Ohohohhho trying a new type thing with this, sort of more like a guided choose your own adventure vibe than just straight hcs. Lmk what you guys think of this I’m getting EXPERIMENTAL. Might make this style of writing available on the ko-fi. It was a total blast!

FIRST DATE WITH THAD CARLSON CYOA

He’d slipped a note through the grates of your locker, it was written in perfect cursive and fluent Vulcan. To save any embarrassment to either party, he wrote a translation on the back, still in his beautiful sloped handwriting. He instructed you to meet outside the library at 7pm sharp, wearing something presentable but not overly formal, and hoped sincerely that you would come. Both sides were signed, there was no question who the invitation could be from.

So, enticed by the note, you go. Following his note to the letter, you go straight to your dorm after class, get ready and wait. Arriving exactly at 7, you see Thad is there, and seemed to have been there for a while. He’s dressed in a good pair of jeans, sneakers that look new out of the box and a t-shirt with a faded Star Trek decal on it. He has a bomber jacket over his shoulder, littered with pins. He steps forward with a smile “You look… wow.. are you ready to go?” DIALOGUE OPTIONS: “YES, LETS GO!” “ACTUALLY, IM KINDA BUSY TONIGHT” “ THAT DEPENDS ARE YOU READY?”

YES LETS GO: Thad smiles and takes your arm, the pair of you walk awash from the library and out of the school grounds. He apologies to you and explains you’ll have to walk to the date location, his bike got stolen and he didn’t have the money to pay the bully to give it back. He seems a little embarrassed about it, its not as great first impression to make your date walk a mile before the date’s even really begun.

IM KINDA BUSY TONIGHT: Thad looks disappointed. Why even bother coming in the first place if you knew you couldn’t make it. His brows furrow and he storms past you, presumably back to the dorms to cry himself to sleep. MISSION FAIL.

ARE YOU READY?: Thad raises his brow, instantly feeling a little self conscious his posture changes so that he’s hiding himself a little. His face scrunches and he asks you “Are you kidding?” DIALOGUE OPTIONS: “YEAH, MY BAD. YOU LOOK GREAT” “NO, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A SERIOUS DATE” —> YEAH, MY BAD. YOU LOOK GREAT: Thad’s face relaxes and he approaches, albeit a little tentatively, offering his arm for you to take “Cheeky, I like it… justht remember to inflect when you joke like that. It doethn’t feel great” —>NO, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A SERIOUS DATE: Thad’s lip quivers a little bit and he looks genuinely crushed by the mean spirited comment. He runs around the side of the library and takes refuge in the Observatory MISSION FAIL

Eventually, the walk to the place was over and the actual date could begin. He held the door open for you and allowed you to step inside. The room is dimly lit, only the faint glow from several games cabinets filled the room. The carpet is old, a relic of the 1980’s. Thad looks over at you expectantly “So, pretty cool huh?” DIALOGUE OPTIONS: “ITS KINDA DARK IN HERE, CANT THEY TURN THE LIGHTS ON?” “YEAH, MAYBE IF YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS” “SURE IS, THIS PLACE IS HUGE!”

ITS KINDA DARK IN HERE, CANT THEY TURN THE LIGHTS ON?: Thad looks over with a thoroughly puzzled expression, hadn’t you ever been to an arcade before? He scrunches his nose up a little and provides a little extra clarity “You get sthcreen glare if the lighths are too bright, you cant play the gameth properly, and its… mood lighting I gueth .” He feels a little awkward, but its not a complete write off yet.

YEAH, MAYBE IF YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS: Ouch, what a hurtful thing to say to someone you’re on a date with! First or otherwise. Thad doesn’t have to stand for this, and he doesn’t. He leaves the arcade and makes sure to slam the door closed on your hand. Have fun getting to the ER on your own loser! MISSION FAIL

SURE IS, THIS PLACE IS HUGE!: Thad’s smile widens and he ushers you to come in through the threshold, he lets the door drop from his hands and gives you time to look around before he speaks again “And thisth isn’t even all of them, there’th a secret room for black card members”

Once you’re inside and acquainted with the surroundings, the pair of you split off for about an hour to play your own games for a while. Kind of odd for a first date but Thad purposely picks games that are in the cabinet next to you or just across, eventually he suggests the pair of you play a multiplayer game, leading you over to a Mortal Kombat cabinet “Pretty cool right, lets pay a few rounds, I’ve got plenty of time” ACTION OPTIONS: PLAY POORLY, MAKE HIM FEEL MASCULINE. KICK HIS ASS, SHOW HIM YOURE A GAMER. REFUSE, ITS WEIRD.

PLAY POORLY, MAKE HIM FEEL MASCULINE: He doesn’t really seem to notice, but seems a little saddened when he wins and not you. The game doesn’t last all that long, its the first time he’s gotten a fatality in less than five minutes. Maybe its an excuse to bring you back and show you the ropes.

KICK HIS ASS, SHOW HIM YOURE A GAMER: Thad enjoys this very much, its a hard fought battle that eventually ends in a win for you, he turns and smiles as Johnny Cage’s blood fills the screen “Kudos to you, a match well won”

REFUSE, ITS WEIRD: Thad sets his jaw, he’s already inserted his quarters into the game. Not one to waste what little money he had left after having to run his wallet earlier in the day, he waves you off to play against the CPU “Okay well.. thereth the door” MISSION FAIL

After many hours of arcade fun, the date is over, and the pair of you retreat back to Bullworth, choosing to take a late bus instead of walking back. You sit quietly on the bus, its not a long journey back from town. And its nice to sit and contemplate on a pretty successful date, and all done within the parameters of curfew. All that was left was to give the evening a perfect ending. Shifting awkwardly on the balls of his feet, Thad looks to you with a hint of resignation on his face as he prepares himself to do the chivalrous thing “Howth abouuths I walk you to your dorm?” DIALOGUE OPTIONS: “NO, THATS OKAY, IM GONNA GO SEE IF EDNA WILL GIVE ME A LATE-NIGHT SNACK” “NO. YOUVE BEEN AROUND ME QUITE ENOUGH FOR ONE NIGHT” “THAT’S SWEET, THANK YOU”

My feelings about Tales of the TMNT!

Lmk ur thoughts, especially if you disagree! I would love to hear about it! I, personally, have A LOT of thoughts. Starting with:

I kinda hate the premise.

No, no LISTEN

I LOVE the idea of a series with these characters! I love them and their dynamic, plus with the animation style and cool writing from the movie I was really looking forward to the new series!

I was picturing what I feel like a lot of people were: a story about the tmnt balancing their hero stuff with school, something we haven't really seen before! This also will give them a chance to develop as individuals, something that was touched on in the movie. Awesome! Sounds great!

I hear you cry, 'Wait, so you don't like the series because school isn't a main plot point?' NO

I DONT LIKE THE SERIES BECAUSE NONE OF IT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!!

I understand 1 DnD episode. I understand a filler episode that is discounted from cannon later. What I DONT understand is entire 6 EPISODE ARCS that CANNONICALLY DONT EXIST!!!!

Inventing characters that apparently don't exist in cannon?? And more important to me, spending entire episodes on a specific turtles development, before finding out that IT DIDNT HAPPEN!

And the worst part is.. im not sure? Its wildly unclear how much of these arcs are true, if anything is true, if these are just embellished stories or what. Its wildly confusing and discouraging when all this is happening but JK ITS NOT REAL LOL.

