So, this shot from the BTS snippet of Hux & Pryde really made me rewind and rewatch, and then it made my heart break for Hux.

It doesn’t seem like an outtake. If you watch the clip, they don’t laugh or break character until Richard pretends to smack Domhnall on the back of the head when he turns around.

So was there a scene in TROS where Pryde hit Hux with his swagger stick? The stick didn’t play another role in the film, other than being part of the Allegiant General’s outfit so I think it’s entirely possible that there’s a deleted scene somewhere where Hux gets hit in the face by Pryde after trying to talk to him. Imagine Hux’s expression afterwards. It’s like Brendol is still alive and is right in front of him and hitting him again.
