I am kinda bored by own royalty AU, I mean the story is good and I want to write it. But no offense to anyone, the Western royalty is Boring
Look at this
The flowing clothes, the jewelry, the dramatics, and you can't hear the BGM here, but it gives me goosebumps even if I think about it
I know this can't be completely replicated in writing but I keep scraping my scenes cause they don't have the flare I am used to
It's frustrating
#this is from Kalki 2898 Ad#like I am used to bahubali or bajirao mastani#or jodha akbar ki da royalty aesthetic#that doesn't come in west#sure it has its own flavours but not as good#writing#I learned to make gifs#royalty AU#my gifs

DAY 5992
Jalsa, Mumbai July 14/July 15, 2024 Sun/Mon 4:05 am
🪔 ,
July 14 .. birthday greetings to : Ef Shalini from Allahabad (now Prayagraj) .. Ef Manish Mehrotra .. and Ef Anupam Srivastava .. 🙏🏻❤️🚩
It is late .. but not without reason or cause .. spending time with loved ones at the Gate and then at home with family .. ever such a joy to a whole bunch of relatives busy interacting, running around the premises and simply enjoying the little pleasures of togetherness ..
And GOJ .. that has been an experience each Sunday .. the ramp on wheels I asked to move closer to the well wishers .. and the mobility towards them is an excitement always .. you hear them better , you feel the expressive love better , you give those a chance to see and be greeted that at times stand at a distance and never seen ..
So the ramp has added the mobility much needed .. personal and public meets are restricted .. but some of the inevitable are complied with ..
... and the joy expressed in their eyes and faces remains with you for days .. despite the much opinionated fear often felt of appearing at the GOJ to meet them ..
At times the personal contact in the days after covid has been there but distant and this has been a point of immense disappointment with those that express a wish to meet ..
BUT .. dearest ones , give me time to get clearances fro the Medical Unit and I shall be able .. soon , if not too far ..
The years of yore ;
and the reel in the making :
There has been a suggestion to read a script given for production .. and one that relied on nthe values of theosophy and the occult ..
A most fascinating read in a precise rendering, but influential enough to set a vacant mind into a thought process, that keeps a consistent 'knock on the door' to turn away and change path for its search .. the search of humanity in the realisation of its birth and thereafter .. Dear O dear there is so much to learn and imbibe .. and time slips away as rapidly as it possibly can .. to hold it and refrain it from immediate travel ahead is well nigh impossible .. the movements of the Earth can never .. so we live a life of unanswered questions and beliefs and the presence of religion and more ..
A most fascinating subject .. and in many ways getting inspired by a movie !!!
AND the film, has many significant stories, hidden or brought about in a form KALKI 2898 AD .. which I must admit has been instrumental in its viewing 4 times .. at the iMax theatre .. which has the capacity of a perfect imagery on screen along with a quality of sound that seems to have been installed after considerable understanding and layout ..
SO back to the GOJ : and the giving out in equal distribution, umbrellas, to them that have stood there for some, bearing the heat and cold and the thunder and lightening of monsoon rain .. the umbrella, a gift from that very sincere well wisher Sunil Shah, from Surat Gujarat , who just does not attempt to stay calm and controlled , but instead continues to send these gifts as a token of his sincerity and love ..
I applaud the gestures he has made all these years .. his affection and love over brimming and so potent .. it just does not behove a telling off for him .. his mode of affection does not change ..
I am honoured and humbled by these intricate gestures, of love .. but really, they are a bit distressing and unreasonable for me in my countenance ..
I speak to him on this often , but he is adamant on his affection and just cannot stop these gestures 'in multiples'
I talk to him to be in control and not cause or give an unnecessary reason of disrespect .. but he just continues ..
So I accept .. and distribute them to the needy that spend their valuable time on a Sunday for the GOJ .. healthy and in all sincerity a show of immense affection !!
AND now for the Sunday and days .. :
... and the creative autograph hunters , their immense love to be in a photograph , but there are restrictions on health .. so we bear the loss of the occasion , walk away and sit and reminisce ...

In the spirit of Kalki 2898 AD trailer release, Bhairava and Deva (from Salaar) are so different: The himbo sunshine 😉 and the broody emo😑
Imagine Deva and Bhairava enter a bar together. Bhairava is broke as usual and Deva is a tightly closed rusty book.
Bhairava: Bro, I have no money for beer😔
Deva stays silent
Bhairava: Do you have any money?🥺
Deva stays broody and uncaring
Bhairava: How about this? I will steal from the bar😏 Can you at least watch out for me🙄?
Deva gives him a slight nod
Bhairava steals one beer😶🤫
Deva glares at him😠
Bhairava steals two beers🫣 and runs out of the bar🏃♂️
As Deva walks out the bar, he hands money for the two beers to the bartender🤭

Kalki 2898 AD thoughts (spoiler-filled and long af)
Ok so.... I watched it in Telugu, and 3D. 3D wasn't that special methinks cz only the huge jaguar jumping scene in the start got me. Nothing much 3D-wise.
Now, watching it in Telugu........... Um... Even the dubbing sounds like wonky Telugu and I didn't like that.
