Here I come with a new one! Thanks to all the shitposts that give me life and inspiration to write this! I think this might be the last one I write of this series for now, because I’m literally out of ideas lol. But it has been really really fun. I really enjoyed it. But don’t worry, I’ll keep posting if I get more ideas.

After so many tiring weeks working your ass off for the minimum wage, you finally got a very well deserved vacation. Which you were totally planning to spend with your friends and your little pal.

He was such a grumpy pants, he cussed you whenever you came close, but deep down inside his little black heart you knew he craved the attention. If only he didn’t try to bite your fingers with his hampter teef.

So, you, Peach, Mario, Luigi and Toad set off on a journey to the Kong Kingdom, a tropical paradise, for a week of unashamedly lazing off. Since nobody trusted Bowser to be left on his own without causing a ruckus (throwing the piano over and over again against the bars of the cage), you so kindly offered to bring him along in a pet carrier. Oh he was big mad now.

Didn’t help that you kept feeding him apple slices through the bars saying “does the Big Boy want his appy slices?” and it certainly didn’t help either that the Big Boy really wanted his appy slices. To make up for the embarrasment, maybe you’d let him take a sip of your Caipiranha plant cocktail.

The Kong Kingdom was something you wouldn’t have even imagined in a thousand years, and you came from the Mushroom Kingdom. Throw tropical paradise, with Aztec aesthetic and Nash Car in a blender, mix it, and that’s what you get.

One of the Kongs kindly took you all to your huts and very wisely ignored all the Traffic regulations and laws of safe driving, which moved you so much, you spent the entire journey with tears in your eyes and your mouth open in a never ending scream of pure terror.  Yeah, next time you were walking.

One of the most peculiar traditions of the Kongs that you experienced there was some kind of tournament in a stage that was literally floating on air. You had to say it was a bit awkward when the kinda handsome? and cocky prince of the Kongs invited you all over to ‘smash’. Oh well, it would be way too difficult and weird to explain it to them anyways, and quoting Mario, ‘that was a pipe that wasn’t worth exploring’.

The tournament was like watching a real gladiator battle, but the gladiators had superpowers, and they were monkeys. Of course DK won, since, until Mario, he was the undefeated champion. He was a show off, you were truly impressed and cheering for him. He sent a flirtatious wink your way. And a loud thump was heard from inside the carrier. Awww, potato man didn’t want anybody else catching your attention. That was so sweet of him, actually.

The truth was, that despite this being a bit of a holiday, the real reason you all were there was because the turtle had to answer for his crimes against the Kong Kingdom. Godzilla v. Kong. It was jury duty for your friends, yaaayy.

Apparently Bowser didn’t get the memo. He was absolutely angery, screaming, raging, fighting. There was no way to handle him. To try an coerce him out of the carrier and into a proper cage was a task no Kong was patient enough to endure.

Would have it been easier to handle if he had remained in his temporary enclosure? Yeah, it would, but Kongs were monkeys with deeply rooted traditions, and if the teeny mutant ninja toitle had to be in a cage on the witness stand, then he would be in it, conscious or not. Looks like they had very little regard for the rules of the courtroom, but he had tried to kill them, so they were even.

Nobody took into account the possibility that he would manage to break free and make a run for the entrance. Tbh, it was kinda sad to watch him give the effort of his life trying to get to a door that was like ten feet away from where you all were. Still, no Kong was able to lay a hand on him, given how slow he was and how eager he seemed in getting hit, it was as if they were avoiding him on purpose. Peach would later explain you that given the nature of the power up, if he got hit in any way the mushroom would loose its effect and would turn him back to his original size, which was a big nope.

While the jury was debating wheter let him enjoy what little freedom he would have before he was tricked back into the pet carrier or just pick him and finish it, you had a moment of enlightment. That was it, the moment you had been waiting for for the last months, what you had unconsciously been training for your entire life. This was your moment to shine, your moment to be the hero, your moment to-

“Look at you so tiny and cute!” You gushed, picking him up, mindful of the spikes in his shell. He wiggled, trying to be set free and demanding you to put him down that instant or throw him as hard as you could against the wall. But the only thing you wanted to do was...

* smooch * You kissed the tip of his nose. You had been wanting to boop it since day one, and its scales were as soft as you had imagined. Your life dream had been achieved.

Bowser went very still in your hold. His eyes were wide and his pupils had shrunk with shock. The Kongs looked horrified at you so casually holding a narcissistic and psychotic tyrant like a pet, Peach was awkardly smiling at the eldest Kong, Cranky, while Mario and DK were trying as hard as they could to not burst out laughing. Luigi quietly snapped a pic and quickly hid the phone in his overalls, when the guards shot him dirty looks.

It were a couple of uncomfortable minutes that felt like years for all of you, until someone decided to clear their throat, snapping all out of their stupor. Bowser was still frozen so putting him inside the cage was easy. And so, the trial went on without any more disturbances. Whetever the sentence was, he didn’t hear it, nor did he care. Because his mind was occupied by something else. The kiss.

BONUS SCENE

You didn’t know how it had all started but suddenly there was a loud explosion and the entire castle was on flames. Tumbling, you made your way through a bunch of screaming toads towards the source of the blast. Because you perfectly knew where it had started.

