the bridal suite is a disaster zone.

gojo, for all his usual confidence, is quickly realizing that he is not equipped for this.

you’re pacing the length of the room, hands flailing, words spilling out of you at an alarming speed. your dress is pristine, your hair and makeup are perfect, and yet you look seconds away from spiraling into full-blown panic.

“what if i trip? what if i forget my vows? what if i start crying, and then i can’t stop crying, and then i can’t even get through my vows because i’m crying so much? what if i ugly cry, gojo? what if my shoe falls off—”

gojo, sitting lazily in a chair, legs crossed, chin propped up in his hand, watches you with something between amusement and mild concern.

“okay, first of all, if you trip, i’ll make it look intentional. maybe i’ll trip too. solidarity.” he grins. “second, if you forget your vows, just improvise. you never shut up anyway—”

“gojo!”

he winces at the sharp glare you shoot him, but then he sighs, pushing himself up from his chair.

“alright, alright, you’re freaking out. i get it.” he claps his hands together, as if hyping himself up. “we just need to—uh, meditate! breathe in, breathe out—”

he tries to demonstrate, taking a deep breath and motioning for you to follow. but you’re already shaking your head, completely ignoring him as you launch into another panicked spiral.

“and what if i walk down the aisle and see nanami and completely lose it? like, what if i start crying so hard i can’t even say ‘i do’? what if—”

gojo groans, pinching the bridge of his nose. he pulls his phone out of his pocket, quickly typing something, muttering under his breath.

“why am i even here? i told them i was the wrong choice for this.”

you don’t even notice when he hits send, too wrapped up in your own whirlwind of nerves. but then, just a few minutes later, there’s a knock at the door.

gojo glances at his phone, reading a new text, before pushing himself up with a satisfied sigh.

“right. that’s my cue.”

you blink, confused, as gojo makes his way to the door. he pauses, looking over his shoulder at you with a smug little grin.

“try not to explode.” he says, then slips out of the room.

and then—

the door opens again.

nanami is fixing the cuffs of his suit as he enters, but then his gaze lifts, and the moment he sees you, he just stops.

for a moment, everything is still.

you, who had been in a state of absolute panic just seconds ago, freeze the moment you see him. the nerves, the spiraling thoughts, all of it just—stops.

nanami, for his part, can’t move either. he had been prepared to talk you down, to reassure you, to do whatever he could to calm you��but seeing you now, standing there in your dress, looking at him like that—

he was expecting to see you in your dress, of course, but he hadn’t prepared himself for how stunning you would look. the way the fabric drapes around you, the way the light catches in your eyes—he doesn’t have words for it. he doesn’t think there are words.

he swallows. you look like something out of a dream.

the silence lingers for a few seconds, stretching between you.

and then, just as quickly, you move.

you’re practically running across the room, straight into his arms. his hands instinctively come up to hold you steady as you bury yourself against his chest, gripping his suit like you need something to anchor you, and just like that, everything unravels again.

“kento,” you mumble against his lapel, your voice slightly muffled, “i think i might throw up.”

his hand carefully slides up to the back of your head, fingers threading through your hair in a slow, soothing motion. “you won’t.”

“but what if i do?” you pull back just enough to look up at him, eyes wide with worry. “or what if my shoe falls off while i’m walking down the aisle? that’s a real possibility, you know. oh god, what if i ugly cry during the vows? i know i’m going to ugly cry. it’s going to be so bad. someone’s going to record it and show it to me later, and then i’ll have to live with that forever—”

he exhales, shaking his head with the smallest hint of a smile. then, with his free hand, he gently tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear, his touch slow and deliberate.

“you won’t trip,” he murmurs, voice steady. “your vows will be perfect. and even if you cry, i’ll still think you’re the most beautiful person in the world.”

you sniffle, bottom lip jutting out slightly. “you’re just saying that because you have to.”

he huffs out something that isn’t quite a laugh but isn’t quite exasperation either. “i’m saying it because it’s true.”

for the first time all morning, you stop rambling. you just look at him, searching his face for any sign of doubt. but there is none. just quiet certainty, the kind that grounds you better than anything else ever could.

he squeezes your waist, a silent reminder that he’s right here.

you exhale slowly, shoulders finally starting to relax.