Time for points I liked and didn't like--
Liked:
1. The idea of that world: how Kaasi is the first city and now the last city of this Yuga. Priyanka Dutt really headed a dedicated team. I loved the tarot scene because it reminded me of Godavari and made me want a Shekhar Kammula cameo too👀😭
2. I liked how the Vyjayanti logo took us into the world. And the whole premise it started off on. Love the Pareekshit and Ashwathhama Athah...! Kunjarah premise references
3. Loved how the Shiva Linga Ashwathama is meditating near is most likely The Kaasi Viswanath Lingam
4. The CGI with Mr. Amitabh Bachhan
5. Bujji. Unpop opinion maybe, but I liked Bujji more than Bhairava. Was I the only one who wanted Bujji to be the genderbent preserved consciousness of Bujjigaadu (Bujjigaadu: Made in Chennai reference 🤭)
6. How the flames give way to the bearer of Kalki avataram while just a Yuga before, the sea gave way to Vasudeva - the carrier of Krishna avataram. Nice nice. Probably the thing I liked most about this movie.
7. The cameos (will talk about this later)
8. The scale of the vision.... HATS OFF. I want into that man's head istg. All 3 movies: Yevade Subramanyam, Mahanati and now Kalki 2898 AD are three distinct visions and superb visions. I'd love to even see all the concept art for this movie!!!!
9. Call me silly but APRIL ONE VIDUDALA REUNION!!!! (iykyk)
Didn't like (hyper spoilers ahead):
1. Bhairava's character needs more depth. A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL PROLLY TEASE ME/ DISAGREE WITH ME ON THIS POINT. But he does. He's shown as a selfish mercenary whose aim is to settle in the Complex. (I have dreams like you no really a little less touchy feely. But they mainly happen where it's warm and sunny. On an island that I own tanned and rested and alone surrounded by enormous piles of money). He's got debts all over Kaasi and he uses all his money for things like building Bujji and automobiles and thrusters and stuff. But what makes him tick (other than scratching Bujji who he abandons half the time)? What is he scared of? I feel like it would have worked better if Bhairava didn't go to the Complex at all and was banned from it. It gives his hope to see the Complex a touch of whimsy and desperation.
2. Disha Patani's character. The story just forgets about her after the party song which is the most pointless song of the movie btw. I feel like even Nag Ashwin didn't want it there on first thought.
3. SRI KRISHNA DID NOT REMOVE ASHWATHHAMA'S MANI!!!! It was Arjuna who did it as far as I know. After causing the death of Abhimanyu and fellow warriors and family members by unfairly means, Ashwathama almost faced the wrath of Bheema after being dragged to the Pandavas' tents However, Krishna couldn't let the Pandavas commit a sin to revenge a sin. He said, though Ashwathama caused the death of unarmed unaware Kshatriyas, he himself is a Brahmin by birth and thus killing him would be an unforgivable sin. Therefore, completely cutting his hair and taking his mani would be comparable to death. So it was Arjuna who took out the mani on Sir Krishna's advice. (As far as I read and heard from pravachans since my childhood) I disliked how the story started with this inaccuracy and it took me out of the flow. Or maybe Nag Ashwin wanted to change this part of the story to include the curse and pave the story's base? Dk
4. The fights never stop (not in the good way): Bhairava's first fight was SO. LONG. Actually, Bhairava's every fight was so long. Most unnecessarily so. His fights with Ashwathama go on for so long I actually started wondering why the all powerful giant hadn't killed our hero. I'm mean, I know, but I get annoyed by such drags.
5. Late emotional connect: Mrunal Thakur's character dying didn't even pinch. Because I had no emotional connect to even feel the horror of what had happened. But yes, I did cry when Rajendra Prasad's character died soon after bcz that meant the death of the one character who spoke the best Telugu in the movie.
6. As I mentioned, I watched the Telugu version and was disappointed by the lack of diction, even in the dubbing!😭
7. The main point: Almost every scene reminded me of a different movie. A lot of people keep saying it's Dune + Star Wars but here, all I've got to mention -> Loki morphing into many Lokis, Sakaar's neck electrocution thingy (EXACT SAME), Troy: Legacy and Aagardian vehicles with the flying vehicles of that 5000 units bounty hunter. Coco wrt to the city's inner infrastructure (resembles the city in the afterlife, except make it sepia tone). Star Wars with the jedi light saber that Bhairava's dad teaches him to use. Bujji = JARVIS without the English politeness. Prince of Persia: sands of time and John Carter wrt the setting and vibes of the outdoor fight sequences. Mariamma's light rope handles??? From Iron man 2 as well as Wonder Woman. When Sumati imagines everyone dead at her feet it gives Tony from Age of Ultron. The Complex looks a lot like the Singing kingdom from The Marvels. There was an episode of Nebula in Marvel's What If? Animated series -> the concept of the complex or dystopia and the bar seems a lot like it.
8. Ashwathama and Karna weren't friends per the Mahabharatam. "Ashwa uncle" keeps calling Karna "sodara" (pure telugu word for brother) and not "mitrama" (pure telugu word for friend/ally) and it sort of irks me. Also, I think Sri Krishna's voice could have been sweeter (the pitch, Krishna could melt mountains with his voice. Here Krishna's voice sounded something like what we could match to Balarama)
Ok done with that.
Now, cameos..... I mean it's a Nag Ashwin movie and I went in expecting cameos after my experience with Mahanati tbh.
Ones I liked: Malvika Nair as Uttara (that was how I had imagined Shakuntala to look like in Shaakuntalam btw), DQ as Captain/Pilot, Brahmi garu as the fed up landlord, Avasarala Srinivas as gambler (missed him in Mahanati), RGV as the food vendor, Rajendra Prasad bcz the man speaks the best Telugu in this movie (as I mentioned before)
Ones I found Meh: Mrunal Thakur as the pregnant lady (only bcz there was no emotional connect, didn't know anything abt her character except that she's pregnant), Faria Abdullah as the showpiece-angel-dancer??, Disha Patani
Ones I wanted to question: Vijay Devarakonda as Arjuna (like........... I feel like Rana would have been the perfect Arjuna despite that opinion originating from his KVJG days. But maybe Tarak? Maybe you could have CGI-ed NTR sr and reminded us of Nartanasala!!) I have nothing against Vijay Devarakonda, but he just didn't fittttt
Overall: a beautiful effort and a mindblowing idea but the lagging screenplay, some music choices and slight misinformation reduces its impact. Liked it and would recommend bcz this is all people would be talking about and you wouldn't want to stay uninformed on a global phenomenon.

