#this is a post about tagging & filtering that uses rape as an example
Explore tagged Tumblr posts
Note
Twitter be like "oh? Oh? You have 'rape', 'raped', 'raping' and 'rapist' muted already? Why, have you not considered muting 'rapes' too? POW!" and radiate the tweet right into your face
Meanwhile tumblr will take your hand gently and go "oh. You sweet innocent child. You have muted the word 'ntr' I see? Why, I will hide this one post talking about a 'country' in it! Heaven knows, you might see the Bad Word and we cannot allow that!"
And then it will show you like "HEY THIS POST CONTAINS THE WORD NTR! WATCH THE FUCK OUT" and you will be left wondering, "why the fuck is my mutual who has never once talked about ntr in their entire LIFE is suddenly talking about it?", until you check out the post in question and turns out that no. It has just been country all along
Meanwhile on Twitter, the yearly #Rape[character]Week week has already started and there's nothing you can do to stop the sudden and imminent influx of retweets from that one mutual of yours who's crazy into that kind of stuff
Oh and another thing, despite how overprotective tumblr can be with its muting system, the best thing that has ever happened to it was having separate mute tabs for words appearing in tags AND words appearing in posts
Like, you love a character but people have the coldest fucking takes about them? You like a ship but its haters are justifying their hatred of it with fallacies that would make even the ancient Greeks, CEOs of arguing, to shame? Why, just mute the word itself! Leave the tags intact because it's more likely that those who genuinely love the character/ship will merely tag it, meanwhile all the flaming trash about them will stay muted, because they're only named inside the post itself! It's so easy
Meanwhile twitter, the dumbass that it is, might hide the muted words that appear on your TL, but it absolutely will NOT hide them in search results and on people's pages. So if you're browsing your beloved mutual's profile then oh no, despite their careful and dedicated TWing, you will STILL get slapped with the tweet having "rape" in it
God anon you are SO FUCKING RIGHT, it's one of THE worst things about twitter and one reason i love tumblr's tagging & muting functions SO much. Sometimes I have friends who simply have kinks/interests/ships that I just cannot do, but I still love those friends and want to follow them and see their other work! I am so so SO pro "curate your own experience & attend to your needs, block filter & mute so that you have the ideal experience" but twitter is just a HORRID platform to do that on. Especially not being able to append tags to retweets without QRT-ing them- it's so hard when the only way to add a filter-able word to another person's art/post is to QRT it, which ESSENTIALLY makes an entire separate post (and is considered poor manners for many artists who don't like their work QRT'd)
It's SO nice to be on here and simply, filter things and know that if there's anything I need to filter I can simply ask my mutual to append a tag to it, which is easy to do and does not affect the original post in question. And being able to click through and check on muted posts means that if something DOES get caught by the overzealous filter, I can still check and see (plus getting a warning I am going to see something before I see it is often all i need to keep a trigger or squick from bothering me; i have time to prepare myself, hit 'ok' and then engage, with the extra resilience that a simple warning gives me. after all, most of the time, when i'm given a content warning for a movie/show/etc, i still consume the piece of media, just with a little extra delicacy/awareness/preparation to take breaks if i need)
anyhow you're so correct and this is another reason i cannot stand twitter and am glad i'm seeing more people revisit tumblr
#rape cw#rape mention cw#rape tw#trigger warnings#trigger tags#tags and filtering#noncon cw#just covering my bases although there's no mention of the actual act or detailed discussion of it#this is a post about tagging & filtering that uses rape as an example#but yeah honestly like#as someone who can't stomach noncon but has very beloved friends who do:#the problem is 100% not the friends' tastes it's the platforms' failure to allow me to curate#i am a huge supporter of YKINMKATO#but GOD is it a relief to have a functional tagging system#i think the ONLY thing i miss from twitter are:#1.) muting- sometimes i want to follow someone but i want to mute them for a short period of time because they're going to be posting like#spoilers for a new episode of something#and 2.) turning off retweets#bc sometimes i follow someone and i love their original content but they retweet high volumes of stuff and it can flood my tl#so i just turn off rts so that all i see is their original posts#which is a fucking BLESSING#i feel like those could 100% be implemented or at LEAST added to xkit#asks#anonymous

The goal of Fandom Friday: provide a place where people can shout-out their favorite creators from the week, whether it’s a piece of fan art that made you smile or a fanfic that moved you. Drop a link to your favorite creations this week into my ask box along with what you loved about it, and I will give them a shout! It doesn’t have to be Star Wars either! If it’s on another website (AO3, Twitter, etc.), please be sure to state that as well.
This happens each week, so don’t feel like you’ve got to get out everything in one week. Just keep track of them throughout the week or send me an ask whenever you find something, and I’ll drop them all on Fridays (or throughout the weekend if I get a lot). The cutoff for each week is THURSDAY 12 PM (I’m in the Pacific timezone). Anything received after that will roll to the next week. A summary of the weeks’ recs will be posted at the end of the weekly queue, so check back here for all of the awesome fics and art! And be sure to go give the creations on that list some love (and don’t just share the ask responses I put out).
2024 Fandom Friday Weekly Summary Master List
Rules and additional details under the cut! PLEASE make sure you read the rules before sending something in. If your submission violates any of the rules, I will delete it.
Rules:
Please send submissions to my ask box (sending them all to one place makes wrangling them easier each week). In your ask, please include the creator’s handle, a link to their work/post (if links aren’t working for the ask, please DM me them), and what you loved about it!
Please ensure the link is to the creator’s original post and not your own reblog or repost of their work (if they’re on another platform). The idea is to drive people to visit the creator’s page!
The creation does not have to have been posted this week! It can be something older. Also, don’t worry about whether or not a rec is a repeat from a prior week. Just looking to celebrate things that made an impression on you this week, whether you’ve seen it before or not!
NSFW is alright! Just make sure you note it in the ask so I can flag appropriately! Since I’m including 18+ material, minors may not participate. 18+ posts will be tagged with NSFT/lemon/lemony lemon (trying to cover all my bases).
NO incest, underage, cl*necest blogs, master/padawan (or similar power dynamics), dub-con/non-con/rape occurring IN the fic (to include stalker/obsessive behavior fics). Also, no H*rry Potter. There are a few others that I also won’t share due to my discomfort with them (i.e., R*xsoka), so if you’re not sure, ask. Also, many of you submit multiple works at once, and that’s fine, but if one of those works contains something that violates the rules, I will delete the entire ask, so something to be extra careful about when submitting!
