Meeting Royalty {Blurb}
Remus Lupin x Dutchess!Reader
English Love Affair 5sos
Masterlist
Summary: Meet cute but make it royalty}
wc-1326
If the phrase, ‘Money is no object.” Was a person, it would be {Y/N} {L/N}.
The {L/N}s were known for many things, the most significant being they were dukes and duchesses of Whales. True royalty in their simplest forms. All of the perks and notaries, no true rules and regulations.
Your father was a tart man with more concerns about the latest lacrosse then what you were up to. It never bothered you, you could snap your fingers and have anything you ever wanted. People doted on you left and right, you were able to enjoy London to the fullest, and you had more money then you knew what to do with.
People had a habit of sucking up to you, you had never known trial in your life.
Until you met them.
Four boys, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. You spent every day of your life memorizing and familiarizing yourself with the locals, especially the ones your age. You were a high society socialite, it was in your blood. Their faces were certainly new no doubt about it.
One in particular caught your eye and kept it like a promise.
“Are you reading this?”
You were outside your favorite library in upper Kensington, a stack of books by your side. They were varieties of fantasy, but the long tanned finger in front of yours was gesturing to the one you just finished, ancient myth and mythos of Werewolves.
Now, you had never been approached so casually before. People your age were a bit bold, but no bolder than longer glances your way, muttering a bit too loud, even occasionally copying your coffee order from the cashier.
Then again, they tended to know who you were.
“Ma'am?”
His voice snapped you out of your trance. You lowered your sunglasses and looked up at him, eyes trailing his arm before you were met with a breathtaking sight. Tanned skin broken across with pale white scars, bordering on fleshy pinks. His eyes were rich with a creamy warmth, mint chocolate. He was giving you a curious look, before he slowly curled a corner of his lips into a smirk.
Oh god, how do you breathe again? Your throat was closed up and you forgot how to release it.
Slowly, you pulled down your glasses and began to chew idle on one of the ends. You were smirking at his sudden shyness, missing his smirk. Who speaks to royalty and shys away? You looked over his outfit, pressed shirt, steamed and starched trousers- was he 70?
A cozy brown corduroy sweater you could totally picture yourself in, early morning, with that dazzling smile looking at you. His large hands over your bare lower back littered in love bites-
“Your grace? Is this intended company?” One of your chaperones called over, making Remus look up like a startled bird.
“Intended? No, but very welcomed.” You called back before looking back up at the scarred boy. He seemed distressed. “So, do you have a name, Mint Chocolate?”
“Mint Chocolate?” He muttered, a bit confused.
“Like your eyes.” You mused and leaned forward, resting your elbows on the table and crossing your legs.
He opened and closed his mouth a few times, completely stunned by not only your forwardness, but the fact he wasn't being dragged off the patio by your company. Your grace? You were royalty. He just came up to royalty and asked for your book. Your book on werewolves.
He must look like a complete imbecile.
“Still with me, handsome?”
Oh and you were flirting with him.
“Y-yeah, sorry I wasn't aware-”
“Moony! The hell are you doing? We are done waiting for you!” A voice called out to him. It was deep, thick, and a bit playful. You looked right past your current fascination and smirked at the black haired boy. He looked startled, slowing his step towards you as your two chaperones began to step forward, like dressed up bodyguards.
“Woah, Moony, what did you get yourself into?” He whistled low, looking you over a few times before he smirked. He was handsome, and he seemed ready to flirt, but you were already over it, looking back up at Remus with a flutter of your eyelashes.
“My my moony, what have you gotten yourself into?” You hummed, and his jaw went slack. You grabbed the book he gestured to. It was a rather old one, supposedly donated to the library years ago. It cost a pretty penny to take it home. You looked it over before pressing the top to your chin, framing your face for him.
Sirius glanced down at the book they had been looking for, for the past hour, and then back to Remus who looked as flustered as a school boy. He slowly smirked and put his hand up to James’s chest to stop him from walking over, shushing him in a smooth motion, like it was second nature.
Not that you noticed much other than those glossy spectacles in his head. “I'll tell you what.”
You stood up and leaned forward, into his space. He didn't seem to have any problems with this, maybe there was a bit of fight behind his embarrassment?
“I did just buy this, it cost me quite a bit.” You started and his jaw dropped. Who just casually buys an artifact like this? “But, I'll let you borrow it.” You mused and held it out to him.
He slowly took it, cautious before his eyes darted from the worn leather cover, back to you. “Is there.. a catch?”
“Smart boy.” You praised and he couldn't find it in himself to be offended. You sat back on the table and bit your lip. “I want to know how to reach you. To get my book back, of course.”
“I uhm-” He took a deep breath and began to feel around his pockets for a pen. Pulling out a sharpie you extended your arm to him.
“Ma'am, your skin-” You waved off your chaperone’s concerns.
“Go ahead, sign it, Moony.” You teased in a song like voice and his breathing picked up a moment. He looked down and carefully took your elbow. Like you were fragile china.
The pen glided across your skin so featherlite you prayed he'd have to write it again, just to feel the pen tip against your soft flesh, spelling his lovely name. You licked your lips at him and he almost choked. Running your fingertips along your forearm, tracing the new name, like a claim on your skin.
“Remus?” You breathed and he closed the pen, putting it in his pocket.
“Remus Lupin.” He seemed just as effected by the little intimate action.
“{Y/N} {L/N}, Dutchess of Whales.” You offered your hand and he took it, kissing the back and shooting you a look. It was your turn to be flustered. Oh there was so much more beyond his initial embarrassment.
You wanted all of it.
“I'll return this soon.”
“Please. Very soon.” You whispered and he pulled back, biting his cheek before nodding.
“Your highness.”
“Call me by my first name, please.”
His eyebrows raised before he nodded. “Goodbye, {Y/N}.”
“See you soon, Moony.”
You watched him leave, his friends patting him on his back and laughing at the poor boy's state.
You could faintly hear the one you didn't hear shout. “You flirted with royalty!?”
You gave a laugh and stared where he stood. Suddenly realizing you just gave a book worth a few thousand quid to an absolute stranger. You couldn't care less- the idea of seeing him again was enough.
Eventually, it was time to brave the ride home. The England rain came out of nowhere, leaving you and your sundress soaked when you came home.
But the only thing you seemed to care about, was how his damned number had melted off your arm. Leaving just his morphed signature in its place.

an old diary || remus lupin
pairing: remus lupin x reader 812 words, fluff, remus finds your old diary from this request! a/n: i twisted the request just a teeny bit away from what you might have been expecting. but i hope you enjoy it nonetheless! this was so fun to write and the scenario is just too cute hehe
"Hey, Remus?" He hears your voice call from the library . "When you're free, do you think you can help me organise the storage room? There's a load of books from years ago that I need sorted."
Remus doesn't even hesitate on his answer, he knows he'll do anything for you. The both of you have stuck close since your school days, and took care of each other through the war. He feels forever indebted to you especially for that.
And that's how he finds himself in said storage room, the musty smell of yellowing paper wafting around him.
He scans the stacks of books. There's not many, compared to the rest of the library at least. This should just take the afternoon.
He starts to sort each stack, slowly making a system in his brain on how to tackle this task. But as he's on this third pile. a glimmer catches his eye, and he turns towards the direction of it. Underneath a pile, something familiar is sticking out, but he just can't put his finger on it.
He decides to abandon whatever task he was supposed to do and reaches for the book. Carefully, he slides it out of the stack.
The name on the book knocks his breath.
Y/N L/N, 1977.
That's what is was, your old diary from seventh year.
Remus finds himself frozen. That year was wild, to say the least. The bittersweetness of his final year, relishing of how much youth him and his had left. But mostly, it was the prelude to most of the pain he would experience in his life. This book is holding whatever you were feeling in those days.
He knows he shouldn't peek.
He flips the book open to a random page.
15 September, 1977 Today we went out to the lake, and I realised no words can describe the amount of love I have for my friends. To my dearest girls, Lily, Marlene, Mary, and Alice. I hope we are never too far apart. We shall grow old together gossip even as we do now.
Remus' heart swells at the sentiment, knowing each of the mentioned girls' fates. He flips to other pages, which mostly are written about the daily life of a Hogwarts student. However, a glimpse of his own name gets his attention. He stops to read the page.
25 January, 1978 Remus Lupin. Oh the man that you are. You and your stupid jumpers and stupid books and stupid tea you take with milk and two sugars. What I find the most stupid is the way you treat me. It makes me question who I am to you. Your friend? Maybe more? I can only dream. I don't think you'll ever see me that way. I'm perfectly happy where we are as friends. But somehow if I get even the slightest chance I will be taking it. Even if it comes ten years from now.
He's stunned, to say the least. He never knew you harboured these feelings back then, and wonders if you still had them now.
It's funnier especially when after all this time he never found a way to say he has those feelings too.
He knows what he should do. There's a newfound feeling of courage and bravery in him, and quickly finishes his tasks before you leave the library for the day.
"Oh, done already?" you ask, packing your work bag before leaving. "That was quick. Did you have much trouble?"
"No, not at all. Found some pretty good things in there," he says, trying to act casual. He hides the diary behind his back.
"Really? Do tell."
He pulls out the book from behind. You gasp.
"No way!" You grab it from his hold. "That was in there the entire time?"
"Mhm, I took a peak, if you don't mind," He says.
You furrow your brows. "You did?"
He nods slowly.
"And what did you read...?" you ask. He knows that you know what was written in that diary.
He shrugs. "Let's just say..." he looks around avoiding eye contact. "You said ten years, and it's been fifteen. So would you still?"
You frown, but you know exactly what he's talking about. "Still what?"
"Take the chance?"
You groan and cover your face, feeling your cheeks heat up. You hear Remus chuckle. "So is that a yes?"
Your hands leave your face, showing a pout. "I can't believe you read that!" you swat him playfully. "But yes... I would..."
"Brilliant," he says, smoothing your hair down and smiling at you.
"Now what?" you ask. You mentally kick yourself for asking such a question.
Remus grins, the same grin you've grown to love over the years. "I'd like to kiss you now, if it's alright with you."
The both of you lean in. In the library after fifteen years, he's finally yours.

A Mistake
Remus Lupin x reader
this is a part 2 of By The Fire Light
(use of y/n)
In which,
you try to forget but Remus remembers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a few days since the last full moon. Remus had healed up nicely and was beginning to go back to normal. However he had felt odd the past few days. It was quite annoying actually, whenever he tried to do anything that required focus all he could think about was her.
He kept thinking of her lips on his and her hands on his body. So gentle that he felt like he was a piece of china. God, it was taking over his life. Although she had been acting differently since that night. She had barely spoken to Remus over the past few days which confused Remus greatly.
In reality, y/n was being an idiot. A frightened, worrisome idiot. She had kissed Remus. By complete accident when he was totally loopy she kissed him. She couldn't believe herself. That night, after she had made sure that he was okay, she sat in bed awake. Worrying about what she had done. Her hands pulled at the roots of her hair. I’m the most stupid, dense, idiotic arse hole there ever was! She thought miserably.
How could I do this?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sun flowed in through the windows of the great hall. It was early. The wood of the table lay underneath y/n's drumming fingers. She ate quietly, sitting in silence as she read the book spread out in front of her. Her swimming thoughts being drowned out by the enticing scene laid out on the page in front of her.
Remus stood by the great doors watching her. His tall frame leaning on the cement frame of the wooden doors. His head ached from the things he wanted to tell her, wanted to shout on top of the tables, banging around in his mind. He made his way, slowly due to his injuries he had sustained from the full moon a few nights prior, over to where she sat on the mahogany bench.
Remus hesitated as he approached y/n, watching her fingers drum absently on the table and her eyes flicker over the pages of her book. She doesn’t seem to notice him until his shadow falls over the text. “Morning,” he says, his voice softer than usual, a mixture of exhaustion and nerves. y/n startled, glancing up at him. For a moment, her wide eyes meet his, and Remus feels the weight of all the things he wants to say but doesn’t know how. She quickly looks back down at her book. “Morning, Remus.” “Can I sit?” he asks, already lowering himself onto the bench across from her before she can answer. “Of course.” Her voice is tight, and she doesn’t look up again.
The silence stretches between them, heavy and uncomfortable. Remus watches her fingers tighten around the edges of the book, her gaze fixed determinedly on the words as though they hold the answer to escaping this moment.
“Have I done something wrong?” he finally blurts out, his voice cracking slightly. He leans forward, his elbows resting on the table. “You’ve been avoiding me.” Her head snaps up, guilt and panic flashing across her face. “No! No, of course not,” she says quickly, though the heat rising in her cheeks betrays her. Remus frowns. “Then what is it? y/n, please… If I’ve upset you, tell me.” His voice is steady but laced with concern. “I—was it the other night? Something I said?”
She closes her book, her fingers now twisting in her lap. “It’s not you,” she mumbles, not meeting his gaze. “It’s me.” “That’s not exactly helpful,” he says with a small, wry smile, trying to lighten the mood. When she doesn’t respond, his tone softens again. “y/n, talk to me. Please.”
Her shoulders sag, and she finally looks at him. “It’s just... I feel like I took advantage of you, Remus. That kiss—I mean, you weren’t yourself. You were injured and out of it, and I—I shouldn’t have done it. It was stupid and selfish, and—” “Selfish?” he interrupts, his brow furrowing deeply. “You think I didn’t want it?”
She freezes, her mouth slightly open. “You... you were half-conscious, Remus,” she says weakly. “You probably didn’t even realize it happened.”
“I remember,” he says firmly, leaning in closer. His amber eyes lock onto hers, and her breath catches. “I remember everything, y/n. I remember you taking care of me, the way you touched me like I was something precious. And I remember the kiss.” Her face burns, and she drops her gaze again. “It was a mistake.”
“A mistake?” he echoes, his voice quiet but strained. “Is that what you think?”
She doesn’t respond, too afraid of the hope and confusion swirling in his voice. “Because I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it,” he continues, his tone softer now, almost vulnerable. “About you.” Her head snaps up, and she finally meets his eyes. There’s no teasing there, no Marauder mischief—just Remus, looking at her like she’s the only person in the room. “I thought... I thought you’d regret it,” she whispers.
“I’d never regret anything with you,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/n stares at him, her heart pounding in her chest. His words hang in the air between them, raw and full of meaning. She feels like the room has fallen away, leaving just the two of them.
“You’ve been thinking about it?” she finally whispers, her voice shaky. Remus nods, his gaze steady. “I can’t stop.” He shifts uncomfortably on the bench, wincing slightly as he adjusts his position. “I’ve tried to tell myself it was nothing, but... it wasn’t nothing. Not to me.”
Remus stares into her eyes.
"Y/n, you are everything."

Happy Birthday? | Poly!Moonwaterkiller x Fem!Reader
ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 ࣪˖⤷ .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ࣪ ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 ˖ ⤷
Pairing: Remus Lupin x Regulus Black x Barty Crouch Jr x F!Reader WC: 3,163 CW: swearing, teasing type of relationship, mostly fluff, slight angst at the end, slight talks of Regulus’s childhood, no use of Y/N Author's Note: This ship is inspired by @ellecdc please send her love. She's so talented and is just straight up amazing. Also I'm still new to writing so I hope you like it and I'm sorry if it's not good/doesn't make sense.
Summary: It’s regulus birthday so you, Remus and Barty want to make it special but sometimes things don’t go as planned.
I made this ig mood board inspired by the guy idk ive never made one before
˙‧⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆⋆
“Bartemius Crouch junior! I swear to all that is holy in this world! If you stick your grubby hands in the frosting one more bloody time!”
“Oh come on Lupin! You can’t blame me, it's just so fucking good!"
Barty yelled, waving his hands around trying to defend himself.
You couldn't help but laugh at hearing two of your boyfriends’ bicker while you put the chicken you just got done seasoning into the oven to cook.
Admittedly it was quite entertaining and it helped distract you a bit from stressing over the cooking that still needed to be done and the small decorations that needed to be put up for today.
It was Regulus's birthday, so you and Remus had gotten Sirius to take Regulus out for the day so you and your partners could try and surprise him with a birthday dinner for just the four of you.
You couldn't help but stress seeing as he should be home sooner than later at this point, and you wanted everything to be as perfect as possible since Regulus wasn't completely comfortable with celebrating his birthday still.