Like none of this is wildly outlandish either? I found the plot pretty realistic to tmnt (I have problems with bishops character, but that's a rant for another post) and super enjoyable! I loved it! Which makes me even more mad because IT APARENTLY NEVER HAPPENED??? I THINK???

The first was out of Leo's comic book, but it was unclear whether this happened and he was just writing it down, or if the whole thing was his writing (which like. It would make sense if Bishop was written by a 15 year old bc of the inconsistencies in her development- AH IM GETTING OFF TRACK AGAIN). For Raphs story (which i liked so much better) it was ABUNDENTLY clear he was pulling the tale out of his ass.

This kind of thing, for one random filler episode, would be fun! Raph telling a super action packed adventure, or Leo's comic book story would be cool!

But. Idk. I love these characters. Why do all of this cool stuff for them when none of it is real?

Spy Kids: Armageddon teaser trailer!!

OK, OK, OK!

So I just watched the Spy Kids: Armageddon teaser trailer, and it actually looks good?? I was cautiously optimistic and, well, OK I'm still a little bit cautious (especially regarding the casting of the parents..) but now that I've seen what it has to offer, it got me excited now!

I did record my first time reaction via OBS after updating it... without realizing I didn't record the screen, and it won't let me upload it.. whoops. So we're doing a liveblog-but-its-not-really-live observation thing instead.

So first off, the kids aren't twins this time. We're going back to the "older sibling, younger sibling" setup that the original films did, though this time with an older brother and younger sister.

Also, a secret recorded message from the parent telling the kids that something's gone wrong, that's almost exactly what Spy Kids 4 did.

That's kinda worrying, but then again, the first Spy Kids film was originally going to include a similar scene after the Super Guppy chase, as the novelization and one of the original drafts includes the scene. I'll let that slide for now.

On top of the "older and younger siblings" setup being back, the parent characters are once again both spies like Gregorio and Ingrid! In the last film, only one of the parents was a spy, with the other parent not knowing about it, which was an interesting setup.

We've seen the heroes use grappling hooks before, and we even see climbing carabiners (another thing I had to look up) on their toolbelts, but we never actually see them use it for wallclimbing. That's another welcome addition!

The original Spy Kids did a similar thing in one of the Spy Kids Adventures books, so it's awesome to actually see it onscreen!

I wanna draw it now, it's adorable!!

(I was literally thinking of using robot crabs as an idea for my episodic comic!)

And we got a release date; September 22nd!

So, this trailer has understandably gotten a very middling response from people. My thoughts on this? It's looking promising! It may not be my dream interquel cartoon that I want, but I think this reboot is gonna be decent, at the very least!

My hopes for this is: - They get creative with the gadgets again. The gadgets from the last entry, Spy Kids: Mission Critical, were bland and boring, and not something a kid would use. - No title puns or fart jokes. None of that. Although given that there's no baby sibling in sight, and that Rodriguez has gotten help from his son Racer Max with writing the story this time, I think we'll be safe. - There's some chemistry between the new siblings that reminiscent of Carmen and Juni's interactions. - The villain being hammy and fun again.

This game-- unlike any other so far-- has an intro! A blue spaceship soars through a sky full of stars, and inside, a boy with a red fauxhawk peers through the window unsurely as his burly, silver-haired father drives with a smile of confidence.

The screen switches back to the exterior of their ship, which is now skimming over the surface of a lush, green planet.

CRACK! Suddenly, a silver tentacle grabs the ship right out of the air!

The Planet Of Pisces logo, a pair of splashing blue fish, appears over the scene, as smoke from the crashed spaceship rises into the sky.

"I can't see anything- OH!" She removes her sunglasses just in time. "Daaang, ok I dunno if anyone ever played Xardion but this is what this makes me think of"

When Bea starts the game, sprites of the father and son are standing outside the wrecked spaceship. The father is speaking.

[I'm going to the CPU to find out what went wrong. I'll be back by nightfall. Glem, you stay here and don't go anywhere!]

He walks off screen and the boy sits down next to the ship-- and the sun sets, the moon comes out, the sun rises again. The boy stands up and puts on those cool sunglasses from the title screen.

"Glem! From the game over thing?" Bea tries moving around. "I think I've heard of you and uh, it's nice to meet you in person! I dunno, should I tell him?"

DueyDecimal: i thought that was just a glitch! Maybe it comes from this game?

The game begins-- Glem can run and jump, and he's armed with a blue frisbee(?). But this frisbee returns to him like a yo-yo, bounces off walls and ricochets, and if Bea times it right, he can fly on it like a hover board!

"You can't tell but the control is tight, but you can see the sprite animations in this look better, some of these games have been good but I'm already feeling like this one's gonna be special"

This game is DEEP, with every stage introducing a new mechanic that becomes part of your repertoire of moves-- soon Glem is sledding down spikes with his Discus (as it turns out to be called) serving as a sled, pulling off amazing ricochet shots that bring hovering bad guys down to use as stepping stones, and more!

When Bea pauses for a snack, even the pause screen shows a map of the world, and an enemy encyclopedia! The most common enemy in this game is a bat-winged frog creature called a Hopteran, which can fly, swim, or (true to its name) hop; the most frustrating one is the Angul, which appears to be a winged angel made of glowing neon, and always appears to hunt Glem down at seemingly the worst times!

HNV: God, this game reminds me of the first time I ever played Super Mario 3. aroseahorseboy: its more like dkc but yeah! Max_Force: I'm going to be a dad in eight weeks, you guys... I hope there are still games like this when my daughter gets old enough to play.

Bea has been quiet, as she gets when she gets really into a game. "If you're out there, Mr. Or Ms. Joy Traveler development person, please just let me know who you are so I can credit you somehow because this is a gem hidden in a pile of.. Uh well its the best looking game so far lets keep it at that!"

By the time she gets to the last boss-- four and a half hours later-- the adventure has taken her from rolling green hills, to a parched desert, to dripping, foggy cliffs, and finally into this wild technological slime mold explosion, where the machines sprout up from the ground and attack, monitors spontaneously grow out of the walls and blare warnings, and her old friend Angul could be waiting around any corner. She's fought robots, biological hazards, and even what looked like a giant blob of blood gelatin-- but the end of Planet of Pisces is near.

"Okay so this has gone way, WAY overtime but I think I'm near the end here folks, at least I hope so. I would almost say that if you ever find one of these systems, it's almost worth getting just for this one"

"Look, I'm not proud of the way I got this, okay? I had to pry it out of the cold dead hands of a little orphan girl and then I had to suck a whole lot of di- I got it off eBay for like 30 bucks. "I dunno guys I feel like the dad usually dies in things like these but we'll see, hang on time, gonna farm these spidery things for health real quick and then it's on to the boss..."

She stands before the boss door, readying herself for anything.

Behind the final door is... what looks like a garage, filled with those robots that were attacking, except now they're building a spaceship identical to the one that you came here in. Directing them is – Glem's dad!

"Sure, sure, just do this to me, thats fine. You called it, AroSeahorseBoy. This is gonna be like a Wily fight but really sad isn't it!"

aroseahorseboy: aw, I didn't have to bite my tongue Syrupentine: Aro is so smart, S-M-R-T

Dad sees him and jumps down from the balcony he's on. ["Glem! I told you to stay where you were!"] He takes one step forward and freezes. All the robots stop and look at him. ["YOU CAN NEVER JUST DO AS YOU'RE TOLD."] Dad suddenly rises into the air-- and begins to glow as he changes. He's a Angul! And from the looks of things, the king of them all!

"OK THIS IS WORSE THAN I THOUGHT" shouts Bea while frantically dodging attacks. Of course this is the kind of boss you have to learn the attack patterns of, no matter how much you've powered up. In the end it's come down to raw skill.

