on my back. Walking behind me, next to me...it was all around me. I hadn't realized I had my hand over my mouth an nose, it was hard for me to breath as the stench of dead bodies. Dodger kept barking and that led to me chasing after him. I had her bonnet in one hand and I called after him.
I came to a halt when I came face to face with another person. He had Dodger in his hands and I felt my muscle tense up. He was tall and very familiar looking. I swallowed the lump in my throat and held the kitchen knife in my hand with a firm grip.
"Captain America?"
I tilted my head sideways and licked my lower lip narrowing my brow a little. "Yeah, give me the dog and we can go our separate ways. Ok?"
He nodded his head. He ran his fingers through his hair and put the dog down. I wasn't really concerned about who he was I was trying to prepare for a fight. He dropped his gun on the ground and held up his his hand.
"I'm not going to kill you. I'm looking for my wife." He said "She left her watch in that building." He pointed to the school and slowly pulled the watch from his pocket.
"In there?" I asked
"Yeah." He nodded, but I still couldn't shake the feeling I knew him from somewhere. "My name is Jared. My wife's name is Gianne, I'm pretty sure she was with someone else-are you looking for someone too? Maybe we could help each other. There was something written on the chalkboard in there, I wasn't something Gia would write, but she was here. All I wanna do is find her-"
"Supernatural?" I asked turning my head to the side. Vanessa loved that show. Whenever she had spare time she would watch it or on those many night she'd spend the night at my house we would watch it-well not really watch it. The Netflix and 'chill' was emphasized. "You said something about some sort of message on the wall?" I asked motioning with my hand. "what did it say?"
"um, CE equals BE or something like that." He shrugged
I laughed a little. Vanessa Evans plus Chris Evans equals Baby Evans. It was a stupid joke-an Easter egg if you will. Shonda put in the show on the whiteboard in one of our love scenes as a way to announce our pregnancy to the audience. She often left clues to the next episode in every episode except this one was not only in the show but in real life.
"Chris Evans." I say extending my hand out to him. I'm pretty sure he knew by the little smile playing on his face. He shook my hand and nodded his head.
"I know. I'm a big marvel fan, I know all your lines." Jared chuckled and then cleared his throat as he nervously laughed. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jared Padalecki - I know I said that already..."
I introduced him to Dodger and I felt a little more relaxed. I gathered that she was alive and we both came to the assumption that they were traveling together.
"Where do you think their headed?" I asked as we walked to his car which was tricked out and full of ammunition and guns. Not to mention government level protective gear.
"While I was in there, I picked up someone else. Heavy footed and big, traveling with dogs. Hair everywhere." He went on tossing me a bullet proof vest. "You heard of Sanctuary?"
"The safety place? Yeah, but it's hard to find. It's for people who get caught in the Purge right?"
He narrowed his brow and shook his head. "No." Said Jared sharply. "Sanctuary is a secret government funded task force. It started off as a conspiracy some myth to explain all the random disappearances throughout the year. It's a government project designed for population control." He went on
"Ok...what does that have anything to do with the Purge?"
"Everything. An organization designed to control the US population. We're talking Pro killers who were once on a leash, but when that horn sounded and the Purge began, they are just as free to kill anyone they want." Said Jared handing me an ipad. It was a list of celebrities. From pro athletes like Steph Curry and their immediate families to movie stars and singers like Rhianna and Tom Cruise. "There are rumors that they are hunting celebrities. The kardashians and Jenner's are fair game. If not the stars themselves then they choose their parents, brothers and sisters."
"And do what?" I asked quietly as I saw mine and Vanesssa picture
"Most get auctioned off to the highest bidder, I've also heard they kill them on the spot for money or bring them in to fight for the death. Bottom line, there is a bounty on our heads. During the Purge everyone is fair game, their is no protection."
"You're telling me she's out there being hunted by them right now?" I asked
“Possibly. The dog hair isn’t a breed we know. They are a combination of hunting canines, bloodhound, foxhound, Labrador retriever with the built and aggression of a something like a pit bull a Rottweiler.” Said Jared as I looked up from the iPad and gave it back. “You’re gonna need more than a kitchen knife. We find the dogs and the hunter and we’ll find them.”