Day 27/100 days of Productivity
24th August, 2024
Academia
English literature:
I'm studying literary devices because I have a test tomorrow. Mostly using the playlist of lectures my teacher provided and also chatgpt. I have a book, which I'm hoping to read tomorrow before the test.
Neet:
I am studying Chemical Bonding and doing a revision of the short notes of Biology.
Languages:
×
Music/dance:
I practiced the hoshi's maestro footwork, I'm halfway through it, but I've only mastered the first step well.
× no music practice
Non Academia
Watched Kalki 2898 AD. It was fun, the storyline was very interesting and of course, there will be more parts to it. But this one was boring. I'm not a big fan of action and the story really was only in half of the picture. The movie was 3 hours long but only 1.5 hours of it was really fun.
I recently joined a local academy, ASSI, it's very niche but I heard its good. It caters to individual needs, it's mainly self improvement academy but there's somebody that telling you what to do. I joined it because I had nothing much to do this year and I wanted to improve myself holistically. So here we are. Also I went to a trip to Jaipur with my cousins, I'm so excited! ✨

Sooooo, I just managed to watch the whole of Kalki-2898AD in one sitting today.
And what a masterpiece!!!!!
I know that reviews about the movie have been mixed, (Arshad Warsi, eyes on you, man👀👀👀) but amongst the abundant comedic relief, were to me atleast, many buried little Easter eggs and clues that only someone with a knowledge of the Mahabharata, and someone willing to look with a more thoughtful eye will catch!
Bhairava's whole characterisation is the single most largest example of this! After Ashwathama's first little flashback, the suspicion of Bhairava being Karna began to itch at me, because who else could be a greater warrior than Arjuna on the field of the Kurukshetra battle?
The first similarity I found was this.... The way Bhairava has spent a large portion of his life trying to enter an elite society simply because he believes that the circumstances he was born to are not the determiners of his capacity. The way he almost KNOWS in his heart, that he has a fate larger than this coming for him, yet blinds himself into believing that it is life at the Complex! The first mistake that Karna committed in his life is the same. His first step into adharma, was brought about by his desire to be considered equal amongst the Kshatriya warriors of the Kuru clan. To not be limited by the circumstances of his birth or upbringing as the son of a sarathi....
The second clue to me, was his attachment to Bujji!!! This one is less of a parallel, and more of an indirect clue as to the background Bhairava might have, though. Karna was the son of a charioteer, who was expected to be one too, and strongly disliked the idea of being forced to be one when his interests lay in becoming a warrior that people spoke of even eons later. And at the end of the epic war, it is his chariot again, and the kshatriya king Shalya as his charioteer that pave the way to his death! The first time Ashwathama hurls Bujji and Bhairava loses yet again, this was straight where my mind went.
Then, there are the more subtle character nuances. Karna in his time, was considered a warrior second to none, and yet people often only acknowledged him as an equal to Arjuna. And in one modern iteration of the Mahabharata that I'm not sure where I read it, Krishna says that while Arjuna competes with himself, looking only to better himself, Karna strives to be better than Arjuna. And in that, he holds himself back to Arjuna's level. A clear sign of a hyper competitive person, is that not? And the first time we see any sort of a serious don't mess with me attitude from Bhairava, is when he is losing. When he has lost. And so goes his patience with the wind, his need to be undefeated, to WIN leading him to his following chaotic course of action...
And finally, the centrepoint of Karna's story, his Identity.... Karna's whole story, his cause and consequence, his curse and his many boons, are the result of his birth, and the way it was hidden from him. Bhairava too, seems to have an origin story that he either does not know, or does not remember, instead covering it up with comedic relief sob stories (according to Bujji, not me!!!) of adoption and a Captain father, which Dulquer was sooooooooo cute in his 10 minutes of screentime! Does Bhairava have a Radha too, who brought him up as a bosom son and he refuses to give up her memory to anyone? Why at the end of the movie did he lose recollection of the climactic fight? Has he been cursed with forgetfulness and therefore does not remember the legends of his own story?
Overall Kalki 2898 AD, to those watching with an open mind and a thoughtful eye, is a minefield of curious parallels, and a reversed good vs evil that with more detail from part 2, could make for a blockbuster winning combination!!!!
PS The way he looks at Sumathi/Deepika before picking her up in his arms was so 🤯🥵🤤... And is the baby somehow his and not a result of Project K? Because I do remember Sum-80 saying she was negative after the last attempt at seeding. Curiously endless possibilities!!!!!

Bestie pls explain the plot of Kalki 2898 AD to me I'm dying to know 😭😭
Ok soooo.... Also sorry if this is too long cuz I'm getting as much as details I can possibly remember. Chhote se chhota detail.. and also I'll try to be as neutral as possible but don't mind if some of my own judgements starts to face...
Also I watched the hindi dub so if I quote any dialogues they'll be hindi...
SOILER ALERT FOR EVERYONE ELSE and some tw
To start with,
At first we're shown Uttara, then the Mahabharat scenes (which I had actually missed cuz I entered the hall just in time to see Krishna entering the screen...) of (face less) Krishna cornering A.B's Ashwatthama and cursing him... Then telling to wait for Kalki to come.