The thick smoke made your eyes watery and you blinked several times, trying to clear your vision through the tears. You coughed several times, your lungs ached and you felt like you were going to pass out at any given moment. But you had to keep going fowards, make sure everyone got out safe. And by everyone you meant every single one of the creatures inhabiting this castle.

Finally, you reached the giantic doors. Exhausted, you tripped and desperately clinged onto the golden knobs, burnng your palms in the process due to the overheated metal. Thankfully, your weight was enough to pull the doorknob and push the door open.

You fell against the cracked marble floor, the only things in front of you were the dark columns of smoke that clouded your vision and the burning roar of the flames in your ears. Until, you saw it.

A gigantic dark shadow with glowing red eyes pulled out from the darkest of nightmarish Hells. The eyes burned with a flaming passion and seemed to be piercing your soul. For the first time in a long time, you felt true fear running through your veins. Still, you were too stunned to move.

A low rumble came out of that disturbing sight. It started to approach you, with every step it took the ground shook, and the less time you had to make a run for it. A shiver ran down your spine at the thought that were you brave enough to run, this monster would catch you in a matter of seconds despite its size.

A sob got caught in your throat when the smoke cleared and you got to see the owner of those eyes.

Your little fella. Your beloved tiny musical tot that played piano. Literally everyone’s warnings against him suddenly came to mind. He was not so little now.

Bowser extended one hulking arm, and with one of his meaty fingers, he dragged a claw through your collarbone without breaking the skin, like some twisted version of a caress. He let out a low purr, certainly deepest than it had sounded merely days ago. “Look at you...So tiny and cute...”

Event Horizon: This hell cathedral is also a possessed space ship?! YES! This has some of the best character intros and practical effects I've ever seen (it's also very schlocky) - I loved it and watched it three times in a row.

Small little behind-the-scenes tidbit - I don't tend to write these posts ahead of time. To keep the flow of writing from becoming stressful, I instead catalogue about a week ahead of time which rips to write about per day, and lay out the template stuff such as the tags and proper credits/title. That's also what lets showcase some rips on very befitting dates, such as Epic Flintstones and The 2:28 Collab!

Sometimes, however, I hear a rip so good that I feel unreasonably compelled to let it skip the line immediately.

It's Everyday Lake, uploaded 6 days ago as of writing, is such a perfect distillation of everything I love about SiIva. An event like "It's "It's everyday bro" day bro" from Season 3 was effectively made to celebrate just how bad the original song was, and to dedicate a whole day's worth of rips just to revel in its absurdity. Yet the song's unmistakable instrumentation lent itself so well to being used for arrangements like THE NEW TEAM 10 FORT​!​!​! [Francis Flow: Original Mix] that the song became a mainstay on the channel - pingponging between being used in so-bad-its-good parodies of the Paul brothers, or being used in genuinely good arrangements. Even as far in as Season 7, we're still being treated to more of the former with It's Everyday Lake - complete with the mark of the beast itself, as "JP Version" has become a sort of code for Jake Paul-related rips.

What makes today's rip in particular stand out for me is just how perfectly it sits between the original intended emotions and the inherent comedy in It's Everyday Bro's quality. You can't *not* think of the original song when listening, yet Pokémon's Lake theme is a song filled with so much serenity and peace of mind, it sort of tugs you back in the complete opposite direction. The samples and beats taken from It's Everyday Bro lend themselves shockingly well to this relaxing vibe, giving it the sound of a lo-fi remix completely unrelated to the ironic shitposting it has its creative roots in. I'm so happy that rippers like ChickenSuitGuy are fighting to keep jokes like this alive on the channel and showing just how much potential they have.

When you volunteered for the state fair, you didn't realize what you were getting into...

When you volunteered for the state fair, you had thought it would've been outside. Helping set up stands, lines, painting some old equipment, or setting up some of the faux buildings.

Not to be sitting in a cold room, with windows peering in at you from behind. Luckily no one was viewing this section yet, not for a few days.

It was for a good cause, you reminded yourself. Bringing joy to your community and helping an overall feeling of togetherness.

You just wish the room wasn't so cold, and that you had worn a proper bra.

Or really just more layers. The room was cold and you were glad your back was facing the windows and not your front. Still you kept your arms crossed over your chest, just in case.

You observe the sculptures around the room. One is of a horse, another of a sailboat, and the third was of some amphibian creature curling in on itself. All were beautifully crafted... in butter.

You weren't sure why that medium was used for this sort of artwork, but hey you weren't about to judge it.

Finally, after waiting for so long, a man enters the room. Tall, with a cane to lean on as he walks, wearing a thick hoodie, some gloves and a pair of snow pants. Beautiful golden eyes and a timid smile are what greet you first, before he speaks. "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, one of my associates was having an issue with one of the giant axolotls. Rio needs my touch to calm down sometimes."

Giant axolotls? You blink, but offer a smile in return, not dropping your arms. "That's alright! Gives me a break out of the heat." You lie, because well, he's a bit cute. And maybe cute enough he would be worth freezing your tits off.

"Still, I apologize, Miss." His golden eyes roam over your face, and the smile crinkles his eyes more. "I'm Viktor, I will be sculpting your beautiful face today."

