Can I tell you my hot take? I think the reason Travis bothers a lot of anons from different parts of the fandom is because he has, since day 1, very strongly and continuously asserted that he doesn’t care about a single thing any of her exes cared about.

The media? Nope. The fans? Nope. The attention? Nope. The diaristic songwriting? Nope. The success? Nope. Every single thing that was “ammunition” against Taylor by other people, he has seemingly shot down.

So even fans who do love her but always feel the need to hold something over her head, see that the one person who they can project that onto, does not care, they turn around and shit on him/their relationship imo.

this is an interesting take. people definitely have trouble reconciling the fact that someone who’s dating her wouldn’t be bothered or slightly emasculated by all of the things you listed. what seems to bother a lot of people is that he DOES unapologetically enjoy attention, imo, but he never does anything to exploit taylor to get it. people really don’t like it when celebrities are earnest. he walks the line very well and always knows the right thing to say about her. that makes it hard for people to find ammunition to shit on her in the most predictable way they know how.

I was a pretty casual Taylor Swift fan for a long time. I could name a couple of albums and had a handful of songs I really liked. When I saw the Lover body suit from the Eras tour it completely rewired my brain. I knew I *needed* to wear it. It helps that I’m friends with some hardcore swifties (hi Riza & Ronnie) who helped me get realllly into the fandom.

I had some big life accomplishments in 2023 so my reward to myself was commissioning this. It was a blast to wear at Katsucon. And while there’s some padding going on here it was scary and exciting to wear a costume that shows off my body like this.

I met so many nice swifties at the convention. I handed out friendship bracelets which seemed to be a big hit. There were a couple rude comments (most notably from a boomer who was very confused about the cosplay convention). But overall it was a wildly affirming day. And I’m gonna treasure the memories of wearing this for the first time.

Now a just need another excuse to bust it out!

First of all, we are talking about career longevity and about how he's going to find ways to promote his albums and keep a loyal fanbase in the future. We're talking the next 10 to 20 years and even further. What i'm saying is that the strategies they've chosen to sell his current music and build a fanbase on aren’t sustainable in the long run. You (and other anons) pointing out his past and current success is irrelevant in this conversation. It's a house of cards and it will all change when the fake relationships aren’t working to achieve wanted results anymore, when his good looks fade and he isn't doing it for people anymore (starting with a shaved head) and if he doesn’t manage to write more hit songs. The gp does care about his relationships, anon number two. I refer to anon number one about his fandom ballooning during holi*ia.

He will also come out as gay at some point in the future and in a relationship with Louis. All his previous relationships and his womaniser image will be revealed as fake.
