I just managed to get off mha hyperfixation
And now it's happening again... Oh no
Helps with upcoming MHUI LoV event tho, it was a long time since last one happened I wonder what would happen in a new filler story part
Basically this and couple of pages of mid-final arc chapters + recent episode and next one being The Dabi episode was just too much not to get excited again
Tumblr media
But! Important thing - I need to reread the last arc before I make anything new, if possible without finishing it to the 419 chapter and everything after, it took 2 months to really recover from the damage that chapter did
Anyway am I ready for the new event? Kinda! Do I have enough gems to get new Tomura? No! I'm not sure he'll even show up this time, because other ones were and still are really stubborn
Tumblr media
Also Steampunk recruit took like 120 pulls in a step-up recruit and in the usual one combined
Not the best time to get LoV involved, it's cruel even
Also that one part of the page I added at the beginning was so interesting to look at and them I joked about 236 being similar. The only good thing with final arc being over is that I can say that Izuku didn't draw the parallel of seeing everyone hurt and seeing Tenko react on Mon's death
Tumblr media
Understandable why, but it's funny to just look at them and be like, "wow Horikoshi traumatized them both"
#bnha#mhui#morning thoughts#not art#tenko shimura#shigaraki tomura#izuku midoriya#midoriya izuku#Still trying to assure myself that it's okay to tag whatever with whatever#If I get into drawing Izuku and Tenko interacting again this post is why#I don't prefer shipping stuff aside from here and there but some of the relationships are so interesting to look at#Izuku and Tenko one is one of my favorites and when PLF arc ended with Izuku looking behind who Tomura was on the outside was...#I can't describe it because I was SURE it was never happening and then it did and almost 3 years after that we get the actual thing#And then boom it's over#I thing knowing that AFO shows up in the 418 ruined it for me I saw people trying to predict it and stuff#But I hoped it wasn't gonna happen but I didn't know what would the other option be#So I was in 'we'll see' mindset for months and I'm okay with the end result... Kinda#It hurts really badly if I turn to my actual emotions#I was just thinking one day and while reading stuff decided to punch a pillow and suddenly it's like some wall broke and it hurt#It hurts now too actually just writing this#I thought because I wasn't processing this the way most people I saw in the fandom did with all of the hating on Horikoshi and stuff#AND hating on Izuku too!#I was either broken or a strange one even to the part of the fandom I tried to join for the first time in ages#While people were clinging to anything to keep deluding themselves that Tomura is alive#Or being openly angry on Twitter#It all was on Twitter actually because I have no power to really change what it shows if I don't just “ignore” every single person there#I tried drawing through it but I slowly hit burnout with drawing absolutely nothing#I'm a bit better now and I tried different things instead so it's alright still a bit... Too much all at once since I had irl stuff too#I'm glad that I'm not known enough to be pressured about anything since I pressure myself enough already

My personal Shigaraki Tomura Headcannons that I will defend with my life
He’s actually pretty shy. He keeps to himself, he’s not going to tell you about his interests unless he trusts you with his life, he won’t even so much as share his favorite foods with you if he doesn’t know you well enough. Not because he’s afraid you’ll make fun of him for it— he just genuinely finds opening up to be embarrassing and prefers not too if he can help it.
He never lost his love for video games and he still thinks about strategies with a lot of the terms in mind. Being the leader of the league of villains and losing the original hide out made him pull the break on his hobby’s.
He likes to draw. He figured out at an early age that art doesn’t take all five fingers. It started as something silly he did when he didn’t feel like paying attention to kurogiri, and steadily over the years it’s become something he relies on to help with stress
He wears all black because he’s too lazy to figure out what looks good. He does care about his appearance, but not badly enough to go through multiple outfits.
He’s actually really self conscious of the scars on his face. He thinks they make him look weak, unkept and disgusting. If he could change anything about himself he’d get rid of them in an instant.
Due to his self conscious nature regarding his looks— he’s super on top of everything else. As a kid he was so worried about looking the way he does and smelling, that he actually had to be temporarily banned from using cologne and body spray because of how overwhelming it got for everyone around him.
He has insanely good handwriting. It’s actually really alarming to see for the first time.
His internal dictionary is also pretty well established. Shigaraki is not afraid to use big words, and he tends to use extremely well put together sentences, both verbally and otherwise.
AFO made sure shigaraki had a proper education, even going as far as to hire private tutors, which is why his vocabulary is so top of the line.
(Sometimes while speaking the league will stop him midway through and ask him to use ‘normal people’ words)
He does have manners— some might even say he has an annoying amount of manners. And he will get pissed off if people don’t follow his footsteps, especially if the situation calls for it.
That being said he has never— and will never— sit in a chair properly. His legs are all over the fucking place and that’s how he likes it.
Growing up he wore mittens to bed to stop from absolutely disintegrating his mattress because he’s a stomach sleeper.
He sleeps with his mouth open, he drools AND he snores.
Contrary to what you may think, he’s not going to be an angry spiteful boyfriend.
He takes everything to heart because he hates everything, that’s who he is and that’s what he does! But he doesn’t hate you. So he will learn to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to you.
He’s not going to be a confrontational type of guy with you, he knows it wouldn’t solve anything if he came in with guns blazing. He doesn’t want you to ever see him that angry as long as he can help it.
He’s not going to apologize if things go wrong on his end though— at least not vocally. Honestly he doesn’t even know how to apologize, so you’ll just get a gift or some tighter cuddles that night compared to usual.
He’s afraid of spiders. He thanks the universe every single day that there isn’t some weird ass mutated spider hero that he has to deal with.
His “rebellion phase” was just him trying to overcome his murderous thoughts. (It didn’t work)
This man loves loitering. It’s the stupidest crime there is and he genuinely cannot get enough of it.
It took him an embarrassingly long time to understand that not everyone had endless amounts of money. Growing up he could order or buy whatever he wanted, so he just assumed that’s how the world worked for everyone until his early teens
If he were to start developing feelings for you, he wouldn’t know what the hell was going on. “Love” and “attraction” are not emotions he’s familiar with.
He will absolutely test out his theory by building a life with you in the sims.
Shockingly enough he’s not opposed to having kids. It’s just not something he’d ever think about unless you were to bring it up.
He has a My Chemical Romance hoodie tucked into the very back of his closet.
He collects vinyl records
He doesn’t like animals but if he had to choose between a dog or a cat he’d choose a cat.
Yes— he does own a pair of pink fuzzy bunny slippers, your suspicions are correct. (They’re so comfortable but he’d never been caught dead wearing them)
As a kid he collected bottle caps, he still has one he carry’s around with him as a good luck charm
He constantly forgets to tell you where he’s going and how long he’ll be gone— and he’s never on his phone so don’t expect him to answer your texts or calls if you’re worried.
A Domesticated shigaraki is just like having an old man as a pet. He complains— is a little too good at playing chess— is always wearing some kind of pajamas and smells like aftershave
Has the largest sweet tooth you’ve ever encountered. This guy could eat an entire cake in a single sitting and not get nauseous.