He didn't find the idea of a party and things of that nature to be fun, he found it more stressful and anxiety inducing than anything. (due to his childhood)
So the three of you have always tried to do a little something to make it special for him and to show Regulus that you all love him but never anything too much as to avoid overwhelming or making him uncomfortable.
“Barty, my love, how about you go and set up the ‘Happy Birthday’ banner?”
“Anything for you angel.”
Barty says with a look that he reserved for only you.
It was love sick looks. The kind of look that could show the receiver every emotion the other person was feeling. It showed that you were loved by that person with their whole heart. The type of look that had both parties feeling vulnerable in the best way possible.
Even before you all had started dating, when you all were just friends in your earlier years at Hogwarts, he had always looked at you as if you hung the moon and all the stars in the sky.
He'd look at you as if you were the only good thing left in this world, and to him you were one of the only good things left in this world.
You and two other people that he held closer to his heart than he'd probably be willing to admit most days.
Though that didn’t mean Barty didn't love Remus and Regulus.
It also didn't mean it was a secret of how much Barty loved Remus and Regulus. In fact he loved them with all his heart. He expressed how much he loved them somewhat often in his own ways.
Especially since he could be known for his flair of the dramatics at times, he had expressed many times that he loved the three of you more than anything.
Not that anyone could deny, or question it. More like no one would dare to deny or question it.
Barty has expressed many times how he'd burn down cities, commit unspeakable acts and take on any unforgivable in a heartbeat for Regulus and Remus.
The love Barty held for them two was the kind of love that was teasing and could be chaotic in the best way.
The type of love that could only be described as a ‘I can pick on them but you can't pick on them because they're mine’ in the most loving way Barty could possibly manage. And may the gods help any poor soul that ever tried to mess with someone who he deemed as his.
But the love he had for you was a softer kind of love, it was sweet. The kind of love full of things like love sick looks, soft touches, sweet kisses and even sweeter words.
Along with the promises of burning down cities, committing unspeakable acts and taking on unforgivables’, who would expect anything less from Barty? But I digress.
“Yes please, piss off for fucks sake.”
Remus says in an exasperated tone waving Barty away. Barty then gasps dramatically and clenches his shirt as if he was clutching his ‘pearls’.
“You don't mean that, Remmy.” Barty all but whined.
“Plus you couldnt get rid of me even if you wanted to.”
Barty states sending a smirk and wink at Remus, which Remus just responds with by rolling his eyes and hitting Barty with a dish towel playfully to distract Barty from the light blush that's undoubtedly spread across Remus’s face, as to avoid being teased further by him.
“Barty’s right Rem. Even if we wanted to, we're stuck with him, unfortunately.”
You say with a sarcastic little sigh while trying to suppress a smile that threatened to form due to the two men playful arguing.
Barty then gasps dramatically once more and puts his hand over his heart as if you just stabbed him in the heart as Remus snicker at Bartys reaction and to your comment.
“Not you as well, angel. You should know that words hurt. You've wounded me, you've basically killed me.”
Barty then pretends to sob as you and Remus shake your heads with smiles on your faces due to his behavior.
“Gods you’ve been spending way too much damn time around Sirius.”
Remus says while rubbing his hands over his face trying to hide his smile. You chuckle and walk up to Barty and give him a hug giving him your best ‘I'm sorry’ look.
“I’m sorry Barty, I just couldn't help it. Remus has influenced me far too much.. Blame him.”
You say in fake sincerity with a small nod as you hear Remus huff at your comment.
Barty lets out a chuckle and hugs you back with a smile on his face looking down at you as he holds you.
“It's okay angel, I could never stay upset at you. Lupin on the other hand..”
Barty drags out the end of his sentence with a small smirk on his face as Remus scoffs dramatically at his lovers’ statements.
“Really love? It's my fault is it?”
Remus says with his head tilted to the side and eyebrow raised, as if daring you to continue saying that he should be the one to blame for your ‘cruel’ comment to Barty.
“Actually Lupin, I think it is your fault.” Barty stated apparently agreeing with you.
“And what has brought you to that conclusion Junior?”
Remus says as he walks toward the both of you with a small smirk on his face.
“My angel was just that, an angel. That was until you lot got your Gryffindor hands all over her.”
Barty says with a small shrug, feeling as if his point was valid and made sense. You supposed for Barty it did.
“Is that a fact?” Remus asked while getting closer to you and Barty.
“Yeah, Lupin it is actually.” Barty says, giving Remus a somewhat challenging look.
“You don't seem to complain when I have my Gryffindor hands all over you, Junior.”
Remus then winks at a now blushing and flustered Barty. You then cover your mouth trying to hide your own blush while also trying to suppress a giggle.
Barty tries to say some kind of come back and it just results in him stuttering.
“W-well I- Goddamnit! That’s not fair Lupin!”
All's fair in love and war Junior.”
Remus says sending another wink at Barty and smirking at you while Barty stares at him with wide eyes in complete silence.
He had managed to make Barty Crouch Jr speechless.
That was actually one of the many things that Remus was good at, especially at the beginning when everything was still new and more unexpected.
When the four of you were in that space where you weren't officially dating but it was clear to you and everyone who'd been around your little group that you four had very strong feelings for each other.
It had taken Remus no time at all to get comfortable with having at least one of you flustered almost all the time, usually to the point of stuttering or speechlessness.
He loved seeing you three like that.
Especially Barty.
Barty wasn't someone you could easily make blush let alone actually fluster, especially with just words so whenever Remus would manage to make Barty speechless he felt like he won a reward.
Barty would never admit it but it was clear as day that Remus was good at making him a flustered stuttering mess.
And Barty hated it.
“Now love. I believe someone owes someone an apology for trying to place blame.”
Remus says, walking up to you now at arms length and giving you a pointed look now waiting for an apology.
While Barty mutters a ‘fucking hell’ under his breath and runs his hand through his hair as he walks towards the kitchen counter still mumbling quietly to himself.
“I'm sorry moony. Truly. Do you forgive me?” You say somewhat sincerely knowing Remus doesn't really care all that much.
“I could never stay mad at you, love.”
Remus says with a small smile he then cups your cheek and gives you a kiss on your forehead, you lean into Remus's kiss taking in the moment and enjoying the affection from your boyfriend.
When suddenly you and Remus feel a cold, grainy substance rain down on you, which you both quickly realize is flour once the shock wore off.
You then hear a familiar giggle, and turn to see none other than a proud looking Barty standing now several feet away, covered in white powder himself. He just stands there proud of himself as if he didn't just cover you both in flour.
As you stare at him wide eyed and mouth a gasp, he just gives you a cheeky little smile.
“You did not just do that Junior.”
“Oh but I think I did, Remmy. That's what you get for teasing and being mean to me.”
Barty then sends a little wink to you and a somewhat apologetic smile.
“Sorry angel. Collateral damage, you understand.”
Barty says with a small shrug and a tone that makes it seem like it's the most reasonable thing that he has ever done.
You simply nod with the most convincing smile you could possibly muster in that moment.
“Of course my love. I understand.”
You say walking near Barty and grabbing a bowl that's filled with whipped cream that you had made earlier. You then walk closer to Barty and with a smile on your face.
“And you'll understand when I do this.”
You say while grabbing a handful of whipped cream and throwing it at Barty just for him to duck in time ending with the cream hitting Remus in the face. You gasp and cover your mouth trying not to laugh as Barty busts out laughing.
“Oh shit Rem! I'm so sorry.”
You say trying hard and failing to suppress your laughter, while Remus wipes his eyes off with his hands.
“It's okay love. All’s forgiven. Just come and give me a kiss.”
“Ummm I would love to, honestly I would… After you clean your face, that is…”
You back away from a now smiling remus while he opens his arms for you and starts walking closer to you.
“No, now would be fine for me.”
Remus proceeds to walk closer to you as you start to back away towards Barty who's starting to calm down from his laughter.
“Why not kiss Barty?! This is all because of him anyway!”
Barty then gasps.
“Angel! I can't believe you'd throw me under the bus like that… Is it bad that I liked it?”
Barty asks the last part more to himself than to anyone else. He was so caught up in his thoughts for a second that he didn't notice you now using him as a human shield, that was until he felt a clump of whipping cream on his head and looked to see a smirking Remus.
“Oh. This means war.”
All of a sudden it was every person for themselves. The kitchen was now a war zone. Flour, whipped cream, sugar, powdered sugar, fruits and berries were being thrown all over the place. It was pure chaos.
The Three you were making a mess out of the kitchen and even bigger messes of yourselves.
Next thing you, you’ve been thrown over Remus’s shoulder while Barty is chasing Remus around the kitchen.
There’s so much going on, so much laughing and screaming that no one heard the door open. Which meant no one heard Regulus make his way to the kitchen, and so no one noticed him standing in the doorway till you heard him speak.
“I leave you alone for a few hours and suddenly the kitchen explodes?”
Regulus in all his stoic glory just stood there not even looking a little surprised.
All three of you stopped running around, suddenly feeling like kids who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Then all three of you look at eachother then at Regulus.
“Happy Birthday?” You, Remus and Barty said accidentally making it sound more like a question than in an enthusiastic way.
Regulus just points at the oven says.
“The ovens smoking.”
“Oh shit! The chicken!”
You yell as Remus puts you down and he rushes to the oven to take out the now burnt chicken as smoke fills the kitchen.
“Sooo… Chinese?” Said a very uncertain Barty
After opening some windows, having the Chinese food delivered, a few showers and quite a few cleaning spells the four of you ended up on the couch with a movie on not many words being exchanged.
After the movie was finished and the food had all been mostly finished Remus had brought out the cake that he managed to finish decorating while waiting for the food to arrive.
The three of you had sung (or in Bartys case basically screamed) Happy birthday to Regulus while he sat there with a ghost of a smile on his face. After another hour or so the four of you found yourselves in your shared bed.
You couldn't help but feel guilty since Regulus hadn't really expressed any emotion which wasn’t necessarily not normal about his birthday. You felt like maybe you had upset him in some way, maybe you over stepped or maybe he was irritated due to the mess you Remus and Barty made.
You were spiraling.
Till you heard a whisper.
“Thank you..”
It was quiet for a few seconds, you supposed no one really knew what to say.
“For what Black? I feel like we kinda ruined your birthday.” Said a almost half asleep Barty
“It wasn't ruined Junior! It just didn't go.. as planned..'' defend Remus who laid on the other side of you.
You and Regulus laid in the middle of Barty and Remus.
“Would the two of you stop bickering for just a moment please?” You say with a small shake of your head and a small chuckle.
The next second there's a small choir of ‘Sorry angel’ and ‘Sorry love’.
“What are you thanking us for, Reggie?”
You say pushing some of his black curly hair behind his ear looking at him softly, though he probably couldn't tell since it was dark in the room.
The only light coming through the window from the half moon.
“For today.. I know it didn't go how any of you planned or would have wanted it to go, but still. It was nice. I spent most of the day with my brother though he can be insufferable, loud and dramatic most of the time, it was still nice. And then to come home to the three people who mean everything to me laughing and having fun... That was the best part. I know I'm not the easiest when it comes to celebrating my birthday but, your three and Sirius have been the only people who have ever actually cared for my birthday. You've never treated it like how my parents did. Never used it as an excuse to have a big party full of people I didn't know or care about just so it seemed like we were better then them or make it seem like we were the perfect family, even though it was evident that we weren't. You've always made it about me and always respected what I'm comfortable with and well I appreciate that. So.. Thank you.. I love you.. All three of you..”
“We love you too Reg.” You say quietly, giving Regulus a soft kiss.
“Awwww did Regulus Black just say he loves me.” Barty practically squealed.
Barty then pulls Regulus into him so Regulus’s back is to Barty's front and then proceeds to messily kiss Regulus all over the side of his face while Regulus tries and fails to get away from him.
Remus then starts to laugh harder than you had seen in a while, almost falling off the bed as he hears the bickering between the two (mostly on Regulus' part) and sees the shadows of a struggling Regulus and a very determined Barty.
You can't help but start to laugh almost as hard as Remus as you try and get the words out to have Barty let go of poor Regulus.
The night continues for only a few more moments it's filled with more laughing and eventually sleepy good night kisses and I love yous.
To say the four of you had an interesting relationship would be an understatement. It could be messy and chaotic, it could be a fucking headache sometimes.
But there was love. There was always love.
There were mornings where the four of you would wake up and just lay in bed happier than any of you thought you could ever be.
There were tender kisses and loving touches.
Dreams and promisses of the future.
There were smiles and laughing fits that would fuel you for the days when you felt like you couldn't even get out of bed.
Admittedly, it was a lot most of the time.
There were screaming matches and arguing at its worst times but at its best times it was you and three people that you couldn't see your life without. Three people that made life easier most of the time. People who could make you laugh till you cried and that would hold you while you cried and fall apart.
This was a life that none of you ever thought you'd have the opportunity to have, and ever so often one of you would feel like you didn't deserve the life you had.
This was the kind of life that probably wouldn’t exist for you guys in different universes. But here, in this universe? This is the life you have and you wouldn't trade it for the world.

You'll Feel Better | Remus Lupin Oneshot
Word Count: 3.8K Requested by @blackloveangel13: "Remus Lupin" Paring: Remus Lupin x Fem!Reader
Summary: It had always been a running joke between the Marauders that Remus always had chocolate on him. But (Y/N) didn't know how it had started. After James, in a cruel attempt at a hurtful joke, reveals the reason to (Y/N) she can't help but make it her mission to change Remus' mind about the sweet treat.
A/N: the request didn't have any specifications, so I ran with a little idea I had been playing around with. I've always found the fandom headcanon around Remus eating chocolate to kill the wolf inside him. To calm that, I decided to put an angsty with a happy ending spin to it. Hope you enjoy! 💖💖 Also, I went with a fem!reader becuase the profile of the requester had the pronouns she/her 😊
The thing about rumors is that sometimes they are true. But the worst thing is when that rumor is spread amongst your own friends about the person you love the most.
The Marauders all knew about Remus’ lycanthropy. How could they not? He had trusted them with his deepest secrets, just like they had done with theirs. Hell, they had learned how to be Animagi for him.
But no amount of closeness could ever make the teasing die between them, even when it was borderline cruel. Especially when it came to James Potter. Growing up, he had been coddled enough that sometimes, he did not know where the limits lay. Everyone knew that he would never intentionally hurt his friends. Still, sometimes, his words and jokes cut too deeply.
And (Y/N) could take it most of the time. She was strong enough to face off with him. It was only when it came to Remus Lupin that she found her resolution unable to withstand his jabs. She would grow red with anger whenever James joked about Remus’ careful nature, how he allowed things to simply happen to him. He called him shy and awkward, sometimes scratching the line of coward. And it took everything in her not to explode at him every time. If Remus was there, he could keep her centered. But she would tear James a new one on the rare occasion that he wasn’t.
(Y/N) knew the side of Remus that their friends seemed to forget. She knew he shielded the witty, calculated, and intelligent side from the rest. It was what had made her fall for him. At first, she believed she simply had an affinity for the Lupin boy, that they had a connection she did not have with the rest of the Marauders. Yet, as time went on, she discovered that the sentiments she felt toward the boy were far stronger than those of friendship. They were emotions she could never tell him about, not without losing his friendship, and that was something (Y/N) would never do.
It had been a day like any other when (Y/N) had heard the rumor for the first time. It was spilling out of James’ mouth as if it were nothing but a joke. And maybe to him, it was. Peter and Sirius seemed to think so as they laughed at the pureblood’s words.
“Where’s Remus right now?” the raven-haired boy had asked as he sat on an armchair in the Gryffindor common room. He propped his feet on the armrest, dug into a box of Every Flavour Jelly Beans, and popped one into his mouth. “Ugh, vomit!”
“I think he went to the kitchens to ask for some chocolate,” Sirius shrugged. “Full moon’s tomorrow, and you know how he gets around those days.”
“Yeah,” Peter snickered. “His sweet tooth gets activated to no avail. One day, he’ll give himself a cavity.”
“Oh, lay off him, guys,” (Y/N) said, crossing her arms over her chest. Sometimes, she hated being the only girl they had accepted into their little group. She wondered if it was easier to be with them if she had been on the outside looking in –like Lily Evans, maybe Theresa Berlitz, or even Sasha Monnet. The latter she envied the most. The girl that held all of Remus’ attention, and she didn’t even care for it. “You know it’s hard for him to regulate his system after such a brutal transformation.”