He held a gun out to me and wiped my mouth with the palm of my hand trying to mentally prepare for what is to come."
“Do you believe in the Purge?” I asked still questioning why his car was full of weapons. “You kill people?”
He nodded his head. “Yes. I don’t believe in hiding or waiting for someone to kill me. We all have the right to Purge."
"What's stopping you from killing me?"
Jared sighed and shook his head. "I'm hunting them. I'm surviving and if you decide to threaten my survival, then I'll kill you." He went over to the driver side of his Ford charger. "Get in. Knowing Gia she is headed for Roberts hole."
"What's that?" I asked climbing in the passenger seat of the car.
“It’s a Cassino for celebrities. Jack Black owns it. It’s locked up right but open to his favorites during the Purge.”
“They’ll be there?”
“Relax.” He out his hand in my shoulder and looked at me as dodger sat in the back seat. “We will find them. You know how to shoot don’t you?” Jared raised his gun in the air and nodded my head.
I guess it wasn’t confidently and he chuckled. “Vanessa isn’t a fan of guns.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll practice. Ok?”

30 minutes. That's how long you had spent anxiously perched in front of your computer, waiting for the familiar ring of the video call to echo through the speakers. You cycled between scrolling through social media, checking your reflection in the camera, and debating on whether or not to text Wonwoo. You understood that he was busy; it wasn't unusual for either of you to call a few minutes later than you had originally planned. But Wonwoo had never left you hanging for this long without an explanation. Normally, your mind would begin to fixate on the worst case scenario, but Wonwoo had already cancelled on you the past two weeks because he was busy working.
The loud vibration of your phone against your desk drew you out of your thoughts, and you hurriedly picked it up and saw Wonwoo's name glowing across the screen. "Hello?" You answered quickly.
"Hey," Wonwoo's deep voice sounded through the phone. "You're gonna hate me," He chuckled.
"I could never," You replied. You already knew the next words that were going to come out of his mouth.
"I can't FaceTime tonight." He explained. Even though you saw it coming, you couldn't help the feeling of disappointment that weighed heavy on your chest.
Your eyes met with the reflection displayed on the laptop screen. It taunted you, reminding you that Wonwoo's face wouldn't be there to replace it once again. "Well, I would be a lot happier right now if you told me that half an hour ago," You laughed bitterly. Running a hand through your hair, you quietly sighed.
"I know. I'm sorry." Wonwoo apologized. His voice was laced with genuine sorrow; you could clearly picture the frown that lined his lips right now. He added after a moment of silence, "I don't wanna keep doing this to you, so I think we should change our date day. I've been working more Fridays lately."
You nodded despite him not being able to see you and hummed in agreement. "What day then?" You asked.
"I'm not sure yet. I still have to figure out my schedule. Just text me what works for you and I'll let you know soon, okay?" He sighed.
"Oh, okay... yeah." Your lips drew into a tighter line with each word he spoke.
"Okay, I have to get to get back to work right now. I'm sorry again." He continued quickly. "I love you."
"I love you too."
The three tones signaled the end of the call, and slowly you pulled the phone away from your ear. Your tired reflection stared back at you. Finally, you shut the computer for the third Friday in a row.
The remainder of the weekend passed and you had barely heard anything from Wonwoo except for the usual good morning and goodnight texts. By the time Wednesday came around, the both of you finally agreed that Saturday could be your new set day for FaceTime dates. You powered through the rest of the week, and on Saturday you excitedly set aside all the work from your classes and waited patiently for Wonwoo to call.
You really missed him. It'd been just over two months now since you last saw him in person, when you moved into your dorm at a university three hours away from the one where you and Wonwoo met. He stayed behind while you transferred to a college with a renowned journalism program. At first, you were hesitant to leave him, but Wonwoo refused to let you give up such a great opportunity just to stay close to him. That was what you loved about him: he wanted to see you be happy and successful.