He either won’t eat at all and then gets pissed because he’s hungry or he’ll eat too much and get pissed that he’s full
He keeps a small sketch book on him at all times and 80% of the pages are of you
He’ll eat anything once, including shit he finds on the floor
One of his front teeth is fake, the adult tooth literally just never grew in
He hates hero’s but sometimes in order to get ideas he reads old marvel comics
He’s a green goblin stan
He has a “shoot first ask questions later” mentality that no one can take away from him. He simply does not gaf what your reasons are
He’ll kill anyone regardless, but he goes a lot harder on people with outdated opinions

sorry, didn't see the answer until today. thank you for that but I mean proving AFO wrong that Tenko is filled with hatred and destroying and no one can accept him. we know thats a lie now but Tenko still dies?
Hey again, anon. So, I went back and tried to fit this follow-up context into your original ask—answered here for anyone who wants to look over it again.  My initial answer was based on you meaning that AFO should have been “proven wrong” in his assertions about human frailty and how, once someone has been rejected by society and become a Villain, there’s no way for them to come back.  Reconsidering your issue (that Deku killing Shigaraki doesn’t prove AFO wrong) with the knowledge that what you meant was him saying Shigaraki is only capable of hating and destroying things…
I guess in the end I don’t think the story believes AFO is wrong about that either? I mean, obviously he was, back when he first told those words to at-the-time-still-Tenko. But now? Not so much, at least in the author's eyes.
Below, if you want to subject yourself to my reasoning again, you can follow along as I talk myself through getting to that quite jaded conclusion.  My apologies if I misunderstand or misrepresent you again anywhere along the way!  Admittedly, based on my experience with the fandom and what names we choose to use in talking about the characters, I suspect we’re coming at them from radically different positions, but my position is the one I’ve got to offer you. Please know that, to whatever extent we might disagree on how much "Shigaraki Tomura" was ever a legitimate persona, we are united in our opinion that Deku should have done more for him if the story was serious about him being the Greatest Hero.
......
So, okay, the biggest issue with asserting that Shigaraki has any kind of moral core or personality independent of his AFO-instilled hatred/destructiveness is that the best arguments for it all revolve around the League and how Shigaraki wants to be their “Hero,” how that’s contiguous with his personality even from when he was “Tenko” because both fit a pattern of reaching out to the outcasts that everyone else around them ignores or mistreats.
I believed that too!  I still do, in fact!  I want to be clear that I think Shigaraki still has legitimate grievances and that his desire to make a world in which Villains will be happier is still, in its own way, noble and true!
But.
But that glorious spread where Tomura says that even if every bit of his hatred is smashed, he’ll still keep going because he has to be a Hero for the Villains that need him?  That spread comes before the montage showing AFO’s involvement in the Shimuras’ lives from before Tenko was even born.  And part of that montage is the absolutely buffoonish reveal that AFO even influenced Tenko’s sense of heroism by leaning on Tomo and Mikkun (the aforementioned outcasts) to encourage him to be a Hero.  I tend to assume that the two of them were from one of Ujiko’s orphanages—I can’t imagine how else AFO would be in a position to give two random children direct orders!—but whatever the case, it means that even Tenko’s draw towards standing up for outcasts is something influenced by All For One.
If you take that away, what else is left?  I could pick a few little traits here and there, but ultimately, what Shigaraki comes back to in the end, in that very last conversation with Deku in the shared mindspace, is destruction.  He pursued it to the end, his last expressed regret is that he couldn’t carry it out, and his final messages to ally and enemy alike revolve around the destruction he sought—telling Spinner he died fighting for it and telling Deku that it’s up to him and his whether any of what he destroyed actually stays destroyed.
To me, that suggests that the manga does believe that Shigaraki Tomura was, ultimately, an existence that could only destroy, and the fact that some of what he targeted deserved to be destroyed doesn’t negate the fact that he was still ultimately defined by the destructiveness that AFO meticulously crafted him to embody.  Even Deku seems to think that, in the end!
Like, really working through the timeline here?  Deku did want to believe that the Crying Child indicated that Shigaraki had some drive other than destructiveness at his core.  One of the (vanishingly rare) times he actually spoke to Shigaraki during their fight was his refutation of Shigaraki’s claims that he’d successfully devoured The Crying Child and thus transcended his humanity.
Running on the desperate certainty that Shigaraki was wrong/lying, Deku smashes his way into Shigaraki’s core and metaphorically uproots his hatred and psychically holds his hands, and Shigaraki still says that even so, the Villains still need him…  And if it ended there, maybe we could say that AFO was “wrong” in the sense you describe—that while the method Shigaraki uses to Be A Hero For Villains is warped by AFO’s influence, his desire to be that Hero is genuinely his own.  But then we get That Reveal, and even the parts of Tenko that seemed to predate AFO are revealed to be just another aspect of AFO’s machinations—Tenko’s heroism, his sense of injustice, even his very existence, all are indelibly stamped with AFO’s mark.
After that reveal, Deku never again pushes back against claims that Shigaraki can only destroy.  He never pushes back on AFO’s claims of authorship of Shigaraki’s life; he never tries to encourage Shigaraki by insisting that his bonds to the League are real regardless of how AFO raised him.  Heck, he never even suggests Shigaraki still has the chance to figure out who Tenko could be as long as he can break AFO's hold and reject his teaching. No, Deku just…accepts AFO's premise, apparently.
And so I come back to the same conclusion I did before: Deku is angry at All For One, but he does not disagree with All For One.
I genuinely think that, as far as the narrative is concerned, the tragedy of Shigaraki’s ending is thus:
Anyone Shimura Tenko was or could have been was overwritten by All For One’s grooming long ago.  Maybe this could have been prevented if things had gone differently—if Nana had beaten AFO, if someone like Deku had been there to intervene the day of the tragedy, if someone on the street had reached out to him before AFO—but as it stands, Shigaraki Tomura is too far gone to save.[See Note]  Deku can end the monster that was behind it all and try to honor the victims that Shigaraki’s actions brought to light by changing the world that created them for the better, but he cannot save Shimura Tenko because Shimura Tenko was lost long before he and Midoriya Izuku ever met.
(Note: One of those "Maybe If..."s the story dangles is Spinner taking some ill-defined step to help his friend, but my opinions are that disingenuous suggestion are just a long string of profanity. Suffice to say, if Shigaraki could still have been "saved" all the way up to the start of the second war, then the Heroes bear way more responsibility for failing to do so than Spinner ever could, and Deku is even more of a fuckwit for not arguing with AFO's assertions that Tomura is nothing but what AFO made of him.)
Of course we wanted more than that.  Of course we wanted Deku to do more than that!  We spent all that time watching Shigaraki grow and bond with the League—why, if the only reason for that growth and those bonds was to prepare him as a vessel for AFO?  We watched Deku resolve to try to save and/or understand Shigaraki’s heart no matter what—why, if everything in that heart was written in someone else’s hand?
The story told us that the best heroes always manage to both win and save, and that we were reading the story of how Deku becomes the best hero—why, if the story was only going to conclude that Shigaraki’s death at Deku’s hand was inevitable because the harm All For One did was impossible for either of them to overcome?