“better?” he asks.

you nod. “better.”

nanami studies you for a moment, like he’s making sure, and then, satisfied, he leans down to press the softest kiss to your forehead.

“good.” he says simply.

and somehow, with his steady hands and warm voice anchoring you, everything doesn’t feel so overwhelming anymore.

Ok I’m just a yapper and wanted to talk about them I’ll not lie to myself. (All of what Im about to say is basically the explanation of my last post about them, the meme of Neo getting flushed about holding hands and Tele just chill while thinking the biggest atrocities a human can think of……..)

Ok so we all know Neo went to war and blah blah blah right? Ok

All he ever knew was to take things, conquer them and all of this using his power, his strength, his force. He’s a brute, he’s used to being the one on the top. He always gets what he wants.

Now, this reflects to everything in his life, right? If he wants sexual pleasure he would just “hey, where is one of those captives we got from troy?” Get it?

He was born to go to war, he was teach to kill, to fight, to be a soldier who’ll slay all of his enemies by the sec he saw them. He wasn’t teach how to love.

So, what he’s supposed to do once he finds himself loving someone? Absolutely lost in this new emotion where he doesn’t want to hurt him, where he wants him to want him back. But he doesn’t know how, all he knows is how to hurt people, to take what he wants even if the other person doesn’t want that too.

Now, he is going through all the teaching of how to love and care for the ones that are dear to him, he doesn’t know how to act when he’s with Telemachus, he doesn’t know know what to say, he doesn’t know anything!! So when he’s faced with simple love demonstrations that actually shows how he feels he just go CRAZY!!

Like, who would have thought that holding hands as a way to show that u like to be near the guy u’re in love is such a big demonstration for someone who never actually really wanted to be affectionate to no one before 😃?!

Neo is just a big messy guy who don’t know how to act near his crush so he covers his feelings by acting as he hates everyone and everything.

Basically? This:

Neoptolemus (on the outside): “acts tough and say something like “you should be careful with who u’re messing with, prince.”

Infos on Mute that helped me build his relationship with Braise according to his canon personality.

Clearly indicates when he doesn’t enjoy someone’s company;

I feel like Mute does not sugarcoat shit, he’ll clearly state when he doesn’t like another operator, being very truthful when it comes to explaining why he dislikes them.

That’s why I’m writing him as someone who doesn’t hide his reasons from Braise, he clearly explains to her, at some point, why he doesn’t enjoy being her teammate.

That is also why Braise will describe Mute as a “misanthrope”, meaning someone who doesn’t like other people.

Kind of a “I dislike everyone but you” relationship.

This personality trait will also show through his jealousy. Braise thinks it’s just another guy he doesn’t like, but there’s a reason to it.

He’s talkative, likes to discuss but does not enjoy small talk;

The fact that he can be brash makes me think he’s also cocky. I’m writing him as someone who’s self-assertive and confident in his abilities. (I mean, with his intelligence, ofc he’s confident)

This trait, at first, annoys Braise who thinks he could be more humble, but it’s also something that attracts her.

Mute will also prefer to engage in meaningful conversations with Braise, since he dislikes small talk, which bonds the two of them during their time together as teammates.

Basically, he won’t have a problem approaching Braise to talk and/or tease her since Mute isn’t reserved, until he realizes how strongly he feels towards her.

Despite his confidence, he’s reluctant to talk about personal matters and does not often express his feelings;

Again, I decided to stick to this information and write Mute as a man who rarely talks about his own feelings and personal issues.

He’ll have a hard time forming sentences to show his love to Braise. This being the only times he’ll have difficulty talking to her, searching for the perfect words to not mess things up.

Mute will also take a long time before warming up to her and have an easier time expressing how he feels since he enjoys his secrecy.