You blink at the compliment, but it's not entirely bad you suppose. "Thank you, Viktor." You offer your own name. "Have you done any human sculptures before?"

"No, just objects and Rio one time." Golden eyes glance under long eyelashes. "But with such a gorgeous model, I'm sure to capture every detail."

You aren't sure what to say to that at all, except an awkward:"Thank you?"

He smiles, and it's like that comment was gone from your memory. The red glasses were on over your eyes, as you watch him remove his gloves and draw up a large mound of butter. The cane rests against the table he's sculpting on.

Viktor starts to work. Cutting away large chunks, until the shape is closer to your own head. Eyeing you for a few moments before he cuts off a piece.

Which shouldn't be weird, but he was eyeing you for a lengthy amount of time. At one point even for almost two minutes.

And then he asked you to lower your arms. "I'd rather not."

"Please?" His shoulders slump, lips lips pursing slightly. "It will just help the sculpture appear more natural."

"It's just-"

"Yes?"

You take your lower lip between your teeth, bite it for a moment while he watches enraptured. Letting go, you sigh. "It's rather... cold in this room."

Viktor tilts his head. "Yes?"

Okay, so he didn't understand. With a sigh, you lower your arms, revealing how your nipples also knew it was cold. "Just very cold in here."

Viktor seems even colder than you now, with how he suddenly freezes up. His lips part, but not to speak, he starts to breathe a little through his mouth. Golden eyes bulging slightly out of his skull, but when you move to cover your chest once again, he begins to shake his head rapidly.

"No, please don't." He swallows so thickly, that across the room you can see his throat bob. "You look so natural. Are they-" He cuts himself off, and turning red, looks back to the butter sculpture.

The red glasses were beginning to slide down your nose. Viktor breathing so heavily on the butter, it began to melt. In fact he was beginning to smooth out below your face with his fingers, and it looked like he was fondling it.

Fondling mounds of butter. Strikingly similar in size to your own mounds.

Okay yeah, red glasses were off, folded in your purse and you were now even more aware with how he was just staring at you. Hands dripping with butter, cupping your butter priests and rubbing them slowly. Dipping his thumbs over where your nipples would be, circling them.

Dear Janna, he was not doing that right? But no, he was. So heavily that the butter was melting enough that your 'head' feel off of your 'neck'. It didn't scatter across the floor, but one side had fallen in a splat against it.

He was still holding onto your butter breasts. "Viktor?"

Golden eyes blink, and he draws his hands away. They are slick with oil, and covered in little piece of the pale spread. "Yes?"

You stand up, hugging yourself. "I think I need a break now. A bit too cold."

"I could-"

"Viktor, please." You meant it to come out condescending, and maybe it was, but Viktor's pupils blow wide. And then you can see what you hope is a stick of butter in his pants. Dear Janna, let it be butter. "Viktor you've got-"

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." His face is turning red, when he glances down to himself. "It'll go down soon, I think."

You could believe it wasn't butter, with how it was even visible through snow pants. And that had a few own nasty thoughts running through your brain."I think I'm going to speak with Mr. Vander now." And you take a few steps to the door, only for Viktor to grab you with a slick hand, almost letting your wrist slip out.

"I'm so sorry!" He says loudly, looking honestly more apologetic now. "I-I don't deal with people. This is my first time doing another person's sculpture. Vander's idea."

He looks near tears, and so you can maybe take a little pity on him. "I won't tell, Vander. But you can't pop a boner just because you're doing their sculpture."

"I'm so sorry about that." The man is so embarrassed, red face and looking decently shameful. "I really didn't mean to. You're just very pretty, and I wasn't expecting your..." he trails off, gesturing to your breasts and looking away this time.

You sigh, moving to rub your temples, but after he continues to look so miserable for a moment, you offer half a smile. "I guess both of our bodies were just having natural reactions."

"I'm really, so sorry about this. And about how I was acting with the sculpture. I don't know where my head was at."

You hum, you hadn't brought that up, but you were glad he recognized his behaviour. And well, he was really cute, you decided as the rose colored glasses slide back on. "Maybe I'll come back tomorrow and we can try then?"

He looks uncertain, before he offers a weak smile. "Can I buy you some cotten candy at least, tomorrow? Before you come in?"

"Cotten candy is a very good bribe." You confess, smiling. "Just no more inappropriate behaviours."

"No more." He vows, looking far happier. "And please yell at me if I do."

"I will." You eye the mound on the floor. "Do you need help cleaning up?"

"No. Please, I don't want to make you uncomfortable." And soon with enough gestures, you were out the door. Walking down the steps after a minute of trying to decide if you would come back to see butter boy tomorrow, you turn to glance at him through the display window.

Only to see Viktor with his pants around his ankles, one buttery hand pressed to the door where you had left and the other flicking his wrist rapidly.

He turns slightly, and you could see he wasn't any butter boy with that manhood.

Yeah, you were definitely going to come back tomorrow and let him butter your biscuits.

This one was also an epiphany I wrote after watching videos of crows being cute, for a long while this one post was actually the second top post of all time! Oh man I remember exactly how I felt then. Many many times I made a small draft in an attempt to make a somewhat continuation to Small Things to Imagine but it never felt quite right. The reopening of requests at that time was really the catalyst of my inspiration. It is the shortest of the series of Small Things to Imagine but I consider it an important warm up for the reopening of requests and a weight being lifted off my shoulders!