"Dad why?? Were you one of them all along? Or not? Or am I, Glem, also an Angul?? Should I try to focus on not dying instead of theorizing right now, OW there goes a third of my health"

The worst part is, no matter what you throw at him, Dad isn't taking ANY damage! In fact, the only thing that makes him pause, as far as you can tell-- is when you accidentally destroy one of the robot drones that's busily building the ship in the background. That makes Dad MAD.

aroseahorseboy: it's a meta boss, great THAT means he has another form berd_snurglar: Aro stop trying to be smart, we already believe you

"Hey daaad, I'm messing up all your cool expensive robots! MMph, yeah, I'm gonna spray paint bad words all over your cool space ship, too!" She takes out another worker bot. "You spat all over my dream of being a world champion CD thrower and now you're gonna pay for it!"

The robots do rebuild themselves after a short time, but when she knocks them all out at once, the fight changes. Dad lands-- and seems to deflate, all the neon and metal flying away and entering the ship!

Dad stands up, looking weak. ["Glem... It's the CPU. It--he--wants to get back to Earth!"]

The ship shudders and begins to collapse-- no, it's changing. The worker robots are reabsorbed as it changes and expands, becoming... What exactly? Ah, of course-- a giant mechanical dragon.

HNV: DUDE TaichoSenseiKun: I want one!

"ME TOO!" Bea's so impressed with the design she barely jumps over the huge, electrified fireball headed her way, the first of many! "Aaaaaah jeez welcome to BULLET HELL, I see! Fuckfuckfuck, string of obscenities!!!"

This takes all her skills and she has to invent some new ones! She can use the snowboard technique to surf over those electric balls, but it's still a bear getting him down, because only one of his heads is vulnerable at any time, and he may have as many as five!

"Aright if you do the ricochet throw it's a little easier to hit him, but you have to get it pixel perfect! And so Herculass (that's me) vanquishes the mighty hydra, at the expense of her damn thumbs but I do if for you guys!" She slips between a rain of laser fire, every move counts and she's gotta think fast, but as the boss starts to flash red, it seems the end may be nigh.

Whether through her own skill or divine intervention... It works! BOOOM, down goes the dragon in a shower of bubbly explosions, all three heads twisting and screaming!

"Am I done? I'm just.. I can't.." Suddenly it all catches up with Bea, she hasn't been this into a game in a while! "I'd give a big victory scream but I don't think I have in meOOOOOOOOOOH IN YOUR FACES, ALL FIVE OF THEM ASSHOLE!"

Glem's father comes up-- it's strange, how strong and burly he looked at the beginning of the game, and how Glem seems to tower over him now.

["You've actually beaten 6R316-UE... Son, I don't know what to say!"] The wreckage of the dragon rumbles. ["CALL ME BY MY NAME... DAD."]

Suddenly the same neon and metal cloud rises from the dragon's heap-- and flies right into Glem!

"Aww.. Maybe his dad really just wanted to- OH NO!"

["Glem! No!"]

As Glem falls to the ground, his father grabs the Discus and tosses it into the air-- where it becomes another cloud and pursues the first into Glem!

"I... I don't know whats happening? Did I do something wrong? Is there more??" She tries tapping the buttons lightly, bracing herself for another boss fight

A new stage starts-- and it's not like any other stage in the game. It's sort of like Tron and sort of like Bomberman; a high-speed chase through Glem's own brain, where you have to use the blue bombs to block off the silver dragon-headed tapeworms and force them to destroy themselves!

Bea is visibly dozing off as she battle rages on, somehow just barely mashing buttons well enough to stay alive, even if she wanders aimlessly into a corner now and then. "s'gonna be over soon. I can feel it, I will persist, and so on, die already"

"You guys are gonna have better luck piecing together what's happening than I am, I am- I'm almost dead now" she's down to one health pip!

Finally, there's only one dragon head left, chasing Bea's glowing avatar (Glem's soul?) through the maze faster than ever. All it takes is one well-placed bomb, that spins the walls around and captures the dragon in a cube, making it spin faster and faster and finally swallow its own tail!

The whole screen erupts in digital explosions, and fades back to the workshop, where Glem's father is holding his son, head in his lap.

Bea actually slumps out of her chair for comic effect, but then falls on the floor for real. (THUD)

"OW! Shhh... I'm fine, just.. Not gonna do that again" (at least she's awake!)

The story plays out on the screen as Glem's eyes flicker open, his father hugging him tightly.

[I should have trusted you. You haven't just saved me-- you saved this world I built for us.]

Now the game presents Bea with a final choice:

"Know what? somebody's gotta keep an eye on this place or things just go cray cray so.. all right, dad. We'll stay here, together. And have a cool robot family! I hope. Do you think we could rebuild Greg and make him nice? I feel kind of bad for him"

[I want to stay here.] [After all I've put you through here, you want to stay?] His dad hugs him tight. [The ship launches in three hours... But we won't be on it.]

The scene cuts to Glem and his dad watching the ship sail into the sky... And fades to black.

The torn and tarnished landscape reappears, and the cast roll begins-- all the monsters and meanies Glem fought pass by and are named, from Hopteran to Angul and even some Bea missed (what in the world was Wuggykins?). As the cast rolls by, the landscape slowly heals, going from brown and parched to green and welcoming, and crops and buildings start to appear. Even the sky goes from yellow to blue.

"I sure hope so. I have a lot of questions but, all's well that ends well, I guess!" She leans back in her chair as she watches, a smile creeping over her face. "This is the kind of game I didn't WANT to end, in a way. This deserves a sequel!"

Finally the five faces of 6R316-UE appear, and cackle cruelly as the characters in its name change one by one to GREIGUE.

The faces disappear one by one, as do the letters... And when the word says GRE_G__, the dragon face looks sad as it disappears.

Then a speck appears in the sky. The ship has returned! We fade back in on Glem and his dad as they watch it land...and out comes the whole family.

Names appear over everyone as they run out and hug Glem and his dad: RIKEL, a tiny little girl who falls flat on her face as she runs for Daddy's arms. ZORK and MARG, twin boys who grab each other and start wrestling before they can even join the family group. RENK, a boy who looks close to Glem's age who runs out to hug him first. And finally out comes...

Redmom runs up to her husband and they embrace as their names appear: JOYRIDER and JAYWALKER.

She sees the names. "Nnnnnnnng, 'Jaywalker'" she massages her temples.

The words The End appear in the sky as the family embraces in their new home, and the screen fades to black... But before it restarts, the sad dragon face appears once more with a message:

She doesn't turn it off right away, though. She lingers, thinking over some of the things she's seen. Is it more than just a bunch of recurring characters that show up through these games? There has to be more to their story, but maybe for another time.

Damian from Dceased would be a cool pre-existing option for this prompt. I know DC vs Vampires is more popular on tumblr and probably in general but please let me lore dump on this.

In his last appearance DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8 Damian's just turned 18, he's lost almost all members of the batfam (Alfred and Cass I think are still kicking, Steph is an unknown because Damian begged Talia to take her to a pit when she was dying and he never finds out what happened to her) and he likes aborbs the life equation from Cyborg and sacrifices himself to save the galaxy from the anti-life equation zombies. Any death moment is a great excuse to isekai someone is what anime taught me so it seems like it'd work.