And to me, at least, that’s why Shigaraki’s death and Deku’s role in it feel so wrong: not for the in-universe reason that Deku and Shigaraki don’t disprove/disavow AFO’s claims, but for the meta reason that My Hero Academia lied to us and wasted our goddamn time.  It spent over two hundred chapters building up Shigaraki Tomura—as a villain, yes, but also as a victim, a friend, an enemy, an ally, someone who existed in the world he was rebelling against—only to then turn around and spend its remaining two hundred chapters tearing him back down to nothing and then telling us that’s all he ever was anyway.
All For One killed that crying child a long time ago, and all Deku can do is wipe away his tears and then wave him goodbye.
By punching him to death.
It’s hard to imagine a bleaker outcome for the “Tenko” that started Horikoshi’s whole career as a mangaka, but I guess that’s what happens when your chosen career brutalizes you so badly that you come to define a Hero as someone who helps people endure their suffering instead of saving them from it.
...…
...Uh.  So, this got pretty bleak itself in the end.  Sorry, anon, everyone.  I write that way to get my point across, and I’m no little bit bitter about the whole thing myself, but ultimately, I just want to remind everyone that the story is over.  I’m not going to try to turn this whole thing into a positivity post all the way at the end, but just embrace that much: your obligation to care about the things Horikoshi wrote—to the extent that that obligation ever existed—is fulfilled.  If you hate the ending, well, so do I.  But now and forever, we and everyone else can go and do what-the-hell-ever we want to do with the characters and world that Horikoshi left us.
I hope we do.  I’ll be rooting for us!

I'm out of touch with the manga, but how come Dabi's fate is so cruel and bad?
Your guess is as good as mine. My speculation is that Hori changed his endgame plans three times. At first Hori planned on killing Endeavor early during the high-end battle.
"Truthfully, Endeavor was supposed to die during the 6th season, but when I was drawing the High-End battle in Kyushu, I decided to delay that. Maybe because of that impact, there was a little delay after the High-End battle..."
At this point you can tell that Hori didn't think of how keeping Endeavor alive would effect the endgame plot, because Endeavor's arc remains stagnant since the Pro-Hero arc. He basically doesn't do anything, but is kept alive on the promise that he will eventually do something to atone. My guess is Hori simply didn't plan far ahead enough to think the point he wanted Endeavor's arc to end at.
In the original scenario me and class1akids speculated together that since Enji wasn't going to be there, Shoto using Phosphor would actually work to take down Dabi non-lethally and the confrontation would end there.
The second change is because Hori kept Endeavor alive, he needed to make it so Enji and Dabi had a final confrontation, but because he also made the choice to have Enji fight AFO instead, the battle had to be split into two parts with the finale being Enji and Dabi's confrontation.
This second change is what resulted in the horrific burning off of Dabi's skin. If not for this change then likely we would have got an ending where Shoto visits Dabi either in prison or in rehabilitation like Rei, and that's the first step to Dabi's recovery paralleling the end of the Tournament Arc.
The third time is that it's clearly foreshadowed that Toya would eventually be able to sit down at the dinner table, and Shoto would ask him his favorite food. Enji has a dream about his family eating dinner together and wants Toya to be there too, Natsuo once mentions he doesn't know Shoto's favorite food, much much later this prompts Shoto to think about Toya's food and declare he'll make him sit down and eat Udon.
What we got instead was Dabi in an iron coffin on life support, with his family just expressing their condolences and getting to say their goodbyes in the short time Dabi has left.
I have no idea why this change was made. Maybe to pander to a part of the fandom that loved Enji's redemption arc, but despised Dabi because of all of the trouble he caused his family. Either way it's very weird, because it's not just killing each character off. It's subjecting them to these ironic hells like it's the twilight zone. Toga wanted to know if the heroes would save her or they'd kill her like twice, the answer is no and they'd just put her in prison so she kills herself. Shigaraki was afraid that he was born evil and wasn't in control of his life, AFO reveals to him that apparently AFO controlled his entire life from the beginning, and then Deku kills him and he dies having destroyed nothing meaning his life was indeed meaningless. Dabi's greatest fear was that he was a born failure, his life meant nothing, his death was unmourned and his family moved on without him. Well, now Dabi is going to die in a life support machine with no skin that looks like the torture devices from hellraiser, slowly, painfully, only able to be conscious a few minutes a day and his family is just going to move on without him.
This isn't just "the villains have to die to atone for their sins" this is like Hori specifically torturing them for the audience and also insisting they brought their suffering upon themselves for not wanting to atone like Hawks, Endeavor, Lady Nagant and Gentle and therefore are disqualified from being human in the end.

would you mind writing headcanons of tomura and my oc? she’s a tall goth so i wonder what you’d think about their relationship 🫰🖤
(i’m okay with both sfw and nsfw :3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TOMURA/OC HEADCANONS!
Tumblr media
A/N: your oc is gorg omg! I remember seeing your posts when i first started getting back into my Tomura obsession and it forced me to lock in and actually cook up a coherent oc with lore 😭 I'm so honored I appeared on your radar🖤 maybe I'll man up and finally make my oc into a drawing to post here.... sorry if the nsfw section is short!
WARNINGS: nsfw under the cut, ooc, just assumptions based on her looks so sorry :( I DONT WANNA BUTCHER OR MISCHARACTERIZE HER SOS.....
I know you said her and tomura but toga loves her and tries to get her to hangout with her whenever Tomura has you around him.
they place their beds together in minecraft.
she has beat him in all the games he plays atleast once and he still sulks about it to this day.
they have been to the mall together and she came with him to the mall scene w/ deku to pick him up and to tell him to knock it off.
she's his collar lol she keeps him in place and to stay rational.
i would like to think she's in the league of villains.
they have painted/written on eachother's controllers, mouses, switches, and even on their clothes.
Tomura thinks her hair is really nice and just likes to carefully run his fingers through it, when i say careful i mean he individually holds locs of hair to put them between his fingers so he can run his hands through it.
Tomura thinks she's emo.
she's kind of assertive over him, but not infront of the league because she knows it'll piss him off.
one time she got so happy drunk with Tomura he had to hold her hair back while she throws up in the toilet. she's done that for him too. holding his fringe up while he vomits is such a couple thing.
twice likes to refer/compare her hair to his mask, he thinks it's cool.
dabi also thinks she's pretty chill, and wonders why she's with Tomura when obviously there's better options. (Not him, he's pretty innocent if u have read the bnha smash manga with the villains!)
he likes it when she ties her hair up.
he texts like a dad, a thumbs up or replies with some outrageously stupid image he found online.
Mr.Compress also thinks she's cool, spinner is somewhat jealous of Tomura though, but he understands why you're with him.
Magne and Toga LOVE her. as in, when the league becomes closer they've had girls sleep overs, twice was invited of course, he's the exception.
Tomura, Dabi and Spinner have eavesdropped in these conversations, mostly Tomura and Spinner while Dabi only does it if he's really bored and all he has to do is kick rocks.
