hi hi!! can i request hsr men (aventurine, dr ratio, and any of ur choice <3) with a s/o who is an over-apologizer? no need if u dont feel comfortable just in case but thank u in advance 💙
I'm so sorry!!

Aventurine leaned back in his chair, a devilish grin dancing on his lips as he watched you flounder before him, your hands wringing in an anxious motion. He couldn’t help but find your constant apologies both endearing and, at times, amusing.
"Are you... apologizing again?" he asked, the corner of his mouth twitching with a playful smile. You, blushing, nodded repeatedly, as though your incessant apologies would somehow make up for the minor mishap you'd caused.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you late. I’m so sorry I knocked over the coffee earlier—again. I can’t believe I did that. I promise, I’ll be more careful next time," you rambled, looking anywhere but directly at Aventurine, who was still smirking, seemingly entertained by your flustered state.
Aventurine leaned forward, his eyes glinting with amusement. "My dear, you do realize I don’t mind a bit of chaos, especially when it’s you causing it. You’re an over-apologizer, yes, but that’s part of what makes you... you. And I must admit, I enjoy seeing this side of you. It’s rather charming."
You blinked, taken aback by his words. You’d expected a scolding, not praise. Aventurine continued, his tone softening, though the smile never left his face.
"You don’t have to apologize for every little thing. I’m not the kind to hold grudges. If anything, you should only apologize when you truly mean it. Until then, just be yourself. I’ve already invested too much in you to let something like a spilled cup of coffee bother me."
You blushed at his reassurance, the knot in your stomach loosening. Aventurine’s words were always laced with layers of truth and care, though veiled in his typical flair. Still, you appreciated it deeply.
"Thank you..." you muttered shyly.
Aventurine chuckled, the sound rich and warm. "No need to thank me. But you might want to apologize... just once more. For making me wait so long." He winked teasingly, and your heart fluttered as you hurried to sit beside him.

Ratio had never been the most patient person. His brilliance was often paired with a sharp tongue, and he had little tolerance for those who didn’t meet his intellectual standards. But when it came to you, something about you made him pause and reconsider his usual cold demeanor.
You had once again apologized for something trivial—this time for knocking over a stack of books on his desk.
"I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to—I’ll clean it up right away, I promise!" you said, frantically picking up the fallen books with an anxious look in your eyes.
Ratio watched you in silence, his fingers lightly tapping the edge of his desk. His eyes softened slightly as he took in your flustered state. You were always so quick to apologize, to the point where it almost seemed like you didn’t believe he would forgive you for anything.
"Enough," he said firmly, but not unkindly. "There’s no need for this incessant apologizing. It’s a simple mistake, nothing that requires endless regret. You can’t control every little detail, after all. The world is full of chaos, and you can’t simply apologize for every piece of it."
He walked toward you, his arms folded across his chest. He wasn’t angry—he never was, not with you. But your over-apologizing did frustrate him in a way he couldn’t quite explain.
He tilted your chin up gently with his finger, a gesture that was both comforting and commanding. "I care for you," he said, his tone softer than before. "I’ve seen you apologize for things you don’t need to. When you truly make a mistake, you’ll know it. And when that happens, we’ll deal with it. But for now, stop apologizing for things that aren’t worth it. It’s exhausting, and frankly, it doesn’t suit you."
You nodded, your eyes searching his face for any sign of mockery, but finding none. He was serious, and somehow, it made you feel better.
"Thank you." you murmured.
Ratio gave you a small smile, a rare sight for him. "You’re welcome. Now, let’s get back to those books. I have a new theory to test, and I need your help."
You smiled back, finally feeling like you had permission to just exist without constantly worrying about your mistakes.

Dan Heng's eyes narrowed slightly as he felt you accidentally step onto his tail. He stilled for a moment, trying to suppress his reflex to flinch, and before he could even process the situation, you were already profusely apologizing.
"I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to step on your tail! Are you okay? Please don’t be mad, I—" you babbled, your face flushed with embarrassment as you fretted over the minor accident.
Dan Heng blinked, his tail twitching as he quickly recovered from the initial shock. His expression remained calm, but there was a faint furrow in his brow, and he could see the distress in your eyes. He wasn't the type to get upset over small things, but the way you were carrying on made him feel an odd mix of sympathy and a desire to reassure you.
"You don’t need to apologize," he said softly, his voice steady, but there was a hint of warmth in it that only you seemed to notice. "It was an accident. My tail’s fine."
Your eyes widened as you processed his words, still unsure whether to be more apologetic or relieved. But Dan Heng’s calmness eased the tension in the room, and you realized he wasn’t angry.
"It’s okay," he added, his tone a little softer. "You didn’t mean to, and it doesn’t hurt. Just... be careful next time." He gave you a small, almost imperceptible smile, one that made his usual stoic demeanor seem a little less distant.
You, still embarrassed, nodded slowly, the knot in your stomach loosening just a little. "Thank you, Dan Heng. I’ll be more careful."
Dan Heng placed a hand gently on your shoulder, his touch reassuring yet firm. "You don’t need to apologize for every little thing. Life’s full of accidents. Just... don’t overthink it."
For once, you could finally relax, knowing that with Dan Heng, you didn’t have to worry about constantly apologizing for things that weren’t even your fault.

Sampo, Jing Yuan, Ratio and Gepard got body swap with female reader
"𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒹𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃 𝓂𝓎 𝒷𝑜𝒹𝓎?!"
💫𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒸𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓈: Sampo, Jing Yuan, Ratio & Gepard x Female reader
💫𝒮𝓎𝓃𝑜𝓅𝓈𝒾𝓈: Body Swap?!
💫𝒲𝒶𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈: Fluff, & Spelling Mistakes
💫Part two: 2#—"𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒹𝑜𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃 𝓂𝓎 𝒷𝑜𝒹𝓎?!" (with Dan Heng, Boothill, Aventurine & Jiaoqiu)
💫𝒩𝑜𝓉𝑒𝓈: Sorry Im not posting too much, I've got so much work 😔
💫𝒮𝒶𝓂𝓅𝑜 𝒦𝑜𝓈𝓀𝒾 "𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝒾𝓁𝓋𝑒𝓇-𝒯𝑜𝓃𝑔𝓊𝑒𝒹 𝒮𝒶𝓁𝑒𝓈𝓂𝒶𝓃"
This had to be some kind of nightmare, you shouldn’t have trusted Sampo at all, especially fighting a monster no less. Each breath you took felt like burning to your lungs while sharp pain hit your stomach.
Sampo, like the bastard he is, swoops in at the last second to take your glory, just to call it “teamwork.” Yet what both didn’t expect was the monster to explode and be sprayed like a fountain of gunk on both of your bodies, disgusting. Only to flicker your eyelids open to find a white-liquid-covered self staring back? Wait what’s happening?!
Sampo doesn’t seem as freaked out as you do, honestly, he might just be enjoying this a tad bit too much, staring at anything that reflects your body, or saying things in your voice that you would never say!
Yet, you’ll have to clean the gunk on your bodies soon. But that’s where the problem lies, it’s all Sampos fault.
It's funny, how you both stand in the bathroom, having a staring contest because you refuse to let him get in there, who knows what kinds of creepy things he’ll think about having all that “free access” To your body gives you the shivers. Your towel is wrapped around your chest even in Sampo’s body while he’s wrapped in a towel, note that it’s very loosely around your body as if it will fall off from a small gust of wind.
“You distrust me with your body that much? I thought we were close…”
No way this is going to work on you, not when your dignity is on the line.
“Not in the slightest do I trust you.”
“That’s just cruel, there’s gunk in my hair and there’s no way I’m spending my entire night smelling as if I’m from the streets.”
He was right, it’s not like you can avoid showering or he can either. The shower has been going in the background the whole time—it would be a waste of the already high water bill.
So the compromise is showering together, but you're pressed very close to each other, your chest against his—after all, he doesn’t want you to see his family jewels either…it feels weird holding yourself… so close, especially when it’s Sampo doing far too much while in your body.
“You call me a pervert but here you are…” you would never say that, never say in a tone like that, you would never make that expression…his hand goes to wrap itself around the back of your head, leaning down to only get the view of your face.
“Don’t…”
He was far too close, so close that you knew what he was thinking in that brain of his. Even when you tried to pull away he only pressed your foreheads together. “It’s just a secret deal between us,” He whispers in your voice, it feels weird looking at your face while in Sampo's body.
“Close your eyes.”
His lips still envelope your own, he made you experience from the outside in your body yet you, on the other hand, make him laugh with those shy, cheeks dusted with pink on your face.
“See, it doesn't feel so bad.”
The hand of your body lands on your chest while Sampo speaks through your voice in a sing-songy tone, which only gives shivers down your spine. “Don’t look down,”
💫𝒥𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒴𝓊𝒶𝓃 "𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒳𝒾𝒶𝓃𝓏𝒽𝑜𝓊 𝒞𝓁𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝒦𝓃𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝓈"
“Jing yuan! Could stop lazing around! I think I might die if this continues!”
You couldn’t last another day like this. Playing general while he lazed around in yours, is the worse! Honestly, you might just get charged with impersonation of The General of the Loufu. It’s bad that even Yanqing noticed the change and has been looking at you funny.
You're still determining how it happened. Like a blur in your memory, but you want out! Like right this instant! But again, Jing Yuan is having a relaxed time in your body, as if he’d already retired from being General. Laying in your shared bed, while wearing loose sleeping attire he would usually wear in his body.
It was too big for your body, falling down your shoulder, and buttons on the bottom of the shirt opened up showing your stomach. Yet all of this went over his head, does it matter what he’s wearing not as if he’s ever left the house looking like that, so no need to worry about your dignity. Just lay beside him and tell him your worries.
“Yanqing is always looking at me funny, I might be charged with impersonation soon! What will I do then!” you complain staring at the ceiling with vain on popping from your forehead. An expression that he would never wear but it’s funny watching you freak while he lays on the side, listening to complaints about your day as him.
“You worry too much, nothing will happen,” he chuckles, “It must have been lonely without me right? I was feeling so alone in this house without you,” he mutters, pushing his body up with a soft grunt escaping from his lips. His face right against your own, funny, how you’ve switched places, him pleading for your attention. Things don't change.
Always thinking about affection even if your bodies switched, what difference does the feeling make? You still have that blush while he grins down at you, before stealing your lips for a taste, a little mishap won’t stop him from loving you.
💫𝒱𝑒𝓇𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓈 𝑅𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜 "𝑀𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐼𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒾𝑔𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈𝒾𝒶 𝒢𝓊𝒾𝓁𝒹"
“Looks like I’ve overpowered you this time, veritas.”
You seem to be having far too much fun with his body, far too much, looks like for the first time in your life you’ve actually “overpowered” him, in his body (not much of an achievement in life if you ask him). That smug expression you always make doesn’t suit the curvatures of his face in slightly. He would never act like that.
A scoff leaves his lips, crossing his arm, staring up at you with an intense gaze (that doesn’t suit you either) while you have him caged against the wall. He must commend you since you finally recreated a scene out of a romance novel under your current circumstances, you’ve probably been waiting to strike.
Yet even now, it seems like he’s overpowered you, giving you no satisfaction to your delusions. A scoff leaves his lips, well, your body's lips? Clicking his tongue while he’s at it. “You disappoint me with cheap tricks.” He mutters in your voice, staring at you like that, it’s bad that you can’t help but falter even though it’s coming to your body.
“Can’t you play along for once?!” You groan, feeling the awkwardness of his self-awareness. Completely letting go of your act just to complain about his unwillingness. You truly are enjoying your time, so why doesn’t he as well? Even someone like you has advantages when it comes to your body.
After all, it isn’t all about strength, just a couple of cheap tricks (but it’s fine since it’s your body, so not too out of character). Watching you just roughly scratch the top of his head, ruffling the hair of his body. He just does the same thing you had done to him.
Pressing you against the wall, while his hand is beside your shoulder. Honestly, to anyone else, they would laugh hard at the sight of THE Dr. Ratio getting pinned against the wall as if it were a scene out of a romance novel.
“Veritas—“
“You talk too much, with such ignorance in your tone of voice.”
“Veritas! You put the shivers down my spine, seriously how did you do that in my body!?” You shriek like some kind of fan girl at a concert, just makes him frown at how you’re acting.
“Enough of this, are you even listening?”
💫𝒢𝑒𝓅𝒶𝓇𝒹 𝐿𝒶𝓃𝒹𝒶𝓊 "𝒞𝒶𝓅𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝒾𝓁𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓃𝑒 𝒢𝓊𝒶𝓇𝒹𝓈"
“I'm so sorry, I can’t!”
He can’t do this to you. Not when he’s in your body and you can’t do the same to him either. Both of you are a complete mess from the frozen dirt and snow, which is why you're like this right now, clothes wet (even after wearing so many layers), bodies cold (just asking to get sick), and both of you flustered because a body switch.
Just looking at each other with red blush on your cheeks; your clothes soaked to the brim with cold water dripping down. You both have to take a shower, or you both are waiting to get sick. He feels it’s wrong to undress himself in your body, he can’t do that to a lady! He’s some kind of creep!
“You can’t just stay like that, or else you’ll get sick,” you mutter with the same embarrassing mindset he’s carrying, your hands going to the shirt buttons of your body, he instantly snatched his head to the side, feeling the welt cloth shirt slowly whisks off his body leaving him shiver in the cold. He can’t force himself to look to the front. Not when your body has the top left on.
“Can you help me take off my shirt?” you breathed, feeling your ears and face get unbearable hot even when you were drenched in cold water. He kept his head high, not looking down for even a second when the hands of your body gently unbuttoned his shirt while your eyes shifted while gazing into his eyes, which made things worse for the both of you.
You could hear his breath hitch at a moment like this, the eye contact looked much, even in his body your eyes still told him what you were feeling, right now it was a bad thing, he felt his heart skip a beat.
“I won’t look anywhere but your eyes,” he reassures you once more.
if you liked this, consider tipping me on ko-fi! it'd mean a lot!

Sunday mused to himself as he gently ran his fingers through your hair, then bending down to you, his lips gently brushed against your ear, “it’s time to wake up, dove.”
His soothing voice washed over you, your whole body felt all warm and cozy, it was like being enveloped into a comfortable embrace on a winter morning.
Opening your eyes, you found yourself staring up at what you believed was an angel. And judging by the wings sprouting from his head, you knew you weren’t too far off the mark.
“You’re so beautiful,” you whispered those words as you continued to look up at him. Your confession made him smile at you, his hand still running through your hair.
“Thank you, dove, but don’t you have any questions for me?”
You shook your head, “I know I’m dead… what is there to ask?”
“A second chance, perhaps?”
You froze at that before lifting yourself from his lap and turning to him while sitting on your knees, your eyes a bit hopeful, “like going back in time and starting over?!”
Sunday chuckled to himself for a moment before shaking his head, “I can’t send you back. Time isn’t what I am able to control. However, I am able to erase what all has happened to you. In other words, I can make it to where your death hasn’t even happened.”
You thought over his words for a moment, “so you can’t send me back, but you can erase it? To how far back can you go?”
“As far back as I want,” he said as he lifted his hand to caress your cheek, “I could even erase your very existence.”
He watched your face contort into one of fear being patting your cheek softly before letting his hand fall from your face, “but don’t worry, I would never do that to you.”
You steadied your breathing before asking your next question, “so… since I am seeing you now… does that mean you plan on erasing something?”
“You could say that,” Sunday mused, “I want to erase your death and all the way up to that little amnesia plan of yours.”
“Only that far?!”
He smiled at you, “I am an impatient man, I don’t want to erase too far back and wait to see what unfolds.”
“… Why are you doing this for me?”
“Because I want to see if you can win.”
“Win?”
“The emperor has no laws for himself, no weaknesses. You could change that.”
You could only shrug, “kind of hard to do that when I can’t fool him. Not to mention he has a few favorite maids he likes to entertain.”
Sunday reached for you and patted your head, “but remember dove, it was Blade’s protectiveness that gave you away. Manage to not let Blade or Dan Heng find out about you, then your life would be easier.”
“That reminds me, who was the man who had helped Jing Yuan anyway?”
“That was Moze. An assassin. Be careful around him too. Honestly though, I am surprised he wasn’t your first obstacle…”
You shook your head with a smile before standing up, Sunday joining you, “so I guess this means you will send me back now?”
“Of course,” he said while getting closer to you, his lips gently pressing to your forehead which immediately caused a glowing light to surround you.
“Wait- I never got your name,” you said as you started to disappear.
Sunday merely smiled, “I am sure I am mentioned in a few books here and there, find my name there, and if we meet again, tell me what you think my name is.”
That was the last thing he said, then that warmth was gone, and you found yourself waking up in a cold sweat. Your breathing was hard, erratic. Looking around for a moment, you hastily got out of bed and went to your desk. On it sat a calendar.
“So,” you muttered to yourself, “I really am back to the day I decided to try and get amnesia…, and how did he explain it? He couldn’t control time, so he didn’t send me back. No, instead he said it was more like he was erasing the events that had happened… but what sort of being could possibly do that? No god in any religion I have heard of have ever been able to do that… Maybe I should go to the library today and see if I can figure out anything that way.”
Nodding to yourself, you went to your closet to fish out some decent clothes to wear (a dress that was easy to move around in since you didn’t plan to enact any more plans for the time being). And just as you made it to the door and opened it, you paused.
“Oh… hello, Blade.”
A part of you still couldn’t believe that that mysterious man erased the events that had happened, so there was only one thing to test out that theory. And that was talking to Blade, of course. Ever since you came here Blade has been like your shadow. Not once has he ever spoken to you or tried to speak. And you didn’t bother to talk to him either as a sort of defiance of not talking to anyone. But it was all too clear to you now that even if you don’t talk to anyone, the Emperor wouldn’t care.
Blade looked down at you, his gaze hardening as he glared at you, but he offered no greeting in return.
Well fine, be an ass, you thought begrudgingly as you turned on your heel and headed in the direction of the library. Blade already following you, hot on your heel as a shadow would be.
The library wasn’t hard to find, but it was a pain to get there due to how far it was from your room. But whatever, you were here now.
“Now, if I was a deity that can erase events… what book would I be in?”
You said those words quietly enough so Blade wouldn’t hear. Glancing behind you, you noticed how he stayed near the door, completely uninterested in what you were doing. Perfect.
So, you got to work.
You passed by multiple genres of books but eventually settled on a few pertaining to religion, history, a few fictional since they had titles and descriptions correlating with your situation, and even a few books that described creatures that looked a lot like the man you met.
Rolling a small cart, you brought it over to a couch and plopped down.
“Now, let’s see what I can find!”
Six hours later and you thought you were going to pass away. The fictional books were entertaining and served as good breaks, but they didn’t help you in the slightest of mentioning who could erase events that had happened!
It felt like you were about to rip your hair out! Sighing heavily and closing the current book you had in your lap; you went to get up and return the books all to their rightful place. You originally thought of leaving them out and letting someone else put them back, but you didn’t want a surprise visit from the emperor who would start asking about your sudden interest in historical and religious themes.
Once done putting them back, you settled for grabbing a single book to read. It was a fairy tale where a princess is saved by a prince. Sitting back down on the couch, you lay back and grinned at the title. Despite being a princess… you doubted any prince would dare to come save you.
Though, as soon as you opened the book and started reading once again, your eyes started to grow heavy and before too long, you fell asleep. Your breathing evened out and the book was held tightly against your chest as you curled up on your side. A small smile on your face.
Though, not too long after you fell asleep, the Emperor was walking by the room, “Blade? It’s uncommon to see you guarding the library,” Jing Yuan mused at the guard.
Blade huffed and jutted his head towards the open door, “the princess decided to read today.”
Jing Yuan hummed to the information and walked in, his eyes scanned the room for a moment before landing on your sleeping figure.
“Seems to me like she is sleeping more than she is reading.”
Blade came to stand next to the Emperor, arms crossed over his chest, “she was in here all the day.”
“That so?”
Blade nodded wordlessly as Jing Yuan walked over to your sleeping figure. His body knelt next to you, looking over you, he then noticed the book that was in your arms. Plucking the book from your grasp, he looked over the title.
“Foolish girl,” Jing Yuan mused as noticed how the book entailed a princess being saved by a prince.
“She wouldn’t be foolish if you just treated like an actual fiancé.”
“Its not everyday that I hear you defending my rewards from conquest.”
Blade shrugged, “I am only stating the obvious. Furthermore… I am bored of following her around.”
Jing Yuan let out a laugh as he stood back up, “then introduce her to other things that the castle has to offer. I’m sure even you can handle that task since you are so bored.”
Blade bowed slightly as Jing Yuan decided to take his leave.
“Of course, Emperor.”
And when he was gone, Blade looked back to you, his glare still present on his face.