“Oh, there goes the pup again. Defending her little boyfriend,” Potter guffawed. “He’s old enough to fight his own battles, (Y/N). If you’re not gonna tell him how you feel, let him grow up on his own.”
“Shove it, Potter. As if you didn’t need my help to get Lily to even look your way,” she spat back. “He’s our friend. I’m defending him against you when he’s not here to do it for himself. I know you have one, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a dick.”
The other two boys tried their hardest to hide their laughter, but their red faces instantly gave them away. And before they could stop it, they barked out their chuckles. (Y/N) saw how that made James’ face shift. His cocky grin was instantly replaced with an annoyed scowl. But he was never one to stay down for long. He always had something up his sleeve.
“Maybe you shouldn’t spend so much time defending him, (Y/N). Maybe you should spend more time saving him from himself.”
She felt her chest squeeze at his words. Not knowing what they meant made her spiral, going down a thought storm she did not want to face. “What are you mumbling about, Potter?”
“Don’t you know why he eats so much chocolate?” James answered, a smug look on his face. “I thought you two told each other everything. But I guess he didn’t want you mommy-ing him about it.”
“James,” Sirius warned, seeing as tears pooled on the corners of the girl’s eyes. “Don’t.”
But the boy simply raised his hand and stared deeply into the witch’s eyes. “Darling, (Y/N). I thought you were smarter than that,” he chuckled mockingly. “You know how toxic chocolate is to canines, right? The poor boy eats his weight in chocolate to try and kill the wolf inside.”
The words sent a pang to her heart. If they were true, it meant that Remus hated that part of him so much that he would have rather eat himself sick with sweets than accept it. The thought made her stomach churn, but it wasn’t as unbearable as the red-hot anger taking over her. She wanted to lunge at James, beat him bloody until they pried her nails off his body. She would have done it if it had not been for Peter’s hand on her arm.
“You truly are something else, Potter. He is your friend,” she spat, her tone poignant and enraged. “He’s trusted us with his deepest secret. Trusted that we are here to help him navigate it rather than beat him down over it. And you say those words as if they’re something to laugh at. You can truly be a despicable person, James.”
“Oh, come on, (Y/N). Stop being so dramatic,” he laughed. “It won’t actually do anything to him. It’s just chocolate. It’s not like I’m telling you he ingested a death potion.”
“Sod off, Potter,” she responded. “It’s honestly becoming that the first bean you ate was vomit. It seems that’s the only thing you can spew from your mouth sometimes.”
She left her friends with a surprised look on their faces and left for the girls’ dormitories. There was no point in waiting up for Remus to return. He most likely would have returned long after they were meant to be in their beds, and she was too exhausted to face him.
(Y/N) cried herself to sleep that night, thinking of how much pain Remus had to endure. Not only was he fighting a physical battle, but every day, he fought a mental one as well, and there was nothing she could do. Well, not yet.
The next day, (Y/N) avoided her friends at all costs. She knew Remus would be excused from most of his classes as he prepared for the long night ahead, and the last thing she wanted was to face James. Even if he seemed to sport an apologetic frown on his face during breakfast. She wanted him to feel sorry. She wanted him to ruminate on the words he had spouted about one of his best friends. She wanted him to never again speak of him –or any of them for that matter–in that way.
Sirius and Peter were not safe either. Even in their Potions and DADA classes, where they sat either next to or near each other, she acted as though they weren’t even there. They had known that James had said that before. Their faces had told her as much. They hadn’t been surprised when the sound escaped Potter’s mouth. They simply didn’t want her to hear it. In her eyes, they were just as bad.
As the day passed, her anger had started to dwindle. Mostly because she felt lonely. Her only solace would have been Remus, and she knew she could not be with him. Not until the night had fully passed. She couldn’t even find solace in the rest of her friends. But instead of dwelling in her sadness, she locked herself in the library to concoct a plan. Nothing fueled her more than making sure that Remus Lupin was okay, and she would make sure he was.
That night felt endless.
(Y/N) spent hours staring at the enchanted ceiling she had created inside the secret passageway in Gregory the Smarmy’s corridor, watching as the moon moved slowly. It was the place Remus always went to after a transformation, too tired to head back to the Gryffindor common room and face his friends. Sometimes, he just needed some time to himself.
She clutched the Marauder’s Map tightly in her hands, thanking Merlin that Sirius had handed it over to her without any questions. Once the moon had disappeared in her enchantment, she looked for Moony’s name and watched as it inched closer and closer. And before she knew it, the exhausted boy stood before her.
“(Y/N),” he breathed with a relaxed smile on his face. He joined her side, sliding down the stone wall until he hit the hard floor. “What are you doing here? You should still be sleeping.”
“I’ve brought you something,” she said. She pulled a cardboard box out of her satchel and handed it to him. “I made you some peanut butter-chocolate cookies, and some chocolate truffles.”
“You didn’t have to do that, pup. A chocolate bar or two normally does the job,” he responded, looking at the treats in his hand. At first, he didn’t notice it, but once he turned, it was unmistakable. Her cheeks were stained with old tears as new ones fell on top, her eyes red and puffy from crying. “Oh, (Y/N). What’s wrong?”
Disregarding his question, she brushed back a strand of hair that was covering his forehead, revealing a streak of blood falling from a deep slash. “You’re bleeding, Remus,” she said softly, pulling out the first aid kit she always kept on her. “Let me clean that up.”
“There’s spells for that, pup. You don’t have to go through the trouble.”
“Hush now,” she sniffled. “Let me work.”
Her hands were gentle against his skin, working swiftly and gently, making sure not to disturb the wound any further. It wasn’t deep enough to require immediate medical attention, but deep enough that it would scar. She worked until not a drop of blood was left on his face and covered it with a bandage.
“Eat,” she smiled. “You’ll feel better.”
“Then will you tell me what’s wrong?” Remus offered, his brown eyes pleading for an answer. “I don’t like to see you this upset.”
“Oh, nothing’s the matter,” she smiled weakly. “Just eat. It’ll make me feel better.”
With a lopsided grin, he took a bite of a cookie, closing his eyes as he savored the combination of flavors. A moan of delight left his throat, and he rested his head against her shoulder as he enjoyed the entirety of the bite. “Definitely better than a chocolate bar,” he chuckled softly. “But I can’t promise I won’t eat one or two every once in a while. Can’t have you living in the kitchens the rest of the year.”
“I wouldn’t mind,” (Y/N) responded, trying her best to swallow the tears that kept threatening to spill. “I’ll make you all the cookies in the world if that’s what you need.”
“What I need is for you to be okay,” he told her, gently wiping away the streaks from her cheeks. “Will you please tell me what’s wrong? I don’t like to see you like this, pup. It breaks my heart.”
“James,” she finally sighed. “Something he said just rubbed me the wrong way, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.”
“That Potter boy can be too much sometimes,” he said defeatedly. “What was it this time? Please tell me it was nothing directed at you.”
“No, it’s… it was about you, Remus,” (Y/N) admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “He said something about you I didn’t like. But what angered me the most was that he laughed about it.”
“What was it?”
“I don’t wanna say, Moony,” she pleaded. “Don’t make me say it.”
“Darling, it’s James,” he teased. “He’s not smart enough to say something that will truly hurt me. But I don’t want you to carry it on your own. Now, out with it.”
(Y/N) took a steadying breath, sarong at the hand that held hers, tracing the scars with her eyes. “He said that the reason you eat so much chocolate is because it’s toxic to canines,” she confessed, a sob shaking her body. “That you believe that if you eat enough of it, it’ll kill the wolf inside you.”
An oh escaped Remus’ lips before he pulled her in for a tight embrace, trying his best to console her laments. It crushed him that he was inadvertently the cause of her pain. That was the last thing he wanted.
“Is it true, Remus?” Her voice croaked, breaking any ounce of preservation he still held. “Please tell me it isn’t.”
“It was at first,” he sighed. (Y/N) was tucked under his chin, and he could feel her body shake as she tried to breathe. He ran his hands through her hair, soothing her tenderly. “When I was a kid, I had read that dogs could die from eating chocolate. That even the smallest amount could do them harm. One Hallowe’en celebration, I gathered as many pieces as I could muster and ate them until I was stuffed. Ultimately, I ended up throwing up this sickly-looking brown mixture, and I thought I had done it. Until the next full moon, where I still transformed.”
“Oh, Remus,” (Y/N) cooed as she squeezed his waist.
“I guess I still associate the taste with those thoughts,” he continued, feeling the warmth of his tears trailing down his cheeks. “I can’t lie to you, (Y/N). Every time I feel the sweet melt in my mouth, a part of me hopes that it is weakening the wolf at the very least. That the more I eat it, the frailer it’ll become.”
“I don’t want you to think that anymore, Moony,” she said. (Y/N) straightened herself and sat before him, her teary eyes boring into his. She took his hands in her and kissed his knuckles. “Even if it takes me forever, I will make sure every memory you have with it is replaced by a happy one. If I have to bake a million chocolate cookies or make a million truffles –I don’t care–I will do it. I will do it until my hands bleed. I will do it until your heart doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“There’s no point, pup,” he said, his head falling in defeat. “It will not change the fact that I am still cursed. Forced to turn into a monster every single month. Always hoping that the people I love are safe from me, from what I can do. It’s a life sentence that I will have to face by myself.”
“As long as I am alive, Remus, you must know that you will never be alone,” she told him, placing a hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at her. “I love every single part of you, Moony. Even the parts that you cannot stand.”
“This is not a life I could wish on you, (Y/N). Not you,” he sniffled. “You deserve so much better.”
(Y/N) couldn’t find the words to say just how wrong he was. That the only life she had ever dreamed of had him by her side. So, she decided to show him. She leaned in and took his lips on hers in a moment of bravery. For a second, she thought he would push her away and remind her that his sights had been set on Sasha.
Instead, Remus melted into the kiss, pulling her closer to him by her waist. He kissed her as though she was the only source of oxygen in that passageway. As though her lips held the very force he needed to exist. As though she was his reason for being.
“I don’t want a life that you’re not in, Remus,” she said breathlessly, her forehead resting against his. “I want to walk beside you, for better or worse. And I want to show you that you deserve all the love and happiness in the universe. Even if you don’t believe me.”
“I’d believe anything if it came from your lips,” he smiled. “And as far as I see it, chocolate has now brought me something I never thought I could have.”
“Yeah?” (Y/N) grinned, popping a truffle into her mouth. “And what’s that?”
“Well, you, pup,” he smirked before kissing away a speck of chocolate on her lips. “I thought I was bound to live with my feelings for you for the rest of my life.”
“You thought that? I was under the impression that you were moping over Sasha Monnet.”
“Where would you even get that idea?” Remus chuckled in surprise. “She’s just a friend.”
“And why did you think that I didn’t reciprocate your feelings? I’ve honestly believed you were simply ignoring them for my sake.”
The pair exchanged a knowing glance before bursting into laughter. “Sirius,” they said in unison.
“I’m gonna kill that boy,” Remus said. “I can’t believe we’ve spent the past five years tiptoeing around each other when we could have been doing this the whole time.”
“Well, it serves us right for entrusting Padfoot with such meaningful information,” she chuckled. “I wonder if they’ve made bets on when we would notice.”
“You can best believe they have,” he joined in her laughter before looking down at his watch. “And as much as I would love to stay here all day with you, we, unfortunately, have classes to attend to.”
“You mean we can’t stay hidden in here all day and make out?” (Y/N) sighed dramatically and fell on Remus. “What ever shall we do?”
“We can always come back tonight,” the boy smirked. “Put that map to good use while we have it.”
“I like where your head is at, Moony,” she smiled before placing a soft kiss on his lips. “But I do agree we have to go. I have to stop by the kitchens before breakfast.”
“I think I’m good on delicious chocolate snacks, pup.”
“Oh, it’s not for you, my darling Remus. There’s someone I need to eat his words. And I know just the way to do it.”
After changing into their uniforms, (Y/N) made a detour to the kitchen, bribing a house elf for a rather peculiar request. Remus waited patiently for her outside the doors until they walked hand in hand into the Great Hall. Their friends’ eyes followed their figures until they settled with them, sliding onto the bench as they had done many times before.
“Good to see you back with us, (Y/N),” Sirius was the first to speak. “I think I speak for all of us when I say we missed you yesterday.”
“Yeah, we’re sorry for being insensitive,” Peter frowned.
“And James here,” Sirius said as he shoved his friend’s shoulder. “Wants to say something.”
“Right,” Potter affirmed, clearing his throat. “I didn’t mean to make fun of something so serious, (Y/N). You know, sometimes I cross the line.”
“No worries, James,” she smiled sickeningly sweetly. “And to show that all is forgiven, I’ve brought you this.”
The witch handed her friend a small box, much like the one she had handed Remus that very sunrise. She watched as James opened it and, as he smiled, took a bite of the pastry inside. Their friends watched in confusion as Potter enjoyed the sweet, savoring every bite. They waited for a surprise. A jinx or a potion laced into the treat. But it never came.
“Careful, love,” (Y/N) said. “That’s a rhubarb breakfast cake.”
“So what? I like rhubarb.”
“Well, wouldn’t want people to think you’re eating it to kill the stag inside,” she smirked. “I thought you’d be smart enough to know that rhubarb is toxic to deer.”
Sirius, Remus, and Peter burst out in laughter as James’ face reddened in embarrassment. He sent the treat down and busied himself with his food. After that, the boy never again seemed to speak out of his arse. At least, not about his friends.
Many years later, at 12 Grimmauld Place, an older Remus Lupin sat before a fireplace when Harry Potter joined him. The man fiddled with the ring on his left hand, twirling it as he always did when he was lost in thought. Once he noticed the boy beside him, unconsciously, he handed him a piece of the chocolate bar he had on the coffee table next to him.
“May I ask you something, Remus?” the boy asked.
“Of course, my boy. Anything.”
“I heard some rumors about you and chocolate,” he said, his voice weak. “About why you always carry it with you.”
“I think I might know what you’ve heard,” Remus chuckled softly. “Something about wanting to kill the wolf inside, am I right?”
“Yes,” Potter confessed. “Is it true? Does it actually poison it?”
“No,” he laughed. “Your dear old father made sure that stupid idea didn’t die down.”
“My dad was the one that spread it?”
“In a way,” he smiled as he remembered that fateful day. “But do you want to know the real reason I always carry it with me?”
“Yes.”
“It reminds me of one of the happiest moments in my life,” he said before the door behind them opened. “I can’t eat it without smiling anymore, and I like to think it’s contagious.”
“What are you two talking about?” (Y/N) asked as she walked in, followed by an enchanted tray with three cups of tea and a plate of peanut butter-chocolate cookies. “I hope it is age-appropriate things, Remus.”
“I would never think of speaking of anything else,” he smirked as he accepted a kiss from his now wife. “My wife would never let me hear the end of it.”
After she chuckled, (Y/N) turned to Harry, inspecting the boy’s exhausted expression tenderly. Looking at him without thinking of James became easier as the days passed. But sometimes, she couldn’t help the confusion in her brain. “Oh, darling,” she cooed. “You look so tired.”
“I haven’t been sleeping great,” he shrugged.
(Y/N) handed him one of the teacups as Remus placed a cookie on a napkin for Harry. “Eat,” she smiled. “You’ll feel better.”

Secret Time- Remus Lupin.
Pairing: Remus Lupin x fem!reader
Summary: Remus and Y/N's perfect date gets ruined by his big secret
Warnings: written in third person (she/her pronouns) (1.3k words)
Author’s note: this is a reupload, I wrote this a while ago!
Reblogs and comments are greatly appreciated<3
A plaid red and white blanket laid across the grass, Y/N is sat tossing grapes into the mouth of her boyfriend Remus. The sun had started to set, small candles magically lit around the blanket provided light for the young couple.
Ever since they met, Remus would do anything for her. She had been friends with the Marauders all through school, her friendship was always stronger with Remus.
There was just something so comforting being around him. He would listen to her when she talked about her problems no matter how small they were. She could feel how pure his love was, sometimes he would get angry but he had it controlled most of the time. He never lashed out at her but he was irritable sometimes. She figured he was just stressed about school.
During their fifth year, their relationship had blossomed into something more. Y/N had asked Remus to help her study for the O.W.L. exams, which he was more than happy to do so. His soft spot for her had only grown over time. He knew she had a crush on him very early on, but he didn't mind it. By the time fourth year came around, He realized that his feelings for her were more than platonic. Their "studying" consisted of reading about something educational for an hour, and goofing off until the late hours of the night. One day Remus finally asked her on a proper date, since it was very evident they liked each other.