Toga wears her clothes sometimes, actually, all the girls in the LoV have done a fashion show with twice.
Twice is her girls girl.
Tomura gets jealous when he walks into the sleepover room only to see you and toga cuddled up, while magne is unknowingly cuddling against twice.
he has taken a photo of it before though.
he's tried to put on height extenders inside his shoes whenever he's with the league, but after the shoe fell off because it was so loose he's never done it again.
NSFW AHEAD!
Remember when i said he likes her hair? he'll put on his gloves master gave him as a kid during sex just to grab a fistful of it and pull her by it.
he loves her chest, so much, he's constantly grabbing at it no matter what and if she tries to push him off he'll pout.
hickeys, hickeys hickeys hickeys. he loves leaving red to purple marks on her pale skin, he feels so good whenever he does that.
he likes to cum on her chest, or get a titjob while he plays some game on his computer.
they have fucked infront of AFO accidentally befor because Tomura assured her he was on mute and probably wasn't paying attention because he called out to his master several times and he got no reply. AFO just wanted to see what would happen if Tomura thought there wasn't eyes on him all the time.
he's sent her links to goth/emo pornos and says 'can we recreate this' (they always do)
he loves the height difference, he loves to nuzzle up against her chest.
he likes to fuck her with some clothes on because in his opinion it's way hotter. (ref to the 2nd pic and her top)
he likes it when she wears heels and lets him hump against her foot, especially with the height difference? he's cumming in his pants that's for sure.
he eats her pussy like a starved man, she has to pull him by the hair to get him to give her a break.
he likes choking her and seeing the red mark formed from his grip, it turns him on so much.

@choaticgypsyvicking asked for tokoyami and mineta, thanks!!
Alright I’ll admit I used to be a big mineta hater, I have been a fan of mha for a long time and back then he had pretty much zero redeeming qualities. But much like the other characters in this series with terrible misdeeds (endeavor bakugo) he has certainly changed for the better albeit more subtly. I still think he has a long ways to go and needs to give a formal apology for his behavior but with 1-a’s help I’m sure he’ll get there.
Mineta’s character development has been very subtle and I’m not an expert on him so if I get anything wrong feel free to correct me. Mineta is loud whiny and annoying, he does this because of his need for attention and recognition. He is willing to get into trouble just so people will notice him, even bad attention is enough for him. He is naturally fearful but his strength to overcome the fear makes him courageous. If you get to the root problem that is mineta’s horrible upbringing (being taught that women are the devil) and helping him get over his self esteem issues he can start to mature as a person, which seems to have already begun.
Just after the stain arc in the very first school briefs (which technically isn’t canon but the characterization is accurate for the time) mineta refers to dark shadow as Tokoyami’s “pet” which obviously pisses both of them off and shadow tries to attack him. But most recently during this final war arc (manga spoilers!) mineta-fucking-minoru is the one to distract afo from stealing dark shadow! MINETA is the one to finally declare just how IMPORTANT of a person Shadow is!! He knows how much tokoyami cares about them!! Mineta went from thinking that dark shadow was just some pet to understanding they are much more than that. Mineta shows other moments of remorse like when he apologized to shoji for calling him an octopus as well. In fact mineta’s whole demeanor has changed since the gunga mountain villa raid where he has become much more serious, I would imagine he was highly traumatized by Midnight’s death.
Tokoyami is someone with strong morals, I think he found mineta just as deplorable as everyone else but remained cordial towards him. He becomes a large deciding figure in mineta’s path to redemption. Once again tokoyami is known for his wisdom and becomes a shoulder for mineta to lean on. He’s willing to listen to his problems without judgement and offers reasonable advice to his issues. Minoru also learns more about tokoyami and shadow in turn by listening to them banter back and forth and slowly come to understand their dynamic. I think tokoyami is particularly skilled at being strict with rules that mineta needs to follow. He would be willing to help mineta get new hobbies so he can share his music skills and help him learn to play. I think a ukulele would be small enough for him.
Dark Shadow never really likes anyone they meet at first but mineta was the equivalent of pond scum to them. As neighbors it was shadows job to make sure he stayed out of trouble and they were very successful at their job, scaring and pranking him when the chance arose. Dark shadow enjoyed tormenting him enough that they reluctantly began to tolerate him, surprisingly mineta also tolerated this behavior probably because he liked the attention and is desperately lonely. In my opinion dark shadow and mineta are actually very similar with their desperation for love and affection causing them to make bad decisions so they find common ground here. Dark shadow probably is the first person minoru thinks of as a friend (besides kaminari) and gladly allows them to boss him around so they can hang out together. They end up reading manga together, playing games, and drawing (which mineta is superior at). They also get into trouble together stealing food and pulling pranks on others but they both get punished by tokoyami. Eventually shadow realizes their aggressive treatment towards him isn’t very justified or kind and they tone back the targeted name calling. They’re still a little shit though :)
In the end shadow and mineta are surprisingly close friends while tokoyami is a friendly with him as he is with everyone else which is still quite a lot.

Profic Party; Week One @profiction-edits
As always with cool daily prompt games I just end up doing a big batch of them at once and then collapsing fgdjhgjdf So!! Here's all my Profic Party prompts for Week One all together now sense I have a lot going on over the weekend
If you wanna see me talk about all my answers, that'll be under the cut. These were fun! Here's hoping I can keep the motivation through Week 2!!
Day 1: OTP - Easiest one of the lot my all time OTP is and forever will be Mariocest. Hooked on the brothers for life. First ship forever imprinted on me.
Day 2: Favorite Character - A man I do not gush of often but that's because his media fandom is literally two people, Hero Nightfall from the Hell's Library book series. He is Bisexual, he is Polyamourus, he is snarky, he never lies, and I adore him.
Day 3: Most Problematic Ship - First one to stump me, for a while it was between AFO/Yoichi from MHA and Wittecest from TOH. Then I realized I couldn't draw AFO to save my life, so I was going to draw all my Belos ships to make up for it... But turns out I can't draw Belos either kdfjgkdf So you get Huntlos cause I drew it first, and Bellector but Belos is a child cause that was easier to draw. Just assume Wittecest is there as well. (William Afton/Cassidy could also probably go here but I'm not hardcore about it so..)
Day 4: Rare Pair - My stipulations for this one was it can't just be a ship for one of my tiny fandoms that no one's in, it had to be a ship from a popular media no one else liked that I was insane about. Which is a very small list. I eventually decided on Maximilien/Mauga from Overwatch because I was feral for them for about half a month. The Sub Pathetic Sugar Daddy X Dom Batshit Sugar Baby really got to me. Commit all the atrocities you want bby daddy's got the police chief on speed dial <3
Day 5: Crossover Ship - I'm not a crossover ship kinda guy. It's unfortunate but it's true. My only actual Crossover ship is my own comfort polycule Selfship; The Ideal Polycule. They helped me get over my Eating Disorder and they're probably what once could consider Main F/Os. I love them so much and they love me and eachother <3
Day 6: Polyship - I have so many of these you have no idea how difficult this was for me I love Polyamoury it brings me great comfort every ship can be made better with more people- Anyway. I decided on a Big Time fave of mine; Ojimonoshin aka The ABC Polycule from My Hero Academia. Fun little Bonus challange I did was I decided to only use a Fandom per prompt so I could show a lot of my Fandoms, so the fact that I couldn't draw AFO for Most Problematic made this choice more difficult fdgkjhgjdf
Day 7: Character from media you're not interested in - My boyfriend has fallen hard into the One Piece rabbit hole so I'm getting a lot of second hand knowledge about the series, and while I have zero interest in watching it, Usopp the beautiful Transfem is really testing my resolve. I also like Law, Bepo, Kuma, and Vegapunk. And of course my Blorbo-In-Law, Sanji Vinesmoke. Pushing him down the stairs and stealing his Boygirlfriend Usopp for myself <3

I don't know if anyone has asked these so apologies if someone has but:
What got you into MHA?