That time I got reincarnated as an Aeon
(Series)
Chapter eight: In which the Express celebrates the Day of the Dead with you

Dan Heng’s room was nothing short of simple and surprisingly comfortable.
You’ve been digging around the archives again after your short trip to your favorite desert planet, ready to contribute to the logs that made up Dan Heng’s archive.
He’d allowed you to touch the monitors and type in what you wanted, surprising even Himeko as he was usually rather cautious to let other people(usually March, bless her heart) roam around and touch his things unless they only wanted to read up on things.
You thanked him for that, of course. It was rather sweet of him to allow you to do this.
And so you typed away— made little personal notes on what the culture was like, and people that you also knew as yourself and not Delia. While Dan Heng’s records of Sigonia IV already existed, you were compelled to make your own as well, as a thank you to the people that had been so far hospitable to you.
You haven’t seen little Kakavasha in your visit, so you too wondered how he is now. He’s probably an adult— not so little anymore, growing into the familiar visage of “Aventurine” that you knew in your past life, but you hope it’s not the same horribly tortured man you know.
There was still discrimination, even a bit more than a decade since the freedom of this clan— they still warred with the Katicans here and there, but the disputes were more manageable, less genocidal as the Avgin were more protected by humanitarian groups.
But there wasn’t really any real interest for the cultures of people that had been long discriminated even with your intervention, and if no one was going to do the job of helping them at least preserve a certain view of it, you’d do the job yourself.
Sigonia IV would not be the only place that would stay in the archives for the other future Nameless to find, maybe one day you’d ask for Boothill’s planet, because while it no longer existed, you believed it wasn’t fair for it to die along with him.
You’ve made notes of it, here and there from what little you could get from some books that made mention of it and Boothill’s ramblings. While you could always consult Fuli for the rest of the things, it felt disrespectful towards your friend. You may be an Aeon now, but you knew honor— prying without your friend’s permission felt invasive, you weren’t a human anymore, but you know that kind of stunt wouldn’t be something he would appreciate.
Suddenly, you wondered about the planets you’ve accidentally destroyed, about the lives you had taken without meaning to, and the ones you drove mad beyond your control. Your typing still continued, undeterred by your silent grief as information flowed into the data bank without even a slight inaccuracy despite the difference in how you felt.
You should grieve for the ones who were lost, you thought to yourself. Glancing at the date present in your monitor, you found it was the best time too.
The Day of the Dead.
You’re not even sure if people even celebrated that holiday in this world. Maybe Halloween, but you doubt Dia de los Muertos, as the Latinos would call it, or Araw ng mga patay, as the Filipinos would say, is something widely celebrated in an expanded universe such as this.
Maybe you’d find a world that does celebrate it someday, but for now, maybe you’re going to be alone in giving acknowledgment and silent grief to the ones that had been lost.
You weren’t very close to a religion in your previous life as a human, but now that you thought of the holidays that gave people solace and something to celebrate, you began to feel a little strange that there was no god you could pray to as you were now technically one yourself.
Worshippers weren’t so bad now when you think of it as people laying their problems to a willing ear they can’t see or hear to give them the peace of mind they desired.
You finished up the logs, determined to plant the Avgin’s language inside of it next on the next time you’d touch the monitor. But for now, you had a goal in mind.
——————————————
Some researchers knew you as a grieving Aeon, with your cries reaching the far ends of the cosmos for reasons they sometimes don’t understand.
They observed you once again, mindful to keep their distance from hundreds of light years away as the telescope that found your distant visage caught on the fact that you were crying yet again. But this time, you’re quiet. There was no horrible song of lament that fried wires and caused damage, this one was silent, this one was red.
The liquid that flowed from what seemed to be your eyes was crimson, your lips pressed together as your expression looked forlorn. The telescope saw your hands move, then suddenly, nothing.
You did not want it to see you.
——————————
Setting up an altar was relatively easy, decorated with flowers you’d grabbed from a world away in the expanse of a mountain and a lot of candles you’ve carefully lit.
Lives lost in the fight of freedom, and the lives you took without meaning to. There were too many to count, and you doubt Pompom would like to have the train set on fire.
There were no pictures, no relics, there was simply you, the flowers, the altar, the candles.
Welt had passed by your room and seemingly recognized the decor, quietly joining your side as you started to kneel in front of the altar and mumbled something along the lines of a familiar prayer that he vaguely recognized.
Sometimes Welt forgot you were a human in your previous life. You’ve told him before, when you disclosed things about yourself to him and Himeko.
There was no god that you knew to pray to here, and to make it stranger, you were one yourself. Maybe you were trying to emulate it— old habits maybe, old bits and pieces of your human personality, and reliving specific memories. Or maybe you’re just trying to commemorate those you’ve lost in the way you knew a distant life away.
Welt joined you in your prayer. There is no god to direct his thoughts to, but there’s a strange sense of peace there regardless.
Welt stood up after a few moments while you stayed, lingering before eventually leaving the room.
“Why does it smell like candles burning?” March asked as she encountered him in the hallway.
“It’s for a celebration.” He said. “A day to remember and honor the dead.”
She looked a little confused. “Day to honor the dead?”
“Yes, you can join [Name] in their room if you’d like. It’s not a bad thing, although I can understand why you’d be confused— it’s not widely celebrated after all.” Welt smiled as March slowly nodded.
————————
You weren’t in the room for much longer, opting to head to the kitchen so you could make something to eat. You were there for at least two hours, and everyone seemed to leave you alone to your devices as you made some dishes you remembered from a past life.
Some comfort food, and fluffy bread.
You brought it to the dinner table with a smile as Pompom trailed after you to arrange the bowls and plates for everyone.
Once you were done, you made do of calling everyone in to eat. They don’t really ask why there’s a different feast of savory and sweet food on the table that was clearly not Pompom’s cooking.
Welt looked at you in a certain way that you know that he knew things, and you sent him an appreciative nod as you gestured for everyone to sit down and eat.
“These are some.. recipes that I know from my homeworld.” You began. “These typically aren’t stuff you would get when you’re celebrating the holiday in a very traditional way, but sadly my knowledge of cooking is… kinda limited.” You scratched your temple awkwardly.
“You don’t have to apologize for it.” Himeko said. “It’s the intent that counts.” She smiled, then placed some bread on her plate and stew in her bowl.
“You’re right.” You gave her a small smile of your own.
You failed to spot Dan Heng at the corner of your eye, looking at the bowl of stew in contemplation as Welt’s words sprang up memories of old friends lost in a life he didn’t want to remember.
Maybe he’d allow himself to grieve losses just this once, even if that person who’s lost those people in a distant life away wasn’t him anymore. Maybe for those that Blade had taken from him too in this life.
“Are you okay?” March nudged him gently, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“Yeah, I’m alright.” He said, blinking and snapping out of his thoughts before sinking his spoon into the stew.
Dan Heng found comfort in its flavor.
—————————————
March had taken photos of your room with the altar after dinner, plastering it into her wall with the label “Day of the Dead” in earth colored frames that contrasted the aesthetics of her room. She didn’t mind as much, surprising even herself as she was rather picky about her own decorations.
However, this was something that you shared with them, and that mattered to her. She couldn’t remember her past, and so to have a small piece of someone she knew that saved her was a nice feeling because she didn’t really quite know you. She doubt she ever would actually know you in the way the older crew members do, but that’s okay, that meant she could know you through the new memories she’d create.
She thought of you for a moment and what you’d lost, and she also wondered about the past self she can’t remember. Did she have people that she lost too? Were there people that lost her? Were there people that missed her?
She remembered her conversation with you, a strangely solemn topic for a girl so bubbly like her.
“What do you usually do?” She asked, clearly referring to the little holiday.
“People usually prayed, then offered food and flowers to their dead and all that.” You replied. “I thought it’d be a little nice to honor the people lost along the way. It’s a thing in my old world to not forget the dead.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.” She found herself saying. “I shouldn’t have pushed.”
“You don’t have to worry, it’s not offensive at all.” You smiled and patted the spot next to you. “It’s a pretty big celebration in my world, and in some countries it’d be a lot livelier than this.” You said as she went to sit next to you.
“They’d wear costumes and make up and bring out live music and everything. The food’s a lot better too I think— there’s too many for me to remember, so the ones I made weren’t the traditional ones people ate during that day.” You explained as she listened attentively.
“That’s okay, it was delicious anyways.” She giggled, shifting slightly to adjust herself before settling in comfortably in a few moments of silence.
“Do you…. Miss your old world? Ah— you don’t have to answer that.” March sputtered, realizing her mistake.
“It’s okay. And yeah… maybe just a bit. I’m not sure how to feel about it to be honest.” You said, glancing at the windows of your room.
She couldn’t see what kind of expression you were making, and so she found herself hugging you. There was something inherently sad about you despite your antics, like you’ve lost too many things.
You returned that embrace.