#5- Leviathan 'Despair' Fanart

Oh my god drawing that was a pain, I did draft after draft and I was in so much agony coloring his table. But the song was so good my inspiration was on fire the entire time. You guys won't believe how happy I still am from the amount of feedback I recieved out of it. It's a simple fanart, but I felt I managed to send the exact feelings I felt from the lyrics and imagining Levi to all of you, and that makes me really proud no matter the imperfections ♡

#4- While You're Not Looking

The ammount of attention this one recieved in just one single day of being posted was NOT expected. It was again, just a moment of epiphany, and then I had many people screaming and crying in my notifications and all I could think was "oh god I broke them are you guys okay what the fuck is happening". All I had in mind while writting was literally just what they do when you're not looking, and only after some people comented on tags about the yearning this post reeked of that I realized what I wrote 😂. It skyrocketed in notes and it still has me dumbfounded lololol.

I was just so filled with love and soft feelings due to all the feedback I was recieving in this platform, all my insecurities and anxieties being crushed and thrown out the window. This fanart was made with pure overflowing happiness and gratefulness to all of you.

One of my first posts in this blog, it has been on top 3 for a good while before dropping down. It was incredibly fun to draw seeing it was literally a warmup from me staying months without drawing. I still feel sorry for the original artist of the base I used because it literally scaped my mind to credit, specially seeing I cropped the thing without paying attention to any signatures, and I also had no idea the original artist was on tumblr either, though I also didn't bother to search. The moment I accidentally found about the original artist I immediatelly went to put proper credits, but still, sorry.

#'Ho Ho Homicide' Satan Claus Fanart

Oh am I proud of this one. It took so much trouble but it was so satisfying to see it becoming it's final form. But I got so impatient I posted a literal month before christmas 😂. It's one of my favorite fanarts of all time 😏.

#Breakfast In Bed

This fucking shitpost lolololol. This was literally inspired by the fact I don't see breakfast in bed as romantic at all. Although it can be good if you can't get off the bed per example, on circunstances where you can get off the bed it's nothing short of inconvenient. But still, it's endearing to have someone go for the unnecessary trouble to have you eat breakfast in bed, and so this post was born lololololol.

Another moment of epiphany where I was high on the blushing faces of the brothers. Lucifer's frown with blushy cheeks that Satan also does, Mammon's and Beel's blushy smiles that make me go (=♡=) everytime, Levi's and Asmo's blush that just make me h o r n y, Belphie's blush that makes me want to s q u e e z e him in a hug. If I could I would make a shrine for each blushy expression from all the brothers.

Oh boy I was PUMPED while making that one. I was listening to the song mentioned on it the entire time and until today I still get so happy while listening to it. I consider this one the ultimate part of the Small Things to Imagine series because it's not only the longest it was also made with a lot more happy feelings than the first part, and it's even higher on top than MORE Small Things to imagine, and I am proud of it 😌

#2- Photos The Brothers Would Have of You

Literally inspired by the shitshow that is the photos both me and my brother take. My brother makes sure all pics he ever takes can become memes, while I always search to take pictures from people at their most natural, even if it means a blurry pic of them laughing in an awkward position, and so I merged mine and my brother's tendencies and this post was born! And honestly I don't think anyone should be ashamed of drolling in their sleep, it's normal lololol, and I do from time to time too!

You seem like a nice person, from this ask, who does not deserve the tirade I am about to unleash below so my answers in short are:

1. I think a fandom theory on a social media is a thing that most people will recognize might get cross posted so I would just summarize and link, were I to take on this project, which I will not be doing.

2. No idea how I'd make it publicly accessible; I'd probably either make a website, or a Google doc under an anonymous email address, neither of which are ideal, but no better options come to mind.

Anyway welcome to the consequences of entering my inbox. While writing this I enjoyed myself a lot but I was also like 'tbh this is probably why I don't get as many anons any more; it is because I am Gotdamn Annoying.'

So this was like, maybe 75% a shitpost, not in that I don’t genuinely believe it would be useful, but in that a comprehensive list is nearly impossible to do. Even if you limited yourself to Tumblr (ie, no Twitter or Reddit or god knows what else), you would necessarily be limiting yourself also to things that were tagged and/or got a decent amount of traction within the fandom as a whole.

I think there are a number of problems though. The first one is that while some theories can be debunked immediately upon their arrival into the primordial soup that is fandom, some may always remain technically possible, just vanishingly improbable, including some of my least favorites (cough secret dragons cough) because you cannot logically prove a negative unless you just outright ask the creators. And still others may be debunked - or proven - only after a very long time (eg: The Traveler is Artagan) and personally I want to only use this for debunked theories, so you'd necessarily need to keep a separate list of theories that are neither proven nor debunked, otherwise you just become a rehash of the, well, hash, that is the Wild Mass Guessing page on TVTropes rather than what I was specifically envisioning, namely, "this is a list of theories that were proven to be wrong, and here is why."

