Hello! This is my first time doing something like this but it’s kind of like another request you had done? It’s an alastor x reader

It might be odd but I saw a tiktok bout this trope and now it’s stuck in my head, what if vox had a sister just a year or two younger than him and instead of technology she was more based around recording stuff- and since he doesn’t let her meddle in his affairs Valentino and the other chick make her go undercover at the Hazbin hotel.

I think it would be funny :) it would be hilarious if maybe she had a phone that her brother contacted her from at the same time every day and when he drops in he either hears al flirting with him or literally making out with his sister.

The red demon curled his claw under your chin and lifted your head to his. His eyes were lidded and his smile was soft

Your eyes widened and a blush rose in your cheeks

”R-really?” You had a hopeful tone in your voice.

He chuckled and lowered his face to yours, his lips pressing against yours.

He pulled away to see you glitching, sparks flying from you.

Before he could raise his concern, you lunged and wrapped your arms around his neck, knocking him on his back as you sought his lips again.

drynysn During one of my latest lectures one of the students asked about accuracy in Sci-Fi movies, so I decided to start a little series of: Is this SCIENCE or just FICTION? Firstly, we'd look into the scene from Spider-Man 2 (2004). The scene where Peter Parker (Spider-Man) is stopping the train from its eventual crash. he shot multiple web lines, then they stretched and didn't break. One would say it is not possible. But! From the way the scene is shown to us, we are able to estimate how strong the web needed to be for it to happen. Okay so the new adult Gaang movie is coming out next year. I’ve talked on TikTok (and might make a video on this too) about how from the LoK photo it looks like Bumi might be significantly older than their other two kids

He looks ten here, at least, and if we can calculate how old Aang and Katara were when Tenzin was born (Tenzin is 51 in LoK, LoK is 70 years after Avatar, 70-51 is 19, Tenzin was born 19 years after the events of Avatar. Aang and Katara were 31 and 33 when Tenzin was born, if Bumi is ten years older, they were 21 and 23) we can guess they were in their early 20s when Bumi was born. We know they’re supposed to be in their early 20s in the movie

By this timeline, some people were concerned Katara might be pregnant during the movie. But by some rumors I saw, Aang and Katara are meant to be around 24 and 26, so Bumi would have already been born and maybe be feature in the movie as a toddler. Based on Kya and Tenzin’s ages in this photo, it looks like they wouldn’t be born for a few more years, and unless there was a time skip Katara wouldn’t be pregnant in the movie.

And I can’t decide. If she looks pregnant here. Her stomach looks slightly rounder, but it’s hard to say if it’s not a trick of the eye from her clothes and shading. I can see it and not see it depending on how I look at the picture.

For the record, I really really don’t want Katara to be pregnant in the movie. I do not want her to be treated as “fragile” or have her entire arc centered around her pregnancy. If she is pregnant, then either the movie age rumors are wrong, they’re retconning the timeline, or that’s not Bumi, but Kya, which is not as direct of a retcon.

The fandom negativity had me in my head about the finale but now I think I really am just going to sit back and enjoy it

You're welcome. Normally, I just keep my mouth shut and not even look at fandom stuff when I see that a fandom is so negative... but this one bothered me enough to say something. It's just sooooo unwarranted.

I saw the leaked finale. I think it puts the characters in wonderfully painful states of suspense that make me excited to see what they do with the next season. I like that I don't know everything that is going to play out because the book isn't the script. I think, based on what I've seen about the differences between the book and TV characters, that they added a lot of depth and nuance to the characters that wasn't in the book. This makes them far more interesting to me. I love messy, hypocritical, sad, pathetic characters that fuck themselves over. It's great.

I think sitting back and enjoying the finale and ignoring the hysterical, over blown, stuck-pig wailing of the fandom will bring you a lot of joy. I personally can't wait to actually watch it in high quality on my OLED on Sunday and not on freaking TikTok lol

I'm so close to stopping playing genshin, I was going to leave it on Inazuma but I thought the story could improve, it didn't, the characters repeat themselves and repeat each other over and over just with different phrasing it feels so tedious

Join the club, anon. The only reason I resumed after about a year, was because I wanted the gilf dragon Neuvillette I saw from various tiktoks. As soon as I got him, I dipped after like a week and haven't touched it since.