Pictures of a Shining Star
Pairings: Various Honkai Star Rail Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: Nanook's sudden disappearance has left you feeling sad. To cheer you up, and without your knowledge, Mr. Yang, Dan Heng, Caelus, March, and Himeko decided to get you a phone! March appoints herself as your unofficial official photographer and decides to take pictures of the littlest things for you and sends them your (and the men's) way.
Note: This took me a while to post because I was distracted by HSR. I made a new HSR account and was finishing up the quest in Belobog. So, yeah, that's why it took me a while to continue, finish, and post this fic 💀 This fic is longer than the first two fics I posted in the HSR series, so I hope you all enjoy this fic After posting this fic on Tumblr and AO3, I'm heading to bed. I'll make and post the mini-fic for the Isekai Genshin series when I wake up because I've been lacking sleep. I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: Kind of starts off depressing in the beginning
Word Count: 9.7k
You expect to see Nanook when you wake up in the abyss, but unfortunately, you do not see the tall figure that once towered over you when you woke up in the void. The same tall figure you first met in the state of unconsciousness when you first arrived at the Xianzhou Luofu not long ago. This was the fifth time you didn’t see Nanook in your dreams, and the last time you talked to Nanook felt like ages ago.
Now, here you are, sitting at the table in the Astral Express, shoving a spoon full of cereal into your mouth before munching it glumly. From a distance, March, Himeko, Dan Heng, Mr. Yang, and Caelus look at you worriedly. If the others had to be honest, you look like shit. You have bags under your eyes, your hair is unkempt— you did wake up from your sleep not long ago and didn’t bother to change out of your pajamas or brush your hair before leaving your room— and you look very upset.
Himeko clears her throat. “Does anyone want to speak to [Y/N]? They look upset. Did something happen?” asks Himeko, looking at the four people beside her.
March sighs, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest. “Ever since [Y/N] regained their memories, they’ve been a little bit off. I’m not sure if it’s the lack of communication with the Aeon or if it was because they’re not in their universe,” March replies before letting out another sad sigh.
Dan Heng opens his mouth to comment, but a porcelain bowl scraping and squeaking across the table cuts him off. You push the bowl to the side, laying your head on the table and closing your eyes. You weren’t sure why the lack of Nanook was hurting you. Perhaps it’s because Nanook was the first…. Person (being?)…. You met in this universe.
That, and because Nanook told you that the both of you will meet face-to-face soon, only to disappear without a trace. Gosh, you want to be mad at Nanook, but you can’t get yourself to be upset. Plus, you have another can of worms to deal with, and that is learning how to survive in another universe without accidentally getting yourself killed.
Footsteps approach your table, and the chair in front of you slides out from underneath the table. You open your eyes and turn to see Mr. Yang sitting across from you. You blink at the older man before sitting up, running your fingers through your unkempt hair. Mr. Yang leans in his seat and clears his throat, sliding the chair closer to the table.
“Do you want to talk about it?” asks Mr. Yang, pushing his glasses up to the bridge of his nose.
You shake your head, resting your chin on the table. “Not really. I’m afraid that if I talk about it, I’ll start crying,” you mumble, letting yourself stare off into space.
You and Mr. Yang sat in silence. Dan Heng, March, and Caelus slowly make their way toward the table where you and Mr. Yang are sitting. March sits beside you, while Dan Heng and Caelus sit beside Mr. Yang.
March rests her chin on the table before pressing her cheek on the cool tabletop. “How are you feeling, [Y/N]? You woke up late today,” says March, poking your cheek lightly with her manicured nails.
You hum, closing your eyes. “I couldn’t sleep last night. Too many things were occupying my mind, and it kept me up most of the night,” you reply.
March gives you a sympathetic smile. “Oh, cheer up, [Y/N]! We got something that’ll cheer you up!” says March, looking at the three men sitting before you and her. The three men stare at March blankly, making the girl laugh nervously. “I saaaaid, ‘We got something that’ll cheer you up!’”
Again, the three men continue to give March a blank stare. You look between March and the three men sitting before you, confused about what’s supposed to happen. March lets out an exasperated groan, throwing her head back out of frustration. In the distance, Himeko is giggling in the corner with Pom-Pom beside her, shaking his head with an unreadable expression on his face.
“Were we supposed to do something?” Dan Heng asks, raising an eyebrow at March.
March nods rapidly. “Yes! When I said that we have something that’ll cheer [Y/N] up, that was supposed to be your cue!” March exclaims, throwing her hands in the air before rubbing her throbbing temples with a frustrated sigh.
Caelus laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his head. “In case you haven’t noticed, we weren’t informed of this so-called cue of yours,” Caelus interjects, puckering his lips while staring at the fuming pink-haired girl in front of him.
You reach for your bowl of cereal to slurp the milk, but March unintentionally smacks it out of your hand, sending the bowl in the air before it shatters into a huge mess. You, Mr. Yang, Dan Heng, March, and Caelus stare at the mess on the glossy tile floor. Pom-Pom waddles to your table, glaring at the pink-haired girl.
“You made a mess!” exclaims Pom-Pom, crossing his arms over his chest with a small growl. “Do you know I work tirelessly to make sure the Astral Express is in tip-top shape!?”
March laughs nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. “Sorry, Pom-Pom! I-I didn’t mean to smack the bowl from [Y/N]’s hands!” March apologizes.
You get up from your seat, grab a napkin from the table and begin cleaning up the mess. Pom-Pom grumbles under his breath before waddling off. While you’re cleaning up the mess, March is giving the three men an earful while making sure you didn’t hear the conversation. While you’re wiping up the mess, someone walks up to you, stopping in front of the shattered bowl. You look up to see Caelus, who kneels in front of you and holds a box out to you. You stare at the box before grabbing it from Caelus’ hand.
“What’s this? You guys didn’t need to get me anything,” you murmur, unwrapping the box while Caelus watches you with eagle eyes.
Caelus clears his throat. “We got it for you because it’s the best way to communicate with each other while we’re far away. In case you’re on the Astral Express and we’re at Belobog or the Xianzhou Luofu, you can reach out to any of us,” replies Caelus.
Your heart sinks into your chest. “Oh, no. You guys got me a phone?” You ask, looking at Caelus and the other three with disbelief.
It’s not like you were opposed to getting a phone, but you didn’t think they would buy you a phone themselves. Especially since they bought it without your knowledge. You hand the box back to Caelus before picking up the broken pieces of the bowl, placing them on the napkin, and tossing them away into the trash. You grab a broom and begin sweeping the tiny pieces into the dustpan.
Dan Heng looks at you quizzically. “Did you not want us to get you a phone? If we didn’t get you one, how would we be able to contact you while we’re far away or end up getting separated?” Dan Heng asks.
“Plus, when we go Trailblazing together, you can make new memories with us! I volunteer to be your photographer!” March says proudly, raising her hands in the air with a big smile.
You stroke your chin, staring at the ground. “New memories, huh?” You murmur. “I’m not opposed to making new memories with you guys.”
March perks up and cheers loudly before bouncing over to you and throwing her arms around your shoulders with glee. You snort and wrap your arm around her, making sure not to drop the broom on the ground. After cleaning the mess on the floor, March dragged you to the nearest chair and had you set your phone up while Dan Heng, Caelus, and Mr. Yang hung around in case you needed any assistance with setting up your phone.
“Oooh! You know what we should do after [Y/N] officially sets their phone up?” March asks, clapping her hands with excitement.
Mr. Yang stares at March, raising his eyebrows at the pink-haired girl. “And what is that?” asks Mr. Yang.
“We should take pictures! Lots and lots of ‘em!” exclaims March. “And as [Y/N]’s unofficial official photographer, I will be the one to take all of the pictures!”
Once your phone is officially set up, March begins passing your phone around so other people can start saving their phone numbers into your phone before adding your number to their phone. Once your phone returns to you, you put your phone in your pocket, but March stops you.
She holds her hand out in front of you. “Ah, ah, ah! Don’t put your phone away just yet, [Y/N]! We still need to take pictures! I am not letting you walk around without a background for your home and lock screen!” says March, propping her other hand on her hips.
You stare at the girl in front of you. “We can do that after I’m done getting ready? I don’t want to look like a mess in the pictures,” you say.
“Pfft! It’s okay! It’s not like the photos are leaving your phone anyway!” March says.
You shake your head. “Still, I want to look decent,” you mumble.
Realization hits March a few seconds later, and her eyes light up. A smile stretches across her face, giving you a knowing look. You stare at March, heat rushing to your cheeks. You’re hoping no one aside from March notices your change of demeanor. Plus, if March is going to be your unofficial official photographer, you might as well try to look your best in the photos, right? Especially when other people will end up in the pictures soon.
March pretends to let out an exasperated sigh, slumping forward. “Alright, alright! As a professional and your unofficial official photographer, I cannot have you look terrible in your pictures. You may go get ready and freshen up for the pictures…. As long as you give me your phone before getting ready!” says March, holding her hand out.
You shrug your shoulders and hand your phone over to March without questioning her. You walk to your room to get ready for the day after multiple delays before breakfast. After getting ready for the day, you return to where the others are waiting for you, only to see March take a selfie with Dan Heng, Caelus, Mr. Yang, and Himeko. March looks up from your phone, and she beams at you with excitement.
“You’re back! And don’t you look cute! Trying to impress a certain someone?” March teases, poking you when you stand beside her.
You huff and look away from March, snatching your phone from her hands. “How many pictures did you take on my phone while I was away?” You ask, scrolling through your gallery.
March giggles, swaying to the side while watching you search for your gallery. The way you’re scrolling through your phone and searching for the gallery reminds her of Mr. Yang. She wonders if you know how to change profile pictures, unlike Mr. Yang. Poor guy couldn't figure it out and tried to message Caelus about it, only for Caelus to be no help at all. After two minutes of searching for the gallery, you finally found it. Once you clicked the gallery app, your eyes nearly popped out of your head.
“Two hundred?! How are there almost two hundred pictures in the gallery already, March?!” You screeched, turning to look at March incredulously.
March holds her hands up defensively. “Hey, hey, hey! Taking pictures wasn’t the only thing I did, alright? I also added you to our group chat!” March says, clicking through your phone and showing you the group chat she added you to.
The Astral Express Family. That’s cute.
March claps her hands. “Okay! Now that [Y/N] is finished with cutesy-ing up for a special someone, let's take pictures now!” March announces.
“Oh? Who’re you ‘cutesy-ing’ up for, [Y/N]?” asks Mr. Yang, approaching you with Dan Heng and Caelus at his side.
Your eyes widen, and you squeak, “Uh! Me? Cutesy-ing up for someone? I’m not cutesy-ing up for anyone, Mr. Yang! I just want to look decent in the pictures in case someone,” you look at March with a glare, “sends the pictures around!”
Mr. Yang raises his eyebrows at your response, a faint smirk appearing on his face as he gazes at you with amusement. You feel your face heat up as you press your lips into a thin line before nudging March’s side. March snickers and guides you to the front of the three men before standing beside you. Himeko stands beside March, and the six of you take a group selfie. The following picture was of you, March, Dan Heng, and Caelus. Then the next was of you, Dan Heng, Caelus, and Mr. Yang.
This went on for a while, and the next thing you know, as you had expected, March has you send the pictures to the Astral Express Family group chat for everyone to save on their phones. You didn’t think March was going to have you send the images to the group chat, but boy, you’re glad you decided to, and you quote from March, cutesy up for the photos. You sure as hell did not want any of them to have an awful picture of you on their phones. You’re okay with sending the photos to each person individually if they wish to have the images. Still, March suggested sending it through the group chat to save some time.
While in the midst of sending the last ten photos to the group chat, March skips up to you and loops her arms around yours, diverting your attention from your phone.
“So! Are you ready to go to Belobog? Gepard and Sampo kept pestering Caelus about wanting to see you,” says March, wiggling her eyebrows at you with a teasing smile. “Right, Caelus?” March asks, leaning to the side to look at the silver-haired male.
Caelus approaches you and March with Mr. Yang and Dan Heng at his side. “I wouldn’t say that. Both Gepard and Sampo talked about wanting to hang out with us again before we go to the Xianzhou Luofu. I think it’d be nice to hang out with the two of them before we visit the Xianzhou Luofu,” says Caelus.
You blink at Caelus, March, Mr. Yang, and Dan Heng. “Wait, we’re stopping by the Xianzhou Luofu today after we stop by Belobog?” You ask, cocking your head to the side.
Mr. Yang looks at the time before sighing. “That is if we have time. Who knows how long we will be at Belobog,” replies Mr. Yang.
Everyone walks to the Parlor Car and begins taking their seats after Pom-Pom announces the Astral Express is taking off soon. You sit on the couch beside March and close your eyes, resting your head on the back cushions, bracing yourself for take off. You still weren’t used to the feeling of the Astral Express traversing through space, and it sometimes made you feel nauseous and dizzy.
You poke March’s arm to grab her attention. March looks up from her phone and scoots close when you gesture for her to come closer. “I’m going to take a nap. Can you wake me up when we arrive at Jarilo-VI or Belobog?”
March nods before looking back at her phone. You close your eyes and relax against the cushions. Your eyelids grow heavy as you slowly drift to sleep. When you open your eyes, you’re back in the abyss. The stars glimmer around you, and the void is silent. It’s so quiet that if you were to listen closely, you would’ve been able to hear your heart beating against your chest.
“You’re here,” says a familiar voice.
You turn your head and see Nanook towering over you. Nanook gazes at you with glowing gold eyes as you take a step closer. You weren’t sure if Nanook was okay with you getting any closer, but since you didn’t see any negative reaction, you stopped in front of Nanook’s towering form.
You give Nanook a smile. “I should be the one to say that. After all, you’re the one that completely disappeared after that incident,” you say, sitting on the ground. “Where did you go? Were you upset with me by any chance?” You ask, hugging your knees to your chest.
Nanook hums, refusing to look away from you. “That, I cannot answer. But what I can tell you is that we will be face-to-face in person very soon. I apologize if I made you worried. That was never my intention,” says Nanook, smiling at you.
You pucker your lips before turning around, having your back face Nanook’s direction. Nanook blinks at you quizzically, staring at your back while you stare into the void. Nanook’s lips twitch, trying to fight back a smile that’s forming. Even though Nanook has known you for a short amount of time, Nanook can tell that you’re sulking.
Nanook pokes you. “Are you upset with me? You’re not upset with me, are you?” asks Nanook, poking your back for the second time.
You huff in response, letting yourself fall over on your side, still hugging your knees to your chest. Nanook lets out an amused laugh before gently sliding his hands underneath your body and lifting you. Nanook stares at you while you continue to have your back facing his direction. Nanook sighs and caresses your hair while you continue to sulk in silence.
Nanook looks down at you, his face a few feet from your body. “If I made you upset and worried, I apologize. Will you forgive me?” Nanook murmurs.
Nanook hears a faint sigh coming from you. You roll over to face the towering silver-white-haired figure before you, staring at him while lying in the palm of his hands. You and Nanook stare at each other without saying a word. You weren’t mad at Nanook.
But you were worried to the point where you’d try to take as many naps as you could just so you could see the Aeon, making sure you could still communicate with each other. Each time you don’t see Nanook, you can’t help but feel discouraged. And since there wasn’t a way for you to communicate with Nanook outside of your dreams, and Nanook is the one that can make it happen, you feel helpless.
After all, Nanook is the first being you talked to, and Nanook did bring you into this universe. You and many people around you have no idea how the Aeon was able to take you away from your world and plop you into their universe without warning. You grab Nanook’s finger and hug them to your chest.
“I’m not mad at you. You did, however, make me worry about you. I thought I did something to upset you, causing you to ignore me for weeks!” You say, frowning at the Aeon before you.
Nanook blinks at you. “Little one, I wasn’t ignoring you for weeks,” replies Nanook, a smile gracing those gorgeous features.
“Well, to me, it felt like weeks! I….” you trailed off with a sharp intake of breath. “I was hoping to see you after you disappeared all of a sudden, but I couldn’t reach out to you. There wasn’t another way for me to talk to you.”
Nanook strokes your cheek, frowning. “I really do apologize for disappearing out of the blue. It wasn’t my intention to make you feel this way. Can you forgive me, little one?” asks Nanook, brushing your hair from your face.
You wanted to play hard to get, but you can’t. Not when Nanook is giving you what looks like puppy dog eyes. You sit up and nod slowly. A wide smile appears on Nanook’s face. You press your lips into a thin line when you see Nanook’s smile. Nanook puts you on the ground suddenly, disappearing before your sight.
You blink, getting up from the ground, and begin searching around the void for the Aeon. Oh gosh, why did Nanook disappear out of nowhere like last time? Last time Nanook looked upset, but before Nanook put you on the ground, he was smiling. While you are occupied with searching for Nanook, you feel a tap on your shoulders. You turn to see Nanook standing behind you, no longer the once towering figure above you.
Before you can scold him for disappearing so suddenly, Nanook grabs you by your wrist, pulls you to his chest, and wraps his arms around you, resting his chin on your head. You close your eyes and relax in Nanook’s arms, wrapping your arms around his waist. Despite the open wounds on Nanook’s body and gold blood flowing from the wounds like water, you let Nanook hug you tightly against his chest.
“It feels nice to have you in my arms,” you hear Nanook whisper, feeling Nanook press a kiss on your forehead.
You close your eyes, relaxing in Nanook’s arms. It really does feel nice to be in Nanook’s arms. Being in Nanook’s arms is so comfortable compared to sleeping on your bed. The world around you slowly becomes dark, and before you know it, you wake up to someone shaking you awake. You groan and try to swat the hand away, hoping it’ll make the person stop shaking you.
You hear an obnoxious laugh. “Oh, wow, Gumdrop! You really are a heavy sleeper like what March said,” the person laughs.
Sampo.
“Come on, Gumdrop! I know you can hear me! If you had those foxian ears, it would’ve been twitching right now because you love the sound of my voice, don’tcha, Gumdrop?” Sampo asks teasingly.
You feel, you presume, Sampo brushes your hair away from your face before caressing your face with his large hands. You hear someone let out an annoyed sigh. You weren’t sure who it was exactly, but it was either Dan Heng, Gepard, or Mr. Yang.
“Your failed flirting tactic isn’t going to wake [Y/N] up from their slumber,” Dan Heng mutters.
You can hear the irritation in his voice as Sampo continues to caress your face and stroke your cheek with his thumb. You want to continue to sleep. You’re so tired, and your limbs feel like lead. You hear a faint click.
“Why are you taking a picture of them sleeping in your arms, Sampo? It’s a little creepy for you to do that,” Gepard mutters.
You hear Sampo let out a scandalous gasp. “What? It’s not creepy! [Y/N] looks so cute when they’re sleeping! How can you not want to take a picture of their cute face when they’re sleeping?” Sampo asks.
March makes a ‘meh’ sound before drawing out a sigh. “Gepard’s right on this one, Sampo. As [Y/N]’s unofficial official photographer, even I wouldn’t do something like this,” says March.
You grumble in response and slowly open your eyes. As your eyes gradually adjust to the light around you, you see Sampo grinning down at you through your blurry vision. You bring your hand up to your eyes, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. You look around to see people circling around you, watching you regain consciousness.
Gepard gives you a tiny smile. “You’re awake. You were sleeping for a while,” comments Gepard, sweeping your hair away from your face when the wind blows it onto your face.
You adjust yourself to sit up in Sampo’s arms, stretching your arms while Sampo wraps his arms around your waist, snuggling up against you. While you’re trying to force yourself to be awake, the others around you are glaring daggers at Sampo. Mr. Yang subtly smacks Sampo’s arms from your waist while glaring at the merchant.
Gepard holds his hands out for you to take. You smile at Gepard and grab ahold of his hand before standing up. Sampo pouts and crosses his arms over his chest when you get off of his lap. Still feeling exhausted and disoriented from your nap, you rub your eyes with your knuckles really hard.
Gepard grabs your hand to stop you from rubbing your eyes any longer. You stare at Gepard sleepily before looking around. You’re in Belobog now, and somehow you didn’t wake up to the sound of bustling crowds or to the feeling of someone picking you up and carrying you out of the Astral Express. You turn to look at March, Dan Heng, Caelus, and Mr. Yang.
“How did I end up here? I thought you guys were going to wake me up before we got off the Astral Express,” you say, running your hands through your hair.
The crisp air of Belobog sends chills down your spine, making you visibly shiver while rubbing your arms. The brisk air nipping at your skin, causing goosebumps to prick on your arms. Noticing your slight discomfort with the temperature of Belobog, Mr. Yang takes his coat off before draping it over your shoulders. You’re immediately engulfed in warmth, making you sigh with contentment.
You smiled at the brown-haired man and mouthed a ‘thank you’ to the stoic man. Mr. Yang nods, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. At that moment, you hear a faint click of a camera but ignore it. You feel the cold nip at your nose and cheeks, making you press your cold hand against your face. Everyone around you seems unbothered by the chilly air of Belobog while you are shivering in your shoes and Mr. Yang’s coat.
Gepard crosses his arms over his chest and gestures to Sampo. “When the Astral Express landed on Belobog, Sampo entered the Express to greet all of you. You were sleeping on the couch in the Astral Express, and March 7th was trying to wake you up. Of course, you didn’t wake up, and Sampo volunteered to carry you,” replies Gepard.
You turn to look at March, who waddles up to you before linking her arms around yours. You yawn and nod, not questioning why they didn’t leave you on the Astral Express if you weren’t waking up. March nudges you lightly to get your attention. You look at March, blinking at the pink-haired girl owlishly.
March leans to whisper into your ears. “While you were asleep, I put Sampo and Gepard’s number into your phone while they added you to their contacts list. Was that okay?” asks March.
You nod. “Yeah, that’s fine with me! As long as you didn’t take any unflattering pictures of me while I was napping,” you reply.
March stares at you with wide eyes before looking away sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck with a nervous laugh. You narrow your eyes at March’s strange behavior. You unloop your arms from March’s arm, crossing your arms over your chest while staring her down.
March puffs her cheeks and points at the others around you two. “I’m not the only one that took unflattering pictures of you, you know! They did it too! In fact, Sampo was the first person to do it!” March exclaims, sticking her nose in the air with a loud huff.
You sigh and run your hands through your hair. There are too many people to scold, and you’re too hungry to scold anyone individually. Your phone chimes, and you look at your phone to see a new text message from Sampo. It was a picture of you knocked out in his arms while he was smiling widely at the camera. You groan internally, covering your face with your hand. You can feel the blood rushing to your cheeks, and you can’t tell if it is from the cold or if it’s from embarrassment.
Sampo struts over to you and throws his arms over your shoulders, pulling you to his side. “I think you look adorable when you’re asleep, Gumdrop! I hope you don’t mind that I made it my home screen background,” says Sampo, patting your head.
Well, at least in this world, you’re someone’s phone background. You smile at Sampo and shake your head. “I don’t mind it as long as it’s not an embarrassing picture of me,” you reply.
“Are we going to do something, or are we going to stand around all day and do nothing in Belobog?” asks Dan Heng, raising his eyebrows at Sampo and Gepard.
