in every group, there is always someone who tries to be the leader, heart, or glue that raises morale and keeps the group together. it's interesting how kaede, kaito, and kokichi have different ways of going about it. kaede is front and center and genuinely wants unity. kaito plays support when kaede is around but will step up to boost morale when no one else does. and kokichi adjusts to the group and either supports kaede or goes with the devil's advocate, tough love approach depending on the situation