Notable facts from the Dceased timeline that could be tasty angst food for showing up in the past:

At the start of Dceased, Damian and Alfred lose everyone super quickly. Basically the anti-life virus infected people through the internet so Babs, Dick, and Tim all are turned about immediately. Dick and Tim are at the manor and start attacking Alfred, Bruce intervenes and saves Alfred but gets infected in the process. Alfred ends up having to kill all 3 of them with his shotgun which gives Alfred super PTSD (panel below is one of Alfred's nightmares afterwards).

Before he dies, Bruce gives Alfred a package and letter for Damian. The package? A batman costume in Damian's size and the letter basically says the mantle is his job now. (lowkey wtf bruce why do your last words to your kid gotta be batman related omg.) Since Damian was with the supers when this started his story and the justice league's are pretty intertwined but on a high level, he becomes Batman gets reunited with Steph who becomes his Robin (this dynamic SLAPS).

Damian also made his way back to the batcave at one point and found that Jason must have beaten him there because Bruce, Dick, and Tim are now buried and this is where this iconic panel comes in:

I think this moment is key, because if you want a Damian who particularly moved by Jason finding him Dceased Damian has good reason. In this moment he realizes he may at least still have one brother alive in this world, but tragically, the world is doing VERY bad. The JL determines fleeing the planet is their best option. They setup some space ships in key cities around the world for a survivor exodus, and to Damian's Jason does not show up to any.

Unbeknownst to him, Jason and Cass are actually together and alive but defending a orphanage alongside Rose Wilson, Mary Marvel, and Commissioner Gordon. They didn't have any transportation that could get them and the kids all to a ship by launch time so they had to hunker down unless they intended to abandon some of the orphans.

5 years later, the JL ends up coming back to Earth and Jason and Damian do end up reuniting, Jason tells him Bruce was right to make him Batman and Damian freaks out cause Jason actually got married. He also finds out Cass is alive. Its like a happy moment before things go downhill again.

And they go downhill very quickly, Constantine enlists the help of Jason, Damian, Rose, Cass, and Swamp Thing to go on an adventure to get the spear of destiny and go the Rock of Eternity and while at the second location an infected Capt Marvel Jr (Freddy) kills Jason before Cass takes the staff from Shazam and uses her newfound lightning powers to kill Freddy.

Rose is super upset to have her husband killed in front of her (TWICE THANKS TO HER BEING ABLE TO SEE THE FUTURE) and Damian is pissed that the family he JUST got back is now dead.

Damian gets extra pissed when Constantine doesn't even apologize for getting his brother killed after promising him no one would die. Why not apologize? John reveals he literally bamboozled Damian into giving support for his plan with the loophole of only promising to not kill anyone who wasn't ALREADY dead. lmfao. Damian did at least deck him for it but like the absolute audacity, but GOD Constantine was so funny and out of line on that.

Honestly that sums up all the batfam deaths prior to Damian's own. But his final panels go INSANELY HARD. He's literally like you took my family and I'm gonna take you out. Peak Batman vibes. Usually I hate Damian being the one with the mantle but I think it really worked in this run.

THE SCALE i think the way they use scale is one of my favorite concepts from this anime The "fight-time anime characters are insanely powerful so we are just gonna start out like you have all this cultural base knowledge built up and just run with that so you're going to be fighting a new demon lord every few episodes" and by the end it's like "these god-like beings hanging out and filming Loyd killing monsters like overly-excited family members on a field trip" the animosity/grandfatherly affection from a guy who is an Archetype made flesh trying to end the world so he can CREATE A NEW HERO TI FILL THAT ARCHETYPE AND FINALLY DIE CUZ HE'S BEEN AROUND SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD and like oh my god

the relationships that immortal beings have with mortals and the scale they are working on is so fascinating to me like this guy is manufacturing an apocalypse and becoming The Big Bad and being eeeeeviiiiilllll so Loyd can defeat him, but he'd got the vibe of "La La La! look at this lovely camping trip I'm planning, my grandson will love it so much, what a fun adventure!"

And it works in other concepts like it takes the idea of "this random ass man is suddenly the most important guy ever and everyone loves him- even the king -and so many people in super unrealistic stations" and that's super fun and turns it up to 5 million and burns the dial into dust.

like, its so funny because, of course this guy is important, because fucking gods are paying attention to him and trying to give him enrichment. Like a lot of the anime i watch where you have this really bland guy being so powerful is because it's a power fantasy and the guy is you (and they don't know you so lets make him as vague as possible), and that's super fun, but they take the ideas and tropes that arise from that "you get to be the most important and most powerful but still a normal guy" situation and go "what if we made a reason for all of this nonsense to be what actually makes sense to happen?" like like :3 Suppose a guy from the last dungeon boonies moved to the starter town?

- Trigun (Anime) - Still hyperfixated, there’s some pretty good fics coming out for this fandom. 

- The Vampire Dies In No Time (Anime) - I don’t have anything new to say about this one, it’s stupid but in an endearing way, John is adorable. 

- Love Is War (Anime) - Now completely caught up, I definitely see why this is one of the top ranked romance anime, its very funny with super likable characters and creative setups for comedy. There actually seems to be quite a lack of fanrt for it though considering the size of the fandom, strange. 

- Tengoku Daimakyou (Anime) - I’m not sure what to expect with this one which is a good thing, it’s got some genuinely interesting worldbuilding so far. Also a trans lead, which is pretty cool. I’m really interested to see where this goes, it’s been a while since I’ve gone so blind into a mystery like this. 

- Dr, Stone (Anime) - Glad it’s back, the bread baking concept was fun, and I still love Senku as a protagonist. 

- Oshi No Ko (Anime) - Well this show is. Interesting. I saw it trending pretty high on my anime list which I thought was strange given that idol anime rarely break out of their specific idol-loving fanbase, but then I read a summary on the first episode and yeah I get it now. There are some...weird elements to the story that I really don’t appreciate but the main plot is pretty engaging, and I’m really enjoying all the behind the scenes entertainment industry info and acting drama-Makes me nostalgic for Skip Beat!.I need more time to grow attached to the characters themselves but if they keep up the acting drama this could be a favorite for the season.

- Campfire Cooking in Another World (Anime) - Finished the first season of this relaxing cooking anime. I think it succeeded in being exactly wanted it wanted to be, and I can respect that. I hope it gets a 2nd season, as I quite like this little monster family and want to see their low stakes adventures continue. Also it made me really miss Japanese food with how good they made it look. I want katsudon so bad. 

- The Locked Tomb Series (Books) - Well the end of Gideon the Ninth made me feel many emotions. I’m making my way through Harrow fairly slowly but the Ianth/Harrow interactions have been a blast. I miss Gideon though TT_TT Please let me see my lesbian himbo soon.

- Resident Evil 4 (Video Game) - Most of the way through 4 now, we’ve been watching the cutscenes with stupid outfits on Leon and Ashley which really changes the tone of them I’ll tell you. I forgot how short of a game it is but it’s been a ton of fun. Might buy it myself to replay a few times.

I FINISHED SEASON 2 OF VOLTRON

OKAY SO SO SO that was a WILD season and the showdown in the last 2 episodes? it was so dramatic and deserved. Really interesting to see the mages(?) get more screentime (though barely) because they are so funky. what are they doing why are they there. but anyways like last time I'lll put the rest below xD

BACK ABOUT THE MAGES. I don't remember their names but the head mage gives off "puppeteering-everything-from-the-background" vibes. I wouldn't be surprised if they turned out to be the real mastermind behind it all. Like if the magic was used to corrupt some minds and help build the empire. Although I don't know what that would do to the world building?