I feel like genshin focuses on putting out too many characters, and then only mentions said characters when its convenient during events and such. Even then, the experiences with said characters usually aren't too memorable. At least from what I remember. There's only a few characters that I remember fondly, and it's not that many.

Also, here's me ranting a bit again. I heard from some leaks that the archon from the pyro nation that's supposed to be based off African/Latino cultures is white so... glad I stopped playing when I did.

A/N - From a tiktok, Earth 42 Miles is apparently more skinnier than Earth 1610 Miles so... ANGST IDEAS, this is just a fic to show Prowler Miles struggles. To add on my fic, I headcanon that Prowler works with kingpin. I am not sharing the video cause tiktok plays unfair with me and leaks my tiktok account. Alsoo... Miles stood behind Kingpin, his mask over his braided hair as he listened to his conversation with Dr. Olivia. Today was like no other, Kingpin plotting for the collider and Dr. Olivia telling him recent results.

He was not interested, to say the least. All he was worried about was his mom getting enough to eat and finishing his assignments before dawn.

He was getting slimmer and lankier by the second. But he didn't mind. Every time he lifted his shirt, he saw the faint outline of his ribs poking out his skin.

Not to mention his sunken eyes for staying up late to do his assignments and the missions Kingpin makes him go through. With every mission or assassination he has to go through, it's either a new bruise or a scratch or worse, a stitch.

He only sighed at the thought as Dr. Olivia nodded goodbye and Kingpin turned to look at him.

His shoulder couldn't help but tense as Kingpin slowly walked towards him.

"Go along now, I know you still have your homework or something," Kingpin said in his low voice and Miles nodded, his mask disassembling as he sauntered on outside but was suddenly stopped by Kingpin.

"Hey, Miles."

He slowly turned around but unexpectedly his cheeks were suddenly grabbed by Kingpin, dragging him back and pulling him close, Mile's head, cramped in Kingpin's palms.

He winces a little as his clawed gloves grasp onto Kingpin's arms as he's lifted up, one eye closed as he struggles against the grip.

"I heard what happened in the last mission. Don't mess up, alright?" He asks in a harsh whisper, if Kingpin closed his palms out of fury, Miles's head would be squashed.

Nothing much happened during the mission he went on but, if anything did happen, it would be bad for him and Kingpin.

Though killing the last scientist Kingpin assigned him to, the family walked in. It was horrifying for the family and Miles, Kingpin must've heard the news but no worries, he would deal with it.

"Yes, Boss.." He manages to muster. Kingpin shifts his gaze and his glare is bitter.

He clicks his tongue and he throws Miles back down on the ground, harsh and rough, making Miles groan. Miles blinks away stray tears and he gets up, pain shooting up his sides.

He limped on his way out, hissing in pain with each step he took. He rounded a corner and saw Dr. Olivia, already waiting for him with guilt shining in her eyes as she saw Miles holding his sides in pain.

She was different from Kingpin, she did care. She gave him food from time to time but not money. Miles didn't know why she did but he let it happen nonetheless.

He looked up at her and she held a plastic container. "Here, I had some leftovers." She whispered, extending her arm.

Miles used his free hand to take the food and limped past her, Olivia eyeing him as he left Alchemax, his breath shuddering from the pain.

On the way home, he changed out of his Prowler suit and reached home and already saw his mother waiting for him by the table and was expecting what she was gonna say.

"Miles, I can't cook today. Lo siento, cariño." She apologized, rising from her seat and cupping Miles's cheek as he smiled softly, just knowing his mother was safe,

"Te encuentras bien? Estás cojeando.." She muttered as she tucked a braid behind his ear, her eyebrows knitting together, noticing the way he held his side.

"Mom, it's fine. Traje comida." He assured her, holding up the plastic container, her eyes widened as she hesitantly took the food and set it on the table.