Gepard clears his throat, nodding. “Ah, yes, right. Please, follow me as I show you around the Administrative District,” says Gepard, gesturing to you all to follow him while casting a glance in your and Sampo’s direction.
The tour around the Administrative District would have been even better if it wasn’t for the cold. While there are heaters around the area, it’s not enough for you to warm up, and not even Mr. Yang’s coat can keep you warm from the bitter cold. It could be worse. At least it’s not in some mountain surrounded by five feet of snow.
The flower shop, from a distance, grabs your attention. It looks inviting and very warm. Oh, you bet the flower shop is nice and warm on the inside compared to the outside. Without looking away from the flower shop, you grab the nearest person’s arm and tug on their shirt sleeve, pointing at the flower shop.
“Can we go into the flower shop?” You ask, continuing to tug on the sleeves.
The person hums. “Do you want to look at the flowers?” asks Caelus, gazing down at you and then at the flower shop.
You blink at Caelus and slowly nod. “Yeah! I also want to go in there because it’s really cold, and my hands are freezing,” you reply, pressing your cold hands against Caelus’ warm cheeks.
Caelus flinches and grabs your hands while you’re trying to get warm by pressing yourself against his side. Caelus chuckles and wraps his arms around you, rubbing your hands with his to create heat for your freezing hands. You shiver, pouting while sniffling dramatically. Caelus stifles his laugh, shaking his head.
While you were pouting and huddling close to Caelus, letting him rub your hands together to create heat, March pulled her phone out and snapped a picture of the two of you. Caelus walks over to the men with you waddling beside him, your hands remaining in his grasp.
“Hey, so [Y/N] wants to go into the flower shop to warm up. Is that okay?” asks Caelus, continuing to rub his hands with yours.
Mr. Yang nods. “That’s fine with us. Is my coat not keeping them warm enough?” asks Mr. Yang as he crosses his arms over his chest.
You stare at Mr. Yang with your mouth agape. The man isn’t wearing the coat he gave you, and yet he’s not freezing or shivering like you. Heck, you don’t even see a single goosebump on this man’s arm! Then again, he’s wearing a long sleeve shirt, so you technically can’t tell if he’s cold or not.
You press yourself against Caelus’ side. “Are you not cold, Mr. Yang?” You ask.
Mr. Yang shakes his head. “No, I’m not cold. Maybe you’re not used to the weather here,” Mr. Yang answers.
After getting confirmation that you can go into the flower shop, you pull your hands out from Caelus’ grasp before jogging to the flower shop without hesitation. Caelus sighs, tucking his hands in his pockets before following after you. March skips up to Caelus happily, showing him her phone. Caelus pauses in his steps and presses his lips into a thin line.
“Can you send that to me?” Caelus asks shyly.
March grins at Caelus, wiggling her eyebrows at the silver-haired man before nodding. “Sure! Would you like for me to send it in the group chat or just to you?”
Before Caelus can reply, Sampo, Mr. Yang, Dan Heng, and Gepard walk up to them. Caelus clears his throat, signaling to March that they’ll continue the conversation another time. March sighs and rolls her eyes, walking up the steps of the small flower shop. When everyone walks into the Eversummer Florist, the first thing they see is you taking pictures of the flowers while Vaska is explaining to you what each flower symbolizes.
“So! Has anyone ever bought you flowers, dear customer?” asks Vaska, gazing at you curiously.
You blush and tuck your hair behind your ear. How do you explain to Vaska that no one has ever bought you flowers, whether as a gift or in general? The sound of the bell chiming alerts you and Vaska of new customers, only for you to realize it’s your friends and not random customers.
You clear your throat. “Oh, uh, no! No one has ever bought me flowers before, Vaska. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to look around!” You say.
Vaska smiles and nods, walking away to other customers that call her over for assistance. You sigh in relief and take Mr. Yang’s coat off, handing it to the brown-haired man while looking around the flower shop.
Sampo grabs your hand and presses a kiss on your knuckles. “May I be the first person to buy you flowers? A person as beautiful as you deserves to be spoiled with the prettiest and most vibrant flowers to exist in Belobog,” says Sampo, winking at you.
Dan Heng raises his eyebrows at Sampo. “Are you sure you’ll be able to buy every flower in the flower shop for [Y/N]?”
Gepard hums, crossing his arms over his chest while looking around the flower shop. “Flowers can be expensive depending on what type of flower you want and how you want them to be arranged,” Gepard interjects.
March raises her eyebrows at the Captain of the Silvermane Guards, propping her hands on her hips while leaning on one leg. “And how do you know that, Gepard?” March questions, tapping her foot on the ground while waiting for the blond man to reply.
Gepard goes quiet and looks at March sheepishly. If you were to look closely, you could see a faint blush on Gepard’s cheek. Gepard clears his throat, looking away from the pink-haired girl before continuing to admire the flowers in the flower shop. You chuckle and nudge March while she gives you a devious smile, wiggling her eyebrows at you teasingly. You roll your eyes and walk to the other side of the flower shop, admiring the beautiful flowers while taking occasional pictures of them.
A specific flower captures your attention. You let out an audible gasp in awe, admiring the beautiful flower. You’re contemplating buying yourself a flower to put in your room back on the Astral Express. You look at the Ball Peonies in front of you, admiring their beauty and color. Gosh, it’s so pretty! How can you not buy one for yourself? You lean down, searching for the price of the flower.
After what felt like ten minutes, you finally found the price tag. You reach for the label, flip it over and let out a choked gasp, dropping the price tag and letting it dangle. You know that flowers can get expensive, but not that expensive! Noticing your shock from afar, Vaska walks up to you and gazes at the Ball Peonies.
Vaska giggles and adjusts the flower. “The Ball Peonies are very expensive, but not as expensive as the Marquis! The Marquis is our most expensive flower,” says Vaska.
You give Vaska a fake smile, rubbing the back of your neck. “The Ball Peonies are beautiful! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to buy these. Maybe in another lifetime,” you joke.
Vaska chuckles and walks away, shaking her head. You sigh for the umpteenth time and walk to another flower before pulling your phone out to scroll through your gallery. You begin sorting your pictures, putting them in different files. While you’re occupied with putting the group pictures in appropriate files, your phone chimes.
‘3 Attachments from March (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚’
You click on the notifications, waiting for the messages to load. Someone taps on your shoulders. You turn your phone off and turn around, only to see Gepard standing before you with Ball Peony in his hands, his cheeks and the tip of his ears crimson red. Your eyes widen, gazing at the blond man speechlessly.
Gepard clears his throat and looks away from you before holding the Ball Peony out toward you. “I saw you looking at the Ball Peony. I also saw how shocked and disappointed you were when you saw the price of it, and I didn’t want you to be disappointed,” says Gepard.
Heat rushes to your cheeks, making your face feel warm. “Gepard, you didn’t have to get me the Ball Peony. They’re expensive,” you whisper, gazing at the ground.
Gepard looks at you. You didn’t see the soft look Gepard had on his face while smiling at you shyly. Gepard clears his throat. “It doesn’t matter to me that they’re expensive. I wanted to see you happy, and…” Gepard trails off, “I wanted to be the first one to buy you flowers.”
Your face is aflame as you grab the flowers from Gepard’s hands, admiring the Ball Peony. You look up at Gepard, smiling widely before throwing your arms around Gepard’s shoulders, hugging him tightly. Caught off guard by your actions, Gepard stumbles back slightly while wrapping his arms around your waist with wide eyes. If Gepard’s face isn't red already, it’s probably almost as red as Himeko’s hair. March squeals softly, pulling her phone out while snapping multiple pictures of you and Gepard hugging from different angles.
Sampo huffs and looks away, flicking his bangs from his eyes. “I wanted to be the first one to buy [Y/N] flowers, but Mister Captain of the Silvermane Guards had to be the first one to do it!” Sampo grouses, his face pinching up with annoyance.
You pull away from the hug and thank Gepard shyly. Gepard smiles and brushes the stray hair away from your face. Your phone begins chiming over and over, ruining the sweet moment between you and Gepard. You give Gepard an apologetic smile before pulling your phone out from your pockets to see a ton of attachments from March.
You raise your eyebrows and look in March’s direction. March looks at you with a wide smile while holding her phone behind her back, rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet while feigning innocence.
Dan Heng clears his throat. “So, now that you’re warmed up. Do you want to continue the tour around the Administrative District, or do you want to return to the Astral Express?” asks Dan Heng, approaching you and Gepard.
You hum, tapping on your chin with one hand. “I don’t know how much longer I can handle the cold. People here are used to the weather, but I’m not. I would like to return to the Astral Express, but I feel bad for wanting to leave so soon,” you say, looking over at Gepard and Sampo.
Sampo smiles at you and props his hands on Gepard’s shoulders. Gepard’s smile falters for a split second before giving Sampo a fake smile, brushing the merchant’s arm off his shoulders. Sampo clears his throat and adjusts himself.
Sampo ruffles your hair with a big smile. “Oh, come on! Don’t be sad now, Gumdrop! I know you’re going to miss the amazing Sampo Koski, but no need to worry! I, and maybe the Captain of the Silvermane Guard, will be accompanying you on the Astral Express heading to, uh, what’s that ship called again?” Sampo looks at Dan Heng, Caelus, Mr. Yang, and March with a questioning look.
Mr. Yang sighs, closing his eyes. “We’re heading to the Xianzhou Luofu next. General Jing Yuan wanted us to stop by and visit,” Mr. Yang answers, pushing his glasses up his nose bridge.
You nod, holding the Ball Peony close to your chest. The trip from Jarilo-V to the Xianzhou Luofu is going to take a while, and that means you can take a nap! But knowing March, she will try to find a way for you not to take a nap. According to her, you take too many naps. You dread leaving the flower shop because you’re going to get cold again, and you refuse to borrow anyone’s jacket because you feel bad if they let you borrow their jacket.
After what felt like ages, you all arrive at the Astral Express. Instead of borrowing someone’s jacket like last time, Dan Heng lets you share jackets with him. Of course, March took a picture of that and sent it to you and Dan Heng separately instead of sending the photo through the group chat.
You sigh in relief, stretching your arms in the air. The first thing you’re going to do is get a vase for the Ball Peony. After that, you go to your room and take a nap. Well, sneak off to take a nap because March is going to find a way to stop you from napping.
You scurry to find a vase for your Ball Peony, leaving the others in the Parlor Car. You end up finding the prettiest iridescent vase for the Ball Peony. You fill the vase with water and stick the Ball Peony into the vase, wondering if the Ball Peony is going to survive in a train that’s traversing through space.
You walk to the Passenger Cabin, holding the vase carefully, making sure not to spill any water. You weren’t sure where you were going to put the flowers, but you were debating on putting them close to the window or on your nightstand beside your bed. You opted for the nightstand and set it down in the center before plopping down on your bed and pulling your phone out to look at the messages March sent to you throughout the day in Belobog.
You save all of the pictures to your phone, feeling your eyelids grow heavy as you slowly succumb to sleep. Your phone falls from your hands and lies beside you as you drift to sleep. You weren’t sure how long you fell asleep, but you’re rudely awoken by the sound of your phone buzzing uncontrollably and your bedroom door slamming open.
“Why did you burst into [Y/N]’s room like that? You know they were sleeping,” you hear Dan Heng scold someone.
You rub your eyes, tempted to go back to sleep.
March huffs loudly. “Oh, no, you don’t! Get up! We arrived at the Xianzhou Luofu! General Jing Yuan and the others are waiting for us at the entrance!” says March.
March walks up to your bed and yanks your blanket off your body. You groan, stretching in your bed while reaching around for your phone. You look at your phone to see three messages from three unknown numbers.
The first message reads, “Hello, [Y/N]. This is Jing Yuan! In case you’re wondering how I got your number, March informed me, Luocha, and Blade that you have a new phone. She gave us your number. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!”
The second message is from, you’re assuming, Luocha. “Hello, [Y/N]! I hope you’ve been doing well since the last time we saw each other. March informed me that you got a phone, and Caelus sent me your phone number! If you ever need anything, please let me know, and I’ll try my best to help you. Also, this is Luocha.”
And finally, the last text you received on your phone is from Blade. “This is Blade. Are you still talking to the Aeon?” That was the only message Blade sent to you.
You blink at the message on your phone before unlocking it. You quickly type out a reply to all three men before getting off your bed, running your hands through your hair. You shove your phone into your pocket before following March and Dan Heng out of your bedroom.
You step out of the Astral Express, yawning for the umpteenth time within the span of five minutes. March nudges you, giving you a worried look. You shake your head as if telling her not to worry about it. After all, it’s not like it’s out of the ordinary for you to feel tired. You did arrive in their universe from another world. You’re still adjusting to everything. Plus, it’s not like there’s a timezone since you’re constantly going to different planets and fleets.
“And there they are,” Mr. Yang says, smiling at you, March, and Dan Heng.
Caelus snickers and looks at Dan Heng and March with an eyebrow raised. “Was it really that hard to wake [Y/N] up from their sleep?” asks Caelus, propping his hands on his waist.
March and Dan Heng glare at Caelus while you walk to the nearest bench on the Xianzhou Luofu and plop on it. Luocha sits beside you. You lay your head on Luocha’s shoulders, closing your eyes.
Luocha smiles and caresses your hair. “Did you not sleep well while on your way to the Xianzhou Luofu?” asks Luocha.
You shake your head. “I haven’t been sleeping well recently. I’m not sure if it’s because my body is trying to adjust to the constant change of environment or if it’s because….” you trailed off, opening your eyes.
Luocha peeks down at you, looking at you worriedly. “Because what?” Luocha murmurs.
You sit up and pull your phone out, mindlessly rubbing your thumb against the smooth screen. “I don’t know if I want to say it. I’m hoping it’s not true, but who knows,” you shrug your shoulders.
You have a theory that your lack of sleep could come from your and Nanook’s ways of communication. Nanook speaks to you in your dreams, and you’re very well aware that you’re dreaming. But are you really asleep when Nanook communicates with you through your dreams? Or is your physical body unconscious, but the mind isn’t?
Luocha leans back and gazes at you with his gorgeous green eyes. To Luocha, you do look visibly exhausted. If he were to look closely, you have bags under your eyes, and the little sparkle in your eyes is dim, almost nonexistent.
“It’s because of that Aeon, isn’t it?” asks Blade as he approaches you with Jing Yuan beside him.
You blink at Blade owlishly. It’s possible that it’s because of your communication with Nanook, but you didn’t want to make assumptions. Plus, prior to March and Dan Heng waking you up from your slumber, you didn’t see Nanook. In fact, you didn’t have a dream, nor were you in the very same void whenever you and Nanook communicated.
Blade chuckles bitterly, shaking his head. “You don’t have to answer my question. I have a feeling that your loss of sleep is due to your interaction with Nanook,” says Blade.
As much as you want to agree with Blade, you feel guilty for placing the blame for your lack of sleep on Nanook. All Nanook wanted to do was to see you and speak to you through your dreams because there was no way for Nanook to be there with you physically. Yet. Is it even possible for Nanook to be there with you physically outside of your dreams? Nanook is massive and covers the sun and sky.
You let out a long yawn and cover your mouth.
Someone chuckles. “Aw, it seems like the little one is tired. Aren’t you adorable?” the voice coos into your ears.
You stop mid-yawn and look around, searching for the source of the voice. Luocha, Blade, and Jing Yuan look at you worriedly as you whip your head around to look for the voice of the person.
“[Y/N]? Are you alright?” asks Jing Yuan, kneeling before you. “You look startled.”
You stop looking around. You clear your throat, nodding before resting your head on Luocha’s shoulders, sighing. You realize the voice is coming from inside of your head and that it’s most likely Nanook. If the voice inside your head is Nanook, you’re going to be speaking to the Aeon about it when you’re asleep. Nanook can’t pop in and out of your mind so suddenly without scaring you like that.
“So, March has given you guys my number. She didn’t inform me about it, but I did wake up to a series of text messages other than March slamming my bedroom door open,” you chuckle.
Luocha stands up from the bench and squats in front of you, gesturing for you to get on his back. You blink at the blond man before getting on his back, wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. Luocha stands straight and adjusts you on his back before walking over to where the others are standing, with Blade and Jing Yuan walking beside him. You tighten your grip around Luocha’s neck and rest your head on his shoulders, closing your eyes.
“I was going to say that I was hoping our texting you didn’t disturb your slumber, but you already told us that you woke up to your phone chiming,” Luocha sighs, tightening his grip on your thighs.
You hum, snuggling against Luocha’s back. “It’s fine, really. I would rather wake up to text messages from you guys than March storming into my bedroom to wake me up. She said I take way too many naps,” you chuckle.
“I can hold your phone for you if you’d like. I worry you might drop your phone while holding onto Luocha,” Jing Yuan comments, reaching for your phone. “We wouldn’t want you to break your new phone, now, would we?” Jing Yuan asks, raising his eyebrows at you while poking your cheek.
You hand Jing Yuan your phone, continuing to hold onto the blond man. Blade peeks at your phone and takes it from Jing Yuan’s hands, tapping on the screen to see a group picture of you and the Astral Express crew smiling at the camera. It’s a cute picture. But when Blade unlocked your phone (your password was predictable), a picture of you with Sampo and Gepard was the background for your home screen.
“Who took these pictures?” asks Blade, holding your phone up to your face.
You squint and look at the home screen background. “March took the pictures! She’s my unofficial official photographer.”
Blade hums and begins scrolling through your gallery, narrowing his eyes at each photo that wasn’t a group picture. Most pictures look candid, while others look like it was taken without your knowledge. Especially the images of you sleeping in the indigo-haired man’s arms. Your phone buzzes, and a notification appears at the top of the screen.
‘1 Attachment from March (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚’
Blade clicks on the notification without thinking, and it takes him to the messages between you and March. The attachment was a picture of you getting a piggyback ride from Luocha. The photo was taken a few seconds ago. Blade looks up from your phone and makes eye contact with the pink-haired girl. March’s eyes widen, and she gives Blade a sheepish smile, hiding her phone behind her back while trying to act casual. Blade hands the phone back to Jing Yuan.
Jing Yuan huffs with amusement. “If you don’t mind, would you perhaps take pictures with us as well? I see you’ve been taking pictures with your traveling companions and friends from places you stop by,” says Jing Yuan.
You nod. “Of course we can! We can find a good place to take a picture. We need to let the others know about it first. After all, March is my unofficial official photographer!” you reply.
When you, Luocha, Blade, and Jing Yuan approach the group, the others give you a questioning look while March has her hands crossed over her chest while staring at you. You give March a sheepish look and wave at her from behind Luocha. Mr. Yang walks up to you and hands you an Immortal’s Delight, causing you to perk up and grab the drink from his hands after saying ‘thank you.’
Luocha squats down, and you get off his back, sipping on the sugary drink. You’re really hoping the drink will keep you up for a little bit before returning to the Astral Express and calling it a day. You tapped March’s shoulders and informed her about wanting to take pictures with Jing Yuan, Blade, and Luocha. You and March were trying to think of places to take photos with the help of Dan Heng and Caelus giving suggestions. Sampo and Gepard walk up to Blade, Luocha, and Jing Yuan, eyeing the three men from head to toe. Blade raises his eyebrows, sizing the two men up.
Blade points at Sampo. “What’s your association with [Y/N]?” Blade asks. “You seem quite close with [Y/N]. Do they mean anything to you by any chance?”
Jing Yuan laughs and pats Blade’s shoulders before giving Sampo and Gepard an apologetic smile. “I apologize for Blade suddenly interrogating you about your association with [Y/N]. While we have met a few times, we’re curious about your relationship with [Y/N],” says Jing Yuan. “Well, Blade is more direct about it. As you can see.”
Gepard and Sampo look at one another, staring at the three men in silence. Were they supposed to tell the three strange men their association with you? If those three men (specifically Blade) are curious about it, they will talk to you about it.
Luocha interjects, getting between the four tense men. “Gentlemen! Let’s save this conversation for later, shall we? I believe [Y/N] has picked out a place for the pictures,” says Luocha, laughing nervously while gesturing over in your direction. Luocha turns to look at Gepard and Sampo, bowing to the two men. “I apologize if they’re causing any hostile environment. I hope we can all get along.”
Jing Yuan blinks at Luocha, crossing his arms over his chest. “I’m not the one that’s creating a hostile environment. I believe it’s this one over here,” Jing Yuan says, gesturing toward Blade.
You and your traveling companions walk to where the five men are standing. In your hands, you’re holding two more Immortal’s Delight. The men raise their eyebrows at you while Sampo points at the sugary drinks in your hands.
“Picture time! We have decided to take a picture in this one area of Central Starskiff Haven! Close to where they sell Immortals Delight!” You say, waving the drinks around before taking a sip from one of the cups.
Blade stares at you and then at the cup in your hands. “You’re not going to buy any more of those drinks, are you?” Blade asks, raising his eyebrows at you.
You pursed your lips and slowly walked away. “I can’t promise you anything! If you want to start blaming someone, blame someone that introduced me to Immortals Delight,” you said.
Upon arriving at the Central Starskriff Haven, you, Blade, Jing Yuan, and Luocha stand beside each other in front of the railing. Well, Luocha, Jing Yuan, and Blade are standing beside each other while you stand in front of the three men. March begins taking many pictures of you and the three men on your phone.
In the middle of the photo shoot (is it even a photoshoot?), Blade takes your Immortal’s Delight and begins drinking it. You turn to look at Blade with your mouth agape. The dark-haired man looks away from you and continues slurping the sugary drink without care. Your face pinches up with irritation before chasing Blade around Luocha and Jing Yuan. Jing Yuan and Luocha chuckle and try to get the two of you to stop before causing any more issues.
“This is perfect! It captures their dynamic perfectly!” March says, continuing to snap many pictures of what’s happening.
Jing Yuan sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. “Blade, give [Y/N] back their drink. It’s rude to drink something that doesn’t belong to you,” Jing Yuan chides.
“Yeah, Blade! Don’t be a jerk and give me back my drink!” You say, glaring at the dark-haired man and stopping in your tracks, placing your hands on your knees and panting. “If you make me chase for that drink, I will make you pay for it.”
“Oh? And how are you going to make me pay for it exactly?” Blade asks, raising his eyebrows at you.
You hold your hand out in front of you. Blade stares at you before holding your hand. You stare at your hands in Blade’s grasp. You drop his hands and huff. Luocha chuckles, giving Blade a teasing smile.
“It seems like you don’t understand what [Y/N] is implying. They want you to give them credit for the Immortal’s Delight, not you holding their hand,” Luocha interjects. “One drink costs about 3600 credits per drink. It is a bit pricey for one drink.”
Blade stares at Luocha with disbelief before handing you back your Immortal’s Delight. Your eyes light up, and you stick your tongue out at Blade before turning to look at your traveling companions standing across from you. You nearly drop your drink when you realize how many people had their phones out.
“Don’t mind us! We’re making sure we get good angles!” says March, holding both your and her phone up while continuing to take pictures of you and the three men.
Unbeknownst to you, the men before you took many pictures of you chasing the Stellaron Hunter. They made sure not to include the three men in the pictures because they were focused on capturing the moments when your eyes light up when Blade returns your drink. Who knew that the brightest star in the universe has tiny specks of stars in their eyes when they’re happy.