Now,
There's this dystopia/post apocalyptic kinda setting and the only remaining city is Kashi. And in Kashi, there's this high society thing called Complex. That's like the only building with everything good in it, because they basically take everything and put in there, and baki sab bahar gareebi mein ji rha hai.
On the first scene we're introduced to this young *boy* and *boy*'s brother traveling with some other people from their village to settle in Kashi, and a young girl was really ill and her most probably big brother or father starts asking for some water as she starts coughing very badly. And this old sus looking man, offers some because no one else did (might be because they didn't even have water with them...)
So now young *boy* and *boy*'s curious brother (who's a lil piece of shit I tell you in advance) ask sus grandpa what he's doing there, and they have a small conversation where *boy* says “yeah Kashi the last remaining city” and grandpa says “na Kashi the first ever city”. Then gramps asks *boy* 'if they are brother and sister?' to which *boy* gets offended and just goes of with usual 'dikhta nahi hai kya' and stuff... To which grandpa just nods and looks outside the vehicle (which looks like a literal cage) and says “hum sab ka paap dhote dhote sukh gayi kya maa...”
Next scene they have arrived in Kashi.
And some... I'd call them thugs typa people, who 'unofficially' work for the complex because if you hand over the bounty(s) and/or women that are “fertile” you will be rewarded units and if you have collected an amount of units you can go and stay at the Complex which in this world, given the situations is nothing less than reaching heavens...
So now this thugs are separating the males and the females without telling the newcomers why they are doing that... And they starts to use some device which they hold against everyone's lower abdomen area and if it goes red they're male thus the thugs leave them alone. But if it's green it means they are female and they are taken.
The young ill girl from earlier was kind of hidden by her gaurdian, but when they put that device near her and started to pull her to take her with them and gaurdian guy basically starts begging them to not take her.
The leader thug explains why they want to take the women as it will give them a lot of units. So now lil shit brother says he'll give them a girl and starts to piont where *boy* was standing, and it's revealed the boy was actually a girl named Raya, who was just under the guise of being a boy.
Now a fight breaks out between sus grandpa and thugs where it is further revealed grandpa is one of the “rebels” who are the only ones to know where Shambhala is and stay there, waiting for Kalki.
In this fight some of the other rebels also join in and we see another woman (Mrunal Thakur) hiding who nearly got caught by the thugs. Grandpa saves her and kind of temporarily hides under the tunnels, where we see get to see the “rebels”.
They bring out the hologram call device to make grandpa communicate with another party of “rebels” consisting of an grumpy middle aged man Veeran, an equally grumpy guy (whose name I forgot) and a sunshine girl Kyra. Who tells grandpa that Mariem is waiting for him and connects the call with this lady called Mariem, who's in Shambhala. They give Raya a gemstone to keep.
Grandpa and her were conversing about grandpa returning to Shambala, when the thugs again attack them and capture him and Mrunal.
They are showed infront of this general kinda guy (Saswata Chatterjee) I forgot his name... Who basically tells grandpa to either give Mrunal to him or reveal where's Shambhala. Grandpa refuses but gets pressurized, but even Mrunal tells grandpa to not tell general guy anything saying she doesn't want her child to be born in such a shitty world. So General guy kills both Mrunal and Grandpa infront of everyone.
And spots the other rebels who had manages to run away earlier and sends the thugs and his own men after them.
One of the rebels gets cornered by the thug leader and his paltan because he now has a large sum of bounty on his head.
Where we are introduced to this A.I vehicle called Bujji who basically claims that rebel guy for herself and her master, a bounty hunter who works for non sides. For whom she kinda does a big ahh intro, only for that guy to be a complete lazy idiot. Now Bhairava (Prabhas' character) after a lot of cliche not gonna fight serious-fight serious drama later manages to make the thugs go away... Atleast for now.
Bhairava becomes kind of a hero for the rebel guy, who starts innocently wow-ing over him and asks him to join the rebels.
Bhairava refuses and tells he's trying to get inside the Compound for a very long time and is collecting the units, and will hand over rebel guy (but he doesn't and just keeps him handcuffed to where he stays on rent)
Now scene changes and we are shown the insides of the Complex and the women that are held captive over there.
Experiments are done on them to see who could get pregnant. Those who gets are given good food and facilities to stay, but they do not let the babies get born. Because they are basically getting the womens pregnant to keep the embryo for atleast 100 days and then they will extract it in a form of a “Serum” for the main boss Supreme Yaskin (which is just Kali)
But nobody is able to survive more than 3 months so whenever they try to extract the “Serum” at the maximum days (which is still less than 100) everyone just dies..
Now, the “unfertile” women who couldn't get pregnant, maybe because of some failed experiments or so... Are kept as kind of slaves who don't get nice food and just helps around the pregnant womens...
And we get to know one of them (Deepika's character) from up close. She helps one of the pregnant ladies, who warns her that being pregnant over there is not a nice experience...
(call me a failure every time I say the word pregnant...)
Now general guy comes and kind of yells on some of the scientists saying 'The Supreme' has called him that day to update on the ‘Project K’'s “Serum” but as we know nobody was/is able to survive the entire time period, and the highest days are by far is just 80. That's the woman Deepika's character was helping.
So they starts doing the extraction process on her and she dies...
NOW, we get to know that Deepika's character – SUM 80 is actually pregnant... That also for MORE THAT 5 MONTHS! which is ofcourse beyond anyone have survived till now... Indicating that child in the womb is ofcourse special... And we understand that's Kalki. But she's just hiding it well under her long black clothes...