Situating yourself comfortably on the bed, you pulled up some random Netflix series to entertain yourself while waiting for Wonwoo. You only half paid attention, glancing between the computer screen and your Instagram feed on your phone. Time crawled, and slowly you sunk deeper into the softness of the mattress below.
Cold, small hands shook you awake. You rubbed your eyes and sat up, disoriented. The series you were watching was still playing quietly. Your roommate, Jisoo, stood next to your bed with her arms crossed over her chest. She stared at you with a raised eyebrow. "You're passed out by 7 on a Saturday night?" A teasing smile was displayed across her face as she shut your laptop.
You suddenly realized that it was an hour past the time that Wonwoo had promised to FaceTime you. Your heart sunk in your chest as you thought about how you probably missed his call without an explanation. You picked up your phone, but quickly noticed the notification for a missed phone call from him, followed by a text that said: I'm so sorry, something came up I promise I'll call you tomorrow.
Jisoo surveyed you for a moment; a more serious expression began to cross her features. She sat down at the bottom of your bed. "Did something happen?"
You rolled your eyes and looked down at your hands. "Wonwoo cancelled on me again," You sighed, "But I shouldn't be mad at him for it. It's not his fault he's busy."
Jisoo tsked and patted your leg through the sheets. "Of course you can be upset! How many times has it been now?"
"This entire month. And he always cancels super late."
She scoffed, "See! That's shitty. If this was the first time it wouldn't have been a big deal. But four times?" She stood up quickly and opened up her wardrobe. "If he wants long distance to work, he needs to have better communication."
"Yeah, I guess." You replied. Jisoo held a black top up to her figure, observing herself in the mirror. "Where are you going?" You inquired.
"A party at the SVT frat. You know any of them?" She explained while changing her outfit.
You had heard of the frat before, but you racked your brain for any of their names and couldn't remember one. "I don't think so."
Jisoo faced you again and smiled. "Well, let's go."
You chuckled, "No way."
She pouted. "Come on. You haven't gone out with me I'm so long. You're in college!" Jisoo begged. "Just this once. You'll have fun."
Jisoo had a point. You really had nothing else better to do besides sit around and mope over Wonwoo ditching you. You let out an exhasperated sigh of defeat, "Fine, I'll go."
"Yes! Go get all cute and dressed up." She cheered.
You emerged from your bed and strolled over to your own closet. "Alright, I'll be quick."
Tumblr media
You and Jisoo walked into the party hand in hand. Immediately, the stench of weed and sweat overwhelmed you. Loud music vibrated through the walls of the house and clashed with the sounds of people cheering and yelling. An intense game of beer pong captured the attention of most people in the main room, but you could see a separate crowd gathered in the kitchen too.
"Who do you know here again?" You shouted over the music at Jisoo, not seeing a single person you recognized so far.
She leaned closer to you so you could hear. "Choi Seungcheol. I have a chemistry class with him." She scanned the room and suddenly perked up. "Oh, there he is!" She called his name and pulled you along with her towards him.
He stood against the wall with a red cup in his hand, talking with another tall boy. At the call of his name, he looked over at the two of you and smiled brightly. "Jisoo! I'm so happy you made it." He exclaimed while wrapping his arm around her lower back. Seungcheol watched you with kind eyes as you approached him. "And who is this?" He asked Jisoo.
"This is my roommate, Y/N. Y/N, this is Seungcheol." She introduced you both and you smiled and gave a small wave to the two boys.
The other boy flashed you a sweet smile that caused his eyes to form into crescents. "I'm Seokmin. I live here with Cheol." He explained.
All four of you continued to converse casually until Seungcheol pointed to you and Seokmin and said, "Hey, why don't you two go get some drinks? We'll wait here." You swore you saw a gleam of mischief in his eyes, and you quickly glanced at Jisoo to see if she noticed it too, but her expression remained neutral. This was exactly why you strayed away from parties. You wanted to avoid any encounters with flirty, drunk frat boys. But Jisoo, who was basically a mind reader, didn't react, so maybe you were just being overly paranoid.