DAN HENG is VEEERY very nervous around you when he's realized his feelings towards you were romantic. He tries to flirt, (he tried to do the 'pinning you to the wall' thing but he backed out the second his hand made contact with the wall and you couldnt find him for a week) but is painfully bad at it.
You smile and his heart is doing BACKFLIPS, he has to clear his throat, turn around and hang his head down low just to fail and hide the pretty shade of red on his cheeks.
He's so easily flustered by anything you do, that man is crazy inlove that Caelus starts calling him delusional for thinking how yours and his hands briefly brushed over each other meant you may or may not reciprocate his feelings.
He likes to talk about you to March and Caeulus a lot, (they're sick and tired of him) but they're just happy you can bring that kind of smile to his face. The absolute adoration in his eyes and the fondness in his smile as he talks about you, who wouldn't be happy for their friend if they looked like that? Even if they're tired of him talking about eye contact wih you for 3 hours, he's happy and you make him happy. That's all they ever want for him.

JING YUAN is subtle, and tries to be cool when it comes to his crush for you. However, he trips on his words whenever you playfully tease back or anything of the such. He even makes stupid corny jokes that aren't that funny but are so bad you can't help but laugh.
His busy schedule does make trying to make time to see you much harder. Unless you work within his organization, he'll barely get to have a conversation longer than 3 minutes. So whenever he does see you during his non-work hours, he'll try to a lot of time with you to make up for the times that he couldn't be by your side.
He's pretty subtle with his flirting, offering to lock arms as you tour Luofu so that 'he can keep you close and won't lose you' and purely out of respect. He's probably really poetic with his teasing or flirting too, comparing your beauty to Aeons.

It's pretty much obvious that GEPARD gets nervous around you, but he's so adorable your heart cannot handle it. You loved to squeeze his cheeks whenever he's flustered, making it impossible to look away and leaving you to giggle at how he mutters how embarrassed he felt.
You're already well aware of his crush on you, (not that he was good at hiding it) but you just needed to be ready. You loved him back with your whole heart, but you just needed time, and Gepard could wait.
He even gained your guardians approval, that on the day you were ready, they would give him his blessing. They knew Gepard was a man with a pure heart, one that was ready to love you with the love you deserved.

CAELUS had grown fond of you, but his crush on you was surprisingly soft. He wanted to protect you, and with what he was capable of, he loved to do it. Your praise in his ears is like music, he could never get tired of taking care of you and it's almost like a love language.
He has such a sweet smile when he looks or thinks of you, something about you makes his heart melt, kick his feet and twirl his hair like a school girl or something. (this is a joke)
Spending time with him usually consists of you doing whatever you want, and Caelus following you like a lost duckling. He likes it when you grab his hand, and drag him wherever. You might be rambling about something, but his only focus is the way you and him intertwined fingers and how soft your hand felt in his.

I just see your request is open so~

Its a love triangle
Fem reader is a astral express crew too
She is innocent, kind, gentle and elegant
Younger than astral express crew too
Lets just say, she is meet blade when he got many injured on his body, she knew that blade is a criminal but, she didn't have a heart to just leave him like that so she heal him with her power and have a few minutes of talk with blade . And boom! He feel in love with fem reader reader
About dan heng, he is already fall in love with her before blade. So, after they meet again when he is still in his IL form, he have a talk with them right? He talk with fem reader too but feel a little shy, his face is a little red, fem reader think dan heng is sick so she just put her palm on his forehead, the result is his forehead feel hot not because of sick but because of embarrased.
At night dan heng and blade accidently meet, the astral express crew is not with him, he just want to be alone for a while, but he suddenly meet blade .
And they just talking about who will steal fem reader's heart while glaring at each other
(If I can have both why just one hehehe jk)

i wrote a love triangle and maybe something similar to what you said? hopefully this is ok!

in the dead of night, you remain peacefully asleep underneath your thick covers. the bed was warm, soft, almost welcoming you for an eternal slumber...that is, until your phone had woken you up. specifically enough, it was due to the constant vibrations and notification pings that constantly were setting off. your eyes stir awake, your arm weakly reaching forward to grab the device off your nightstand. squinting, almost decimated by the brightness of your phone, you were greeted from a text from a familiar name.
➜ yukong: hey, y/n. i apologize for texting you while you remain asleep. you can respond once you're awake, but if you're able to, can you run some errands for me if able? obviously, there will be payment involved.
➜ y/n: it's okay, i just woke up. i can do it rn if you want
➜ yukong: ahhh, you're awake? im sorry! go back to sleep
➜ y/n: no, it's okay. i don't mind helping you.
➜ yukong: okay, if you say so. just be sure to rest after, okay? i'll make sure you get an extra reward for this.
then, you would take a moment to spend your way too early morning getting ready. from washing your face, brushing your teeth, dressing up...and finally you were ready to head out.
stepping foot into xianzhou, you made your way towards the building that yukong frequently worked in. there, she assigned you with a task of delivering paperwork to a few clients. she was unable to do this work due to some personal stuff coming up within her life, thus allowing her to entrust you with these work-related tasks. but there was no surprise to this type of work whatsoever. himeko and welt often asked you to deliver and run errands for them, especially on the space station. this was no different, especially when this was one of the main ways of how you got your credits.
the client's location in particular was in a place that you were familiar with, and being in xianzhou long enough, you were able to find shortcuts and learn which routes to take to avoid confronting monsters and the like. so, you decide to take a route that was practically an alleyway. a bit scary when it's dark, but it always succeeded when it came to going to your destination site.
you hum to yourself, practically predicting that this would be a very easy-going day. just deliver a few thing and go back to the astral express and just hang out with march, right?
you were dead wrong.
the moment you continued down the alleyway path, you come across an individual in particular that seemed...slumped against the wall. the stench of blood filled your nose, but it was a smell you were quite accustomed to, being consistently in the battlefield and all. you immediately knew that this person was injured, perhaps lifeless, even.
though, the alleyway was still a bit dark, rendering your eyes to be useless to make out who the person was. nevertheless, you were here, and you were on the path of abundance. you would take this time to help this person, and...
"...blade?"
you stepped closer, your e/c hues taking a glimpse of his familiar hair, his signature weapon that was laid on the ground, decorated with the blossoming of someone's blood...and his eyes. those beautiful, golden and scarlet eyes you would admire. his eyes were beautiful as ever, but they remained...so dull. so solemn.
you stopped in place, unsure of what to do or how to truly act in this situation. this man―this man in front of you...he was your enemy. he was the enemy of your family―the astral express crew. and here he was, struggling to breathe, unable to defend himself. even with you here, and he didn't seem to care...as though he trusted that you wouldn't do anything to him.
"...gh," you could hear him grunt, his fingers clutching tightly at his side as his blood oozed inbetween his fingers. "what?"
your eyes peel to his injuries, and you set down the paperwork you were meant to deliver. at this very moment, you had the option to basically arrest the man, to take him as prisoner. you could do it and make your life easier...but something didn't seem right. surely, kafka would be on her way to assist him now, no? but you didn't have time to think―you needed to act, and blade's life was practically in your hands.
as you sat down, both of your hands emit a soft glow of turquoise, giving a visual indication that you were going to heal him. hovering your hands over his injuries, you watch carefully, observing the rest of his features. he was stabbed, he was hurt―but who? who did this?
"...uhn," he grunted again, a stubborn smirk appearing upon his visage, "why are you even here? you had the opportunity to kill me, to take me prisoner, and yet―"
"shh. save your breath, blade."
that's when he actually did listen to you, as though you possessed kafka's verbal skill and remained silent. the pain that he felt was now gone, only to be replaced by the soreness of his injuries. gritting his teeth, the man would laugh to himself. the pain, everything he felt through is injuries⸻he had missed it. he was quite the masochist, after all.
blade had limped, still clutching to the side. the soreness of his injuries would take some time to get used to. it had been a while since he's been this brutally stabbed before. "so, what?" he began, "you're gonna go run off and tell the others that i was here? you should've taken me captive and have gotten over it, y/n."
"...i can't do that to you," you murmured, "it's just⸻"
"just what?"
boldly enough, blade walks over to you, extending an arm towards you. his hand was already caressing the side of your face, the pad of his thumb was brushing against your skin. you gazed upon his features, admiring this scarlet gaze that looked upon you so...softly.
"you've taken many lives before, y/n. many lives you did to save a world. so, you can take mine. or even take me. why can't you?"
you frown, almost instinctively leaning into his touch, "don't say that," you murmur, "i just...i just can't."
your heart began to race. you loved blade, and you loved him dearly, but you just didn't know your choices at this very moment. you didn't know what you wanted. you pulled away, gently brushing his hand away as you turned your back to him, picking up the pieces of paper that you set to the side to assist him.
blade watched you in silence, admiring your physique and beauty as he eyed on the paperwork. errands, again. is the astral express making you do all the dirty work again? there he goes, assuming that the astral express crew is making you do shit for them/
"i have to go. i'll⸻i'll see you later, blade."
you definitely will see him later.
"..."
blade was silent, watching as you left the scene quickly. he did, however, made sure that you left safely as you had arrived to assist him⸻but you had left something behind, as it fell out of your pocket as you left the scene.
your phone.

you were gone for quite a while.
your disappearance left dan heng and the others of the astral express team to worry about you...you weren't responding either. they have tried to check your location, but they keep forgetting that it was nearly difficult to really find your approximate location when they were on the astral express versus you being in xianzhou.
"i think she's fine, really." himeko said, "but i can't help but actually worry about y/n."
"do you think she was kidnapped!?" march exclaimed, gasping dramatically.
"no, march," welt shook his head, "she might've taken off without us knowing. i am sure she's just fine. besides, our security system would've picked it up a while ago if we had an intruder."
"hm." dan heng shook his head, "i'll go find her."
then everyone's eyes casted over to dan heng. march blinked, "eh!? well, you know xianzhou better than any of us... would you like for me to come with you, dan heng?"
dan heng shook his head, dismissing the topic with a hand as he shoved his phone into his own pocket. "no. i have business there to attend to anyways, so i better just look for her myself."
march looked back to the crew before nodding with everyone else in unison. "alright...well, please let us know if something came up, okay? tell y/n she's a dummy for not telling us anything!"
dan heng shook his head again. "sure, i will. i'll be back."

when dan heng had arrived upon the world of xianzhou, he was greeted by the welcoming scent of his homeworld's air. the fresh breeze, the gentle autumn leaves that brushed through with the winds that fluttered gently. the beautiful, bright blue sky that now greeted the world with its morning glory...but you were nowhere to be seen.
he wondered where you were at, and it may not show, but he was worried about you deeply. everyone else trusted that you were fine, but dan heng had felt otherwise. after all, he had very strong feelings towards you, and never once did he spent a day without worrying about you.
➜ dan heng: where are you, y/n?
➜ dan heng: did your phone die?
➜ dan heng: hang on. i'm coming to look for you.
➜ dan heng: huh? hold on, it says you're online. why aren't you responding to any of us?
it was strange, wasn't it? that you were online⸻as it said on his phone⸻but you weren't responding to anyone. could it be that you left your phone somewhere and it just turned on? no, that's not how technology really worked, and dan heng wasn't that less intellectual when it came to technology and all that sort of stuff.
in truth, someone else that wasn't you was watching these messages. reading them. someone had your phone.
this worried dan heng even more, wondering why you are online and choosing not to text anyone. were you upset? did he do something wrong? something wasn't right. that was when⸻
his fighter instincts kicked in as he felt something, or someone, coming towards him at such incredible, unpredicting speed. oh, he already knew who it was. within a milisecond, dan heng took form of his vidyadhara form, greeting his rival with a deflection of his own attack. as his lance and the opponent's sword met, dan heng looked forward, observing the intruder that attacked him.
"⸻!?"
and at the corner of his eye, dan heng could see a familiar cellular device was in the intruder's free hand...
"⸻you." dan heng retrieved his attack and leaped back, watching as his opponent did the same, "why do you have y/n's phone? what did you do?"
blade had laughed, his faint smirk appearing on his features as he lifted your phone, displaying the conversation between her and dan heng...or well, dan heng ultimately blowing up her phone with how worried he is.
"oh, this? she dropped it. why, you want it?" blade looked down to your phone, reading the text messages. "you text her this often, huh? what's is it between you and her?"
oh, it was so obvious. the two of them were possessive of you. blade, especially, who would practically annihilate anyone to keep you as his. but for the sake of your happiness, he hasn't. he hasn't killed anyone...yet. and he's waiting for the perfect time to steal you away, however. and now wasn't the time, unfortunately.
"what?" dan heng raised a brow. "what is going on between her and i has nothing to do with you. what did you do to y/n?"
"don't worry a single thing about it, boy," blade said, glancing down to the phone once again.
how annoying, blade thought to himself. the two of you were texting like this? holding onto your device, he inputted his own contacts, allowing the two of you to actually have a form of contact. of course, you were nowhere in sight, and you wouldn't know about this at all.
the dragon gritted his teeth, "where is she."
blade could see that dan heng was getting more furious by the second, and it was quite the sight to behold. oh, he was amused by this. he was allured by the anger of his archenemy. oh, it was amazing alright.
"go find her yourself. if you're worried that i did something, then you must be more stupid than i truly thought you are." turning off your phone, blade tosses the device over to dan heng, then he sheathed his own signature weapon away. "she's running errands for someone named yukong. that's all that's to it. she dropped her phone, and i happened to retrieve it."
how he knew about this information? he read your conversations, of course!
dan heng continued to glare daggers at the stellaron hunter. his hand twitched, but he caught the phone that belonged to you. "if you had touched her⸻"
"i certainly wish i did," blade mocked, "but i didn't. now run along."
that was when blade turned his back towards dan heng, allowing him to make his exit freely and safety. for some reason, dan heng chose to believe his words...blade...wouldn't exactly lie about keeping someone alive, either. with a huff of his mouth, dan heng proceeded to make an exit.
but this quarrel alone was suspicious. why was blade possessive of you? why did he have your phone? did something happen between the two of you? were you both holding a secret relationship? each question sent an aching pain to his heartstrings, which pulled his organs violently...
he needed answers, but he didn't want to know. he was afraid that you and him were... no, no. don't even think about it, dan heng. ensure her safety first.
what felt like forever, he finally saw you walking through the bustling streets of aurum alley, catching a glimpse of your h/c hair from the distance. he ran after you, "y/n!" he called out.
that was when you turned around, your familiar e/c eyes falling to the sight of dan heng in his vidyadhara form. right, he was always so beautiful in that form. you always admired him. his beauty, his strength⸻his loyalty and passion to his friends. and you, especially.
in his hand, dan heng held your phone, lifting the device.
"dan heng!" you called out, taking a few steps towards him as he approached you. coming to a stop, you notice that dan heng had your phone. giving you your device, you look at it, seeing that there were no cracks, and it was safely taken care of.
"ah, my phone! sorry, i was just about to go back to look for it and⸻"
"what were you thinking, worrying us like that?" dan heng had cut you off with his constant worrying about you. he was the silent, cold type, but because of you, you opened up a bit more of his social side...where it shows that he's very protective and worrying of you.
"ah! i'm sorry, just something happened and yukong needed my help, and⸻"
he cut you off again, as he sighed with relief, pulling you into his arms. you blinked, embracing the scent that he had, and the warmth that resonated upon his physique. you slowly returned the embrace, feeling your phone buzz quietly.
"ah...sorry, dan heng. i should've told you guys i would be leaving. it was just a short errand. i'm sorry for worrying you so much."
dan heng shook his head, keeping the embrace. as you embraced each other, you could see that someone had texted you...
➜ ???: good thing you're safe. i would've killed someone.
ah?
you had an idea who it might be, but you didn't respond. you'll do so later.
dan heng pulled away, a look of relief washing his ethereal features as he checked you for injuries...but he stopped himself, knowing that you were well and fine. "the others are waiting for you. have you finished your errands, y/n?"
you blink, nodding. "yeah. yukong gave me my reward, so i was just on my way back the moment i found my phone. i guess we can head back together, dan heng."
dan heng nodded, almost reluctant to take your hand...but he can't do anything yet. he wasn't sure about your relationship with blade. they both wanted you...but they weren't sure of each other's relationship with you. everything was amiss, after all. hidden behind a fog, unseeable.
"yeah, let's head back, y/n."