They had become the happiest couple at the school. They were truly happy together.
Admiring his girlfriend in the dim light as she watched the night sky appear, he thought about how lucky he was to have her. She was everything he could want in a Woman and more. He daydreamed about his future with her. She spoke, bringing him back into reality
"The moon looks beautiful tonight, doesn't it?"
He looked up to see for himself, A full moon. "shit" he mumbled to himself
"Yeah, it really is" he replied, freaking out on the inside. Abruptly he stood up, he had to get out of there fast. "Y/N I'm so sorry but I just remembered I have a thing." "I'm truly sorry" he swore as he ran off toward a bunch of trees
Y/N didn't know what to say, she sat there confused. Remus had never done that to her, ever. She thought about the events before he ran off, Maybe I said something, she thought.
She waited and waited to see if he would come back. After an hour, it was apparent, He's not coming back. She cleaned up their picnic, she knew there was no use in wasting any more time waiting.
-
The next morning she woke up feeling sluggish. She stayed up thinking about all the reasons Remus would have runoff. The whole 'I have a thing' was obviously a lie, and not a very good one either. She brushed it off as best she could and started her day.
It was Saturday, she didn't have any plans so she mindlessly wandered around the castle. Passing by all of the couples who finally got to see each other after a long week, she feared something had shifted in her relationship.
No that's ridiculous, nothing is wrong, she told herself. She needed to find Remus to sort out this confusion.
Strolling through a mostly empty corridor, she heard whispering coming from the intersecting hallway. Footsteps getting louder as she got further. A group of boys turned down her hallway, going the opposite way.
It was her friends, the Marauders. When they saw her, the whispers stopped.
"Hi guys" She greeted, making them stop
"Hey Y/N what's going on" James asked trying not to make it obvious they were just talking about her.
"Nothing much, have you guys seen Remus today?" She noticed he wasn't with them like he usually was
"Nope haven't seen him" Sirius said scratching the back of his head as if he had no clue of what was going on
"Right." She said, not believing a word "Last night he ran off on our date said he had something to do, any clue what he was talking about?"
"No, but uh we'll let you know if we see him" James sent her a reassuring smile.
"Thanks, I'll see you guys later then" she said walking off turning down the hallway they just came from
They waited till she was out of sight to head to their destination. The hospital wing.
The boys pushed open the double doors, looking for their friend. Remus was on the far side of the room, sleeping off the events of the night before. They gathered around his bed waiting for him to wake.
"Do you think he'll tell Y/N?" Peter asked after some time
"I hope so, she doesn't deserve to be in the dark" Sirius said
"We'll tell him she was looking for him when he gets up" James added
Last night wasn't as bad as others, he looked all banged up but he's been through worse. Small cuts spread across his chest, bigger cuts wrapped in bandages on his arms. He stirred in the bed, his eyes fluttering open.
"Alright there mate?" Sirius said gently
Remus nodded slightly sitting up in the bed "How long was I out?" he asked
"Not long, few hours" James told him
"Oh my god, I ditched Y/N last night" he said aloud running a hand down his face
"Yeah, she told us" peter nodded
"Did you guys say anything to her, you know about this?" he asked pointing to the scratches on his body
"Of course not, it's not our place to tell" Sirius spoke for his friends
"Thank you truly, I have to tell her I just don't know how" he admitted "What if she thinks I'm a freak and breaks up with me?" Panic building in his chest
"Hey man this is Y/N we're talking about, that girl has loved you since the day she met you." James started
"James is right, you'd have to do something absolutely crazy to chase her away" Peter smiled
"Plus she already knows you're a freak anyway, this ain't nothing" Sirius chimed in, trying to cheer his best friend up
Remus laughed, he knew they were right but he still was afraid. "Okay I'll tell her, but right now I'm starving"
The boys helped their friend out of bed, he got dressed in the clothes from the night before. Thanking madam Pomfrey for helping him, Remus and his friends head out the door going to the great hall.
-
After lunch Remus went looking for Y/N, he needed to explain what happened. Searching throughout the campus for his girlfriend, he couldn't find her in her usual spots. The library, the common room, the courtyard, she wasn't there.
Giving up, he went back to the spot of their date. Walking onto the grass listening to the sound of the wind blowing on the warm spring day. He sat down in the area where he and Y/N had enjoyed themselves until things went south. Playing with the grass, rambling feet came from behind him.
"So you came back" She spoke, sitting next to the tall boy "You look like hell"
"Y/N" he sighed with relief "I was looking for you, I wanted to talk about yesterday. I really want to explain myself, if you'll let me" Remus said looking into her eyes.
She didn't respond, allowing him to proceed.
"I've been keeping something from you, a part of myself that I don't like. When I was a little boy, I was attacked by a werewolf and now every month I suffer the consequences of someone else's actions." He waited to see if her demeanor would change, it didn't
"I didn't tell you because I was afraid you would think less of me, that I was a monster-"
"Hey, Remus look at me. I would never think you were a monster. You are the most important person in my life, nothing could ever change that." she grabbed his hand, rubbing her thumb up and down his. "Thank you for telling me, I know it must've been difficult" she gently smiled
With his free hand, he brought it up to her cheek, cradling her face "I love you, Y/N" he whispered
"I love you too"
Remus leaned down, connecting their lips in a sweet but passionate kiss. Her hands traveled to his hair deepening the kiss.
A weight had been lifted off his shoulders, his secret was finally out.

Young!Remus Lupin x Reader - Never Stop Being You
For @loving-and-dreaming (and for anyone else who has ever felt like this) ; I hope this fic helps I saw it a while ago whilst I was reading Remus fics!
I hope you all enjoy this! 💛
“Y/n, I was thinking we could go to the library after potion classroom study?” Remus said, lifting his head up from the book he’d been enthralled in most of the morning.
“Yeah; that sounds good, hon-Remus,” Y/n replied with barely even a smile before she left the Gryffindor Common room altogether.
Remus’ eyes narrowed in both confusion and concern; a look that his fellow Marauders also mirrored.
Y/n loved the library, that’s where she spent eighty percent of her time when she wasn’t in classes and sure studying wasn’t her favorite thing to do but it was odd to see her so indifferent by what he said.
She also rarely called anyone by their first name unless it was her first time meeting them; or had told her to call them by their name. But Remus had never done that; in fact he found it adorable that she called him honey; it made his heart feel all warm and fuzzy.
So hearing his actual name fall from her lips was like a punch in the gut.
She hadn’t called him by his full name since they met each other; in their first year, they were now in their seventh….
“Did I just hear that correctly?” He asked; rubbing the back of his neck nervously; his mind trying to work out if maybe he had misheard her.
“Moony, what did you do?” Sirius questioned; his eyebrows raised as he looked at his friend; Sirius, much like Remus had rarely seen Y/n call anyone by their first name, the only time he’d experienced it was when she was really mad at him for pulling a prank on her, that went terribly wrong and ruined one of her favorite books.
Hence why Sirius assumed that Remus and Y/n had had a falling out.
However, Lily soon corrected that assumption, “He hasn’t done anything,”
“She’s been like that for a few days,” Marlene continued with a sigh, as she twiddled her quill in between her fingers, “It’s like she’s stopping herself from saying the nicknames she’s called us for years…”
Remus hadn’t been around as much the last few days because of the full moon, he’d spent most of his time in the hospital wing and in his dorm room; today was the first real day he’d felt strong enough to go back to classes.
Something had happened to Y/n…and he couldn’t help the ache of guilt in his chest at the thought of something happening to her and him not being there.
But he was here now; and he was going to find out what had happened to make her act unlike herself.
~~~~~
Throughout the rest of the day, Remus kept an eye on Y/n…and although it was exactly like Marlene had said, she was calling everyone by their first name, avoiding all the nicknames she used to call people; there was also something else going on.
She was quiet; unusually so.
She barely cracked a smile at Sirius’ joke in Charms class; and Remus knew that that was a joke she would’ve normally laughed at.
It was like a Dementor had come along and sucked all of the happiness out of her.
In fact he was fully prepared for her not to show up to their study session today; but a small wave of relief washed over him when he saw her making her way over to him.
“Hey,” Remus greeted softly as she sat down; there were a million questions racing around in his head, but he thought it was best to let her get comfortable before he started asking her questions.
After an hour of studying; it was not Remus who broke the silence they were in, it was Y/n.
“What’s wrong? She asked; her eyes not once dithering from the book she was reading.
“Shit,” Remus mumbled under his breath; as he looked up at Y/n. He’d been hoping that she was so engrossed in her charms book to notice his worried glances; clearly, he was wrong.
“I could ask you the same question?” He countered gently; closing the book he’d been trying and failing to read.
“I’m fine,” she stated bluntly; trying to ignore the concern in Remus’ eyes as he looked at her.
“I’m just saying…if there’s something wrong…you can talk to me, Y/n/n y’know that right?” he smiled reassuringly.
He knew she was lying when she said she was fine; but he also respected that maybe she didn’t want to talk about what was wrong right now and as much as he wanted her to tell him what was wrong so he could help her, he also wasn’t going to push her.
“Why does everyone think there’s something wrong with me?” Y/n snapped; silencing the minimal chitter in the background as she gathered her belongings and quickly left the library.
He swore he saw her wipe a few tears from her cheek before she left; and that just made his heart ache even more as his mind fought with itself for a few moments; trying to decide what the best thing to do was, if he went after her he was worried that she would feel like she didn’t have any space; but alternatively he also hated the thought of her being alone whilst she was upset.
He couldn’t leave her.
So he rushed after her, trying to think of where she could be.
He tried all the usual places he thought he’d find her; and then all of the less likely places; and he couldn’t find James who had the map, so that ruled that out as an option of trying to find her.
It was a complete and utter coincidence that he bumped into her quite literally while he was walking towards the Quidditch pitch where James and Sirius were.
“Y/n/n-” his words stopped in his throat when he saw just how puffy and red her eyes were.
“C’mere,” he whispered, pulling her into his arms; a gesture which she didn’t fight against; instead, she simply melted into the warmth and comfort of his arms, as he rubbed her back soothingly.
“I’m sorry,” She sniffled, pulling herself away from him slightly so that she could wipe her tears away.
“You don’t need to be sorry,” he cooed; continue to rub small circles into her back; while his other hand rose to her face, caressing her cheek.
“Am I too much?” She asked, the question catching Remus completely off guard.
“Am I too nice; too bubbly, just…too much, I know people don’t always like nicknames…and I can be a bit too loud sometimes; that’s not something I’m not used to hearing but I didn’t think it annoyed people, is it annoying?”
The words were falling from her lips faster than Remus’ mind could keep up with; but after a few seconds the words had processed.
“It’s not annoying, not at all,” he said, tilting her head up slightly so that their eyes met, “Why don’t you start from the beginning?”
So she did.
She explained what had happened a few nights ago; that a handful of students had said that she was too friendly and nice to everyone; that she was too bubbly and should learn to not talk as much, and the nicknames she called people, like honey were just weird.
And that was all because she offered to help them with an assignment.
“I was…I was just trying to help,” she continued; picking the skin around her thumb anxiously.
“I know and there is nothing wrong with that,” Remus stated, taking her hands in his, “you don’t have to shrink who you are just because other people can’t appreciate how brilliant you are,”
“I’m not brilliant,” she mumbled, her thumbs rubbing along the side of my knuckle.
“Yes, you are,” he argued; though his tone remained soft, as his thumb traced over her bottom lip.
“You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest and most beautiful person I have known and even that is an understatement,” he breathed, unknowingly closing the small distance between them; until their lips were almost touching.
He glanced down at her lips, before meeting her eyes, silently asking her if this was okay.
She didn’t say anything; she simply closed the distance between them herself.
The initial shock of her lips on his made him stumble back a little; thankfully it was not enough to break the kiss; he wished his lips could heal her hurt, he wished he could kiss the pain away and show her just how amazing she was in his eyes.
“You are amazing,” he breathed in between kisses before placing one last kiss on her forehead, before pulling her back into his arms, “and I will always remind you of that.”
OLIVIA/STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
(not sure)
But bully!remus where the reader is so confused why Remus was so mean towards her yet so sweet to everyone else. Happy ending please
First of all hi!! Thank you for following 💖✨
I think the mean in him is more about being cold and contradicting anything you say. It usually is just petty, but when he wants to be mine he really truly is.
In reality Remus has spent sooo much time learning about you to actually hurt you that what he has discovered he has really liked. He enjoys your taste in music, he is enthralled by the books you like. But he can’t tell you that. He enjoys seeing you pout; he doesn’t think since to him it’s not that deep that he is hurting you that bad. But he is.
And one day Lily is wearing this beautiful maroon dress that makes her look so so so good but the dress is yours and Remus can’t quite put his finger on where has he seen it before.
“Wow Evans, look at you. The dress brings out your eyes.”
“Actually Y/N-“
“What about them? I really don’t need to hear it, ew.”
“Rem ew it’s kinda mean, don’t you think?”
“No. No he doesn’t.” You interrupt, fed up with him. “Because I wore the dress last week and it was tacky and it made me look weird, didn’t it Remus?”
“It’s not that deep.”
“But it is! Because I’ve done nothing to you, but you just hate me SO MUCH. And for what? I never want to see you again. Ever. You are the meanest, foulest man ever Remus Lupin. I don’t want anything to do with you.”
It takes you breaking his heart to realize he has broken yours and fucked up big time. And he know you won’t forgive him even if he begs on his knees. He has gone too far. So he starts doing little things, earning your trust back. He doesn’t even start with compliments, it starts with kindness. He starts being warm.
By month three, you won’t budge. The only progress is the fact that you two can coexist in the same room, but it’s driving Remus mad.
Six months later, Remus can’t take it anymore and you don’t expect him to find him obliterated in your doorstep, on his knees begging for forgivness.
“Remus? It’s three am get up off the floor.”
“Not until you forgive me.” He slurs.
“You’re drunk.”
“And you are beautiful.”
You sigh, and you help him inside. He just doesn’t want to let you go. At all. His arms are around you, and when you lay him in your bed in hopes to let him sleep the drunk away. But he just goes on and on about how beautiful you are and how pretty you look and how he needed you to just forgive him because not seeing you smile was like being caught in a rainstorm on your own.
You softly smile at him. You were not going to give in that easily but it melted your heart a little that he really meant how sorry he was. Maybe forgiving Remus wasn’t that bad. Maybe you could get used to his arms around you at night and him looking at you like the you are the most precious thing to ever walk on Earth.
A Need for Adventure
Lupin x Male!Reader
Requested by: @acolote009
Masterlist
Not only is this my first request but it's also my first xMale!reader fic so I hope it makes sense and it's not too short. Also, I'm sorry I took kind of long to finish this. Had some personal matters I had to take care of but finally had the time and energy to finish it up this week. Hope you like it and feedback is appreciated!
Brief summary: Can the son of a politician and the world's most wanted thief ever be together? It may seem impossible but there is only one way to find out. You had to jump through some hoops but in the end, it may not be impossible after all.
Content Contains: use of y/n, male reader, fluff, SFW
——————————————————————————
His dark-brown eyes, his silly little smile, and that charismatic charm you keep hearing about. Arsène Lupin the Third was the only thing occupying your mind right now. You saved every newspaper clipping and taped every news report about him and his antics, but that wasn’t enough. You needed him: his touch, his warmth, his voice against your ear, his lips on yours.
But deep down you knew that it wasn’t meant to be.
Your father was a renowned politician meaning that your life was all but private. Everything you did was under the scrutiny of the public eye. Your relationship status, location, and the words that left your mouth were all known. If you were to give into your desires to be with Lupin, your sexuality would then be known, and that is something your father and the rest of the world would not let you get away with.
And to top it all off, he was one of the world’s most wanted criminals. If your homosexuality wouldn’t land you in hot water first, then the fact that you were in love with a good-for-nothing thief would surely do it. Which was ironic given how all of the so-called “leaders” of this country have done worse things than Lupin the Third ever has.
But it didn’t matter to you anymore. You needed to finally meet him.
Using your connections and the exorbitant amount of money in your bank account, you located Lupin and had a message delivered to him. He was to meet you at a restricted location in a nearby country to yours. There, you would ask him to steal one of the world’s most valuable items: the crown of the original king of your country from ancient times. It was made of some of the oldest materials and the rarest jewels in the world. You told him that you just hated your dad and that you wanted to show the government how lousy it was, but only you knew of the real reason you summoned him. Once he arrived, you explained the plan to him.