You nodded and walked over to the kitchen, Seokmin following close behind, and watched as he began to mix some drinks together for the four of you. He let out a frustrated sigh as one of the bottles of liquor reached its end. Seokmin peeked over his shoulder and shouted, "Mingyu! Can you get me the other bottle of vodka?" You perked up at the familiar-sounding name, but couldn't remember where you had heard it before.
A moment later a presence approached you and Seokmin from behind and set the bottle down on the counter. "Now you have to make me one too," The deep voice joked. You turned around and immediately recognized the tall figure.
"Mingyu?" You called out in surprise.
His eyes dragged over and met yours. His face lit up instantly as he recognized you. "Y/N! What are you doing here?" Mingyu laughed.
Seokmin turned around and handed a cup to Mingyu with a raised eyebrow. "You guys know each other?" He questioned.
You grabbed your own cup and took a sip of the bittersweet mixture. "Yeah, we have a digital media class together." You said before smirking at Mingyu. "I didn't think you were the frat boy type."
Mingyu rested his right hand on the counter beside you, almost trapping you in between the wood and his body. "I guess I'm just full of surprises," He replied.
You felt your heart flutter in your chest at his flirty response. This was a whole new side of him that you had never seen before in class. Granted, he was most likely tipsy and maybe even a bit high, but in class he was usually polite and reserved. He cracked jokes with you sometimes, but you never expected him to be so bold. On top of that, he always had his hair styled back neatly. Now, his dark hair fell over his forehead in messy curls. His skin was sheathed in a light layer of sweat, and the muscles in his arms and chest were suddenly more prominent under his white tee in the dim light of the house. You had to admit, he was ridiculously attractive.
"I'm gonna go give this to Cheol and Jisoo," Seokmin interrupted before leaving the kitchen with both cups in his hands.
Silently, you started behind him and Mingyu walked with you. "So what are you doing here?" He asked again as the two of you rounded the corner and entered the living room.
"My roommate was invited and made me go with her," You told him. You continued to sip your drink, basking in the warm feeling that the alcohol left in your chest.
"Makes sense. I didn't expect you to be a party girl." He teased. His arm slowly snaked around your waist and squeezed your hip lightly. Your skin tingled beneath his touch but you didn't give him any physical reaction, opting to just ignore the grip he had on you.
Your jaw dropped in a fake gasp. "You think I'm boring or something?" You narrowed your eyes at him and he chuckled.
"I never said that," He responded with a smirk on his lips.
Seungcheol and Jisoo had migrated from the spot where they previously stood, so you scanned the crowded room for the long haired girl. Finally you noticed her sitting close to Seungcheol on the couch. You could see they were laughing about something and considering Seokmin wasn't hovering near them anymore either, you decided to leave them be.
Mingyu noticed where you were looking and raised his eyebrows at you when you turned back to look at him. "Well, I guess my roommate is busy," You rolled your eyes.
You had forgotten about Mingyu's hand on your waist until he squeezed it again. "Good thing you have me then," He bantered. Your skin flushed; you slightly leaned into his touch. It had been so long since you felt someone else's hands roam across your body. You missed the feeling.
Mingyu slowly pulled your body closer to his until your chest was centimeters away. You gulped and dragged your eyes up to meet his. He stared at you intensely, his other hand coming up to caress your cheek. Your breathing hitched as he ran his thumb over your bottom lip. "You're so pretty," He muttered. It felt like fire had lit up your entire body. Your nerves tingled and your brain felt fuzzy and you hated to admit it but you could feel arousal growing between your legs. Somehow Mingyu pulled you even closer than before and you felt his hard cock brush against your thigh through his jeans. His tongue darted out against his lips and he inched his face towards yours. "Can I kiss you?" He whispered just inches away from you lips.
Guilt imprisoned you as soon as he said those words. They reminded you of where you were, and what you were planning on doing. You closed your eyes and pulled yourself out of his grasp. "I have a boyfriend," You admitted briskly.
Mingyu stared at you in confusion. "What?"
Shame overtook you. Wonwoo had trusted you to remain loyal, and here you were at a frat party, leading on some poor boy from your class.
Mingyu lightly grabbed your wrist. "Hey, I'm sorry. I should've asked-" He started, but you quickly cut him off.