"Qué hay de ti?" She asked as Miles moved away from her hands, making his way to his room.

"I won't eat anytime soon... No comeré pronto… Tengo que hacer tareas y la comida se echará a perder porque para entonces ya la habré olvidado." He explained and he glanced over his shoulder.

"Just eat." He said softly and his mother sighed, guilty, her eyes begging him not to shut her out again. He didn't want his mother to be guilty about eating the food all by herself but he wanted his mother to be healthy and well even if he wasn't.

He walked into his room and he sunk in his chair, sighing and staring at the paper laid out before him. His shoulders were aching and his sides were still hurting, had Kingpin thrown him down too rough?

He walked over to the mirror and lifted his shirt, at first, he saw the vague outlines of his ribs on his skin but then, he saw the bruise, placed arrogantly on his sides.

He clicked his tongue and stared at the other scars on his body placed around him. None stuck out, he traced the stitch on his sides and he dropped the shirt, letting it cover him again.

These scars were painful, mentally and physically but he had to ignore those feelings, for his parents. He did this for a reason and complaining was not an option and he had already etched himself too deep in it to stand back.

He went back to the desk and sighed, rubbing his eyes and at that moment, he felt like his eyebags had deepened.

He picked up his pencil and his pen and started working on his assignments, and he wasn't stopping until morning.

Firstly, we'd look into the scene from Spider-Man 2 (2004). The scene where Peter Parker (Spider-Man) is stopping the train from its eventual crash. From the way the scene is shown to the audience, we are able to estimate how strong the web needed to be. After looking up the train's mass, you can estimate its initial velocity (how far it can go per hour, so km/h) by seeing exactly how long it takes to pass the city blocks. (1)

Well, the secret's out - Grace

When ARMY got the notification that Grace was going live, the app saw the biggest jump in traffic it had seen in awhile. The news was spread on Twitter, message apps, Tumblr and even TikTok. The reason for the massive buzz was this was the first time Grace would be live after the news of her and Seokjin’s relationship had become public knowledge via BigHit’s confirmation. So many many many fans were wondering if she was going to admit to anything. 

“Hello everyone,” Grace grinned as she adjusted the camera. “I’m in the studio right now as you can see. And yes, I promise I’ve been working on my solo stuff. There’s plenty of news coming soon but I just wanted to come and say hello since it’s been a while.”

The trusty mug of tea was ever present and a couple of snacks. Unbeknownst to ARMY, she had been secretly preparing for her tour as well as a special BTS tribute show that no one knew about apart from the artists that had been selected. Even the artists attending didn’t know she was coming. So many exciting things were coming for everyone to enjoy.

“Noona, how are you doing? You look a bit tired,” Grace read one of the comments. “Thanks very much. I promise I am sleeping but I’m just very busy lately. So many exciting things coming for you guys but you have to wait a bit. My time is coming.”

That sent off a spiral of suggestions with the boy's solo careers thrown in the comments as ARMY begged their Noona for a hint. “Ah sorry everyone, you won’t get any spoilers from me. That’s Namjoons job. But I promise I won’t keep you waiting too long.”

She rested her feet against the desk and pulled the screen a bit closer so she could read the comments. With a bowl of fruit in her lap with a hand holding onto the handle of the mug, she looked the perfect picture of unbothered. Completely unaware of what ARMY was asking for or very aware of what they were asking for, but letting them go for it either way. 

“News? What news?” she asked, popping a strawberry into her mouth. “Is there news?”

Noona! Stop teasing! We all know now!

Seokjin! Come and collect your girl. She’s teasing us. 

Ah she’s learning too much from Yoongi. 

A small grin tugged at the corner of her lips but it soon disappeared, replaced by a ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about’ look. But it soon went away the moment a name appeared in the comments, causing ARMY and social media to explode.

‘Jagiya, give them what they want. They want all the gossip.’

Jin.

“Shouldn’t you be training?” she asked, ignoring the comment for a moment to play around in her bowl of fruit as if she was trying to find something. 

‘I have a spare half an hour to come and torment you.’

