In response to your tags on a post earlier, Neri and Noa de Acutis being co-talons is such a good idea and I hope it's canon now. I wonder if they're the House that took over the open Talon spot after House Kortez was, uh, forcefully removed from the position?

Speaking of heads, mine in my hands right now because why are there 9 people on this stage when it's implied that it's supposed to be the 8 Talons? Before I went to get a closer look at who was who I thought that maybe Acutis took the 4th Talon's seat' and the siblings held it together but neither of them are on this stage so scratch that idea

I wanted to know the names of the Talons during Veiguard since they're going to be in Facets of Determination. It's going to be silly if I just refer to them as their number throughout it (though I've already a picked out for Lucanis' mother because I wrote a story that's set the night she died... So it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to take that sort of liberty and its fan fiction I can do whatever I want forever)

This is a complete sidebar but Jacobus and Dareth should've been de Rivas. I don't think Viago should have been able to give Jacobus his own house or declare him a Crow and no longer a fledgling otherwise even if Noa seams okay with it It would be disrespectful and started a whole thing if he made that decision on another house's behalf regardless of him being a Talon. And while I'm spiraling, why isn't Chance a Cantori?

I'm thinking about sharing the main names I have as their own list so others can use them as inspiration for their own writing/clarification for Facets of Determination but I don't know if anyone would care

Dandadan Chapter 180 [spoilers!!!]

Currently this is one of the chillest chapter of all, there's no one fighting or anything, basically the team is still tryna figure out who's the sussy one in the school.

We still see a bunch of young adolescents trying to solve mysteries of the one targetting Momo and the group.

And Sanjome-sensei is the current suspicious one

Okay, so the white knife is for gaining spiritual abilities, by using it cutting yourself, you will have the power. While the black knife is for taking someone's power!

What is this???

Okay, as we read the previous chapter, that knife is a part of the Asura, a sword that can take one's power. Supposing this sword also has another usage, which is giving you that power by cutting yourself with that blade (?), not only sealing the opponent's power.

And it can only activate its usage if the opponent withdraw, basically anything, even a silly match worth-for-nothing, as long as you convince someone to lose, then you can take their power, IF they have power.

Okarun is safe, for now, since he didn't have any power within him anymore. Momo is on the hunt, even Granny Seiko, and Jiji & Aira are at currently not targetted, yet.

The enemy started to have more allies, it started with Sanjome-sensei, who is also known as Saint Germain, out of no where, he appeared in existence. His appearance probably changed everyone on the entire planet's memory, making it feel as if he is already there. And only Momo and Okarun found it strange, that they don't remember that he was in their school as their teacher.

Next, he targetted Kouki-san, the one controlling the pygmies in the previous chapters, but she soon controlled herself, admitted defeat and decided to be on the main's team.

Then, we have the man in suit, being the Ox that attacked Granny Seiko, but was defeated because she has 2 other people came to help. And right now, he is in prison for a while for damaging the restaurant, making noise pollution...

After that, we have Adachi-sensei, the one controlling the jiangshi, kinda the same like Kouki.

Finally, Okarun's bullier, idk his name. Ah, I know, he appeared in that previous chapter after Okarun returned the powers to Turbo Granny! (I'm too lazy finding it)

Could it be all because of that monster in chapter 50?

I believe we had this scenario before, where Zelda is playing matchmaker for Lavinia, when she learned that Zelda actually has en ever so small thing for a certain rabbit. 

But truth is... I think Lavi is a rather bad matchmaker. At least in terms of taking action to get them together. She is much rather having long talks with Zelda about when and how and possibilities of outcomes, never failing to encourage Zelda to do whatever is needed. Although, she might also be one to STOP the magister from doing something entirely headless. Since Lavinia's bound to Holistone in service, she'd not often have the chance to actually meet and talk to Lorsan. But since Lorsan is traveling, he might actually drop by and then when he does, Lavi is definitely observing VERY HARD and trying to see what he thinks about Zelda.

So yeah, rather than orchestrating things, she's gotta do the observing and spying and information forwarding. xD

Lavinia learns a new skill from Zelda

Uhm, so the standard answer is, of course, that any Merlin will one way or other, show Lavi how to deal with the left-over Hypogean magic within her. So the definite "feeling" of magic in and around herself, the certain things one can do to ease stress related to that, actual little spells and so on.