On the meantime we're introduced to another character named 'Professor' Bani, who's like the right hand man of Yaskin. He takes general guy and scientist dude (who wanted to meet Yaskin himself to clear his doubts about ‘Project K’ himself.. because not even general guy knows wtf is ‘Project K’) to where Yaskin is.
Yaskin is in some kind of globe type place with water on the floor and he's just dangling in the air doing something like meditation and stuff..
Basically what happens is scientist was kind of a good guy and gets killed by Yaskin because he tried to attack him..
Now back to SUM 80, another one of the girls snitch on her after knowing she's pregnant, to a guard who had previously threatened to assault SUM 80...
And the scientists take her extract the “Serum” but only one drop was extracted when we get to know that snitch girl – Lily is actually a rebel undercover who now destroyed the wires to save pregnant SUM 80, cuz it was just too brutal for her.
So Lily sacrifices her life and makes an way to let SUM 80 escape.. she had also called for that previous rebel party let by grumpy Veeran to take SUM 80 away from there..
But there was a fire before the main escape so, somehow mysteriously SUM 80 escapes the fire but the guards trying to catch her become crisps..
Veeran and his team takes in a scared SUM 80 in their ship to take her to Shambhala, as instructed by Mariem. Because everyone (Shambhala peoples and rebels) kinda knows now that that's Kalki in her womb.
.
ALSO now SUM 80 has the biggest bounty on her head... So yeah ofcourse Bhairava and the other thugs are gonna try to catch her (seperately ofcourse..)
*I didn't tell this before because it wasn't really important but Bhairava tried to break in the Complex with his friend Roxie (Disha Patani's character who's in love with Bhairava) who works there. But he was thrown away so now he wants to get inside even more...
.
Kyra becomes super excited and starts to chatter with SUM 80, who she kindly gives a name Sumati (sounding like SUM 80) after knowing she never had a name..
We get to know Kyra and that other grumpy guy are engaged and are planning to get married once they get back to Shambhala..
But right then, they are attacked by the thugs with who while fighting unfortunately Kyra dies... And like dies in the way they can't even retrieve her body back... cuz she falls down the ship and they can't stop at anything..
And when they are again trying to run, another person gets introduced...
So remember Raya? While she was being chased by the Complex gaurds earlier, she runs a little outside Kashi. But before she could get caught she falls and hides inside a temple. There when the guards tried to find and take her, a big guy suddenly gets somewhat like awakened and takes the gemstone from Raya and puts it on his forehead.
And then Ashwatthama basically beats the shit out of everyone and saves Raya, with whom he has communication problems and language gap of over 6000 years...
Back to rebels and Sumati, when Bhairava tried to kidnap her. That was the moment ‘Ashwa uncle’ as Raya calls him, comes and both of them had a big 1 on 1 fight moment... Ofcourse after Ashwatthama beats up the gaurds and thugs.. to protect Sumati. (Because that's his purpose now as Krishna told him after cursing him back then)
This is Bhairava vs an 8 feet tall 6000 something year old guy who has fought in Mahabharat ka yudh...
But surprisingly Bhairava gave a nice challenge, he lost though..
The weapon we see Ashwatthama fighting with is somewhat a – tall similar to his height – danda.
*Another scene we see, is of that Bani guy with some fellow gaurds discovering an Dhanush in the middle of nowhere, which neither any human nor machine was able to touch... So he somehow takes with him to his office (we're never shown how)*
Now leaving behind, a defeated Bhairava, Kyra and her memories along with the young couple's dream of a future together... Veeran, Sumati, Raya and Ashwatthama reaches Shambhala.
Where Mariem welcomes them and tells Sumati that they have been waiting for her – Maa – for so so long... A person tries to protest that Sumati cannot be Maa. But at that exact moment we see it raining after A VERY long period of time.
*simultaneously in Kashi, Bhairava while fighting some thugs (after he was forever banned from the Compound because thug leaders blammed him for Sumati's escape..) catches one of the old mandir's Rath's paiya structure that was falling down because of thunder striking it. While an old man who have a Kaal Bhairav murti with him... Says some dialogue about him remember the murti with him was Kaal Bhairav the protector of Kashi..*
So now everyone accepted that Sumati is Maa, and takes care of her and tells her how her child is supposed to save the world.. she at first gets scared but after Ashwatthama explains everything she listens and stays hidden inside a BIG tree with him...
Now we get to know that Danda is actually Karna's Vijaya Dhanush (idk man I think I made a mistake with the time and scenes but whatever)
*We're basically over her shown another flashback of Raya asking Ashwa uncle if he was the strongest warrior in Kurukshetra... And him saying “Karna was the strongest” *
With a flashback of Arjun (Vijay Deverakonda) basically dishing Karna (in an arrogant way nontheless) and Krishna saying to reconsider his words as Karna was better.... And he was only winning because he has Rath given by Agnidev, Pavan putra Hanuman on his flag and all...
(I personally found that very illogical and very wrong and have been yelling about that since... Even on Tumblr)
So now we go back to Bhairava, who we get to know made a deal would bring back both Sumati and Ashwatthama, as he was the only one who was able to fight him, in exchange of getting inside the Compound.
He spends all his unit repairing his vehicle and A.I Bujji (which was crumpled by Ashwatthama) and tricking that rebel fanguy he had captured into believing he's finally siding with the rebels and to take him to Shambhala..
But once inside Shambhala, Bhairava basically beats up everybody and tries to reach Sumati again, resulting in another fight between Ashwatthama and him.
Here, that general guy is called upon by Bani and informed of the Dhanush they have found. Bani tells him that how that Dhanush was made by Srishtikarta Bhrahmadev himself and given to Arjun. He tells how nobody was able to touch the Gandiva.