“Thanks very much,” she sighed and grabbed a handful of grapes. “Okay fine. Gossip. Yes, the truth is out. Seokjin and I have been in a relationship since 2018. We didn’t know quite how to tell you all, the boys found out a lot earlier obviously, but someone leaked the information that I had gone to Seokjin’s ceremony which is for families only. So we had to come out and give the game up.”

She’s said it in such a matter-of-fact way. Like we should have known from the beginning. 

Noona! You can’t just drop that on us like that. 

How did the boys know quicker than us? How did they find out?

‘That’s for another night when we’re all drunk and you can handle the R-rated version.’

“Seokjin! You can’t say things like that! You’ll give the wrong idea!”

‘Wrong idea? I think you’ll find I’m quite correct.’

“ARMY, don’t listen to him. Training has gone to his brain,” Grace sighed as she finished off her bowl of fruit and placed it on the desk along with her mug. He was being such a menace and he could do it within the safe confines of his base without any repercussion from her or the management team.

“Finally. Anyway, I just wanted to say we were hesitant to reveal anything because we know what the media and everything else is like when it comes to KPop couples so it was trying to find the right time. Of course, anytime we have planned something then something else has happened like COVID, Butter then the military. But of course, we never planned to leave you guys out of it. If anything we wanted you to be included as soon as possible but we all have our insecurities and worries,” Grace explained with a small smile. “But nothing has changed. We’re still Seokjin and Grace, still members of BTS. Still here. Nothing will change.”

What are you planning, noona?

“Many, many things. But now isn’t my time. The boys have so much planned and I can’t wait to see it all. So I want you all to support them first and give everything they do a lot of love like you always do. My time is coming, you just have to be a little patient. So apparently Miles Teller's wife Keleigh gave Taylor that ring?? Except then why did Keleigh like that tiktok theorizing the it was from Travis? If ever asked I'm sure Keleigh would claim she liked it because the women was right about stones being opal and blue topaz but come on the main point of that tiktok was "this ring was a gift from Travis" and Keleigh liking it was taken as confirmation on that. Which she bloody well knew would happen the minute she clicked like, which I'm sure was done with Taylor's permission. And why did she then wait so long to correct everyone?

I've gotta laugh at Keleigh, no doubt under Taylor's direction, trying to act like tHe MeDiA were fixated on the ring for no reason. Taylor was flashing that thing all over her bday pics, as the tiktok demonstrates, and she was showing it off to Keleigh and Miles, even though Keleigh apparently bought it for her, while being papped. Taylor 100% wanted everyone to see the ring, talk about the ring and speculate about who gave it to her. And of course? people figured it was from Travis? A boyfriend giving his girlfriend jewelry for her birthday is a very normal and frankly expected when said boyfriend is a rich football player. Also a ring featuring both their birthstones is generally considered a pretty romantic gift? Its kind of a weird gift for a friend to give imho, which is why I'm very skeptical that ring really was from Keleigh, even if Keleigh's birthday is also in October so opal is her birthstone too (OMG....is this the birth of Keylor!?!?! 😲🤯🤣).

Anyway call me crazy but I think there is something very fishy about Keleigh all of a sudden claiming that the ring was from her. Taylor seemed perfectly happy to let people think the ring was from Travis until today. What changed?

Well, basically I think people are trying to connect dots that aren’t supposed to be connected. Why would one thing (him changing his Tiktok name) be connected to people making a fuss about a TikTok he liked? I feel Jk is still figuring out what to do with his TikTok now that it’s public and he’s just changing up things. You could also make the case that he unliked the girls video, because people were making it about his sexuality.. regardless of what that is.

Fandom speculates on these tiny things too much and always make it about his sexuality/relationship, while there’s many other factors at play. Jk does not need damage control for liking a video like that. Look. Things are always more complicated than what they seem. It's not that I WANT (like I need it otherwise I'll be sad) jikook to be real but I know they are real.

I'm a person that likes to see things to believe them. Evidence-based only, none of this trust stuff.