"No, I'm sorry. This is my fault." You apologized and pulled your wrist out of his grasp. You looked at him; he stared at you with a sorrowful gaze. The regret on your face was evident and he knew that he had helped in bringing this guilt upon you.
"I- I have to go do something," You added before turning around and darting towards the door. You didn't bother to turn around or look for Jisoo, you just needed to get out of there as fast as possible. Once you were outside, you inhaled a sharp breath and pulled out your phone to call for an Uber. You waited near the street, sending a text to Jisoo to let her know that you felt sick and went home while you waited.
Eventually the Uber pulled up and you hurriedly sat down and told the driver where to go. You breathed a sigh of relief as they finally pulled away from the frat.
The drive was short, but you spent every one of those few minutes replaying the night's events in your mind. Your flesh still tingled in the places where Mingyu had touched you. Guilt haunted you, but you attempted to lessen that burden by reasoning with yourself. You missed Wonwoo. A lot. You missed hearing his voice and seeing his face and of course feeling his touch against your skin. You hadn't been fucked in over two months now, so it was no wonder that any bit of physical affection would have such a strong effect on you. What mattered is that you stopped it before anything happened. You could live with that, you decided. All you had to do now was just clear up things with Mingyu next week, deal with any awkwardness between you two, and focus on Wonwoo.
When you arrived at your dorm, you quickly changed your clothes, cleansing yourself of the faint smell of weed and the remnants of Mingyu's touch. Not long after, exhaustion began to take over your body. You laid down on the bed, not even bothering to check your phone before closing your eyes and letting sleep overcome you.
You weren't sure what time you fell asleep, but you awoke some time later and glanced at the clock. 11:54 PM. You stretched your arms behind your head and yawned as you scanned the room. Jisoo was still gone. You closed your eyes again and tried to fall back asleep, but your mind began to race.
You could clearly picture Mingyu's lust-filled eyes staring down at you, his hands running over your waist and pulling you towards the heat of his body. The glow of his skin, the messy curls hanging over his forehead, the fullness of his lips as he asked in his husky voice if he could kiss you—the images and sensations swirled around in your thoughts.
In a half asleep daze, you rubbed your thighs together. Friction built between your legs. You groaned quietly as your mind revisited how you felt when Mingyu's hands were on your body. More arousal began to pool in your heat, your underwear clinging to your wetness.
Languidly, you ran your hand down your stomach and toyed with the hem of your underwear before slowly pulling the fabric down your legs. You imagined Mingyu's sharp eyes staring at you from between your thighs as you ran your fingers through your slick folds. Arousal coated your fingers and you began to rub your clit in slow circles. You pretended that Mingyu's thick fingers were the ones teasing your clit, making your legs jolt each time you pressed the right spot.
You moaned quietly and began to grope your own breast. You squeezed and flicked your nipple, causing a quiet gasp to fall from your lips. You pulled your hand away from your clit and slowly pushed two fingers into your dripping heat. "Mmh, Mingyu," You groaned under your breath. You imagined his deep voice saying the dirtiest things to you as he pumped and curled his fingers into your pussy.
You gasped as you hit a particular spot that made you arch your lower back. You continued pumping your fingers at a fast pace until the knot building in your lower stomach snapped. Your eyes rolled back and you let out a sharp whine as an intense feeling of euphoria washed over your body.
Your body relaxed against the sheets as your heart rate began to slow and exhaustion overtook you once again. You sighed contently and wrapped yourself in your blankets, allowing yourself to drift off to sleep.
You promised yourself that you would never do that again.

SAUDADE
( 𝐧 . ) a nostalgic longing to be near again to something or someone that is distant , or that has been loved and then lost ; “ the love that remains ”
Tumblr media
⠀"you've been silent ever since we got here." your eyes lazily met hajime's, which were strained with concern and confusion. "c'mon, if i'm paying, then you gotta at least tell me what's on your mind." he solidified his statement by reaching out to place his hand on top of yours, gently squeezing it within his palm. you enjoyed the warmth he radiated, though you remained silent and simply kept your hand there without reaction.