General guy refused to believe in the theory of Kalki is coming but Bani insists... With proves like Ashwatthama, the rain and all.
Back at Shambhala, before anything can settle... General had already found the place and attacked resulting in a full blown fight between both parties, where he kills Mariem.
While everyone is busy fighting eachother Bhairava and Ashwatthama were still going at eachother but now with Sumati almost caught Ashwatthama is forced to save her. Which doesn't really go well, as Bhairava continues being a little bitch and keeps on attacking Ashwatthama...
At a point of time, when Sumati was about to fall down from a bridge, Bhairava finally lends an hand and pulls her up.
And we are shown another scene of the Vijaya Dhanush now danda going to Bhairava's hand and him defending Ashwatthama who was on a verge of attack, and saying something like “aane mein der to nahi huya na Acharya putra?” with another flashback of Mahabharat with same to same dialogue against Arjun-Krishna and a fallen on the ground Ashwatthama..
(I actually forgot how exactly these entire scene played out... Forgive me)
Then Bhairava basically kills the general by throwing Vijaya Dhanush so hard on him it impaled him and made him fall down from his flying vehicle..
But just then he's back to being Bhairava, out of his Karna fever and again forcefully takes Sumati with him on his own Vehicle and leaves Shambhala burning behind as Sumati keeps begging him not to take her to the Complex.
All while an helpless Ashwatthama stands there starring and Raya comes from behind to join him...
Now as the last scene (not post credit because it's shown before post credit) we see Bani giving Yaskin that one drop of “Serum” they were able to extract from Sumati's womb and him injecting that in himself and becoming more strong... Kyuki pehle wo thoda bohot Voldemort jaisa dikh rha tha.. ab ganja Thanos lag rha hai
And him picking up... Gandiva... Yeah... Gandiva...
Lo I explained it hehe also sorry if it is not clearly explained

One good and one bad about Kalki 2898 AD
[SPOILERS]
The Good: Even if the movie has some flaws, over all, the concept and execution did really, really good! I am thoroughly invested in this cinematic universe. I got goosebumps every time they showed the Mahabharat scenes, and Ashwathama was just...awesome. Amitabh Bachchan did great. He, to me, overshadowed everyone else. And whoever played the role of Krishna. I only heard your voice and watched you silhouette but I am already impressed. I would like to see more. Deepika was also good as Sumati. My favourite thing about this film is the imagery, it was beautiful. CGI was fine, man. It's fine. They did good.
The Bad: They need to hire some good editors, man!! How did they make Prabhas the worst part of the film?! He is a charming star. Just write and direct him better. The fight scenes with him could have been easily made half the length. Just make the film more crisp. MORE CRISP EDITING. Less focus on the star power and more focus on the story overall. The only time I was interested in his scenes was when he fought Ashwathama and when, I think he was "possessed" by Karn's spirit (?)...I am not sure.
I am very excited for the sequels. It's gonna be awesome. Fingers crossed they stay away from any useless romance between Bhairava and Sumati, PLEASE. DO NOT. I want more of this world building, I want more of Ashwathama, Yaskin, Sumati, and hopefully, more Krishna. I want more action and character drama. Bhairava... hopefully, he will be better written and better EDITED in the sequels.

Why on earth always my favourite shows get screwed up every time?? Why??
So, if you haven't noticed as of yet already or even don't know what has happened, then after reading the below article, you will realise why I have put this question as a Title.
I cannot believe that, this is frequently happening to this very day.
So, one of the concept artist of Star Trek: Prodigy, Oliver Beck, just claimed that his artwork, which was shown in the S1E10, "A Moral Star: Part 2", was stolen by the makers of the upcoming Bollywood movie, 'Kalki 2898 AD', Vyjayanthi Movies, for their logo in the Trailer of the movie. This was happened after South Korean Artist, Sung Choi, claimed that his artwork was also stolen in the trailer, without their permissions or Giving them the credits.
Like, Seriously!! This Screwing up of ST: Prodigy is just unbearable. Like, C'mon!! First, The Money Mafias, just forced to cancel and wipe ST: Prodigy out of existence, until Netflix Saved it. Then, Lucasfilms and Disney, stole the plot of Star Trek: Prodigy into their upcoming Star Wars animated series, Skeleton Crew, and now This Art Theft by the upcoming Indian Movie!! They are thinking like, 'Star Trek: Prodigy' is no longer a Thing anymore rather than an open-source material, after what Nickelodeon and Paramount Canceled and tried to remove it.
And I am really sorry as an Indian Person. Because, ST: Prodigy don't deserve this to be like screwed up everytime. Bollywood has a history of stealing things that they stole and no one behind the scenes gives any credits to the original artists they stole from. Sometimes, I feel ashamed that this had happened. As I support Originality, I think it has to be said rather than just not tell anyone to obscurity. While I am insanely proud of my fellow Indian artists at Mikros Animation in Bangalore, who are involved in ST: Prodigy, I am equally ashamed that this happened. Also, the Emmy-award winning Art director of ST: Prodigy, Alessandro Taini, worked as a Concept Artist for Bollywood film, "Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva". If he knows what happens on Bollywood behind the scenes in reality, then he would be discouraged altogether. There should be a Global Law about Art Theft and Copyrights. Seriously!!
ST: Prodigy, as well as other good quality animated shows and movies, should not deserve to get art-theft like that.
And to Oliver Beck, and Sung Choi, on behalf of Indians, I am really really Sorry that this happened.
I hope that somehow, things will change for the better. I will try to contact Hageman Brothers and @aaronwaltke as well about this incident happened recently.