I started getting into it because I liked the story of the first seasons and I really related to Shoto's family struggles (minus the abuse, my parents love me dearly and are very cool).
What made you interested in AFO, All Might, and Hawks?
AFO is a petty princess and I love him for that. All Might is just all around cool and Hawks is also very relatable to me (Again, minus the abuse)
What's your number one favorite MHA character of all time? And if you can't choose, which are your top 5?
Mine are:
1. Kudo
2. Sanzou
3. Yoichi
4. Hawks
5. Endeavor
I included my own answers because I love swapping answers with other MHA fans. Hawks actually used to be my number one but when I found out more about Kudo I became feral and had to hyperfocus on him immediently 😂
I watched MHA initially when it first started airing, liked it a bunch, but forgot about it kind of til 2018 - where i also liked it a bunch, but then fell outta love lmao. Got back into it last year because I thought Star and Stripe was hot when I saw her on a manga cover in store, and despite being told she lasted like, 20 minutes I decided to catch up and made all my friends in my discord server watch it with me 😔
With why I like All for One and Toshi, er, peak enemies to lovers dynamic, I go wild for that shit. Toshi's wounded and also crazy and all for one is just a crazy pretty princes, perfect whump material, 10/10. Despite drawing Hawks a lot, i love him, he's far from my top 5 favourites lmao
top five faves are
AfO
Toshi
Toga
Ochako
Dabi
before i fully got back into it in the last year, it used to be uh toshi - shiggy - dabi - aizawa - izuku, but how things change lmao

I cant believe you were gaslit for saying Overhaul was right I'm gonna rewatch that arc cause it's my favorite I've only seen it twice and I dont remember much but resently I've fallen in love with Overhaul and Shigaraki so I need to consume their content again BUT I DIDNT KNOW OVERHAUL DIDNT ACTUALLY REALLY START ANYTTHING THERE also about the compress thing he wasn't really trying to take Compress out I dont think, he just got too close to him and he swung at him taking his arm he like got a little YO BACK UP scared I guess? Idk, SOMEBODY SAID IN A YOUTUBE COMMENT THAT OVERHAUL WAS EVIL BUT YOU GOTTA ADMIT HE HAD A HUSTLE IN MIND WITH SELLING TO THE HEROES AND VILIANS 😭 I wonder what it would be like if the LOV did actually work with the Shie hassaikai I was reading a fic where somebody did actually make them work together and its funny
Yes. For so long… they all told me… “Oh, Chisaki started it, he was talking so much shit!!” “Well, Chisaki was talking smack so he deserved it” “Chisaki was being a jackass for no reason so it’s all his fault”
And then I read it. Now I don’t know if I’m missing something, but huh??? Idk if it was like, different in the anime vs the manga, but huh??? Now okay, to be fair, idk why but I’ve always had trouble telling when people are like… being mean/harsh, especially with their words, so idk if I’m just misreading it, but to me it seriously seemed like the LOV were the ones who started shit?? Bc first off, Compress was the one who “smack-talked” (straightforwardly criticized) the Yakuza first (which Chisaki didn’t get upset about!!) and then it was Magne who attacked him first, and then Compress followed her blindly into battle. What exactly did the League expect him to do?? Stand there and let them kill him?? Listen, both sides were being assholes. But Chisaki was not the initiator.
He’s evil but he looks cool doing it (he looked good in the anime. He looked like something carefully sculpted by the gods’ own tools and hands in the manga). He did seriously have something with the whole monopoly-on-the-market plan, which strengthens his point that he was better equipped to be leader than Shigaraki at the time. Although, I do understand that it’d be disrespectful to just say Shigaraki, the successor of AFO, shouldn’t be the next leader. lol. Chisaki still made a strong argument though.
But yaknow, as much as I might give off the impression I don’t like the LOV when I talk about this, I actually absolutely adore them. I love the LOV bro, they just were not as right here as people say they were imo. 😭 I do really wish that they and the Shie Hassaikai would’ve gotten to genuinely be a team, but we know why that couldn’t happen 😔 I love AUs where they work together though :D
Btw, I love your art. Esp how you draw Chisaki. Keep doing what you do

The sudden uptick of people who are now convinced that “Tomura never wanted to talk with Izuku/has never actually wanted to be saved or associated Izuku with the idea of being saved/was only thinking about Izuku in the first place bc he hates him and he’s actually just been fantasizing about kicking his ass this whole time(???😭)/etc” is funny, in a way— bc from what I’ve seen pretty much everyone has been disregarding how the incident pictured below is one of the most 100% damning moments we’ve gotten in the series so far:
Tumblr media
Like, just to hammer things home:
This scene is followed immediately by a scene where he doesn’t hesitate to unleash Decay (after he gets warped to the UA coffin). Hori draws further attention to Tomura’s initial resistance by having AFO tell him “not to interrupt him this time” before he tries using Decay again— and this time he is able to use it without any interference from Tomura.
TomurAFO also has enough fine control over Decay at this point that his allies would not have been in danger if he had unleashed it when the battle first began. Which leads us to our next point…..
I’ve seen people argue that Tomura was intervening to save Dabi, and I can see how the paneling might’ve lent to this particular interpretation when the chapter first dropped— but in my honest opinion, the sequence of events reads more like: AFO realizes that Tomura isn’t going to let him use decay → AFO tries to order Dabi to unleash hellfire on the heroes instead since that’s the next strongest AOE attack on their side → Dabi says “fuck you old man I do what I want” and proceeds to do exactly what AFO wanted him to do anyway while screaming about Endeavor (my son who is never gonna beat those C rank intelligence allegations… 😭)
Nothing is outright text yet, sure, but this is still something that needs to be asked: if Tomura truly doesn’t want to talk with Izuku, truly doesn’t want to be saved, and truly hates Izuku just the same as everything else— then why try so hard to resist destroying what he supposedly hates? What’s the motivation here? Why not let AFO wipe all the heroes out and then just focus on getting his body back after the dust settles?
Izuku’s presence and absence are the key elements of consideration here— and if I may be blunt, certain parts of the fandom going well out of their way to repeatedly downplay the effect Izuku’s presence has on Tomura is more than a little disingenuous at this point.