His respect for secrecy is also one of the reasons Mute doesn’t mind keeping his casual relationship with Braise a secret. (often teasing her about it in public though)

Mute is overall impatient;

His impatience his one of the reasons Braise and Mute won’t get along when they first met and are forced to work together.

As Harry states, Mute his very intelligent. I think that is one of the reasons why he thinks his approach is always the most efficient. He won’t always see different ones, including what Braise’s proposes during their training sessions and missions.

I also write him as being angry at himself for not finding the words to talk to the woman she loves. He’ll be impatient, wondering why it’s so difficult.

Finally, he has a lot of knowledge, and doesn’t mind teaching the others;

I really like the idea of him expanding his knowledge to other operators.

He’ll also be very interested in a lot of subjects, and learns very fast.

That’s partly why Braise and Mute would have no problem talking for hours about a subject since Mute knows a lot and Braise loves to learn more and just listen. (probably the only times they’ll get along)

Braise will also like to just admire him while he talks about something he’s so passionate about, which often leads him to talk about the beauty of his hometown, York, and everything he still remembers doing back when he was still a kid.

Omega! Logan who was born in the 1800s when secondary gender roles were very prevalent but it actually really suited him and he wanted to be a home maker and have a bunch of pups but he was always too big and hairy and and not seen as a good Omega. Alphas would sleep with him but never treat him the way they would a “proper” omega and they didn’t ever want anything serious because it’s like almost shameful to have a big hairy omega.

And then everything happens and all the sudden Logan finds himself in a universe without secondary genders, where he isn’t a too big and hairy omega, he’s just some guy.

And unintentionally he finds his way into the role he’s always craved, where he takes care of the home and the dog while Wade makes the money, and it’s the closest he’s ever been to the life he wanted. He mostly retires from fighting and heroing, but now he’s ready for a new challenge. And being near Laura has only served to dig up that old desire and instinct he tried to bury so long ago

And I mean, even if the mutant hate wasn’t as bad as it is in Logan’s old world there was still a time here not to long ago when mutants were ran out and scattered around the world. And now with the people at Xavier’s working on getting the Mutants back into the city trying to re group with their still dwindling numbers. I mean Logan and Wade should help with the mutant re population efforts, who better to do that then two very eager immortals who can heal from anything and with a whole gang of friends around them for free child care.

Hi prequel community. If I said that I think the reason why there were only two prequels compared to the three that the other parts of the series got (3 TSY books and 3 TCY books) AND the reasons why Rhian's eye colour changes miraculously from Rise to Fall from green to blue (I think he's described as having green eyes in Rise? someone might have to correlate me on that) is because in Rise he's supposed to parallel TSY Sophie (green eyes, doubtfully good, multiple boyfriends) and then in Fall he's supposed to parallel Japeth (blue eyes, fratricidal, insane, gets cool one liners) how would you react to that

A. Bad media can still hold significant meaning to people

B. Media made for a demographic you aren’t apart of is not inherently bad media

i generally like characters in fire emblem’s flirty womanizer trope decently enough but im really glad that when they took inigo over to fates they dialed back on that aspect of his character because i think it couldve been so easy to fall into that thing intsys loves to do where they hammer in a certain trope for comedy’s sake (which they did to him in awakening. which was funny! but past his pc supports it was mostly j lmao what a goofer!!) but instead of that they took the time to lay out a good foundation for his fates arc in the dlc and chose to focus more on his anxieties, his morals, and his growth in maturity to really make his progression from silly little guy to man going through an identity crisis really satisfying while still keeping his flirty persona, though toned down, there to keep him consistent. and yeah hes my fav so i have a lot of bias towards him but i do really think that hes one of fire emblem’s best written characters. hes a great example of trope subversion in fire emblem that i dont think people give him enough credit for (he does it better than sylvain btw sorry!). ik theres quite a few games with timeskips/sequels that show growth like that but with the addition of having traveled through literal time and space, no matter how wonky the concept sounds, gives him a unique perspective and opportunity for self reflection that fates does an incredibly job of letting him explore and i simply think its one of the best choices intsys has made