“And of course, you can keep the crown. So what do you say, Lupin?”
“You're my savior you know that! I didn’t know what to get my Fujicakes for her birthday but now I do! Of course I accept!” Lupin exclaims while jumping for joy like a cartoon character.
Your heart sinks. You should’ve known that he would never see you in that way. You heard a rumor that he and his partner Jigen used to have a thing so you hoped that maybe he was into guys, too. But even if he was, you were no competition compared to Fujiko Mine, Lupin’s greatest love. Your thoughts were interrupted by Daisuke Jigen speaking.
“Good freakin’ grief, man. It’s always gotta be that woman. You already know MY answer to this.”
“Agreed. Even if this wasn’t for Fujiko, I don’t want to be roped into some theft for petty reasons. Besides if there is no reward in it for me, then I must part ways as well.” Lupin’s other partner, Goemon Ishikawa, expresses as he and Jigen begin to leave.
“And as always, I don’t need you guys anyway. Me & (y/n) can do it ourselves, isn’t that right?”
You shake your head in agreement. The truth is that you did have enough money to offer Jigen and Goemon, but the selfish part of you wanted to spend time with Lupin and only Lupin. Even if he didn’t love you back, you would at least cherish every second you were by his side.
____
In order to steal the crown, you first had to practice being fast enough to get to it. Your job was to be the look out and to disengage the alarm system at the precise moment. Lupin would then have three minutes to snatch it up. Once all was said and done, you had to reengage the alarm to make it look as if nothing had happened. On top of all this though, you had one more obstacle to pass: Zenigata.
Inspector Zenigata of ICPO was Lupin’s number-one fan. His life’s purpose was to catch Lupin although the most he ever did was play what was pretty much an elaborate game of tag with him. Unfortunately for Zenigata, Lupin was always one step ahead. Even if he gets captured, he always finds a way out.
The two of you found a warehouse where you replicated the heist scenario as best you could. Being the son of an esteemed politician and having nearly infinite funds in your bank account aided you in obtaining classified information from the right people without raising suspicion. You got access to the floor plans of the building as well as the manual for the alarm system. Lupin had asked Jigen and Goemon to act as Zenigata and the other security guards to add some more realism. You were kind of hoping they would decline but to your dismay, they went along with it. It ended up being only for three days though, so you still had a significant amount of alone time with your crush.
Thanks to some additional bribing and the fact that your dad was always busy, you were able to get two hotel rooms where you were at without anyone knowing you even left. After your practice sessions, you would retire to your own room and Lupin to his. For the first few nights, you were able to control your desires somewhat decently. He still plagued your mind when you were awake, but you subdued your wish to tell him how you felt. As the week dragged on, however, it was getting more and more difficult to contain yourself. The space next to you began feeling cold and empty and you wished that he was there laying beside you.
The night before the flight back to your country, you couldn’t take it anymore.
At first, you tried to be logical about the situation and told yourself that a relationship with him could only be achieved in your dreams. He couldn’t like you back, right? After all, he only accepted your job offer because of Fujiko. You knew you had absolutely no chance, but you couldn’t hold it in any longer.
It was already past midnight, but you knew that you wouldn’t get any sleep if you didn’t confess to him. This was your last chance and you were going to take it. With a dry mouth, sweaty palms, and legs that could turn to jelly at any moment, you knocked on his door. You didn’t want to knock on the door again and wake up the other guests, so you waited a few moments before deciding to head back. Maybe it was for the best that you kept silent.
Just as you were about to turn to leave, he opened the door.
“(y/n), what are you doing here?” he says with a yawn and as his hands rub his tired eyes. There was no turning back now. You were both regretful and thankful that he opened the door. You tried to speak but no words came out of your mouth.
“Is something wrong?” you nod your head and he invites you in. You sit in a chair and he sits on the edge of his bed across you. “Would you like some water?” you nod again and he fulfills your request. After taking a few sips, you cleared your throat and began to speak.
“I need to talk to you about something that’s been on my mind. I apologize upfront if it makes you uncomfortable. You can call off the heist and leave after I tell you, but I just can’t stay quiet anymore. I’ll never forgive myself if I do.”
“Hey, it’s okay. As long as you’re not secretly plotting against me, I’m sure it’s fine.”
You look down at the floor and take a deep breath.
“Ever since I saw you on the news a few years ago, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you. I admire your sense of freedom, how you stick it to governments and rich people, your charming nature, and just everything about you. I never really cared about the damn crown, I just wanted to at least meet you once in my life.” You waited a few seconds to hear his response, but you were met with silence. “You probably get so many people that try to do this to you. I understand if you want to leave. I’m so sorry.”
____
Unbeknownst to you, Lupin grew to taking a liking to you the more he spent time with you. It was true that he had a preference for women and that he hasn’t dated a man since Jigen all those years ago, but there was something about you that made his heart feel at home.
He genuinely had a great time with you this past week. From the setting up of the recreation of the crown room, to the rush he felt when trying to get the timing right, and your time together eating at some of the finest restaurants, he wanted more of this. But he felt he had no chance with you since you were the son of a government official.
Your laugh, your voice, your smile- he couldn’t stop thinking about all of you. The thing that really got him though were the conversations you two shared. Up until now, the only people he felt understood him were Jigen, Goemon, and of course Fujiko. But then why would a guy he just met make him feel the same way? In fact, he felt he was able to open up to you about things that he just couldn’t tell the others. Fujiko was the one he felt understood him the most out of the three but he must’ve felt closer to you because you shared the same gender.
He was going to see how things went and if he still felt the same way after the heist, he was going to tell you, so he was surprised when you came knocking on his door and revealed how you felt. He was usually cool and collected when it came to flirting and relationships, but you rendered him speechless. Something no one else had ever done before. Warmth and redness spread throughout his face and he eventually gathered his thoughts.
___
You were about to get up and leave before he interrupted you.
“No, stay. I- I’ve just had a lot on my mind and I’m honestly kind of shocked,” he admits while rubbing the back of his neck. “You’re the son of one of the most influential politicians of your country. What are you doing wanting to run around with a thief like me?” he lets out a small chuckle.
“I don’t really know… maybe it’s because I long to be as free as you and to go on crazy adventures. I’m tired of this boring life and of being told who I can and can’t be attracted to. If I’m going to share my life with someone someday, I want it to be with you. But if you don’t want to then that’s f-”
“But I do,” he interrupts you. “I know I fall in love with people easily, but there’s been something missing from everyone else, and although I just met you, I finally feel like I’ve found that missing something. Besides, Fujcakes just dumped me for some rich crazy bastard that thinks he can make a time machine if he exploits enough people, so my schedule’s pretty much open. I just want you to really think this through. You sure you can keep up with little ol’ me?”
Without hesitation, you nod your head. “Please, Lupin. I need you and I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.”
He stands up and walks towards you. “Then I, Lupin the Third, vow to show you a life full of crazy adventures.” He holds his hand out to you and you take it. Lupin helps you stand and he places his other hand on your cheek. His thumb runs over your lips. “May I?” he asks and you nod knowing he means he wants to kiss you. You place your unoccupied hand on his chest and lean into him. For someone who is constantly on the run and getting into all sorts of violent scenarios, his lips are soft. Surprisingly, both his hands and kiss are gentle, too. It’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of and more.
That night, you didn’t return to your room. Instead, you stayed in Lupin’s and despite the fact you had a long day ahead of you tomorrow, you stayed up laying next to him and conversing about all sorts of things as he held you close. Luckily, your flight wouldn’t be until midday, so you had time to sleep in. Lupin decided he wanted to steal the crown in the end. He planned on selling it on the black market and use the money to buy you anything you wanted and take you anywhere you wanted to go. You decided that after the heist, you would never return to your country again and agreed to live the rest of your life as a criminal.
You felt at ease knowing that you finally had him and weren’t going to lose him. The sound of his heartbeat and the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed lulled you into the deepest sleep you’ve ever had in your life.
Bad Ideas Part 10
Regulus Black au
Summary: It started as nothing now it’s something. Voldemort has been defeated but that doesn’t mean the wizarding world is still a good place to be.
Pairings: Regulus Black x Reader
Link to Part 9
Warnings: Smut
____
“With me, Y/n gets to come first. She had always come second to Harry and for once she gets to come first. That’s what makes me good for her.”
Regulus crossed his arms over his chest and glared at James as the venomous words left his mouth. He was relieved that everyone in the room looked super uncomfortable. Remus and Sirius exchanged and looked as if asking each other if they didn’t do enough to show you that you were special too…had they not shown you that you mattered just as much as Harry? Meanwhile, James and Lily looked at each other before returning to Regulus.
“What do you mean?”
James asked. Regulus' mouth dropped as he started at James as if he was the biggest idiot imaginable.
“Really? Do I really need to spell it out for you? I get it that you were dead and all most of her life but Jesus Christ do you really not get it? Oh bloody hell fine…Harry is the chosen one. Harry is the best thing ever. Harry this…Harry that…but what about Y/n? No, nothing. Nothing until I came along. Forget the fact that Y/n and Hermione are the brightest in their class, Y/n did a lot of work for The Order, or Y/n is the youngest healer at the hospital. Right, your daughter is a healer…you probably don’t know that. There is also the fact without Y/n, Harry would have probably just crawled into a little hollow log and died…but yes, let's forget about everything that Y/n has done and focus on Harry.”
Again, no one in the room said a word after Regulus’ rant. Harry awkwardly started rubbing the back of his neck.
“So, I have always cared about Y/n.”
He started but stopped when Regulus held a hand up.
“Shut up. This isn’t about you.”
Harry considered ripping Regulus a new one but decided that he was actually right. He had seen you be put on the back burner plenty of times. You always were gracious about it too and this made Harry feel even worse. Of all of the shit that the two of you had been through, you never made a fuss or complained when Harry got all of the glory. Instead, you remained in the shadows and were always your brother’s biggest supporter.
Remus took a breath before speaking. In his mind, Remus felt that he always did a good job of treating both Harry and himself equally. Remus always tried to recognize each child’s strong points and help with the parts that needed work. Remus had realized just how bright you were right away. You were, in his mind, always a gifted child. Learning and knowledge came easily to you. Remus always enjoyed how you could easily catch up with particularly difficult spells, literature, or anything else that he sent your way.
He also felt bad for Sirius because he, too, went out of his way to make sure that you felt seen and heard. The look on Sirius’ face broke Remus’ heart. Sirius had been looking down at his feet feeling like it was Walburga, not Regulus, letting him have it. The way that Regulus’ tone was deadly and icy made him feel so much smaller. Hearing Regulus say that you weren’t appreciated was particularly painful as Sirius had wanted a relationship with both of his godchildren before either of you realized who he was.
“No one is denying that Y/n isn’t exceptionally brilliant. I am very proud of the woman that she has become…”
Remus started but was silenced by Regulus.
“Don’t even, Lupin. Yeah, you try but Harry still comes first to Sirius and yourself. I’ve seen it happen so don’t try and baffle me with your bullshit.” Regulus turned his attention back to James and Lily. He wanted to chuckle at the expressions on their faces. Lily was the first to speak.
“I know that we can’t say much given the situation at hand but we love Y/n just as much as Harry. We never wanted to show any preference between the two…we definitely wouldn’t even consider it now.”
Regulus gave her a skeptical frown. While he wanted to believe Lily, Regulus would have to see proof of her words before his mind was fully changed.
“I guess we will just have to see on that one, Lily.”
Regulus replied. James took a breath. He wanted to ask Sirius and Remus if Regulus was telling the truth. Were you really the “shadow child” who was forgotten? Something told James that wasn’t particularly true…at least not all of it. James knew Remus and Sirius. There had to be some trying on their part. The expression on Sirius’ face told James that.
“You’re not the only one that cares about Y/n, Regulus.”
Regulus narrowed his eyes on James. He had a feeling that he would be disliking James a lot more than he already did. Something told him that his relationship with James, when it came to you, was going to be a rough one. If James thought for one moment that Regulus was just going to stand idly by and let you be hurt, disappointed, or made to feel less than important…James had another thing coming! Regulus would take extra care to make James’ life miserable.
“Isn’t that nice? Good luck to you, I suppose. Something tells me that you are going to need it.”
James stepped forward.
“I won’t be needing any luck, Black. I’m her father and I will be there for her. I don’t care that you are her boyfriend and I find the whole relationship creepy…you aren’t controlling her or keeping her away from us.”
Regulus chuckled.
“You do realize that I know enough dark magic to stop you. I could also just throw you out the window…”
Remus, having enough, finally stepped in.
“James, Regulus…that’s enough. Regulus, why don’t you go upstairs and check on Y/n? I think we all need a breather.”
Regulus gave James and Lily another glare before turning and leaving the room.
An uncomfortable silence fell upon the room as no one moved to speak right away. It was Sirius that spoke first. He had finally looked up from his feet. The pain and discontent were still so painfully obvious on his face.
“I always thought that we did well showing Y/n attention but maybe Regulus is right. Maybe Y/n has always felt second best and we just didn’t see it.”
James ran a hand through his hair. He immediately knew what Sirius was thinking. He was thinking about his childhood…Regulus’ childhood. Sirius had told James many times that Regulus had always been treated like second best. He was always the “second son.” He wasn’t the “heir.” Regulus was never anything valued until Sirius bailed on the Blacks.
Now here you were “the second daughter” (even if it was only by 12 minutes) possibly feeling the same way that Regulus did growing up. Something told James, however, that Sirius had learned from his childhood and tried his best to stop that from happening to you.
“I doubt it, Sirius. I know that you, of all people, would have taken extra care to make sure she was treated special. You wouldn’t have wanted her to be treated like Regulus.”
James replied, hoping to bring his best friend some comfort. Sirius sighed before going to sit down while Harry stepped up.
“Sorry to say it but I do agree with Regulus. With the exception of Remus and Sirius, Y/n has been treated like second best a lot. I hate siding with him on anything but he has been good for her. Y/n is happy with Regulus and I don’t think asking her to leave him would do anyone any good. Y/n doesn’t do a damn thing that she doesn’t want to.”
Harry could say that last sentence with 100% confidence. You were a lot of things and stubborn was one of them.
James sighed before moving to sit down beside Sirius with a groan.
“This sucks!”
(meanwhile)
Regulus stepped into his bedroom feeling somewhat better after unloading on everyone. Did he think that he was wrong with anything that he said? No, absolutely not. Regulus hated seeing the disappointment on your face whenever one of your accomplishments was downplayed while Harry was boosted up higher as “the chosen one.”
Regulus hated to say it but your childhood had so many parallels to his. You were subjected to cold guardians who honestly didn’t care, you were ignored for a sibling who could do no wrong, and you were lonely. Regulus sighed at the memory of you telling him how isolated you felt at times.
“Even when I am around my friends, sometimes I feel as though I’m in a room full of strangers who really don’t know anything about me.”
That had been the sentence that broke Regulus’ heart. That was something Regulus would have said at any point in his childhood.
Shaking his head from the negative emotions, Regulus turned his attention to where you sat on the sofa near the fireplace. He took a breath and started in your direction. As much as Regulus hated emotions and dealing with them, he knew that right now he had to. He had to pick up the pieces that were shattered all over the place.
“Are you okay?”
He asked softly before sitting down beside you. You turned in his direction and smiled slightly.
“I’m okay…a little shocked but I’m okay. I never expected my parents to turn up. Not that I am not happy or thrilled…I was just shocked to see them.”
Regulus nodded as you wrapped your hand around his and laid your head on his shoulder.
“I heard what you said to them.”
Regulus winced. He never wanted you to hear that.
“You heard that?”
You giggled before beginning to toy with the rings on his left hand.
“The whole house heard you, love. I know that you hate being compared to Sirius under any circumstance but when the two of you get mad…your voices carry.”
Regulus winced. Damn, you knew him well. There was no point in arguing on that one.
“I wasn’t aiming for you to hear any of that.”
“You weren’t wrong on any of it. I will say that Remus and Sirius have tried. Sure they have their shortcomings but they have tried to treat Harry and me the same. Thank you, by the way.”
Regulus raised an eyebrow before turning to look at you with a slightly confused expression.
“For?”