⠀you felt lost, more lost than ever before. more questions began to pile and stack up higher and higher, and not even a slimmer of an answer had shown itself yet. an endless labyrinth of mystery, that became worse with every turn you took. you were frustrated with yourself. you were frustrated with iwaizumi. you were frustrated with oikawa. you were frustrated with the world.
⠀"y/n." he said it more firmly this time, now getting impatient with your silence. "stop staring into space, i'm right here. you know you can tell me what's going on in your mind. i'll do my best to help or assist you in anyway i can."
⠀that was a lie, you knew it was, and he knew it was. you almost laughed. he'd tell you jackshit. he only wanted to help if it would make him look better in your eyes. why? did you hate him before everything happen? is he trying to make amends? is that why he refuses to tell you anything that would trigger any memories to clear up? what was he achieving by keeping your own life a secret? he had every answer you wanted, and wouldn't tell you anything from it.
⠀to make matters worse for yourself, now, you couldn't trust oikawa. there was something there. you felt it. your body, your nerves, your heart felt different. the atmosphere around the injured third year became different. your subconscious remembered something your brain hadn't picked up on yet. your body reacted on its own whenever tooru came into sight, your instincts telling you to flee, to get out of there as quickly as possible. you only had your instincts to trust at this point; instincts, and a gut feeling. even then, your gut feeling seemed to enjoy remain dormant.
⠀"it's nothing, hajime. i just didn't get enough sleep last night." you snapped at him lightly, your frustration building up as you sat back, removing your hand from his hold. "i'll be fine. thanks for taking me out today. i almost thought you'd forget."
⠀"never." his smile was almost arrogant, crossing his arms and sitting back in his own chair. "like i said, it's my treat. i wouldn't go back on my word."
⠀"right..." you were bored of him at this point. he was just fishing and hoping that you would praise him for his selfless actions. "it's friday, right? i've got nothing to do this weekend." you were partially talking to yourself, your thoughts still focused on finding ways to get your memories back. you had no leads, or clues; that wouldn't stop you from trying, though.
⠀"want to do something this weekend?" he shrugged. "not sunday, though. i'm a bit busy then. but saturday i'm free. i'll take you somewhere for the day. again, my treat."
⠀"you need to let me pay one of these days. i'm not entirely broke." you huffed and shook your head, before shrugging lightly to his suggestion. "i guess so. i've got nothing to do, either. i might sleep early tonight, though. i need it." that was a lie. you just wanted to get away from him for the rest of the day so you could do stuff on your own.
⠀"that's a good idea. sleep is important. you need your rest."
⠀you yawned to solidify the thought. "my thoughts exactly."
⠀"i'll text you tomorrow about it. for now, i'll just walk you home." you nodded, and in no time, the two of you walked out and as promised, he made sure to walk you all the way up to your front step. "here we are. i'll see you tomorrow, y/n."
⠀you took a chance. as he turned around to walk away, you grabbed his wrist, almost desperately, and pulled him back to turn him around. he was silent, but his eyes were fixated entirely on yours. you used this chance to look into his irises, to see any possible sign of him hiding something, anything from you. his eyes were completely unreadable. there was nothing there, but so many things all at once. like he had everything but nothing at his disposal. "please, hajime." you begged quietly, your lips quivering. "please, i just want to know something from before the accident. i want to remember. i want to recall. nothing has come back to me." he tried to pull away but you only grasped onto him tighter. "just one thing, hajime. that's all i ask for. tell me at least one thing if you can't tell me everything. stop hiding my life from me, please. i want to know what happened."
⠀he was considering it. you could see it as he moved his gaze away from you, now unable to maintain eye contact. he had stopped fighting your hand and stood there, almost defeated. you squeezed his hand one more time, as if to encourage him to say something.
⠀nevertheless, it failed. you wanted to cry as he quickly pulled his hand away from your grip, his jaw clenching as he seemed to be fighting something internally. "if you haven't remembered anything, it must be for a reason, then. maybe your conscience is trying to protect you from the pain your past self faced. you shouldn't fight it."