On another note, Zelda is such a powerhouse and crazy creature... that I feel like it would be so silly and cool if Lavi learned something as beautiful, delicate and soothing as sand mandala creation. Or like making small pottery creatures. Or making jewellery? xD Anything that's a little unexpected and shows Zelda's warm and caring side. Maybe it's crocheting? Felting? Well, origami, at the least!

Lavinia and Sena are comfortable with each others presence now, not least due to Valen, and there may have been little squibs from one to the other before. Well, naturally the first thing that comes to mind is Valen. And that's not gonna be all too exciting, since they have the SAME opinion about him. xD BUT, given the difference in universe, they would probably be quite interested in the subtle differences of the Valens.

Alternatively, if it's CelVerse Lavi, then she'd be just friends with Valen and the three of them have, given her experience etc, a VERY in-depth discussion about the Heroic Order! And subsequently the Celestials and their role against the Hypogeans and whether they might not also be required to help "Esperian" problems.

Since Celestino is a Merlin, whether Lavi is from CelVerse or her own, the fighting is training in regards to her Hypogean powers. Not that Celestino would have to really break a sweat, though, it's all basic routine stuff. And yet, sometimes, he might make it extra tough for Lavi, not only forcing her to use her magic but also still the sword to win. And I don't see a reason why he wouldn't be able to drag Dionel into the ring, too. "Must I really, son?" and "Yes, really, or do you want to risk her ending up corrupted and on the other end of your spear for real?"

Not. xD Ahahaha, while they probably have a good relationship and can easily sit together with tea and cookies after training sessions etc, Lavinia is still too impressed and careful in what she does around Rose. Playing matchmaker? I don't think she'd allow herself to. That doesn't mean she'd not be interested and observing from the sidelines, to witness any developments. And if Rose ever confided in Lavinia, she's happily try to help in word or action (although she'd always feel silly for "setting anything up").

I'm not answering all of them, but I do want to set some record straight!

Finishing LISISV

Haha... yeah I misjudged that completely lol. I got to a point where I lost complete motivation on... well, everything. I had no motivation for personal projects, CC making (one of the reasons why some of my mods in this year were so riddled with bugs), playing games... hell, even interacting with others. Now you could call that depression, but I wasn't showing those symptoms properly either. I found myself in a weird place where, on the one hand, I felt guilty of that I just couldn't do those stuff that I wanted to do, and that then causing me to feel super overwhelmed... yet telling myself constantly that "adults don't feel overwhelmed on those tiny silly things!". I was pretty mean to myself this year, honestly... But all that sad stuff aside! I have made some personal changes in December that are helping me a lot already, before getting also some mental help for other things. But I'll save you from those details. 😉 --------------- The second thing that didn't help was that I would at some point feel a HUGE disconnect with the characters I had in my head and my actual writing. I would make impulsive thoughts, without realistically navigating how it would work out in the future. I would introduce characters, without really giving it a thought on how I wanted them to come across... how to fully tackle certain cases. So! I spent a majority of that time researching a lot of the ways writers actually attempt those issues and solving those. I was hoping to make a post to help others with that soon, since It's really awesome insight at times! And... then there was the whole posing. But I resolved that with the Pose Add-on IMO already! Chapter 10 however, is actually taking a long time because I do struggle a lot with the fact that I consider it my "old" way of writing, and I REALLY want to move on to my 'new' ideas and style. So the willpower is simply not always there.

LISIV PLANS:

Alright, now that we have all that out of the way, here are some of my plans for this year and the story: Splitting certain stories into sub-stories: My current personal problem I have with the story, is that there are some really cool characters, but with the current format, I can't explore their characters as intensely as I'd like to. I also know that I love to jump back and forth from one story to another.

How that would look like is:

Morgana will have her own "Sub-story"

I am pondering of doing the same for Dustin and Zelda.

We travel 5 years into the future, where I want to do more with Mortimer and Bella. But also the Landgraabs and the Alto's.

I am also thinking of making a separate (short) storyline for Gunther and Lolita. The moment I was making the flashbacks, I really have been wanting to write more about it.