Shiro. WHERE DID SHIRO GO. Like they went HARD on Shiro this season. He's trying his best but life keeps attacking him. The mind battles he has are super cool and WOW this man can fight. but also Shiro do you ever sleep. does he sleep. does he believe in self care. I don't think he's ever heard of sleep before.

Pidge gives off some of the vibes of Haruhi from OHHC. They both have similar genders. Love how she gets time to shine at the tech planet!

Hunk being a master chef is cool, especially considering he's probably never seen any of those ingredients before. Still kinda disappointing that they made 3/4 of his personality food. I also think he'd be good at hugs lol

Keith my man are you okay?? I'm getting vibes of orphan club which like same xD. But also now that Shiro is gone Keith is probably going to have to take over? The red lion has shown to act independently so if Keith takes over the black lion then they could still form voltron? (the black lion has show to not care as mucha bout who's in it, at least compared to the red lion.

ALSO the red lion acting independently feels kind of like a parallel to hyper-vigilance. Keith doesn't feel safe often so his lion is always on guard and ready to protect, unlike a lot of people who generally don't have such a hyperactive "I must protect myself at all costs" mentality. It's the constantly engaged survival instincts you honour

Love how lance is just some guy. I am not invested in him and I feel like he would not be invested in me if we ever met xD. Love how he's just some guy while Shiro has gone through insurmountable psychological and physical trauma. he's just there.

THE MERMAID ADVENTURE WAS SUPER NEAT. LOVE HOW THE QUEEN DIDN'T TURN OUT TO BE BAD (maybe? it felt a little rushed when it got to that point). The suspense of figuring out what was causing the mind control was pretty neat. Also the giant worm beast was living it's life. technically wasn't decimating the mermaid population so.. (joking joking I just really liked its design)

Black lion trust battles are super cool. But I gotta say the black lion has like, reverse trust issues. please just stop trying to pick the genocidal dictator that keeps killing millions of people. please. Though it does make me wonder if part of the reason the black lion accepted Shiro so fast was because Shiro reminded the black lion of the previous paladin? With the arm and vibes and everything?

Coran is growing on me. he's just built like that and honestly good for him. He's like a space dad. Also emo Coran is great, might be a heavy stereotype but you know what we can ignore that and let him own it. Give him back that haircut. Also how he speaks sometimes makes me think that he's not from the same planet Allura is? Like maybe he's from a sister planet of a species that evolved extremely similar but not identical. Because he can't do everything Allura can. UNLESS Allura can do it because she's a princess whichhhh eh. It's cool for her but also tiring to see the whole "royal families are good and deserve their positions because they are inherently more special and valuable" sort of message.

ALLURA. QUEEN. SHE IS FLEXING HER POWER AND I SUPPORT HER ON THAT ENDEAVOUR. She was being mean to Keith but all things considering I can understand her hesitance considering everything. Stills sucks that Keith had to go through her projections. but also DAMN when she blends in to sneak onto the ship I loved seeing her fight. like her fighting style there was literally "what if I just slam everything together". I love that for her

also Keith being only half(?) human is really cool but WOW the team was not very understanding. Just let the guy be. He's trying his best but he also needs time to process and adapt. And I don't think he adapted too well if his first(ish) reaction to being part galra was to throw himself into enemy ships and nearly die AGAIN

red lion going feral is cool. Love how it has a stronger personality compared to the others, but it makes the other lions seem less powerful? not powerful perse but more so they get almost kidnapped a lot more and don't really do anything about it while the red lion will fight for its own freedom.

A NOTE ABOUT REQUESTS!

I will do my best to fulfill any requests I get while my ask box/requests are open! That being said, I cannot promise every request will get done, and that if they do, they’ll be done in a timely manner. I’m currently working on a long-form project that needs a lot of time and energy to come out consistently, so unless I’m doing a writing event most of my writing juice will be focused on that. That being said, if you want something ask! The worst I can possibly do is direct you towards someone else who might be able to write what you want if I cant.

The raven's someone who doesn't broaden what they personally wear too much because he believes others can pull off styles he couldn't, I think. Since being with you however, you're a good inspiration, and he tries to be more daring with his own style and occasionally wears your hats.

I dunno if getting self-conscious about it is something, but there's a knight in shining armor.

Often says to others, "Don't be angry because they dress better than you."

Often says to you something like, "I really like your coat today. It's like you're an agent or something. It's cool."

+ If you're more athletic, then he's either cheering for you or wants to play depending on the event. It's noted you're an especially good team together and people like playing with you guys since you're both good sports about everything.

+ If you're more homey, he's definitely cool with it, too. He could be the boyfriend and best friend sort if it suits you, whether you were friends prior or not. Can truly appreciate a day indoors and often offers to play video games.

It resonates with the redhead one of the best compared to the others, I think. He's often said he's not born what he seems to be, and if it's a common reason behind why you wear what you do, then birds of a feather. The both of you get close quite quickly because of it.

If not, it's still cool. He's been in South Park so long, and despite the four's adventures, he hadn't ever met someone in a sense like yours.

He'd likely tease, only a little. It was like finding a time capsule in this old town. Tries noticing when you wear new pieces and be the first complimenting it, and usually is.

+ If you're athletic, it suits him. Dates could consist of sports games if you were interested. Quick to defend you and what you can do to anyone doubting your abilities, with a dusty blush as he can admit to knowing firsthand as one of your most supportive cheerleaders. He's so proud of you.

+ If you're more homey, then you're aware this boy hopes you like books. No matter what though, he honestly cherishes any time with you because he's finally found someone to sit with, and he won't ever take it lightly.

It is super neat to her. Probably instigates the clothes stealing herself on you, and wears it as great as you do.

The most willing to wear the fashion publicly. If you're cool with it, sometimes you'd wear an entire outfit of hers and she'd wear one of yours meanwhile. It's adorable.

Number one cheerleader in supporting the person you are, no matter the personality, as you do the same for her.

+ If you're adventurous, the raven meshes really well with said personality. She's holding your hand as you maybe jump into lakes, maybe sneak around, or anything else you'd like. She believes she is very lucky with someone like you.

+ If you're a prankster, you two pretend to be one another and you'll both hide your hair in your hats so no matter the hair color :) It's especially hilarious if you guys don't have the same complexion. Everyone loves it.

+ Ah, and she especially likes any short hair. It contrasts with her longer hairstyle, and you'll brush one another if it suits you.

Shopping! Goes shopping with you and buys perfect pieces. And times, she'll go alone finding you gifts. She thinks it's cool picturing vintage, and it makes her happy making you smile.

The blonde'll wear your clothes if it'd make you happy, for sure, but only if you said so. Otherwise she'd be encouraged when she sees you to be more bold, like Stan, but with her own closet.

Open to dressing up with you around the house, and a common occurrence is having fun, laughing and kissing in its midst.

+ She's a huge fan of the lipsticks, glosses, and balms. I am unsure if it's something people do, but she'll share with you if you'd like. Wears what you prefer and tells you her favorites of yours, willing to play the guess the gloss flavor if it's interesting to you, too.

A/N: Hey guys!!! Sorry for posting this so late I just did this one a lot slower lol. Unfortunately, school's starting soon so I won't be able to write as often. I'm still working on 2 fics so keep that in mind if you want to request!

Carnivals were the best invention in the world, you decided. The rides, the food, the games, and you only get to enjoy it a few times a year. So when the carnival does come to visit, you always make sure to enjoy it as much as you can.

“Don’t you just lovvvveee carnivals?” You say, walking next to Raven.

