the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.

We all know how flustered Battinson would be as a first time dad, but can you imagine him when half the rogue roster AND JL members come to them after Jason gets adopted?

Naturally, they assume he’s Bruce’s biological kid. And chaoes quickly comes knocking.

I love the massachusetts subreddit. it’s so fucking brutal. everyone in there is exactly as mean as you’d think they’d be. someone from California made a post the other day about solidarity between blue states and the top comment was “fuck off” and as far as I can tell the whole post has since been deleted. and to be fair they were bullying ca bc apparently they voted to continue having slavery in prisons. big mass W. what a magical state.

Pretty wild that the fault in our stars came out twelve years ago.

Even wilder that the book is still finding new readers, over a thousand of them every week. What a strange and complex and lovely gift that book has been in my life.