Submissions that deal with 18+ material or difficult/triggering topics (pregnancy, abuse, drug use, etc.) MUST BE TAGGED APPROPRIATELY.
If your rec involves spoilers from a show that’s currently running, please include that info in the ask so I can tag it appropriately (I will normally tag a few different ways, but I always use #<show title> spoilers if you need to filter (for example: Andor spoilers will be tagged #Andor Spoilers). I will stop tagging spoilers two weeks after the show stops airing.
You can submit GIF sets or edits, but please ensure you are submitting from the blog that actually created them. Wanted to add that caution since there’s been a lot of people stealing/reposting GIFs and edits in particular recently. So just be cautious.
Try to avoid commentary in your ask that might make others feel bad (“the only person who knows how to write XXX correctly…”). It’s important to be able to appreciate creators without making others feel bad, so let’s try to keep the commentary complimentary without being off-putting for other creators.
Self recommendations are allowed and encouraged! Shout out your own hard work! You deserve the recognition!
*Rules subject to change so PLEASE make sure you read them before sending something in. If your submission violates any of the rules, I will delete it.
**If you have any questions about any of the rules, don’t hesitate to DM me!In addition to sending me asks, I highly encourage you to go either leave a comment on and/or reblog someone’s work (tag me or use the #Fandom Friday tag if you do!). Let’s get the interaction back up on this website and show the creators that work so hard on their stuff some love!

Ghost King Danny Ao3 Statistics
Just like the title states, this post intends to cover everything there is to know about Ghost King Danny fics for the DPxDC crossover on Ao3! Understandably, this is a very long post and there are a lot of numbers involved, so you may want to be prepared!
Did You Know?
There are a total of 1,334 Ghost King Danny Fenton fics found on Ao3. Of that figure, DPxDC makes up 697 fics- a whopping 52.25% of all fics under the "Ghost King Danny Fenton" tag. Danny Phantom, one of the parent fandoms for this crossover, have a total of 439 fics, which amounts to 32.91% of this tag.
But that's just the broader overview of the Ghost King trope for the crossover. Looking deeper reveals more interesting details about this concept and the authors' preferences.
Before we begin, it would be remiss of me not to include a disclaimer about this information. You are otherwise free to ignore this list, but for those of you who are interested on where or how I gathered this data, I thought it would be appropriate to be as open as possible.
Disclaimer
These numbers were gathered through manual labor on the site, Archive of Our Own.
These numbers were compiled in one day- September 12th, 2023, and as such, may not reflect the statistics on Ao3 in, for example, one month from now.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: These figures only include fics that have been explicitly tagged as Ghost King Danny. While some stories not included in these statistics may have hints towards his royal status, a good rule of thumb is to never assume the trope will be included in a fic until given reason to. The best way to do that is when the author properly tags "Ghost King Danny Fenton" on their work.
These numbers do not include any other crossovers, nor three-way crossovers. Ex: A Danny Phantom, DC, Miraculous Ladybug crossover. This is not to put down these other crossovers in any way, shape or form, but to show a clear, concise overview of the DPxDC community on Ao3.
Fun Fact!: As I gathered the data, I had to manually remove an incredible 57 fandoms and media from the Ghost King Danny tag in order to compile this list. [*] There are countless of other crossovers still going strong to this day, and while this post may not be about them, they deserve a round of applause as well!
No Languages were excluded from these figures.
This list included fics that are not open to guest readers (fics that must be read while you are signed in with your account).
For some of these statistics, please keep in mind that there can be an overlap. For example: Under the Fandom and Character Filters.
As a general reminder, while I took great pains to clean this information as thoroughly as possible, human error is still possible.
[*]: Curious about what that looks like? Here's a screenshot:
These are just 7 of the 57 fandoms I had to remove. I would offer you more, but then we would be scrolling even longer.
However, let's move onto the statistics portion.
Please keep in mind: During this process, I used the 697 figure stated at the beginning of this post to calculate the percentages of each category.
Ratings
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Teen - 320; 45.91%
Gen - 159; 22.81
Not Rated - 129; 18.51%
Mature - 75; 10.76%
Explicit - 14; 2.01%
Warnings
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
No Archive Warnings Apply - 276; 39.6%
Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings - 270; 38.74%
Graphic Depictions of Violence - 149; 21.38%
Major Character Death (MCD) - 82; 11.76%
Rape/Non-Con - 5; 0.72% [^]
Underage - 2; 0.29% [^]
[^]: Your eyes are not deceiving you, these fics do not make up even a full percent.
Categories
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Gen - 284; 40.75%
M/M - 158; 22.67%
F/M - 63; 9.04%
Multi - 44; 6.31% [#]
Other - 29; 4.16%
F/F - 18; 2.58%
[#]: What does the category "Multi" mean? "Multi" in Ao3 means that there are more than relationship dynamic found in the story. For example, a work features both a M/M and a F/F ship.
Confused about why the numbers don't add up to 100%? Not all authors choose to mark the category of their work since it is not a required selection in Ao3.
Fandoms
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Batman - All Media Types - 533; 76.47%
DCU - 173; 24.82%
Justice League - All Media Types - 164; 23.53%
DCU (Comics) - 52; 7.46%
Young Justice (Cartoon) - 24; 3.44%
Shazam! | Captain Marvel (Comics) - 17; 2.44%
Superman - All Media Types - 16; 2.3%
Young Justice - All Media Types - 16; 2.3%
DC Extended Universe - 14; 2.01%
Confused about why these numbers add up to more than 100%? As stated in #8 of Disclaimers, many stories may include two or more of these fandoms.
Characters
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Danny Fenton - 664; 95.27%
Bruce Wayne - 433; 62.12%
Jason Todd - 396; 56.81%
Dick Grayson - 297; 42.61%
Tim Drake - 294; 42.18%
Damian Wayne - 287; 41.18%
Jazz Fenton - 215; 30.85%
John Constantine - 176; 25.25%
Tucker Foley - 169; 24.25%
Sam Manson - 167; 23.96%
Relationships
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Danny Fenton & Jason Todd - 142; 20.37%
Danny Fenton & Bruce Wayne - 102; 14.63%
Danny Fenton & Damian Wayne - 95; 13.63%
Batfamily Members & Danny Fenton - 92; 13.2%
Danny Fenton & Jazz Fenton - 82; 11.76%
Danny Fenton/Jason Todd - 67; 9.61%
Tim Drake & Danny Fenton - 64; 9.18%
Danny Fenton & Tucker Foley & Sam Manson - 58; 8.32%
Danny Fenton & Dick Grayson - 57; 8.18%
Tim Drake/Danny Fenton - 43; 6.17%
Additional Tags
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Not Beta Read - 176; 25.25%
Not Phantom Planet Compliant (Danny Phantom) - 145; 20.8%
Danny Fenton Needs a Hug - 104; 14.92%
Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton - 91; 13.06% [!]