But this is the harsh reality of Animation as an Artistic Media we live in, ladies and gentlemen.
And I have nothing to say more.
So, I will see you on 1st July when S2 releases on Netflix. I am trying to renew Netflix ASAP. So, wish me luck.
#star trek prodigy#animation#star trek#animation fans#animation fandom#animated kids show#nickelodeon#television#netflix#art theft#Screw art theft#Animation should be respected.

DAY 5982
Jalsa, Mumbai July 4/July 5, 2024 Thu/Fri 10:52 am
Birthday .. Ef Sweta Prasad .. July 5, 2024 .. all our good wishes and love ❤️
🪔 ,
July 05 .. birthday greetings to Ef Shashikant Pedwal from Pune .. and Rajat Watel from Jammu .. 🙏🏻❤️🚩
.. a 3rd viewing for me and twice for many that came on an invite .. the experience just keeps building .. every time you notice and admire the pains taken by the Director in putting this massive vision into fructification , and presenting it in a manner that makes the film historic .. historic not just in its commercial prospects, but historic in its values of the audacious mind of the Director in metamorphosing the legend of the Mahabharat with its manifestation after 6000 years , into the viewage of modern day humans that go to see the film TODAY in 2024 ..
2024 ... centuries away from 2898 ( in the title of the film) .. which has been calculated after references to the Puran and Ved to be the moment of the reincarnation of Krishna - the Avatar that shall be born at the ending of the Kalyug - when all the atrocities, lies and irregularities of the World to be exhausted and overcome ..
The brilliance of interpreting a mythological Epic - the Mahabharata, which comprises of over 1 lakh 40 thousand verses , the largest epic ever in the history - and bringing it to modern day - well modern meaning 2898 AD - and to embellish it with the subtle nuances, which govern the past with what is to happen after the Mahabharata is over - the war between the Kauravas and the Pandav armies that lasted 18 days ..
SO WHAT NEXT .. WHAT HAPPENED AFTER IT WAS OVER ..
does life remain in its stagnancy or there is more ..
WELL FIND OUT BY SEEING KALKI .. and revel in its vast and massive presentation .. and to live till the FINALITY of its story-telling in the wait of the Part 2 ..
SO .. had a wonderful chat with Nag Ashwin for the camera and it should be out soon hopefully as a Podcast or on the TV channels , soon ..
Yes the film is a massive spectacle .. but it is also a learning .. a learning of the merger of myth and reality .. and a learning to the film makers on the process of putting this mammoth together for a viewing audience ..
It is humbling and perhaps not in my league to speak of a project which has been involved with me also , but at times it does become unavoidable .. such be its magnification in its discuss ...
The chat, or as some prominent journalists have titled previous effort with me and the cast of the film as the Kalki Chronicles , could well be titled the Kalki Director Chronicles ..
And I do wish that the Production be swift in putting it out as a PodCast , for it to be viewed and heard by several more ..
I retire now as the night was long and the morning early .. but shall slumber in the essence of Kalki , irrespective of the yay's and nay's of the World for it ..
My love 😍
Amitabh Bachchan

I am very very very very very late to the party but I finally watched Kalki 2898 AD. It's amazing.
Everyone made real good of what they were given, even the characters that are their for for 10 minutes or less leave an big impact.
Like Kyra and Divya and Luke.
Amitabh Bachchan ate that role. He deserves all the praise he go and more
I have to confess, Bhairava turned out to be a more layered and intresting character than I had expected. I got only the spoilers I couldn't help like the posts from the official Twitter account. I knew I would love him but he did prove to be more.
The scenes where prabhas is Karnafied are spectacular, his eyes, his expressions, his body language are soooooo good
#I feel like many people who criticized the movie did it out of spite#i do have a soft spot for Karna#he was like the first Mahabharata character I learned about#prabhas#kalki2898ad#sort of unfair I will have to wait so long for the next movie

Thoughts on Kalki 2898 AD
For any new watchers, it might help to get some context. Kalki 2898 AD is about the emergence of Kalki, the last and 10th Avatar or Avataram of Lord Vishnu. There are 4 yugams according to Hinduism. Satyayugam, Tretayugam, Dwaparayugam and Kali Yugam. When evil shadows the world, Vishnu is born into Earth as a human to rid all evil. Krishna is one such very popular avataram of Vishnu. Kalki, the last Avatar has not yet appeared in Kaliyugam( the most evil of all times) and this movie is an imagination of that probable time.
Spoiler Alert!
Cons-
The dialogue, I understand that they now live in a place of amalgamated cultures but why does some of it sound so bad?? I watched the Malayalam dubbed version in theatre and it is actually not that bad but still this use of english slang that sounds so awkward and which can be easily replaced with regional slang is so annoying. For example why does the rebel fighter keep calling bhairava "bro" 😭. Especially when it can be replaced with "chetta" or " anna".
The names, Characters that should have traditional names like Shobana's character has Mariam, I mean Huh?? Who thought this was a good idea? Prabhas's character has a name that does not suit him even slightly( sorry guys but Bhairava is reserved for Ram charan's Magadheera, and he actually lives up to the name) It does not fit him thematically either bcz Bhairava is a form of Lord Shiva and that is not connected to Prabhas's character in any way whatsoever . As they revealed him as Karna at the end, they could have given him a name connected to being a son of the Sun god or smth like that. And the women's names. Sigh. Guys didn’t we all agree about using names like Kyra in Indian cinema. Then why does this KEEP HAPPENING. I mean Kyra, Mariam, Raya, Roxy(her character is another issue entirely)???What. Why. We have a bajillion good indian names both traditional and modern and u choose this, really. And if they're so adamant on using western names, use good western names like Rose or smth. Also who wants to bet that they thought they were the only ones who watched Raya and the Last Dragon and thought it'll be a good name for a indian girl.