You moved to wiggle your way onto Regulus’ lap. Leaning forward, you pressed your lips to his kissing him softly before pulling away.
“For always putting me first…for making me feel like the most important thing in the world.”
Regulus wrapped his arms around your waist and carried you to the bed. Lying you down gently, Regulus took his place over you. Cupping your cheek, Regulus’ grey eyes locked on yours. Staring into Regulus’ eyes always made you feel as though he could see right into your soul.
“Because you are the most important thing in the world to me. None of this other stuff…these other people…they mean nothing compared to you. I would walk away from all of it to keep you happy.”
You couldn’t help the smile that spread to your face. While Regulus wasn’t overly a “mushy” person when it came to romance, when he put effort into it he was the perfect lover.
“You’re the most important thing in my world too. Reggie, I don’t want you to worry about anything with my parents. No matter what they could say will ever change how I feel about you.”
Regulus was beyond relieved to hear those words leave your mouth. He hadn’t really considered telling you (at least not at the moment) but parts of him were worried about James and Lily’s return. Would they try to poison you against him? Would they try to weasel their way in and say “It doesn’t matter if he still looks 18 or that he hasn’t aged due to being dead…he’s too old for you.” The better question was would you believe them?
That had been Regulus’ number 1 fear since seeing James and Lily alive. Now he heard what he needed to.
“I love you, Y/n.”
You were stunned to hear those words leave Regulus’ perfect mouth. In all of the time that the two of you had been a couple saying those three words hadn’t happened. Something told you that it would be harder for Regulus to say I love you than anything else. After growing up the way he did, talking about love had to be a difficult subject.
Now hearing “I love you” flow so perfectly from his lips, you knew that you would do whatever it took to keep those words coming.
“I love you too, Regulus.”
Regulus was beyond thrilled when you reciprocated his feelings. Call it trauma from his childhood, but Regulus was afraid that you wouldn’t say it back…that you would never love him as much as he loved you. Now that fear could be put to rest.
Leaning in for another kiss, Regulus smiled against your mouth.
“How about we make some noise to make everyone uncomfortable?”
Day 25 of @remadoramicrofics - Ina Dark Dark Wood
Nymphadora supposed, as she trudged towards Remus Lupin’s silhouette, that this was how moths felt as they fluttered about unattended candles. They couldn’t explain their draw to the sun, they could only follow it, no matter how ill-advised. She had spent the past few months being told to forget about her infatuation with the grumpy werewolf, that it was bad for her health, and, with him fleeing at every chance he got, she didn’t have any sound evidence to suggest the contrary.
“Are you done trying to kill yourself?” She asked as she reached him.
“Hm?” he asked as he stared at her.
“Well, you’ve rushed off to the werewolf camp and now you look like you're debating a swim. Just wondering if –”
“Dumbledore needed –”
“I don’t care, Remus,” she ground out, looking away from him.
“So you’ve said.”
He started to turn away, but Tonks caught his wrist. “Tell me you don’t feel the same, Remus, tell me you don’t love me and I won’t –”
“You know I can’t do that, Nymphadora,” he protested.
“Don’t call me –”
“And don’t you see how dangerous that is?”
“I’ve never –” she felt her anger flare and he cut her off again.
“Nymphadora, I need you to understand –”
She felt like there were a thousand bees buzzing in her ears and the anger swelled in her. More than that, was the sadness that flowered at the idea that Remus found his own love to be dangerous. She pressed up onto her toes and caught his robes, pulling him close as she crashed their lips together. Remus tensed, but his hands, maybe of their own accord, held her, one looping around her waist and the other resting on her shoulder.
As they parted, slightly out of breath, Remus stared down at her wide-eyed. “I-I– We can’t –”
“Yes, we can, Remus. There’s a damn war going on and you have the nerve to think you’re the most dangerous thing to me, an auror and an Order member.”
He swallowed thickly and Tonks waited, biting her tongue. “Let’s go for a walk,” he said eventually. Anyone else might have taken it for a rejection, but Tonks knew better. Remus was private, he wouldn’t want to get caught making out on school grounds, not after his unceremonious ousting.
“Alright,” she agreed as she slid her hand into his.
“Afraid of the Forest?” he asked as he led her along.
“Are you?”
He smirked, “No, I’m used to being the scariest thing on this campus.”
“Oh, that can’t be true,” she chided as they followed a path into the dark woods. The branches were so thick that it nearly pitch black.
“Have you ever been here?”
Tonks shook her head. She had never seen much need to venture past the edge, though Charlie had been sent out here with a group for detention once.
Remus nodded. “I had to come a couple of times with James and Sirius for detention.”
“Sirius did always say you were a trouble maker.”
Remus snorted, but didn’t refute the accusation. “It’s also where we spent a lot of transformations.”
“Where do you spend them, now?”
He looked her over for a moment before he sighed. “Recently? At the camp, with the others. Before that, at Grimmauld Place with Sirius.”
“Before that?” she pressed. She wanted him to know she was all in, furry little problem be damned.
“I own a cabin…in wales. It’s seen better days, but it suffices.”
“By yourself?” He nodded, leading her to the left of a y in the path. “I could –”
“No,” he said firmly.
She turned to him, her mouth twisted in a pout. “You don’t even know what I was going to say.”
He smiled knowingly at her. “You’re not coming to see the cabin and you’re not spending a transformation with me.”
“That’s not what I was going to say,” she told him as she pulled him along the path. “I was going to say I could take us to my place.”
He looked at her. “Nympha– Tonks, I don’t think –”
“Why? I’m not afraid of you and I make enough money that I don’t need any financial support from you, and I’m old enough to date whomever I please, so why won’t you really come?”
He sighed as if the act was particularly painful. “Everyone I’ve ever loved has died, Tonks, and I can’t subject you to the same –”
She scoffed. “Be serious, Remus, none of those deaths have been your fault. You weren’t the spy and Peter had everyone fooled, Bellatrix wasn’t going to let Sirius live, and no one could have known about Dumbledore.” Remus started to protest, but Tonks pressed on, “And one day, no matter how careful I am or you are or how much we try, I’ll die. Everyone does, you know, it’s inevitable. The important thing, the thing that makes death a little less painful, is making sure that you live while you have the chance. Because if you aren’t living, you’re just waiting for death. How long have you been waiting, Remus, and how much longer are you going to?”
He stared at her for a long moment before he crashed his lips to hers. Tonks’s hands immediately found their way into his hair and along the nape of his neck while his hands twisted in her robes and pulled her close. He drew back and she was about to protest when he whispered in her ear, “I love you, Nymphadora Tonks, and I have for a long time.”
“I love you, too, Remus Lupin,” she said into his neck, “Now please come home with me. Like, right now.” She felt, more than saw, him nod and quickly apparated them to her front door.
sirius painting remus' scars
[ sirius black x remus lupin, 862 words ]
sirius admired remus head to toe. he was utterly infatuated with the boy who absolutely hated himself. to sirius, remus was the most ethereal being that he ever laid his eyes on. for remus, he was a coldblooded monster who was no better than everyone else.
remus cursed as he looked himself in the mirror, trying to wrap the idea around in his head of how he did this all. the amount of scars that formed on the boy’s skin were ungodly. turning around, he saw scars that ranged from new to old settling down for years to come. sirius stood in the doorway and watched remus make a fool of himself before making his presence known.
“moony? alright there?” sirius questioned, motioning towards remus who was in his own world.
startled, remus quickly put his jacket on. “yeah, ‘m alright.”
“are you still feeling down from the moon? we don’t have to meet james if you’re not up for it. matter of fact, how about it be the both of us this evening.” sirius hooked his arm around remus’ shoulder, walking side by side.
remus knew his friend wasn’t stupid. sirius always knew when his moony needed a good cheering up, and this was one of those moments.
it started with ‘breaking’ into the kitchen after the elves had left. sirius had so much he wanted to do in order to cheer his best friend up. he thought getting all of remus’ snacks would be the opener for tonight’s events.
endless ideas circled around in sirius’ head. what could make his moony feel better? he knew how remus would sometimes draw over the smallest of scars on his hands so he wouldn’t see them. it was like a bulb flickered on in his head. sirius wanted to give remus the gift of not having to worry about the look of his skin, just for one night.
“it’s almost midnight, pads, what else do you have planned out?” remus yawned.
“one more thing, and you don’t have to agree.” the words intrigued him. "lily got these from her holiday and i just so happened to borrow some watercolor and brushes.” sirius held the metal box that contained an assortment of watercolors and a tin that had a couple brushes.
“so.. you want me to paint?” remus looked at him confused. “sirius, we're going to make a mess and we both know i'm going to clean it up while you watch.” he complained.
sirius shook his head. “think of it as if we were the canvas, our skin. i want you to see the way i see you, vise versa.”
“okay,” remus managed to get out.
on the inside, remus had the annoying feeling of butterflies swarming around in his stomach. on the outside, he was scared. of course, sirius had seen his scars before, everyone had, but this was more than just seeing them.
remus watched as the boy transformed their shared dorm into a mini art studio of sorts. a white sheet laid on the middle of the floor with the color palettes scattered around it.
remus shrugged off his jacket and laid it aside. he watched sirius rummage through his trunk for god knows what. “change into something other than your uniform, wouldn’t want to go to classes with green paint on your jumper.” sirius chuckled, his voice muffled.
semus sat on the floor, pulling his favorite blanket down with him. while he waited for sirius, he tested out the colors on his hand that he liked the most.
“okay.” sirius said. “do you want me to go first?” he asked. remus nodded.
remus painted with delicacy. he chose different colors that he personally thought suited sirius’ skin or furthermore, what he thought sirius’ favorite colors were. he went with a combination of both.
sirius was in awe from the work that remus had done. he had gorgeous marks of earthy tones going up and down his arms, marks of blue and white trailing up his back, and lastly, a small sun that was accompanied by a full moon.
“wow. remus- this is incredible. i knew you were talented but this,” sirius looked in the mirror. “you did amazing.”
a smile grew on remus’ face. “you really think so?”
“are you kidding me? hell yeah.” sirius reassured him.
It was now sirius’ turn to paint. remus had done so well on him that he was nowhere near as confident in his drawing skills as he once was.
sirius dipped the brush into the tin and onto the color palette. unsure of the colors he wanted to choose, he decided to ask the boy himself what he wanted to be painted on him. “flowers. I think that would be nice.”
he started on remus’ back. it held the largest scars, the ones remus was terrified of. sirius chose a variety of colors and started to plan out his creation. after drying, he began working down remus’ body, not missing a single speck that the boy hated on his skin.
“moony?” sirius asked softly.
“yeah?”
“i think you look beautiful with or without your scars.”
i saw a quote of "no thoughts, just sirius painting remus' scars" from another tumblr page that i cant find anymore but!! first little fic xx
My Everything | S.B
Paring: Sirius Black X Wife!Reader
Summary: When five marauders goes to two within the instance of a day. Two children are left without fathers and a wife is left without a husband.
Request: Sirius Black x Wife!reader reuniting and she's Remus sister
A/N: My first Harry Potter request. I got so excited to see this in my inbox and I hope it isn’t the last :)
Perhaps it was the feeling of betrayal she felt when he was finally gone. The fact that everything he’d ever said was a lie. She couldn’t help but think maybe his vows were a lie too. The five Marauders were now two. Only two left. How did this even happen?
The unbreakable group of five. James Potter, the so-called leader of them all. The mom friend who always made sure everyone was okay and cared for. Sirius Black, the second in command. The mischievous, charismatic troublemaker who was always in detention. Peter Pettigrew, the outcast of them all. The shy and naive boy who gave them all a sense of logic. Remus Lupin, the intelligent and solace of them all. The only boy smart enough not to get caught. Y/n Lupin, the creative and sneaky one. The only one who could sneak and out of the Potions cabinet without Slughorn noticing.
Now it was just the Lupin twins who, as Sirius called them, the “Linking Lupins.” It was hard in the beginning. First-year was difficult. All they had was each other. Lyall hadn’t really been accepting in the first place, but Hope was always blissfully unaware of her son's problem. All she knew was that he had to go away once a month. Lyall cursed himself out every night that Remus went away, cursing himself for letting this happen to his son.
The cries of his baby girl begging for her brother. The wails of Y/n pleading for Remus not to go away. Not wanting to let go of him, hearing Remus from inside the room in the basement begging to be let out. Sobbing, crying for his mum or his dad to let him out, praying that the wolf doesn’t take over. Whimpering at how much it hurts the way his bones dislocate and relocate back together in a new way.
So yeah, first year was challenging. But Dumbledore had a safe place for him to go every evening of the full moon, and Y/n would be there when he woke up every time. Remus relished in the way her hands felt in his. They were so soft compared to his calloused ones. So gentle compared to his often rough movements. Small compared to big. She was everything he wasn’t, and he was happy about that.
James Potter was the first to talk to them with his flamboyant nature. His eyes were the lightest of browns with spotted glittering green. His smile was perfect and straight. How could someone’s smile be that way at the ripe age of eleven? Despite his aura screaming, “I’m the popular kid, and you’re the loser,” he was actually quite nice.
Upon looking at James, the Lupin twins both thought of trouble. They remembered the popular kids from their muggle school before this one, how they used to belittle Remus for his scars and how Y/n used to push them away. So, forgive them for being a little cautious around him. It didn’t help that James’ counterpart was the opposite of them both.
Sirius Black, lanky and confident. This boy had no boundaries and absolutely no limits. If he wanted it, he was going to get it. His eyes were the purest iron, and his smile was white like quartz. Hair black as coal and personality as gregarious as the color wheel. His style was toned back, but his character could’ve put the color wheel to shame with how bright he was. Sirius Black could’ve been the antonym to Remus and Y/n Lupin.
During second year they found another boy who was being beaten by Slytherins for his scarlet and golden robes. He was stocky, and it seems that he was pretty timid. His blond hair was disheveled, and his blue eyes full of fright. Y/n had stepped in front of him just like she had Remus from the bullies back in muggle school. Her wand was held tight in her grip as she stared at them.
“What are you gonna do, Loony Lupin?” One of them snarled.
“Aguamenti.”
The Slytherins were now covered in water. Damp like they had all taken a shower with their clothes on. Their black robes turned a shade darker. The evergreen accents turned olive, and the silver turned into grey. The main Slytherin boy gritted his teeth, and his icy eyes stared into Y/n’s e/c ones.
“You’ll pay for that.”
Y/n pocketed her wand in her robes, smiling sweetly, “I’m sure I will. Now, run along before I do something worse.”
They didn’t want to obey, but they also didn’t want to stay in that situation. The Slytherins scurried off like dogs following their owner's command. Y/n fixed her hair with her hand and turned around. She was offering her soft hand to the boy who was frozen, shocked, staring at her. Hesitantly he gripped her hand, allowing her to pull him up. She was only slightly shorter than him.
“Y/n Lupin.” She introduced, “You are?”
“Pe- Peter Pettigrew.”
Y/n bowed playfully, “Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Peter.”
“Pleasure.” Peter muttered shyly as her group of friends approached.
Remus swung an arm around her shoulders, “You’re bloody brilliant, you know?”
“Our star.” Sirius swooned jokingly as Y/n punched his shoulder, causing him to pout, “Who’s this?” James queried, looking at Peter, who cowered under the hazel-eyed gaze.
“Boys,” Y/n smiled brightly, “This is our new member of the Marauders. Peter Pettigrew.”
Peter fiddled with his hands anxiously, “New- New member?”
“Mhm!” Y/n hummed, “You’re our new addition.”
James smiled, “Any friend of Y/n’s is a friend of ours. Welcome, Peter.”
From then it went from four to five. Peter never really stopped thanking them for letting him in. For the first time, Peter felt at home, and it was thanks to Y/n. He realized how kind she was, how creative she was. It was so strange. The group was so different, like extraordinarily diverse, yet they worked together so well. Y/n and Remus seemed to be the brains of things. James and Sirius seemed to be the trouble makers. Peter just did his own thing but always contributed.
In fifth year Remus started to worry. Everyone was so secretive. They stopped hanging around as much, even his sister. It hurt. It really hurt to see them seeking around on the map that he and Y/n created together for the most part. It wasn’t until during the winter break did Y/n finally realize what they were doing affected them.
Remus barely cried. Or at least that’s what people made it out to seem. Remus actually cried a decent amount. He was snuggled up in his room. His blanket encasing him, and his arms held around his pillow tightly, gripping it as if it’d leave him like he felt everyone else was. His heart felt broken. Y/n was outside his door, hearing his soft cries, and gently knocked on the door.