after being escorted back home to the parlor car, you were in your room. you had finished showering, eating...and finally you had some time to rest after an eventful day.
...but you had forgotten something... the text that you had received a few hours ago. it's best that you respond.
➜ ???: good thing you're safe. i would've killed someone.
➜ y/n: blade? sorry. i just saw this.
➜ ???: who else would it be. are you hurt?
he texted back immediately, too. you decided to add him back through your contacts, sending him a friend request and he would accept. you couldn't feel it or see it, but he was satisfied with that. the man barely uses his phone but for mission comms only. but now, he has a reason to use his phone more.
but also, now you know which person will be texting you. silver wolf and kafka have history of using his phone constantly when they don't have theirs, anyway.
➜ y/n: no, i'm okay. thank you for getting my phone back. are you alright? i'm moreso worried about you
➜ blade: i'm fine. are you going to bed?
➜ y/n: yeah, i'm tired. you should rest too. your injuries were bad...what happened anyway??
➜ blade: don't concern yourself with my quarrels, y/n.
➜ y/n: okay. as long as you're alright. but i am...getting a bit sleepy. but
➜ blade: ?
➜ y/n: i want to talk to you more
➜ blade: lol. go sleep. you can always text me.
➜ y/n: but in person?
➜ blade: one day.
➜ y/n: okay...
➜ blade: rest.
you stopped responding after that.
blade knew you had been succumbed into the arms of slumber, but he didn't dare try to wake you up. this time, he kept this phone on himself securely. he would never let kafka and silver wolf see these conversations...they were his to see, and for his eyes alone.

Dan Heng Appreciation (3.0 Edition)
Resident Dan Heng Enjoyer here, late because it really took that long to let everything in the story settle in + it's been enough time for a lot of players to get through the quest
I must continue my quest in appreciating Dan Heng
Of course, 3.0 quest spoilers below~
The naming the next reincarnation option is FOUL LOL
I love how logical he chooses to approach things! It's also kind of amusing that we can be more upset about Cloud-Piercer breaking than he is.
Once again, true but FOUL looool
He's adorable, I love him!! And I adore how the pair make sure to get those pictures for March. I love this trio TvT (and it hits so much harder considering the current situation for March)
Real lol
This part!!! Protective Dan Heng has my heart TvT He was so on point for talking about how they weren't obligated to help after all that and how they could just leave while they were still on good enough terms. But him still going with whatever the Trailblazer decides is so ride-or-die of him, he's Astral Express first and foremost!
"Our resident yapper isn't here, so one of us has to do the yapping, and it clearly isn't going to be you."
That's a whole mood.
Bro doesn't even say a word ToT you would NOT catch him doing physical contact when asked directly like that LOOOOL
CONCERNED DAN HENG MY LOOOOOOOOVE
"My friends are my power" coming from Dan Heng is so funny ToT My KH-loving self is clapping and pumping my fist in the air. (Can't believe I can't escape KH on my side blog either ToT)
It's funny 'cause I legit said out loud, "What? I am interested though!" Let me game, Dan Heng!!!
I actually have more screenshots but I thought these would be good enough for this post. I love that he's here with us and we get to venture with him!!! I love seeing more of his character shine through and we get to see how much he loves the Express. I'm gonna cry!!!
I know I've made posts about whole quests for updates since 2.4 but I'm not sure if I want to for 3.0? Mostly because it's very loaded, though I do have a lot of thoughts.
(Everything in tandem to March and the Paths that surround Amphoreus has me screaming)

dan heng dan heng dan heng—nothing in the brain but the damn guy that has male living space in the fucking archives!! nothing in the brain but his cold dragon young ass crushing on you!!
dan heng that probably knows you like that back of his hand, i shit you NOT he knows what you like, what you don’t like—the moment you start talking about it, he’s memorized it and stored it in his brain. flowers? he knows exactly what kind and what color. food? he knows what you like and find disgusting.
dan heng who is kinda (he hates to admit it) enjoys the attention you give him. he ain’t slick with that way he’s hiding that blush when you tell him “that’s so interesting! you gotta tell me more!” even when he pardons himself because he catches himself rambling, and you urge him to continue?? fuck, he’s floored.
dan heng who enjoys small acts of skinship. especially when he likes you, alot. the gentle tug of his hand when you both are in belabog as you both navigate through the streets to find a place to sit down. or his steady hold on your hand as you make the warps/jumps in the astral express traveling. if he knows you get scared easily, he’ll let you hold his hand throughout the wrap until you let go. you once gave him a pat on the shoulder with a big smile and saying “nice one, dan heng!” and he never forgot how happy he felt after that. the praise made him happy for the whole day it was obvious.
i am a firm believer of pinky linking with dan heng idc what you tell me. PINKY LINKING WITH DAN HENG.
dan heng, who is jealous! especially when other people show clear cut interest in you as a partner. he’s slightly pouty and grumbles but only in private ;> he’d rather get swallowed by the earth than telling you he feels…jealous because he wants your gaze on him, just him.
dan heng who is, despite it all, terrified of telling you how he feels :( his past, his burdens and worries—all of it goes away when you’re both together but how long could that last? and the idea of you…being bothered by his worries and past scares him. he knows he wants to trust you but he is scared. scared that, once you find out—things will never be the same and that everything would be terrifyingly different and that the trust you developed in him would be broken. one day, he’ll tell you all about it but for now—he wishes to enjoy the innocent smile free from the troubles he’ll face.
—after all, all of this is going to be future dan heng’s problem ( ´∀`) not his!
#yuuzutxt#yuuzu rambles#dan heng x reader#dan heng#hsr x reader#hsr#honkai star rail#i hope its obvious that im in love with dan heng

to sit in hell with you
summary ⎯ based on the the louvre by lorde. you and dan heng have been through rough times alone. why shouldn't you go through these times together?
tags ⎯ post dragon transformation. unestablished relationship (bc yes). friends to lovers (yes). pining (this is keyotos). love confession but the two idiots don't realize it.
tana's words ⎯ read the hsr leaks and dan heng's past destroyed me but it's so interesting at the same time?? i wanted to make the most angsty sad lovers to strangers fic ever but i am choosing kindness.
the chill that spread itself through the night was one of the many things that kept dan heng awake. after this particularly brutalizing mission, he had never felt more exhausted and confused.
where to go to now? what to do now? everything about his past had been a blur to him, with the exception of being a vidyadhara, of course. but now, what had happened, dan heng didn't know what to do with himself.
you took notice of this. dan heng was never really open about his past. he was very private and keen to solitude, even if you were his closest friend. but you never minded. you were more focused on the fact that he even spoke to you in the first place.
looking at dan heng now, he looks so much more different than the usual dan heng. dan heng was usually the "leader" of the group, always stepping in and taking action, always knowing what to do. but this time, dan heng looked so confused, so small.
it's a feeling that everyone knows, a feeling that everyone has experienced once in their life. but seeing it on dan heng looked so surreal. it was uncanny, to say the least.
it was a sorrowful sight; your closest friend going from tenacious to disoriented. you'd do anything to make him feel at least a little bit better.
"hey," you walked towards him, "how are you doing?" a stupid question, you realize. obviously, he is not doing well. you've made note of this in your head already.
"fine," he lies. dan heng doesn't know that you have caught onto the signals he produces every time he lies. he avoids eye contact, instead he looks down to the ground. he talks lesser than he usually does. and, this only happens when he's lying to you, the tips of his ears turn a slight crimson color.
"really?" you raise an eyebrow, indicating that you know he's lying.
dan heng sighs, still not facing towards you. "i'm a little shocked. but i'm fine."
"is it because of the..." you paused forming horns on top of your head, "and your..." you continued to gesture things, now trying to illustrate his long hair.
dan heng laughed and your heart warmed. at least he was laughing. "yeah. but i'm still pondering on where i go now," he crossed his arms. "with learning all of this, i don't know where to go."
you didn't say anything. if dan heng was trying to imply that he wanted to leave the express, you needed to push down the urge to grab onto him and ask him to stay.
dan heng didn't want to leave the express. he didn't want to leave for a few reasons: the nameless, learning about the stellaron inside stelle's body, and you. they were all important reasons, but to dan heng, you were reason enough to stay.
however, all good things must come to an end sometimes. after learning more about his past life, he couldn't risk hurting the express, especially hurting you out of all people. the thought of you even being in the slightest pain because of him made dan heng weak; you were too big of a risk to lose.
it was silent between the two of you. dan heng was looking to the ground while you were looking at him. you were admiring him, to say the least. he definitely looked different, but it was a good different. he looked luminescent, like he was glowing in the night sky. his horns shone brightly; the moon paled in comparison to his looks right now.
you hadn't registered how long you had been staring at him, because now dan heng removed his attention from the ground and placed it on you. when your eyes locked in a tight embrace, you briskly turned your head around to try to dismiss the fact that you were staring at dan heng.
dan heng frowned, "do i look weird?" he moved away from you.
your head jolted back as quickly as it jolted away, "what? no!" you exclaimed, moving closer. it was like wherever he went, you had to follow.
"you always look good," you blurted. realizing what you had just said, you quickly clamped your hand over your mouth. but clamping your hand over your mouth looked wrong, so you uncovered your mouth and buried your head in your hands. dan heng thought the sight was amusing, leaning closer to you now.
"that's not what i meant," you tried to save, "i mean⎯ it is. wait⎯ that came out wrong," you sighed, "it all came out wrong. well⎯ i mean⎯fuck!" was the final word that came out. how could you get so tongue⎯tied around him?
dan heng laughed, "thank you," he slightly smiled, trying to hide the red tint throughout his ear. one thing you didn't know about dan heng was when he was embarrassed, his entire ear would turn read.
"you could never look bad," you finally got out, "trust me." your sweet nothings just made dan heng turn redder. you were his closest friend, the person that knew him best. why is he getting so flustered at kind words?
"if you think you look awful, just try to think back to that one time i tried to give myself layers on the express," you shook your head. "that was weird."
you were still beautiful in my eyes, dan heng thought. you still are beautiful, he noticed as he watched you speak.
you thought back to all your memories with dan heng on the express. the nights where you laid on the ground, discussing various plots of your worst books. you loved complaining to dan heng, because even when you spout out nonsense he would still listen.
late night snacks in the kitchen with dan heng always made your night. you two would make a mess together, and surprisingly cleaning it up was more fun than making the actual mess.
and when you stayed the night in his room? when you woke up and were wrapped in blankets whilst still being on top of the ground. when you saw dan heng laying next to you with no blankets at all. when you pulled dan heng closer, feeling your skin buzz at his touch, and falling back asleep.
"dan heng," you faced him, "if what you were implying before⎯ if you really are going to leave the astral express, i must be truthful with you," you gulped. you weren't ready for this. but he needed to know.
"i don't want you to leave," you spoke to fast that the words jumbled together. catching your breath, you repeat yourself so that you sound more clear, "i don't want you to leave the astral express."
you breath again, this time more shakily, "i can't imagine it without you. i want you to stay⎯" stay with me, you wanted to say, "i want you to stay with us," you alternatively say.
your words said that you wanted dan heng to stay with everyone, but your eyes were telling differently. where you thought you knew dan heng better than he knew himself, dan heng knew deep in his bones that he knows you better than anyone else.
your eyes tell a story of longing. your eyes are squinting with desperation, begging him to stay with you. you're looking at him like you need him to breath, whether you know it or not.
dan heng is familiar with that look, as he expresses the same one when he sees you. not that he knows, though.
the rise and fall of your chest quickens, "i know this is selfish of me, but i really cannot imagine life without you sometimes," your mind takes over. you originally meant to say that you couldn't imagine life on the express without him. but subconsciously, you knew you meant this.
you hesitate to say the next part of your parting, as you're afraid it might become true, "however, if you do want to leave, i won't stop you. i'll let you go, no hard feelings like you know who," you joke. you're trying to ignore the feelings that will occur when you do lose him. it's not working, your heart feels like it's gonna shatter.
"whatever happens next, just know i'll always wish you the best," you clasp your hands together. you didn't even realize how sweaty they've gotten after the entire conversation.
as you reach down to wipe the sweat off your hands, dan heng takes the opportunity to grab you by your wrist and pull you into a tight embrace. he holds you so gently; his hold on you is soft and vulnerable. but it is also unyielding, as if he is guarding you from the heavens and above. he's holding onto you for dear life, making sure nothing would ever get to him.
at first, you thought this was a sign he was leaving. he was giving you one last hug before he left. dan heng was never really affectionate, so this must be why he is giving you such a sensual embrace.
you were internally panicking until you felt dan heng bury his head in your hair. he inhaled you, wanting to absorb your very being. his dragon form towered over you; he was much taller and bigger now than before. his hand delicately brushed through your hair as his grip on your body was still tight.
this is it, you thought, after this i will never see him again.
you give in to his embrace, grabbing onto his broad shoulders and squeezing him so hard that you couldn't bear to let go. if this be the last time you two see each other, you were going to make the most out of it. you were going to feel him one last time.
you two rocked back and forth for a few seconds before he let you go. you tried your best to avoid his gaze; if you took one last look at his face you may as well burst into tears.
but dan heng has a different idea. his hands cup your face, guiding it towards him. your full attention is on him now, you couldn't look away.
"if you cannot live without me, i suppose i cannot live without you either," he murmured and looked to the night. it was so quiet that you almost didn't hear it. he stroked your cheek.
"do you want me to stay with you?" not us, you. dan heng needed to know if you wanted the risks; he wouldn't dare to subject you to himself if you didn't want to get hurt.
"yes," you whispered, "stay."
"i will stay with you for as long as you want me to," he let go of your cheek and grabbed your hand, "i will stay with you until you're sick of me and you wish me to be gone. but tell me, do you really want me to stay?"
and you finally understand dan heng's repetition of the same question. he's scared of the risks: he's scared of the consequences. he doesn't want harm to come your way, as he fears you would succumb to death just as others had before.
"dan heng, i want you to stay no matter what," you hold onto his hand tighter, "i want it all. i want the risks, i want the danger, i can take it! but most of all i just want you here," you breathlessly rant, "whatever danger comes to us, i promise you we'll get through it together. no more isolation, because if you stay with me, i'll be by your side for anything."
"please," you tug onto his hand, "i want you to stay."
dan heng drinks your words up as if he was a knight dying of thirst. he soaks up every word like it would be the last thing he would ever hear. all that matters now is that you want him to stay. and dan heng will stay. he'll stay for the nameless, the express, but mostly for you.
dan heng realizes now that there wouldn't have been any risks. because now he knows that you'd get through it together. you'd fight for him no matter what. and now, dan heng is prepared to fight for you, no matter the situation. he would be there for you the same way you were there for him. he'd make sure of it.
dan heng pulls you into another embrace. this time, it's less desperate. it's loving, sincere, and relaxing; this would not be the last hug.
"then i'll stay," dan heng finally breaths, "for you. i'll stay for you," he smiled into the embrace. and unbeknownst to you, dan heng also feels you smile against his chest, safe and sound.