“Well, Beast Boy and Cyborg have been trying to win an animal from a single game for the past hour and Robin and Starfire are probably making out on the ferris wheel, so not as much as you.” she says, staring straight ahead. The others had paired up and set off when you first entered the carnival, so that left you with Raven. And as much as you love Raven, you love her in a “meditating/book club” way, not a “fun adventure” way. You approached the two boys as they finally won their carnival game prize.

“Told you we’d win a prize” Beast Boy grinned at Raven, holding a toy chicken to her face.

“A giant chicken. I must be the luckiest girl in the world.” She said sarcastically.

Suddenly, Robin jumped in front of the four of you.

“Titans! Trouble!” He yelled, standing up from a crouching position.

“Where’s Starfire?” Cyborg asked.

“That's the trouble,” Robin said, then promptly took off. The four of you followed him close behind. He brings the four of you to a dock, where you finally see the “trouble” Robin was talking about. Starfire was being chased by a flying, squid-like space robot with tentacles and everything. She flies past the five of you, the flying machine doing the same.

“Who’s her new best friend?” Beast Boy asks, staring at the scene before you.

“Don’t know, but I can’t wait to meet him,” Robin said.

Starfire hid behind you as the flying machine continued to follow her. Beast Boy turned into an alligator and tried to attack the robotic squid, but missed. You tried to hit it with jets of water, but it bounced off of its exterior. Raven threw a hot dog cart at the machine with her telekinesis, but it simply tore straight through the cart. Cyborg grabbed onto the tentacles and strained as the machine tried to get away.

“Don't know what you did to make this thing mad, Star, but it couldn't hurt to apologize!” Cyborg yelled, trying to keep a grip on the tentacles.

“I am… sorry?” Starfire apologizes confusingly, taking shelter behind a grimacing Robin.

Cyborg loses grip on the mysterious space squid as Robin jumps forward. He hits the machine hard with his staff and it falls into the water. A moment of silence falls onto the six of you.

“So, did we just win?” Beast Boy asked.

His answer came in the form of the machine crashing through the floor and back into the sky. Robin jumps onto it.

“Don’t see an OFF switch,” He yells. “Guess I’ll have to make one!” He punches into the side of the machine. The machine goes haywire, and Robin jumps off of it before it flies crazily into the sky and blows up. Since there were already fireworks, any regular citizens could have easily mistaken it for one of the big finals. You turned your attention to Starfire.

“Starfire, are you alright?” you ask. She nodded with a small smile.

“Whatever that thing was, it can’t hurt you now.” Robin said, now next to her again.

Starfire frowned. “But… why did it wish to hurt me at all?”

You found yourself back in the tower after such an eventful night. Despite being attacked by some alien machine, Starfire seemed to be in a cheery mood.

“I shall thank you for my rescue by reciting the Poem of Gratitude, all six thousand verses.” She said, a giant smile on her face. You and the others stopped dead in your tracks, not excited for how the rest of the night will seem to go.

“I think ‘thank you’ cuts it,” You say.

Suddenly, you hear a voice. “I see you haven’t changed a bit.” The voice belonged to a girl who bore a striking resemblance to Starfire. She had long, black hair, and wore a black outfit similar to Starfire, except hers had more metal components. The mystery girl continued.

“When we were little, I was always rescuing Starfire.”

“Sister!” Starfire squealed, running to hug her. Starfire’s sister smiled, holding up a necklace with a large green gem as the pendant.

“A Centauri Moon Diamond?? Where did you get-”

“On the Centauri Moons of course.” the sister said, fastening the necklace around Starfire’s neck. “Oh look, it matches your eyes.” Starfire smiled brightly. You remember that you’ve been staring at the two of them interacting when she turns to the five of you.

“I wish to introduce my big sister,” Starfire said. Her sister stepped in front of her.

“Blackfire,” she said. “ And since Star told me all about the Titans in her transmissions, let me guess.” She walks over to Cyborg.

“Cyborg,” She guessed correctly.

“Pleased to meet you little lady,” Cyborg says, holding out his hand. She takes it and you hear the sound of metal bending. Cyborg holds up his hand, now bent out of shape.

“Little lady, big handshake. Well alright!” he says with a smile. Blackfire moves on.

“Raven. I like that gemstone on your Ajna chakra,” Blackfire says.

“You know about chakras?” Raven asked, mildly impressed.

“I got way into meditation on Altara Prime.” She says casually. She then turned to you.

“Aquagirl. Oh my god your outfit is soooo cute! And your hair, how do you get it so healthy?” She said, clasping your hands. Her voice was nothing like Starfire’s; it was much smoother, and more confident, not to mention she had the American accent down.

“Mix of coconut oil, avocado, and a cabinet full of hair ointments” you wink.

“You’ll have to give me tips.” she winked back.

She continued her introductions, finally getting to Robin. She was all over him, complimenting his outfit, calling his mask ‘mysterious’, etc. You saw Starfire steaming with anger, even if she didn’t show it. She intercepted them as Blackfire got close to his face.

“So beloved sister, what brings you to Earth?” Starfire asks, an annoyed grin spread across her face.

“I was in the quadrant. Thought I'd see if Earthlings like to party.” She said, hopping onto the couch. “Besides, I needed a rest. Nearly got sucked into a black hole on the way here.” Immediately, the three boys rushed over to her, the three of you girls still behind them. You rolled your eyes at the sight of the three teens crowding around Blackfire.

“Black hole?”

“No way!”

“Cool”

You could feel Blackfire’s smirk as she began her story.

“Okay. I’m cruising through Draconis Nebula and-”

Starfire interrupted. “Sister! That nebula is full of black holes! You know travel there is forbidden.” The four teens on the couch stared at her.

“Most fun things in life are. Now be a sweetie and bring me one of those sodas I've heard so much about.” Blackfire waved at her and turned back to the boys. You heard her continue the story, but all you could focus on was Starfire grumbling towards the fridge. You look at Raven; your way of saying Ill go after her.

You find Starfire taking a soda can out of the fridge, talking to herself.

“Starfire?” you ask. She flinches at your approach, almost dropping the soda in her hand.

“Oh! Aquagirl. You have caught me off guard, my apologies,” she rubs her neck, blushing.

“You alright? You seemed a little worked up back there,” you say as the teen straightened herself up.

“Oh it's nothing, it's just that…” she sighed, closing the refrigerator. “My sister has always acted in such a way that can cause me to feel… annoyed.”

“Oh well, if you ever want to talk about it, I’m always here.” She hugs you, still holding the can of soda.

“Thank you my friend”

The next day, You were sitting in your room. Starfire barged in while you were rubbing the water from your head with your towel.

“Oh hey Starfire! What's up?” you smile, putting the towel onto your bed.

“Aquagirl! Have you seen Blackfire?” she asked. You noticed that she seemed distressed, but decided to answer her question first.

“Oh! We just went surfing! She crushed those waves!” You say, reminiscing. She was surprisingly good at surfing, especially since she told you it was her first time. Starfire frowned.

“Oh. alright.” you frowned back at her answer.

“Well, I think she might be with Robin right now. Is everything alright?” you ask. Her face turns bright red at the mention of Robin’s name.

“N- I mean, yes! Everything is alright. I must go.” She slammed the door before you could say anything. You wanted to go after her, but you figured since she left so quickly, she's probably not in the mood to talk. You went about your day, still a little worried about her.

Nighttime fell, and you sat on the couch with the other Titans, relaxing after an uneventful day. Starfire skipped in holding popcorn, candy, and a bunch of CDs.

“Friends! I invite you to join me in the togetherness of a stay-home movie night. I bring you popcorn and non-cotton candies. Tell me, what sort of movie shall we view?”