For a while, I was almost off the jikook ship. Yes the theories are interesting. Their history is beautiful. They have great chemistry...blah blah. But we didn't see jikook together on screen. And when we would, they were weird. So I was about to leave jikook because I wasn't going to be observing something that wasn't there. I didn't want to be convincing myself that things were ok if they were gone.

But then I found people who knew things and showed me things. And I've seen jikook be real.

So even though, we don't see jikook ON SCREEN, I see them. So I'm on the jikook train.

When I stop seeing them and sense that things are over completely, I will be off the jikook train, not because I'm insecure or whatever they call it nowadays but because relationships change and people change. I just have to wait and see.

All the things you are mentioning are being seen from a perspective of someone who refuses to entertain the idea that jikook is still together. Jimin comments on other member's lives but he doesn't say to them what he says to Jk. When I watch Jk's lives, he's still the same Jk as before but now he sings about sex and has revealed his goals in life. He's on tiktok doing what people his age do. Jikook have had a long relationship where they have grown together so I'm thinking they are still figuring stuff out.

We've seen jikook together in the wild in NY and CT and Jimin was smiling in both leaked photos. Doesn't that tell you something?

People will try and convince me and write words but the only things that can convince me are jikook themselves. So I will wait and see what they have to show me. For now, I'm on the jikook train.

How do you think the Johnny Depp situation got so toxic so quickly? Is it just because he’s so famous? I do think the anti metoo crowd saw Depp as a good person to use to discredit the metoo movement and used him accordingly considering how famous he is.

I mean I remember the level of hatred he got in 2016-18 then it just changed so dramatically during the trial with seemingly so little effort. It felt so suspicious to me. I went from being pretty indifferent to feeling genuinely quite sorry for Amber. She was treated awfully and I have never really been a fan of hers. I wonder if he employed bots to help start a conversation in his favour considering it really seemed like he had very little positive media coverage before the trial. Although there were plenty of real people on his side on TikTok and Twitter etc.

I just wish he was never cast as Grindelwald. Jo and the crew got so much hate for keeping him as Grindelwald for CoG after allegations then got so much backlash for getting rid of him after a judge literally deemed him guilty. I do think it really damaged the fantastic Beasts films. I have a feeling it would have received a little more goodwill if another actor played Grindelwald from the beginning. Plus as a Grindeldore fan I really didn’t like him as Grindelwald at all and I’m genuinely sad now that anyone who plays Grindelwald will be tainted by the Depp fans who’ll always act like the character belongs to Johnny. No Grindelwald belongs to Jo!

Prefacing this with: i'm not really the best to ask about the Depp/Heard case, or actors in general tbh. I'm not the most knowledgeable and found the whole circus around the trial grotesque.

That being said, how did the situation get so toxic? First of all, the heavy involvement of Depp's legal team (as well as either well paid or very motivated third parties) in building his "defence" online in the years preceding the trials and weaponising the Internet against Heard. This is well known by now and includes falsifying evidence before leaking it to fans, use of bots to build a momentum, etc. But it doesn't explain how the sauce took so well, does it? Imo and in no particular order:

Social context online. Check out the first comment on this reddit thread i've found about the Netflix documentary that came out about the case recently: "The appeal of getting in deep with the case wasn’t so much to learn about law and defamation, it was the fun of joining in with others as a community and sharing reactions and emotions." Based on this alone you could have told this was never going to be about justice, but the internet equivalent of a rave party in post-Covid times.

Fashion. It was trendy to be pro-Heard, now it's trendy to be pro-Depp. "Don't you know new info came out that she actually was the abusive one all along?? Keep up!" is a much better story to gossip about than "yeah, Depp, that known abuser, we've known since 2016"

I too wish Depp was never cast as Grindelwald, first because he's such an obviously poor choice for the role independently of his behaviour. But WB in general has a problem with casting the worst possibly individuals known to man (or rather women) in lead roles. See fucking Ezra Miller and the Flash disaster. But i think what actually damaged the movies much more than any celebrity business (least of all JKR's own controversy which the general public knows shit about) is that they weren't all that good.