Hurt/Comfort - 87; 12.48%
Eldritch Danny Fenton - 87; 12.48%
Other Additional Tags To Be Added - 85; 12.2%
BAMF Danny Fenton - 76; 10.9%
Danny Fenton is a Little Shit - 66; 9.47%
[!]: At this time there appears to be no consensus on what tag to use to describe the Fenton parents. Although "Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton" appears to be the most common, some other tags include:
Jack and Maddie's A+ Parenting
Fenton Parents' A+ Parenting
Jack and Maddy's D- Parenting (This was how the author spelled the tag)
The Fentons' A+ Parenting
The Fenton Parents Are Bad but not evil
Danny Fenton's Parents Bashing
Key Takeaways
To wrap up this entire post, let's look at some at some important or intriguing details we've gleaned from these statistics.
Most stories with this tag are Rated Teen.
Similarly, most stories do not have applicable Archive Warnings.
Gen fics, or stories without romance, make up the most Ghost King Danny fics for the crossover.
Batman - All Media Types sweeps up the competition and can be found in most crossovers.
This may be surprising to some, but Bruce Wayne appears in more crossovers under the Ghost King banner than any of his children.
More people have written about Danny Fenton & Jason Todd in a platonic relationship than a romantic one.
There have been arguments that depictions of Jack and Maddie as bad parents are everywhere in the crossover. Numbers show, however, that for the Ghost King Danny Fenton tag it is very unlikely. Even if there were a hundred more fics that use one of the alternate tags, that would still only be 27.4%. That's little over 1/4 of all Ghost King DPxDC fics. Now, 1/4 might sound like a lot, but when you consider that there are 3/4 of other stories that do not include this concept, or the Fenton parents' skills are irrelevant to the story told, that's not actually as many as it would seem.
---
For more information about these statistics, or the work that went into gathering this info, feel free to ask!
But I hope you all learned something new with this foray of mine. I know I learned a lot about the DPxDC community too. Thank you for reading.

Hi, you can keep this unanswered and not post it, but I want to help you understand the thought behind some of the points in your criticism post. Before I start I want to apologise if I come off as blunt and rude, that's not my intention and I'll try my best to show my tone as unthreatening but I'm autistic and not a native English speaker, which complicates things lol
*general you used throughout the ask
First, I want to start with this: they all are part of the army. You don't need to dig much to see you'll rarely see a "morally upstanding" person in the army, be it because they're cheaters, abusers, compliant with all that or they're (insert -ist/-phobe category here). UK military spouses are 3 times more likely to experience intimate partner violence (IPV). I'm not saying the COD characters need to be written like that, but it wouldn't be "unrealistic" if we take real life statistics into account.
Second, and maybe the most important thing, everyone writes COD characters OOC. The majority of the active fandom on Tumblr and tiktok have seen gifs and 10min out of context clips from the game at best. It's to be expected to not frequently find something actually in character for a lot of the guys. Especially with characters that are just operators like König, Nikto and Krueger. In their case everything is and isn't OOC at the same time because we just... Don't know these characters. We lack characterisation past maybe 1-3 traits about them. I'd argue that's why the fandom liked König so much, other than being masked, he's the perfect paper doll! You can dress him up in whatever characterisation you want and it probably won't contradict his canon (because he barely has one and what he has is quickly misinterpreted (anxiety disorder turning into shyness for example)).
Now specifically on your "How are you going to hc a victim as the abuser?" - simple, whether you like to accept it or not is up to you, but it's not far fetched for victims to become abusers later in life. Just look at serial killers statistics - 74% of US serial killers were psychologically abused and 42% were physically abused as children and later in life followed a similar pattern brought to an extreme. Or on the other hand, a tamer example would be generational trauma because that's how we get that (grandparent was abused and because that's all they know, they implement it in bringing up their child who, for the same reason, implements it in bringing up the grandchild and so on).
The final thing I want to say is, it's good to block people who you don't vibe with. Doesn't matter if it's because they wrote something that personally disturbed you or you simply don't like their blog theme or you see them too often in the tag. Personally curating your experience is key in fandom, utilise the tools Tumblr has given us. Of course as you and others have mentioned that's impossible without some assistance from the other side. Tagging is extremely important (tagging with the correct words without censoring!!! Or the filter won't catch! Rape, noncon, incest ✅; r@pe, n*nc*n, 1nc*st ✖️✖️).
I hope this isn't too messy or long aaaa
I really appreciate you taking the time to type this up and actually speak to me about this, your input is very appreciated. /gen
I do think I could've done better on that post since I wrote it in the heat of the moment, all characters are written OOC and it was ignorant of me to say
"Maybe read the characters backstories and actually take their past into consideration because you guys kinda look dumb for making these characters so OOC."
I hope ya'll can really take the time to see my POV, I did not mean. any harm, I've come across some gross things, but blocking and filtering tags so much as begun to be tiring.
My main issue is tagging, without tagging I am left with getting triggered by random posts because the first few sentences may include something on my trigger list.
That's all I want and also what a lot of other people want.
Writing is meant for anyone and everyone, a form of art and perhaps a for of therapy.
Please tag your work, you are not the only person on the internet.
Thank you for reading!

My Rules with Fanfics and Headcanons + Blocklist Reasons:
Before I forget, I don’t write for Mortal Kombat anymore. I lost all interest a long time ago. Plus looking back at my main blog during the Mortal Kombat phase makes me want to cringe into a wadded ball of paper every time someone leaves a like on one of my old posts or reblogs. Oh and if you want to request something, do it in the notes. It may sound strange, but it’s because of yet another stupid bug on Tumblr where I can open my inbox up on my main blog but for some reason not on here. It just kept telling me, “it needs to be 26 characters long” and whatever, so until the bug is fixed (which will probably be never lol), we’re gonna have to make requests via the notes or if you don’t want to do that my DMs are always open.
As of right now, requests are open, just keep in mind that I’m slow and I procrastinate, lol.
And also, this is EXTREMELY important: because from what I heard from Tumblr being Tumblr… if I cannot use tags related to any TWs/CWs, it’ll be in a “Content Warning” note. Example: Content Warning(s): CNC
Finally, kiddos, go play Nintendo or something. This is a blog made by an adult for adults. That is also going to be a recurring tag for any explicit fics I make or reblog.