“Rem. Can I come in, please?”
He didn’t say anything, so she just let herself in. The door closed behind her with a click, and she saw her tall brother curled up into the tightest ball with silver streams on his cheeks. Y/n sat in front of him and rubbed the side of his arm. Remus’ eyes continue to release water like a dam that had been broken. He couldn’t swallow it no matter how hard he tried.
“What’s wrong, Rem?”
Remus didn’t say anything. He just dug his head deeper into the pillow he was holding. Y/n’s hand made its way to his sandy-colored hair. She was scratching at the scalp and smoothing his hair away from his face keeping the strands from getting wet. Her hand hesitantly reached his cheek and wiped away the tears that kept falling.
She sighed, “Remus, please.”
“You’re- you’re gon’ leave me, aren’ you.” Remus choked.
“Leave you?” Y/n questioned softly, afraid if she raised her voice any more, it’d make things worse, “I wouldn’t leave you if I was given a chance, Remmy.”
He sniffled, “You- you haven’ been a- around.”
“I know.” Y/n soothed, caressing his cheek, “But there’s an explanation for it. James, Sirius, Peter, and I have been distant. We know that. But there’s a reason for it. You’ll find out soon.”
Remus’ eyes met his sister's warm e/c ones, “Please don’t leave me.”
“Never.”
He smiled gently. The corners of his lips barely curled, but she knew it was there. Remus had fallen asleep with his sister's hand in his hair. When she was sure he was sleeping, Y/n left the bedroom, allowing him to sleep peacefully. Then she wrote a letter to James where she knew Sirius was staying too.
One more week, Y/n thought. One more week of this Mandrake leaf in their mouths until they could be done with this.
It took another month before it was ready. Before they were ready. They were in Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom when they started. James started first. When he turned into a stag, they all began laughing. James turned back, pouting. Sirius turned second into a huge black dog. Y/n smiled and petted his head.
“Very fitting, Sirius.”
Sirius turned back, letting Peter turn next. He was so tiny that Sirius almost stepped on him. James and Y/n sniggered at their rat friend. Next was Y/n, who turned into a graceful cat. Her fur was black, and her eyes were a striking e/c. James smirked and nudged Sirius.
“Matching animagus’, eh?”
Sirius scowled, “Cats and dogs don’t match.”
Y/n turned back, “Don’t they?”
“Ready for this full moon?” James asked them all.
“‘Course!”
“Yep!”
“Can’t wait.”
That full moon was better than them all. Remus had people to join him. There was something that he noticed, though. Every time he’d get close to the cat, the dog would growl and stand in front of her. It was like the dog was protecting what was his. Y/n noticed it too. Every time Remus got close, Sirius stood in front of her, keeping him at a safe distance.
It wasn’t until a quiet night in the Marauders dorm did Remus finally bring it up, “Sirius.”
“Remus.”
“How long?”
Sirius furrowed his eyebrows, “How long what?”
“You know,” Remus moved his hand in a circular motion for him to continue, “How long have you liked my sister?”
“Woah, Remus.” Sirius stated in shock, “That’s quite the accusation.”
Remus tilted his head, “Is it?”
“Yeah. It is.” Sirius replied, “Y/n is my friend. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“So, you not sleeping with any girls for the past year is just a coincidence?” Remus questioned knowingly, “You staring at her during class and parties is just on accident?”
Sirius’ cheeks went pink, “And it’s definitely a coincidence that you always hug her first after every Quidditch match.”
“Okay, fine, fine.” Sirius confessed, “I like Y/n. I have for a while.”
“So why haven’t you asked her out?”
“Excuse me?”
Remus shrugged, “Why haven’t you asked her out yet? You know she enjoys going to Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks.”
“Mate, have you forgotten we’re talking about your sister?” Sirius asked, “Like your twin sister?”
“I know.” Remus replied, “She likes you too, you know.”
Sirius’ eyes were practically bulging out of his skull. How in the name of Merlin was Remus so calm about this? He said it so casually as if they were talking about the weather. Sirius expected Remus to get angry or throw a book at him.
“Are you- Are you giving me permission to date your sister?”
“As long as you don’t hurt her, sure.”
Sirius hesitated before asking his next question, “Can you help me do it?”
Remus smirked, “Casanova of Hogwarts can’t ask out Y/n?”
“Please, Remus.” Sirius begged, “I really like her, and I don’t want to fuck this up.”
Remus snorted, “You always fuck things up.”
“That’s why I need you!”
Remus just smirked triumphantly.
“Pleaaaseeeeeee.”
“Alright, fine.” Remus relented, “Just be cool about it, yeah? Take her to Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks. She’d enjoy that a lot. Maybe take her to Tomes and Scrolls.”
“You’re a lifesaver!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Remus rolled his eyes, “Now shut up. ‘M tired.”
The following day Sirius and Y/n did go to Hogsmeade together. She was amazed when they went into Honeydukes together. She picked out some of her favorite sweets and some for Remus since the full moon was a week away. When she went to pay for it, Sirius pushed her hand away, paying for it himself. Y/n wouldn’t stop thanking him.
Next, they went to Tomes and Scrolls. On any ordinary occasion, Sirius would’ve hated this. Truth be told, he wasn’t really a reader or a book person in general. But for her, he’d do absolutely anything. Y/n picked out some new books and began raving to Sirius about one in particular. So again, Sirius paid for them and told her to find a table in the Three Broomsticks.
Sirius went to the area where the book she was raving about was found. He grabbed one for himself, planning to read and annotate it for her. Maybe he’d give it to her as a birthday gift or just a random gift. Nonetheless, he knew she’d love it, and Sirius would fall off a cliff if she asked him to.
Inside he found her sitting with a hot chocolate and a butterbeer for himself. Sirius slid into the booth smiling at her. They talked about everything and anything. Sirius even went as far as to tell her some stuff about his family the other guys didn’t know about. He went on about how he envied Remus and her relationship wanting the same thing with Regulus.
Sirius told her how he wanted his future to look. How many tattoos he wanted. Where he wanted to live. How many children he wanted. So on and so forth. He was so open and so honest it surprised her. Generally, if someone asked Sirius what he wanted his future to look at, he’d just shrug. Now he was spilling everything to her.
It didn’t take long after that for them to become official. Remus smiled when she announced it. He was happy for her. Remus could see how happy Sirius made her, and for that, he was grateful that someone could take care of her in his absence. Y/n only wanted that for him too. One day she’d have a family, and Remus wouldn’t be her main priority. That scared her because, for all seventeen years of her life, it was just her and Remus.
After graduating from Hogwarts, they got married. It wasn’t anything huge, especially with Voldemort on the rise, but it happened. James was Sirius’ best man, and Marlene was Y/n’s maid of honor. Remus walked Y/n down the aisle and gently kissed her cheek before letting her go. Seeing Sirius and Y/n get married made James overjoyed to marry Lily, but that would happen all in due time.
So what was it that made her feel this way? Was it the betrayal? Was it the dishonesty? Was it the disloyalty? What was it in truth? The moment Sirius was locked away in Azkaban, everything changed. When Remus heard about it, she was his first stop. Inside he saw her with a baby on her lap. Their baby boy, just a year old. He was born only months before Harry.
Little Perseus Sirius Black. Y/n’s pride and joy. He was everything to her. Remus had walked into the house seeing his broken sister holding her child close to her as he cried. Remus walked in and gently took the child from her arms, allowing her to lean on his shoulder as he held Perseus. The little boy smiled at the familiar face of his uncle.
“Rem!”
Remus smiled softly, “Hey, Perseus.”
It took a long time for Y/n to collect herself. Remus had taken a spot in the house since he couldn’t find a place by himself. Y/n worked at the ministry most days, and Remus would take care of her little troublemaker. As Perseus grew, he looked more and more like his mother. The same e/c eyes and h/c hair. The only thing that made him look like a Black was his defined body and facial structure.
The sharp jawline, the defined nose, the straight cheekbones, the semi-hollow cheeks, and the pointed chin. His features were that of the Noble House of Black, yet he could’ve made his way to look like a Lupin even more. For a while, Y/n worked a lot. She was trying to keep her family afloat. But it wasn’t until Remus said he got a job offer at Hogwarts did she have to stop. Working for her felt like nothing. Every day she was worried about Perseus going to school. Especially with Sirius being out of Azkaban.
The night that Remus saw Peter Pettigrew on the map, he knew something was wrong and sent Y/n and owl for her to come to Hogwarts. Without hesitation, she did. On the night of that full moon, she was also down in the Shrieking Shack, holding Harry close to her, not wanting him to get hurt. When everything got resolved, she cried.
Y/n went home that night rethinking everything. A week later, Remus and Perseus returned home. She couldn’t remember holding Percy that tight ever. Y/n was just thankful that he was safe and he was home. That night that Y/n and Remus told Percy what really happened, why his father was never really in the picture.
A year later is when Perseus finally met his father - well, that he can remember. He was fifteen now, going into his fifth year at Hogwarts when Y/n and Remus took him to Grimmauld Place 12. It felt foreign, and it felt evil. Needless to say, Percy didn’t like the place. Inside, Sirius was waiting for them along with many others.
When the door opened and shut gently, he knew it was her. For the first time in over twelve years, he’d be allowed with his wife again. The woman he loved and the woman he felt the most solace with. He’d also see the boy that he used to know grown up into a young adult. The young gentleman Sirius always wanted.
Perseus stood in front of her, Y/n’s hands on his shoulders. Sirius almost chuckled at it. Percy was protecting her even if she didn’t know it herself. He stood in front of her for a reason, to make sure she’d be safe. Sirius stood in front of them, swallowing harshly.
“Remus, Y/n.” He choked on the last name.
“Good evening Sirius.” Remus greeted politely, “How have you been?”
Sirius shuffled, “I’ve been better.”
Remus hugged him, whispering in his ear, “Don’t fuck this up.”
“Hey, Siri.” Y/n smiled with tears in her eyes, “Hey, love.”
Gently she walked in front of Percy and hugged him tightly. Sirius’ arms went around her waist, and his nose dug into her hair. The scent of her perfume and shampoo calming his nerves slightly. Y/n dug her head into his neck and placed her arms around him. They pulled away and smiled. Gently he kissed her forehead.
“I’m sorry for believing that you would ever,” She looked down, “You know.”
Sirius picked her chin back up gently, “You have nothing to be sorry for, love.”
Y/n kissed his lips softly. His lips were far from how she remembered. They were no longer soft and tasted of smoke. Instead, they were chapped and tasted of firewhiskey. Perhaps some things never change. Their lips melded together perfectly, just as they did so many years ago. They pulled apart, smiling brightly. She pulled from his embrace to stand by his side.
“Sirius, this is-“
“Perseus, I know.”
Perseus smiled nervously; they had the same smile, the same straight smile, “Hi.”
“Hi.”
It was silent for a while as Perseus shuffled, “Are you- are you staying this time?”
“I’d like to.” Sirius replied, “I’m not quite sure the extent of my living abilities, but I’ll be here.”
“I’m- I'm in Slytherin.”
“Okay.”
Perseus looked incredulously, “Okay? That’s all you have to say?”
“There’s nothing wrong with being in Slytherin.” Sirius stated, “Your heart is in the right place.”
“How would you know?” Percy snapped, “You’ve been gone for most of my life. You don’t know anything about me.”
Sirius quirked an eyebrow, “So you standing in front of your Mather was just a happy accident? You weren’t planning on protecting her. Shall something go wrong?”
Percy looked at the ground, “Someone had to make sure she was safe while you were gone.”
“That’s not fair.”
“Life isn’t fair!” Percy yelled, “You left us. You don’t realize how badly you hurt her while you were gone.”
Remus walked back into the corridor to see Y/n frozen staring at her son. Sirius was standing in an argumentative stance. Percy’s eyes were filling with tears of frustration as he stared at the man who abandoned him from the start.
“You left me. You left mum. You left Remus.” Percy cried, “How did you expect this to go, huh?”
Sirius didn’t say anything, “Did you expect me to be happy?! Did you expect me to hug you and fall into your arms?!” Percy shouted, “Because I’m not. I’m not happy, and I’m not going to fall into your arms and hug you like a naive little boy. My mum deserves better than this bullshit.”
“Enough!” Remus snapped, and Percy froze, “Your father is risking his life to be here right now. To meet you. I get it. I wouldn’t be happy either if my father did what Sirius did. But with things, the way they are right now is holding a grudge really that important?”
“N- No, sir.”
“Percy.” Y/n called, and he stared at her with watery eyes as she approached him, “I get it. You’re angry, you’re upset, but he’s still your father. He wants to be here now.”
“B- But he-“
“I know, my love. He’s going to try and make up for it. You don’t have to trust him right away. You don’t have to say ‘I love you’ right away. He isn’t expecting that.” Y/n wiped the tears from his cheeks, “All he’s expecting is his son. The little boy that he last saw.”
Percy looked down, “I know you aren’t that little boy, and I wish you still were. The little boy that used to make me smile and laugh. The little boy that used to cause mischief around the house driving Remus mad.”
Sirius smiled, “You’re older now, and that will take some getting used to. I know you don’t remember, but Sirius used to be the only one who could get you to stop crying. He used to hold you all night, sleep with you in the rocking chair.”
“Sirius used to babble nonsense to you while I was at work. He used to take you to the park. Make you laugh by turning into a dog.” Percy sniffled, “Back then, Sirius was your everything, baby.”
Percy hugged his mom tight, “I- I’m scared.”
It was only loud enough for her to hear, “Why, baby?”
“What if- what if he leaves again?”
“He’s not going to.” Y/n moved the hair from his face, “Sirius wouldn’t leave us unless he had to.”
Percy knew what that meant. Sirius wouldn’t leave unless he got killed or died. Percy looked at Sirius’ eyes which were filled with tears from recalling the moments of his past. Y/n smiled reassuringly before Percy allowed himself to hug his father. He was wrapping his arms around his stomach, nuzzling his nose into his chest.
When they pulled apart, Sirius smiled, “You’re my everything, kiddo.”
riled up.
written by @lilystyles
my masterlist for others & my main masterlist (harry styles!)
authors note lmfao our main man james eating you out after you annoy him. him taking his anger out on you? yes pls. um enjoy. LMFAO
brief description james and y/n are rivals. james can't take any more of her constant torment and takes her upstairs to deal with her.
warnings! smut (f! receiving, kissing, sexual tension, enemies to lovers) 3kish words!
James liked to think he was a pretty happy and relaxed person. He liked to think he loved his life and that he was overall just very happy. Most people would call him a happy-go-lucky, cheeky, and just a very kind person; and he was — he was definitely all those things.
He never really found himself that angry. He was usually calm and playful and only in serious cases would he get angry. He just didn't feel the need to get angry about small little things. Life was too short to waste on being angry.
But when it came to her — Y/n — he was the opposite of his normal self. It was like a whole other side of him came out.
She knew just how to piss him off. Every single word to say, every move to make, she was the only person who drove him up the wall in such a way that he wanted to tear his hair out and scream. It was kind of incredible actually.
Now, his friends weren't the only one to notice how much she drove him crazy. She definitely knew her affect on him and she loved it. She loved the power she felt. She loved to feel superior to the Oh So Great James Potter head boy and quidditch captain. She loved to make him squirm and lose his shit.
She simply loved it and there was no denying it, not that she ever tried to.
Whenever they would cross paths it was always the same, she'd one-up him or tease and he'd storm off. His friends would laugh and that was it.
But today James had had enough of her. She had done so much to piss him off and he was losing his mind, his brain was in a constant loop as to how he could punish her back. Make her this crazy. Or even how he could get her to just shut her the fuck up.
When she arrived at the Gryffindor tower in a skimpy little dress with a bright smile on that Friday evening after the quidditch match he knew they would somehow find each other. But for now, he needed a little alcohol before he would deal with it, her.
Gryffindor was throwing this party in pity for Gryffindor losing to (your house). James and a lot of the other players were well and truly pissed. Marlene had taken to getting absolutely hammered. Sirius was probably with Remus upstairs and James was hiding in the corner away from her.
She was dancing in the middle of the crowd.
James was beyond pissed about losing. He hated (your house)! He hated the fact that she had been the reason they lost. He hated how fucking good she was. He hated how similar they were.