⠀"don't you get it?" you raised your voice at him, now just angry. "i don't care, hajime. i don't give a single shit. i don't care if it hurts me. i don't care how bad it was before the accident. i don't care if i killed someone before the accident, or committed any kind of crime. i don't give a shit. i just want to know! don't you understand? you have everything i want to remember, and you just dangle it in front of my face and mock me with it every single day. you have me wrapped around your finger and all i can do is pretend i'm doing fine."
⠀you pushed him away by the chest as he tried to step near you. "don't. don't hug me, don't touch me. i'm tired of you only painting yourself as my hero and knight in shining armor. you're keeping me in the dark, and i'm tired of it. i just want to remember, hajime." you pointed at him. "wouldn't you want to remember everything if you lost all of your memories?"
⠀he was speechless, but you were already done with today. you left the question rhetorical as you lowered your finger and turned around, opening the door hastily.
⠀"i'll think about it."
⠀you heard his voice, quiet and faint, like a whisper. "it's a lot to unpack, and i don't want to stress you out with it. but if you go out with me tomorrow, i... i'll think about telling you."
⠀"that's not how this is going to work." you snapped right back, your grip tightening around the doorknob. "if you aren't going to tell me, i'm not going with you anywhere tomorrow. the moment i find out you won't, i'm going home, and you aren't going to follow me. i hope i've made myself clear."
⠀you slammed the door in his face and watched him walk away from the window. once he was out of your line of vision, you took a deep breath. you did what had to be done. now, the decision was now in iwa's hands. it was an ultimatum. either he would come forward with the truth, or he could kiss your day, and friendship with him, goodbye. you were sick of it, this was your boiling point.
⠀you really hoped hajime would see your side.

Sammy and Bendy ruin everyone's Christmas.
A secret satan gift fic for @teaniart where the Prophet unknowingly yet willingly helps his god achieve perfection which comes at the expense of others' sanity.
“I would love to see Bendy getting himself into trouble just by being silly :]c or even any one of them playing an instrument/singing together!”
I hope you don't mind if I kinda merged the two prompts.
In the toony yet gloomy remains of the animation studio that had could have been something incredible had things worked out differently, upon the top floor that had once been the art department; there was a moderate crowd of lost ones. And by them, the small, yet furious crowd of angels, wolves, and creators was gathered around the masked prophet who looked very pleased with himself.
"You're a monster, Lawrence..." The two face angel growled at the masked man. There was a fire in here lone eye that threatened to burn the mad musician to ashes if it could.
The perfect wolf let out a whine and a nod before hiding behind the man with the looking glass. The voiceless toon seemed ashamed of himself for agreeing with the villainess who tormented him, but he couldn't deny that she was right.
"You're nothing but pure evil encased in ink!" The old man in the blue bath robe shouted. "Not even I wanted to condemn us all to what you've just unleashed! And on Christmas too?!"
"Wait, it's Christmas?" The ink-stained, very tired looking man holding an axe in his right hand and a strange device with a looking glass in the other asked. "As in Christmas Day, or sometime in December? How long have I been in here, Joey?"
"..Nevermind..." The Director squeaked as his gaze turned away from his old friend, quickly turning his attention back to the irritatingly smug former music director. "MORE IMPORTANTLY: How could you, Sammy?! You've damned us all to a terrible, unthinkable fate worse than death!"
The small crowd swore that they saw the group of lost ones all roll their eyes in perfect unison at Joey's comment, as well as overhear some snide murmurs along the lines of of 'well he's a real expert at condemning people to fates worse than death...'
"Just why...?" The other angel pleaded. "Why did you do this..?"
"I see no sins in what I have done here, I have simply given my Lord a gift." The masked man nonchalantly brushed off the crowd's ire, the lost ones behind him lowered their heads as he spoke, the crowd was unsure if they did that in respect for their Lord's name, or in shame of their leader's actions. "And a truly splendid one at that, I've never seen Him so happy before! Why... to see Him shed His old form to take a new one... It was incredible!"
The wolf with the robotic arm snarled at the musician and made threatening gestures as his angel held him back.
"It's no use, if we kill him now, it will only get his attention..." The twisted Angel shuddered. "And who knows what he'll do then..."