General:
I do NOT do the following: Incest, Rape (closest you’ll get is a reference or implied rape, which WILL NOT be between the ship or CNC), Underage (as in Underage x Adult or Underage Characters having sex on screen), Mutilation during sex, golden showers, feces, spitting in mouth (or spitting in face), cheating (ick), sounding (it looks painful to me), period sex, feet, cervix fucking (as a woman this makes me cringe super hard), oviposition (keep your eggs to yourself and not inside someone’s holes, thank you), High School AU, having sex while pregnant (I got no problems writing about pregnancy or pregnant characters but that’s where I draw the line) and more will added/removed.
I do male x male, female x female, and male x female ships.
I write for male, female and gender neutral readers. I do NOT write for a specifically detailed reader such as short reader, Black reader, Latino reader, Asian reader, White reader, fat reader, tall reader, skinny reader, reader with big boobs, reader with small boobs, etc, etc. it defeats the entire point of a reader insert in my opinion. At THAT point… it’s now just an OC.
Speaking of OCs, when I do Canon x OC, I mainly do my own, so those will be tagged as such when you go into character tags.
I’m also thinking of doing text message AU type things because I’ve been reading them a lot in the JJK Fandom (all of you make such REALLY good ones, I swear to god), just keep in mind I’m a special type of lazy, and will just write it like a typical fanfiction or series of headcanons.
I will always have a trigger warning in the notes and in the tags similar to how I would use the “Non-Con” archive warning on A03, whenever I write CNC, so if that is not your cup of tea or it is very triggering for you to read, filter out tags (I’m gonna have tags titled “CNC” and “consensual non-consent” like this to make it easier), block me if you want to, just remember to stay in your lane when it comes to content like this. In fact, keep a very close eye out on this emoji: “⚠️” next to the title on these types of fics and any other fanfics that deal with serious subjects.
I hate that this needs to be said now, but when I write things like CNC, it’s purely fantasy, I do NOT condone any of the stuff I write. It is NOT an encouragement to do any of the stuff I write in real life. If anyone thinks that this is an encouragement to harm actual real people, then that is a completely different story. It’s like blaming Shooter games for real life mass shootings. This is gonna be the one and ONLY time I say this.
Devil May Cry Specific:
Obviously, no Spardacest, it’s weird. No smut involving DMC4 Nero or DMC4 Kyrie that is also weird.
I don’t ship Trish with any of the Sparda bloodline.
I don’t ship Vergil with Lady. I don’t write anything with Reboot Vergil because I hate him.
I also don’t write the Sparda twins sharing the same partner because in my opinion that’s on the same level as Spardacest plus the idea of dating two siblings (or literally any family members period) simultaneously makes me go, “bleh…”
No, I’m not gonna write anything about Nero x Kyrie, those two are canonically adopted brother and sister, and them being boyfriend and girlfriend is super weird. When I write Nero x Reader for instance, Reader is taking Kyrie’s role as the love interest, and Kyrie will be depicted as being Nero’s sister (maybe even having her date Nico instead).
Resident Evil Specific:
I write mainly for Leon, Carlos, Chris, Piers, Buddy (underrated king), Jill, Claire, Rebecca, Helena, Jake, Sherry (obviously canonically adult Sherry if it’s smut involving her) Wesker, Ada, and more will be added or removed soon.
I don’t ship Wesker with anyone except Ada Wong and William Birkin. I also don’t write for Aeon, because I prefer looking at artwork of them rather than writing about them or reading about them, if that makes sense. My main ships are Chreon, Leon x Ashley, JilLeon (Not enough content of them tbh), Jill x Claire, Jake Muller x Sherry Birkin, Kennechenko, Metaltango, and more will be added or removed soon.
Street Fighter Specific:
I write for Ed, Luke, Rashid, Chun-Li, Cammy, Elena (come home faster baby girl), Falke, Poison, Ken (there’s gonna be special rules with him), Ryu, Juri Han, and A.K.I. More will be added or removed soon.
When I write Ken x Reader, I have Reader be Ken’s spouse in place of Eliza, so don’t worry, he’s not being a man hoe while married, he’s gonna be married to reader instead whenever I write any romantic or sexy situation with them. This rule applies to any canonically married character I may become interested in.
Also when I write A.K.I, I am NOT going to ship her with Fang Fei. I know it’s canon that she simps for him, but that’s literally her adopted father and her master, so it’s a “nope” from me.
The Evil Within Specific:
Call me crazy, Ruvik and Stefano are my slasher villain fantasies just like how any girl thirsts for Ghostface. So… when I write sex scenes with them and Reader, always expect hardcore sex acts.
Detroit become Human Specific:
Here, on both my main blog and this blog, Hankcon and Reed900 requests are equally welcomed with open arms. No ship bashing!
I’m not writing anything for Leo Manfred or Todd because screw them.
A lot more things will be added to the future.
All of these rules apply to my A03 too.
My Reasons for blacklisting/blocking someone:
Keep ALL of this in mind and then you’ll know why certain people are blocked.
If you’re rude. No need to explain this any further. You only get to be rude to me once and only once. Cross the line with me, you get blocked.
If you harassed/bullied/threatened someone. I label myself as anti-harassment, and I don’t want that energy anywhere near this blog. Do not act shocked that you got blocked after you threatened me, my followers or someone else.
If you are pro-censorship. Alongside anti-harassment, I’m anti-censorship. We already deal with corpos censoring movies and shows we like, we ain’t dealing with that here.
Being bigoted in general. Again, I don’t need to explain this further. And also, how are you here, on Tumblr being bigoted???
You’re under 18. Yet another explanation that does not need more explanation. The A03 link in my bio has adult content contained in it. The content I make on this blog is adult content. You should not be here. That is why you are blocked/were blocked.

I don't know you, I don't know who or what you ship, but my understanding of anti vs. pro means being anti vs. pro-shipping children with adults and if you think the majority opinion is that that is perfectly fine and normal, you need to go outside and touch grass.
Hi!
I assume you're referring to my addition on that poll post. I'm happy to clear a few things up.
Firstly, Proship IS the default opinion and only in recent years has this anti-ship ideology come about (I have my own theories as to why that is, but that's its own can of worms and I specifically just want to adress this ask).
Any Pro vs Anti definitions were made up and forced on proshippers (again, because pro is the default and Antis are new). As such, Antis have skewed the meaning of proship into basically stating that "all proshippers like and endorse this content, and do not discriminate between content or judge the individuals who make it". This actually goes against what proshippers believe. The entire pro-ship philosophy can essentially be boiled down to "don't like, don't read".