Hello!
I would like to request Gepard, Dan Heng, and Welt when the reader uses flirty pick up lines on them after getting into a relationship? I tend to do this after someone becomes my partner, but not before dating lol
Thank you and have a wonderful morning/night!
-🌸
Flirty Pick-Up Lines
Character(s) : Gepard, Dan Heng, Welt Genre : Fluff a/n : Sure thing 🌸anon ! Happy that people are requesting (ㅅ´ ˘ `), hope you like this one, first time writing for welt !! Reminder that request is always open so feel free to send me an ask!
One day, as the sun painted the sky in hues of gold, you decided it was time to put your plan into action. Your heart raced as you approached Gepard, who was intently inspecting the edge of his finely honed blade, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"Hey, Gepard," you began, your voice carrying a touch of playfulness that was rare in your encounters. He glanced up, those striking eyes of his locking onto yours. "Do you have a map? I just got lost in your eyes."
For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Gepard blinked, a faint flush creeping up his cheeks. His grip on the sword tightened almost imperceptibly, and his usually composed demeanor faltered. You could see the gears turning in his head, processing your words with a mixture of bewilderment and a hint of embarrassment.
"Um, well," he stammered, his usual eloquence deserting him. "I… uh, I don't… I mean, that's not…" His words stumbled over each other, his face turning a shade of red that rivaled the setting sun.
A small smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you watched Gepard, the formidable captain, transform into a flustered mess right before your eyes. It was a side of him that few had the privilege to witness – the dorky, endearing vulnerability that made your heart flutter.
Finally regaining some semblance of composure, Gepard cleared his throat, avoiding your gaze as he mumbled, "I, uh, I've never been very good with… uh, those kinds of things."
Your heart swelled at his adorable confession. He might be a fierce warrior on the battlefield, but when it came to matters of the heart and flirtation, he was just as uncertain as anyone else. It was a delightful contrast to his usual composed self.
With a chuckle, you reached out to gently touch his arm, your touch coaxing him to meet your eyes again. "Don't worry, Gepard. I think you're doing just fine."
His eyes held a mix of relief and gratitude as he managed a small smile in return. "Well, I, uh, appreciate your understanding."
As the two of you shared that moment, a bond formed between you – one that transcended the roles of captain and warrior. It was a connection that hinted at a future filled with laughter, warmth, and the sweet enchantment of being true to yourselves, both as noble protectors and as two people discovering the joy of love.
As the train journeyed through the cosmos, you mustered the courage to do something you'd never done before – flirt. Your usual words of camaraderie were replaced by a playful spark in your eyes and a creative pick-up line on your lips.
"Hey Dan Heng, are you made of copper and tellurium?" you quipped, unable to contain your amusement.
He glanced at you with an arched eyebrow, a hint of curiosity in his otherwise stoic expression. "Copper and tellurium? That's an unusual combination."
A mischievous smile played on your lips as you continued, "Because you're Cu-Te, and you've definitely got a magnetic pull on me."
The silence that followed felt weighty, as if the entire universe held its breath. Then, a shift – a subtle softening in his eyes, a faint hue of pink tinging his cheeks. It was a reaction you hadn't quite anticipated, but it sent a flutter through your chest.
Dan Heng's lips quirked upward, a sign of a smile hidden within his calm demeanor. "I must admit, that's quite the creative line."
Emboldened by his response, you leaned in slightly, your voice lowering to a conspiratorial tone. "You know, I've been saving that one just for you."
His gaze held yours for a moment, his quiet intensity a language of its own. "Is that so?"
The surprise on his face soon gave way to a soft smile, one that was reserved for your eyes only. It was as though he had let down his guard just a fraction, letting you glimpse the vulnerability that he kept hidden from the world.
"Your pick-up lines are as unconventional as your methods," he spoke up, amusement dancing in his gaze.
You grinned, feeling an exhilarating rush at his reaction. "I figured I'd try something new," you quipped, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over you.
Dan Heng's gaze remained fixed on you, his usual stoicism now softened by a newfound warmth. "You have a way of surprising me, [Y/N]," he admitted, his voice carrying a tenderness that echoed in the air.
A shy smile tugged at the corners of your lips. "I guess that's one of the perks of being around, isn't it?" you replied playfully, your heart swelling with affection.
Dan Heng nodded, a genuine smile gracing his features – a sight that you had come to cherish. "Indeed, it seems so," he conceded, his cool facade slipping away further to reveal the person he reserved solely for you.
Leaning casually against the railing beside him, you flashed a playful smile. "Hey, Welt, are you a campfire? Because you're hot and I want s'more."
A hint of surprise danced in Welt's brown eyes, his cheeks dusted with the faintest tinge of pink. He cleared his throat, the corners of his lips quirking up as he responded with a charming seriousness, "Well, I must say that's quite the unique comparison."
You chuckled, trying to hide your own flustered state. "I thought you might appreciate a little creativity."
Welt's gaze remained locked on you, his brow raised ever so slightly. "Oh, I appreciate it, believe me. But, if you're comparing me to a campfire, then you must be the spark that started it all."
Your heart skipped a beat, his words sending a delightful shiver down your spine. It seemed that your pick-up line had caught him off guard in the best way possible. The two of you shared a moment, your eyes locked in a dance of unspoken emotions.
Welt's fingers toyed with the edge of his notebook, a thoughtful expression on his face. "You know, I've been sketching our adventures in here. But I think I'll need a special section just for this particular moment."
Your cheeks grew warmer at his words, and you decided to steer the conversation away from the edge of fluster. "I'd be honored to be immortalized in your sketches."
Welt's smile turned softer, his gaze lingering on you. "I'll make sure to capture every detail perfectly."
As the two of you continued to chat, the air around you seemed to hum with newfound excitement. While Welt maintained his composed demeanor, you could see the playful glint in his eyes that betrayed his true feelings.

— love me like you do
cw; jealous!jing yuan, unprotected sex, semi - public sex (in his office), teasing, gentle yet firm jing yuan, baby / pregnancy talk
important; reader is referred to as: wife, princess, dear, sweetheart, as well as usage of she/her pronouns once or twice
note; i promise i'll get to my requests now lmao, just had to get the horny out of my system with me being suddenly so comfortable with writing for star rail characters.
wc; ~2.500

“dear, can you come to my office real quick? i … need some help with some documents.”
the excuse jing yuan put out there was probably the most unbelievable one he could ever have come up with. help with documents? please, he was always known to never need any sort of help with any work related stuff. you rolled your eyes at his obvious attempt to get you into his office for something that is clearly not work related.
“what’s up?”, you asked him once you closed the door behind you, as he opened up his arms, so that you could come to him and give him a hug. the way he made you feel absolutely comfortable sitting on his lap despite being in his office at the commission made your heart flutter – you simply never thought to be able to relax this much being here instead of the comfort of your home.
“nothin’ really. just missed you”, he grumbled, softly stroking through your hair as he placed a soft kiss on your forehead. “is it wrong of me to miss my beautiful wife?”
you giggled, head leaning on his shoulder as he slowly caressed his way down to your ass, hand gently massaging over the clothed skin… before he suddenly slapped your ass, making you squeal in surprise.
“what the…? what’s wrong?!”, you asked him, heart racing in shock, voice rising a couple of octaves in surprise..
“mhm, nothing, dear. however, shouldn’t i be the one asking that question?”
you were absolutely confused about what was going on – you couldn’t remember a thing you possibly did wrong.
“so, what was going on with you and that trailblazer from the astral express, hm? dan heng, wasn’t it? you were quite close with him throughout their stay, dear”, he expressed his problem; finally it all clicked.
you just had tried to be a good host for your guests of the express; after all, they were the ones helping on xianzhou without asking anything in return. after the situation had been cleared, jing yuan had invited the trailblazers to stay over and rest properly before they would go on their way to continue on with their travels.
you just didn’t realize that you had been spending an awfully lot of time with dan heng, who shared some of his very detailed notes about previous travels he made with the express after you asked him for some. you had always been curious about the world outside of xianzhou and the fact that dan heng had such a detailed databank filled with notes and memoirs had you impressed.
they had left only yesterday so it kind of made sense why he only brought it up now.
“i was just trying to be a good host, jing yuan. that’s all, i promise”, you replied, “were you jealous?”
you couldn’t help the giggle, just finding it very adorable that a powerful man like jing yuan and your husband of many years still managed to find moments where he felt jealous and protective over you. only little did you know that he was planning on showing off who you really belong to, even if his so-called competition was already on another planet.
“what if i was, dear? isn’t it normal for me to be protective of my gorgeous wife? i have many enemies, darling, it’s an instinct of mine”, he chuckled before he lifted you up onto his desk, standing right between your legs which you instinctively wrapped around his waist and your arms around his neck.
you softly brushed a strand of hair out of his face. “i’m not saying anything against that. in fact, i find it endearing how you still can find situations to be jealous about me”, you giggled, pulling him down closer to you so that you could kiss him.
“mhm, yeah, sure”, jing yuan rolled his eyes.
it took you by absolute surprise when the general of the xianzhou luofu pinned you onto his desk, hands over your head and a confident smirk on his lips as he saw the shock in your face. “aww, dear, don’t be scared. it’s just me after all, it’s just your sweet husband. don’t you love it when i get rough with you, dear?”
“i hate it when you’re right”, you grumbled as a reply, “you could’ve been a bit gentler, though.”
“i thought i was more than enough gentle back when we had our honeymoon? thought you didn’t want me to be soft and careful with you any longer?”, he murmured into your ear, having you shiver in excitement for what was expecting you.
but it also had you worry about the other employees at the luofu; after all you hadn’t locked the door to avoid someone just barging in. and now jing yuan was initiating something that you would consider a very complicated situation to explain.
“don’t worry, dear. no one would even dare to come in without knocking. but doesn’t it sound enticing? the thought of someone seeing you how i horrible treat my lovely wife when i ravage her and make her feel good?”
your eyes fluttered shut, the image of him fucking you on his desk were all you were picturing now, how filthy his mouth had become over the years you two were together and married – not that you were complaining, not at all. nodding, you agreed to his suggestion.
“good girl”, he mumbled, placing a gentle kiss underneath your ear, a spot you always had been very sensitive about, before he slowly untied the knot that held your dress together and pulled it off your body and lowered his head to tease your body with his sweet and innocent pecks over your shivering skin.
“you are so beautiful, dear. i love you so much”, he praised you and stopped with his kisses as he reached your panties, standing back up to slowly as he pulled the fabric off your legs. “but don’t forget why we are in this situation in this moment. don’t think i have forgotten about the way you spent more time with that trailblazer than your husband.”
you couldn’t help rolling your eyes in annoyance, eyes widening as he suddenly grabbed your cheeks with just one hand, forcing you to look at him. “don’t give me that attitude, love. i don’t like how bratty you have become recently and i think it’s time i remind you who you belong to and who is in charge”, he snapped, no longer was he your dearest husband who’d treat you so sweet and like you were his most treasured possession (which you were, there was no doubt in that.)
no, now he was just the strict general of the xianzhou luofu who would not let you talk back to him in any way.
and for some reason, this visual of him being in absolute control was turning you on; quite a lot.
“mhm, dearest, you’re so ready for me already. have you been anticipating that i would initiate something?”, he chuckled, leaning back down without breaking eye contact as he softly started teasing you with his lips on your thighs, softly caressing them with soft pecks before he reached your entrance.
the moment his tongue was playing with your clit, you squeezed your eyes shut, moaning his name and grabbing a handful of his hair to pull him in closer; to have him do more than just teasing your sensitive bundle of nerves.
“ah, ah, ah. none of that, dear. don’t think that just because i’m feeling nice right now, you get to do that. hands off of me”, he said, voice authoritative and not allowing any sort of back talk.
you simply did not know what to do with your hands, now that you were forced to pull them off from his locks; usually he would allow you to touch him all you wanted. jing yuan knew that you loved being close to him whenever he would make you feel loved and cherished with his not-so-gentle actions; so not being able to touch him had you quivering around, which he – obviously – did not like either.
“dear me, you really are testing my patience today, are you not?”, he grunted, stopping with his mouth on your clit as he pinched your nipples, having you jolt in surprise. “do. not. move. or i swear to you, you will regret it. i might just go ahead and open that door for everyone to see what a pretty little slut you are for me. but you would like that, wouldn’t you, dear? you would love to let everyone see who the only man in your life is that can make you feel so good.”
before you could reply, you felt two of his fingers pushing inside; unable to hold the moan coming out of your throat with your eyes fluttering shut in pleasure. he was very fast to pick up a pace moving his fingers in and out of you, just as he was stimulating your clit with his other hand’s thumb.
“mhm, you’re already so ready to take me, aren’t you, sweetheart?”
you nodded, you were so light-headed that you were unable to reply with words as he would have preferred for you to but he didn’t say anything.
as he was curling his fingers inside, you whined, feeling yourself getting closer and closer to your release and the thoughts of someone watching him fucking you with his fingers had you even more excited.
“get up”, he suddenly stopped, keeping you so close on the edge and went a step back before he grabbed you by your hips and had you standing against his desk with wobbly legs. “turn around and hold onto the desk.”
once you did, he pinned you down onto the desk, your body shivering at how cold the wood was against your naked body.
unable to see him any longer, you didn’t know what was going to happen or when. you could only trust your hearing; and you could hear him unbuckle his belt and just after a couple of moments, you felt his tip teasing your entrance. the anticipation of when he was going to push in had you on the edge.
“look at you being to impatient for me to fuck you, dear. so adorable”, he mumbled, gently stroking your hair out of the way and with one swift thrust, he was buried deep inside of you. you almost let out a scream in shock, but it was muffled by his hand covering your mouth before he started setting a fast and hard rhythm, the hand unoccupied was holding onto your hips, as he fucked you, relentless.
“dear, you feel so good, so tight and warm around my cock”, he praised you, the hand on your hips suddenly off your body and you felt a stinging pain as he spanked you once more.
“but don’t forget that this is still a punishment. you didn’t, right, sweetheart?”
tears were burning in your eyes and you held yourself back not to let him win over you; doing your best not to let those tears roll down your face.
the way jing yuan was grinding his cock inside had you absolutely in a state of total bliss – body no longer responding to your brain wanting to piss him off even more. maybe that was for the better, after all. maybe he would just finally stop teasing you so much and finally reward you by giving you the sweet release you have been waiting for ever since the first time he spanked you.
“you’re getting impatient, aren’t you, baby?”, he asked, voice breathless and strained in exhaustion.
“mhm, no. i’m okay”, you attempted to piss him off, which was not met very happily by your husband. “feels good, though.”
“your body is telling a different story, dearest”, he groaned. “i can feel you clenching down on me whenever i try to pull out, i can see how you try to hold back those pretty tears of yours because you just feel so good, don’t you, honey?”
when his pace quickened, you couldn’t stop the moans coming out, neither could you stop the tears rolling down your tears as the stimulation got too much to bear. “aww, does my princess want to come?”
you could only nod vigorously, hands digging into the wood of his desk to steady yourself but it was no use – his rough and erratic thrusts were too much to handle.
“oh, sweetheart”, he cooed, “i’m going to come, i’m so close, so, so close.”
“fill me up. please”, you begged; the sudden want to give your husband the baby he wanted for quite some time now surfaced – you weren’t sure if you were ready for this or not before but for some reason, it suddenly felt right.
“are you sure, princess?”, he mumbled. “we don’t have to.”
“yes, for god’s sake, yes”, you cried, moving your hips against his as he slowed down. “fill me up with your cum, jing.”
“oh, sweetheart”, he groaned, feeling himself get closer to his release as his thrusts lost their rhythm, and with a long groan and a string of curses, he came inside of you, making you feel so warm and full with his cum, even making you come with a cry, body shaking vigorously and tears rolling down onto some of his documents that were just underneath your head.
“shh, it’s alright, sweetheart. you’re safe, you’re okay. you did so well for me, dear”, he comforted you, staying buried deep inside of you as he tried to calm down from his high.
“i”m so proud of you, dear. i’m sorry for acting so foolishly childish about dan heng. i obviously know that everything is fine between us, but for some reason, the situation was somewhat infuriating for me. i don’t understand it myself, if i’m being absolutely honest, but i will work on my jealousy, yes?”, he apologized, as he pulled you up from underneath him on your desk.
“it’s alright, jing. i’m okay”, you smiled as he grabbed your dress and put it back on you. “i love you.”
he smiled back at you before he suddenly yawned making you laugh.
“hey, this all is exhausting. i think we should both just head home and sleep”, he suggested with a grin as he tied your dress, grabbed your hand and pulled you out of his office, calling out for his secretary to clear out his schedule for the remaining day as he was now taking the day off.
you could only hear his secretary sighing in annoyance, shooting her an apologetic smile and pointing to her phone so that she knew to check her phone soon before you were pulled away by your husband to return to the safety of your own home to sleep – or maybe to finally try for that baby you finally agreed to.

