lol i got decisions back from all four of my grad school apps and none of them were acceptances. i got waitlisted by one and outright denied by the other three. fuck man

#she bork #idk i have mixed feelings bc on one hand after moving once already this year i'm not super keen on moving again like four months from now #and across state lines to boot. i've never REALLY moved like w furniture and i have exponentially more shit to move now than i did as a #freshly graduated teenager and it turned out to be so much more stressful and work intensive than i anticipated. trying to move in one #weekend fucking sucked. on the other hand i do still want to go to grad school and i would never forgive myself if i let one (very small)#failed round of apps derail my plan to get my masters. idk it just sucks bc now it's like on hold bc i clearly need to beef up and #strengthen my portfolio but i hardly ever write anymore bc like who the fuck has the time. so i actually have to get disciplined w writing #more as well as sending out submissions so i can get more publications under my belt. so it's not like i'll automatically just reapply to #more schools next year bc i'm not wasting hundreds of dollars on apps when clearly i need to do some work on my #portfolio. idk it just sucks bc now idk what to do not only if i don't get in but even if i do bc again moving sucks and unless i majorly #downsize before moving again it's gonna be terrible. idk i feel like shit man

got a good number of cds yesterday and tomorrow but also culled a bunch

#i have limited space at the moment so must be done #and also the chunk im getting rid of i dont really need or wanf #do i really need these 3 omd albums when i am happy with keeping just the singles compilation etc #and some are '10 cent cd i want to give a listen for the first time and if i like it yay i have it and if not no loss and can just donate'#becoming a bit more strict in only keeping albums i really like as a whole piece or find w skipping a bit but overall good #and some are just 'this is a notable album i havent heard so i should have' but then its like if i dont care for it... bye #so yeah i got 13 cds yesterday? and then getting rid of like 30 #and then for vinyl im just getting rid of 4. im already pretty strict with records to begin with #so im good with what i have even if its comparatively small to some #records can get expensive and u cant skip so it has to be something i really like as a whole #idk ive been collecting for 4.5 years so im due to downsize stuff i dont want #ill post a haul tomorrow after tomorrow's trip #its like would i miss or get upset not having this after i get rid of it kind of thought process lol. or will i ever change my mind about it

What they don't tell you about having a nose piercing is that it feels like I have a dangly booger just in there and I have to just Leave It Be bc I'm not supposed to touch the area at all if I can help it

The face holes be itching today again, folks

#speculation nation #ive been carefully cleaning around the piercings with q-tips. including the inside of my nostril #which should hopefully deal with Actual boogers in said nostril #it's so hard to stop myself from rubbing the spots tho. theyre so itchy. wanna itch.#i managed to snag my thumb on my nose piercing in the night and Ouch owie ow. that hurt lmfao #when i leave them alone they fall into a relatively painless neutral. but it is So Hard to leave them alone...#the booger feeling should hopefully get better too. in time.#my piercer does a flatback kinda thing where the bar gets downsized after a certain amount of time & healing #so in like a month and a half ish ill have the bar shortened which means it wont hang down so much #for now. i must simply endure.#it's not too bad. just requires me to be Careful and try to contain the urge to Touch.#u dont realize how much u touch ur face until ur not supposed to touch ur face. 😔

just got the devastating news that we're being forced to go back to work 50% of the time in office next month, and likely by this time next year it will be at 100% all so we can "get back enjoying the things we did pre-covid, like meaningful in-person engagement!" due to "how well our nation handled covid!" as if it's literally not still killing and disabling people on the daily.

#so NOW not only has my car insurance gone up #but my rent went up by a lot #and now i'm going to have to pay $50 a week to park................................#of course i get this news days after i renewed my lease so i can't even go out to try to find a place maybe closer to work #or just downsize so i can try to save SOME money #hhhhhhhhhh can't catch a fucking break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#i framed my getting back into running routine around my one in office day and!!!!!!!!!!!! now!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't know!!!!!!!!!#might even have to quit therapy bc i don't think i'll be able to get in at the times i need and!!!!!!!!!!! i hate it here #WHEN are we going to get the class consciousness needed to get rid of capitalism #negative

Me, almost a year ago: Yes! Let's start house hunting! I'm ready to move! But when we sell our house. I'm not doing any of the fixing. We're going to hire somebody to do that.

Me, almost 6 months ago: Yay! Our offer has been accepted. Now we have to get our house ready to sell. We're hiring somebody to do all the fixing and the painting because I hate this shit.

Me, 4 months ago: Okay, we're all moved out now! We can start figuring out what needs six so we can get this place on the market. Remember we have to hire somebody to do all the fixing.

Me, a month ago: I am too overwhelmed to book a handyman to fix things. Mr. Mac, this has to be your responsibility.

Me, 2 weeks ago: Oh, you talk to one handyman and decided it was too expensive? So he's going to fix the two things you don't want to do and we have to do everything else? Great exactly what I said I wanted all along.

Me, this weekend: *gets to spend all weekend painting after a week spent un-caulking and fixing other random shit*😒😒😒

#Mr. Mac's dad is coming to help us which is super nice but my family is not like this so it feels weird #but we found out last night he plans to spend the night #we had TWO guest rooms for 13 years and no one ever stayed so we downsized #now we have 0 guest rooms or even a place to put an air mattress right now #Mr. Mac didn't want to suggest we get his dad a hotel room because he thought it would be weird #so his dad is taking our bed and I get to sleep on the couch #after doing all this shit I've been saying for almost a year I wasn't going to do