There is a whole hoard of fiction that grosses me out. For instance I hate yandere and non-con, and find incest and minor/adult relationships incredibly gross. I even block the "age-gap" tag because even if they are both consenting, having that much of a power imbalance wiggs me out. I've unfollowed some of my favorite artists because they've posted dynamics and scenes that I don't like (Most recently I unfollowed a very popular artist because I found out they ship Sukufushi: a ship between a 16 year old and an ancient demon possessing another 16 year old. Since it's fiction and not reality, you get these wierd nuances that could never happen in the real world and it is up to the individual to decide what they are comfortable with).
A lot of proshippers actually WILL tell you that people who like pedophilic ships or other dark content (such as rape and snuff fics) ARE gross and sick in the head and that the people who think otherwise are delusional. That doesn't mean that I don't believe that they don't have a right to create that content. I just want them to keep it away from me. Hence why I have those tags blocked on tumblr and why I filter them out when I search for fics.
The proshipper philosophy isn't that problematic ideas/ships are good and should be celebrated, and everyone certaintly doesn't believe that it is "perfectly normal", we just think that if you don't like it then, rather than berating the "freaks" who do, simply block and move on and do your best to keep them out of your thoughts, because ultimately, as disgusting as it is, there is no actual harm in it.
Secondly, Antis seem to believe that we proshippers endorse gross/dark content in real life. I assure you that that is NOT the case. And if an individual does, in fact enact their ficticious-but-irl-illegal fantasies, then that is not an example of the pro-shipper caving in and acting out their sick desires in the real world. It is the case of a REAL LIFE pedophile (or whatever) coming into fandom spaces and then interacting with or creating dark content. Is it possible that this happens? Sure. That doesn't mean that it is the default or even common, and basically every proshipper is in agreement that they are disgusting individuals. Again, this is because proshippers believe that fiction should remain fiction. Any time that make-believe turns into real-world actions, it is no longer make-believe and is now a real danger. Antis refuse to see the difference between the two.
You also mentioned touching grass which I think is a little ironic. The proshipper philosophy is that as long as fiction remains fiction, it has no bearing on the real world. It is Antis that have a hard time recognizing that playing pretend isn't the same as physical wrongdoing. Hence, why proshippers use the term "touch grass": it's meant to remind people that there is more to life than fantasy and online discourse, That it's important to log off and go "touch grass" to remind yourself that there is a difference between the tangible real-world and the imaginary scenarios that people create in their heads.
If you (and others! This isn't meant to be a callout, just informative) have difficulty comprehending this, I encourage you to consider the following scenarios:
1) Murder Mysteries: just because someone writes someone getting murdered, does not mean that they would want to see it happen, and certainly not commit it in real life.
2) BDSM: no party that willingly engages in bdsm is truly getting hurt (except to the extent that they want to be). Smacking someone during sessions does not mean that that person would ever do it in real life, and certainly wouldn't support others doing it
3) rape fantasies: this sort of goes along with bdsm, but there is a large difference between having faith that your trusted partner would never hurt you and only acts out a scenario because you ask them to, and being forced against your will to engage in harmful and/degrading sex acts.
4) Shooter Games: For a long time, people believed that playing violent video games corrupted children's moral and made them crave violence and increased the likelihood that they would want to renact that violence and turn into school shooters. There was actually a study done a while ago examining the link between video game violence and real life consequences....and they found nothing. There was no correlation between committing fictional violence and real world impact.
Fiction =/= real life.
Secondly, Antis have a tendency to invade people's inboxes and leave hate comments everywhere. Sometimes this is just saying "this is gross", but often Antis start harassment campaigns, recruiting multiple individuals to scare and intimidate people whose content they don't like (One tactic is to dump hundreds of graphic, gory images into peoples inboxes. I'm sure you can see how that would be traumatizing). Antis also have a history of doxxing people and causing this ficticious content to cause real-life harm to come to people. This is especially concerning since one of the most common things Antis like to parrot is some variation of "kill yourself".
A lot of Antis actually ARE proshippers, they just don't realize it because they get so caught up with the Anti's hate philosophy that they believe that willingly not engaging with content that they don't like (rather than harassing and condemning people who do) is what proshippers stand against. This is why some proshippers use the terms "anti-harrasment" and "pro-censorship" rather than proshippers and antishippers because it helps to clarify what the pro-shipper philosophy ACTUALLY is.
*phew* that was a long post, wasn't it? Let's both go touch grass together 🤝
#ill link you a post in a bit#ill just put it in a reblog on this post#but typing that all out took a while#and I need to finish cleaning my aquarium before it gets dark#proship#anti-harrassment#feel free to reblog#ask

How do you block and filter fics with rampant racist micro aggression since that's never tagged properly and the writer will have a white meltdown if they're ever confronted with the fact their fic is racist?
I honestly can’t tell if this was in earnest or if it’s meant to be another Gotcha! Attempt from one of the anti-censorship posts I’ve annoyed people with, so I’m going to assume it’s the first and do my best to answer.
As a white woman, I am definitely not someone who should be speaking on racism, since the systemic issues I deal with are very very different.
Unfortunately, though, your experience with such a fic is going to mirror what I’d imagine is also your experience with most other forms of media which don’t flag that kind of behavior: bail. Back out. Don’t finish the thing that is upsetting you. Possibly, (as I’ve done with authors on issues that hit home for me) take note of who’s behind the thing so you know to avoid them in the future, as they’ve broken that trust.
This is also known as curating your space. I don’t remember if I go on that rant in the other two (three?) posts that seem to have picked up, but that’s the READER’s side of the equation. Find your garden and tend it well, keep it how you like it, because it is for you and you alone.
My job as a writer is to tag to the best of my ability so you know exactly what you’re bringing into your garden. I don’t want to spoil your flowers anymore than I want someone to trample on mine.
Hopefully, as people talk about this more, authors will be more open to tagging/ modifying and/or adding a footnote for things exactly like this.
Micro aggressions are especially difficult, since (again, pulling purely from my lived experiences) getting folk to agree on what ‘counts’ is rough. But as an author— I want to share my stories. That’s the point! If I’ve written it, then I damn well better be self-aware enough to tag it, and be willing to ADD TAGS so I’m not breaking trust with the people I’m trying to give nice things to. Hopefully that makes sense?