"And what do you suppose we do instead?" The Director scoffed. "Just let this madness parade go on for god knows how long?!"
"I was thinking of sewing his stupid mouth shut! But then I remembered he doesn't have one anymore..." The two faced angel sighed with frustration. "What about all of you?!" She pointed an accusatory finger at the crowd behind the former music director. "WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE BEING USELESS?! How can you just let that man do this to all of you?!"
"We understand and respect that while he respects and appreciates us as his flock, the Prophet's loyalty to his lord comes above all else." one of the lost ones stated calmly yet somberly, holding his hands together in prayer.
"Including us." Another lost one added with a nod as she reached into a bag of chips that she seemingly stole from Joey's apartment as soon as she saw the chance.
"Nothin' personal on Sam's end." A third lost one shrugged and reached into the second lost one's chip bag as she threw him a middle finger. "Besides, at dis point, gettin' sent inta da inky puddles is less like a scary unthinkable horror," he paused to chew his stolen chips. "An' more like havin' ta sit in da corner in timeout for a few minutes."
"Did you see how small and cute The Ink Demon's become?!" A forth lost one squealed "I'd kill for him if he asked me to!"
"If Lord Bendy claims our forms, then we will be reborn within the Ink. If he doesn't, he will set us free from it." A chorus of lost ones proclaimed in unison as their leader smiled with pride.
"Y-you're all mad..." Malice took a step back in shock. "...Just as mad as he is..."
"The words of a bitter... fallen... angel..." The prophet mused as he gestured to her. "We may both seek perfection, yet you have torn me down for taking my path. I do not feel anger towards you for spitting your venom, little snake, for I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to run your path only to find a dead end while the one you scoffed at and called a loon is at the cusp of achieving what you crave so desperately..."
The two faced angel raised her fist to strike the prophet but before she could, he hushed her.
"Shhh! Quiet! Listen..." the man put a hand to his ear. "Do you hear that? The pounding of metal tap shoes on rotted wood?" He proclaimed with excitement as Henry took Boris's hand and slowly backed towards the exit door. "The sounds of wind instruments... The stampede of the searching sheep..." He continued as Allison and Tom also backed away, the former subtly gesturing for Joey and Malice to run, the lost ones noticed and began to look uneasy. "The flute playfully whistles... The piccolo joins in tune... The saxophone proudly sings above them... The trombone is... currently being used by someone who had clearly never used one before in their life, the... trumpet is crudely subjected to the same fate as the trombone... I suppose it can't be helped.." The prophet sighs but his excitement returns.
"AND ALL OF IT LED BY THE TRIUMPHANT CALL OF THE KAZOO!"
The entire lost crowd bellowed in unison with their leader.
It was too late for them to run away at that point, the stampede of instrument-playing searchers led by Bendy tore through the studio, the creators, angels, and wolves covered their ears in a fruitless attempt to block out the chaotic noise as the lost ones and their prophet merely stepped out of the parade's way.
"Put that damned thing down you annoying fiend!" Joey shouted at the grinning imp who only stopped his playing to blow a raspberry at the old man and then he began playing louder. "I hope you people realize he's going to annoy all of us with that godforsaken instrument all fucking winter." he grumbled to the lost crowd.
"He's just having fun..." Henry unhelpfully added. "Calm down. Isn't this what you wanted anyway? He's perfect and doing what he does best; causing trouble though lighthearted shenanigans."
Joey stayed silent and wrung his hands together.
"I don't think that dolt realized that the dream of a real Bendy and the reality of it are two different things." The voice of Bertrum Piedmont bellowed from the abyss of the studio. "He fails to comprehend it, much like how he fails to make sensible long-term decisions."
"YOU SHUT UP!" Joey bellowed back. "YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT HOW THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!"
"Speaking of that..." Henry fidgeted with his seeing tool before pointing to the wide open exit door and the parade of music-playing searchers spilling into it. "I don't think that you had this in mind either."
The small group stared at the fleeing parade in horror as they realized the huge amount of trouble that imp was going to unleash on the outside world.