The second problem, which you may have guessed from my previous line, is that I come to bury these theories, not praise them*. I think some theories are good but ultimately incorrect and it's worth having them on display! I also think a lot of theories are bad, and that a good deal of theories aren't even really theories. You used the word meta, which I actually think of more as analysis than theories although the line between those two things is blurrier than most. But also, a lot of things people call theories or meta are, well, Wild Mass Guessing, headcanons/personal opinions, wishful thinking that has a tenuous relation to canon at best, and/or pure unadulterated nonsense. And I would include some of that, but not all, even though I often use the word 'theory' in a similarly loose way to kind of refer to anything that people are saying might be true in the story even if I think it's the ravings of a madman, even though my 'proper' definition of a theory would be an explanation that both answers an existing question and is supported by the existing text.

My point here is that I think some theories are best forgotten and my motivation is more accentuating the positive, pointing and laughing really hard at the negative, and ignoring a lot of the neutral headcanon-type stuff on the grounds that a neutral headcanon is your own private business and I respect that.

The third problem is curation. I have run into a similar issue with kind of shitpost projects that I did sort of take on and now languish and glare at me from the back of my mind when I am doing nothing on a weekend (specifically my attempt to make a personally useable Exandria timeline). Wiki-style editing has its benefits, but also significant drawbacks, because the same people who make pure unadulterated nonsense theories have the same editing power as people who are excellent at literary analysis, if not more. In an ideal world I would recommend putting something like this on the wiki, and there might even be a page now intended to serve a purpose akin to the WMG page on TVTropes (I did not bother to check), but in practice the CR wiki is currently under the thumb of someone who I will sum up briefly in Figure 1:

Anyway, the fact is, the TVTropes WMG page has had things like "when the Mighty Nein fight Trent, Veth will get the HDYWTDT" even though that's not a theory and in fact by the nature of D&D is impossible to predict by any means. That's just a thing that would be kind of cool to happen. I worry that any true wiki format would fall to a similar fate. It would not actually be a list of debunked theories, telling the story both of interesting and genuinely good ideas from fandom that ultimately just did not turn out to be true, as well as some real clownshoes bullshit, but rather a bathroom wall on which to scrawl vague ideas.

So I think the only way to feasibly do this is to just spend time in the fandom and collect theories, like an anthropologist, and accept that you're going to miss some, and maybe have a Google Form for submission thereof that requires things like a post with a certain threshold of notes such that you can easily collect theories from others but are under no obligation to include every one. Even then this will be subject to personal bias, and while I personally love having executive control of things I also recognize the flaws of such a system. I would definitely include some kind of disclaimer along the lines of "This has opinions in it about theories; while the debunking is objective, whether or not it was a good theory prior to being debunked has some subjectivity involved."

*I know in the context of this line actually the speaker was in fact coming to praise the thing he said he was just going to bury; RIP to Marc Antony but I’m different.

Director’s Cut of My Fic “I’d Rather Be Dry” Part 2 (Chapter 3)

Chapter 3 was probably the most painful chapter of a fic I’ve ever had to write, and not because I was sad writing the sad scenes. No, this fic was physically painful to write because it took 3 days and I was struggling to sit down and write it the entire time because even though I had the whole thing planned out, I just felt like I was dragging through it and eventually had to change some things to speed it up a bit. Still, it ended up being the longest chapter because I had to tie up so many loose ends! Luckily for me, my beta-reader @primal-shitposts​ read it through for me again, so I didn’t have to suffer again!!! If you want to support not only me but my beta-reader who makes sure my fic lacks grammar errors (and also gives you this great commentary on these types of posts), please go to their art blog @primal-interstellar​ and give their artwork some love!!! They deserve it after slogging through this mess of a fic for a game they don’t even play.

I actually originally wrote the opening scene with Satan in a lot more detail. It dropped us in the present where he was in the office, and Diavolo and everyone was just looking on as he slowly ran out of energy. But, I got about 3 pages in and realized it was dragging and so I cut it and swapped it for a flashback on the walk home.

While I intended for this to be a much more dramatic anime scene of Satan just silent as he ran out of steam and could barely move his arms save for slapping the guy, I love this interpretation.

I CAN’T EXPLAIN WHY BUT THIS WAS THE FUNNIEST COMMENT IN THE DOCUMENT. NOTHING TOPPED THIS. I DON’T UNDERSTAND BUT IT’S SO OUT OF LEFT FIELD IT HAD ME DYING

Primal knows about Lucifer birthing Satan because the moment I started playing the game I made her watch a crack video with me that mentioned it. Although I know she likes Leviathan cause sea monsters, I’m convinced Satan might be one of her favorites. On a side note, writing dialogue for Satan is very hard because he is very proper but when he snaps, I always feel unsure of whether it sounds believable or just like a string of curses that a twelve year old would think sounds cool. 😎 I do like the father/son dynamic Lucifer and Satan hint at though (and from what I hear the new lessons might be adding on to that? oWO)

I honestly don’t know how the demons who attacked MC aren’t dead yet. They’re basically disfigured and then Satan just doubled the damage and then tripled it in the council room this chapter. Somehow they’re not dead though! I wonder what MC will have to say about their punishment...