All that being said—! I really need someone to call Tomura out about this scene eventually because the subsequent meltdown both in universe and out of it is going to be so, so funny.

(Fanfic that I really like by @kitsunefyuu )(strongly recommend)
Something about this mental image of AFO dressing izuku in fancy clothes, like very dear doll, just stuck with me. And I felt like drawing a few of the more feminine outfits since every one of them has some kind of meaning to the story.
Tumblr media
The first more feminine outfit was the one izuku chose specifically when he tried to convince his father to let him go to UA.
"Dad, I want to go back to a real school and make actual friends," Izuku spoke bluntly. Trying his damn hardest to keep himself calm as he asks, and had even prepared himself with his dads favorite outfit. It was a traditional green Hanfu dress with flowers. More than aware it is for women, but it isn't as if it matters in a home where the only company he's allowed is his father.
Absolutely creepy, but in sweet way. As he doesn't care about what he supposed to be wearing and enjoys everything, but at the same time trying to persuade his father to what he wants with it.
Tumblr media
The second outfit I drew was the black dress he wore when he accidentally met his childhood friend. And it escalated quickly to the worst
Maybe Izuku was desperate for some kind of recognition. To gather a fraction of the past that his father took him away from after all these years. That he dug far back to that nickname he hated even if didn’t want to say that name as Kacchan was about to leave, “How about Deku?”
Now that seemed to trigger something and a curiously amused expression showed on Bakugou’s face. The recognition sparked in his eyes as a loud hum escaped him.
“Oh yeah! Deku must explain why you look like a weird doll,” Katsuki said with amusement.
Izuku felt a stab in his chest at the other words.
This happened right after izuku ran away from his dinner with his father. Naturally he was wearing a dress. I can't find the exact quote but I remember it being described as dress with a ribbon. Maybe it was just my imagination, but izuku wearing a dress and looks like a doll, Plus kachan recognizing him by his old nickname just felt very symbolic. Like Deku will never be more than just a doll for others.
Tumblr media
The last image, and the one I liked the most was izuku wearing his school uniform.
"Dad! Can you grab me my uniform!?"
(...)
Izuku doesn't even check what the man brought feeling pretty good right now. Though clearly, he was going to end up late so he just throws it on.
(...)
"Sorry he's just- Well he's excited I have a friend," Izuku noted only to realize Shoto was looking at him up and down. "What? Is something wrong?" Ugh, did he not put on enough makeup? Did he put the uniform on and mess up his hair? Izuku felt nervous at his friend's suddenly very critical gaze wondering if he needs to run back home to fix up-
"You look nice,"
(...)
Though when he arrived at the school Izuku felt like he was getting a LOT more looks than normal. To the point if he was honest he kind of felt almost anxious about it as while attention can be nice it felt more like they were weirded out. Wondering why that is the case, he worked hard on his appearance! Even Shoto said he looked nice, did he miss something? "Hey do I look weird?" Izuku questioned wondering why people were staring knowing his friend would be honest. Shoto glanced around a bit then back at him in confusion before a light bulb seemed to register. Those eyes light up as he finally decides to answer the question.
"Probably because you're wearing the girl uniform?" Shoto questioned. As if he hadn't just revealed the most horrifying thing Izuku could have done. The innocent way his best friend didn't even think to point out the uniform was for a girl.
The betrayal izuku felt. For his father it was simply a joke. For izuku it was world shattering. How he took izuku's trust and played with it.
Shoto, with his pure heart didn't question it.
I reason chose to give izuku white hair even when he supposed to still have his green is because he's under his father's manipulation. From the moment his mother died his father was everything to him and he was everything for hisashi.
And still, he plays with izuku's life like he's some kind of doll. Just because he doesn't see a problem with it. But for izuku it affects everything.

I'm not really a fan of Hawks losing his Quirk to AfO. If it serves any purpose it will probably be used to help Izuku fight AfO in the vestige realm which is a fight I was never looking forward to in the first place. Otherwise I don't think it really serves much purpose for Hawks as a character because we're at the end of the story and we just won't get a big focus on how it effects him going forward.
I mean, I see people saying that him losing his Quirk has set him free from the HPSC but he was essentially free from them after the first War. They have been non-existent in the story since than besides passing mentions. From what the reports said last chapter it seems that all the Heroes fighting are doing so of their own pure desire to help, not because the HPSC is paying them or anything. Keigo isn't working for them and given the world ending stakes if he wanted to do anything but beat AfO it'd be a negative trait, not him finding his freedom.
I know people want Keigo to find himself outside of being a Hero and his Quirk but that doesn't really seem to be a theme in the story. If Hori wanted to tell that story he could have done so with Mirio or All Might but he didn't. Instead Mirio was given his Quirk back with little fan fair and All Might's inspiration and Hero heart was reinforced. The story is about people being Heroes not about themselves as just people.
Which is honestly how I see things going with Hawks. His Quirk will be a force for good that helps Izuku beat AfO from the inside proving that despite his saying his Quirk was dirty, he really did/does have the heart of a Hero.
Also, I do think it takes real Hawks out of the story most likely, which is a bit disappointing, though understandable. I never really understood where people got the idea he was going to have a full mental break down anyway and besides him flipping out because he can't help anymore I still don't really see it happening. I mean, Hori is going at light speed here, why would he take the time to focus on Hawks having a mental break when he hasn't even managed to do that for his main three villains yet, who actually need that for the story to end.
I could easily be proven wrong given that Hori's writing is unpredictable, but for the moment my guess is that Hori did this so he could take Hawks out of the fight so he wouldn't get involved with the Todoroki or Ochako/Toga stuff, while also leaving open the possibility to give Izuku a strong ally in Hawks Quirk if needed.
I know people wanted him in those fights, but Hori has a hard time juggling characters in fight scenes, something we've seen a lot in this arc and the one prior. And to be honest he doesn't serve much purpose in them either. I've seen theories of wanting him try and kill Dabi and being devastated because Enji saves his son, essentially picking Touya over him, but Hawks has been nothing but positive about Enji trying to change and help his family. He didn't try and attack Touya or even mention him when he came through the portal, so don't know why he'd suddenly decide to attack him Quirk or not.
When it comes to Toga/Ochako thing he only complicates it. Yes, he killed Twice, but as we've seen Toga's main problem isn't that Twice was killed, it's that Izuku and Ochako, kids around her age don't like her. She feels like no one cares about her because she has a bad Quirk. If getting revenge for Twice was her main objective than she wouldn't have been crying. She doesn't even think about Hawks or name dropped him to my knowledge. If anything she treats all Heroes as guilty. To add Hawks into this fight draws attention away from Ochako, Toga and her main issue of identity. Plus, again I don't see Hawks being upset if Ochako saves Toga in the way he couldn't save Twice. He liked Twice and did try to save him. At most I think we'd see him watching with a happy smile and some tears, not having a full existential crisis.

Inktober day 17
My Hero Academia AU.
I read some fics that gor me thinking on this role swap between aizawa and yagi. Been plotting since haha.