“Action,” said Robin.

“Romance!” you cheered.

“Comedy.” spat Beast Boy.

“Sci-fi” Cyborg offered.

“Horror.” Raven said flatly. Starfire drops her goodies.

“Perhaps a double feature?” she asked.

“Forget the flicks, kids.” You looked up to see Blackfire, now dressed in Starfire’s clothes. “We’re going out!”

“We are? Where did you- How did you-” Starfire stuttered, obviously confused by her sister’s new look.

“Heard about a party downtown,” Blackfire continued, ignoring her sister. “Cool crowd, hot music”

“Sound’s nice!” you say.

“Yeah!” Beast Boy agrees.

“I’m in!” Cyborg says.

“Why not?” Robin smiles. Raven kept looking at her book.

“And it's in an abandoned warehouse,” Blackfire adds. Raven looked up from her book, her way of saying that she's in. You all began to leave. You noticed Starfire still standing where she was, looking a bit sadder.

“Starfire? you coming?” you asked, walking by her.

“Oh um, I guess I will go,” she said, hanging her head a bit. You looked at her but she didn’t meet your eyes. Maybe she’s tired, you thought, walking to catch up with the other titans.

You entered the party, taking in the colorful lights and dancing teens. You followed Blackfire onto the dance floor, who seemed to already be dancing.

“Step aside Earthlings, the queen of the galaxy has arrived!” she cheered, swaying her hips with the other teens. She looks at the rest of you, a smirk on her face.

“Now don't tell me you big tough superheroes are afraid of a little dancing.” she says, beckoning you to do so. The boys joined in, and you noticed that Raven left the dance floor with a boy. The only people who weren’t dancing were you and Starfire. Starfire looked scared, she was clutching her new necklace, and you swore that she said something about shovels. You came up to her and took her hand.

“Let’s go Starfire, I think you need some air.” you say, leading her to the stairwell.

You sat next to her on the roof, both awkwardly silent.

“So, what's wrong?” you finally say.

“It’s my sister again,” she sighs. “It feels as though she has stolen you all from me, and I don’t know how to keep that from happening.”

“Hey. we’ll always be your friends, just as you’ll be ours. And she didn’t steal us from you, we just thought she was cool and all-” you were cut off by a yell from the part below.

“YO A.G.!!! YOU GOTTA COME DOWN HERE!!!” Cyborg yelled. You looked at the direction of the sound and then back at Starfire, who was staring at the ground.

“Oh- uh they probably need me, I’ll be right back,” You say, rubbing her arm. “HANG ON I'LL BE THERE IN A SEC!”

You race down to the dance floor and see Cyborg dancing.

“YO THEY’RE TOTALLY PLAYING YOUR SONG!” he yelled. Ugh I should get back to Starfire but they are totally playing my song, you thought. You look at Cyborg again, who was waving at you to join him. You see Robin next to you and pull him aside.

“Hey Aquagirl! Where’s Starfire?” He asked. You cross your arms.

“She’s upstairs on the roof. Listen, she’s super down in the dumps right now, I think you should talk to her.” You say. He nods and leaves, heading towards the stairs. You sigh as you go back to join your other friends. You bump into Blackfire, who was now sporting a neon pink wig.

“Um, nice wig,” you say.

“Thanks hot stuff. Where’s Robin? I saw you with him earlier.” She asked, still dancing. You weren’t sure if it was the best idea to tell her.

“He’s uhhhhhhh….” you try to stall.

“... with Starfire.” she finishes. You turn to see her staring through the glass roof, where you could see Robin and Starfire sitting together. She turns to the rest of you.

“One sec guys!” She winks. Less than a minute goes by and she reappears with Robin. You make eye contact; he seemed annoyed by being back here.

“We HAVE to dance to this song!” she says, starting to dance again next to Robin. He steps away from her.

“Sorry, but I’m going to check on Starfire again.” Robin says, heading to the stairwell again. Blackfire follows him, trying to get him to return, leaving you with Cyborg and Beast Boy. They continue to dance and you roll your eyes.

Suddenly, you notice Starfire fighting something. You squint at her location, then realize that what she's attacking is one of the robots from yesterday. You look at the two boys who’ve quite literally been dancing the whole time.

“Cyborg! Beast Boy! Starfire’s in trouble!” You yell, already running towards the exit. Suddenly, another of those robots appears out of nowhere.

“What the- AHHHHH!!!!” you scream as the robot latches onto you and drags you away. The two boys try to follow you but a third robot attacks them, leaving you to still be stuck in the clutches of the space robot. You see Raven hanging out with the boy from earlier (they’d be a cute couple huh) and she spots you. She flies after you, flinging two robots towards the machine as you finally break free. Starfire crashes into the room through the ceiling and lands in the crates, Cyborg and Beast Boy still taking on the other robot.

All three of the robots start chasing Starfire, and she flies around the room trying to lose them. Cyborg knocks into them and lays some punches, you trying to short circuit them by spraying them with water. One of the robots hits Cyborg, sending him flying into a wall. Another one sends Starfire flying into a different wall, and she lands in a dumpster. You run to the hole in the wall to find the aliens trying to bring the whole dumpster into the air. You were about to try to strike them when you saw a flash- the flash of a birdarang. It cuts into the arms of the robot and drops the container. Robin joins the rest of you.

“Titans Go!” Robin yells, but Blackfire flies out in front of you. In a matter of seconds she demolished all three robots. You all surrounded her as she stood victoriously.

“Aw yeah! Good times!”

“Nice shot, Tex!”

“Very nice.”

“Couldn’t have said it better myself!”

“How did you know where to hit them?” Robin asked.

“Lucky guess,” Blackfire shrugged. Cyborg stepped forward.

“We could use luck like that,” he said. “Maybe you oughta join the team.”

“Me? A teen titan?” Blackfire asked, obviously flattered. You couldn’t help but notice Starfire looking away, a defeated look on her face. I should talk to her again, you decided.

You and Robin found Starfire standing on the roof of the Titans Tower. You found out that you both had the idea of finishing up your conversations, but it seemed that Starfire had different plans. You reach her as she floats into the air.

“Were you going to leave without saying goodbye?” Robin asked, causing her to whip around to face the two of you.

“A little rude if you ask me,” you tried to joke, but she didn’t laugh. Her head hanging, she slowly landed back on the roof, taking off the backpack she was wearing.

“Aquagirl, Robin, I- '' She began, but was cut off by the sound of a spaceship coming towards you. One of the aliens on board unleashes its arm, which is a tentacle much like one of the robot’s, and slashes you and Robin, sending you both to the ground. It then wraps around Starfire, pulling her into the ship.

Robin runs towards the screaming Starfire and jumps from the roof and towards the ship. You watch in horror as he misses, and begins the fall towards the ground. The ship continues its ascent into the air.

“ROBIN!” you scream, running towards the edge of the Tower’s roof. You can do this, you can do this, you can-

You focused hard, and raised your arms above you. A geyser of water shoots up from the shore and catches Robin. You raised the geyser up towards the hull of the spaceship, allowing the Boy Wonder to grab onto the bottom and make his way up. Seeing that he made it safely on board, you dropped the geyser of water.

You fell to your knees, breathing heavily. You haven’t made such a strong geyser in, well, never! Your vision was blurring as Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven all rushed onto the roof.

“Aquagirl! What happened?” Cyborg asked, helping you up.

“Starfire… Spaceship… Robin… I helped…” you huffed, pointing towards the spaceship, which was now far away from the tower.