QUICK, SOMEONE DRAW SATAN WITH THE CRAFTING TABLE STARING AT THE DOOR WHILE THE EQUATIONS FLY BY HIS HEAD

I did choose the “yes” option when Beel asked to eat me in the animal event. It was not because of vore though, but I do make many vore jokes. I could imagine MC being forced to explain vore to Lucifer (or all the brothers) after making a joke and them being confused. Writing Beel’s breakdown this chapter wasn’t initially planned, and it was sort of what really started to make writing this fic slow down because as you might notice throughout the fic, I suddenly felt the need to give every brother an equal amount of screen time which sort of led to me RUNNING OUT OF VERBS for how to make each breakdown unique.

Okay, so the next part. I was actively seeing the comments as they popped up, but there was a delay with the comment box on the side appearing before the actual comments in the text. So, I saw this:

And had two seconds to go “Oh no” before this was added:

From here on it was chaos.

Listen, the boys are idiots. They’re all concerned, Mammon just doesn’t want MC to get upset again. In reality, this sort of dialogue stemmed more from me still lingering on the original idea of the fic. The original concept of this fic (when it was just a one-shot) was MC still getting attacked by a demon in the locker-room showers (for their soul) but because I was originally thinking about a female reader, I knew that it could have more of an undertone for sexual assault. I actually first discussed the fic idea with Primal months back when I first got into Obey Me, because I wanted to write a snippet of each brother helping MC after the event (it wasn’t going to be extreme, I was thinking more accidental scratches during the scuffle closer to the chest and such and maybe the assailants having more dialogue demeaning MC for being around the 7 brothers all the time) but I realized I didn’t have much experience with that and it would make writing scenes that I thought about (such as Asmo wanting to give MC a bath as aftercare) difficult as I could see someone after an attack like that not wanting to be in a bathroom with someone else or be vulnerable to them. I ended up playing with that idea in my previous Mammon fic with more different comfort aspects and touching on that kind of assault briefly, so this fic ended up just being focused on the brothers’ being upset over what happened to MC.

As much as writing Satan’s angry dialogue is a pain, I have fun making him talk with a more formal tone, it’s closer to how I normally talk, and prefer to write my characters talking. I have no problem writing contractions or more casual speech, but for one of my fantasy stories, where I’m writing in English but trying to differentiate different languages through italics or just whether they use certain contractions or not, I tend to really stress the characters that use absolutely zero and more complicated synonyms. 

I DON’T KNOW WHY BUT IT WOULD BE HILARIOUS IF MC JUST ASKED FOR SOUP OUT OF THE BLUE I’M IMAGINING ASMO BEING LIKE “BITCH I TOOK ALL THIS TIME DEBATING OVER HOT OR COLD TEA AND NOW YOU’RE SAYING YOU’RE FINE WITH HOT SOUP???”

I know the shower idea may have been really corny or cringey. I know a lot of people write things like the water in Devildom as being much hotter (cause their near hell and their demons! It makes sense, also I think Asmo might have mentioned in a text chat he would make the water cooler for MC? But I could be wrong) but I imagine their is some demons who aren’t powerful enough to handle a lot of the settings. Of course though, our demon bros are 7 of the highest demons in Devildom, so they’re immune.

I find Leviachan to be such a funny nickname, mainly because writing any dialogue for Levi makes me cringe because while I was a VERY big weeaboo in elementary and middle school, I was so lucky I never hit his stage of acting like an otaku. While it’s charming, having to type him in more modern fic is even more painful because it’s like “oh god he actually goes into the real world and talks like this). Sidenote, I always mispronounce Levi’s name when I’m talking about him, mainly because I have to remember so many anime characters where their name is pronounced Lee-Vai or I just think of the brand of jeans (fashion major brain). So, whenever I’m talking out loud about him to someone, I have to stop and be like, “Levi... Leviachan...Leviathan...” because that “a” sound corrects my brain to how it’s supposed to be.

*throws confetti again* Believe I felt the pain of this fic dragging through every boy going back on their character development I had given them but I felt it was only fair that each of them got time with MC. As the tag on archive says, “everybody gets time to shine with MC”. (I really just want to write Barbatos’ scene for chapter 4 though)

This scene was hard to write because I wanted Levi to get closure on the scene with MC, but I couldn’t have him straight up kabedon them because then he would be cornering them and I thought that would be too much like what MC went through in the shower. Although I didn’t write anyone in explicitly summarizing what happened to MC, and Levi saw the least of it, I think he’s seen enough series depicting it to know that cornering them would be bad, but he still wants to show that he loves them and cares about them. Also, when I was writing this, I remember just going through a counter of who got the most smooches in chapter 3. Originally only Mammon was going to get 2, putting him in the lead above everyone who got 1, but then I felt back for giving Levi the least screen time and just gave him 3.

Honestly, chapter 3 really took a turn for a more intimate chapter??? Especially with Asmo’s one-on-one scene with MC, it was all downhill from there. I have noticed with quarantine, my writing has become more focused on touch (if you read any of my Balance:Unlimited fics or even my Mammon fic, you would definitely die if you tried to do a drinking game with the number of times someone TOUCHES the other gently). It’s just an unfortunate projection issue that comes with writing.

And here is complete chaos. I had blocked this game from my memory and then I was forced to remember it right here. 