Like Gravity
Pairing: Kafka x Himeko
Tags: Obsession, Obsessive Behavior, Desperation, Oral Sex, Choking, Vaginal Fingering, Bikinis
Summary:
When March 7th is left alone on the Express with Himeko, she notices she's not acting like her usual self. Could the mysterious Stellaron Hunter who visited them be the cause? When the girl gets to the bottom of it, the navigator is encouraged to pursue her desires.
Read on Ao3
The steady staccato of Himeko’s heel tapping the floor drove March insane. Originally, she had chalked it up to the navigator’s coffee addiction. She figured by now, surely the woman had built up a tolerance to the point where caffeine no longer even affected her.
No. That’s not it, she thought. From her plush cushion seat in the Express’ main cabin, she pretended to browse her phone as she stealthily observed her mentor. With Stelle, Dan Heng, and Mr. Yang out on a mission, it was her turn to take a breather.
Clearly, Himeko didn’t know the meaning of the word “break.” Ever since that Stellaron Hunter Kafka had entered the picture, something wasn’t right. Deep, dark bags marred her usually flawless face. She’d greet March like usual, yes, but it was mechanical - almost robotic. Now that it was just the two of them, there was no better time to figure out what the hells was wrong with her.
“Um…Himeko?”
The navigator didn’t budge.
“Earth to Himeko!”
She continued to nibble on the end of her pencil, lost in thought.
Ok, last resort time. “Whoa! I just got a news alert saying Kafka was spotted on the Radiant Feldspar!”
The chair Himeko was sitting in screeched as she immediately stood. “What?! Where? Who reported that?”
March looked back at her wide-eyed. “You’ve gotta be kidding me. Himeko, I’ve been calling your name for the last ten minutes, and that’s what got your attention?”
“I’m sorry…I’ve just…been absorbed in some research. You know how it is. Once you start, you don’t want to stop until you find an answer.”
The girl bounced off the couch and walked over. “Himeko. It’s just us here, so I need you to be honest with me. What are you researching, exactly?” As she attempted to peek at the screen of the laptop she had been working on, the woman slammed it shut.
“Um, just a complicated formula to enhance the speed at which the Astral Express makes a warp jump,” she said with a nervous grin.
The girl narrowed her eyes, and Himeko let out a sigh. “I’m terrible at lying when it comes to you, kid.” The sadness in her weak smile made March want to reach out and hug her.
“Himeko, just tell me what’s wrong. Maybe we can work it out together?”
“March…I…there’s something I need you to understand.”
“Of course. Whatever it is, I’m here for you. You’ve been so patient with me searching for my missing memories, it’s the least I could do.”
The navigator took a deep breath before proceeding. “That time Kafka appeared as a hologram here…wasn’t the first time I’d seen her. We have…history.”
She knew things were more complicated than they had appeared. The look on Himeko’s face as she had heard the Stellaron Hunter address her that time she had made an abrupt entrance on the train seemed tinged with familiarity.
“Okay…what kind of history?”
“We were partners at one point. Both in business and…the romantic sense. Before she became obsessed with sticking to a script.”
“Huh?”
The navigator’s eyes darted to the ground. “It’s not important. Not anymore, at least. I made my decision and she made hers.”
“Himeko, I’m sorry if this is out of line, but it’s clear to me you’re not over her. If the only thing that grabs your attention is the mere mention of her name…”
Suddenly the tension was broken by the pinging of the other woman’s phone. Her eyes snapped wide when she saw the notification. “March, you must have a sixth sense.” She flashed the screen at her and it turned out she had predicted the exact location Kafka had decided to appear.
————————————
The Stellaron Hunter knew it was only a matter of time. Having seen the announcement that the Radiant Feldspar was under new ownership, she couldn’t resist the temptation to draw Himeko out.
Kafka had always been the more…free-spirited of the two. Despite the show the crimson-haired woman put on for others, she knew she longed to be able to let down her guard. They had spent many a night together in bed, and the navigator had always clung to her as if she was afraid she’d evaporate into thin air.
There was a part of Kafka that reveled in it, being wanted so badly. Perhaps that was why she initially left. The thrill of being chased…leaving a trail of breadcrumbs she knew Himeko would pursue as if her life depended on it.
Lounging by the pool with a drink in her hand, all that remained was to play the waiting game. An hour or two ticked by, and then, like clockwork, her phone vibrated.
Room 403. Now.
Kafka chuckled to herself. Always so demanding. Let’s get you a bit more riled up, shall we? Tilting her phone camera at just the right angle, she snapped a shot of her bikini and hit send.
———————-
Himeko had to hold herself back from throwing her phone against the wall. She hated herself for doing this. Here she was, an intelligent, pragmatic woman who should be driven by logic, not her baser instincts. The second she received that text, she knew she was walking right into the spider’s web.
One, two, three. The signature pattern of knocks told her it was time. Don’t open it. Make her wait. If you let on how desperate you are, she’ll only turn it against you like she always does.
“Petty much? Guess I’ll just wait out here and give housekeeping a free show as they walk by…”
The lock clicked immediately.
“You didn’t even change? What the fuck is wrong with you?”
The Stellaron Hunter walked right past her and headed straight for the plush chair in the corner of the room.
“Didn’t feel like wasting a fresh look. Like it? Firefly picked it up for me on Penacony.”
Himeko kept her distance. “It’s a little hard to have an adult conversation when one of us is half-naked,” she said with a sneer.
“On the contrary. I think this makes having an adult conversation even simpler. We both know that by the end of this, neither of us will have any clothes on.”
The navigator rolled her eyes. “Oh, for Aeon’s sake. See, this is what I can’t fucking stand about you, Kafka. Can you take nothing seriously? I’m not here to play your stupid little mind games.”
“Funny. Certainly seems like you can never get enough of them. Why else would you speed across the galaxy at the mere mention of my whereabouts?”
Shit. Himeko opened her mouth in an attempt to argue but was interrupted before she had the chance.
“Let’s not waste either of our time, hmm? I know what you want, and you know what I want. The only difference is you want it much more desperately than I do.”
She swallowed hard as she tried to form the words to deny it. The only problem is she didn’t want to.
“Now that we’ve got that established…why don’t you show me how much you’re willing to work for it?”
The navigator narrowed her eyes in confusion. “I beg your pardon?”
“Let’s see how far you’re willing to go in the name of obsession.”
With a scoff, Himeko replied, “Obsession? You really do think highly of yourself, don’t you, Ms. Stellaron Hunter? Becoming an outlaw has certainly given you an inflated ego.”
Cocking her head to the side, Kafka chuckled. “Inflated ego? I’m only stating the obvious, darling. Will you let your pride be your downfall, or are you going to listen to me?”
She could try to fight it. But why would she when she knew very well why she had followed her here? Her desperation stemmed from a deep-seated desire to give up control.
“I’ll listen.”
“That’s my good girl.”
Himeko shivered at the term of endearment.
“Now…come here.”
After taking one slow step forward, the Stellaron Hunter stopped her. “Ah, ah, ah. Did I say walk? I want you on your hands and knees. Crawl to me like the good, obedient puppy I know you can be.”
The navigator’s cheeks turned a deep, dark red. Carefully she slid to the floor, the carpet tickling her hyper-sensitive skin. As she proceeded to move toward her, again Kafka chastised her.
“Can’t even maintain eye contact? Don’t be shy.” Her head snapped up to meet her lover’s intense gaze. With renewed confidence, she swayed her hips with purpose as she crept nearer.
“Much better. I love when you put on a show for me.” When she finally knelt before her, the Stellaron Hunter leaned forward and pulled her closer by her black and gold choker. Their faces mere inches from each other, Himeko couldn’t help but stare at her mouth in anticipation as she waited for her next command.
“Aw, are you waiting for a kiss? How sweet…and pathetic. I think I’d rather wait until I can taste myself on your lips. It’ll be your reward for a job well done. So…get to work. Don’t keep me waiting,” she ordered before releasing her.
The navigator moaned involuntarily at the suggestion. Positioning herself between Kafka’s spread legs, she placed soft kisses along her inner thigh. She could feel the other woman’s fingers tangling through her hair, silently coaxing her toward her end goal.
Slipping her bikini bottoms down her body and dropping them to the floor, she dove into her. Her tongue was practiced - every lick was calculated to bring shockwaves of pleasure coursing through the Stellaron Hunter’s body. The other woman groaned with approval at the feeling.
“That’s it…good girl…work that mouth like I know you can…” she ground out. Himeko could tell she was putting pressure on all the right places by the way the other woman’s nails dug into her scalp. A sense of pride swept over her as she continued relentlessly. Kafka cursed under her breath as she neared the brink.
“Fucking Aeons…Himeko!” She jerked upward and the navigator gripped her by the hips as she moved harder and faster to overstimulate her.
“E-enough!” The Stellaron Hunter said before yanking her up by her choker and smothering her mouth with her own. The sweet taste of her musk lingered on her lover’s lips, now bringing out her own desperation to ravish her in return.
The crimson-haired woman smirked smugly. “Now that it seems I’ve satisfied you, I believe you owe me for a job well done,” she whispered seductively.
“I suppose you’re not wrong.” Dragging her to the bed, she slammed her down on the mattress. Himeko let out a squeal of surprised arousal at her forcefulness. “But I’m still the one in charge here. Do as I say and you’ll get yours,” she muttered against the skin of her neck as she bruised her flesh with fierce kisses.
“Ahhh…yes…whatever you want…” she panted in response. The Stellaron Hunter swiftly divested her of her dress and then flipped her over.
“Lift that pretty little ass up toward me,” she demanded from behind her. She immediately obeyed and felt the tips Kafka’s fingers tracing her entrance. “You were wet before I even got here, weren’t you?”
The navigator’s whine told her everything she needed to know. “The fact the mere thought of me makes you this needy is so fucking hot. You’ll take me well, won’t you dear?”
“Yes…yes, please…I just need you inside of me…” she begged.
Grabbing her by the back of her choker, the Stellaron Hunter plunged into her fast and hard. Himeko cried out at the feeling of fullness she had wanted for so long. She bounced backward against her lover’s long, languid strokes, simultaneously wishing it would last forever yet pleading for release.
“I understand why your obsession drives you toward me wherever I am in the universe. You try so desperately to run from it, but what you and I have…it’s like gravity. It’s inevitable. Sooner or later, you’ll fall right back into my arms,” Kafka said, punctuating her words with the steady rhythm of her fingers. The navigator could feel her legs shaking, her body aching to betray her.
“K-Kafka…please…I’m tired of running…”
“Then give in…surrender to me…”
And that she did. Gripping the sheets beneath her as the full force of her orgasm hit her, Himeko let go of her inhibitions and allowed herself to just feel. In a rare show of affection, Kafka pulled her toward her as they both sunk into the bedding beneath them.
“I only told March where I was going.”
The other woman turned to her side to face her. “Hmm? That girl with the pink hair, right?”
“Yes. She’s deceptively perceptive. Saw right through me.”
“You’re kidding yourself if you think you’re that hard to read, Himmy.”
“I hate it when you call me that.”
“All the more reason for me to do so. Think she’ll be worried? You’ve been gone from the Express for quite some time.”
“No. Like I said…she’s perceptive. She’ll know I found what I was looking for.”

I have like very very specific feelings about Blade and Dan Heng’s dynamic/complicated situation and of course by extension the situation that occurred between Dan Feng and Yingxing and it’s like super particular, not in the way I think I’m objectively correct or fully indulging in fanon but a secret third thing. And the worst part is that I quite literally cannot for the life of me verbalize/write down my feelings and viewpoint to the full extent
They are just so complicated and full of so many tropes I love and it oof, it hurts very deeply. I like just reread the Passerby of Wandering Cloud relic set and I’m hmmm
I will say something as best as I can, I will never stop thinking about “Pairs of objects are destined for an eventual reunion.” In general that whole relic set wrecks me emotionally on a scale that I haven’t had since I read Stormbringer from BSD. They have such a complicated dynamic and I enjoy it so deeply, and see the thing is that they have such contradictory feelings that I don’t know the direction Hoyo will take it in but I am strapped in for the ride either way.
Also theres something like this fixation certain people have on separating the two and fixating on how they’re on their own paths AWAY from each other and I just,, I can’t understand that fixation because first off, even without talking about past selves, just talking about the current selves, the connection between them is extremely important when it comes to characterizing either of them. That is a significant part of their characters and where they currently are and a refusal to acknowledge that even without any shipper goggles confuses me. Additionally, as I brought up before, “Pairs of objects are destined for an eventual reunion” even as Blade and Dan Heng rather than Yingxing and Dan Feng, their paths are destined to cross. Given the earliness of the Xianzhou arc, heavily doubt this is any kind of “eventual reunion” as said by the relic seeing as its not like this is the first time they’ve met and those weren’t the this spoken of reunion. And additionally, I can’t help but think about Dan Heng specifically whether with knowing intent or not, carries multiple tokens of his past from the bracer itself to the jade pendant to literally Cloud Piercer. The weapon that makes him feel safe and yet he also has unfinished business with the creator
Speaking of that line, I’ve seen some people who think that he knows Blade made it. I personally heavily think he doesn’t know, given word choice to how he feels about it etc. But hmm I wonder if we’ll see what happens there. And that voiceline is just yet another thing hammering home how these two are destined to continue to have their paths intertwined.
And I’m trying to find the post again but I saw someone talking I think about the translations of the relic lore for that set and referring to the whole Pairs of objects line and they talked I think about how that statement is not meant to merely represent the actual objects but more so to represent Dan Heng and Blade themselves which may have been obvious from the start, but after reading that I felt like someone had expanded my mind and I can’t stop thinking about it, I can’t
Anyways anyways, I don’t think these two are by any means solely characterized by each other and they shouldn’t solely be seen as only existing in proximity to the other, but I don’t get people who for some reason hate the idea of them being connected in any manner bc of hating ships that they outright disregard and deny like key important parts of their canon. I mean people will do what they do and there’s no reason trying to put logic behind every single thing or whatever, but maybe that’s also just because I feel insane about their lore and again have this specific idea and view of them in my head. Maybe I’ll be able to put it into words better one day
Everything I ranted about arent even the full extent of my feelings about this particular topic regarding them. I just feel so specifically that I don’t know how to put it in words. If only sounds alone could convey my thoughts
Theres so much more I could rant about, so much more I could say but its like 4 am and I cant properly formulate thoughts without tangents starting in the middle of them
#they make me sick#i hate them#and yknow what#its the stuff i went over in this post why I will never be solely liking fengxing/xingyue#the connection between current blade and dan heng is just as interesting and heartbreaking to me as that gay shit yingxing and dan feng had#anyways imma try to sleep#im so tired#blade honkai#hsr blade#honkai star rail#hsr#dan heng#renheng#hengren

You took a scoop of water in a plastic cup and poured it over Luocha’s head slowly and carefully, making sure to repeat the process several times so as to soak every inch of his golden hair. After all of his hair was soaked in warm water you got out the nice shampoo you owned, rubbing your hands together a smidge before beginning to scrub his hair nice and good. You watched as his head leaned back, eyes closed and mouth curved in a satisfied smile as he hummed in pleasure. No matter how tiresome or frustrating the day, Luocha could always promise that the end of the day, where he got to come home to you, was always the perfect reward.
Taking your fingers you made sure to tangle and untangle them from his golden threads, all while studying Luocha with a smile on your face. This was also a reward for yourself in its own way. You made sure to scrub his scalp and clean the long strands of hair as well as you could before you moved onto washing his hair out, and then onto the conditioner. The air was still, yet comfortable, and the silence was comforting at the very least. Even after he broke the silence with a soft chuckle and a hushed hum for you to kiss him, the quietness thrummed loudly against your heart. It sang to you in a way that became uncalled for to even think about questioning why it felt so comfortable, because wasn’t it obvious? Wasn’t it obvious that the perfect moment was being had right before your very own eyes?
You smiled to yourself and said, “You have such beautiful hair, Luocha.”
He smiled and agreed with you, “That I do.” There was a brief silence, “But that’s only because a certain someone does such a good job at taking care of it.”
You giggled softly and thanked him. “You’re too kind, my love.”
Tilting his head backwards you kissed him gently, before going right back to lathering up his hair once again. The conditioning had to be your favorite part about washing his hair, because you got to feel all those tiny tangles smooth out into something more relaxed. You allowed the conditioner to soak as you began to lather up his body, another favorite of yours. Taking your time you smoothed your hands and the pads of your fingers across his body, humming a song familiar to the both of you as you let your body move on its own. Closing your eyes you washed him and allowed your hands to memorize the many bumps and dips of his body, never wanting the moment to end.
Rubbing his shoulders you let out a small sigh, smiling you reveled in this heavenly feeling. “Does this feel good?” You asked.
He nodded. “Absolutely.”
And so you continued, until it was time to wash out the conditioner from his hair. As you washed it out you periodically would massage his scalp, talking to him about his day and other mundane things as you did so. He told you of the things he did that day, what he planned the days after, and so on and so forth. Once the soap was finally out of his hair you turned his head to face you and kissed him gingerly, ushering him to get out as you dried him off with another kiss and a warm towel.
“Thank you.” He said as he carefully dried off his hair, wanting not to ruin all your hard work.
Once he was completely dressed he sat on the edge of your shared bed and waited patiently for you to brush out all his waves. Sitting behind him you’d gathered a ponytail, a brush, and some stray flowers you’d grown in your indoor garden. You started by slowly brushing his hair, cautiously so as to not yank on his hair or hurt him. He internally thanked you for this with each gentle touch you spared.
Taking a clump of hair you brushed it strand by strand, taking your time as you brushed out all the excess snarls and untamed hair. The both of you hummed in bliss, enjoying each other’s presence in comfortable silence. Pulling his hair back in a ponytail, finally you tightened it securely and kissed the back of his neck, tenderly and with love pooling from your lips. He let out a small whimper, one that was almost inaudible if you weren’t as close as you were to him, both physically and otherwise.
Then, taking the flowers you had set aside, you began to tuck them snugly in between the strands of his hair that was tightly pulled back. The flowers with the colors of lavender, pink, and a pale yellow, and it all contrasted perfectly with the blue ponytail he wore so wonderfully. You smiled and thought to yourself how stunning he was going to look once you were all done with him. Sure, he could’ve done this himself, but this was the least you could do for him and you didn’t mind one bit. Especially considering how much you enjoyed playing with his hair and letting your hands run through his silky threads.
One by one you added flowers until finally, there was a ring of flowers crowning his pulled up hair.
“All done.” You exclaimed happily, waiting for him to turn and face you so you could kiss him, slowly and fervently.
Bringing a mirror to his hands you watched as he studied your handiwork, how his soft smile turned into something beaming with confidence. “It’s stunning as always, thank you, my love.”
You wrapped yours around his waist from behind and nuzzled your head against his neck, humming as you pressed soft kisses along his neckline. “I love you, ya know.”
He smiled and positioned himself so he could pull you into his arms and onto his lap, holding your face carefully as he pressed his lips against yours gently. “And I love you, too, ya know?”
The both of you giggled as you showered each other in soft kisses and affection. Yeah, this is what heaven must be like, you told yourself.