Godric, he just fucking hated her. He hated how good that red dress looked on her s/c coloured skin. It was like she was tormenting him showing up in his house colours after she had just brutally beaten him. He hated how good she looked moving her hips. It took him a moment to realise who she was pressed against.
Remus?!
He saw Sirius standing close by with a clenched jaw. James had recently become aware of the Black boy's interest in the werewolf. He trudged over, he was feeling awfully hot in his jumper now. He felt very irritated.
"Pads?" He said, his voice sounding small over the loud music.
The boy turned his head. "Is it bad this makes me kind of..." He trailed off turning his head back to the scene ahead of them.
The tall werewolf, who normally remained un-dancing and far from most girls, had the (your house) captain pressed to his front. His long hands were on her hips as she shimmed against him smiling wickedly. Both Gryffindors had no idea she had calculated a whole plan in her pretty little head.
She, obviously, knew of Black's affections for Lupin and was just helping them out. She knew Sirius was a jealous creature by nature, and she also knew it would get a rise out of James for many reasons. A win for them both, really. Remus was a bit unsure of the plan. But Y/n knew it would work.
She felt the pairs of eyes on them and flipped around, moving Remus' hand onto her left ass cheek, and leaned up to whisper in his ear. "We got 'em." She said, with a wolfish grin.
He shook his head in amazement. If he wasn't totally gay and into his best mate, he thought Y/n might be worth a shot. She was absolutely perfect.
"Jesus Y/n. You are fucking brilliant."
It wasn't long until Sirius snapped out of his daze. To be fair it was hard to decide who to watch, both Y/n and Remus were really attractive. Bisexual panic was his main worry at that moment.
"May I cut in?" Said Sirius, his raven locks shining under the coloured lighting.
Y/n giggled wrapping her arms around Sirius, leaning into him, her tits pushed up against him. She loved to cause a bit of drama between them all. "Sure, Handsome. Plenty of me to go around."
He rolled his eyes. "Not you. But you do look fit tonight, L/n, do us all a favour and shag James already."
Her confidence crumbled a bit. "Shut up Black." She turned to Remus who was blushing at Sirius' attention. "Bye Love, have fun."
He nodded distracted by Sirius's burning gaze.
Y/n stepped away satisfied with the outcome. All they needed was a little push. She was startled to feel a breath on her neck and a tall presence behind her. So close to her that it was startling. The smell was familiar, something minty, sweet smelling aftershave, and freshly mowed grass.
James Potter.
"Hey Potter," She said trying not to let his close presence make her falter.
He had an effect on her too, just not one he even realised, it was something entirely different. She'd never admit to the cockiest boy on the planet who thought he was God's gift that he actually made her horny and she thought he was fit.
"You are so fucking annoying." He was clearly riled up. She turned to face him, surprised. He was usually never so angry. Just flustered.
She cocked her head. "Oh? Am I now?" Wanting to hear him out. Clearly, he had a speech prepared, let the boy have his show.
"Yes! You are!"
She stepped closer and his jumper felt like it was on fire he was so warm.
"No need to shout Jamsie." She teased. "I know you're just being a sore loser about me wiping the pitch with you but it was just a game. Get over yourself, mate."
He looked away his tongue poking his cheek. Y/n had the strangest urge to kiss him. "This isn't about the game, Y/n."
The way he said her name made her feel warmth in her lower stomach. Her thighs clenched against her will, he didn't seem to catch it.
"What's it about then?"
The loudness of the party was making it hard to hear. He grabbed her wrist roughly and she was shocked. James was usually a very gentle creature. She kind of liked to see him like this though, it made him look even more fit.
When he shut the door of his dorm and she was standing in the middle of the empty room, she crossed her arms, making her breasts even more visible. "If you wanted to get me alone in a room with you, you just had to ask, Potter." She teased, examining the fairly clean space.
He let out a groan. "This is what I mean! You never know when to just shut that fucking mouth."
He was close to her again, his towering frame made her feel small. She didn't show it though.
"Remus doesn't seem to mind my mouth,"
He scoffed. "You do realise he's in love with Sirius right."
Y/n scoffed, dropping the act. "Duh. I only danced with him so that Sirius would finally grow a pair." And that maybe you would too.
"That's what that was about?"
She could hear him so much more clearly now that they were upstairs. She sat down on one of the beds making herself comfortable. Inspecting her nails to feign boredom when really she was trying to slow her fast-beating heart.
"Yes. I knew that you'd flip out about it too."
He looked at her his crossing his arms. "Do you just love pissing me off, or what?"
"You just get so riled up it's funny, James." She laughed throwing her head back.
He felt something churn in his stomach, something that had been brewing for a long time, and was only now coming to the surface that he had a little liquid courage in him.
"Shut up, Y/n."
She laughed harder. "See! You look so funny when you make that face!"
He stepped forward until her hips were level with his. On the bed, she was his height.
"I swear to God. If you don't stop laughing at me-"
"What? What are you gonna do? You gonna make me, Potter? Because you seem to be all talk." She knew what she was doing. Her face was really close to his now and he felt her breath on his face.
He stared at her for a second. He wasn't stupid he knew when a girl wanted to be kissed. So he did. He kissed her.
All of his frustration and anger went into the kiss. His lips crashed into hers so fast she gasped and he wrapped his hands around her back bringing her close to him.
She was surprised he actually did it but was loving every second of it. His rough calloused hands slid under her dress straps and lips attacking her neck and the valley of her breast.
"Guess you aren't all talk then, huh?" She said breathlessly as he began to suck along the column of her neck.
He tugged his jumper off throwing it to the floor in aggravation. This just left him in a t-shirt that showed all his quidditch muscles. "You really just don't ever stop talking do you?"
She bit her lip, "Nope."
His hands coming to the hem of her dress which was scrunched up and pretty short already, revealing her small underwear. "I can work with that."
His hips shifted against hers, and she moaned into his mouth as he kissed her roughly. When he pulled back he tugged his other shirt off, he was just so warm, he was sweating. The heat prickled his skin.
She smirked, he looked up at her asking for permission as he began to pull the dress higher. She nodded. "Take it off."
He slid it off quickly and went back to roughly kissing all over her body. He was still very annoyed with her, but Jesus, she was so fucking sexy.
She moaned quietly when his hips pressed into hers. The thin material of her knickers did little to protect her from the friction of him rutting against her.
Her hands began to tug on his shirt and he helped her claw it off. She threw it away her hands coming to his body. Feeling his rippling muscles and tugging him closer. He was on top of her now and she was beginning to get really riled up. He sucked on her nipples and squeezed her until she was whimpering breathily.
Her hips squirmed against his until eventually, he moved down her body, kissing as he travelled further down until finally resting flat against the bed. His face was right in between her legs now.
She was wondering if he was actually going to eat her out. Most guys never bothered with that. Then again, most guys didn't have her leaking through her undies in arousal just from looking at her. He nipped and kissed along her thighs spreading them further apart. She was moaning, positioning herself up on her elbows so she wouldn't miss the sight of him.
"Tell me you want this, Y/n." He said his fingers gently pressing against her. She squirmed and moaned quietly.
She nodded. "I do. Please." She added. It was cute, he liked seeing her like this.
Suddenly his hands were yanking the undies down and she was bare, completely. She wasn't wearing a bra. He loved that.
She looked so beautiful, every part of her he wanted to kiss and stare at for hours.
Without any hesitation, he licked a long stripe along her. The taste of her arousal mixing on his tongue with Firewhisky was heaven.
She began to grow louder when he paid more attention to her clit. The swollen bud was staring him right in the face, how could he not?
When he pulled away his face an inch from her dripping heat. "You know I have had a really fucking long day, Y/n." The tip of his middle digit slid along the opening, her arousal coating his finger. He just gently stroked it.
It was driving her mad, absolutely mad.
She whined her hips shifting. She tried to grind against him but he didn't let her.
"What nothing to say now?" He said.
She just made a whiney noise in the back of her throat, squirming. "James."
"No. You don't get to do this Y/n. You can't tease me all day to the point of insanity, whilst also making me so stiff my balls ache. You can't get away with it."
Her head fell against the bed. Her hands were clenching the bedsheets in hunger. "You know you love it."
"You drive me insane Y/n. Absolutely insane." His finger was still teasing her, slowly dragging along her heat, slightly dipping in but pulling out just as quickly. She was getting needy for him.
Her entire hips lifted off the bed in want. "James, I don't do it to annoy you." Her voice was weak and her eyes were fluttering shut.
"Why then? Hmm? Tell me. Use your words." His finger slipped inside her and she let out a long whine he.
"I do it, ah," His finger curled inside her, "because, mm, I like it, ah, when you get all riled up like this."
He was surprised at her words. This whole time he thought it was just because she didn't like him. He was glad to know this attraction wasn't one-sided.
He didn't say anything more before diving forward, his lips sucked on her puffy clit as his finger pumped inside of her. She was squirming so much he had to move his hand up to her stomach to hold her down. Her thighs were shaking beside his shoulders.
Her hands moved from the bed to his hair. "Holy- fuck me, James. You're really good at that, mm. I should've, ah, known your good at-" She whined, "-good at everything." She praised him.
He added another finger and she cried out loudly, his fast and deep pace had her stomach growing tighter and tighter. She felt like she was so close already, and in absolute shock, he had made it happen quickly too.
He was so fucking good at that. Her hand moved to his hand that was holding her down, and she intertwined it with his. "Ah, mm."
She felt so good. The holding hands were intimate but James didn't mind and he was too busy trying to make her cum anyway to even notice. Her entire body was shaking around him, he loved how quickly she had come undone for him.
"I think I'm going to cum." She felt embarrassed at how quickly it had come on. They had only been up their fifteen minutes.
His fingers didn't falter nor did his tongue and lips. Against her he replied. "Cum for me," The vibrations made her cry out.
It was as if his words were magic she felt it coming on. The rush of her orgasm crept up on her. "James!" She whined, she was nearly there.
"Come on Y/n, cum for me, do it, cum. Cum on my fingers. Be my good girl and cum f' me." He looked up at her and they held eye contact as he kept his rough and messy thrusts going.
She did, and oh my god. She didn't know anyone could make her feel that good. The coil snapped in her stomach and she felt it everywhere. She was pretty sure she blacked out for a second there. She couldn't see or hear anything for a second when she finally back she looked down at him. He was on his knees in front of her, his already messy hair even messier and he had a glistening shine on his chest. He looked ruined too.
How was he so sweaty? She frowned and looked closer before realising.
"Oh, I'm so sorry James. That's embarrassing."
She had squirted all over him. She usually only squirted after being very overstimulated, it took a lot to get her that aroused. She lifted her hands to cover her face and James quickly ripped them away.
"Y/n, that was the hottest thing I've ever fucking seen. You have no idea what you do to me. Look at me, look," He spoke softly grabbing her chin.
Y/n squinted noticing a wet patch on his pants. It was creamy and blotchy. She felt a smile creep onto her face.
"Did you cum yourself?"
He looked down. "That's never happened to me before. But Jesus. I've been aching for you all day. That's so bloody embarrassing, I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it."
She grabbed his cheeks. "Kiss me, James."
He did, slowly climbing back up her and planting his lips slowly to hers. It was passionate and slow, more intense than the others. When she pulled back she smiled. "I want you to fuck me until we can't anymore."
His dick twitched in his pants, he was already hard again.
"That can be arranged."
Battle Within
Words: 1154
Pairing: Remus Lupin x Reader
A/N: I will no longer be writing for Harry Potter/JK Rowling after posting the remaining requests I have for HP characters.
Request: Could I request a Lupin x Reader where they both survive the war and they help each other through their losses? She helps him with Teddy? - Anon
______________________
Letting him stay at yours was the least you could do. The two of you, like everyone else, were struggling after the battle.
He’d saved your life in the battle just as Tonks had lost hers. You blamed yourself for her loss, he could have saved her life instead and Teddy would have both of his parents.
The two of you had been close before the battle but living together for a year now had brought you closer than ever.
He knew he could have gone to stay with Tonk’s mother but he also knew he wouldn’t be able to face her every day, she still visited frequently and Remus was grateful for that.
Although it was tough, to begin with, things had got better. Initially, a second didn’t go by where both of you didn’t cry, finding comfort in each other's arms as you held one another as some sort of grip on reality.
Gradually the tears subsided and you were able to discuss what happened, a great aid in you coming to terms with the losses.
You found solace in each other's company and you were sure that you wouldn’t have been able to recover without it.
You both raised Teddy together, Remus had promised to be the best father he could and he was true to his word but sometimes you took on the responsibility of caring for the child to give Remus a break.
You felt guilty about the relationship you’d built with the man but neither of you could deny the feelings you felt for each other.
Walking into your shared home you shrugged off your coat “It’s just me.” you called gently through the house.
Sliding off your shoes you stayed silent, expecting a response but froze slightly as none came.
“Remus?” you stayed quiet and listened for a second. The sound of muffled sobbing had you moving quickly through the house.
The man held his son against his chest as he cried.
“Is everything ok?” you approached the two and place a hand on Remus’ back and Teddy.
The man continued to cry and leant into your touch.
“Let me take him a second, come on.” The man loosened his embrace as you took Teddy.
Leaving the room you placed Teddy in his crib before returning to Remus, the man had sat himself down on the sofa and tried to stifle the tears as he held his head in his hands.
Sitting down next to the man you placed a hand on his back. “I’m here. It’s ok, I’m here.”
The man leant into your side as you wrapped your arm around him. The embrace was unusual but you waited until his crying had stopped.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.” you removed your arm from him “What was that about huh?”
The man sat back in the chair and looked at you. “I’m really grateful for you Y/N. I know I don’t say it enough but I wouldn’t know what to do without you.”
You smiled and felt heat come to your face and a lump collect in your own throat. “I’m grateful for you too.”
“You’re too kind. I’ve done nothing for you Y/N, you’ve helped me grieve and raise my child. You’ve been my friend when I felt so alone.”
You took his hand “You’ve done plenty for me. You’ve given me a friend when I most needed it, you saved my life in more ways than one.”
The man squeezed your hand and the two of you sat in silence.
Your eyes landed on parchment sitting on the coffee table before you.
“Did you get an owl today?”
The man nodded and sat forward, picking the parchment up with his free hand he handed it to you. “I’ve been asked to teach again at Hogwarts.”
Your eyes skimmed over the words “This is great news.”
“It is.” he agreed as you turned to him “but I’m not sure I want to take it.”
You looked at him sincerely and encouraged him to continue speaking.
“Well we both know what happened last time and what people thought about someone like me teaching their children. But more than that I don’t know if I can leave Teddy.”
“We both know how much attitudes have changed now and you know that. I’m sure that Andromeda would take Teddy.”
The man nodded and looked away from you “I know, I know. I’m not sure that I’d want Andromeda to have him though. I respect the woman I really do. I love her and she’s his grandmother but I wouldn’t want to put that on her.”
“I’m sure she’d-”
“Would you look after him? He enjoys your company, he knows you. He likes you a lot” he let out a small laugh “Just like I do.”
You were lost for words at the mans confession “Remus I’m honoured but what would they think.”
“I don’t care.” he whispered “I wouldn’t dream of leaving him with anyone but you. You’re the only one I trust nowadays and you’ve been working to make money for the three of us for far to long. They’ve agreed to pay me more than enough to take care of us all.”
You took in what the man had said “I’m not giving up my job.” you nudged the man “I’ll see if I could be more flexible with my hours and while I’m at work Andromeda could look after him. I think that’s the best option here.”
The man smiled “How could I not agree with you? You’re always the voice of reason.”
You smiled and began to stand ready make your way to the kitchen to make some tea “Who knows, you might even get me a job up there and we can raise him together at Hogwarts.”
“That’d be a dream come true.” the man admitted. “Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“I think we need to admit what we are”
You stopped in your tracks and turned back to him. The man took both of your hands in his and stood up. “I know” you spoke quietly.
You looked up at the man “I just feel so bad. I don’t want people to think-”
“They won’t and who cares as long as we’re happy. We both know how horribly short life can be and I will always treasure the time I had with Tonks. I’ll always love her but I love you.”
“I love you too.” You felt your heart skip a beat as you said the words out loud.
The man pulled you close to his chest and rested his cheek on your head as you embrace him back. You weren’t sure how long you stood like that, he placed a kiss to the top of your head before pulling away.
“I should write back.”
“I’ll go check on Teddy.” you gave the man a smile and he gave you one in return.
