this is so rafe sitting outside on the patio after a long day. you come out from the kitchen’s sliding glass door with another shallow glass of liquor for him, swaying your frilly-skirt clad hips to draw his attention. you don’t really have to try though, he draws you in with a gentle hand on your waist when you come to him, guiding you to sit on his lap as he takes the drink from your hand.

“thanks, baby.” he rumbles in a groggy voice, sliding his warm palm over your exposed thigh as you sit down. the air is chilly against your skin, the summer having been swept from under you. you get goosebumps — from the air or his touch, you’re not sure — he rubs your leg gently. “you cold?”

“i’m okay.” you answer in a hushed voice, leaning against his warm sweater in hopes he’ll let you stay there forever.

Cal and Andre playing Kahoot if they were teens nowadays,,

They always partner up ofc and they make their name “Army of Two” or “Army of 2” no doubt. Cal initially suggested making it like “Jack Hoff” or something like that, but quickly agreed to Andre’s suggestion of making it Army of Two/2.

Calvin says one of the wrong answers aloud to sabotage his classmates HELP. But Andre stays quiet and tries to focus on getting the answers right.

When 99% of the class gets a question right, with around 1 or 2 people getting it wrong, Andre mumbles to Cal, “Who the fuck got it wrong?”

But then when Andre picks an answer and it’s wrong, Cal throws his hands up and hisses out, “I told you it was Circle, dude!”

In a dark classroom, Andre and Cal lower the brightness on their computer or laptop so that the light illuminating from the screen doesn’t give them away much if they get an answer wrong.

They act like they don’t care when they place in the top three, but for the rest of the class period they feel superior.

I just know they’re both STRESSING when the timer’s about to run out on a question and they start kinda arguing quietly until they’re able to decide on an answer.

They’re both secretive about their answers ‘cause they think people are looking at their screen trying to copy them. They assume they’re both smarter than their peers at school for obvious reasons. But most of their classmates don’t even know these quiet faggots exist :3

Terminal neurological issues still seem to exist, (Fallon Vacker seems to have some vague form of dementia, and if I'm remembering correctly, it's because of his age?) and so elves have clearly not been able to figure out the brain very well either despite having telepaths.

A friend and I (well, more like an affection) starting watching ofmd together, and I'd always casually referenced it as the gay pirate show, as one does. But she's so fucking keen and she sees through things so fast. After two episodes she turned to me and said "everyone just calls it the gay pirate show. it's extremely critical that you see the photo of the perp walk for luigi mangione as being propaganda. i've seen so many people wave it off and instead fawn over his looks. and trust me, i know it ended up being kind of pathetic and weird - but please don't brush it off as a "modelling opportunity" for him. it's a fucking terrifying message the police are sending.

i want to make a few comparisons here, in case you're not from the US or familiar with why the perp walk thing is something to pay attention to. just to set the groundwork for why this is a purposeful, unusual, and cruel act by the nyc police - for why this is not a common occurrence and for why that matters.

the prosecution alleges the show of force is due to the charge of "terrorism." for comparison, in june 2015, tsarnaev was found guilty for the boston marathon bombing, which killed 3 people and injured hundreds. his actions are considered to be an act of domestic terrorism. i have spent the last hour looking through google for pictures of similar to mangione's perp walk - and so far, i have found zero. i also just do not personally remember a moment like that, despite living in boston at the time.

they allege that luigi is a stone-cold killer who carried out a longterm plan, making him particularly dangerous. again for comparison: in nyc, recently cory martin was found guilty of the killing of brandy odom. the murder was planned and premeditated to steal insurance money. and yet no staged perp walk. why didn't her life matter enough for a "show of force"?

but mangione gets paraded by a veritable army of police officers as if he is a rabid animal. for a single citizen who allegedly killed one other single citizen, the "largest perp walk ever" occurs.

so what is the "strong message" that the mayor and the police were trying to send here? the mayor speaks as if mangione is already convicted of terrorism. there is a very thin number of people who feel threatened by the CEO's death. none of us felt like mangione needs to be under massive armed guard.

the message is that you shouldn't resist. they are trying to "make an example" of him - that if you behave badly and kill a single rich person, you'll be treated as if you killed hundreds of people. you will be treated worse than a man who was found guilty of terrorism. you will be considered guilty without trial. the message is that the rich are a protected class, and you cannot touch them without massive punishment. they are trying to prevent a revolution by showing dominance and force against you.

the message is that the police are a puppet of the wealthy and that the law is not equally applied across class disparity. it is "some are more equal than others." it is "one life is more precious than another."

the show of force wasn't for luigi. it was for us. it was a warning. they are trying to remind us who is really in control.