Removing these meme images from the fic text will be tedious, and painful. But, I am preserving them here. (I type up these directors’ cuts before publishing the final version of the fic, so I don’t lose the comments)

I’m not even at lesson 16 yet, but based on all the spoilers I read, watched, and scene for research purposes, I’m pretty sure it was more of a-

This is what writing 11k+ words for one chapter worth it. The final read through I get to enjoy things like this.

I wish Belphie was 7′2″. 😳 I like Beel but Belphie is one of my favs. Ironically enough he was the one who skipped this fic. (I’ll make it up to you one day, Belphie fans.... will we ever know what they talked about and what made Belphie cry? Personally, I think it’s like the iceberg effect Hemingway talked about, and says more under the surface... it’s totally not because I got burned out, lolololol.... 🤭)

I WAS ACCIDENTALLY FEEDING DIALUCI STANS but again, if you’ve read my Mammon fic, you probably know my true thoughts on Diavolo and Lucifer’s relationship. This fic is so MC focused, I wasn’t intending to write it in so much, Diavolo was just supposed to order Lucifer to go home, that’s it. But, I got rejuvenated when I hit Lucifer’s scene, because I knew it was the homestretch for the chapter! I really played up a Hamilton reference accidentally, having the “Go home” line repeated, because it just felt like the vibe the scene was getting at. I am hoping to explore Diavolo and Lucifer’s relationship more in my modern au fic, Siberia.

I hate tumblr because if I attach a link in the initial post, this won’t appear in the tag, but Primal’s comment here made me think of this art I saw of Lucifer and Satan the other day by ObsessiveAlice (I don’t want to tag them because they’ll be so confused by this long unrelated post! But I’ll put the link to their art in the notes/replies on this post, so check them out!!!)

I know it wasn’t the most romantic kiss but again I WAS RUNNING OUT OF WAYS TO MAKE THE BROTHERS HAVE UNIQUE SCENES SO I GOT DESPERATE.

* A lighthearted tone. There’s nothing wrong with darker, more serious fantasy, but that’s not what I want to write. Not sugarcoated or “everyone is oddly nice and non-violent/non-threatening about things,” but... Ankh-Morpork-ey. A lot of people who’ve read Discworld have gotten an impression of “I love this setting, I love the way it makes workaday life there seem, it’s really endearing and--” “would you want to live there?” “fuck no.”

* Gonna toot my own horn but I already love Sophia and finally figured out why. Not to be too “it’s different from expectations and therefore good” but we all know the overused tropes of how, when a woman in fantasy is noble she’s usually expected to be a cruel, icy schemer and when when a woman in fantasy is a competent fighter she’s usually expected to be a stern, callous, hmph-ing Strong Female Character, so I like Sophia being just... a lovable mess. She’s got two braincells left and they’re already overworked trying to think about swords and girls. She had assumed that being nobility meant a life of eating chicken legs while chortling to herself.

* Speaking of which, the overall tone I have in mind is something of a lighthearted Bildungsroman. The overall unifying ‘conflict’ is something like, Sophia starts with a worldview of “c’mooon, I saved the world, probably. I saved all the parts of the world I know about. The parts I’ve been to. Most of them.” She’s not really willfully arrogant or anything, she’s just a big fish who’s been suddenly dumped into the ocean and has to learn how to solve things without the power of friendship, heroic speeches, and/or swords. Her growth is 1. in realizing that things that seem insignificant compared to her previous exploits are still worth doing, and can still make the world a better place, and 2. learning how to get engaged with and focused towards that.

* The ideal tone for any royal/ducal/imperial Diets would be like those Door Monster Civilization sketches -- not just because they always make me smile but because it’s a good setup overall: a handful of recurring, straightforward characters who use the meetings as a place to brag and air their schoolyard gossips. My dream would be that after a while, anyone reading it when it gets to the next Diet will smile and think “yesss, we get to see what that dipshit has been up to” -- and, of course, to set up characters who will tie in/get involved with the story’s third gears.

* Every fantasy setting needs some base or inspiration to provide the names of people and places, and mine’s gonna be Esperanto. Just because.

EDIT: also, since Sophia is irrevocably gay, I figured I’d also address my thoughts w/r/t the setting and gaylationships. I have zero interest or intent in making a “oh it’s homophobic because that’s realistic” setting, but imo giving a setting its own views on gender and relationships is/can be part of making it feel alive, for better or worse for its inhabitants.

My thinking this far is that in The Empire (I need to give it an actual name soon), same-gender relationships aren’t seen as some kind of Sin or Evil Thing, but as a bit of an ‘indulgence’ -- “Yeah, fine, you want to have sex with other girls, have fun. But what guy are you going to marry and Continue The Lineage with?” “No, I want to marry a woman.” “Right, I think we lost the plot somewhere. You can sit on women’s faces to your heart’s content, but you’re still going to have a proper marriage with a man, right?” and so on and so forth.