Nana did meet yagi, but didnt got to pass OFA to him, she went on to keep it until much later when she meets teen aizawa and pass it to him.
my first thought is to actually leave the characters as closer to canon as possible, that means aizawa still being an underground hero who hates the media attention, just OP ahaha.
Instead of yagi having the career ending blow by AFO, its nana the one that got crippled... but at that time she already passed OFA to aizawa... need to check the timeline to be sure of things though...
I was thinking of nana following a lead on AFO and that leading to her meeting aizawa as apparently AFO was at some point interested in his quirk so there is that.
I just find interesting how things will differ as aizawa and yagi tackle things very differently.
I need more info on how OFA works besides the stockpilling of power and quirks that for some reason no one but midoriya have full access to previous users? I want it to manifest different in aizawa, as he is not focused on strength an power like all might is... but more on agility and flexibility. Food for thought.
I also would like to tackle how underground heros work a bit, vigilantism and police networking too. Working with tired cops and dealing with grumpy vigilantes, scared civilians that dont trust outsiders, things like that.
I have so many thoughts on this... may try drawing yagi for this au too. Oh do i have ideas for him too!

Seeing those posts about wanting to do MHA rewrites gets me to admit that I want to do my own take as well at some point! But I came to ask about something else.
There’s another writing project that I have been wanting to do for a while now. It involves the Izuku Solo Arc, namely a rewrite of Class 1-A vs Izuku.
I HATE it. I HAAAATE it SOOOO much. A lot of it has already been covered here on previous posts on the blog, so I won’t waste time listing them all (plus I already covered some of it on a post I made long ago).
In short, I want to write it to where only some of Class 1-A go and meet with Izuku, they talk, and it ends to where Izuku doesn’t go back to UA, but instead continues to go solo, only this time, he’s getting support not only from his classmates, but UA, the other hero schools and pro heroes.
The main thing I am so hesitant on is getting Izuku’s reasoning and mindset right. Perhaps I am reading too much or misreading it all together, but it feels like the issues with Midoriya are simple and yet a lot of them about were thrown at me all at once and I have no idea what the main source of his issues are. And seeing how the narrative during that arc twist it so that he looks like he’s in the wrong and the godsend Bakugo’s in the right of course, I can’t find myself to trust the story as a reliable narrator for what Midoriya’s problems are. If that makes sense.
And seeing how you have given good ideas to others on their stories, I would like your opinion or idea on how to approach it and what the main issue of Izuku is. Because that way, I can focus more on who will be in the team that goes out to find him, and who can say what to help Midoriya. I want him to gain the closure he deserves and the knowledge and support of the people that care and treasure him. I want that feeling he had when Uraraka stood up to him at UA. I have a few other candidates depending on the awnser , but Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki are definites. And if I come across as too all over the place, please tell me and I’ll try again.
(And to anyone reading this, if you have ideas you think would help, please share! I want to do this and Midoriya JUSTICE).
It’s actually pretty funny you bring this up cause I was recently thinking about this too and how I wanted this arc to play out in my own rewrite 😂.
So first off, I 100% agree with you. The reunion was done so poorly and I absolutely hated it.
Second, let me discuss his motives for a second. Izuku leaves U.A to draw AFO away from his friends and family. AFO wants his quirk and he knows this. He knows AFO will stop at nothing to get his wish and Izuku is willing to leave everyone and everything he knows and loves behind because he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. Let’s also remember the fact Izuku’s a teenager, a teenager who is fearing for his life, but more importantly, the life of his friends. He saw Katsuki get skewered and “die”, he saw his other classmates damaged and wounded. He saw/heard that several pro heroes die, including Midnight, a teacher he most likely had class with. He doesn’t want anyone else to die again, and he knows that he’ll either have to stop AFO himself or he’ll have to disappear. He ends up doing the latter, vanishing from his old life with no support and being used as bait to attract AFO. This is a mentally scared child who, overcome with his emotions, has made a decision that is poorly thought out yet rational at the same time. He sees that AFO is after him, knows that AFO has no mercy, and decides that he’ll lead him on a wild goose chase away from everyone he cares about. However, he being the hero that he is, still is willing to go out anyone he sees needs it, something that the villains in this arc take advantage of. Also, keep in mind that the horrors don’t end for Izuku. He watches Lady Nagant get blown up, is physically and mentally exhausted (not having slept for like three days), and finds himself powerless against a villain who’s using civilians as puppets.
So why is all of this relevant? Izuku knows what AFO is willing to do, he sees the types of people he’s employed, and from everything he’s been told about AFO, the man will do far worse. Secondly, AFO is not only stockpiled numerous quirks in his (120+ year) lifetime, but can steal quirks, making him quite literally a counter to everyone who isn’t an OFA user. With one touch he can yoink someone’s quirk. Izuku knows this. Sure, 1-A’s filled with many promising individuals with amazing quirks and talent, but that’s not enough to fight against a man who’s got the strength of All Might, more intellect than Nezu, and more versatility than all of 1-A combined. Izuku also knows that his class is his age and has also been exposed to almost the same horrors he has. These are teenagers who still have a lot to learn and still have many years ahead of them. The same can be said for Izuku obviously but he’s willing to sacrifice his own life to save others, so he’s not taking these two things into consideration. He’s just thinking to himself “I don’t want my friends to continue facing these things because I’m around. The best way to protect them is to leave”.
Finally, let’s talk about Katsuki’s speech. He thinks Izuku’s looking down on him and the entire class because they can’t compete with OFA, which is is completely false… partly. Yes, Izuku says they’ll die, but remember that AFO can freely yoink any of their quirks and render them quirkless, and seeing as 1-A possess almost no weapons, protection, and aren’t like Batman and Iron Man, it’s safe to say they’ll be sitting ducks if that happens. At least Izuku’s quirk won’t get stolen, so he can definitely slug around with AFO and is best equipped to deal with him. He’s not looking down on them, he’s being realistic. Hori tries to frame this as growth for Katsuki but fails as he forgets his MC’s reasoning. Katsuki looks down on people because they’re weaker than him and considers himself the best. That’s it. Izuku isn’t looking down on anyone here, rather he’s being realistic and is trying to save his classmates from having to undergo further harm. Katsuki‘s motives are selfish. Izuku’s motives are pure, based on information he’s learned and events he has witnessed.
We then get to the battle and we see that Izuku is 100% correct. Many pro-heroes die and have their quirks stolen by AFO. His classmates suffer grievous wounds in battles which have amounted to nothing (Katsuki “dying” without even making a dent against Tomura, Kyouka losing an earphone jack against AFO in a battle that was really just AFO toying with them (and included the current Number 1 hero), and Shoto and Dabi’s fight also having gone nowhere (with Dabi even fleeing the scene to fight Endeavor). U.A’s whole plan hinged on Izuku being where Tomura was, and you know what happened? He was separated and the entire plan went to shit. Everything Izuku was afraid might happen DID happen. Now, that’s not to say that Izuku going alone would’ve produced better results. He’d most likely get tag teamed by Tomura and AFO and he and whatever pro heroes followed him would get wrecked. However it would save his classmates from having to witness the horrors of AFO once more, which was his goal to begin with.