THE TREATMENT OF FEMALE CHAARCTERS, I have been yapping about this for years to my sis so I might as well yap here too. Does the movie have good female characters? Yes. Does it treat them well? Hell no. Kyra, dead. Mariam, dead. Leela, left to die, probably dead or used as a sex slave. Roxy, there to add some spice and romance into Bhairava's boring life and consecutively forgotten and never seen again. Good thing Raya is a literal child or the writers will probably kill her off too. And it's the way their deaths have no meaning too. The man who Kyra sacrificed herself to kill is alive actually! Mariam after barely escaping death in the aircraft just gets stabbed by the villian. Sumati's case is gonna be a bit more controversial bcz while i like that she is free from the lab and might get a life of her own, it still doesn't stick quite right with me on her being told by Aswathama that her dharmam is to give birth to kalki ( more accurate and appropriate wording would've been duty or 'kartavyam') I forgot about Mrunal Thakur's character's death at the beginning bcz it had no impact at all. I don’t understand how the man who directed Mahanati could do this to the women of his movie.
Casting choices, You can sue me to hell and back but Prabhas was..not a good choice for Bhairava or as he is revealed to be, Karna. Let's be honest, every single movie after Bahubali was a huge huge miss for him and i'm almost convinced now that the reason Bahubali was such a hit was bcz of Rajamouli and the immense talent he was surrounded by like Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan. For all the marketing they did for him as presenting him as the central character, he is not the main character(as he should be bcz I doubt he'll do a good job of it). His acting stands out like a sore thumb amongst Amitabh, Shobhana and Deepika. And i'm kind of disappointed that he's Karna bcz Karnan is such a complex and good character. Unpopular opinion but DQ should've been Karnan. He just fits. And Vijay Devarokonda does not fit Arjun either. His lines feel flat and emotionless. Maybe instead of casting popular Telugu names they should've casted people who actually fit and can act.
Bcz I sing, I feel slightly qualified to comment on the music in the movie. Prabhas's romance song needs to get burnt to ashes immediately bcz what. what even was that. Ew. But the theme of Kalki immediately bought back my hope for music in the movie bcz that was excellent. But I still feel like it could have been better by adding female singers in a lower pitch. The contrast would've been phenomenal. Bahubali's music director Keeravani already used these techniques in the Mahismati song guys, it's a guaranteed hit. Or maybe it's just my disappointment that there weren’t more female voices.
Krishna's voice should've been sweeter. He is pookie ok? and he deserves a sweet voice. I'm pretty sure he's described to have a voice that melts your heart. His current voice would've suited Balaram more.
Pros:-
The VFX was actually not that bad. Compared to the usual, it was miles better.
Amitabh as Aswatthama, Kamal Hassan and Shobhana delivered. They were absolutely excellent.
The little details were great. Humans get smaller through the progression of the yugams so Aswatthama being 8 feet bcz he was from the Dwapara Yugam fit perfectly. The mythical city Shambala. The little sculpture of Kalki, Bhairava holding and protecting the statue of vishnu from falling( foreshadowing?), Ashwattama meditates near Kashi's shivalingam, Gandhivam, the 5 objects around Supreme(Kamal Hassan) being the 5 evils.
Bujji, sarcastic and fun AI is always always a plus. Healthiest relationship that Bhairava has with anyone in the movie. And voiced by Keerthy Suresh? Double plus.
So many malayalam actors, it makes my malayali heart sing. Anna ben from Kubalangi nights, Shobhana and DQ 😭😭, and Malavika Nair as Uttara too. We were fed so well, just wish they did’nt kill all of them.
The inclusion of cringe english lines might've been dissapointing but the inclusion of races all over the world absolutely made up for it. Shambala's citizens being of all races, black, white, east asian, middle east and all of them being equally happy at Kalki's return made me cry. Hinduism and God is for every single person on earth regardless of their ethnicity. " Vasudaiva Kudumbakam" meaning the entire world is one family was embodied so WELL in that scene, I am floored.
No matter how many times Deepika walks into fire, she does it perfectly every time. Also that parallel between the birth of Krishna and Kalki!! Vasudeva walks through water while Sumati walks through fire. Literal chills
One can't mention chills without mentioning Krishna. It was the absolute BEST part of the movie no doubt. And not revealing his face was the best decision they made in the movie, the audience unknowingly understands that he is pure divinity. And he's Dark skinned too!! Granted he's said to be as dark as the rain clouds but meh, i'll take what I can get. I doubt that an actor with a skin colour like that is accessible. But not revealing his face and letting only the horse and his silhouette show was such a good choice, I can’t get over it.
The monks with guns 🙂
The Shambala weapons in the shape of Murugan's spear??😭 Excuse me while I cry.
The Mahabharata scenes
Supreme(Kamal Hassan) taking one drop of Kalki's essence and reviving from a Skeleton to a normal human body and that LAST POSE OMG
So even though the movie had it's flaws the good parts alone were all worth it and the theatre experience is phenomenal. The simple fact that all of this is going down and lil Kalki has'nt even been born yet is hilarious to me. It could definitely have been better but the parts that mattered, they did well.
And the iconic scene, Sree Krishna himself (forgive the trashy quality)
#kalki2898ad#Kalki Avataram#yes i am malayali i will say avataram deal with it#ok but srsly prabhas needs to up his game it feels like he's still riding off the bahubali high#This one scene of Krishna made me go to a theatre and oh it was worth it#indian cinema#my post