I’m gonna say that again since I feel it needs it: if you’re comfortable enough to write the Real World problem happening, you’re fully capable of being able to recognize why someone might like the warning. Be kind. Tags only work if you use them.
On AO3, I believe they recently made it possible to block an author entirely, so they no longer show up in the results for your searches.
I’ve run across exactly one author I’d have blocked if it was possible at the time, because he refused to add tags to a story that… really needed tags. And, going through the comments in later chapters, dozens of people have asked him to update tags. He claims that doing so will ‘ruin the story’ despite the graphic raped-to-death-then-magically-revived bit having literally nothing to do with the plot at all. Instead, it comes out of literally nowhere in an otherwise really well written tale, and was deeply deeply upsetting to the point that his response to my first chapter squee was “yeah, tell me if you still like it after chapter X”. (Unfortunately i am a very fast reader and had already gotten that far and bailed immediately. Dude if you KNOW it’s THAT upsetting to so many people ADD THE TAG.)
I’ll never read anything he’s written again, just like I refuse to read anything by JKR ( awful human) or Terry Goodkind (I can’t stand how he handles his female characters. At all.)
Obviously these two examples are not identical, but it’s the main comparison I have on hand.
This isn’t meant to sound like I’m belittling or downplaying that concern at all. But until people get better at tagging—and I really wish traditional books and other media would ALSO tag, because I’m very very tired of running into Specific Things without any fucking warning— you have to protect yourself and your happy place by putting up a fence, and booting unsavory things right back over it.
—side note: for those worried about spoiling the plot you can…skip the tags... just know you’re choosing to walk in blind. OR! And I wish i could figure it out—you can add! A hyperlink! That takes you to the footnote at the BOTTOM to add things that deserve a warning but might be spoilers! There’s even a tag for that! ‘More tags in notes!’ These are good and useful things! Use them so your readers can better curate their spaces!—
The system isn’t perfect by any means. There are a million ways to improve, and we’re trying! But please, please y’all use the damn tags because right now it’s the only system we’ve got. Take care of each other.

Thank you for speaking out about Western centrism.
In one of your last your last post you mentioned in the tags that Ukrainians were traumatized living in Germany and fled in horror.
What caused this? What can Germans do to make Ukrainians feel welcome here
I am Ukrainian diaspora living in Germany and working with Ukrainian refugees here. Ukrainians refugees have told me that they can't believe that some Germans are unwilling to support Ukraine, while their family and friends are bombed in Ukraine and they themselves experienced air strikes. They are angry that some Germans think they deserve to die and are calling for so called "peace"
Hi! First of all, thank you for helping our people out - this really means a lot. If not for the genuine help that came from common people, I don't know what we'd be doing by now. So thank you once again.
Appeasenick Germans are, undoubtely, an infuriating factor, but I have huge doubts they can be, like… talked out of it. It would be nice to at least keep them away from traumatised refugees, but I currently cannot see any realistic solutions to this problem.
The biggest trouble, of course, is the parts of the German government that advocate for appeasement and prevent us from getting weapons. Sorry but this is Нікчемщина
The things I've heard people complaining about the most are of bureocratic nature, and I'm afraid this is not something that can be changed overnight. But this comes back to my point that every country has its pros and cons; for many years we looked up to Germany as an ideal of perfect European life, and after going there, we discovered that many things are much more comfortable in Ukraine.
For example, opening a bank account. To do this in Ukraine, I don't even need to leave my home - this can be done in half an hour through an app. A shitton of governmental services are fully digital as well - like opening a private business or applying for a marriage - and full digitalisation of the governmental services is in the plans. Another thing that is much better in Ukraine - we don't need to wait months for a doctor's appointment. Some time ago I needed to visit a doctor, so I just walked into my nearest hospital, and there just was a free opening in an hour. I had a consultation, ultrasound and prescription in one go, and all of it was for free. Oh, and not to mention, shops and other establishments are open on Sundays. Should I even mention the difference between Deutschebahn and Ukrzaliznytsya? Guys, sometimes I wonder how do you even survive like this.
Now, to think about it, I have heard some problems ukrainians had in german refugee centres specifically. For example, the abundance of russian workers. Now, I fully understand and respect their desire to help refugees, it is a morally sound choice, but you have to understand that many people flee from occupied towns or places that underwent constant bombings. Many women escaped to Europe after being raped by russian soldiers. They might be literally triggered by being in the proximity of russians or hearing russian language, yet german government had dispatched them to work in centres because "we speak the same language"? At the very least there needs to be some type of filtering system to screen out the russians who will get angry at ukrainians for not acting sufficiently grateful for their help, or genuine rushists (I have heard a story of one old russian man in Germany who was yelling at the ukrainians for not taking russian passports and "provoking" russia into attacking Ukraine. wtf). Oh, and another issue I've heard about is that many paper materials like leaflets etc. are only avaliable in translated into russian, but not ukrainian. This is genuinely insulting because it reinforces the already existent stereotype that "ukrainians don't need ukrainian language since they understand russian anyway".
A necessary disclaimer that the problems described above are not an issue to everybody - a plenty of ukrainians are perfectly fine with being around russians.
Also, not all refugees from Ukraine are met equally as well - roma people in particular face much more trouble getting help and are often denied the services accessible to other ukrainians.
This topic was widely discussed around last summer, and most of the info I know is from that period; so if the issues I've described have been fixed - good. Hope my answer was of any help.

ok i wanna make my own tips post for the redditors
hello welcome :] here's some things i've noticed it seems a lot of you aren't aware of. i might add more later:
first of all, PLEASE turn on custom theme! you don't have to actually make or find a theme yourself as it gives you a default one, (but it is really fun and good to personalize your blog however you want) but doing this makes it easier to view and search your own blog, as i will describe later. this makes it so that you will show up at yoururl.tumblr.com and not just tumblr.com/yoururl it gives you your own page! it's good!! you can only tick this setting on desktop:
another very important thing: DO NOT FUCKING REPOST ART WITHOUT CREDIT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. honestly you should not report art without permission at all, but at LEAST credit the artist. and saying "idk who did this but credit to them" DOES NOT COUNT. take some time to reverse google image search and find the artist. if you can't find them, DON'T REPOST!!! turning the art into a meme doesn't mean you don't have to credit the artist!!!!!! AAHHH!! ok.