It ties in with some of the above-mentioned stuff: when Sophia starts to realize she has to change her worldview, a part of her wonders if maybe that means she should bite the bullet and refuse her own sexuality for the “bigger picture.” (Spoilers: she doesn’t, at the end she weds a butch horse archer and sees that decades of horseback riding gave her thighs that could bend steel)

And I just wanted to say thank you so much for supporting me and screaming about Stray Kids daily? I haven’t been feeling the greatest emotionally which is why this might turn into a rant—but I just want to use my emotional energy for something good and that’s saying thank you! This is the first time a community has shown so much interest in my work and supporting it and I really, really can’t say how much I appreciate you all. I’ve been creating content for a while now, but it just never got the support I hoped for and,,, idk—just the fact that you guys like this blog just makes me so happy. And it’s not just the gifs: the gfx and writing that I post are the ones I care more about and I’ve gotten so many positive comments on it ahhhhhhh I want to hug each and everyone of you.   

    I know I don’t respond that well and those who tried to talk to me are probably disappointed by how I keep up a conversation but aklsfjasf I want to use this an appreciation post for all the wonderful people I met because of Stray Kids. haven’t been studyblr-ing a lot as actual studying kept me busy (･ω･｀三´･ω･)

i know i’m tagging this as #shitpost (heck i cbf to use proper grammar and wording here and there so forgive me...) but today was the exact opposite of what you’d call shitty, to be completely honest.

a part of me is still in disbelief as i’m typing this but,,

earlier in the afternoon was awards day at my school. for the past four years i’ve honestly just sat down as an audience and clapped at ppl lol. i literally have no expectations for someone like me to be called.

for one thing, there’s only two awards per subject per grade level: excellence and most improved. you either be really REALLY genius at a particular subject or be really meh at the beginning of the year then work your way up. i’m neither. i’m honestly someone who tries to maintain mediocre > good grades ever since. but being good won’t cut it. i think we all know that.

a lot happened since i entered IB but the classes are smaller (and with HL/SL distinctions the chances really are greater), and i’m studying the subjects i really like, so it became easier to steadily improve, i think?? even then i’m really pessimistic and i don’t want to disappoint myself further by hoping too much so....

at least that’s what i thought until tHEY CALLED MY NAME FOR SOCIAL SCIENCES JADGDSKJF so long story short, i earned an award for excellence in IB Business Management HL ;;;;; i’m aware that i’ve been doing great in the class but i can’t even?!?! when my former business teacher handed me the award and shook my hand he was like, “finally, you deserve this” and i’m just..... lies down do i really......

AND THEN I GOT CALLED AGAIN SJKAFJ it was just minutes after i received the above and then i was bestowed the award for excellence in IB Economics HL -- unlike business i felt that i was struggling with this subject. i frantically made my own notes after class because the lectures doesn’t just “get” to me. i was always behind 1-2 topics than what the class was discussing. for my econ finals, i came over to a friend’s house bc i felt the need to do practice questions and almost had a breakdown myself because i was just so scared hahah.

but it was worth it.

and when my econ teacher held me briefly to congratulate, she told me good luck for year 2 and thank you. i was like no NO THANK YOU?? to be honest i couldn’t get her teaching style (hence why i’m behind and i have to make my own notes...) but then again i’d make sure to do all my work and.... i just ahsdjsd thank you for recognizing my efforts this past year (actually 2 years since IGCSE economics) -- suddenly i’m kinda sad she’s moving for the next schoolyear

i also received an award for excellence in IB Math Studies SL ;;; i’ve always sucked at math ngl so my weak ass took studies and i know this subject gets a lot of side eye because “it’s so easy you don’t have to study” -- guess what there ARE ppl who still have to because it’s not something they can grasp easily (me lol) and well, labor does bear fruits in the end i guess. ; v ;

i don’t know if this counts as a /personal/ achievement, but the booth i was in during school’s entrepreneurship days won some awards T v T we won best business plan, best presentation and the best business in overall asjksdfjkj i got to keep the business plan award because i was the assistant general manager and the general manager was like,, “it should be in your hands because you were a great help” いやああ皆のお陰で大成功だよ！！

maybe my groupmates don’t think the same way but i really enjoyed that whole experience and everyone (save for a few? l o l) pitched in to make it a success. \o/ ngl i want to experience it again next year even though it’ll be a stressful senior year. (it’ll be my last year already.... omg where did time go)

near the end of the program, they announced the A-Listers for this semester which i kinda wasn’t expecting since we’re going to get our report cards next week still.... and SWEATS HOW DID I EVEN DO THIS SEMESTER.... i was lowkey crumbling that i won’t be called but i did _(:”3」∠)_ am able to maintain my position - don’t know how much points i got, but my goal is the dreamy 40+ ahahah why do i pressure myself like this

just like what one of the teachers said before the awarding, that while us awardees should celebrate for our achievements, it should also be a new standard for us to keep reaching higher and higher. (i know that feeling too well) (これからも頑張らないとな)

i’m sorry but also not if this post comes off as braggy or anything.... sjaskj let me bask in the light for a moment.... i’ve never received anything. nada. for the past 4 years i just clapped for everyone else. and now i could stand in front, honestly it felt overwhelming and compelling at the same time?? this meant a lot for me, you have no idea.

another thought from the day: i clapped so much because one of the juniors i tutored (for IGCSE business) received SO much awards and there’s nothing more than genuine happiness and also pride from my own heart that she’s achieving all these things ;; v ;; we stood on stage together a few times and congratulated each other jakjdjs