Same as 4, but maybe for some other townies! They will be short, but I think it can be fun! :)

Figuring out what to do with Interests & Hobbies

The infamous mod of being delayed... again :p.

I guess you all are probably exhausted of me hearing "no wait! I will finish it!", and then another mod gets released, and another year passes... and personally I have that same thought.

So I am putting the mod entirely on ice. There might not be a chance that I even finish it ever.

However I do want to add something here:

I will be working much more with Stories be told

I am going to be making more hobby items in return! I have been craving that "small but cool" modding projects a lot the past few years. I just like to be ambitious and unrealistic I guess, lol

However, I will be modding WAY less this year due to other factors.

Wanting to write more. Whether it's for the sims, or even personal!

I think the thing I really love about Desert Duo is the warmth between them.

The way they banter and poke and prod at each other but always with an undercurrent of fondness. Scar teases about Grian's secret soulmate, Grian huffs that his heart is for someone special, Scar whispers with Pearl about ideas to mess with their soulmates, Grian mutters about leaving the desert all season. They both stay. They both giggle together and quickly drop any faux hurt.

The way they play each other. Scar coaxes Grian into doing work for him, Grian snatches a life away from Scar, Scar practically robs Grian blind through 'fair trade', Scar stabs Grian in the back in Thirdlife, Grian stabs Scar in the back in Limited Life. It's all in good fun. They sigh and roll their eyes and smile.

The way they gravitate towards each other. Easily partnering in Thirdlife, dancing around an alliance in both Last Life and Limited Life, being paired by the universe in Double Life, trying to reach for each other only to be torn apart by the universe in Secret Life. They meld easily together, like whispered plans and a presence beside each other is the most natural thing in the world.

The way they understand each other. "You and me, we know monopolies" Scar says, and Grian smiles. "Why DON'T you come along with me?" Grian giggles, and Scar can breathe for the first time all session.

I think it’s interesting how as time goes on Zoro kind of becomes more and more like mihawk in some ways whether that’s just because if you spend time with someone for 2 years you’re bound to pick up their habits or a deliberate attempt to emulate him is a conversation for another time. And Mihawk and Zoro where already pretty similar at the start so it’s a little hard to notice now.

But yeah whether unconsciously or consciously Zoro is becoming a bit more like Mihawk and it’s interesting to think that while this means maturing in some ways (he’s swordsmanship for one but he’s also just quieter much more assured of himself) it also means deaging in some others.

Despite their significant age gap and general dispositions, when it comes down to it Zoro is just a lot more emotionally mature and developed than Mihawk is. And a big part of why is because he found something larger than himself to devote his life too, hell Mihawk himself even kind of acknowledges this when he agrees to take Zoro on as a student when Zoro begs for the sake of his captain and crew. He acknowledges that putting aside his own ego and dreams for the sake of someone else isn’t something he can do and sees it as a fault in himself and a strength in Zoro.

Mihawk may be outwardly mature and his skills defiently did not stagnant but I’d wager that Mentally Mihawk is still stuck at the same age he was when he took over the title of world’s strongest swordsman. Honestly maybe even younger. And it isn’t until training Zoro, letting Perona stay with him, for probably the first time in his life taking charge of lives outside his own did he finally unarrest his development.

If Zoro is purposely trying to emulate Hawkeyes, which it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was that’s who he’s trying to be Afterall, then it would honestly set him back emotionally because fundamentally as he is now Mihawk’s attitude doesn’t work in a crew. It’s too singular, too abrasive. And while that abrasiveness can be useful in Zoro’s role as Luffy’s first mate sometimes it makes him a little too callous a little too apathetic, like with his disregard for Luffy’s sadness over vegapunk.

But Zoro has his crew to temper that, they are honestly just too ridiculous to ever stay serious around. And try as he might to hide it Zoro is also just a silly dude who likes to be horrifically petty with his opponents. And zoro still has so much fire in him, so much he has too prove and so much he wants to protect to ever really fall into Mihawk’s apathy. Zoro has Luffy who even after they reach their dreams will probably still continue to turn the world upside down forever keeping Zoro in some kind of trouble and his life interesting.