TAGS/SEARCHING in reblogs, all tags serve to do is (a) leave a bit of quiet commentary, if you're too shy to leave it in the actual body of the post or (b) organize posts on Your Blog Only. tagging a reblog does not make the post show up in the searchable tag. reblogs are not searchable through the tumblr search bar.
to find posts from a certain tag on your own blog, go to yoururl.tumblr.com/tagged/tag. you can also add /chrono to the end of that url to view the posts in chronological order! you actually don't need to tag original posts with every variation of a tag either. for example if you tag something as "r/196", it will show up when just "196" is searched for, because it contains "196" in it. so you dont NEED to tag the post "196, r196, r/196" etc. but i mean. do whatever u want. honestly i think a lot of veteran tumblr users don't even know that. but yeah tagging with a ton of variations like that is unnecessary unless you're spelling something differently or doing an abbreviation as well as a full title, such as "#what we do in the shadows, #wwdits"
also, your posts are searchable by literally any word in the post, whether it be the body, the tags, or even your url. so if your url has 'catboy' in it, and someone searches 'catboy' they will see all of your original posts in the tag lmao. it is pretty stupid but that's how it works.
on that note, FILTERING with filtering tags, it is very specific. so if youre content warning tagging something, please just tag it with the word, like "#blood" because if you tag it "#cw blood" or "#blood ///" people who just have "#blood" blocked, will still see the post! lots of veteran tumblr users don't seem to grasp this either 😭
you can filter out words as well as tags, but that can get tricky because if you filter out "rape" words like "grape" and "drape" will also be blocked, so i only use the word filter to block peoples urls. because even if you have someone blocked, you can still see people reblogging their posts, so if u don't wanna see them at all, block their url as a filtered word.
you can do all of this in the regular ol' 'settings' tab on desktop. on mobile it's settings -> general settings -> filtering
PAGES something i love about tumblr but is getting used less and less is the ability to make separate pages on your blog. the option to do so is all the way at the bottom on the theme customization panel. (only available on desktop tumblr)
nowadays a lot of people just make a carrd and provide a link to that, but tumblr allows you to make your own separate blog pages! a lot of people use this to make "about me" pages, since it provides a lot more freedom than just the "blog description" section! you can put images on there, and just completely code the whole thing yourself! unfortunately, these pages aren't visible on mobile unless you link to them in your blog description (see my blog as an example) using <a href="link">link title</a> lots of people have links like this in their descriptions that lead to about pages or carrds! you should click on these to learn more about the person you're following!!
some people have "DNI (do not interact)" or "BYF (before you follow)" pages to set boundaries on who they do or don't want following them, as a warning of like "hey if you fall under this criteria and you follow/interact with me, you're getting blocked" so those are good to check for! some folks have lots of strong opinions on these that theyre "stupid" or "useless" but really it's just a warning and setting boundaries. like, if you follow me and ur not supposed to, i'm just gonna block you anyway, it was just a warning that that's what was gonna happen!
speaking of blocking, just fuckin' block whoever you want whenever you want. if you find someone annoying just block them. if they post something you don't like just block them. there's no need to get into an argument. just block! and they're gone! wheeee!!
SIDEBLOGS!!! you can have separate blogs from your main one that are connected to your same account! some people have tooooons of sideblogs for every single fandom they're in, some people just use their main for everything. it's up to you!
note that you can only like posts, send asks, follow people, and reply to posts under your main blog url. sideblogs are just for posting and reblogging in a more organized manner :] it's good to say in the description of your side blog what your main blog is so people know who you are when you like and reply to posts and such! (and also to list your sideblogs somewhere on ur main for the same reason. i use the aforementioned about page for this ^u^)
um that's it for now! there's a lot of other things i could talk about, but i'm sure other posts are covering it.. these are just ones i really want to iterate, especially the tags thing cause i think a lot of tumblr users don't even realize that lol ^u^ i've been active as fuck on tumblr since 2013 so I can answer questions if you have any :)

Hi. That one user who replied to your post about proshipping is dead wrong. Full stop.
I’d suggest going onto Fanlore (a creditable source!) and researching for yourself, but I’d also like to help explain.
Proship means you’re in favor of shipping. Like how people are pro-choice, or pro-life, or pro-gun. The pro- in proship is NOT short for, and does NOT stand for, problematic. Otherwise pro-choice would be problematic-choice and that doesn’t make sense? Pro- as in for. For the right to choose. Vs anti. Anti-abortion. Anti-gun. Anti-ship.
Proship means “ship and let ship.” It means you don’t harass other people for liking things different to you because everyone is different and has different likes and dislikes. Maybe you like fluff (for example) but someone else likes angst. You may not understand why they do, but it’s just as valid as your love for fluff. Or like A likes pineapple on pizza but you like pepperoni. Or I like cilantro but you think it tastes like soap. Fandom is a big pizza party and we all have things we like and things we don’t. That includes age gap ships, toxicity, rape/non-con, incest, violence, what have you.
When you judge someone for what they like (like that person, who can’t even type out what they despise) you open yourself up for judgement. Proship... doesn’t do that. If you like X and I don’t like X, that has nothing to do with me. You can like X and I can like Y and we can still get along because there’s more to us as individuals than just liking one thing. Antis/antishippers don’t seem to understand that.
Antis think you are what you eat (“oh you like age gap? You pedo. You groomer! Ew you like yandere? Abuse apologist—no I don’t care if you survived that, you’re still bad for liking it. You like non-con? You’re a literal rapist, even if you’ve never touched anyone or are a survivor. You like incest? Again, don’t care if you survived it but I bet you wanna fuck your IRL sister too, huh? You freak! KYS!”) because they attach morals to their consumption of fiction. But the funny thing is liking only wholesome shit hasn’t made them any nicer. It just makes them feel morally superior.
It’s worth noting proship was the default stance in fandom. People shipped what they liked and didn’t care what others did because it had nothing to do with them. If you found something weird and it made you uncomfortable, you just closed the tab. Hit the back button. And that’s what proship is. Proship is also tagging properly so if people do have problems with certain subjects, they don’t have to see it. If I can’t stand rape/non-con, for example, I’m not going to click on a fic tagged “rape/non-con” if I even see it because I know it’ll only hurt me. But a work tagged r*pe/n0n-c0n won’t be filtered out so I will see it and it’ll hurt me because the author thought they were helping by censoring but they didn’t.
Again, please please please do research. Don’t just take the word of a stranger who throws emotionally-charged buzzwords to sway you into their favor. Please. And that goes for this ask too. If you don’t believe or want to believe me, I implore you to do your research and decide for yourself.
Thanks for your time!
oh wow, thank you for putting the time to respond to my post I appreciate it. I'm not going to add my take on it, but i will do some research on it. but thank u love!!