“We gotta catch up to them. But how?” Beast Boy said, staring at the silhouette in the distance.

“Follow my lead.” Raven said, grabbing on to Beast Boy and Cyborg, who was holding into you. You watched as she made a dark portal in front of you. She pulled the three of you through it and you found yourself in the outskirts of the city, next to mountains and a river. You see Starfire and Robin up ahead, in front of a now toppled over spaceship.

“Starfire! Robin!” Beast Boy yelled as you caught up to them.

“Are you alright?” Cyborg asked. Suddenly, you see two aliens emerge from the shipwreck.

“Titans! Get ready!” he said, assuming a fighting stance, which you follow. You wait tensely as the aliens approach you.

“In the name of the Grand Centauri Empire, you are all under arrest.” one of the aliens says, showing off a professional looking police badge. You stare at it. If they're police, why are they arresting us? And why are we fighting them?

“Uh… you can’t be the good guys. We’re the good guys.” Beast Boy says, just as confused as you are.

“And we are the Centauri Police,” the second alien repeats.

“The Tamaranean girl is a liar and a thief.” the first police alien says, pointing at Starfire. “She's committed high crimes throughout the entire Centauri system.”

“I have never even been to the Centauri moons!” Starfire pleaded.

Suddenly everything clicked. The necklace, the events at the carnival, the events at the party. All evidence seemed to have pointed to Starfire, but they actually pointed at another person.

“But I know someone who has.” you and Robin say at the same time. You look at each other, obviously aware of who the other was thinking.

Blackfire.

Robin took off Starfire’s necklace for her and threw it aside. He faced the police aliens.

“You’ve been chasing the wrong girl. Where’s Blackfire?” Robin says. Before any of the other Titans could answer, you saw a figure flying through the sky.

“That Bitch!” you yelled, watching Blackfire make an escape.

“Don’t worry Star, she won't get away with this,” Robin says to Starfire, but her eyes are already glowing.

“No she will not!” she yells, and shoots off into the sky. You couldn’t see much, but there were flashes of bright green and purple in the sky. The Centauri police calmly rebalanced their ship and restarted it, its engine humming to life.

You then watched as they proceeded to fly up into the sky and capture Blackfire, similar to how they initially captured Starfire, and fly off into the night. You stared dumbfounded.

"What just happened?"

The next morning, you stood in front of the kitchen, making pancakes with Cyborg.

“Crazy what happened last night, huh?” you yawned, watching the pancakes sizzle on the stove.

“No kidding,” he said. “She would’ve made a great addition to the team, except for the intergalactic-criminal part.” You laughed, flipping the rest of the pancakes.

You climbed up to the roof, finding Robin and Starfire sitting together. God they’re probably being cheesy together you thought. You cleared your throat, the two of them jumping at your presence.

“Hey you two,” you winked. “Breakfast is ready!!!”

is super oblivious to your insecurities at first

like, he just wouldn’t understand how someone as pretty as you could be insecure!

precious boy thinks surely no one could think ill of you

so when he sees you lightly hugging yourself and wearing loose clothing, he’s confused

he thinks maybe you’re just feeling ill or something, so he’ll take care of you and double and triple check you’re feeling a-ok

like,,, he genuinely thinks you look so stunning

he might not be the articulate type to lay it on smooth and tell you, but sometimes it’s refreshing to not have to worry about whether or not he’s being truthful

when you crack and ask him if he’s okay with you “looking like that” he picks you up and twirls you around

“What do you mean? Why wouldn’t I be happy my partner looks like an absolute model?” He’s genuinely confused, and the sincerity of his tone is more than you could ever ask. 

“I just… I mean, everyone else thinks I’m… fat and lazy… That I don’t do anything for you...” You mumble the last bits, ashamed of yourself because they’re right, aren’t they?

He tilts his head like a lost pup. “They must be stupid. Or blind. Actually, probably both,” he decides confidently, nodding to himself. “No lazy person could go on adventures with me or make me those yummy homemade bentos!”

“You think so?”

“Absolutely!” 

He pulls you into his chest and hugs you tight. When it comes to your next date night, he makes you feel like you’re the most beautiful person in the world, which probably plays into the fact he definitely thinks you are! He cuddles you and kisses you all over while watching a bunch of your favourite movies. 

He makes sure to reassure you in new ways a bunch how much he loves you! He tries to make you homemade sweets (which fail a bit, but it leads to you two baking together!) and will make those cool, unfolding boxes with a bunch of things written on the sides that he loves about you. Bo loves you to death for everything you are, and would scream it out to the world if he could!

he’s keen, he knows what others say

when he catches you eating smaller portions or hiding yourself in crowds, he understands exactly why

he likely won’t confront you directly unless it turns into something major

instead, he’ll start leaving little notes or little gifts around to make you feel better about yourself

start taking initiative in some things he would usually feel too shy for

will cuddle you outta nowhere, kisses you on your shoulders and hands and forehead and neck

while he’s reading or doing something independent, he’ll go out of his way to be near you or in the same room while he does it

holds your hands outta nowhere too, rubs your hand with his thumb

if he can, he’ll braid and play with your hair

starts speaking his mind more on how you look and all that

when you ask him about the whispers and how other people think, he’ll kiss you on the forehead and reassure you like a got damb speecher, articulate as fuhck

“Darling, you’re very healthy and do so much good for your body. It doesn’t matter how you look. Even if you do look absolutely stunning.” He pulls you into a hug and hums, content.

“Thanks baby… You really think so?”

“Of course. People who say that are probably skinny through pure luck despite how much junk food they shove in their face and how much time they spend on their asses watching reality TV shows for genuine entertainment.”

You can’t help but chuckle. 

“There’s that smile I love to see.”

He holds you close when you two go out, and if you feel sad again or poorly about yourself, he makes sure to remind you of how much you’ve grown and achieved, telling you how proud he is of you and how much he loves you for who you are and how you look. He always makes sure to avoid any words or topics he knows will make you doubt yourself, relishing in the smiles you give him.

──────〔Sugawara Koushi〕──────

0 tolerance for people who slander you,,,

like are they blind??? stupid?? braindead?? LOOK AT YOU look at how PRETTY you are!

will speak his mind whenever he thinks you look nice, which is multiple times a day

when you look at him like ??? he just goes “oh, you looked like a movie character just then, like really crazily pretty just cleaning the dishes.” 

he 100% buys you clothes that show your form, and he’ll tell you how much he just wants to see you

when you bring up how you feel about others’ murmurings and whatnot, he proteccs you like a true boyfie

will shower you in compliments and lovingly snuggle you in every way possible until you understand how beautiful your body is

When you talk to him about your insecurities, he’s devastated you have to feel like that, but he thanks you for trusting him and promises he’s not going to hurt you. Instead, he brushes his thumb over your cheek and listens to you and talks when there’s breaks.

“Sweetheart, they don’t know anything about us. It’s us two, not us two and also 10 other weirdos who can’t mind their own business. And between you and I, I love how you look. Who cares if you have fat on your tummy and arms and hips? It’s cute and I love getting to cuddle your soft body. And it’s not like you’re unhealthy. You take care of yourself, and I’m so proud of you for that.”

Him acknowledging it and loving you anyway has you melting into him, and you can’t help but want to kiss him and hold him tight forever. 

“I love you Koushi, I’m so lucky to have you.”

And he’ll scold you because he’s the lucky one to be with someone like you, and he won’t let you forget it in the way he kisses you softly and murmurs sweet nothings half asleep and holds you close to sway back and forth, clumsily dancing to a playlist he made just for you.