Zoro can’t be Mihawk because even Mihawk can’t be Mihawk anymore. Being with crossguild and crossing with the Red hair pirates and the strawhats is going to change him, it has too. if Mihawk is going to live after losing his title he’s probably gonna have to become a little bit more like Zoro.

ok so now I'm thinking about clown Texas Chainsaw Massacre....

I always already saw Chop Top as a silly rodeo clown - during the very end of the radio station scene especially he puts on L.G.'s cowboy hat and scurries off, honking his bike horn. CLOWN BEHAVIOR

Bubba is the big comedy clown with like pants way too big, wearing suspenders to keep them up. to make fun of the fact he's already so damn large, and he's somehow wearing even bigger clothes. he wears a painted mask. very clumsy. and obviously quiet, so pantomiming. (basically what he does anyway)

So, Drayton is just a grumpy clown, but if I had to visualize his style, I might go for the "hobo clown" archetype? Not that i think he specifically fits that bc he's not the type to be a "tramp", but I see the suit outfit and his demeanor fitting the performance style. could maybe see the fact that he's a salesman playing a part there at least too.

Nubbins is the jokester. He's intentionally playing pranks on Drayton or getting Bubba into trouble, and he has a good laugh. Chop Top also falls into this role, but he's more cowboy than his brother.

The family members easily work off of each other - they already annoy each other or are stupid. like cmon it's SO cartoonish and clowny that Drayton just fuckin kicks Bubba in the butt already in tcm 2. That is like.... peak.

so it's easy to imagine like, uh oh whoops Nubbins tricks Bubba into accidentally pie-ing Drayton in the face and now mister grumpy clown is gonna initiate some slapstick, but Chop Top's being a little shit and tattles while laughing and now the twins are both in for it.

... It's all a very less abusive way of seeing their dynamics and I think that's much nicer lol.

I guess they'd still eat people tho, like they aren't all nice. But hey.

Should I be allowed to include Sims 2 Store/preorder/exchange content in Calcinidae Bay

There are several reasons why I'm keeping Calcinidae Bay CC-free but first and foremost it's to see "how far can I get with only TS2 Maxis content?" and so there's always this nagging voice in the back of my head saying "but this is TS2 Maxis content".

Lots that I share will remain CC-free, and I'm not including Stories conversions. Only things made by EA, for TS2.

i feel like the original series was red guy centered, the first season was for yellow guy, and i am BEGGING AND PRAYING that season 2 will be more about duck!! i will probably cry if anything happens to him though lol 💀 everytime writers break a comic relief character i just OUGSHGS.. it gets me.

h well I don't think you're wrong about that! Webseries being Red Guys time to shine, S1 of the TV show being for Yellow (esp the last two episodes I think? Even thought outside of that, he does get a lot of focus/he IS the one who talks to the audience the most directly). From what I remember hearing, the pilot was pretty Duck-centered.

But I think even if he GETS his big moment in the sun, so to speak, it's NOT going to be as emotional as the other twos. On top of him just not being a very um… let's say sentimental character, he's just not the make-you-cry type! It's just not him imo!

IDK, I operate under the opinion that… in his weird little head, the most important thing that he values over everything is keeping the three of them together. Both because he thinks of them as a weird little family AND because he really doesn't have anyone else outside of the trio. We also know from the interview, and you could maybe argue from the Family episode ( Who do you love?/Anyone who loves me back., I asked every member of my family who they loved the most, and they all said me ) that being loved is something that he actually values QUITE a bit! More than you would assume on first glance! He's weirdly upfront about it haha!

In that way, I imagine that if they were to TRY to pull something to put him in the spotlight in the way you're imagining (i.e. something emotional and focusing on his issues like they did with Yellow & Red) it would either focus on his desire to be loved OR his dedication to keeping the three of them together. But I would argue they both already did that in the Family episode AND put him through the worst case-scenario in regards to those more emotional aspects of his character ( here I think the worst case scenario to him is the other two rejecting him, harshly, unambiguously and to his face, multiple times and the three of them separating ). AND THE THING IS… THAT ALREADY HAPPENED! THAT DIDN'T BREAK HIM!

He had his little pout over it in his dress and was like FINE! I DON'T NEED THEM ANYWAYS! So, I really don't think that big "character-breaking" moment is coming. If the Family ep didn't get him I honest to God don't think there's anything else the house could throw at him that could get under his skin.