Izuku’s plan hinged on being separate from everyone and to lure AFO away. Obviously it was a half-baked plan, but Izuku was hoping to keep the destruction away from others and perhaps even trap AFO in a situation where Izuku can call on some pro-heroes to ambush him. However, this left him without his support system. The only people he could even come close to relying on were the pros monitoring him, and to be honest, they did jack shit. They didn’t give him a place to rest, they didn’t aid in his battles, and they hardly monitored him in the first place. Without a solid support system, he couldn’t rest. What he needs is someone who’ll help convince him to allow them to carry some of his burden. However, he also needs someone who will listen to him. The huge problem I had with 1-A’s confrontation is that they only had one goal in mind and they mindlessly ignored Izuku’s concerns or reasoning. Katsuki completely undermines and belittles him once more and his classmates don’t take the time to try to understand him. Yes, it’s a large battle, but one that wouldn’t have started if they took some time to talk. Instead, they came ready to fight, even having some sort of chair they were going to handcuff him to. That’s not really the behavior I’d be receptive to if I’m exhausted and scared for my life. Now, obviously Izuku will still be hesitant at first and it’ll take him a lot of convincing to make him feel even slightly comfortable with some of his classmates tagging along, but the key thing here is that they have to listen to Izuku, understand where he’s coming from, and allow him to make the choices, including what he feels best would take down AFO, while also making sure they keep him grounded (like voicing any disagreements they may have and offer solutions, etc.). This is a tough time for Izuku and he’s hell bent on doing this on his own, and it’s up to his classmates to not only aid him, but offer him the support he needs. U.A was a disaster specially BECAUSE no one listened to him.

Thelreads, MHA 280, Replies Part 2
1) “OH SO THAT IS WHY THE CHAPTER NAME I SEE
WELP, GOODBYE THEN KIRISHIMA, LONGED SO MUCH FOR THE SWEET MANLY EMBRACE OF DEATH YOU JUST HAD TO STEAL THE CHAPTER, DIDN’T YA?
Well, I bet you’re gonna be fine after this, I’ve seen your unbreakable mode before, give that Machia dude a bich ouchie on his hand”-  The dirt being also still semi-liquid from Mudman’s Quirk also helped. Kirishima’s Quirk prevented him from breaking anything from the force of Machia’s blow, but he probably couldn’t have dug his way out of the earth that quickly without the aid of all that softening. (MHA ch 279) 2) “Oh no, oh the humanity~ who’s gonna save the day now?”- The only boy who will never break under the pressure.
3) “ kirishima was like “outta my way gay boi imma steal this chapter” then a moment later “i got crushed to death” “- Kirishima’s done letting himself be crushed by the weight of his own fears and doubts, let alone machia’s hand.
4) “And Machia is up again, and majorly pissed off. This does not bode well for the keikaku*”-  I find it somewhat disquieting that machia actually can call the League ‘comrades’. That shows an atypical level of self-thinking and reflection from him, that he does truly think of the PLF and the like as being equals in the same ideology, rather than devoting all his brainpower to revolving around AFO and Tomura alone. 5) “OOHHHHHH THERE HE GOES THE ROCKY BOI IS GOING UP!
HOLY SHIT KIRISHIMA’S CLAWS ARE HARD ENOUGH TO EVEN PIERCE MACHIA’S HIDE JESUS FUCK MAN
AND NOW MACHIA IS EVEN MORE PISSED OFF THAN BEFORE “- Due to a smaller surface area, the sharpness of kirishima’s claws are enough to barely pierce into Machia’s first layer of skin because they focus all of his grip strength into a single piercing point, allowing him to cut just deep enough to draw blood, but not any great level of damage that can’t be healed in a day or two. Thankfully, Kirishima doesn’t need to wound Machia, he just needs him to keep talking and leaving his big mouth wide open…
6) “GOD FUCKING DAMMIT TOGA ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME HOW DARE YOU I’M SO MAD RIGHT NOW I’M GOING TO REMOVE YOU FROM MY FAVORITE CHARACTER’S LIST, YOU’RE GOING DOWN AT LEAST THREE SPOTS AFTER THAT ONE YOUNG LADY”-The league are not going to give the heroes a single Inch. If they can make a move to stop them, they will. On the other hands, if the heroes have more moves to make than they can use to stop them…. 7) “HOLY SHIT HE MANAGED TO SAVE MINA’S VIAL HELL FUCKING YEAH”- Mina thought she failed, but in actuality, despite her slip-up due to an understandable trauma, she was in the right place at the right time to allow Kirishima to succeed in the goal regardless. 8) “AND THERE WE FUCKING GO
YEET: ACHIEVED “- This fight comes down to both sides, equally determined, giving each other everything they’ve got to win, and the victor is the one that endures to the end…no matter the cost along the way… 9) “HOLY FUCK MOMO DID YOU FUCKING MADE THOSE HOWITZERS IN THE MEANTIME? MY GOD GIRL”- Who needs an army base to supply you with tanks and helicopters when we’ve got Momo on the field? That said, she is definitely gonna needs some calories in her, stat, after making that much heavy-duty ordinance. 10) “OH DAMN IT IS ACTUALLY THE CAVALRY COMING TO SAVE THE DAY
OR TRY TO, I SHOULD SAY, BECAUSE MACHIA IS NOW REALLY FUCKING PISSED
OH GOD DO HIS JAW GO UP AND PROTECTS HIS SKULL OR SOMETHING? THAT’S FUCKING HORRIFYING”-  Just a note, but Majestic is actually one of the heroes that Momo interned under during the hero internships, which is why she calls out to him specifically and he mentions having high hopes for her. Other side-note, Horikoshi is almost certainly going to be moving onto drawing a horror manga once MHA is wrapped up. 11) “But boy, I have a strange feeling that Endeavor just managed to get Shigaraki madder, and he’s about to snap with a breaking speech that will make Stain’s one seem like a baby talking”- Machia might be the one based on the Hulk, but Tomura seems to have his “mad = more power” ability in a twisted self-sustaining cycle. He gets mad and attacks the heroes for what he suffered, they beat him down to protect themselves and others, he views this as more unfair abuse being heaped on him and everybody ganging up on him and starts fighting back more viciously, rinse and repeat until he’s standing atop a mountain of dust and exulting in his victory despite missing half his body from the struggle. 12) “Kirishima’s backstory showed how he was always hesitant to jump in, and how seeing Mina move before she could think was one of the factors that allowed him to break out of that shell. Now, in the present day, we have Mina hesitating due to fear, and kirishima jumping in front of her, before he could even think about what he was doing that was a neat parallel, I love how both their stories and moments connected like that, it is so cute.”-  Another parallel was that Mina had the time to steel herself before jumping in, not being suddenly put on the spot like she was here, and Kirishima had all that time running through the flames to self-prepare himself for leaping in when she couldn’t finish it herself. But despite that, Mina did have the opportunity to throw the vial in herself, it was just the unfortunate coincidence of it being Machia who traumatised her before that tripped her up, something nobody could have predicted, so if she can see past his fumble here, she should be able to recognise her own heroic deed for what it was.