i see that nsfw content is fine as long as its tagged, are there any specific rules for content that includes archive warnings? is tagging fine?
very excited btw!!!!
hi! thanks for the question!
any content (that includes content archive warnings apply to!) is fine as long as it's tagged properly. on ao3 that includes using all the appropriate tags that apply to your fic and on tumblr that includes using trigger warnings if needed.
for example: if you post a fic on ao3 with the archive warning for rape/non-con and you post about it on tumblr, make sure to include that warning somewhere on the post – either in the post where it's well visible or in the tags so it can be filtered out by people who don't like that kind of content.
the idea is to make it easy for people to know what they're getting into and to be able to curate their experience so we can all have a good time!
if you're still unsure about what tags to use on a specific creation feel free to send an ask or a message! hope this helps!
and thank you for being excited! 😊💞

WRT olderthannetfic.tumblr.com/post/705037401462030336/from-the-ao3-terms-of-service-additional, fr someone in the comments said I had to put on the rape/noncon tag for *one sentence* in a (consensual) PWP for a villain ship just last month. But "brief references to rape," is literally the example used in the TOS where it talks about writers using discretion for warning tags. I got a funny insight into how annoying it must be trying to filter "rape" for any reason.

FANDOM FRIDAY IS BACK! START SENDING YOUR FAVORITE FANDOM CREATIONS FROM THIS WEEK IN FOR ME TO QUEUE UP FOR FRIDAY!
You may submit for this week until THURSDAY MORNING (I’m in the Pacific timezone). Anything received after that will roll to the next week. A summary of the weeks’ recs will get added onto this post on Saturday, so check back here for all of the awesome fics and art! And be sure to go give the creations on that list some love (and don’t just share the ask responses I put out).
This week’s submissions will start posting on Friday, September 15.
NO incest, underage, cl*necest, master/padawan (or similar power dynamics), dub-con/non-con/rape.
If your rec involves spoilers from a show that’s currently running, please include that info in the ask so I can tag it appropriately (I will normally tag a few different ways, but I always use #<show title> spoilers if you need to filter, for example: Andor spoilers will be tagged #Andor Spoilers).

Hi! Anon from the other time. Thank you for your response!! I was just curious cause it was kinda worrying that it was being used on posts about active genocides? Not trying to start anything!! but regardless of anxiety or not.. it's still a bit odd? considering that people not living in the active genocide are trying their best to have their voices heard but they're getting limited because its uncomfortable for the people not having to go through those struggles..
I hope this makes sense? I just wanted you to know it feels a bit insensitive.. Again not trying to start anything I just felt off seeing such a tag given the situation.. I thought it might be good to know that it can come off that way
I appreciate what you are saying anon, and thank you again for the kindness in your concern, but the tag isn't so somebody can filter posts regarding current (or previous) "genocides". I re-blog plenty of posts that talk about Palestine, or other issues in the world, and I DON'T use that tag for them. Again, I'm hesitant to explain this in a way that won't make sense, because it isn't MY personal issue, but the tag is more for any kind of post that has text similar to "You better reblog this" or "You have to share this right now", and this includes those posts that are just games- "If you see this post, you HAVE to reblog with your favorite movie!" or art posts that imply "Don't just like this, I want reblogs!" and so-on. Some people use the tag "reblog bait" for the silly posts, but they will also use it for legit donation posts... and I personally don't like calling a donation post "bait". So, for the one person who requested it, I use a tag they can filter only when it applies, but I still share important posts, and use tags that makes sense.
To be clear, I think it is VERY important to share news about what is going on in the world, and to ignore it all just because it sounds "uncomfortable" isn't fair. The tragedy is intense, and it should be acknowledged. Still, if I shared a post about a genocide that included pictures of people who have been harmed, I would still use tags that apply- "blood" or "death mention", for example. Some people filter tags like that because they've lived through violence themselves, and there are even people who are personally connected to the genocides happening right now who at least want a little warning/consideration before they see something especially harsh. I'm not going to fault somebody who isn't white for filtering the tags for "racism", or a Jewish person for filtering tags about "antisemitism", or a survivor of sexual assault for filtering tags about "rape". However, it is still important to learn about these things and share them (I make the choice to get over whatever might make me uncomfortable and still share important posts, because HOPEFULLY it can help somehow, and it isn't all about ME. I can't control what other people care about, but I can still share things that either have information about a tragedy, advice on how to give donations, or positivity and hope).
Once more, that particular tag is NOT for Palestine in general, any "genocides", or even violence/bigotry; it is for a specific person who has expressed to me an issue with text like "This post must be reblogged", even jokingly. I can't tag for EVERY issue or potential trigger that exists (because that's literally everything; I don't mean that in a mocking way, triggers are serious, even if it sounds like something "silly"- and they can be anything, for a multitude of reasons), but this was something that was shared and discussed with me, so I try to be understanding. I also try to tag for well-known and intense issues. Sometimes I over-correct myself and add a tag to certain posts, just in case it applies... but I wouldn't want to ignore donation/helpful posts altogether, or anything that shares important information. The world is full of horrible things that shouldn't be ignored, but also wonderful things that deserve to be known.
I know you aren't trying to be confrontational, and I understand why you were worried. I definitely agree with your intentions; painful subjects should still be shared. I'm sorry for replying with so much text, I didn't want to sound like I didn't take this seriously, or miss something... and I don't want to over-step by explaining and issue another person has, or make them feel guilty for not "defending" themselves (and I'll say again; the tag in question isn't for genocides, just certain text/tone in various posts). Thank you for checking anon, I think you are genuinely very conscientious~

Saw your comment about being new to tumblr and not knowing how censorship works here so i thought id say hi and give you some 101 info. So tumblr doesnt ban you or punish you for any "bad word" you can say "kill, rape, fuck, sex, suicide, abortion, ass, murder" on any post and nothing will happen to said post. If however your worried about certain topics like suicide being triggering to some people all you have to do is tag it at the bottom of the post as "tw suicide" or "cw rape" as examples. Its very frowned upon here to spell things wrong with *** symbols because if someone has blacklisted the word "suicide" and you write it as "su*c*de" then that person blacklist wont filter that post and they will potentially see very triggering content. The only posts that get flagged by the site are posts with full nudity, especially if they arent properly tagged. Or if someone is not using tags properly and spams unrelated tags, theyll get reported as spam. Let me kbow if you have any questions!
Thank you for having take time to answer me! 😁
(I knew we had to avoid censor the TW for that reason)
Are you sure it wo4ks with comments/tags/pm too? (For the PM, in the case if the person don't signal it.)
